Well, this 1991 home in Orlando, FL does resemble a castle. It has 5bds, 4ba, 4,680 sq ft, $2.2m. But, let's see if it's tasteful or tacky.

I expected a grand entrance hall with stairs. The double doors open to a large living room, instead.

Not what I was expecting. Other rooms are visible from here, plus there's a mezzanine above with ivy growing down over the railing.

Off to the side of the front doors there's a powder room with a medieval look and a wine barrel sink.

The large kitchen has cabinets that you either like or not. I think that I'd rather have a single uniform color.

Here's another sitting area with doors to a patio.

Look at this- a round primary bedroom with a weird niche for a floral arrangement, a fireplace, and a mezzanine in the ceiling. To the left of the ensuite there are stairs that aren't visible. Note the ladder and square opening in the ceiling to climb up there.

I don't get it. It's just a narrow round space.

This appears to be a home office with a sitting area.

One of the secondary bedrooms is pretty plain and has a glass door.

Another plain secondary bedroom.

Modern/rustic shower room.

Large covered stone patio by the pool.

Nice pool features some dragon sculptures.

Large parking area and a 2 car garage.

A moat and drawbridge would be nice out front here.

Triangular shaped lot measures 10 acres.

That's Lake Mary Jane in the background, and the home is about 34 min. from Disney World.

Ως εξήγηση θα πρέπει να θεωρηθεί η μετάβαση Μανιατών εκεί και η παραμονή τους ως στρατιωτών, στο στρατό της Βενετίας ή άλλων Ιταλικών πόλεων.

Αλλά οπωσδήποτε, η ύπαρξή τους στη Μάνη είναι φανερό πως δικαιολογείται και από τα πράγματα, δηλαδή από την ανάγκη της απόκρουσης, των πειρατών, των Τούρκων και των άλλων εισβολέων, που μάταια επεχείρησαν να την καταλάβουν και από το ίδιο το κοινωνικό σύστημα που επικρατούσε στην περιοχή, τη διάκριση σε πατριές και τους εξοντωτικούς μεταξύ τους αγώνες.

Η σημασία του πύργου και η αξία της οικογένειας που τον κατείχε εξαρτιόταν από το ύψος του. Πολλές φορές ισχυρές οικογένειες δεν επέτρεπαν σε άλλες, λιγότερο σημαντικές, την ανέγερση ψηλού πύργου και άλλοτε επέβαλλαν το χαμήλωμα ή την κατεδάφισή του.

Who would like their own, lone, castle/fortress on a hill? 2002 castle-style house in Metamora, IN has 3bds, 1ba (that's odd, a castle w/only one throne room?), this is the 4th time they've dropped the price- Started out at $599k, and it recently went down to $499,930.

Don't expect a grand entrance, b/c the front door opens directly into the living room. But, there's some stone work around the door.

It's open to what looks like a great room with a loft above. Looks like an acid-washed cement floor.

Feature wall fireplace. There's a dining table here, b/c it's just outside the kitchen.

The kitchen is fairly small and they have dividers, for some reason.

The kitchen is so small. The fridge is gone, so there's a stove and a fridge, no dishwasher and just a sink unit of cabinets.

There's a pantry off to the side.

It has a washer/dryer hookup.

But this room that's a part of the kitchen is huge.

Then, here we have the one bath. It's nice.

Back to the "great room," this is what's up in the loft- the primary bedroom.

It's nice up here, but there's no privacy.

Down in the basement is the castle dungeon.

Rock walls, slate flooring.

Iron gate.

I'm confused here- these look like stairs coming up from the basement to this room.

Then more stairs go up to another loft.

And, it looks like the 2nd bedroom is in this loft.

There are several outbuildings on the property. The green one looks like a residence.

And, this one looks like it may have been an old house that was originally on property.

The castle on the hill comes with 39.24 acres.

Mulder is charming because his jokes and jabs aren't self indulgent. He doesn't tease Scully for peer validation or to feed his ego, he does it to get a reaction from her.

I don't think his character was written to be funny, but he is funny to Scully. He's plenty attractive and gets enough attention to be obnoxious about it, but he isn't. He's an oxford graduate and could take this stance of intellectual superiority, but he doesn't.

He values Scully's opinion from day one. He listens, he checks in with her, he gages her reaction. And that's endlessly more appealing to see than an arrogant and self assured playboy male lead. He's not a romantic hero but he also is.
