Hello! I am SO hyperfixated on the fact that the overblot form CAN be controlled??? That’s the case with Malleus isn’t it? And I guess on one hand I can see how Idia can control it too because of his “curse/blessing” (and sheer will and spite).

Maybe this is foreshadowing that maybe it’s possible for the other OB boys to do so as well???? I don’t know how it’ll work with them but I’m so excited. Overblot cards potential AAAH

Yeah, I definitely think that OB Idia battle segment opens the floodgates for potential SSR Overblot Troublemaker(s) cards 💀 (RIP to the OB gang fans)

As a refresher for everyone (since it has been a while), alllllll the way back in book 1, Crowley and Cater describe “overblot” as thus: “[… being] overcome by negative energy and[…] losing control of [one’s] magic and emotions,” and “evil berserk mode”.

We’ve seen many examples of these traits in the main story campaign; oftentimes, the OB boy in question is impossible to reason with and has to be subdued via battle. However, it’s important to note that while the OBs may be primarily driven by their emotions, it is not purely rage but rather negative feelings in general. Yes, many OBs (Riddle, Leona, Azul, Vil, etc.) do attack others—but other OBs demonstrate moments of calm (ie when their demands are met). For example, Jamil is tame when he believes he has banished Kalim, secured hypnotized Scarabia mobs, and reigns over the dorm as its new leader. I do believe anger is still a large component of the behavior of one who has overblotted though; that rage most certainly clouds a person’s judgment and compels them to strike out at the slightest thing.

Now, about the idea of “controlling” OBs… I don’t that that can actually be done?? We have to remember that Malleus is a VERY powerful mage—and this alone could give him an “edge” that others don’t when it comes to being fully aware while in OB (though I believe both Malleus and Vil indicate early on they notice their blot building). As Idia’s dad states, Malleus is drawing his magic from nature itself and therefore has a limitless supply it. Secondly, I wouldn’t call Malleus’s OB “controlling” it to begin with. It’s clear that he’s still running high on emotions and is unwilling to hear others out or have them interfere with his plans. These are still traits associated with OB; it’s not as though Malleus is “overriding” the unreasonable thoughts, he is still ruled by them and acts on them. I think what you (maybe?) mean is that Malleus has a much more calculating approach and more precise control over how he wields his power rather than indiscriminately smashing stuff in his path. This, again, could do with his insane power level compared to his peers. Unlike most other OBs, his goal (at least in his own framing) before he overblotted to begin with wasn’t to “take away”, but rather to “gift” happy endings to everyone. This sets him apart just based on interests alone, and that’s perhaps why he acts the most different in the lot.

Now let’s consider the circumstances under which Idia OBs a second time: it’s in a dream, meaning it’s questionable whether or not this would transfer over to real life. Because it’s Idia’s dream, he has more autonomy in it, particularly because he is now “awake”/conscious of the fact that it is a dream. Secondly, Idia bears the Shroud family’s curse/blessing, which allows him to “power up” the more blot is present, as it serves as fuel for his magic. This alone makes him a “special case” which could explain the unusual amount of control he exerts over his OB form. (Again though, I’d wager it’s mostly the dream environment.)

I do see maybe the other OB boys doing a similar “oh, lemme OB to help you guys fight” in a dream situation where there are fewer limits on what they can do, but not in a real world setting. It would put them all at risk anyway, as they lack Idia’s curse/blessing or Malleus’s fae powers. Is that worth the risk, knowing they could all die or potentially turn on their classmates?

I just don’t see OB becoming a “tool” or a magical girl transformation the characters could pull out for combat purposes in the story (though this is possible for like the gameplay outside of the story). I highly doubt OB is like something you could train yourself to control; it’s less like bulking up at the gym and more like pushing yourself to keep exercising while you’re high on adrenaline… Sooner or later, you’d burn out and injure yourself in that overexertion.

If there ever are OB cards, I can easily see them as being the type that don’t come with vignettes because… what reasonable story could you conjure up to explain the OBing again? If there are vignettes, then they most likely won’t fit into the main story canon. You’d have to frame the OB cards as “within the moment” of whatever book they OB’d in, and perhaps go more in-depth about the trauma or something along those lines.

Twisting your Carnival

Time to do my number 1 activity and that is forcing different characters into TWST. This time is Nu:Carnival. I'll be assigning Dorms and Clubs. This takes place in the idea of them waking up via a lot of carriages stole them all overnight but after a time Yuu is already there and running Ramshackle by themselves, but before the first overblot happens. So Yuu is new as well and these boys are late delivery. note: I always write the college as well an actual college. Everyone is at least 18+ here.

Eiden- Ramshackle is a pretty obvious choice due to his lack of magic usage. He serves as a good member of the misfit dorm as Yuu's unofficial Vice. He ended up joining Film Research Club as a costume designer and maker. He ends up being a head in that area quickly due to how well he does his work.

Aster- Octavinelle is pretty obvious really. Aster and Azul are going to get along scarily well really. Aster is very excited to try to get what he can info wise to try to set up business here too. He ends up joining the Science club but more on the side of studying various topics in it to see if he can make one profitable. He stays mostly to the side cultivating plants.

Morvay- He was harder on me but I landed on Savanaclaw. He isn't doing much but eyeing down them all, and then sleeping with them all. Quite a few times over actually. He also does join spelldrive but again it was just to watch sweaty shirtless men so he isn't much help. Basically the unofficial cheerleader.

Olivine- He ended up in Pomefiore because of how inline he was with the dorms tenacity with how he tried to escape his decided fate. To add on it he tried to do so by "poisoning" his alter which lines up with the dorms alchemy inclinations. He ends up joining the film research club behind the scenes as someone who helps transporting supplies and props.

Yakumo- Diasomnia but not in the way the dorm described its students as being above average already but in the way the dorm would help him actually learn to use his powers where he finally is reaching closer to his impressive strength he’s meant to have. He doesn't choose a club but instead chooses to work the lounge as a cook for a few days a week. He loves learning the recipes from Jade for this world, and manages to recreate ones he knew already. He mostly works with Jade during dinner and makes specials or soups.

Quincy- Savanaclaw. It just felt correct. All vibes. He does join the Mountain Lovers Club with Jade and they get along super well. Quincy being so good in the woods ends up being an extremely valuable for Jade to fill in knowledge he didn't have yet.

Kuya- Pomefiore for the fox man. He's one I did partly base this on he'd be pretty in the uniform. But he would fit the queens ideals on his own level. He ends up joining the Board Game Club and loves it. He finds the games enjoyable and especially loves tabletop rpgs but as a DM. Letting him run games means he is pulling wild shit on everyone though. He's chaos itself.

Edmond- Heartslabyul. This man is the perfect person for this. He knows every rule. He wouldn't break them if he can help it and ends up a model student. He also joins the Equestrian Club and does fantastic at that as well.

Garu- Scarabia newest resident. He loves Kalim. He tries to be good for Jamil but honestly Jamil is cold to basically everyone so it ends up being a push and pull issue with them. Garu pop music club!! Kalim heard him sing and invited him and Cater and Lilia take to him so quickly. IE: they gave him headpats and he happily stayed.

Blade- Ignihyde...yes just because he's an android. No I have no other reason. But let me bring forth Blade Ortho best friends would be peak. I rest my case. He also joins the Gargoyle Study Club and loves it. He makes little guys and gives them to Eiden.

Dante- Another Savanaclaw but he's more so in here because I think he could be what finally pushes Leona to really introspect. Dante's attitude mixed with his position could easily end up making the one person who finally gets to our lion prince. They would argue a lot but Leona isn't about to let someone else show him up in his own dorm. He ends up in the basketball club and is pretty good at the sport rather quickly.

Rei- Diasomnia and he's studying the fae. He is mildly concerning to have around. He would love the Fae to study especially Sebek with his unique situation. He is one who joins the science club but does actual science.

Rin-Diasomnia but you'd never guess since he's following Eiden around anyway which also goes for his club. He joined film club too.

VII. ON THE STAFF AT THE PALACE

there are around 50 staff working at the palace at any given time. stolas employs a variety of hellborn, between imps, hellhounds and succubi (though the majority of his staff is indeed made up of imps.)

1 butler in charge of 10 footmen, who also serves as a valet, ie. he will greet & announce guests, and personally look after the lord of the house, including dressing and preening him - he is basically trained to anticipate and meet stolas' every need. formerly mr butler ( @mrbutlers ), currently pringles impington, a tiny, discreet and hard working imp who came highly recommended by mr butler. when stolas' was a youth, the butler was also in charge of the young prince's ars goetia education and upbringing, so he had a more prominent role in the household - he acted as a steward and father figure of sorts in paimon's place.

1 ladies' maid in charge of waiting on stella and octavia.

1 housekeeper, in charge of running the household and overseeing 15 maids.

1 head chef, 2 assistant cooks / apprentices and 3 kitchen waitstaff. temporary waitstaff and security will be hired for grand catered parties.

1 nanny, while octavia was a chick

1 chauffer for stella and octavia - stolas usually travels by portal.

1 carefully selected gardener, expert in caring for exotic plants. though stolas does most of the work when it comes to the plants in the house and greenhouse, the gardener will look after maintaining the wider grounds of the estate.

1 archivist, entrusted with his vast collection of literature and magical artefacts; they will not have access to the grimoire or other out of bounds, powerful literature and artefacts - those are kept under lock and key in stolas' private quarters.

1 steward / custodian - verse dependent but currently @keeperofquestions and @dark-ambition, entrusted with the smooth running of the household accounts, checking staff, legions and supplies (household and military), managing the estate and other ad hoc tasks. acts as a sort of advisor and has in depth knowledge of the ars goetia politics.

4 hellhound bodyguards, in charge of personal security. his palace and estate are protected by magical warding glyphs.

stolas doesn't personally select all of his staff, but he entrusts that task to the butler, steward, housekeeper and head chef; however he will be directly involved in selecting the four of them, plus the nanny, gardener and archivist - the main positions of trust at the palace.

being employed in an ars goetia household can be very daunting and extremely nerve-racking hard work, depending on the family, but it is also known to be exceptionally well paid, and comes with a hefty dose of prestige.

NOTE: there are other general ars goetia staff positions, like tailor ( @aroyaltailor) painter etc. those are not necessarily employed by stolas but he will visit them and employ their services when needed.

Heartslaybul - I think Heartslaybul's bakery would have very delicious tarts. For their Signature Baked Item, I would think a raspberry jam-filled tartlet, with a crown design baked and placed carefully on the top. I chose raspberry because I really enjoy the flavour and I like the beautiful deep red colour of the jam. I feel the red would fit very well in a Heartslaybul theme, and the crown of course represents the Queen of Hearts.

Savanaclaw - Ok, we ALL know how Ruggie lost his mind in the Tsumderland event and cried "They turned Leona into a marketable plushie!!!😭". So like, you know Japanese Hamster Bread? Like that, except little lions. Entirely Ruggie's idea, and he is ecstatic at the profit they are bringing in. (Leona has no clue this is a thing. Ruggie will not tell him. Vil buys one every week just so he can bite its head off and then gives the body to Rook.)

Octavinelle - Cupcakes. They're fun and there's so many ways to decorate them. Specifically, for the Signature Cupcake: a purple batter that bakes into a lovely lilac coloured cupcake. The decoration: icing of blues and greens in a pattern that resembles waves, with a cream-coloured coiled shell made entirely of icing on top, and edible silver ball sprinkles scattered over it. I would like to think Azul has them make a "surprise" cupcake. There's always one cupcake per batch that has a filling of some kind, cream cheese icing, chocolate, vanilla...basically whatever Floyd is feeling that day (the cupcake itself is a vanilla flavour, which goes with pretty much any other flavour). The thing that draws people in is that they could get the cupcake with the filling! Rumour has it, the filling cupcake is Lucky and will help you pass your exams/assignments with flying colours (a rumour that Jade Definitely Did Not Start) and so demand is high. Which, of course, allows Azul to charge more for the cupcakes. You know. Supply and demand.

Scarabia - Thumb-print cookies with different jam fillings. They're colourful, you can buy a bunch at a time and share them, and the jam filling looks like edible jewels. I think Kalim would like these very much and I think he would want them to be the number one baked good in the store. They're not very difficult to make, so he even gets Jamil to teach him so he can help stock the store with more cookies. (I feel like Jamil would have to remind Kalim that people want more than just cookies from a bakery lol)

Pomefiore - Apple Pie. I know, I know...not very original or shocking. But, not just any apple pie. Mini apple pie shaped like a rose. Gorgeous and elegant, it tastes as delicious as it is beautiful. (If you can't picture it, please see in this link here) Of course, Epel's hometown supplies the apples. Rook is weeping at the beauty of the pies. Even Vil will have one, since it is small and not excessive.

Ignihyde - Specialty cookies. You know the ones; they're large cookies, a plain base, with gorgeous - sometimes even intricate - designs done in icing. I feel like the designs would change frequently, to fit the themes of the seasons, holidays, or ongoing releases of popular games/movies/etc. The designs are ART. Cater comes at least twice a week to buy a cookie and take pictures for Magicam. (At first he felt guilty because he didn't want to betray his bf, Trey, but then Trey said he wanted to try one, so they started going together on their dates.)

Diasomnia - Buns. Buns with...unique...fillings. Multiple unique fillings. Is it really so much a signature item as it is a game of roulette? With Lilia at the wheel, it's never a guarantee if the bun will even be edible...But somehow, that makes the other students even more eager to try it. It becomes kind of like Beanboozled. They make a game of it: who can chew the longest without swallowing or spitting it out, who got the best flavour, can you finish the entire bun or will you leave hungry? Lilia is having the Time of His Life and Silver is too afraid to go in the kitchen.

The following is evidence that “Aubrey” doesn’t daydream, immersively or maladaptively, but:

uses people: 

to daydream or create for her

to roleplay and/or bounce ideas off with

as sources to steal concepts from, sometimes this is under the guise of “inspiration”, other times it’s to “reclaim” from “problematic” creators, including fan content creators 

media sources to copy 

Disclaimer: while immersive and maladaptive daydreamers can have fictparacosms/fictparas ie daydream worlds and daydream characters based off and/or rooted in preexisting fictional media, it’s a common complaint that these are often so far removed from the actual source that they’re essentially original content that share the names and/or other likeliness of fictional characters/media. MaDDers often complain of not being able to get through a movie/show/game/book at all without daydreaming making it impossible. This is the complete opposite of what “Aubrey” does. She engages with the media in full, then places her characters into the plot, with little to no deviation from the original source plot.

There’s no denying that “Aubrey” uses escapism as a maladaptive avoidance coping mechanism. She consumes a large amount of content near constantly. But she’s not a daydreamer.

While we’re not going to make this tab longer by including the entirety of the evidence of Amber faking MaDD, we will include bits from the Discord chat here as supplemental evidence. Her “MaDD” seems to come from 2 sources: roleplaying with someone/talking with someone/using another daydreamer, or just lifting ideas from others’ works, including movies, shows, games, fan fics, etc. The latter is not in alignment with the way fictparas work with immersive and maladaptive daydreaming.

This is a collaborative effort between two or more parties, NOT a solitary activity that immersive and daydreamers experience. 

Here she is blatantly using us to create content for her Social Media AU, as a further example:

Like with using roleplay/conversation/daydreamers and media, she’s outsourcing inspiration. She’s faking MaDD in the hopes of getting supply for her HPD and NPD. Most MaDDers don’t actually feel comfortable talking about their daydreams, not just because of the heightened sense of purity culture online, but because daydreams are incredibly personal and private. This is a solitary activity often done to cope with trauma and/or loneliness. Opening up about these personal and private worlds that most have had since the tender age of ten just feels incredibly invasive and vulnerable, even if there is a desire to connect with other daydreamers and discuss and create content for something you spend so much of your free time (for immersive daydreamers)/life (for maladaptive daydreamers) doing.

She’s approaching talking about her characters as though she’s some famous writer, and everyone is just dying to get more content from her. She’s doing all this for an invisible audience and trying to create content catered to her nonexistent fans. This is NOT how immersive or maladaptive daydreamers talk about their paras or paracosms. No one is asking their followers who they should talk about, but instead, tend to use the blog as a sort of daydream diary to document what’s going on in their daydreams. Some daydream bloggers do garner an audience (never a large audience, compared to fandom bloggers who can have microfandoms or subfandoms surrounding them), and people can and do send questions, edits and art to each other about their paras and paracosms, but it’s not approached or engaged with in the way that “Aubrey” is doing here. There’s no “daydream influencers”. Everyone has their own paras and paracosms, and daydreams about them in their own time. Some people are more open about how they talk about these paras and paracosms, some are vague, some do a “live blogging” style of blogging about their paras and paracosms. But due to the nature of immersive and maladaptive daydreaming, people really aren’t flocking to and engaging with other daydreamers’ blogs and content in the way you see with fandoms, because everyone in the community is also daydreaming, regardless if the post about it or not. Posts about the actual experience of immersive and maladaptive daydreaming get more notes than posts where someone is sharing info or content about their paras or paracosms.

This is a collaborative effort between two or more parties, NOT a solitary activity that immersive and daydreamers experience.

As mentioned with ‘fictparas’, while immersive and maladaptive daydreamers can have ‘fictparacosms’ ie paracosms, or daydream worlds, that take place in preexisting fictional media, the common experience with immersive and maladaptive daydreamers is that these preexisting fictparas and fictparacosms become so canon divergent and removed from the original source that they may as well be original fiction, with the characters sharing a name and/or likeliness with the original source media. Having a paracosm that’s exactly the same as the original source, including the plot, with just the characters changing, isn’t a paracosm, and it isn’t immersive or maladaptive daydreaming. She’s just lifting the entire plot of a movie and calling it a “paracosm”. By definition, a “paracosm” is a daydream world with lore and narrative attached to it. Immersive and maladaptive daydreaming is the act of creating this lore and narrative through dissociative absorption. She’s not creating this lore, and in her own words she says, “[s]o basically my characters in the same plot”. Not only is this not daydreaming, it’s borderline, if not outright, plagiarism.

While daydreamers, like anyone else, can find inspiration anywhere, the fact that Amber only creates paras after purchasing or being gifted an “adopt” lends to the idea that she’s faking, especially given the fact that she needs other people to help her create their personalities and backstories, she uses entire movie plots, and takes other people’s characters/paras. There isn’t a single quality of maladaptive daydreaming this woman has done yet.

Their parents started teaching them self-defense since they were little.¹ We don’t know many details of their childhood, but there was an interesting exchange between them—Jade once said “he made the right choice choosing Floyd as his partner,” and Floyd replied that “he’s glad Jade is the one that survived with him, too.”²

In Floyd’s Wish story, he brought up how their father told him to buy a nice pair of shoes when he went on land because “men who don’t pay attention to the small details get patronized” so your appearance is very important. Hearing this gave Idia and Ortho an uneasy feeling about Mr. Leech.

Kalim

Parents

Kalim’s father comes from a long line of merchants and is supposedly the greatest one in the family. But despite how busy he is, he’s always wearing a smile. Kalim’s mother is the only one in the family who can use magic. She’s described as very kind, is always praising Kalim, and almost never gets angry.¹

Kalim doesn’t know the exact number of siblings he has, but he can put names to faces for all of them, and he often plays hide and seek with them in their house. He doesn’t come from a royal family (they’re just extremely rich), but some of his distant relatives are actual royalty.² One of his distant cousins apparently owns a tiger.³ His family has about 100 servants along with specialists like a personal doctor⁴ and a beast tamer.

Najma (younger sister)

His family has served the Asims for generations. His parents knew Jamil was a very bright child, but they insisted that he must always let Kalim be better than him, and would reprimand him for talking too casually to his young master.¹ Jamil seems to share a typical sibling relationship with his sister Najma. They often bicker with each other, but they’re on good terms. Najma used to bake him cookies for his birthday² and they would also get into fights because she’d tell him his cooking looked too plain.³ Jamil gave his VDC plus-one ticket to her during Episode 5.

Najma made her first in-game appearance during the Aleab Naria event. Their father had sent her to deliver a message in-person to Jamil, since he isn’t versed in technology likes PCs and phones and didn’t trust that a text would suffice.⁴

Najma claims that she and Jamil look nothing alike, but they tend to make near-identical expressions. She was relieved to see that he has a few friends at NRC because he never talks about them whenever he comes home.⁴ In one scene, Jamil reminds her to wipe her hands before eating and gives her a wet wipe, and she huffs at him to not treat her like a child. Trey notes how well Jamil looks after her, but Cater thinks he is a little bit overprotective.

Vil’s father is an extremely famous actor and goes by the stage name Eric Venue. Even the Leeches’ father is a fan of some of his movies.¹ Vil has mentioned that his dad would come home dressed in special effects makeup & costumes every Halloween,² and also used to read him stories about the Beautiful Queen.³

Epel’s family lives on an apple farm that’s been around for generations. They all live in the same house. His village is also made up of farmers, and they often help each other out during the busy season and have big barbecues together. It feels like they’re one big family.¹

His relatives often send him apples from home since they have such an abundance of them. They seem to have some business struggles; Epel taught himself how to beautifully carve apples when he was young because many were blemished and wouldn’t otherwise sell.² He has also mentioned wanting to make a potion that strengthens weak apple trees to make his grandpa happy.³

Besides Epel, his grandma and great-grandma are the only ones in the family who can use magic.⁴ They ride brooms to pick apples that are too high to reach on foot. Epel wanted to help them when he was little so everyday he would get on a broom and try hopping up and down, and then one day it worked! Ever since then he’s helped with that task as well.

Idia & Ortho

The Shrouds are a noble family and famous for some reason, but Idia has said that being from a noble family isn’t all that great.¹ When he was worrying about being seen at the entrance ceremony, he expected people might gossip about how he’s from “the cursed Shroud family,” and that he’ll “spread misfortune to them.”² At another time, he mentioned that the audience would be apprehensive about what kind of “weird research” he did if he had to present his research on stage.³

Lilia, Malleus, Silver

Malleus’ grandmother

Lilia was one of the Queen of the Valley of Thorns’ most trusted soldiers when he used to fight for the royal family.¹ In Cater’s Lab Coat story, they created mandrakes that reflected parts of themselves, and Lilia’s was said to “carry the cry of a tragic hero.”

He has watched over Malleus “ever since he had an eggshell over his head.” An infant Malleus once singed Lilia’s bangs by breathing fire and Lilia was so proud that he raised a glass of tomato juice to him.²

Malleus is the heir to the Valley of Thorns, a descendant of the king “who rules over all creatures of the night,” and his only living relative is his grandmother, the current Queen of the Valley. He spent much of his childhood alone in the castle. He used this time to learn how to play all kinds of stringed instruments. His grandmother is so busy that she shouldn’t even have spare time to write him letters, but every year on his birthday, she sends him one without fail, along with rose seeds from the garden by their castle.³

Long after Malleus had grown up, both he and Lilia took in baby Silver for an unknown reason. Silver thought he was his biological dad when he was little, and continues to refer to him as “Father.” They lived deep in the forest in the Valley of Thorns before coming to NRC. Apparently Silver was very easy to take care of; he would fall right to sleep after eating Lilia’s homemade food.⁴

At one point, Sebek also became one of Lilia’s pupils. He and Silver are the only two from their generation living in the Valley.⁵ When they were little, Lilia would have them undergo training like soldiers, but then he realized he should raise them more like kids, and started making their training more fun. He had them play tag in forests crawling with beasts, hide and seek in vast deserts, and “the floor is lava” in the mountains of needles.⁶

Sebek’s mother is a nocturnal faerie and his father is a human who works as a dentist. They met when his mother had an appointment at his clinic. She was immediately charmed and courted him despite her surroundings being against her marrying a human. Now, she works at the clinic as his assistant.¹

Sebek greatly respects his mother and raves about how she’s extremely gifted with magic and has a strong sense of justice. His opinion of his dad, on the other hand, is much different—his dad seems very loving and often showers his children in praises, sweets, and gifts, but it drives Sebek crazy. He doesn’t understand how his mother saw any appeal in him.¹

Since his parents were often busy with their clinic, Sebek spent his childhood running off to visit his grandpa, or fishing and playing in the water with his siblings. Based on the fact that Sebek and Silver were said to be the only ones in their generation living in the Valley,² his siblings are most likely considerably older than him.

All we know about his grandpa is that Malleus also knew him, and mentioned that Sebek shares his hot-blooded temper.³

So, me and @gay-salt-amber have accidentally did a thing, more of they accidentally did a thing. . .

The thing being. . . A Genshin Impact Twisted Wonderland AU

Now, I'm not playing Genshin Impact just yet and I don't think it'll happen anytime soon BUT I am dipping into the fandom and planning on joining it, so when I finally do play I'll be ready and also enjoy it to a full. I've been listening to the soundtrack a lot and already have a favorite character so I'm more than ready

Not to mention since both games are now my new favorites on world building aspect, I decided to help create the AU's world building!

So this is the official map of Twisted Wonderland, which makes me lowkey highkey excited since that would imply we see more of their world, and I set up a way the world of Genshin Impact would crossover in a way and imply a possibility of rulers either ruling over certain islands/lands or connected with through history

The map bellow is the map (nonofficial) of Genshin Impact's world including the fully canon and shown Teyvat:

First off, the Coral Sea would obviously be connected to the Sea of Sumeru, being heavily connected to the islands on Inazuma. I can picture a lot of supplies the merfolks of the Coral Sea are gifted by the islands, which may or may not have sparked the love of culture the Leech Twins and Azul have. The supply delivery would take a while due to oceans but it'll work!

Second is that half of Teyvat would be taken cared of between the Sunset Savannah, Shaftlands, and the Briar Valley and it's rulers/public officials. This would help with both ends of marketing and the magical elements the lands have. Picture Epel's face when he gets a apple order from Narukami Island-

Malleus and other people from the Brair Valley most likely go travel about in Teyvat as well as the Al-Asim family and nobles from the Scalding Sands, Malleus love of gargoyles most likely came from a summer time there

More of less, this is the world building I have so far, what about story?

It'll all start with a task, a seemingly impossible task between students teachers of Night Raven Collage. What's the task, I dunno yet. But in order to solve this task the dorm leaders of NRC have decided to go visit Teyvet after a book Yuu read explains it may solve it, going with them will be Yuu and the vice dorm leaders, everyone trusting their trusted students to watch the dorms until their return (ie Cater, Jack, and Epel being new bosses etc.)

Upon arriving the traveling group do some sight seeing of a world trap in time with pure magic in the air, some cracking jokes how Cater will instantly die with no wifi connection since Idia is suffering but has his own wifi-port. Then they arrive to a nearby tavern in search of someone who could help them with this task, running into a traveling part as well of the Geshin Impact cast. Friends will instantly be made and help will be spread as the group led by two twins who searched up and down and around for each other prepare to succeed this task in hand.

This will be highly for fun and I'm still barely scratching the surface of Genshin Impact lore and stuff as well as I'm merely just creating the building blocks of this AU, the Genshin Impact cast will be highly up to you guys based on your own group/party but I highly desire Venti being in there since he's now my favorite and it all kind of started with him

while im at it with the daedra interpretations im gonna restate my sanguine Thoughts

i think sanguine is underwritten and what little we get is weirdly and somewhat badly interpreted

like he has the potential to be a really interesting and subtle kind of horrible, because most of what he represents arent bad things and are pretty good. his focus on pleasure and indulgence would make it go against his sphere to have worshippers do anything against their consent, and drinking + feasting + drugs + sex +whatever arent bad things in of themselves

but given that he is about indulgence and that he caters his realm to suit every indulgence his worshippers could want, its kind of a supply of unlimited enabling, and i think thats the other half of what hes about. everything done in his honor can be perfectly fine and good in moderation, but he will NEVER say “maybe youve had enough”. you throw up and he makes your stomach feel better so you can have more. he wont lift a finger to harm you, or trap you, but will give you everything you want until youve trapped yourself. 

you can come and go as you please, but you wont, because this is the only place you can be okay now. youve never said no to any of it but dependency is not that simple. and this doesnt happen to everyone or even most people who worship him, but its enough. (and i personally think he has an interest in ‘collecting’ people in this fashion but thats just headcanon)

and like theres some implication of this besides just . it being kind of obvious that dependence and self destruction are results of engagement with him. like hes definitely dangerous, ESO is like the only place that explicitly has him be really dangerous (tho i dont like how its executed ie a heavyhanded “he traps you in parties and you can physically  never leave!!!!” thing). and in the main series, given the only explicit daedra involvement martin had was with sanguine and its separately established that People Died in conjunction with his daedra endeavors, the likeliest assumption is that the dying was related to sanguine too. like theres little things but theyre kind of underdeveloped.

and i suppose it might be a good thing that the writing on him doesnt fully embrace this subtext bc it could sooooooooooo easily slide into rhetoric about how being an addict is bad and shameful or whatever lol and “well you COULD technically just stop”. but this sort of subtle indirect predation is its intrinsic to his sphere

Riddle 🌹 There’s No Drawback to Not Knowing

Ace and Cater discuss which phone cases are in style right now; Riddle doesn’t know anything about the latest trends but he’s fine with that because it makes no difference to him. When Ace tries to explain them, Riddle repeats that it’s not important and snaps at them to go somewhere else. Once they leave, he mutters to himself that he’ll look into them later.

They mention that a paper talking about new discoveries in the history of the Land of Hot Sands was published (which affected everyone’s history tests) 👀 I wonder if that involved Jafar at all

Riddle doesn’t check the results of his exams because he knows he always gets 100%

Cater’s phone case is considered trendy right now lmaoo

Ace mentions wanting a phone case design featuring creatures with “fuzzy heads and legs growing out of their eyes” (the momeraths??)

Ace ♥ Such an Honest Freshman

Ace helps Trey carry back groceries from the store, under the guise of wanting a piece of pie with lots of cherries on it in return. Trey suspects that he wants more than just some cherry pie—Ace ends up spilling that he wanted Trey to tell him which topics would be covered on their history tests.

Ace’s brother is 7 years older than him, and used to take him lots of places together 🥺

Trey usually reads or does homework to pass time at the dorm; he didn’t slack off even as a freshman because he knew Riddle would be coming the year after and he didn’t want Riddle to be angry with his grades 😂

Trey used to make sweets for his little siblings when they pestered him for them!! And he’s been helping around his family’s bakery since he was little

Deuce ♠ One With the Wind

Ace can’t decide which club he wants to join since they all sound tempting. Deuce mentions he joined track and field because there was no Magical Wheel club, which gets him started on a tangent about how much he loves those motorcycles and how he can’t believe Ace has never even touched one.

Deuce tried to open a Magical Wheel Lovers Club but Crowley rejected it

When he was little, Deuce used to get Magical Wheel magazines and admire all the models 😂😂

Magical Wheels are fueled by the drivers’ magic power 👀

Deuce loves the high-speed feeling of “becoming one with the wind” (ie. going really fast on a motorcycle, also sprinting and things for track and field)

Cater ♦ The Portrait of Rosalia

Cater tries to get Kalim and Leona to join a party to keep the lonely portrait Rosalia company. The truth is, he just wanted to put Rosalia in a good mood so she’d share what would be on the next history test with him.

Rosalia hangs in the west school building (the rose in the west wing??), near the staff room and has been there for years; she knows stories about magift tournaments from the past.

Cater implies he knows some secrets about Kalim 🤔

Mentions that Leona comes from a ‘ladies first’ culture

Trey ♣ Open Your Mouth

The Queen has a rule saying that if you eat turkey for dinner, you must brush your teeth two times that night. Ace tries to get away with only brushing once, but Trey catches him and asks both him and Deuce to let him smell their breath to make sure they both brushed at least once already; then he apologizes because he used to do that with his little siblings and it became a habit. He proceeds to give them detailed advice about brushing their teeth.

I didn’t like this one lmao it felt kind of pointless

But anyway Trey knows weirdly thorough tooth-brushing techniques, a lot about teeth in general, and has multiple brushes for focusing on different parts of his mouth 🦷

Leona 🦁 I Grew Up Spoiled

Vil needs Leona to take some pictures with him for the school newspaper. Although reluctant at first, he eventually agrees because Vil won’t stop annoying him about it. Before they go to the shoot, Vil notices one of the buttons on Leona’s vest is coming off and offers him his sewing supplies to fix it. But Leona says if he wants it fixed he should just do it himself (also Leona grew up spoiled and doesn’t know how to sew). Vil gets really salty with his attitude and says he’ll only do it because he needs “his props” to look pristine.

They’re both super catty with each other 😂

At one point Vil said the button wasn’t the right one and asked for a different one; Leona handed him a new one and said “Oh btw this is a magic button, it always comes back even if it comes off.” Vil was like “????” and Leona explained sometimes he’ll leave his clothes that lost a button in his room, and he’ll find it later with this button sewed back on again

Vil said it’s probably Ruggie who quietly sews them back on for him 😭😭 but smh Leona just replied “Oh well same deal, it always comes back”

Jack 🐺 I’ll Expose Your Crimes!

Jack smells something weird in the cafeteria and decides to go investigate. The smell first leads him to the Leech twins; he wrestles Floyd for this suspicious briefcase that they have (turns out there was just a beauty serum inside that they were bringing to a customer). Then Jack realizes the smell was actually coming from Epel; he forcibly pulls a container out from Epel’s jacket pocket and finds... several types of onion product in there (Jack hates onions). Epel reveals he’s been hiding the onions because Vil is forcing him to eat really bland food and the onions help give them flavor.

Jack suspected the smell was a chemical leak in the school and his first thought was “I won’t be able to get in today’s workout!!” sir,,,,,

His sense of smell gets immensely better in his wolf form

After they sorted everything out, Epel invited Jack to sit with him for lunch 🥺

Ruggie 🐆 In Grandma’s Hands

Ruggie comes down to the cafeteria in the middle of the night because Leona wanted a midnight snack. He finds a bunch of vegetables in the kitchen and decides to make some soup with them. Jade appears and informs him that those actually belong to him; to avoid having to owe him any debts, Ruggie offers to teach Jade some ways to cook them, since the reason Jade had left them there in the first place was so that he could ask the ghost chefs for recipe suggestions in the morning.

The awkward laugh they shared when Ruggie realized the vegetables were Jade’s tho 😂😂 I wish the side stories were voiced omg

The one who taught Ruggie all of those recipes was his grandma

Also Ruggie sings while he cooks 👁👁💖

Azul 🐙 Just One Die

Idia brings a game called The Magical Game of Life to one of the board game club meetings; Azul gets very passionate about it despite at first turning his nose up at games that only rely on luck. Eventually he starts practicing how to perfectly throw a die to land on the number he wants so he can cheat the luck factor.

Azul.... honest to god he never slacks off 😭

Jade 🐬 A Mindset I Can’t Understand

Jade is making teas in the middle of the courtyard when Kalim stops by to see what’s going on. Kalim ends up talking about teas from his home, and Jade asks if he could show him how to brew the special tea they have for guests. It’s supposed to be super sweet so Kalim insists on dumping as much sugar as possible into the cup, but Jade really hates sugar.

Kalim got so disgusted when Jade was talking about his raw meat diet in the sea 😂😂

But also Kalim 🙏 He tries so hard to help everyone but he always happens to miss the mark

Floyd 🦈 Talk with Me About Something Fun

Floyd gets bored working on a report so he decides to go bug Riddle, insisting that they do their homework together. He helps Riddle find a book he needs but won’t quit playing around with him over it. In his anger, Riddle brings up how differently Jade is compared to him, and Floyd immediately gets bored and leaves.

The book Riddle needed was called “The History of Magic Carpet Weaving”

Kalim 🦂 Let’s Get Along!

Kalim is shopping at Mr. S’s Mystery Shop for the Scarabia 1st years welcome party. Riddle asks him why he’s the one running errands and not Jamil (the reason was that Jamil was stressed with how Kalim was handling the decorations for the party so sent him away basically 😂). Kalim ends up inviting Riddle to the party; he only agrees after he hears there will be a magic carpet there.

Kalim is so rich it hurts 💀 Riddle called him out for yawning during dorm leader meetings and he said “If I yawned at Scarabia, Jamil would just get my bed ready for me!”

When he was talking about the magic carpet Kalim said “Let’s go to the end of the world together” (Was that the name of the wintry tundra in Aladdin??)

This is the one where Kalim talks about how he only eats Jamil’s food because he used to get poisoned as a child; his dad & Jamil had told him “This is the fate of the oldest son of the Asim family”

Jamil 🐍 I Mean It

At lunch, Kalim and Ruggie go get food for themselves plus Jamil and Leona; while they’re waiting, Leona implies that Jamil might try to hurt Kalim someday, much to Jamil’s offense. Later Ruggie and Jamil mull over having to work with their respective ‘masters.’

Leona’s intelligence is often downplayed bc of how lazy he is but he really is good at figuring things out 👁 This was shown in Cater’s story too.

Ruggie and Jamil having that little squabble about how they think each other’s masters (for lack of a better word) would be more difficult to deal with was kind of cute 😂
