I hope y'all don't expect me to write anything super serious in Multive Mayhem Madness (aka His World Verse).

I have attempted- and failed- to write a serious convo between Leonidas and Draxum but that flopped harder than fish on a dock.

I have attempted- and failed- to write Leonidas breaking down about his role in the new world.

Maybe I'm still not 100% recovered from this sickness. But for the life of me, I can't write this chapter. The closest I get is Leonidas sleeping on his shell, crumbs of cookies all over his mouth, and mystic scrolls all around him after a late night binge reading everything mystic as he delves head first into his old obsession of loving magic.

I'm also gonna be a bit busy cause I gotta survey some universities to further education. Basically interact with real life and get my shit together.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

The second you start talking about some mysterious "they" that are controlling society in some fashion, you are engaging in dangerous conspiratorial thinking even if you're being woke about it. "They" did not institute the 40 hour work week specifically so you would be too tired to revolt. "They" did not invent the sleek minimalist aesthetic in order to crush the spirit of art in the common people. "They" are not pushing mediocre media into the mainstream in order to poison people's critical thinking skills.

Your best case scenario after that is you talk to someone who actually knows what the fuck they're talking about and you get embarrassed because you can't answer basic questions about your own ideology because you never learned anything past "the ruling class/capitalists/politicians are making things bad and if we got rid of them the bad things would all go away!"

Obligatory round of disclaimers: Yes, sometimes people do bad things. Be specific about exactly who is doing what instead of ascribing it to some vague group of shadowy elites. Learn to identify the root causes of complex social issues instead of assuming that they're actually extremely simple to fix and we're just not doing it because of some vague group of shadowy elites. A series of mystery movies about many different murders all happening in the same train in each movie

The train always end up either stopping or derailed or sm and the regular passengers just get used to it at some point, which confuses the rest of the passengers

Also the protagonist start to be something of a train expert what with all the time he spent in a train solving mystery after mystery. After a while he start to have something of a found family relationship with reoccurring characters and maybe a romance plot or two. Some of these characters die tho and it's devastating for everyone involved

The most important part is that none of the mysteries are connected or done by the same person or anything. It's just. A bunch of people doing crimes in this particular train. Always in this train for some reason. Always. And always ending up with a fight scene on top of the train.

Also in the last movie the crime has to be done by the conductor, who at this point is so convinced there will always be a crime when the protagonist and his group are there that he decided to kill them himself, afraid of being the next victim or just trying to stop them thinkong they are either just a really bad omen or the killers and have been accusing other people this whole time.

so my younger cousin is flying in to visit from brazil on sunday, and will be staying here for like, the entirety of july. which, don't get me wrong, is super cool! i love the kid! but it felt like a super weird move, considering his parents are the SUPER strict and borderline helicopter parents. even the smallest prank/roughousing with him/his little sister would lead to a strict talking to from his parents, he couldn't ever do anything without their clear permission, that sort of stuff. so letting him fly at alone at 16 to a whole different country and stay there for a whole month seemed WILDLY out of character. additionally, it just felt like a super last-minute trip. it's not like we have any plans to do when he gets here, and the flight itself and stuff only got booked like, midway through june.

and i was talking to my mom about it, kind of trying to nudge some answers out of her, and after a while she went, "yeah, i think they're sending him over here to get away for his boyfriend. see if the distance breaks them off." which, first of all, surprised me because last i checked, they didn't KNOW he had a boyfriend. literally everyone in the family did EXCEPT for them because while that entire side of the family being semi-conservative, his parents (mostly his dad) are EXTREMELY old-fashioned. so clearly something already went wrong. and considering the only reason the rest of the family knew is because one person found out and it spread like wildfire, i have a sneaking suspicion he wasn't the one to tell them, either.

and second of all. they're sending him HERE. to try to make him forget his homosexuality. i couldn't do anything but just wordlessly gesture to the multiple pride flags scattered around my room, then to myself, because really? he has like two other cousins in the us and they're sending him to me? honey i am about to introduce this kid to queer scenes you have never even heard of. he'll be returning home with labels only shrimp can perceive
