Mulder about choices being right - referring to William and Scully giving him up for adoption?

The parkour in My Struggle IV

Mulder sees the missing parts of the gate, presumedly they go back into the church and speak to the priest who tells them about the family, that is why they come to speak to them. She didn’t say anything in confession, so he can tell them without breaking any confidence.

Should the scene have been shown, e.g. Mulder and Scully talking to the priest?

Same with the explanation as to how they found the organs. Scully mentioning the tracker and explaining how they let the organs be stolen. Instead of allowing us to see them do it.

Scully knowing Barbara Beaumont’s age based on a wikipedia with no birth date. Or does she know what year she was a child actress?

Making smoothies out of organs feels like a modern twist on one of the Dracula legends. The one about the Countess who supposedly drank the blood of young virgins.

How come only one of the attached seems to receive any benefit. The Dr. said that he had drained the body of nutrients, is it less like a flow and more like a pump, pumping the blood from the aorta into his body?

Barbara Beaumont so obviously flirting with Mulder in front of Scully, similar to Judy in Plus One. To the extent that she only addresses Mulder at times, the line about women having a little bit of mystery.

The last conversation in the church doesn’t make much sense, and it is interesting to see the way most have ignored the pain Scully has caused Mulder. One of the worst things about her leaving him, which I can ignore with just a couple of adjustments in every episode, is that she becomes yet another person who abandons him. It makes her no different, than his mother, father, Phoebe and Diana. You might even argue that Jerry Lamana did the same. Everyone also seem to return only when they need something from him and he never says no. The way David plays it when Scully asks if they are together. His attempt to find words, to compose himself, the hurt that flashes over his face as she seemingly dismisses him.

Mulder’s last line about how he always wondered how this was going to end, also doesn’t make much sense. What has ended?

Would be interesting to know if that was in the script.

Everything’s going so fast, where are the slow moments, the thoughtful shots, the establishing of atmosphere. And the thing I miss the most is Kim Manners favorite thing. Those extreme close ups of David and Gillian’s face being arranged in different ways close together in a scene.

It is difficult to say what has been lost through different directors. Kim wasn’t the only one who put their faces terribly close together. Rob Bowman did the same in The Field Where I Died, and both Kim and Rob did it for the mythology two-parter Terma-Tunguska, they each directed one episode.

They still look way too much at each other’s lips though. That might just be an actor thing.

They divide of the characters in Ghouli. Scully walking closer to the detective than Mulder. Compare to the Pilot where they walk close to each other while the detective is further from them. Was that deliberate to create the idea that even if they have recently met they have known each other longer than this small town detective? They can’t trust each other, but they certainly cannot trust him either.

Technology how proficient they are compared to season 10. Mulder managing to turn a phone into a receiver of Langely’s message in This, despite not having the full instructions. Searching the DarkWeb on his phone.

No summarising or actual paperwork for X-files solved.

Everything looking more expensive. Cars, phones, clothes. Who gave the FBI a bigger budget?

Lack of theorising from Mulder, and lack of banter.

No autopsies.

Season 10 and 11 making up one season of 16 episodes.

William B Davis was right about one thing when he wrote En Ami, he hadn’t gotten to act with Gillian, but there is a more interesting side effect of that and that is that Scully generally doesn’t get confronted with the mythology. She doesn’t make the choice because it is never presented to her with some exceptions in the Erlenmeyer Flask she bluffs her way into a facility and steals an alien embryo to give in exchange for Mulder - she was willing to steal and give away evidence of the truth they had been seeking and that people had already died for.

in Nisei and 731 she is confronted and led to believe that there are experiments but they are human in nature, leprosy colony and in Gethsemane she is told that the government gave her cancer to control Mulder. However, she is not given an option to save herself, Mulder asks Skinner to get him in contact with the Cigarette Smoking Man, but no one thinks to ask Scully if she would like to make a deal. Redux compounds this but once again making offers to Mulder, but never to Scully.

In Emily they once again have an opportunity to make a deal with her, but they don’t. They never offer to help her find Melissa’s killer either. In fact the only confrontation she had was with the Well-Manicured Man was when he explained that she was in danger. X refused to talk to her at all, and Deep Throat only did when there was no other option.

It is not that she is more honest than Mulder and Skinner, it is not that she is incorruptible but that she is seldom placed in a position where her corruptibility is questioned. In En Ami she shows herself being susceptible to what the Cigarette Smoking Man is offering, that is why she leaves with him. If she had been offered Melissa’s killer, a cure for her cancer, a cure for Emily who is to say she wouldn’t have accepted. She did it for Mulder. A biologist that she involved in the case died and she still exchanged the evidence for Mulder. In Paper Clip she asks Mulder to hand in the DAT-tape so that she can see Melissa again.

The Cigarette Smoking Man believes that he can control her through William, or the boy, as he calls him. However, Skinner thought he underestimated her devotion to Mulder. In Season 8 and 9 we are presented with the dilemma of choosing Mulder or William. She never makes the choice but she is at least presented with it. Krychek tries to force Skiner to make the choice, and Jeffrey gives the magnetite to William to stop the Cigarette Smoking Man’s plans.

William is not necessary to make a vaccine, Scully and Einstein use Scully’s blood to create one in My Struggle II, however, he appears to be necessary to save Mulder. When asked whether Mulder is immune we get a scene change before an answer is provided. The paternity issue presented by the Cigarette Smoking Man is for Skinner’s benefit. To lure him into working with him. Monica has already left by then. Mulder and Scully doesn’t seem to suspect anything, and so far they have not been presented with the possibility. (Ignore My Struggle IV at this time)

During the original run, in mythology episodes, the presence of cigarettes and cigarette smoke always indicated the Cigarette Smoking Man. The first time we see Skinner make a stand he has placed a non-smoking sign on his desk. Mulder finds cigarette butts in Krychek’s car after Scully’s abduction. In Wetwired, after Scully has become paranoid she checks the ashtray in the car to see if there are any cigarettes. Mulder assuming that something has happened and smelling the smoke off Skinner thus makes sense in the larger context of the show. Besides, Scully got attacked, Mulder feared that something was wrong and tried to contact Skinner.

One fraction is trying to kill Mulder, he will kill me, says the Cigarette Smoking Man the other Scully, the assassin was the same man Mulder followed to South Carolina, and who was sent away by Mr. Y. We don’t know if Mulder’s words about Scully being able to save everyone led to the attempted murder or if they always intended to get rid of her. They only offer William a seat together with Mulder. Which is odd because generally Mulder always gets offered something that in some way involves Scully: getting her back, being allowed to kill the men responsible for her abduction, the cure for her cancer, her life - the Cigarette Smoking Man expects Mulder to be grateful when he reveals Scully’s immunity in My Struggle II. Mr. Y and Erika Price seem to have another agenda when it comes to Mulder and Scully which makes them different from all the other people from the conspiracy that we have dealt with. The Original Syndicate kept Mulder alive to avoid him becoming a martyr.

RAMBLING 4

The X-Files, and its writes reluctance to portray Mulder as anything but an incidental father.

Scully confers paternity on Mulder at the end of Existence, not for the sake of Mulder, but for the audience. However, paternity is only established when she is willing, see Mulder’s line to Skinner about how it is up to Scully to reveal the father of the baby. The actors play as if though the characters have talked about Mulder being the father, see Scully telling Mulder about the people outside the house when she was giving birth, and his response that leads to him saying that they feared the possibilities. Implying that they’ve spoken about this, off-screen before. The difference between scenes in front of the camera, what they say and how they act and scenes off camera, that are later implied to establish a moment. David’s adlib about telling the kid he went down swinging.

Mulder’s paternity being revoked when he left, and cancelled upon William’s adoption. Scully continuing to be a mother, but Mulder no longer being a father. David’s absence necessitating a removal of Mulder from the story, highlighting Scully’s single parenthood, as well as life as a single mother that is available to be pursued, rather than one who is in a long distance relationship, or as her own mother a woman with an absent boyfriend/lover/significant other/partner.

The underlining of Mulder’s paternity existing only in relation to Scully by James Wong, through the episode Ghouli and in the interview he did about the episode, while undermining him as a father. Focusing on Scully as a mother, highlighting her choices and desires relating to motherhood while ignoring that such would exist for Mulder in terms of fatherhood.

Glen Morgan’s conversation at the end of Home Again detailing Scully’s fears, questions, regrets while ignoring that despite not being present when the baby was given away for adoption, not having a say if such a thing should be done, not needing to sign anything to make it happen, Mulder possessing those things as well.

The consistent undermining of Mulder as a father, the consistent underling of Mulder as an incidental father of Scully’s children, starting with The Jersey Devil in season 1, continuing in Home, Emily, Existence, Founder’s Mutation, Home Again and Ghouli.

The Jersey Devil - Scully wants kids, Mulder is suggested as their father

Home - Scully implying Mulder as a candidate for future children and he seemingly volunteering upon the subject being broached

Emily - Scully being a biological mother making Mulder the father. No paternity is ever established or explored, similar to Memento Mori when they say these are our mother’s but never talk about the fathers. Scully not conferring paternity on Mulder when the opportunity is given. Mulder not assuming parenthood when opportunity is given. Mulder written as a vengeful father, treatment of Scanlon, desperation of his actions. Mulder written as a father but only when Scully allows him, carrying Emily to the car, offering to stay at the hospital with her, bringing flowers to the funeral, staying beside her as she opens the coffin.

Alone - Scully excluding Mulder from knowing the sex of the child. The implication that there is something weird about him wanting to take her to lamaze class.

Existence - Scully naming William after Bill Mulder to establish Mulder as the father. Firstborn sons being given the name of their paternal grandfather.

Founder’s Mutation - Mulder denying missing William. Mulder comforting Scully when her maternity is being questioned and assuring her that it isn’t true. Mulder being at fault for not being a father, left William and Scully, didn’t need to sign adoption papers, denying missing William, shutting down the conversation on their son. His loneliness is his own fault.

Home Again - Scully talking about William, seeing William’s name. Children, creations being discarded by the one who created them. Scully being likened to them. Mulder not being a creator. Mulder not being a contributor, baring Maggie telling him she also has a son named William. The conversation on the log that is mostly Scully voicing her fears and regrets. The implication that answers pertaining to William, his life, his safety only belong to her.

Ghouli - Scully confessing to Jackson/William in the morgue. Establishing Jackson as their child through looking at her DNA. Paternity not needed to be established, see Emily. Mulder being allowed to comfort Scully, Mulder being allowed to stay with Scully in the hospital room, at the gas station. Messages meant for her being delivered to him when she desires. Messages only meant for her. Scully letting him in unlike in Emily. Not pushing him away at the crime scene, Jackson’s house. Jackson talking about his biological mother.

Nothing Lasts Forever - Scully assuming full responsibility over William, his being given up for adoption. Her fears.

Chris and others exploring Mulder as a father. Underlining Mulder as a father, baring who is your baby daddy storyline moments.

Per Manum - Establishing that Mulder and Scully tried IVF.

Three Words - The Lone Gunmen’s implication that Mulder needs to explain his partaking in a certain blessed event.

Empedocles - Mulder brining a gift. Conversation about being like a married couple. Guarding the door to Scully’s hospital room.

Vienen - Tell the kid I went down swinging - admittedly an adlib by David but still

Essence - Mulder not denying being the father but emphasising Scully’s right to tell. Krychek trying to get Skinner to kill the baby or Mulder. The father or the son have to die.

Existence - Scully naming William, Mulder holding the baby in her bedroom.

The entire season nine consistently establishing Mulder’s absence as being due to the father or the son needing to die. The super solidiers showing equal interest in Mulder and William.

Which means that entire storyline, possibly created to explain David Duchovny’s absence being made irrelevant if what the Cigarette Smoking Man said is true. Which for the record I don’t believe, he likes taking credit for other people’s work. I think Jackson’s belief is founded upon the mental connection the two have that I think is dependant on the brain matter stolen from Mulder in the Sixth Extinction episodes.

The End - Mulder talking about his son. The prosecution tormenting Scully with the existence of their love child undermining her as a witness.

I Want to Believe - Mulder talking about their son’s William’s absence causing them both pain.

MS I - Sveta telling Scully that she knows that the two of them have a child together.

MS II - Scully telling Miller that she and Mulder have a son, after establishing that Mulder cannot be saved with the vaccine.

MS III - Scully begging Jeffrey Spender to tell her where William is so they can save Mulder. Scully telling Mulder that they need to find William in order to save him, You need him and I need you. Mulder talking about his son with Mr. Y and Erica Price.

Plus One - Mulder and Scully talking about having another baby. Scully wanting to know if Mulder wants to have a child.

Ghouli - Mulder’s moment with Skinner saying that Jackson was his and Scully’s son William.

Familiar - Mulder telling Emily’s mother that he has a son but he’s grown now.

MS IV - Mulder telling William he is his father. William questioning this, because he doesn’t receive any visions from Mulder and doesn’t appear to be able to send to him either. William protecting Mulder from the goons and the Cigarette Smoking Man. Mulder lamenting not being a father. Scully putting Mulder’s hand on her stomach and telling him he’s a father because she is pregnant. William being necessary for the Cigarette Smoking Man’s plan, the man who has been established since MS III as prioritising killing Mulder. Not hearing whether Mulder is immune or not when Skinner asks the Cigarette Smoking Man in MS III.

Who renamed Jackson, Chris Carter or James Wong? Does the renaming mean something? Is it a hint that we should question Mulder’s paternity, William being named after his father, Fox Mulder’s father, William Mulder to ascertain paternity in Existence.

Paternity of William being an issue due to the implication of lack of consent. Would you be okay if Mulder wasn’t William’s biological father because Scully slept with another man while dating Mulder, tried IVF with someone different - someone else that she knew or an anonymous donor? Which method is preferred? What is more important Mulder being Jackson’s biological father or his creation being consensual?

Aubrey - The sheriff fathering BJ’s child being a plot point.

The mythology dealing with Mulder’s paternity, conferring Bill Mulder paternity through Teena Mulder while establishing that his biological father is C.G.B. Spender.

Talith Cumi - Establishing a connection between Teena Mulder and C.G.B. Spender to throw doubt on the paternity of her children.

Demons - Continuing to explore that connection, as well as implying that Bill Mulder did not father his children. (Never established if neither Fox nor Samantha was his. If Samantha was Bill Mulder’s that would make her Mulder’s half sister.)

Gethsemane - The government official helping Mulder and Scully being established as a father because they hurt his son in order to get to him.

Christmas Carol/Emily - Bill Scully Jr. being a father through Tara Scully being pregnant.

All Souls - Paternity being implied to explain the girls needing to die.

Carlena Britch’s character acting as if Mulder and Scully should feel sad that she will go to prison for her crimes by reassuring them that it was worth it. While they pretty much ignore and don’t look too bothered by the consequences of her actions. No personal relationship or sympathy having ever been established with either Mulder or Scully, but still being assumed in the scene.

No true connecting with the victim’s baring Familiar, losing a child, Emily Sims, William.

Playing favourites. Glen Morgan and James Wong’s favouritism of Scully, preferring to write her over Mulder. Glen Morgan’s exclusion of Mulder on the log, being mitigated by David and Gillian’s bond and his ability to act and connect with her while silent. James Wong’s exclusion of Mulder in Ghouli, being mitigated by David and Gillian’s bond and his ability to act while not being given any specific material and connect with her while silent.

Vince Gilligan being able to write for both as well as introducing a new character whose focus doesn’t take away from the established story with Brian Cranston’s character in Drive. Unlike Glen Morgan with Kristin Cloke’s Melissa Ephesian in The Field Where I Died. Vince Gilligan not playing favourites.

Darin Morgan’s reluctance to deal with the characters at all, ignoring most established facts to deconstruct the show while making fun of David Duchovny.

Glen Morgan’s need to torment David Duchovny in his scripts, making Mulder an Elvis fan, Home, Never Again.

Chris Carter not playing favourites, but sometimes letting his fatigue with the characters influence his script in Fight Club and his anger with David leading to him trying to kill Mulder through a brain disease.

RAMBLING 7

Real life and circumstances as well as limits influencing and limiting the episodes. A small budget leading to dark rooms, to avoid the bad CGI being seen and using the format of scaring through implication rather than seeing.

Using up the budget on Ice leading to Space being stock footage from NASA. Several rewrites and scenes being cut due to standards and practices.

Gillian being pregnant leading to Mulder and Scully’s separation and the closing of the X-Files to get Scully back to Quantico. Gillian being pregnant limiting her screen time in the beginning of season 2. Gillian getting pregnant leading to Scully’s abduction. Scully being shown pregnant during the abduction because Gillian was. Perry Reeves being hired for 3 due to being David’s real life girl friend and Chris hoping this would mean she would have chemistry with him since Gillian wasn’t available due to giving birth.

Mulder getting injured because David had twisted his ankle playing squash with Chris. X being changed to a male actor as the female actress they wanted wasn’t available. Truman Capote not playing the role of Jose Chung due to having been dead for 12 years when the episode was recorded. Mulder being an Elvis fan because David is not a fan. Glen Morgan’s wooing of Kristin Cloke leading to her prominent part in The Field Where I Died and his divorce informing Ed Jerse’s situation in Never Again.

Glen Morgan and James Wong choosing to have the Cigarette Smoking Man kill Frohike in their original script for Musing of a Cigarette Smoking Man because Tom Braidwood already had a job on the show as an associate producer. This busy week started off with some great filming news; Someone walked thru the set and saw Gillian Anderson reading her script... (X) We got a video of Brick from the make-up trailer! And a picture of Brick from the same trailer.

And then, it happened. THE PICTURE of MULDER AND SCULLY IN BED, CUDDLING!!!! According to the new BTS video... The screenshot is not the best, but we have one, at least. It is exactly what we would expect from CC. Mulder’s face is weird, Scully is completely under the sheet. Like literally not a single inch of skin can be seen. But her head is on Mulder’s shoulder and they are sharing a romantic moment. On a sofa. That’s all that we saw and of course, it went how it always goes...we had more questions than we had answers. One thing is for certain, tho. Many many people are gonna go after CC in a very violent way, in case this turns out to be another cheap trick... 😄😄😄 Anyhow, here are some theories and summaries:

Carlena Britch talks fighting "Supernatural" Jensen Ackles and Miriam

Supernatural’s Season 13 premiere, “Lost and Found,” was quite the emotional one; however, Carlena Britch’s role as Miriam added levity (c’mon, a drunk angel?) and a good old-fashioned Dean fight scene. If you haven’t read my review of the premiere, catch it here. You can also find some great holiday gift ideas for that #SPNFamily member who has everything here. To refresh your memory: Carlena plays Miriam, the “drunk” lady in the fast food restaurant that ends up being an angel, one that stabs Jack and in turn gets dusted by Dean. Carlena is not only an actress but a dancer as well – she has appeared in Lip Sync Battle dancing in that famous episode with Channing Tatum vs. his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum where Beyonce popped in, as well as Justin Bieber’s Believe. One of Carlena’s answers makes me wonder if we’ll be seeing Miriam again … Your character, Miriam, had quite the entrance – and the exit. What was your favourite part about playing her? I loved my initial unassuming entrance as a mere nuisance to the Winchester brothers plans. The initial shock in both the writing (and Dean’s face!) when Miriam comes back to kick some butt was super badass. What kind of background did Miriam have as an angel, that made her play the “drunk girl” so well? (Angels are notoriously, well, stuffed shirts.) Miriam’s got a sass to her that no wings or halo could tame, with a background full of pranks and clowning around. Needless to say, she’s got many tricks up her sleeve. Keep your eyes peeled! Tell us about the fight scene with Jensen Ackles. I understand that you broke something? Thankfully nothing was broken, (minus a few set pieces - sorry props!) but I did finish the episode with a minor fractured left thumb due to my own adrenaline taking over while filming. Jensen was a pleasure to work with, and we built a really awesome level of trust within all of the physical elements. How did you get into acting? I always felt as if I was acting, even onstage during my dance years. I naturally translated character and emotion into the movement and choreography I was doing. And, while filming my first movie, Disney’s ‘Camp Rock 2’, I knew that soon enough the same characters and emotions would exist on screen without the dance moves. How has being a dancer affected you as an actor? I am so comfortable in my own body thanks to 18 years of professional dance training, and I’ve been fortunate enough to translate my abilities into stunt work and martial arts over the last 2 years. Supernatural season 13 - HYPOTHESES/SPOILERS/STUFF

Can we talk about Supernatural? In fact, the titles of the episodes that have been released so far, because I have some things that I noticed and I need to tell...

Episode 1 is Lost and Found

Lost and Found is a common term. The title can be a reference to something or not and I’ll pretend they chose it because of the fact that we have many characters that are missing/dead right now and everyone is kind of lost.

But guys… I found a book called “Lost and Found”

It’s a children’s book and talks about a penguin and boy and the penguin appeared of nowhere in front of the boy’s house and he tries to help the penguin to find his home because he thought the penguin was lost.

But his home, in the end, was not where it was supposed to be.

The South Pole? Heaven?

The home was with the boy because the penguin wasn’t lost. The penguin was… Lonely.

Observations:

The episode is going to return exactly from where it stopped and we’re going to see Dean, Sam, Castiel, Jack, and Lucifer.

Also, there’s a guy. Rob Raco as Clark - new character - I thought at first he was going to be the guy that Misha said (beautiful and great) and he was (is?) playing a gay character in Riverdale. I was so nfjrefnerkfjnrfj that day.

Carlena Britch as Miriam - I hope she’s not evil.

Episode 2 is The Rising Sun.

The first thing that came to my mind is The Animals. Supernatural loves rock songs so it can be a reference and The House of the Rising Sun is like an anthem.

AND

There is a myth. Nobody really knows what happened inside that house. Some people think it was a brothel and others think it was a gambling house. Who knows? Maybe it's a new monster?

Look:

And it's been the ruin of many other poor boys

And god, I know, I'm one.

I hope this episode doesn't try to kill me with feelings because I have a Destiel fanfic with The Animals as the soundtrack, but anyway...

Now that I think more about it. Maybe it’s a house where you see your future. Tarot cards, magic and stuff like that.

Observations:

Castiel? No.

Mary? Yes. So we will probably see the AU. And I'm guessing this dude here - Ryan S. Williams as Commander - will be there.

Mark Sweatman as Tattooist - I think he knows Missouri and will talk about it to the boys. Also... Tattoos? New tattoos? AAAAAA.... I need it.

Jack and Lucifer? Yes.

Episode 3 is Patience.

Episode 4 is The Big empty.

I know what you’re thinking. My Chuck, Castiel is there. It’s not impossible. I’m just curious about why they chose “The Big” and not just “The Empty”.

I guess this episode will be about where angels go after they die because supernatural already talked about it and the actors also said something about a place that wasn’t explored before.

Observations:

Misha Collins said something about a great actor and beautiful too so... I’m guessing Niall Matter is the one? I think he can be a good “Buddy” to Cas. His name is written as Buddy. You see what I did there?

So I guess Castiel is really in The Empty. *sighs*

Episode 5 is Advanced Thanatology.

But hey what is thanatology?

Thanatology is the scientific study of death. It investigates the mechanisms and forensic aspects of death, such as bodily changes that accompany death and the post-mortem period, as well as wider psychological and social aspects related to death. It is primarily an interdisciplinary study offered as a course of study at numerous colleges and universities.

I’m such a nerd.

So, for some reason I remembered this:

Dean dies when Dr Robert injects him with something that kills him, in order to give him time to talk to Death. He is revived 7 minutes later. (6x11)

I’ll just leave this here because of reasons. I also think it will talk about mourning and sadness. I don’t know if Sam and Dean will be already traveling through AUs. But maybe it’s the beginning of the traveling.... My intuition also says something about someone visiting a grave?

AND maybe they will do that thing IN THE END where Dean looks at some place and he’s like:

I don’t know why the song “All by myself” started to play on my mind.

Episode 6 is Tombstone

Well... I’m just...

No words can describe my feelings. If they just talk about death, all this season will be so gothic that my years of Linkin Park and Evanescence will just come back.

Observations:

Team Free Will has been reunited once again since All Along the Watchtower.

oh... MY CHUCK. CASTIEL IS NOW DEFINITELY BACK SO PROBABLY HUGS.

I want hugs. Many hugs and kisses and people crying. Especially ME.

This is the first episode where Castiel physically interacts with Jack.

FATHER AND SON REUNITED. OK. I’ll STOP.

Episode 7 is War of the Worlds

HAHAHAHAHA I HOPE THEY DO IT.

Dean: You wrote your own ending, with spaceships. Marie: And robots, and some ninjas, and then Dean becomes a woman... It's just for a few scenes.

10x05 - Fan Fiction

Despite the second act with robots and tentacles, the show has everything: life, death, resurrection, redemption, but above all family, all set to music you can really tap your toe to.

Episode 8 is The Scorpion and the Frog

What is very interesting about this episode is the fable around the title.

A scorpion asks a frog to carry it across a river. The Frog hesitates, afraid of being stung, but the scorpion argues that if it did so, they would both drown. Considering this, the Frog agrees, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. When the frog asks the scorpion why, the scorpion replies that it was in its nature to do so.

I guess this episode is going to be about Jack or Lucifer and their evil (?) nature. You born evil or someone is just evil after growing up around the evil? What’s correct? You can be good if you want or your nature speaks louder?

"It is certain that no animal in the creation seems endued with such an irascible nature...I have seen them attempt to sting a stick when put near them; and attack a mouse or a frog, when those animals were far from offering any injury.”

It’s about trusting the enemy? About monsters again and if they can be good or bad?

Episode 9 is The Bad Place

Just google it. It talks about psychic kids and powers but also about incest and hermaphroditism. HOLY SHIT.

The title of the episode is a reference to the 1990 horror/suspense/mystery novel of the same name written by Dean Koontz.

Frank Pollard wakes up in an alley at night, filled with confusion and fear. He knows nothing but his name, and that he must escape fast, or else he will be killed. Pursued by a mysterious assailant, Frank barely escapes with his life.

Every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up to find evidence of bizarre nighttime travels which he cannot remember. Afraid of his own actions, Frank enlists the help of husband-wife security team, Bobby and Julie Dakota. At first, the case merely seems absurd, but as they track deeper into the life and past of the mysterious Frank Pollard, the Dakotas uncover an increasingly bizarre and dangerous world threatened by a madman who thirsts for blood.

It is ultimately revealed that Frank Pollard is the brother to the mysterious madman as well as twin sisters. They were born from a mother who was the product of an incestuous relationship. Her father was a hallucinogenic drug-abuser and her mother was his sister. She is a hermaphrodite and impregnated herself with her own seed. ?????? As a result of this compounded inbreeding, Frank and his siblings developed unusual psychic abilities. Frank, wanting a normal life, tries to escape from his family while being pursued by his brother who seeks to either bring him back or kill him, and nothing will stand in his way. After a message from Julie's younger brother, who has Down Syndrome and possesses minor psychic ability himself, Bobby, Julie, Frank and his family begin speeding into a final confrontation.

I’m afraid of this episode. No more comments.

All you need to know about Episode 10 - Wayward Sisters is that Patience is back and also Claire, Alex, Donna, and Jody.

Episode 11 is The Midnight train

The title of the episode could be a reference to some of the lyrics of Journey's 1981 hit, Don't Stop Believin'.

There’s not so much out there about this episode but I think we are going to see villains that we have already seen. Redundant.

Episode 16 is Scoobynatural

Team Free Will? Yes.

I hope what people said about Dean trying to make out with Daphne is not correct but if it is I hope Fred wins. Because Fred and Daphne are the ultimate ship.

“ACERCAMIENTO AL FENÓMENO RELIGIOSO HABLAR EN LENGUAS”. CASO: MINISTERIO INTERNACIONAL ROCÍO DEL ESPÍRITU SANTO.

El cristianismo como religión de amplitud global se encuentra ideológica y estructuralmente dividido en diferentes Iglesias con formas distintas de interpretación sobre las creencias propias y los métodos de adoración aplicados en el seno de cada organización en particular. Encontrándose asociadas en el supuesto de Cristo como centro de vida y la evangelización como el mandato dejado a los creyentes para la propagación del mensaje sanador.

La Iglesia: Ministerio Internacional Rocío del Espíritu Santo (MIRES) es una institución religiosa de abarque internacional con asiento en Estados Unidos, Panamá, Rusia y Aruba además de una sede formal en Venezuela; ubicada en la Urbanización Santa Sofía - El Cafetal - Municipio Baruta del Estado Miranda; dirigida por el Pastor: Eleazar Varela; con una asistencia de aproximadamente 6000 miembros. En esta organización se imparte un modo de vida estructurado en la creencia profunda en cristo como ser supremo y la adopción de los lineamientos establecidos en la biblia como texto sagrado e inviolable. Siendo común la práctica del “don hablar en lenguas” que consiste en un regalo del espíritu santo hacia algunas personas, donde se obsequia la capacidad de poder manifestar de forma oral alabanzas y designios en idiomas desconocidos que el espíritu santo manifiesta a través del individuo que vive dicho encuentro espiritual.

Es este sentido la presente investigación se planteó con la finalidad de adentrarse en la comprensión de dicho fenómeno religioso; poco estudiado; en aras de ampliar los conocimientos que se tienen del mismo, a través de una aproximación cualitativa etnográfica; estableciéndose los siguientes objetivos:

Objetivo Principal: Analizar la percepción de los miembros de MIRES acerca del fenómeno experimentado durante el proceso denominado “hablar en lenguas”.

Objetivos Específicos:

- Conocer la opinión de los miembros de MIRES sobre las causas y consecuencias del “Don hablar en lenguas”.

- Observar los comportamientos y expresiones corporales de los miembros de MIRES al “hablar en lenguas”.

- Estudiar el contexto en que se desarrolla el fenómeno religioso denominado “hablar en lenguas”

En concordancia con lo anteriormente expuesto esta investigación se desarrolló con evidente énfasis en el develar los trasfondos del fenómeno religioso hablar en lenguas; teniendo como aliados directos para el acceso a la información a miembros del Ministerio Internacional Rocío del Espíritu Santo, considerándose en congruencia, a éstos como las personas más idóneas para dar a conocer todo lo que no encontramos explícitamente en relación a la ocurrencia de éste proceso espiritual.

REFERENTES TEÓRICOS:

Para los miembros de MIRES; la ocurrencia del don de hablar en lenguas; obsequiado por el espíritu santo, tiene un aval bíblico manifestado en el libro de los Hechos: (Hechos 2:1 al 4): “Los apóstoles salieron y compartieron el Evangelio con las multitudes, hablándoles en su propia lengua, “Les oímos hablar en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios”. Argumentando así que dicho don constituye un acto de regocijo y entrega mutua con Dios en el fortalecimiento de su palabra por toda la tierra.

En opinión del pastor Aníbal Gómez sobre la experimentación del don de hablar en lenguas:

“Cuando el espíritu santo cae sobre sobre nosotros, ésta es una de las manifestaciones, lo que no quiere decir que las otras personas no tengan el espíritu santo, pero ésta es una de las manifestaciones de que nosotros podemos experimentar cuando el espíritu santo puede tocarlo a uno; ok?... éste es uno de los dones Así como también lo puede ser el don de interpretación de lenguas”.

Al abrir esta nueva categoría de: Interpretación de lenguas; se especifica en un don similar, pero; entendiendo que al hablar en lenguas la persona no es consciente de lo que dice, teniendo en cuenta que no existe un conocimiento del idioma o lengua pronunciada en ese momento, a diferencia del don de interpretación de lenguas donde el individuo en cuestión logra entender claramente lo que está diciendo al recibir al espíritu santo.

Por otro lado una miembro de MIRES (identidad desconocida) argumentó la existencia de dos tipos de lenguas:

“hay dos tipos de lengua; están las angelicales y las terrenales, las terrenales son en las que se puede hablar en otro idioma, esas yo todavía o sea yo nunca las he hablado; sólo las angelicales que yo no sé lo que estoy diciendo pero el espíritu de Dios si sabe”.

Igualmente el don de lenguas se encuentra relacionado con la Xenoglosia que se concibe como: “un supuesto fenómeno paranormal, que corresponde a la habilidad de poder hablar o escribir un lenguaje no familiar para un individuo”.

También en información suministrada por la página web: Got.questions.org se explica la glosolalia como: “la pronunciación inteligible de sonidos parecidos al lenguaje mientras se está en un estado de éxtasis”. Siendo interesante en este punto comparar la visión netamente religiosa abordada hasta ahora con esta perspectiva que nos facilita una visión alternativa, induciendo un proceso de posible sugestión a través de la fe; en relación con el fenómeno hablar en lenguas.

MARCO METODOLÓGICO:

En la realización de ésta investigación se contó con dos informantes que facilitaron la ejecución de un trabajo de campo más preciso y aplicado en momentos clave. Teniendo en cuenta que estas dos personas son miembros del Ministerio Internacional Rocío del Espíritu Santo, contribuyeron a facilitar horarios de servicios de sanación y recomendaciones sobre qué lenguaje, vestimenta y actitudes serían las más adecuadas a usar al momento de ingresar en la institución para realizar el trabajo etnográfico. Siendo tomada una muestra al hacer observación participante de aproximadamente 10 personas cuando se encontraban experimentando el fenómeno religioso hablar en lenguas y 4 personas en el desarrollo de entrevistas, seleccionándose dos pastores y dos miembros que asisten como creyentes.

En opinión de Arias (2012): “La entrevista más que un interrogatorio, es una técnica basada en un diálogo o conversación cara a cara, entre el entrevistador y el entrevistado acerca de un tema previamente determinado, de tal manera que el entrevistador pueda obtener la información requerida”. En ésta investigación se utilizó cómo técnica de recolección de información: la entrevista: Considerándose ideal para tener una aproximación detallada sobre lo experimentado por diferentes miembros de MIRES al recibir al espíritu santo; facilitándose la libertad a los entrevistados de contar con amplia libertad su experiencia particular en relación al fenómeno: hablar en lenguas. En aras de tomar dichos testimonios como una fuente allegada a la realidad colectiva de la organización. Es importante destacar que las cuatro entrevistas realizadas fueron grabadas en notas de audio; informándose a las personas participantes el fin último de la investigación y la completa confiabilidad de lo expresado.

De igual manera según Mayan (2001) la observación participante: “es una estrategia fundamental dentro de la etnografía. Esto permite tener una perspectiva interna del escenario, busca señales de los valores e hipótesis de la cultura del grupo. Esta estrategia ayuda a obtener información”. En relación a lo expresado por el autor; en el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizó también la técnica de la observación participante; en aras de poder acceder a un análisis minucioso sobre todo el contexto en que ocurre el fenómeno espiritual conocido como: hablar en lenguas, generando una perspectiva más amplia y rica en información.

CONCLUSIONES:

La realización de la investigación en líneas generales fue un proceso verdaderamente fructífero y de cómodo acceso a la información requerida; desarrollado a través de 3 visitas a la sede eclesiástica durante dos servicios de sanación y uno dominical. Al entrevistar a los 4 miembros inicialmente fue notoria una especie de celo para hablar del tema; estando presentes en los 4 encuentros las preguntas “¿Crees en Dios?; ¿Por qué estás haciendo esto?; ¿eres cristiano?; ¿has venido antes a algún servicio…” Motivo por el cual la justificación expuesta hacía énfasis en que además de estudiar lo experimentado durante “el momento espiritual hablar en lenguas”, era el inicio de una propuesta investigativa para mostrar la importancia de la fe como un factor de desarrollo ante el panorama difícil del país. Aclarado que éste no constituye un objetivo; pero fue una estrategia para lograr un estado más armónico y transparente.

Los testimonios arrojaron la existencia de dos dones diferentes: “don de hablar en lenguas” que hace referencia al recibimiento del espíritu a través de palabras desconocidas y el “don de interpretación de lenguas” que constituye la capacidad dada por el espíritu santo de entender y poder transmitir lo que dicho ente inmaterial quiere expresar. No se conoció a ningún miembro con el don de interpretación de lenguas. Igualmente una miembro que prefirió no especificar su nombre, señaló la existencia de lenguas angelicales y terrenales; siendo las primeras las habladas por los cuatro miembros en las que la persona desconoce el significado de lo que dice y las terrenales que están estructuradas bajo algún idioma formal terrenal por lo que la persona conoce lo que está diciendo a pesar de quizás no manejar el idioma usado.

Sobre cómo se da este “momento espiritual” la pastora Carlena Gómez expresó: “la palabra de Dios dice que todos podemos tener esta manifestación, sin embargo sólo para el que crea es posible; cuando creemos que esto es posible entonces se puede tener una manifestación una vez hemos creído y hemos sido tocados y llenos por el espíritu santo”… En igualdad de argumentos otra miembro manifestó “ el Don de hablar en lenguas primeramente me vino por promesa; como lo dice la palabra: viene por promesa y hay que anhelarlo; en un principio tenía dudas, dudas que fueron sembradas por el mal y me costó ehhh… estee… pedirle ese don a nuestro padre celestial”… Por su parte el pastor Aníbal Gomez expresó: “un poquito escéptico de esto, porque no todo el mundo como que lo puede recibir de la mejor manera.. ehhh también orando se lo pedí a Dios y pues es real!.. Yo estaba solo en mi habitación, en esa intimidad ahí fue donde el me tocó y es como que el dándome esa respuesta de que si existe”. También la joven Dayana Rubio afirmó: “En ese momento en que tuve como ese encuentro con Dios, o sea, no me lo esperaba porque son cosas que pasan de forma sobrenatural en nuestras vidas y estee.. (Pausa larga) no creí en eso hasta que uno lo vive este y uno ve que realmente es Dios en nuestras vidas y en nuestros corazones”.

En análisis de lo anteriormente expuesto a través de los relatos de las diferentes entrevistas puede extraerse la exigencia de un estado de absoluta creencia para poder vivir el fenómeno; siendo pertinente indicar que no es un requisito estar bautizado, pues “una persona sin este paso de fe puede también recibir al señor en su espíritu”- como lo argumenta otro miembro.

Al momento de realizar la observación participante, en las personas que estaban atravesando el proceso; fue apreciable la manifestación de expresiones corporales y gestuales que acompañaban la pronunciación incomprensible de palabras rápidas que a simple entendimiento se muestran como carentes de sentido. Algunos lloraban, también se producían movimientos de repetición y exaltaciones corporales; especialmente en las manos eran apreciables temblores pronunciados.

Es importante destacar como el “servicio” inicia con aproximadamente 10 minutos de oración pasando luego a la alabanza; donde un cantante y varios bailarines amenizan. Después a un espacio de reflexión con música suave y es allí donde se comienza a orar en un escenario de fuertes súplicas, agradecimientos, y voluntades de fervor por parte de los feligreses. Con bajones leves a la intensidad de la luz, como una medida considero favorable para la concentración de los allí reunidos. Es precisamente en este punto de la jornada que se presenta el fenómeno hablar en lenguas en diferentes personas del recinto; siendo notoria la minoría de personas que pueden apreciarse viviendo el momento en comparación a las que se mantienen en un estado de oración sin hablar en lenguas.

En la primera visita fue donde hubo mayor presencia del fenómeno; siendo necesario resaltar que en este servicio a diferencia de los otros dos fue el pastor cabecilla de la organización quien dirigió la ceremonia y durante su prédica pidió en reiteradas ocasiones y con un tono de voz de exigencia a los presentes “hablar en lenguas”. Durante la realización del servicio dominical, por el contrario se evidenció mínima presencia de creyentes experimentando el fenómeno; esto podría deberse a que la intensidad de oración los domingos, desde la perspectiva del investigador es menor; frente a la naturaleza del escenario presente los días martes en el “servicio de sanación”. En el segundo servicio de sanación se presentaron en mayor medida casos del fenómeno; siendo importante describir cómo en pleno momento de reflexión la pastora y cantante que estaban desarrollando el encuentro, hablaron en lenguas por periodos muy cortos de aproximadamente 5 a 10 segundos.

En otro orden de ideas; es menester señalar que en el recinto pudieron apreciarse en mayor cantidad personas que lucían ropas aparentemente costosas en concordancia con una posible ubicación en estratos altos de la sociedad; frente a un pequeño grupo de personas que desde su vestuario mostraban un ropaje que puede reflejar situación de pocos recursos socio-económicos.

Además resulta como dato curioso las características fenotípicas de los pastores y cantantes que ejecutan sus funciones en el escenario; siendo éstos de contextura delgada, mayormente de piel blanca y con una imagen agraciada y bastante moldeada a los estándares de belleza de la sociedad venezolana. Aclarando de igual manera que a diferencia de otras religiones de la línea cristiana en MIRES no existen restricciones o patrones de vestimenta o imagen hacia los miembros de su comunidad, como en el caso de los “Pentecostales” para quienes las mujeres deben usar solo faldas largas y evitar cortarse el cabello.

Finalmente en una aproximación directa hacia las personas entrevistadas al pedirles que englobaran en una palabra la sensación experimentada al hablar en lenguas sus respuestas fueron: “paz, avivamiento y piedad”. Narrando en todos los casos que es un encuentro de emotiva calma, donde pareciera trascender a otro plano.

En conclusión esta investigación cualitativa etnográfica buscó examinar no sólo lo declarado por miembros que han experimentado el ya mencionado fenómeno de hablar en lenguas; sino además permitir un acercamiento hacia las diferentes pautas culturales que rodean dicho encuentro de tipo espiritual. Siendo fundamental aclarar que el objetivo trazado no corresponde con una intención valorativa sobre la prueba o certeza científica de éstas prácticas; cuestión que más adelante podría abarcarse a medida que vaya evolucionando lo arrojado intrínsecamente por la investigación en si misma.
