The Witching Hour: Part 1

[ Part 2 ]

Originally part of the Calaveras, Elias Navarez saw 8 year old Evelia Torres about to die in a witch burning. He killed everyone who was part of it and then adopted her, defecting from the Calaveras and started his own hunting organization. Originally just Calaveras defectors, the group grows to include other hunters, supernatural creatures, and even some ordinary humans, and the group grows into a family.

(Also there will probably be more ocs bc I still have ideas and need to build more of the family but this is it for now)

Acacia Summers [ Kiernan Shipka ] — 16; witch with nature magic, her older sister died around 8 years ago

Aileen Darragh [ Minka Kelly ] – early 20s; banshee, has never met another banshee until she meets Lydia

Alana Cabello [ Victoria Justice ] – 15/16; werewolf, potential Isaac Lahey ship

Alandra Silva [ Alba Baptista ] – 17; human, priestess to Apollo. Either recently rescued from a very intense pagan cult or is still with the cult at the start of the story

Alastor Argent [ Curran Walters ] – 15; human, Allison Argent's younger brother, does not support the family business and pays the price

Almira Castro [ Ana De Armas ] – 24; hunter, Darius Castro's younger sister, one of the earliest members of the family

Altea Calloway [ Kathryn Newton ] – 16; hunter

Asher “Ash” Faulkner [ Walker Scobell ] – 12; youngest of the Faulkner siblings

Ashlyn Argent [ Natalia Dyer ] – 15; hunter. Her father was Chris & Kate's middle brother, defected from the Argents to join this group, killed on a hunt but no one knows how he died.

Aven Yukimura [ Ryan Potter ] – 15/~70, unknown species. Noshiko’s son with Corporal Rhys, died at Eichen House when the Nogitsune first attacked. Has been stuck in Eichen House as a spirit until he's accidentally revived by Evelia

Beckett “Beck” Faulkner [ Alan Ritchson ] – 24; hunter, newest deputy at the Beacon Hills Sheriff Department, much older Faulkner brother, left home at 16 but when their parents are killed by the Alpha, he adopts his younger siblings

Carrie Prescott [ Sarah Michelle Gellar ] – 17; hunter, That Bitch™, Jackson & Lydia's bestie

Cassidy Hale [ Conor Leslie ] – 23; werewolf, Derek’s twin sister, lived with he and Laura in New York

Cynthia Ruelle [ Abigail Cowen ] – 15; phoenix

Darius Castro [ Oscar Isaac ] – 45; hunter, Elias' best friend. When Elias defected from the Calaveras, Darius followed him without question and the two started the new hunter family

Della Pemberton [ Candice King ] – 18/unknown, vampire. One of the two last survivors of a vampire coven that was slaughtered by hunters and now they’re in Beacon Hills, they chose it because there was no supernatural life left there so they’d be safe, but only a month or two after they moved, everything started up and now they’re the first suspects for killing Laura

Elias Navarez [ Pedro Pascal ] – 47, hunter. Founder of the family, Evelia's adoptive father, chooses to hunt monsters, not supernatural creatures.

If he were to be true to himself, which he generally isn't when it comes to this shit, Derek knew he was fucked the very first time he met Stiles Stilinski—no, actually, that's not entirely accurate. It was before that. He was fucked the second he smelled the kid's unique scent hitching a ride on the damp breeze that cut through Beacon Hills preserve on that fateful day, just over two years ago, when Derek stood on his family's land and tapped a claw against the plastic casing of the inhaler he'd found. The inhaler he'd sniffed out from the undergrowth in the middle of the night. The inhaler sitting inside the pocket of his dead Dad's leather jacket that he'd recovered from the ruins of his childhood home. The inhaler he'd returned the day after he played pretend with himself that it had been him who had bitten Scott McCall.

Derek has been playing pretend ever since.

But how is he supposed to pretend now, with the rogue piece of Stiles's clothing screwed up in his fist and him finally home alone in his own apartment? Worse (or better) is the fact that it's the kid's favourite beloved hoodie, the one he wears all the goddamn time which Derek can tell hasn't seen the inside of a washing machine in a while because of the way it reeks of nothing but pure, unadulterated Stiles.

Derek's eyes flash blue to remind him of who he is, at the same time as his fangs drop and his short nails extend into yellowed claws. Absently, he thinks of Little Red and The Big Bad Wolf when his form shifts, his resolve shattering like mirror glass as he accepts his seven years of bad luck with grace the moment he shoves his face into the fabric, now releasing that throaty groan that turns to a low growl then into a sex-hungry, shuddering snarl.

He inhales.

Deep; deeply; deeper.

And Derek is lost to Stiles, forever.

OPEN STARTER: @colecassiidy LOCATION: Outskirts of Jackson // Willow's Cabin TIME: Late Afternoon/Early Evening CHARACTERS:  Willow Hale && Cole Cassidy

The metal prong Willow was holding to poke at the fire was beginning to warm in her hand, feeling the heat radiate up the shaft as she fought to turn the little flickering of flames into a roaring blaze. Cole had been gone a few hours now, and a part of her was starting to worry. It always did whenever he left to get supplies. What if something happened to him and she wasn't there to help? What if he just decided he'd had enough of being here with her and refused to return. An endless battering of thoughts in her mind that she did her best to push aside. If she could just get this damn... there we go.

The flames began devouring the logs of wood she'd packed neatly into the cabin's built-in fireplace, but it would need more soon. Stepping outside, the bitter cold of winter had taken the wind for ransom, replacing it with something cruel and sinister. Her jaw trembled from the ferocity of it as she brushed snow away from the stockpile of wood, taking a few more logs in her arms before heading back inside. Wanting to keep the cabin as warm and inviting as she could for his arrival.

Funny, how since their meeting, she regularly checked a non-existent watch, all-but waiting at the door to make sure he came home safely. She'd never truly known what it felt to care for another, until the day he landed on her door step. The irony of all ironies that he came to raid her home, to take what little she had like so many before him... only this time, when he'd found her, there was no pain. Not like before. There was a stolen glance, a look in his eye and a change in his features... his body softened, and instead of taking - he gave her the only thing she'd ever wanted in this world.

A noise at the door drew her attention, head whipping in that direction. Her body stiffened, until a looming silhouette filled the door, his own frame just as big. Looking moderately disheveled, but otherwise unharmed, Willow dropped the logs in her arms over the hearth next to the fire and rushed towards him. He had to dip down for Willow to be able to reach his neck, wrapping her arms around them, mind going numb with relief. "I'm glad you're okay." She whispered, her voice level, doing her best to hide the emotions overwhelming her.

"Did you get what you needed? Come inside, it's freezing. I got the fire going about an hour ago, I wanted to make sure the cabin was warm for you.
