Girls Panzer

I love this anime so much I named the robot that cleans my pool Panzer. He also looks like a small blue tank. It's adorable. Watching him clean makes me feel so satisfied.

Children of the Whales

I watched this one at work. And you know it really was a let down. I thought the idea was interesting but the execution could have been better.

Gangsta

This is one of those anime that I’d love a second season of. It was wonderful. Would watch it again.

I enjoyed the comedic elements of this anime. Some of the characters were interesting. However, I wasn’t crazy about them being called Sherlock and Watson and all that. It just felt really weird.

I derive some strange pleasure from things like trash anime. And I mean trash in the best way. Watching this anime makes me feel like I’m trash for loving it, but also what other reason do I get for randomly yelling PASTA.

It has such great Double Decker energy! I was just rewatching it the other day and wanted more, so this is absolutely perfect for what I was looking for

Can you blame him though? His dad was an asshole, his mum alcoholic, let's not even talk about his teacher. He found himself targeted (TWICE or even more) un some case, shot in the knee, saw a friend commit suicide and now his potential boyfriend  best friend is out stabbing people.

Anime of the day: Case file n°221 : Kabukicho

Let’s talk about the funniest anime I’ve recently watched. I was totally surprised by this anime, I mean just knocked me out of the park. So this anime ways just sitting on my list and being ignored and on my normal binge cycle I watched it. My god was this a surprise. So it’s a mystery anime and it’s characters are based in the Sherlock Holmes world, but in a modern Japan setting. The Sherlock Holmes part was my least favorite; because I know the basics of Sherlock I say somethings coming. However, that was my only problem.

The humor brought this anime home. It was ridiculously funny in a well balanced tactical way. I think this anime would be best described as a comedy and not a mystery. The mystery elements are used to build up the comedic elements. My favorite parts are the rakugo parts. I understand why some people don’t like them but hey this is my thing so meh. Rakugo is a type of comedic story telling done in Japan with limited props. Sherlock is terrible at it and it’s hilarious. I never, ever, ever thought I would even have to consider some one doing a rokugo naked, but man was I wrong.

I think the characters are what really makes this anime interesting. Each one in imporatnt and unique. They all play specific roles and give variety to the episodes. The opening is "CAPTURE" by EGO-WRAPPIN'. Then endings are “百億光年" by Lozareena and “パレード" by Huwie Ishizaki. I don’t think any of them stood out very much but they weren’t bad and they did mesh with the anime’s content.

Il sito ufficiale di “Case File N°221: Kabukicho” (Kabukichou Sherlock) ha annunciato che il 26 agosto sarà rilasciato in Giappone un nuovo volume Blu-ray/DVD contente una serie di 6 OVA, una guida al distretto Kabukicho di Shinjuku, il video pilota della serie e il commento audio da parte dei doppiatori Katsuyuki Konishi (Sherlock Holmes), Yuuichi Nakamura (John H. Watson) e Seiichirou Yamashita (James Moriarty). 

La prima delle inedite side-story incentrate su passato e futuro dei protagonisti, che in tutto dovrebbero durare circa 25 minuti, si intitolerà “Moriarty no Shoutai” (La vera identità di Moriarty) e mostrerà come Moriarty fu una volta il bersaglio del borseggio da parte di Yoshio, in un ricordo del loro incontro durante la gioventù.

A est di Shinjuku si trova il distretto Kabukicho ed è lì che si propagano anche le ombre più scure. Dove il male regna, la fioca luce di un detective continua a brillare. Nel condomino gestito dalla signora Hudson abitano sette strani e oscuri individui; la notte in cui Jack lo squartatore commette un bizzarro omicidio, si aprono le tende del palcoscenico.

L’originale serie diretta da Ai Yoshimura (Oregairu, Dance with Devils) presso lo studio Production I.G (B: The Beginning, Run with the Wind) e sceneggiata da Taku Kishimoto (Joker Game, 91 Days), è andata in onda fra ottobre 201 e marzo 2020. 

Licenziata in Italia da Dynit è stata distribuita in streaming su Amazon Prime Video dove trovate tutti i 24 episodi si in lingua originale con sottotitoli, sia doppiati in italiano.
