no one talks about how the main plot driver for season two of buffy the vampire slayer is that angel genuinely got the soul fucked out of him by buffy. like. that’s what happened. im generalizing a little bit but literally the sex was so good it made him the happiest he’d ever been and his soul fell out as a result. pussy so good it makes you evil. and you as the viewer are supposed to take this seriously. “erm well technically he was just so happy being with buffy-” ok well then the post nut clarity knocked his soul out. still hilarious. check mate.

Since I was little kid, I always imagine there's spinoff about well adjusted Connor after Angel tv show. Whole world wants to see more of well adjusted Connor as much as I do. Like everybody wants to see his normal life with his adoptive family (The Reilly Family, his adoptive parents Laurence Reilly and Colleen Reilly, his adoptive aunt, and his adoptive sister) and his new friends in his college Stanford University. His new girlfriend around his age or same age as him. Continue fill his destiny of being real champion to help people after killing Sahjhan and help his biological father Angel. Bonding with his biological father Angel and his favorite surrogate uncle Spike. Bonding with his three mothers ghost of his biological mother Darla, his surrogate mom Cordelia Chase and his adoptive mother Colleen Reilly. Connor deserves to have spinoff tv show.

I know the show over but imagination lives on to create fanfiction. People will create good fanfiction for Connor spinoff after Angel tv show.

Had a dream while napping about an episode of Angel where they're running low on rent so Cordy signs Angel up to be the villain for the pilot of a new TV series. The catch is is that Angel has to be shrunk and live in the set - a dollhouse - for a week. There's a bit of "No I won't/Yes you will" until he finally agrees and so he gets shrunk down. Then there's a bit of filming fluff, and then Angel takes the whole villain thing to heart and writes/records an unprompted monologue about self-acceptance that BLOWS UP because everyone loves it so much. When Cordy and the producer go to tell him the news, they find him fistfighting the hero of the new tv show because the guy called him short.

They do seem to be laying it on thick.

It seems to me that a studio wouldn't float the idea of a spin-off in an official press release if they weren't serious about doing it. Usually, a spin-off based on a single character is considered after the network sees a positive response to a guest or likes what they see on screen.

Just look at Angel, who wasn't considered for a spin-off until Season 2 of Buffy. There are other examples (some more recent, like Better Call Saul, or The Good Fight).
