I know that this blog is dedicated to Carl and Ghost, and at first this will seem unrelated, but... okay, so one of my other all-time biggest on-screen crushes is John Kramer/Jigsaw from the SAW series, played by the immensely talented Tobin Bell. For those of you who don't know him, here he is in SAW II:
Tumblr media
Anyways, so I always knew Tobin as a silver fox. I didn't really think of what he might have looked like back in the day. Then one day he shared a photo of himself at 17 on social media and, well...
Tumblr media
I guess I've got a type? 😂 😂 😂

Video
youtube
This was recommended to me by @patrickswayzeblog AGES ago, and I finally got around to watching it. I knew a lot of these, but some were brand new to me, and a few were genuinely shocking.
The reviewer, Minty Comedic Arts, has a really good take on what makes this movie so special, and his humorous and enthusiastic style of speaking is fun and engaging. Definitely worth a watch. (FYI: the last 5 minutes or so of the video—12:22 and on—are completely unrelated to Ghost, but still pretty funny.)
The biggest thing I took away from this video is just how well the stars aligned for Ghost. There were so many things that could have changed the film entirely—the stellar actors cast as the leads, Demi Moore’s now-iconic tomboyish hairstyle, and even the entire genre, might have been different! Instead, a hundred tiny coincidences combined to create this one near-perfect moment in cinematic history. The making of Ghost seems like it was almost as much of a miracle as the story the film tells onscreen. The tagline “You Will Believe” has gained a new dimension of meaning for me.

Which education theorists could I beat in a fight
So yeah, that meme was a thing, and as always I’m late to the party but hey, I’m sick and kind of out of it and this is how it would go down if I was to fight the major education theorists:
IVAN PAVLOV - damn right I’m fighting Pavlov, and Im gonna win. Teach that bitch a lesson, then feed him to his dogs.
LEV VYGOTSKY - poor, frustrated Vygotsky. I shall not fight you. The battle within you is enough.
JEAN PIAGET - too quick, too clever. Knows what I’m going to do before I do it. A dangerous man. To be avoided.
JEROME BRUNER - the logical next step from MACOS is MACOP; Man: A Course Of Pain. Beware my spiralling fists of education you breakable centenarian.
ABRAHAM MASLOW - keep working on the hierarchy of needs pal, right above self-actualization should be ‘decent health insurance’.
B. F. SKINNER - kept a razor blade in his shoe for 'emergencies’. A wild card, could go either way.
A. S. NEILL - too strange, too creepy, just as likely to attempt a massage as to defend himself. I shall not fight you strange dreamer.
ÉTIENNE WENGER AND JEAN LAVE - as a team they would gain the upper hand and defeat me. Independently, I would triumph, but the emotional toll would be great. These are thoughtful types, do not deserve my wrath.
CARL ROGERS - a good egg, I will shake him by the hand and stand down. Besides, he would almost certainly best me with his piercing analysis of my neuroses.

He remained primarily a stage actor throughout his career, and translated a number of plays from French to English. He also made appearances during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s in such series as Perry Mason, The Untouchables, Crossroads, The Californians, Rescue 8, The Twilight Zone, The Roaring 20s, The Rifleman, Death Valley Days, Gunsmoke (in 1957 as “Lou Staley”, brother to the title character & angry killer in “Mavis McCloud”, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Batman (episodes 35 and 36), The Monkees, Gidget, Laverne & Shirley, Dragnet, Combat!, The Munsters, Laredo, Kate and Allie, and Get Smart, in which he had a semi-recurring role as CONTROL's lab scientist, Professor Windish.  Among Cornthwaite's last television works was a recurring role as a man with Alzheimer's on the series Picket Fences.  (Wikipedia)
