The image of all of this is absolutely sending me sksksksksk. A hawaiian shirt and a carnival mask wearing Tubbo building his prison core school as he grumbles endlessly. An equally dressed Aypierre and Bad are doing NPC-roleplay while behaving like Team Rocket in the background. Bikini wearing Mike is doing carpentry while Pac makes the windows. The poor eggos who just are witnessing this dumpster fire of a building as nuclear sirens blare out the buliding.

Prison · Riot · Revolt Masterpost
Hello! as the name suggest, this is a masterpost, where all my transcrips for the "Prison · Riot · Revolt" event can be found.
It also doubles as a masterlist of all the sources i've used in every chapter. Big shout out to the nukani wiki, since that's where most of my sources come from.
Another big shout out is to user RauTOI on yt; they recorded the chapters for "Prison · Riot · Revolt" and uploaded them. Without those videos, i would've been unable to transcript the chapters.
You can find a link to the playlist they've made with all the chapters separated into two videos in the "source" part of this post, however, if you click on their name, it should take you to their channel.
I hope everyone can enjoy the story now!
(also, if you find any typos or errors in any of the posts, please say so! i will correct them as soon as possible.)
Note: as of writing this, I haven't put this transcrips up in the NU Carnival wiki yet, but i promise i will do so soon.
240615Edit: Helloooo... I've just finished putting up all of the chapters in the nukani wiki! Yay :D! I hope this event can now be enjoyed by everyone ^_^
Here is the link for the wiki article.

idk how necessary is to say this, BUT, as you can see i don't own the story, or characters, or anything, really. The only thing i take credit for is manually transcripting it all... Even if it took me several days and caused me back/neck pains...
Fun fact: The google document i made for the whole transcripted story + a very messy list with all my sources + a list to keep progress of each chapter (like: "transcripted, posted.") is about 35 pages long. :)

Hey there! For Joey/Jounouchi, can you do 8, 23 and 25 please?
8- favorite outfit
The one he wears on the museum trip in the early chapters of the manga! The one with the letterman jacket… he’s a little fashion boy. And then he’s like “Yuugi why are you wearing school clothes it’s Sunday???”
23- Future headcanon
I think Jounouchi does a really hands-on job that brings him joy like carpentry or construction(he likes it so much in the carnival game chapter when he builds the pirate game for their booth), and then also does pro dueling concurrently and then people think he’s funny and they like hearing his takes on things so he keeps getting paid to make appearances on dueling talk shows and podcasts and then he makes a little series on his like. Instagram or whatever and then Honda shames him because he’s doing it for free and then he learns how to make sponcon and he mostly does that. He still builds stuff, though. He uses his extra money to buy incredibly niche woodworking materials. Also he’s sponsored by Industrial Illusions because Kaiba sure as hell wasn’t going to do it even though Jounouchi’s the third strongest duelist and easily the most charismatic… it’s also incredibly common knowledge in the duel monsters world that Kaiba hates Jounouchi’s guts.
25- when did they act the most ooc?
In the ceremonial duel!!! When Anzu was like “he doesn’t have to go there’s got to be a way around this” and he’s basically like “you gotta chill we have no power over this it has to be this way just put your head down and accept it like a man” or whatever… Atem is his friend!!! I feel like he would have fought harder!!!
Also anytime he’s just fully a bumbling mess in the anime. He’s not completely inept but they make him seem lamer to make Kaiba seem cooler a lot in the anime and I resent it!!

“Hey, Shauntal! I need a sword!”
“Heads up, Kina! Catch!”
The other Boros legionnaire obliged her squadmate, and tossed a sheathed blade to her fellow soldier. Kina caught it with a practiced, professional grace, and nodded at her friend.
“Much obliged!” Kina chimed. In one fluid motion, the soldier drew the weapon from its scabbard, flung it upwards with a spin, and caught it by its handle once it had performed a full revolution.
“Show-off.”
“That’s the idea,” Kina smirked.
“You mean…oh no.” Shauntal’s hand met her helmeted forehead. “That is tonight, isn’t it? Don’t go. I promise you, there’s better ways to waste an evening.”
“Not if I’m the opening act, there’s not! Besides, you’re just jealous I can do this!”
Kina drew another sword from her belt, and a third from her pack. One after another, she lobbed the weapons into the air, and soon she began to deftly juggle the three blades, all the while still holding a conversation with her friend.
“A little time on the throwing knife range would do you some good, you know!”
Shauntal folded her arms. “As might some night classes at a…Rakdos carnival, perhaps?”
Kina gave Shauntal a knowing wink. The soldier rolled her eyes in response.
“Night classes? Shauntal, I have no earthly idea what you mean! I’m self-taught on juggling glowing thousand-degree knives!”
Shauntal arched an eyebrow. “‘Knives’?” she parroted.
“Ah. Um. Yes. By which I mean, bladed weapons of all kinds, of course!”
“Of course.”
[Rakdos night school, or “clown college,” as it’s lovingly called, teaches all manner of trade and/or performing skills to folks from all over Ravnica. From knife juggling to public speaking to carpentry, if you can think of it, they probably teach it, both in and outside of a stage context! Everyone who takes courses with the program is offered a spot in the Cult, and although many turn down the offer, there are plenty who end up performing on the side, and even a few who find their calling there with the guild.]

Lord of Night
Sessions Zero: The Pentacle Gathers
Vor Ziyden is a good sized village of some one thousand residents standing directly before the eaves of Ziyden Wood, where most ply their trade. There are many foresters and foragers, a great deal of timber cut to planks and shipped away, plus carpentry and woodworking. Field crops are planted and swine herded in the open on the west side of the village, although some pigs are trained to sniff out forest truffles; a notable delicacy, indeed.
A river curves around the community, providing protection on the east, south, and west, leaving the only direct approach from he north. A wood bridges with guard house spans the river to east, while a stone bridge with tower lies west. The community between them is well-settled and study, with a blend of highland and lowland architectures lending considerable charm. The structures are not well maintained, however, leaving everything looking shabby and scuffed.
Ziyden folk have very little interaction with the Dilisnya Family and its politics, and are all the happier for it. There are few public duels in Vor Ziyden, even fewer poisonings, and a genuine sense of humor pervades the village over the generational feuding between Degravo and Lionscourt. They select their own Mayor but don't bother to call that person "lord," because no one here is noble in the slightest degree.
These are humble folk with humble appetites and ambitions, unimpressed by wealth, nobility, and other "finery." Their news and gossip is entirely self-reflective, concerned with their own lives, families, and community, alone. Visitors are welcome as long as they remain well behaved and don't bring trouble chasing on their heels.
If strangers in Vor Ziyden have exotic goods to sell or useful trades to offer, so much the better. The community lacks in alchemists, jewelers, precious metal smiths, and stoneworkers. It has lumber, woodworked goods including furniture, and hides in abundance for sale or trade.
Coming Together
Wyl & Jaem departed Barrowby understanding there's deadly conflict in the north, so made their way south to Markov Keep. There, they were advised to find counsel in Markovina, which lies to the southwest, so made their way in Hangman Pass with a donkey and cart. Dom Tatal received similar advice before leaving the Darkonian Front, but made his way south below the western slopes of Mount Gries. He found Wyl & Jaem lost in the Herding Hills and bedeviled by wolves so took the pair under his wing, leading their way into the lowlands north of Vor Ziyden. Gregor Kovacs was advised to find deeper wisdom in Markovina, although the directions weren't very clear; east of Ilvin somewhere, within or beyond Ziyden Wood. Reaching the town proved easy enough, but the Lord Mayor there tasked Gregor with escorting some noblewoman to Vor Ziyden. Alyss Van Roeyen has been traveling throughout the Dilisnya West, advancing her arcane studies with very little success. At least, Lord Mayor Frederik Dilisnya of Ilvin was good enough to point her Vor Ziyden way, feeeling certain she could find Markovina's arcane library from there. He even arrange for an escort.
Over three nights and days making their, Dom provides Wyl & Jaem with sound instruction on the proper means of surviving wilderness travel. After sharing their separate tales of terror, thereby explaining the current need for justice, the first spark of Monster Slayers, Inc is born. The older man offers to help the "boys" get their revenge, if they happen on the Dark Carnival while traveling together. In exchange, they agree to help Dom with his own monster slaying along the way, freely admitting they require better experience.
Mounted in Ilvin, Gregor and Alyss have much less interaction on their two-day journey to Vor Ziyden. There is an inn at the half-way point, where they share supper before taking separate rooms, and also share personal horrors. Alyss is impressed with the big man's devotion to his sister, especially when none of her own family defended her. Gregor finds the noblewoman's strength of character admirable, as well, confessing he'll probably need magical assistance to locate and destroy the Demon Lover.
Personalities of Vor Ziyden
MAYOR HEINRICH GRUENDER (Lawful Good Veteran) has the unenviable task of collecting rents, taxes, and tariffs from Vor Ziyden, and turns them over to Lord Mayor Frederik Dilisnya for inclusion in semi-annual tributes to the Count. Unlike others in his position, Herr Heinrich is a successful businessman in his own right, owning the horses, stables, wagons, and wainwrights so critical for Vor Ziyden's trade. By keeping his lifestyle frugal in spite of elevation position, Gruender is able to collect only the required sums the community owes without padding his own pocket for living expenses.
PCs only encounter the Mayor if they specifically ask for and seek out the village's leader. Gruender cannot provide directions to Markovina, deflecting that question to Father Waldu at the sanctuary. Locally, however, he knows there's trouble with the spring planting being sabotaged at night, and no one's managed to explain or resolve the mystery. Elsewhere in the country, Lord Igor Markov's defenders along the Darkonian Front have fallen back again, following the loss of a third Markov son to the conflict.
Alyss and Gregor seek out the Mayor, of course, expecting a minor nobleman and authority recognizing Writ, but find neither. The pair of them (Persuasion average 19) are directed to the Ziyden Haus for lodgings, and Father Waldu for directions to Markovina. They're also asked in advance to excuse Granny Goodnight, who's mad but perfectly harmless, rest assured.
EZMER ANDROVNA (Lawful Neutral Commoner) co-owns and supervises operations at Ziyden Haus Inn & Taverna. In her late twenties, she's front-woman for the family-owned operation, focused her talents mostly on guests. Ezmer's father sees to the taproom, as he's the brewing genius, while Mama rules the kitchen as chief cook. Ezmer's brothers take care of stables and outdoor chores, while younger twin sisters begrudgingly attend to housekeeping. Everyone in Vor Ziyden known Ezmer and Father Waldu were childhood sweethearts, but both insist they're just good friends today.
Ezmer has a problem strangers could help with, provided they know how to keep their yaps shut. Last summer, a Vistani troupe visited the community and some of their number found occasion to visit the tavern. What began as a friendly exchange of home-distilled Vistani spirits and Herr Androv's pride-and-joy Moonlight Ale turned into an outright drinking contest, complete with insults hurled and punches thrown. Papa Androv and the Vistani leader knocked each other out cold, leaving their mortified friends and family to apologize and carry them off to respective beds.
When the Vistani departed at dawn the next morning every scarecrows in the village vanished with them. Everyone assumed they'd been stolen in juvenile retribution, but now that spring's arrived the truth's revealed. Those scarecrows were enchanted, ran off to hid in the woods all winter and now creep back to their fields after dark, ruining the new season's planting. Destroy the menace without bringing Papa's involvement into public knowledge, and Ezmer will give the PCs their rooms, baths, and board gratis, along with a 10 gp reward, each.
Dom along with Wyl & Jaem make first priority upon reaching Vor Ziyden the tavern and inn, respectively. The boys want baths and clean clothes, while the only thing Dom's interested in washing just now is Herding Hills dust out of his throat. Wyl & Jaem (Persiasions 18 & 19) make very good impressions, as does Dom (Persuasion 18).
WALDU POPESCU (Neutral Good Priest) is Saintsman of Vor Ziyden, assisted in his work by a pair of local Acolytes, siblings Hansel and Gretle. Born and reared in the village, Waldu departed a rebellious young man only to return a cleric of the life domain. He's also skilled with herbal remedies, maintaining an extensive herb garden around the sanctuary. Considered the most eligible bachelor in the community at thirty, Popescu demonstrates no hint of interest in romance or marriage whatsoever.
He can point PCs in Markovina's direction, as that town is home not only to himself but Saintsmen everywhere. It's a three-day walk eastward and south, following a particular path through Ziyden Wood. (That's one-and-a-half days mounted travel, so a night camp, either way.) The route's easy enough to follow once one knows what to look for -- the Saint's sunburst symbol marking on tree trunks, large rocks, an occasional bedrock outcrops.
Additionally, Father Waldu has three potions of healing he is willing to part with for 25 gp each, six flasks of holy water for 25 gp, silver sunburst symbols for 5 gp, and gold sunburst pendants for 10 gp. He also posses a figurine of wonderous power - silver raven which he uses after meeting with PCs, alerting Markovina as to their number, natures, and impending arrival.
After luncheon at the inn and Mayor's residence, respectively, Dom, Wyl & Jaem, and Alyss and Gregor arrive at the sanctuary in the early afternoon for consultation with the good father. (Persuasions 8, 19, 5, 9, 23 = 13) Unusual to have one traveler seeking Markovina at a time, let alone five converging together, but Popescu offers directions to the town.
GRANNY GOODNIGHT (Chaotic Neutral Warlock) is the oldest resident of Vor Ziyden, so close to one hundred even the village's other elders refer to her as "granny." Everyone knows the ancient widow's mind's been slipping for years. She's most often seen toddling about Vor Ziyden with her cane, greeting every passerby with a cherry, "Goodnight!" Morning, noon, or dusk doesn't matter, she very rarely says more than that word. It's been so long, In fact, no one remembers her real name, leaving Granny Goodnight her only identity.
In fact, Granny is a warlock who came into her pact late in life, having discovered an old journal hidden by the previous owner of her house. It looked even older than she was at the time, so feeling certain she wouldn't betray any living confidences, she read. Through the strange tale and the eldritch phrases imparted, she found herself confronted by and compacted with a Great Old One!
In truth, Granny only agreed in a desperate bid to save her own life, and the Old One's eldritch power proved too much for her frail form. With her mind shattered and body a rickety marionette half-serving the Master's will she's lingered for years as the village curiosity while trying to warn everyone she can. Goodnight actually means terrible darkness is coming that will never end, and with it comes the Great Old One!
She cannot explain this verbally, and arthritis coupled with palsy prevents her writing anymore. She could make use of her awakened mind ability but knows the Great Old One will be displeased if she betrays its plan. She also knows there's time to stop the worst from happening, and that five heroes (whom she identifies as the Pentacle) could save the day.
Granny: The Pentacle gathers, at last! All is not lost! Goodnight! Goodnight! Goodnight! Wyl: Okay. Well, um -- thank you, I guess?
Monster Slayers, Inc.
From accidental meeting at the sanctuary and startling encounter with Granny Goodnight, Dom and Wyl & Jaem led Alys and Gregor back to the inn for lodgings:
Gregor: Why are you seeking Markovina? Dom: Boys're hunting the Dark Carnival killed their parents. I'm after werewolves killed my own. Heard Markovina's a place we might learn something useful. Jaem: Hey, we're not boys! Gregor: Yes, you are. Wyl: What about you two? Alyss: He's hunting the incubus that murdered his sister. I'm mostly interested in the arcane, but monster slaying's good, too. Dom: How does one kill a demon? Gregor: I hope to learn that in Markovina, along with a means of tracking this Demon Lover. Jaem: You'll probably need a Saintsman, at least. Wyl: Maybe a relic, as well. Alyss: Do you have one? Wyl: Well, no, but . . . Jaem: He is a Saintsman, even so. Gregor: Then, you're volunteering to help slay the demon? Dom: Happen on him between here and Markovina, I don't think we'll have much choice. Any of us. Same goes for skin-changers, dark carnivals, and golbyns, far as I'm concerned. Gregor: Fair enough. Alyss: Wonderful. Now, all we need is catchy travelling name, like-- Jaem: Monster Slayers, Incorporated! Ezmer: (Refilling cups.) Monsters slayers, you say? Perhaps you lot could be of help . . .
Night Stalkers
Rousing from stupor even as his men returned him to encampment, the drunk Vistani leader placed a careless curse on Vor Ziyden which brought all its scarecrows to "life." They did run away and hide in the forest, in fact, but heavy winter snow and falling tree boughs crushed most of them months ago. Only three now remain to mindlessly follow instructions: remain unseen and cause famine. So, in the dead of night they come down from forest to field, scratch up and scatter any new-planted seed, then return into hiding before dawn.
Hiding at the edge of fields and waiting for the scarecrows to shamble out of hiding is easily accomplished and affords PCs the opportunity for distance attacks before scarecrows rush in for melee combat. Unless immolated, the collapsed wreck of each defeated scarecrow includes a randomly determined Ravenloft Trinket.
Distance attacks prove not very effective, given the scarecrows' resistance to non-magic weapons. Once they close to melee range, however, they prove unable to withstand Wyl's burning hands, falling into kindling as they burn.

can I just say that the characters positively come alive in your headcanons! You can really feel the individual charm of each nation! if it’s okay I’d actually like to request you do a character you secretly wish to receive an ask about ;) (if not then I’d love to hear about sweden)
skdjfhd thank you so much… the headcanon asks are really just for fun (and because i just love talking about dumb nation people sdkjfh) but it’s very kind of you to say, thank you 🥺
i’ve actually been secretly wishing to receive an ask about singapore (entirely self indulgent, i’m singaporean!) but i don’t think anyone’s going to request that since he’s not a canon character
i’ll do sweden’s headcanons first, and singapore’s will be under the cut!
SWEDEN:
what they smell like: he’s got a bit of the dry, freshly cut wood smell, mainly because he tinkers around with carpentry in his spare time
how they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): he sleeps late and wakes up early, and always has coffee first thing to tide him over for the rest of the day. unlike most of the nordics, he’s pretty still and doesn’t move around much in his sleep (he doesn’t dream a lot either).
what music they enjoy: he’s really into modern music, and he likes house and electro stuff like avicii and martin garrix. he also has an incredibly soft spot for abba (who doesn’t?), and it’s the one thing guaranteed to break him out of his shell on karaoke nights with the others
how much time they spend getting ready every morning: he’s very quick, easily 10 minutes or less. denmark likes to poke fun at him because he seems to alternate between three different outfits
their favorite thing to collect: wood carvings!! he collects mostly carvings of animals, and he has a whole row of them aligned along his TV stand
left or right-handed: right-handed
religion (if any): atheist, but he follows finland to church sometimes
favorite sport: table tennis! it’s something he plays indoors a lot, especially with finland and denmark. granted, he’s not very good at it, but he likes playing it nonetheless
favorite touristy thing to do when traveling (museums, local food, sightseeing, etc): he likes taking walks around the area to explore. he appreciates architecture, especially of older, historical buildings
favorite kind of weather: he likes warmer days, with clear skies and little rain when he can stargaze at night
a weird/obscure fear they have: he’s not superstitious, but he’s not fond of faeries or trolls or any other kinds of mythical creatures
the carnival/arcade game they always win without fail: whack-a-mole! he only ever plays because of sealand, but he’s surprisingly good at it
SINGAPORE:
what they smell like: honestly, he doesn’t have much of a smell. he spends most of his days in dry, air-conditioned areas
how they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): he tends to stay up late, but wakes up pretty early as well, and functions decently without much sleep. he snores a lot, which former roommates have complained about
what music they enjoy: he’s a complete koreaboo…. his playlist consists mostly of kpop and dance music, and his favourite artists include twice and blackpink
how much time they spend getting ready every morning: about half an hour, he spends quite a bit of time picking out what to wear every morning, and cares quite a bit about his clothes as a teenage nation
their favorite thing to collect: coins! he has a box of coins dating as far back to the 60s, including memorial coins and special edition ones. he likes to bother the other nations for their old coins as well
left or right-handed: right-handed
religion (if any): agnostic
favorite sport: swimming! it’s one of the few sports that he’s decent at
favorite touristy thing to do when traveling (museums, local food, sightseeing, etc): major foodie, and loves exploring street food. he’s pretty adventurous when it comes to his eating and likes trying out more outrageous stuff
favorite kind of weather: cold and chilly weather, bonus points if there’s snow. his house is summer all year round, and he rarely gets the chance to see snow. likes to visit korea during wintertime
a weird/obscure fear they have: hates mosquitos, and is incredibly susceptible to their bites anyway. carries around bug repellent whereever he goes
the carnival/arcade game they always win without fail: he’s very good at foosball, and has his own foosball table at home
weird headcanon asks!!

An ACNH Post
Just sharing a few new pics
First, my current favourite outfit. hee I’m a wizzerd. :D
That damn pointy hat cracks me up more than it should lolol
Putting the rest under a cut just for neatness’s sake
The little carnival I started back in this post has grown some -
I’m so happy with it! :D Next on the wish list for this are some cool lights of some kind. I ended up planting some pear trees near the carnival in its earlier stages and I thought I’d keep them there - that’s the tree lineup in the background. This lead to me naming it...the Pear Fair.
*badum-tsh*
Speaking of bad puns...look it’s my fave Star Wars character -
Haaaaaa I’m so funny
Moving on before someone shoots me, my island finally had its first meteor shower like a week ago. (Hence me being in my previous favourite outfit which I dubbed “vampunk”.) Here’s a special moment with Godzilla and I~
And another with the brachiosaurus I’m building by the museum. Ho boy, I hope that bright falling star doesn’t bring back any bad memories...
And lastly, I visited takamatsu-kun’s island the day before Bunny Day and lo and behold, the Able Sisters were selling Je.su.s togas and halos. So, you know, how could I not? A lil blasphemy on “Bunny Day” never hurt anybody. :D;;;; (The second picture is supposed to be me doing carpentry, because, you know...) Yes I’m also wearing the fish purse (thanks to taka <3).
That’s it until next time. Will try to do these more often so I’m not shoving so much into one post. Thanks for reading~!

"When didst thou decide for carpentry?” asks he, his voice softened like the bruising flower petal ready to fall off the stem. ‘Tis a broad, starry night behind the rolled-down windows of Roland’s familiar van, and the mattress at the back of the bed is soft and overlain with pillows, blankets, and with abstract stuffies won from carnival games, or as gifts from shops beside the shores of long, lonely roads.
He runs his fingers through sleep-matted hair, and hast craned his neck to look up upon those stars: winking as cheerful as eternal friends in this quiet, cold night. “Were thou the rough-handed babe gone to fiddle with the companions of trees?”
a series of nonverbal prompts .

7Happy birthday!!! What would you say was your favorite birthday experience?
When I was 9 years old my birthday party was “carnival themed.” My dad who was good at carpentry literally built booths my mom painted for “go fish over the side” and dart balloons and the duck pond. They rented a popcorn cart and a bounce house and it literally felt like THE best carnival/fair that ever was. Also all the decor/invites were super cute, but hands down it was the best birthday I’ve ever had.

Tell us about your d&d character!!
ooooo HELL YEA buckle your seat belts, cause its INFO DUMP TIME!!! thank you for this ask anon!!
ok so i have 2 i wanna talk about, Jellovar and Catara (i know you said one, but i love my characters dearly and cannot chose a favorite)
Jellovar! (he/him)
He’s my first ever dnd character, i made him just about a year ago and everyday i am discovering just how much of myself and my favorite characters i’ve drawn inspiration from to make him lol
He is a golden dragonborn ranger with a beastmaster subclass. He is 18 years old, 6′ tall, and has a wingspan of 6′! He’s got a tail and brown horns, as well as a pretty longbow as a his favored weapon! Jellovar is 100% a himbo, and i adore my dumbass son. He’s kindhearted and tries his best to see the good in others, and loves getting up to mischief with his housemate Irwin. He is aro-ace and will never understand the concept of flirting
Jellovar grew up in the outskirts of a small town called Greenflower that got attacked and burnt down by villains named Eoin and Afki, who actually put him under a mind control spell and forced him to set fire to the town. He was able to break free of the spell and fight back before being forced to flee the town. This event gave him fire-related PTSD, which is an interesting element to play with because his breath weapon is fire, he is resistant to fire damage, and lacks darkvision meaning he relies on torches or magical light to see in the dark.
Jellovar’s beast companion is a giant badger named Puff who he literally found in the garbage. Puff was rooting around in a dumpster outside the inn the party was staying at when he got attacked by the town’s guard dogs. Jellovar woke up to the commotion, leapt out the window, and saved Puff by distracting the guard dogs then taking Puff back into his room. I like to imagine the pair of them having a relationship similar to Hiccup and Toothless. Puff has become the party’s ESA and has also killed a few men, which I find hilarious and endearing. Throughout this campaign, i have gotten armor and clothing for Puff, which includes a cowboy hat with ear holes, leather studded armor inlaid with vines, and a tuxedo. I love this badger so much, and my dm tried to throw him into an abyss once
Currently Jellovar lives in a small townhouse with Irwin and Puff in the capital while working for The Hounds, one of the 3 main gangs in the city. We are about to start our next arc in the story, and I am very excited to see what comes next!!
Catara! (she/her)
She is a wonderful character!! I’ve played her for about 4 months now.
Catara is a 26 year old tabaxi bard (an asexual bard, I might add!!) with the markings of a snow leopard and light blue eyes. She is a musician, playing the accordion, gourds and vegetables, and the lute, and a dancer. Before she met the party she worked with a traveling carnival called The Grim Troupe. She travels the world with them, honing her musical skills in hopes of one day playing music for the King. Her weapon of choice is daggers, and fights with a very fun and versatile magical weapon!
Catara’s real tabaxi name is Melting of Snow, Snow for short, but took up the stage name of Catara to create a sense of anonymity about her life before joining The Grim Troupe. Only her family, those closest to her, and other tabaxi can call her Snow. She happy and bubbly in personality and is extremely loyal, almost to a fault, to those she cares about.
Catara joined The Grim Troupe to escape her mundane life and see the world, and tried to convince her younger sister Clouded Sky, Cloud for short, to join as well, but Cloud refused. After travelling for a few years, The Grim Troupe came back through her home country and town, so Catara visited with her family. Upon arriving, she discovered her sister had left home, and Catara has seen no sign of her younger sister since...
Catara joined the party under the pretense that she would be able to meet and possibly play music for the King, but that has not yet happened. The palace is mysteriously closed to visitors, and no one knows why yet. Still determined to reach her goal, Catara decided to stay with the party and adventure with them. Through her experiences with the party, nicknamed The Carpentry Guild, she has made a best friend, had to save said best friend from being kidnapped and almost killed, and has developed a fear of the dark. This wouldn’t be much of an issue because she has darkvision, but the party is currently traveling through the Underdark, so my girl is NOT having a good time
I have spent over an hour typing this out, so I hope you enjoy!! I will gladly talk more about these lovely characters if y’all would like to know more about them!
(and apologies for the wall of text, I do not have the energy to edit it to be more easily read)

Settling In
The World Beyond
"Do you think it'll stop soon dad?" Freddy and SpirngBear looked out at the surprise showers that ended their outdoor fun. "Doesn't look like it'll let up any time soon." "It's not going to stop until ten tonight." Mangle added from couch. The news was broadcasting a brief warning about the thunderstorm. Victor moaned like he was just refused dessert. "Victor, Why don't you show your cousins your room? I know you can find something to do there." "Oh! C'mon guys!" He hopped up and bolted down the hall. "We finally got our own TVs!" His room was painted a light pink with ninja themed bedsheets. The window faced the backyard and a toy chest under it doubled as a bench. Atop the dresser and scattered about the floor was various toys yet the clothes were surprisingly put away. The closet was converted to a cubby for the TV/gaming system. "Check out this new Violent figure I got!" The fox said as he searched the room. "We can pretend he's infiltrated a base of space cowboy wizard overlords!" "Wait, so the Wizards are Overlords of cowboys?" Goldie sat on his bed, kicking her feet as she watched him. "That's an oddly pacific thing to rule over." "I think it's more like they're wizards that heard Space cows." Freddy looked under the bed where some older adventurers were already abandoned and a remote. "Does it matter?" Victor asked as he threw aside a Charizard figure. "Kinda. Might help explain why he's here or what kind of facility he's breaking into." He flipped on the Cartoon Channel. "It's gotta be around here somewhere...I hope mom didn't vacuum his sword again..."
"Mom, I think some of my stuff was put in one of Nade's boxes." Penelope approached her parents in her brother's room. Nade was in the doorway watching them. "They were, I didn't want to waste the room. Should be in the tub." Phineas pointed at the largest box in the corner with a screwdriver. "Thanks dad." She pushed aside the boxes on top and popped the lid off. After collecting some books and DVDs in her backpack she returned to her room. Opened boxes piled against the wall with some contents spilled out but other than that it was put together. The television was on the table facing a couple of comfortable chairs and the bed was in one piece and she had stretched her white sheet over it before throwing the blankets on top. Some of her clothes and were put in the closet and her toys placed in a chest. Though it was nice to get so much done the rain was still an unpleasant surprise. "I wish I had some more time to enjoy the yard before they come back." She glanced out the window, wishing she could figure out who lived there. Were they the reason the former owners of her house moved? There must have been kids in this house at some point because of the tree and the wall color, were they run off? She didn't want to think about it anymore, but she was also tired of putting her things away. "Hey Nade?" He glanced around then peeked out her door. "Yeah?" Her brother answered still fiddling with an old Rubix cube. "Do you want to play a game?" "What game?" "Um..." She sorted through one of the boxes, taking out several types of card decks and video games until she found a board game he would play. "How about Life?" "Mmmmm, Nah." She wasn't too surprised or upset, she wasn't really in the mood for an unenthusiastic game with her brother. With a deep sigh she went back into her room. She searched through the movies shows in her bag but she'd seen them all so many times. She's played every game at least twice and the cable guy hadn't set up anything yet. Finally she just started doodling in her journal. Half the pages were filled with random writing and scribbling lines. There were also some more abstract drawings, big masses of black hole-esque scratching of lines were the carnage of doodled foes once laid. She flipped to a mostly clean page with an unfinished poem about dancing shadows was in the middle and a seemingly random string of symbols in the corner that once served as an answer to progress the game. She started to draw a raindrop but she ended up doodling an eye peeking through a rip in the page. Realizing she wanted to add fingers gripping the sides she started to scribble over one of the edges forming the appendage then colored in the face to match. Then added cracks that snaked all around the page swerving around the poem in case she decided to finish it one day. She kept adding more splits and curves. It was calming. Phineas pulled on the frame to test their craftsmanship. "I think we did a decent job." He leaned against the bed as he watched his wife stand up and stretch her back. "I'm not sure about you but I think that's enough carpentry for today." "Right, Let's just sleep on the air mattress tonight." He took the toolbox to the hall closet, placing it on a high shelf. He noticed his son looking up at him still sitting in the same spot. "Your bed is made, but don't forget to put some of your stuff up before you go to bed tonight son." "How much stuff?" He looked up from the finished cube. "At least put all your toys away." "Penny, How much have you gotten done?" Her mother saw the boxes in the corner. "Here, let's get some of the empty ones out of the way." The stacked and put them up in the attic for later use. "Shame the rain hasn't stopped. I know you were looking forward to exploring the yard." Phineas sat in the large recliner as he looked out the window to the darkness outside. "Yeah, but we can still have fun inside, if we can take a break for today..." His daughter crawled onto the seat and on his leg. "Why not? We got a lot done." "Oh, What a day." Neda sighed as she slumped on the couch. "I need a rest...Phin, what time is it?" "Four fifty two." He said glancing at his watch. "Feels later than that. It's almost dark enough to play Hide and Seek in the Dark, almost." "We can play a card game until it is." Their daughter slid to the ground and ran to her bedroom. "Can we play 21?" Nade suggested earnestly. "What about a board game?" Neda followed her looking at the selection she laid out. There was Candy Land, Life, Clue, Trivial Pursuit, and a special checkers and chess set. They left Monopoly at the old house. Nobody ever wanted to play that garbage, especially Phineas. "I think it's a good time to retire Trivial. I'm pretty sure your brother memorized all the answers..." "Mmm. We need a new board game..." "...Well, why don't we make one?" Neda looked around her daughter's room. "Didn't you save a lot of those supplies from that poster you made for science last year?" "Yeah," She ran over to one of the unopened boxes and cut it open with her claw. It was filled to the brim with art supplies including a folded up poster. They carried it into the living room. Putting the box at the foot of their coffee table and flattening the poster on top. "What should this game be about?" "Um, I don't know. ...A journey type board game? Those are my favorite." "Okay, where should it be?" "Going around a haunted theme park?" Phineas sat himself next to her. "We could have a ghost chasing the players if they land on a certain square." "That's a great idea. Put down a lot of ghost spaces, and maybe there could be a funhouse that's like shoots and ladders." "If you land on the Farris wheel you could get stuck and lose a turn." "Or you could lose the amount of turns you roll on the dice?" "Hm, Seems a bit much...We'll make that a rule if the game drags on too long." "Can we put a couple trains or gondolas to move the players across the board?" "Of course." "What about the carnival games?" "You can get something to move the ghost a few steps back, or move it closer depending on your roll." "And the haunted house could be a temporary trap for the ghost." "I don't know, wouldn't it make more sense for it to trap the player?" "I know! It could an instant kill if there's a ghost following you and it's only accessible if the coaster breaks." "Last person left wins, or should we add currency?" "Not now, we can always add something like that later." They each started to draw out their own corner of the map after writing down the rules. "That haunted house looks so spooky it's giving me goosebumps. Cobwebs are a nice touch." "Thanks Dad, we should add some spiders too." "Nade, those look like some fun game stalls." "Yeah, I thought the dunk tank would be a good addition." "The rust makes everything better. Makes it look old." "Phin, I think that's supposed to be blood and dirt." "Oh...Looks great!"
