So the whole basic idea of the midnight and MB in wonderland idea is based on midnights interpretation of wonderland and insecurities in her mind.

The whole story is based off that short kitty short,the cats in the beginning bullying her for being a cry baby cause she dosent find thier tricks funny. The cats of the table being overly critical about how she looks and how they think she’s ugly. The catipiller attack her kind attitude by saying she’s just wimp who can’t fend for herself and finally the queen who attacks her for her biggest “flaw” the fact that she is a black cat and therefore bad luck and therefore dosent deserve happiness or even exist cause she’s a curse.

However,even in this hellish dreamscape,MB is still a supportive dad that comforts,defends and supports and helps his daughter through thick and thin,cause he loves midnight the way she is and even if she can annoy him sometimes,he wouldn’t change a thing about his lil mi-mi. ÓwÒ
