So while I was at work last week I learned that in Scotland if a black cat shows up at your doorstep it's considered a symbol of good luck. I couldn't help but have several scenarios in my head throughout the weekend.

Nobody knows how the cat came aboard the Victoria Punk, they've been out on the water for at least three days. Quincy thinks it snuck on board and has been hiding out until thirst or hunger brought him out, either that or it's a lucky spirit. Kid's doesn't believe in superstition, he makes his own luck.

Kid doesn't want it on board, they don't need a cat. But Dive and a few others have already become attached so he relents. But the second it starts causing problems or has kittens, it's off the ship.

House confirms that kittens are not going to be an issue. It's a tom (male cat). They name him Presley, it was either that or Lou.

Five days later, Kid's still not convinced that they need a cat on board. Until Killer finds several mice with half their skulls ripped off in a corner of the galley. The galley is kept so clean and tidy that the discovery of a rodent problem is baffling. "I guess we need the darn cat after all"

They quickly learn that when the cat gets the zoomies and profusely grooms himself it's not a good thing "Aww, you got the zoomies? That's so cute...oh shit, you have zoomies. Everyone get ready, a storm's coming in!"

His presence is a benefit for those in need of a serotonin boost or who just want a cuddle.

When the phantom pains make it hard for Kid to fall asleep, Presley will carefully lay over his arm and gently knead his paws into Kid's shoulder while purring the whole time. These actions help Kid relax just enough to help him catch a few wink of sleep, House will later comment that Presley was probably trying to help his captain feel better.

Kid won't admit it, but he's slowly growing fond of the little furball and the morale boost he brings to his crew.

This is the face of a fussy little criminal who chewed through my window screen. Side note, she is fine. She's back inside and she is safe.

(Update) the next morning the little criminal tried to bully my hundred something pound dog who plays with her son regularly. Dog didn't understand she wasn't playing and she was moved for her safety i don't want pupper upset. currently pupper is eating a potato and miss mama cat is napping in her favorite spot
