FLUFFCEMBER DAY#14: (Sephiroth x Reader)

Furry intruders

Blowing out a huge sigh, you opened the door to your place of living and trooped inside, ready to wash up and hit the sack. You knew that living with Sephiroth came with its fair share of strange surprises, and you tried hard to not get too startled by them when they happened, but you were not prepared for a big, fuzzy ball of glossy black floof to come padding out of a side room and into the kitchen, meowing as it went.

"What the hell?" You whispered, watching the feline slink into the kitchen, where a familiar, low voice greeted it. There was another meow, a hum, then the sound of clattering dishes. Sephiroth was in the kitchen, it seemed, and either he already knew the cat was inside, or he just found out and was very calm about it.

"Seph?" You began, hurrying to the kitchen. "Seph, do you know there's a c—"

"A cat in the house?" The man in question responded, cutting you off. He hurled around from his place before the kitchen sink, the purring intruder cradled in his arms. "Yes, I do, though I wish you'd tell me before you bring home strays."

"I didn't bring it home!" You exclaimed, shocked. "I thought you did!" You watched as Sephiroth's face went from "charmed yet surprised" to absolutely horrified.

"What?" Sephiroth slowly looked down at the cat, who meowed at him, then back at you, who shrugged, his eyes growing wider with each passing second. "Then where did—where did it come from?"

"I don't know!" You replied, as Sephiroth rushed past you and into the hall. "Did you see where it came in?"

"It was already in the house by the time I got home," You told him, hurrying alongside him with your hands in your pockets. "Did you leave the back door unlocked or something?"

"I haven't opened the back door at all today," Sephiroth answered. "Did you?"

"No," You said, peeking into the side room you saw the cat slink out of earlier. There was only one window in the room, but it was high up and wasn't the kind that could be opened, so there was no way for anyone to come in that way.

"Ah, here we are," Came Sephiroth's rather exhausted announcement from further down the hall, followed by a series of meows, all of varying pitches, indicating there was more than one cat.

"Found the source?" You called, jogging to his side, mildly surprised to find three cats loafing on the floor, two orange tabby cats and one Siamese, a waning orb of Materia lying on the floor near them. In the corner of the room was a smoldering hole that was convienently cat shaped.

"I did," Sephiroth replied, setting down the cat he was holding. "They must have used the Materia to break in.

"How, though?" You wondered aloud. "Since when could cats use magic?"

"Perhaps they were added by someone," Sephiroth suggested, watching the cats meow languidly from their comfortable places upon the floor. "Or these could be some particularly intelligent felines."

"I don't know about that," You chuckled, scratching your head. "Anyway, what're we gonna do with them? Take them to the pet shelter?"

"We could," Sephiroth replied, before eyeing you with mischief twinkling in his emerald eyes. "Or we could keep them."

"You're really willing to adopt 4 stray cats just like that?" You questioned unbelievingly.

"Only if you are," Sephiroth responded with a smile. "Are you?"

"Sure."

"Then they will need names."

"Hmm. Gonna have to think on that. For now we'll just call 'em Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 3, and Cat 4."

"Very well then."

Three weeks later, you two were enjoying life as cat parents to 4 children who have yet to be named.

Me, walking into our bedroom to find my rosary on the floor: "Um... hello, demon?"

Husband: "So, Elizabeth was playing with it. Does that make her a good Catholic girl because she's curious about a rosary, or a blasphemous Devil worshipper for throwing it onto the floor?"

Me: "......"

I just love the idea of our man being a cat dad

Warnings: The reader is referred to as momma in this and this is not proofed read so I apologies for an errors (Also most of the things Eddie does for the cat my dad does for mine 🤭)

You guys rescued a small black kitten one date night

You were heading to bed after watching a horror movie Eddie picked out when he stopped all movement. "Eddie? What's wr-" He cuts you off by shushing you. He listens closer. "Do you hear that?" He asked in a soft whisper before walking to the window. You start to listen, trying to hear what he is talking about. A faint, nearly pathetic meow echos through the room from the newly opened window. Eddie opens it even further before jumping out of it to try and find the source of the sound. "BABE!" You rush to the window to see him sitting on the ground searching. "What. The. Fuck Dude!!?! You could've gotten hurt!" He rolls his eyes at your worry. "Sweetheart, I have climbed and jumped out of many windows thanks to you, actually, I'll be just fine." He lays on his belly and that's when he finds it. "Holy shit" He whispers to himself. If the cat didn't have such bright eyes Eddie would've missed it all together. "Hi, little man" Eddie coos as he sits his hand on the ground, slowly itching it closer to the cat. The cat seemed to be drawn to Eddie and the rest is history.

Eddie spoils the shit out of the cat. Daily brushing is a must and so is at least three cans of wet food. Whenever you give the cat dry food they both whine. "Baaaaaabeee!! You know he likes wet food way more! Why are you trying to starve the baby!?!!"

Every holiday when there are new themed toys out Eddie will get as many as possible for his baby...even though everyone who has met that cat knows that they prefer a new cardboard shoe box or one of your guy's hair ties

Eddie is a Freddy freakout when it comes to this cat. Full momma bear mode for sure! The cat scratches his eye on accident!?!?! The cat had gotten outside on accident!??!! Eddie will just sob and nearly have a heart attack

Every time Eddie brushes the cat out he says the affirmations of the day. "You're such a handsome man, yes you are! Such a pretty boy." And he makes a point of showing the cat off to you after every session. "Let's go show your momma her handsome little man"

The best part of all of this!!!!!

Even though Eddie goes through all of this trouble. Spends so much money and time with the cat, hell he rescued the damn thing!.... You get the cuddles and kisses.

"What the fuck!?" Eddie exclaims every time he sees the cat in your lap or on your chest, "He never loves on me like that! 🥺I don't even get kisses just purrs" He whines

The best day of Eddie's life WAS the day he met you....but it's now the day the cat sits on his lap for the first time.

Astronomical Cuddles

This is Meteorite Star, Twilight and Star Tracker's son, and Diamond Crest, Rarity and Soarin's daughter. I believe I've posted about them as characters before but it's been awhile so I thought I'd introduce them again, and this time reveal their alliance with each other. So yeah, they get together in the future, big surprise or whatever.

You can see they have a big space theme going on, and are both cat crazy for their rescue felines. I imagine this is a midday nap, and they are both restless sleepers that end up in the oddest positions; and when they sleep together, that usually ends them up tangled into a messy love knot.

We have a second cat! Say hello to Cosmo!

For reasons out of her control my sister can't keep her cat, so my partner and I are taking her in. Works for us since we were already planning on getting a second cat anyways.

Husband: "Oh come on, Luke is not that bad about getting his nails clipped!"

here are Belphie's x-rays from a couple weeks ago! I'm not a vet, so I don't know what to zero in on here, but they show a "dilated right sided heart with moderate amount of pericardial effusion".

in other words, the right side of his heart is too big, and there's fluid all around it. which is bad! we don't want fluid!

it's very possible that FIP has messed with his heart (and there is precedence of the virus doing this exact thing), which means that it should improve with more time on the medication. but it's also possible that this is an underlying structural problem. I'm hoping it's the former, because if it's the latter, he'll likely have a shortened lifespan.

the only way to find out is to let him recover from FIP, and then check all his insides again. and in the meantime, he'll be getting plenty of medically prescribed kisses to the forehead!
