ANOTHER FOSTER FAIL!

Hartley came to us on September 7, 2024. He was found in a graveyard in Lakeport, CA. We think someone dumped him there because he’s very affectionate. Hartley’s original mobility challenges were in his back legs and right front leg. By the time he arrived here he was using his back legs (100%) but still lame on his right front leg. Well, that quickly cleared up, too, and now Hartley is using all 4 legs 100%.

We placed Hartley in foster care with volunteer Irina because Hartley was very small for his age. With Irina and her family, Hartley would receive more attention, which would hopefully stimulate his appetite. Well, it has! Although Hartley’s still a bit small for his age, he’s catching up and growing fast.

Of course, once you meet Hartley you instantly fall in love with him. And that’s what happened with Irina and her family, husband Michael and daughter, Sasha.

Thank you, Irina, Michael and Sasha, for giving Hartley a wonderful, new, loving home!

This is Copper. He’s 3 years 11 months-old and sponsored by Chelsea Warren. SNAP Cats rescued Copper from Oakland, CA. Despite his age, Copper still plays like a 3 month-old kitten. He loves to chase things, especially spring toys. He LOVES spring toys. They’ll keep him occupied for hours. Copper gets along well with other kitties, and loves human attention. He can get overstimulated when being pet, but Copper’s much better now than he was when he first arrived.

Copper tries to use the litter box some of the time. However, there will be some mess on the floor so that’s something to keep in mind. And you’ll need to keep an eye on his backside as he scoots around on it and it can get irritated.

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!

Meet Clyde. He's 1 year 10 months-old and sponsored by Amber Wells. SNAP Cats rescued Clyde from Kings County (CA). When Clyde first arrived with his sister, Bonnie, they were very bonded. Since then, the two have gradually de-bonded (there’s that word again!), and Bonnie was adopted!

Clyde can be a bit skittish to begin with, but once he gets to know you, he’ll warm up quickly, especially if there’s food involved! Despite missing both back paws, Clyde gets around great. His legs stay sore-free, so they shouldn’t be an issue in the future. Clyde did have a hematoma on his ear, thus the crinkling, but it’s healed, and we think adds a bit of character.

STAN THE MAN!

Stanley is 7 years 9 months-old and sponsored by Michael Snider. SNAP Cats rescued Stanley from Hanford, CA. Stanley is a real sweetheart! He gets along great with the other kitties here, and could probably tolerate a cat-friendly dog. We’re not sure if Stanley will use the litter box all of the time, but he makes an effort to go there… sometimes. Since he’s been here he’s gained a bit more control of his functions. But, he's basically incontinent. Which means he's a very messy, bath-a-day kitty. But look at that face. Is a bath-a-day too much to ask?! We think not!

We just rescued two kittens from Solano County, Tipsy (yes we are) and Spunky (we’re thinking about it). Tipsy is, well, ataxic. Big surprise. Spunky has neurological challenges. We don’t have any good pictures yet, but you can see both at the links below:
