I love thinking about ocs and canon characters interacting because of all the beef you can give them. Like, why does this random dockworker insult a literal popstar whenever they see each other??? Why does she want this popstar to fall down the stairs and stay away from recruiting more child soldiers, what is she talking about??

Billionaires Don’t Want You to Know About This Supreme Court Case
A majority of Americans support a wealth tax. But, surprise, surprise, the wealthy Republican megadonors who’ve been plying Supreme Court justices with gifts and vacations do not. And if those justices don’t recuse themselves from a case I’m about to explain, it will be a grave conflict of interest and potentially block Congress from ever enacting a wealth tax.
Moore v. U.S. concerns a one-time tax charged in 2017 on profitable foreign investments regardless of whether investors cashed them in.
The plaintiffs argue that the tax is unlawful under the 16th Amendment, which gives Congress the power to tax incomes.
Right now the super wealthy can take advantage of increases in the value of their stock portfolios by using stock as collateral to borrow all the money they need instead of taking taxable income. It’s a way to have their cake and eat it too.
If the Supreme Court buys the argument that the Constitution does not give Congress the power to tax increases in the value of investments, that would make it impossible to ever pass a wealth tax.
But here’s the kicker: This case raises profound conflicts of interest on the Supreme Court.
Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas both accepted luxury vacations from billionaires who stand to gain financially and are tied to conservative political groups that are responsible for appealing the case.
No wonder Americans don’t trust the Supreme Court.
So what can you do?
First, share this video to spread the word about this little-known case.
Second, contact your representatives, and urge them to demand that justices with conflicts of interest recuse themselves.
And third, if your representative doesn’t support a wealth tax to combat inequality, replace them with somebody who does.
With so much at stake, now is not the time to sit on the sidelines.

The letter had been delivered by a cardinal with bright red feathers and a kind look in its little eyes. It flies away after dropping the letter. The mail is in a tea stained envelope, and the letter inside is also tea stained, but smells lightly of flowers, as well. It had been sealed by a golden wax seal with the image of a lute indented within it. The writing is a bit messy, but legible.
Dear Gale,
(wait- can I call you that? Or do you prefer Mr. Dekarios? Man, i am terrible at writing letters-)
You don’t entirely know me.. I’m Casea Redwood! More well known as the Songbird of the Sword Coast- not that that particularly matters, really- HOWEVER, I am writing to send you a warning. I am often troubled with images of tragedy in my sleep. This has been worsened by my uh.. Experimenting with the more macabre aspects of the Weave and all that.. Just a bit of Necromancy- nothing to worry about!
As I was saying- I have been sent an image of grave happenings regarding your more.. Failing connection with the Goddess, Mystra. You ought to exercise caution when dealing with her in any form. I know that you’ve had a rough go about things- and this letter is probably a smack to the face- (sorry about this by the way..)- However I have cause to believe the winds of change are heading your way.
Some omens to look out for- a sphere, a hand, a familiar face, a tomb of sorts (at least it looks like a casket to me..), a gateway, and a boot. I have no idea what any of these mean, yet I hope that this can aid you in the future! Whatever it may look like. Hopefully you can figure out what is happening and uh.. Get to the bottom of it! Word about you is that you’re one smart cookie!
So I’m sure you’ll be alright. If you ever need more insight from me you can always write a letter, seal it with a golden seal, and send it with a bird. Any bird! They find their way to me eventually! And a bit of a final word- Keep hope, my Not-yet-possibly-friend! I don’t know much about the Weave itself, but I do know that it has a way of making things work out. As someone who knows it better than I, I’m sure things will be okay. If not tomorrow, then someday.
Your (Possibly) Friend,
Casea Redwood.
(OOC: I went for a pre-events of BG3 kinda thing with my future Tav, Casea Redwood! He is a human Bard who is Odd, but tries to help when he can! I am so sorry for how long this is/gen and I hope you’re having a wonderful day! Your blog is so cool, btw! Okay, goodbye!)
Dearest Casea,
I can see why you’ve received such a title for a Sword Coast dweller. It’s not every day one has a cardinal-delivered letter sent to them and not a pigeon.
However, the contents of your letter deeply disturbs me. My connection with the Goddess is all but fragile, I would hope, considering my extensive history with the Weave. It’s not usual for one to experience so-called “visions” picturing the destruction or alteration of that. Though things may, perhaps, be a bit rocky at the moment, my ultimate connection to the Weave is what counts!
Fear not, my friend, I will heed your vision with utmost warning. Though, I do have to ask, was it through your vision that you heard of my… current status with Mystra? Or was it by any chance at all through other means? Curious minds lead one to wonder! You can imagine the state I may be in with comments like those.
Regarding your omens, none quite ring any bells for this mind of mine. Is there any chance of elaboration on any of them? A sphere I can allude to perhaps an orb already part of my current reality, a familiar face… well, that could mean many people. And a tomb, or casket, you say? Unless this is a devil’s mind trick cast on you, these relay no sense of familiarity to anything happening within my state.
I appreciate your optimism despite your worries and your visions. If you happen to have one in relation to myself again, I would like to hear of it. If you ever have a moment to travel the Coast to Waterdeep, it may serve us both peace of mind to discuss the matter over tea.
Your aptness to write me over this does prove hopeful, however. I caution you with your dabbling in the darker side of the Weave but appreciate the notice nonetheless.
From the desk of,

[Analysis] The Remarried Empress: A Victim Of Circumstance
Source: The Remarried Empress, Chapter 51
By: Casea Smith | @coffeewithkrow
While the Remarried Empress has been on a well-deserved hiatus, I’ve been reading it over again. I find that re-reading is always interesting because it gives you the chance to see if you might come out with a different opinion or point of view, especially now that you have had some foresight into future events. While I’ve reconsidered my thoughts and feelings on some things in my latest re-read, one thing hasn’t changed and that’s my opinion of Rashta.
Oh, Rashta. The most hated female character in the entire webcomic. Reading the comments wherein she’s often nicknamed “Trashta,” you may be convinced she’s the most hated female character in general. I do understand the criticisms directed at her, however I find it errs toward vitriol and I simply cannot bring myself to the same boiling point when I see her to be a misunderstood victim of her circumstances
Am I saying Rashat is perfect? No.
Source: The Remarried Empress
The makings of a fairytale became a reality for her. Though I don’t believe she truly loves Sovieshu, the Emperor, love isn’t required in order for her to have been sold on this fantasy. Keep all of this in mind as I believe her character flaws stem from this very point.
Rashta has many character flaws, she certainly puts the “Rash” in her name by making quick decisions without thinking about the consequences of her actions. She’ll impulsively lie and be deceptive for reasons that can be vexing for most. She also puts a lot of stock in what people think of her, often leaning into paranoia rather than self-reflection. Moreover, she will position herself to be pitied and doted on by the Emperor.
Petty and annoying things, assuredly. However I don’t believe that these flaws are worthy of such strong disdain, particularly in the beginning episodes of the webcomic.
Source: The Remarried Empress, Chapter 36
He actively pitted Rashta against the Empress as he would make a scene over every small thing Navier did. He painted it as though the Empress despised Rashta and was scheming to get rid of her from the start. I believe this caused Rashta to feel the need to lie about Navier’s acceptance of her to save face with the nobles, as well as paint the Empress as a villain to Sovieshu.
Source: The Remarried Empress, Chapter 17
Anything she perceives as a risk, no matter how benign it may look on the surface, is detrimental to her well-being, not just a minor concern that can be overlooked. You can find examples of this behavior in Chapters 17 and 18. Viscount Lotteshu, who used to own Rashta, threatened his way into meeting with her after making a scene at the party about her origins.
Source: The Remarried Empress, Chapter 44
Through her experiences as a slave and how she is treated thereafter, I believe this is what shapes her opinion of how nobles and royalty behave. They are either sickeningly sweet or horrendously wicked. They may dote on her one moment and the next be plotting for her downfall–and, for Rashta, it is a very steep fall. She is nearly powerless to her circumstance as she is in a constant state of potentially losing everything.
Yes, Rashta lies. Yes, she’ll do petty things to Navier. Yes, she schemes in order to keep herself in her position. However, she is tortuously navigating her way through a world she had lucked into, a world she was never prepared to enter.
Navier, in stark contrast to Rashta, was raised for the sole purpose of being an Empress. She was taught and prepared to handle issues with a level of decorum and intention behind everything she does. Meanwhile, Rashta never had such training and possibly can’t even begin to grasp these concepts as she attempts to, essentially, cosplay the role of a noble that’s been thrust upon her by current circumstances.
Source: The Remarried Empress, Chapter 35
Rashta is blinded by her suffering as she impulsively does dishonest and questionable things. Her actions and the actions of Sovieshu are all adding up, plummeting her into a downward spiral in later chapters. Though she never had tact to begin with, her means of avoiding trauma become even more careless and messy. This is a type of hell all on its own, as her attempts to run away from her pain are causing her to careen right toward it. Yet, that’s why I like her as a character, because she is an example of there being no such thing as a “perfect victim.”
Rashta may be flawed, but that doesn’t make her any less of a victim. She has no right to be absolved from any consequences, but I do believe she deserves a little more empathy from readers than what she garners now.

okay sorry this is on my mind bc reading for class but it is SO fucking weird to me that theres women who will go on about formula being better for their babies than breastfeeding and how their baby is better off never being breastfed and yada yada like;;;;;;
listen its the womans choice yea But scientifically medically speaking outside of that. n o. no. in 98% of cases no. whatever some ppl made in a lab is not the same as what humans have been surviving off of for millions of years and what the body has carefully over millennium adapted to do. it does not contain the antibodies which that baby needs for an immune system. it does not contain the same nutrients.
there are studies which show actually that even exlusively bottle feeding your baby partially a real milk is correlated w that baby having microbiome disregulaties, leading to weaker immune systems, allergies, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, among others. in part bc of formula in part bc in breastfeeing and skin contact the baby adapts to the womans bacteria and thus has a normal and healthy microbiome
like. again. yes its a womans choice. and u know plenty of women who cant for xyz issue perfectly understandable no shame but
,,,,,,,;;;; there is like a subsect of ppl who either shame those who breastfeed or have got it in their heads that somehow formula and bottlefeeding your baby is Better and its just. so not scientifically true in 99% of casea and also tbh when it comes to that mentality im pretty sure its tied into some sort of capitalistic ploy for consumption and more stuff to make people as far removed from their bodies and nature as possible
#more than anything even the antibodies???? hello that shit is so important what#on a purely objective scientific level when making an argument thats just not. ignorable?

Speaking of hatred between oc and canon characters. What is the symbol for that???? We've already got romance with [blank character A]/[blank character B] and friendship with [blank character A]&[blank character B]. So where's the hatred one?? Where's the enemies that never become lovers?? Where's the one for the two acquaintances with a mutual friend that only aren't fighting because of them??
My suggestion for this: [blank character A] - [blank character B]
#Gonna be using this for anything involving Casea Reef and Marie Cuttlefish#Casea Reef - Marie Cuttlefish#casea reef#marie cuttlefish#Ocs#Fandom#???? Don't really know if that one counts

It might just be me but, while I understand a lot of people enjoy ‘fanon’ for a reason, I think when it’s pushed down people’s throats it’s very annoying and borderline delusional
I know it’s an old discussion that will never be resolved but for example: gender of a character
‘To me this character is xyz’ — like ok. But I still find it strange when it’s prefaced like that because the author/creator wrote a woman or man, or whatever. And people like to say they’re something else.
Obviously for fan fiction or HCs that’s totally fine that’s why these things exist. But to say it like it’s a fact that character A is gay when they’re not, and character A is clearly a woman (or man or whatever human) as the creator made them—I just. It’s annoying and it feels disrespectful to the author who made this character in the first place
Listen, as an example, Renee and Allison from aftg are straight. But a lot of fans ship them as a lesbian couple. And it’s whatever. But then someone starts attacking other fans for simply enjoying and saying what’s actually canon and not every damn character has to be queer just to satisfy the audience.
This rant came out of nowhere I just thought of this blog as it’s always discussing so many character thoughts and meta and I 💀
well we love to discussing character thoughts and meta on on this blog for sure!! i see your point, but i think fanon is unavoidable and the best thing i found to kind of not get riled by discussion like this is just disengage from fandom at large and focusing on groups of people who share your interpretation of a media or are chill about their headcanons.
you already brought up aftg and ngl i tend to struggle a lot with some fanon aspects while embracing others. it’s really just a matter of curating your experience. i think with aftg in particular canon is super lose if you don’t include the extra content (because it’s not directly tied to the books like in an addendum or anything). sooo if you look at it like this, technically renee and allison aren’t canonical straight or queer. in canon, their sexualities remain undefined which is probably why a lot of the fandom headcanons them as queer. so canon basically says nothing about that topic.… so who is right now? you see what i mean?? sooo much room for different fanons that all aren’t really canon. ofc you can take nora’s extra content into account, but i don’t think what’s outside of the book has to count for the canon text. it can if you want, but it doesn’t have to??? does that makes sense?? i also don’t think fanon is necessarily disrespectful to the author and their vision, but in extreme casea it might be… and some authors might be bothered while others couldn’t care less. but i think when you create something and put it out into the world people will always interact with it in a way that might sometimes be removed from that original vision.
it’s really just kind of on you to remove yourself from that if you don’t vibe with it. fanon will always be there one way or another…. you do you and find the people who do as you do and you’ll forget some fanon stuff even exist.
#this is such a nuanced discussion you could write an essay about it#like literally my aftg circle is sooooo limited because of fanon. even tho i do enjoy renison and jerejean. but omg#some interpretation of characters drive me up the wall#also as an aside but. you are on the queer website…where queer people want their media to be queer or they’ll make it queerer#no moral judgement one way or another#just is what it is#answer#anon#hope you’re doing well

The Caseic Federal Road Network
The Caseic Federal Road Network is the main road network of the Caseic Federation, connecting trade routes and transport across its many states. The road network has two designations for roads: major federal roads and minor federal roads. Minor federal roads are typically smaller and serve less-populated regions than major federal roads.
List of roads
Major Federal Roads
1 - The 1 road is the oldest and longest road in the network, connecting cities on the west coast from Jim to Canebrija. South of Abaye, the diamond symbol is used, whereas the octagonal symbol is used to the north. This is because it was originally two different 1 roads which connected together.
2 (South) - This 2 road connects Capa Gasti to Ibe-Jibin, the Federal Capital. It was later extended to meet the N road. This road is informally known as the "Major Capital road", in contrast to the Minor Capital road which also passes through Ibe-Jibin.
2 (North) - This 2 road connects Bainache to Bariyesa. The different 2 roads were built concurrently,
3 - The 3 road connects Canebrija to Framche
4 - The 4 road connects Famrat to the 1 road via Achearia
S - The S road (also known as the 5 road) connects Senje to the 1 road and to the N and M roads.
GNU1 - The GNU1 (Grand Nayela Union 1) road connects the G.N.U. capital, Framaja-Nayela, to the 1 road and to Ibe-Framji.
GNU2 - The GNU2 road connects Framaja-Nayela to the GNU3 road along the Central Nayela River.
GNU3 - The GNU3 road connects the cities on the west coast of Brenjia Bay. It runs from Jifanci to Ibe-Nayela.
GNU4 - The GNU4 road connects the cities on the east coast of Brenjia Bay, starting at Ibe-Nayela, then continues around the coast to Bainache.
GNUB - The GNUB road provides a shorter and more sensible route from Ibe-Nayela to Bainache.
B - The B road encircles the island of Brisa. It is disconnected from the rest of the road network, and is accessible from the island of Casea by the Nisi-Jiricaya ferry.
J - The J road connects Canebrija to Bariyesa.
M - The M road connects the cities in the mountains, namely Famrat, Framche, and Ibe-Framji.
N - The N road connects Ibe-Nacha to the 1 and M roads.
Minor Federal Roads
GNU2' - The GNU2' (GNU2-prime) road connects Framaja-Nayela to Senje. Because of deteriorating relations between the G.N.U. and Sencharea, this road is falling into disuse.
Jesfig Loop - The Jesfig Loop encircles Lake Jesfig, between the kingdoms of Esiga and Jasfeya.
Minor Capital - The Minor Capital road, indicated by the symbol of the Federal Capital, connects Ibe-Jibin to the 1 road and the 4 road.
Minor 1 (West) - This Minor 1 road connects the Minor Capital road to the eastern side of the 1 road.
Minor 1 (East) - This Minor 1 road connects Bainache to the Jesfig loop via Bachec.
Minor 2 - The Minor 2 road is a bypass of the northern 2 road which connects to the Jesfig loop.
Minor B - The Minor B road is a bypass of the B road which provides a shortcut from Nisi to the Brisa fjords.
Minor M - The Minor M road is an extension of the M road which connects to the Jesfig loop
Minor W - The Minor W road connects the 1 road to the GNU3 road.
