Veg meat gives them a way to enjoy familiar tastes and textures without going against the way they choose to eat.
How to Choose and Buy Veg Meat in Delhi
There are a few things you need to think about when buy veg meat in Delhi. First, look at the list of ingredients to make sure it fits with your diet and any possible allergens. Look for goods that haven’t been changed much and have ingredients you can recognize. When possible, it’s also a good idea to choose organic and non-GMO foods. You can find the best-tasting and best-quality veg meat by trying out different brands and reading customer reviews.

Eh eh eh catchy song goes brrrrrr
Agamemnon the petty bitch and Menelaus the people pleaser (and with people I mean his brother, what a great wingman)
this song gives me the vibes of those stereotypical scenes where the mobsters are all in a room full of smoke where they play poker, so the cigar on Agamemnon is a must
I clearly do not have preferences
Side note I'll probably make more sketches about Paris in court, because it's such a funny song, Achilles and Patroclus are just mean girls gossiping and I dig their vibe
Odysseus is the caretaker of the group, he is too high and mighty to lower himself to the level of the others,go on king 🙌

Pretty Woman
Rosie x GN!Reader
TW: Cannibalism!
A/N: I love Rosie..she’s a goddess that I will gladly serve. I’m a simp for dangerous women. Did I get inspiration from listening to “Oh, Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison. Yes I did. ALSO MY FIRST TIME WRITING FOR HER-
-🫀When you met Rosie for the first time was when you had accompanied Alastor to Cannibal Town. You never believed in love at first sight but ooooh boy oh boy- her smile got your face changing color.
-🫀 Don’t think Rosie and Alastor didn’t notice cause they did, Alastor is just going to use it against you later (bastard) and Rosie thinks you're just shy. Cause I feel like she may be very attentive to others peoples feelings just not her own.
-🫀You don’t look at her in the eyes much and you wished the world can swallow you whole cause this woman? Is so pretty.
-🫀 Rosie thinks you are the sweetest and cutest thing this side of hell, she’d be tempted to eat you all up if you gave her the chance. But she won’t especially when you're so shy that you couldn’t even look at her!
-🫀 She can see why Alastor adores you so! Such a cute little thing you are!
-🫀 It’s I’d say about a year of knowing her and just still being as much as a simp as you began with to the point where Alastor was getting annoyed, he trusts you with her heart. (They are besties your honor)
-🫀 You could’ve asked Alastor how to court her but it’s Alastor and he’s gonna either give you a look or just laugh cause you should know how to court a lady such as Rosie. You don’t, so you go to your good friend Google (Hell has Google I’m too tired to come up with a catchy hellish name for Google)
-🫀 It takes you hours cause you kept getting sidetracked of hiding your phone from Alastor. You said fuck it officially and went to go buy her flowers!
-🫀 She loved the flowers and now a week or two goes by and you return with more flowers! She has to be the one to speak up cause you haven’t said anything and just keep giving her flowers.
-🫀SO FASTFORWARDING TO YALL DATIN’
-🫀 Oh this woman loves and adores you outright, she’ll talk about you all day if she could!
-🫀 If you eat flesh then she’ll happily treat you to some lady fingers! But if not? Don’t worry your pretty little head, she knows many dishes she can make that don’t require demon flesh!
-🫀 Oh boy in private? A big cuddler. Also will stain your face in her lipstick from just kissing your cute face. She’s not apologizing but she will help you get it off if you want!
-🫀 Get ready to deal with Susan a lot. Especially if Rosie is at an Overlord meeting or if Susan catches you both walking around Cannibal Town.
-🫀Dates consist of walking around or out on the town! She loves spoiling you! Bring her dancing please, she’ll definitely take the lead but you’d be having fun!
-🫀 She strikes me as a biter like Alastor but not as much. Like she’ll bite your arm to taste your blood if you let her, but she won’t do it randomly. It also only happens in private and in the bedroom. It’s how she puts her claim on you besides the lipstick stains.
ALL IN ALL I LOVE ROSIE!! LET ME SMOOCH THE TALL CANNIBAL LADY DAMN IT!!

buy me coffee ?
so long i've been here, so long are the stories i've written. of what i gathered and lost, loneliness becomes me and pain refuse to depart from me. i've embraced that which ate me away so when you came along, i had no part of me left to give.
It was the moon.
Of all the things that happened, Jongho remembered the moon very clearly that night; shining oh so brightly, acting like a spotlight as if putting the scene that had just happen like it was on a stage, a mocking display of the events that had just transpired.
The image of the woman he had once courted dying in his arms was fresh as if it had just happened the day before. The sight of her eyes fluttering close while the cold night wind caressed his face, mockingly wiping his tears as he mourned the woman who lay lifeless in his arms. As he wailed, there was a clench in his chest. At first, Jongho had thought that it was merely his heart breaking for his lost love but soon he struggled to breathe and before he knew it, chaos ensued with him in the center but even amongst that, he could see the face that would be the catalyst of his entire world changing.
As abruptly as the dream came, Jongho was pulled back to reality where he jolted up as if he had just splashed by ice cold water but in fact, it was just him in his room. Though he was sitting on his bed, it felt like his chest was being crushed by a slab of concrete weighing a ton. It was hard to calm down when it felt like he was being choked or suffocated. The worst part is, it wasn't just due to the lack of oxygen. It was also the fact that the nightmare always seemed to follow him even after decades had passed and it was always fresh in his mind. And it's not just the fact that it was a nightmare, it was also a memory of something that really happened to him, probably the worst thing that had ever happened to him, replaying in his mind like a brain-investing toothpaste commercial with a catchy jingle.
The cherry on top was the fact that Jongho had to live a torturous life, being given a task that is near-impossible to complete by a self-righteous man who was doing harm but refused to believe the fact so he punished Jongho for doing his job. Being a police was always Jongho's dream so being punished for that was a rather big slap to Jongho's face but at least he wasn't turned into a vampire. What a cliche would that be.
In the midst of Jongho trying to calm down (or at least regain the remaining semblance of his sanity), the sound of his phone notification ringing pierced through the silence and almost made Jongho jump in surprise.
Jongho turned his head to his nightstand to see the clock showing 2:09 which immediately made him scoff. "I swear, if it's one of the guys..." he grumbled but he still reached for his phone. Once the screen turned on, it showed that there was a new notification from you, reminding him of the things that he had specifically request to highlight so he could work on them effectively the next day.
'Couldn't you have reminded me this in the morning? Are you aware of the time???'
He texted back and almost immediately, he saw three dots popping up, showing that you were in the middle of texting him back.
'Well I thought you would be asleep :p'
'And why are you not asleep?'
'Don't you have a bedtime?'
Seeing your reply made Jongho roll his eyes annoyedly.
'I don't have a bedtime. I do have a timely guideline as to when I should rest.'
But of course, you had an answer for him.
'Yeah, that's the same thing, gramps :pppp'
Sighing, Jongho willed himself to shut down the conversation.
'Go to sleep (y/n), I need all the strength I can muster to handle whatever it is that may come tomorrow.'
Your reply almost made a smirk crack on Jongho's face.
'Oh please, you're acting as if I won't be there helping you tomorrow.'
'As much as you don't like my presence, you need my assistance and you can't deny that your life has been easier since I helped you.'
'So boo hoo.'
Exasperated, Jongho simply told you to sleep once again before he turned his screen off and annoyedly put his phone back on the nightstand with its screen facing down so that should you text him again, he wouldn't see it.
Although Jongho had already been aware and alert and was in the middle of calming down, your text reminded him of not only his responsibilities both professional and personal but also of the fact that times have changed so much was just annoying. Even as he was falling back asleep, he kept thinking about chastising you the next day so that you wouldn't text him in the middle of the night like that. Who knows? Maybe this time you would listen to him without hurtling a jab about how he was ancient and that he befriends creatures that should be classified as relics. For whatever reason there may be, Jongho still employed you even if he found your jabs and jokes petulant and not funny (Wooyoung and San thought otherwise but their vote for your jabs did not inspire confidence in Jongho). So that night Jongho fell asleep annoyed of the events that transpired but also the events that will transpire, completely missing the feeling of relief of your presence even if it was just momentarily.

RIGHT WHERE YOU LEFT ME
Azriel x Reader - Fluff - One Shot
While getting over a breakup, a performer in a Velaris tavern catches the attention of a certain Shadowsinger.
Warnings: Alcohol, Implied hook-up
The notes flowed effortlessly through my fingers onto the ivory keys of the tavern’s antique piano. I’d played the song more times than I cared to admit over the past several months yet the angst of it had yet to be lost on me.
Tonight was particularly lively as the High Lord and Lady’s inner circle made their way into the tavern. One of the nicer pleasure halls in Velaris yet not as alluring as Rita’s, which was closed this week as they install an updated dance floor and modernize the bar’s serving area.
Once word spread of the prestigious guests, a plethora of onlookers flowed in the front doors. It had been a while since the bouncer actually had a line to attend to.
Attendees made requests, many tunes of a more risqué variety in hopes of a sultry dance against THE Morrigan. Who could blame them? She was lovely. Not in a soft and gentle way - but in a powerful, warm, seductive sort of way. Those that didn’t want to be with her, wanted to be her. Males and females alike tried and failed to get close enough for a dance but she stayed close to the remainder of the inner circle on the dance floor, so lost in the music that she hadn’t even noticed the desire flowing around her.
The Shadowsinger had also come out tonight. Though he evaded the dance floor, guarding their corner table diligently. An emotionless, bordering cold stare plastered on his face as he monitored the place. Ever the watchful friend, ensuring nobody stepped out of line. Many patrons gazed from afar, whispering words of encouragement as to who could work up the nerve to approach. The more brazen guests going as far as to take a few steps closer before being put off by his intimidating presence without him even making eye contact with them.
After a recent break up - recent putting it lightly - it had been months but who was counting? I’d taken to spending my weekends in this tavern. One evening, after far too many shots of liquid courage, I began playing on the piano while singing raunchy limericks and catchy tunes I’d picked up over the years during my travels through Prythian. Despite his odious reputation, some of my favorite limericks came from the High Lord of the Spring Court whom I’d never met personally. The poems coming in slurs from drunken participants of the Great Rite many years ago, the Calanmai where I met my former lover.
We’d connected instantly - literally and figuratively - and spent several wonderful years together. Until, damn the cauldron, he found his mate earlier this year. What are years together in the face of fate? Fate having a wicked sense of humor. How lucky for me that his mate dwelled in the city that I had introduced him to, MY city. They’d come into this very tavern shortly after the breakup, kindly leaving just as abruptly they came in. A futile effort of sparing me the heartache. Truthfully, he wasn’t a cruel male. He didn’t know I played here - and I didn’t hate him. But I resented it. All of it.
Which lead me to the song I was currently belting out at this piano. The song I’d written immediately after arriving back to my apartment that night, whiskey in one hand, fountain pen in the other.
“…And you're sitting in front of me at the restaurant, when I was still the one you want
Cross-legged in the dim light, everything was just right.
I, I could feel the mascara run. You told me that you met someone, glass shattered on the white cloth
Everybody moved on
Help, I'm still at the restaurant, still sitting in a corner I haunt, cross-legged in the dim light
They say, What a sad sight"
Despite the angsty, brooding lyrics, the tone was catchy and very easy to move along to. The more frequent patrons of the establishment had come to know this as a staple in my evening set, belting out the lyrics right along with me.
The song was my closing for the evening as I packed up, ready to head out. One of the attendees brought a glass of my favorite whiskey to me, nodding to the beautiful brooding male at the Inner Circle’s table.
Interesting.
I nodded a thank you with a brief raise of my glass to the Spymaster, as a little shadow swirled around my wrist with a gentle tug in his direction.
Who was I to turn him down? Aside from a steaming bath and smutty novel, I had nothing waiting for me to return home.
I casually strode to his table, giving a little smirk before sitting in front of him. Licking my lip before raising the glass to my mouth, lifting an eyebrow as I locked eyes with him.
“I didn’t realize Spymaster involved sussing out a lady’s drink of choice.”
A cool, bemused expression settled on his face as he took a sip from his own glass. “While my skill set is quite impressive, I asked the attendant for the bartender to send you a glass of your favorite.”
“I see. Well, thank you.” I replied, giving him time to continue the conversation or bid a farewell.
“You wrote that song.” He stated, not a question. Spymaster indeed.
For emphasis, I threw back a large swig of my liquor. “I did. Did you like it?”
He met my gaze with a contemplative glean in those hazel eyes, “Yes, no. Yes, the song was good. No, I did not like the truth behind the words. It felt too… relatable.”
I ran my fingers back through my hair letting it loosely fall back into place, and sighed. “Looks like we’ll both need another drink then.” Turning to the nearby attendee and signaling two fingers.
Two drinks turned to three, and four, by the end of the night we had laughed, one-upped eachother on who was unluckiest in love, and I was practically in his lap as we boisterously toasted a cheeky “Damn, the cauldron!” to which a nearby couple audibly gasped. We both muttered quick “apologies” turning away as we muffled our laughter into each others shoulders. He graciously sent the pair a shot with our next round of drinks.
The place started clearing out as the lights brightened and the keep yelled out a last call. Both of us hesitant to call it a night as we stepped into the brisk cold. “Walk me home, Shadowsinger?”
“Azriel. Call me Azriel.” He smiled. “I actually have something better in mind. Join me for a night cap?” He extended a hand.
Holding my hand out to squeeze his reassuringly, I replied, “Y/N. I’d be delighted.”
He eagerly swept me into his arms and darted into the sky, aiming for the House of Wind. The city lights quickly fading into twinkling stars.
Our pulses fluttered with anticipation as I nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck. When I pulled back to meet his eyes, he gave me a mischevious grin and briskly swooped down then back up. I flicked his nose to which he laughed, tilting his head downward to plant a kiss on my forehead.
I finally left the restaurant
And my dress on his bedroom floor.

Blooms and Blossoms
Summary - The building was perfect, bones ready for a new owner and beginning. Now Elain just had to convince Rhysand to let her have it.
Warnings - None, unless you want to count female independency
A/N - Happy @elainarcheronweek day 6! I think Elain is all of us flower girls who secretly wish we could be running a floral shop *dreamy sigh*. I just know her shop would be gorgeous.
🌸Elain Week Masterlist🌸Master Masterlist🌸
Velaris was never a sleepy town. Elain had realized that very quickly into her newest adventure as she had begun to call being made fae. The streets were always full of light and life. Footsteps and music following every twist and turn on the streets.
She noticed flowers everywhere. Every shop window, planters paid for by Feyre and Rhysand, large gardens, but there were no floral shops. No places for males and females to treat themselves to the beauty only petals could bring. She had been hunting for days to change that, and as she dragged a very confused Rhysand with her, she had a solution.
Elain stopped in front of an empty shop. No sign to detail what had once been, dust gathering on the windows, “Here.” The shop was located in the Rainbow. Near Feyre, yet far enough away the sisters would not be close enough to annoy each other.
“Here what?”
She rolled her eyes at her brother in law before dragging him inside the building. “Look at how perfect the bones of this place are.” Walls that needed fresh paint, floors in need of a good clean and stain. Counters he'd want to replace as soon as he saw her vision. “I want the till here,” she motioned to the empty counter space where she envisioned something ornate and gold to hold coins. “Coolings here?”
Rhysand was slowly catching on, a soft smile playing on his lips. “More windows,” he turned her to the main wall facing the street, for your floral displays and season decor. You will be required to change it for Starfall and Solstice.”
Elain nodded excitedly, “Maybe a new door? With a bell? You know that is one of my favorite sounds.”
“I'm picturing light blush walls,” he began. “To bring out the color in the petals. Neutral countertops, perhaps a white marble?” He began to walk around the large building. “Darker Stained floors.”
“Darker. Definitely a deep rich color,” she agreed before moving with him. It was working. Her goal was slowly coming into fruition. “Blooms and Blossoms,” she said the cheesy name, biting her inner lip and waiting for him to reject it.
Rhysand only glanced back at her, “Very catchy. Nothing around here or in the shopping quarters has a similar name, My dear.” He watched her lip trembled, watching as the happiest of tears began to pool. “An interesting fact. Feyre and I own this building. The former owner could not find a buyer before her marriage to a Day Court noble came. Feyre bought it from her out of kindness.” He motioned for her to follow, knowing she probably had not seen the back.
Her hand found his as they walked through the dark, trusting her brother to get her to whatever he was showing her safely. He opened the door to the back of the shop.
A greenhouse. The shop already had a beautiful greenhouse, archway massive and ready in place. “The artist who owned this building specialized in making paints and art supplies from flowers, berries, and foliage. She grew it all to capitalize on profit.”
Elain walked around the huge greenhouse, now bare bones, but ready and aching to grow life again. “Rhys, please.”
He nodded before motioning for her to come back to him. “It is yours. Work will begin tomorrow.”
Board by board, day in and day out, Elain watched as her dreams were built. Seeds and bulbs planted, suppliers contacted. Each moment was reality growing near. Dusty aged wood was made new again, a deep mahogany stain freshly laid with a satin finish. Walls primed and changed to a soft blush pink. The old worn countertops were removed and replaced with a white and gray marble. A gold register with flowers and fauna carved into it is placed. Every change had Elain in Rhysand's office, the most alive he had ever seen her.
She was electric like this. Her joy became contagious as the Inner Circle learned of her shop, and as opening day approached rumors were spreading through Velaris.
Elain had started spending more and more time at the shop, preparing bouquets of roses, wild flowers mixes, daisies, whatever she could in pretty glass and clay vases. She hummed to herself as she worked on her current project, 24 long stem red roses mixed with fresh baby's breath and soft feather-like foliage. She had not noticed Rhysand enter from the back shop door. She had not noticed his smile as he watched her. She only noticed when he came to the register, placing gold in the till before kissing her cheek.
“I'd like that one,” he hugged her. “It exactly what I was wanting.”
“Take your money back, you aren’t-”
He shook his head, picking a clear glass vase with an iridescent glazing, “I am your first customer, little sister.”
Those words made her heart ache, from joy, from gratitude, from the love pouring from her very chest. “Rhysand-”
“I am so proud of you,” he stopped her sentence, knowing she was going to argue. “So very proud. You've come to life, Elain.” He pulled her to him, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. “Have you gotten to see the sign we had done?”
She shook her head, letting him pull her to the beautiful new stained glass door and wall of curtained off windows before pulling her outside.
“Blooms and Blossoms” was painted in a soft scroll on the largest window. It would be surrounded by her hanging pots and the flowers she had potted that could withstand the brightness of the window. Feyre had planned and centered it perfectly. Each season, it would shine, obvious to all who passed that this was the floral shop she hoped people would come to be regulars at.
“I saw all the beautiful exotics and staple plants you enchanted and are growing,” Rhysand wrapped an arm around Elain's shoulder. “Your suppliers are also doing wonderfully so far. The trade it's created has helped with a few other niche things we have here.” Rhysand's voice was soft as the two of them stared at the shop window.
“Thank you,” she finally gave him her gratitude after moments of just taking this in. “For funding this, for believing in me and my dreams.”
“That's what Velaris is for,” he whispered into her hair, “Dreamers.”
The next day was loud. It was crazy. Elain had not sat since the opening day party began. She had been blind to Rhysand and Feyre's influence before, but the fae of Velaris rushed to the shop she owned, purchasing single stems, mixed bundles, and house plants. Her smile stayed wide and ready all day, constantly holding in tears of joy as she did.
She was a business owner.
Her passion now a livelihood.
Cassian locked the door as the shopping day came to a close, and the last customer left. Elain slowly closed the curtains as her sisters and the Inner Circle stood in the flower shop. “That was insane,” Mor huffed as she fell to one of the client chairs Elain would use for custom orders. “How much did she make, Rhysie?”
The High Lord was deep into counting for Elain, shaking his head with a smirk, “More than enough to buy us all a round or two at Rita's.”
Elain squealed before bouncing slightly, “I have money to pay?!”
Everyone stared towards her before Feyre spoke, “You won't be paying, but yes?”
Elain screamed with joy, the fulfillment of having her own income almost too much for her. “I have my own money!”
They all glanced at each other as the middle sister began to skip and clean, singing softly to herself about being independent and having money.
“It seems this was about more than flowers,” Azriel muttered to Nesta.
The eldest sister just smiled at him, “It was about passion,” she said slowly. “And about gaining independence through doing something by her own choice.”
Azriel hummed, “Then it would seem she should be allowed to make whatever choices make her happy if this is the result.”
Nesta nodded in agreement as Elain skipped to Lucien, showing him the till, “It would seem she should.”

GENDER: Gender Neutral Reader
WARNINGS: Platonic Yandere and Metions of Men WITH Serpent tails.
CHARACTERS: Bakugo Katsuki and Kirishima Eijirou
WORD COUNT: 400
A/N- I apologize to the requester, for some damn reason it wouldn't allow me to add the story with your request. But, here you go if you see it! Also if anyone wants headcannons with this scenario or any other, add a comment! I love me some Platonic Yandere Naga! Kiribaku. Anyways enjoy!
TRANSLATION:
“Hire, kluse yivra!” - "Here, please take!"
“Sepa mate?”.- "Be Mate?"
Your heart palpitated wildly, feeling the ebullient tingle from your toes up to your spine as you glided around with a bouncy dance—a cacophony of traditional phaṇin music stimulating your ears.
Kirishima who lip-sync with the catchy and spirited music, and Bakugo who watched you with a adoring smile had lightened up enough for you to attend the yearly phaṇin festival. And to them it was worth being able to witness that toothy grin and your clumsy dance. You deserved a reward, you have behaved and embraced them as your fathers the past years. Naught a cry, wail, or insult derived from you. You maturing, becoming more independent as you nearly reached the big eighteen, had them dewy-eyed. Concerned that you'll depart from them, that one of these damned oafs would snaffle you, but they wouldn't allow it. Never, you're perpetually their baby.
Gradually your dance ceased, breathing heavily as you eyed the crowd for Bakugo and Kirishima but your attention drew you from your search to the tap on your shoulder.
“Hire, kluse yivra!” The man blushed, proffering fresh meat from a deer.
Your brow scrunches with an awkward smile, you hesitantly grab the meat from him and you thank him. “Oh, thanks?”
“Sepa mate?” He beamed, eagerly. His iridescent tail envelopes you, coiling around your waist up to your shoulders, and he nuzzles his chin against you with a hush hum almost like purr.
You stiffened, nervous, and tried to lean away from him. You were secluded from the other nagas altogether, oblivious of their courting rituals and language. But Kirishima and Bakugo were very aware of what was occurring, their baby was vulnerable and needed them to protect you from this aberrant and pervy naga. Bakugo's chest rumbles furiously before he slither hastily towards the both of you, Kirishima not far behind. Bakugo raises his claws above his head and slashes the man's tail, cursing him in hisses and screeches. He yanks you from the tail's grasp and forces you into Kirishima, kiri's ruby eyes roaming your form along with his hands for bruises or injuries.
With a final hiss from Kirishima and Bakugo, you were carried away. You peered back, seeing the man's slitted-indigo eyes glistening with angry tears.

Dark Wire by Joseph Cox (photo from here, description from the publisher's site).
The inside story of the largest law-enforcement sting operation ever, in which the FBI made its own tech start-up to wiretap the world, shows how cunning both the authorities and drug traffickers have become, with privacy implications for everyone. In 2018, a powerful app for secure communications called Anom took root among organized criminals. They believed Anom allowed them to conduct business in the shadows. Except for one thing: it was secretly run by the FBI. Backdoor access to Anom and a series of related investigations granted American, Australian, and European authorities a front-row seat to the underworld. Tens of thousands of criminals worldwide appeared in full view of the same agents they were trying to evade. International smugglers. Money launderers. Hitmen. A sprawling global economy as efficient and interconnected as the legal one. Officers watched drug shipments and murder plots unfold, making arrests without blowing their cover. But, as the FBI started to lose control of Anom, did the agency go too far? A painstakingly investigated exposé, Dark Wire reveals the true scale and stakes of this unprecedented operation through the agents and crooks who were there. This fly-on-the-wall thriller is a caper for our modern world, where no one can be sure who is listening in.
i really liked this one! cox did a really good job of slowly unfurling the extremely technical details as they became relevant, instead of one horrible infodump near the beginning, and has a real gift for humanizing little anecdotes that illustrate the concept. he's also dryly funny in a very british way, eg the transition between one paragraph describing a very talented olive oil salesman and his lifestyle to how that olive oil processing covered up drug labs with the sentence "But Catanzariti didn't stay with olives; he pivoted instead to methamphetamine." i loooooove reading about how the drug trade gets around customs. i love edge cases and figuring out why things fail. i truly think some of the finest materials engineers of our time are out there trying to figure out how to get cocaine into australia.
this is deeply reported in a way that's very different from a lot of popsci and pop-history books that annoy me: this is NOT a book where it feels like the author is simply padding out a wikipedia page, supplemented with articles he's already written. he's been on this beat since 2016 and it shows: he has quotes from hundreds of people on many sides of the drug war. something i also appreciate is that cox is not automatically, rabidly pro-cop; he does not gloss over the very real tortures and kidnappings and all the other nasty realities of the global drug trade, and frequently shows how much overreach and entrapment took place during this whole endeavor. i particularly liked a chapter where he flipped back and forth from various law enforcement officials assuring him they of course complied with all relevant privacy laws and blacklisted anyone using it for simple secure communications, and lawyers telling cox "no the cops very much did spy on my privileged communication with my clients and i know this because these texts came up in court". also gratifying to read about some cases overturned or thrown out, in the odd case a judge decided it looked too much like entrapment.
i feel like i devoured this book SO fast but it's a solid 352 pages in hardcover. i also had to wait a good two months on the libby holds lists so there is strong interest in this book! good for cox!
how did i find this book: it's austin underscore walker's fault. they used to be coworkers at vice and cox and three others broke off last year to found 404 Media, which has had an absolutely crazy amount of real-world impact for the size (again! four people!) and how long they've been around. rip vice. wish u did better by your people.

powerwash simulator has a new free DLC out! we get to go to the aquarium and wash some exhibits and wash the research submarine!!! VERY soothing. took me a good solid two hour podcast episode to clean the exhibits.
the temporary summer event in genshin impact is very darling this year-- there are big indie game vibes and unlocking every chest is a little more complicated or has a little bit more story attached than usual. very excited to see if this continues with the next big update that introduces a whole new land.
i also like that they've picked An Art Style to work with-- everything is very toy-like or origami. not that genshin doesn't have a distinct art style, but playing around with something less realistic is fun!
