Rewatching Fun and Games before bed and just thinking about this amazing camerawork.

The camera turns and moves out to capture the entire crew. We can see each person get into position as soon as the camera clears their mark. It's one of my favorite moments both filmmaking and character wise.

It's like a play, where we can see everyone's faces. And I'm glad they continued that theme into this season.

Loonatics Unleashed --bad guys--

Some character designs I want to try for classic Looney Tunes villains in a futuristic, Loonatics-inspired style. Some of these characters already appear in the show, so I'll mainly be creating different takes on their designs, mostly wondering how they would look in a hero shooter game.

Syl-Vester and Claude – A pair of mercenaries for hire, taking any job they can to survive. I made Sylvester a little smaller and slyer than his Loonatics version but still somewhat buff, especially compared to his partner. They form a ninja-and-gunslinger duo with a slight resemblance to the SWAT Kats.

Electro Fudd – Not much different from his version in the show. He’s also a bounty hunter, but in my headcanon, the original Fudd created many clones of himself. So every time one of them is taken down, another can take his place. In fact, there are many Fudds working in the city in various other jobs.

Sam Bandit – Not too different from his version in the show, but I imagine him more as a futuristic train robber who operates mostly in the desert, attacking cargo trains. He uses special ammunition capable of damaging ships and destabilizing the terrain so his crew can loot them.

Finally, Mar-Vyn – A general of the Martian Empire, acting in the name of his queen and fantasizing about blowing up Earth.

I love Frenchie's lute playing, his aversion to cats that he still puts on EVERYTHING, and his schemes that bring the whole crew in.

I love Oluwande's heart and sunshine demeanor.

I love Stede's kindness and tenacity even when things are at their lowest.

I love Lucius's quick wit, friendship, and strength.

I love Roach's energy and ingenuity (that three-tier cake! Peanut butter!)

I love Ed's underlying hope, how he hasn't lost his sense of play and love even after all these years.

I love Buttons' full embrace to be who he is: a man in love with the sea.

I love Jim's journey from revenge to the Revenge. Them choosing the love of found family over the souls crushing weight of vengeance.

I love how Wee John uses his talents he learned as a kid to life for the crew. And I hope one day he gets to blow something up.

I love Mary taking control of her life when she can figure herself and her place in the world. (And her and Stede's understanding/friendship once they get to that place they can talk.)

I love Spanish Jackie's vehemence, their business acumen, and love of their husbands.

I love the Swede finding that something that makes him feel alive and loved.

I love Zheng's strength and integrity. How she too learns she can be soft.

I love Auntie's journey of learning to be soft with her love. And her quick reads on characters.

I love Black Pete's journey as he learns that he can just be himself, not put up a front.

I love Archie's chaos and snake cult and how it feels like she's always been with us.

I love Izzy's speech where he finally gets that it's about the crew and not about the image he's been clinging onto like a wet angry chihuahua.

I love Anne and Mary's games and their love for each other.

I love this show. I love the love in and around this show.

How would Ozzy and Joan react to Bandit?

Joan straight up looks like a Halloween decoration for a good thirty minutes after seeing Bandit.

Her first interaction with him, after some godawful mewling, is to bat the shit out of him when he comes over to investigate her. Eddie waves his hand at her to get her to back off and she bats at him too, with claws.

She does not bat at Steve when he picks her up and coos at her comfortingly, “I know, baby. I know.”

She sits outside of Bandit’s cage after Eddie puts him back inside of it and just watches the ferret. Once he’s no longer a threat, she is curious of him and they spend the rest of the day darting back and forth from one side of the cage to the other and sniffing at each other.

The next day when Eddie tries introducing her to Bandit again, she is much more friendly. She doesn’t react with violence at least. He still keeps an eye on the two of them when they’re playing but they do seem to get on just fine.

Ozzy reacts to Bandit pretty much the same way that he reacted to Joan.

The loud shouty one brought a small creature into the house and now Steve’s heart rate is up. Once Steve is calmed down enough that Ozzy doesn’t need to worry about him having a panic attack or a seizure, he investigates the ferret himself.

Bandit is actually more wary of Ozzy than he is of him, so Ozzy lays down and makes himself less of a threat. Bandit comes over to him and sniffs at him then runs away a few times before he climbs on Ozzy’s back.

Ozzy doesn’t mind being used as a jungle gym when he naps, but he doesn’t like Bandit nibbing on his ears and has no problem throwing the ferret off him. He also laid directly on top of Bandit when he wouldn’t leave Ozzy alone while he was trying to eat, but Eddie made him get off of him.

The only time Ozzy reacts aggressively towards Bandit was when Steve was about to have a seizure and he wouldn’t leave him alone. Even then, Ozzy just barked at him until he ran away.  

If Joan smacked Bandit on the head when he went to her, who’s to say it’s because of the seizure too.
