i’m always delighted when i realize the gw2 devs have done something playful with the stat combos on gear. right now i’m looking at the sinful weapons from SOTO for reasons, and you should’ve seen the big goofy grin on my face when i realized they gave the greed weapon (avarice’s command) celestial stats… because it wants a little bit of everything

also envy’s bite having vipers stats, despair’s lament and regret’s memory both having grieving, rage’s fist having berserkers…….. very cute 10/10

just saw someone call charles' career 'common successes' the pole to win ratio agenda is too severe because in no way is 26 poles without a championship winning car common at ALL

Finally catching up with my backlog of books and comics! Time to yap 💅🏻

First book of the year was Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher. I've heard so much about this book while basically knowing nothing. Honestly the best way to go into it. I adore these characters, their quirks, and their banter. Perfect balance of dry humor, dark tense moments, and fantastic not-too-flowery descriptions. I'm ready to read everything Kingfisher has ever written now.

The Autumn Kingdom #1-4 by Cullen Bunn & Christopher Mitten is a pretty straightforward but nicely told story. The art style really suited it. I hope it does return because I'm really curious to see if it's going to end the way I'm expecting.

Batgirl (2024) by Tate Brombal and Takeshi Miyazawa is FANTASTIC (I think I've liked everything Brombal has written). I'm obsessed. Cass shines from the first panel with her classic sass and ego. She is Good and she knows it. It's refreshing seeing the life that she built, the way she reads body language, how she views her family + life, basically having her be the main character and developed at last! The dynamic between her and Shiva is so interesting with all of their history and how she challenges Cass. I can't wait to see what Brombal writes next
