I think there's a lot of negative connotations around being a ghost - like, loneliness, pessimism, lurking in the background where no one will see, etc etc

and I get that!! I really do!!! That's initially what made me think I was ghostkin!!! I remembered my own freaking death!!!!! That has exactly 0 positive connotation!!!!!!!

But at the same time!!! I am a SILLY CLOWN who dresses in BRIGHT DECORA, not cool, flowy nightgowns or pale achromatic colors, I try to be social even when it's hard and my anxiety or depression takes over, I try to be a light in the fog, not assimilate to it in an attempt to be more as my kin

I wish others were like this. It honestly kind of annoys me whenever I see a ghost carepack or whatever and everything's black and white and gloomy. Like, I get theming and all, but,. still?

A Fic I Will Write... Someday

I guess this is my answer to @clockwayswrites's 'fic I'm not writing', because I absolutely WILL write this... some day.

See, I did some googling for [reasons] and learned that not only was I right that Bat's has died, the B-man has died (canonically) around a dozen times. Some of them were alternate Earths or whatever, but still. I'm starting to think it's not HOOD whose the really halfa...

Danny couldn't stop staring. He needed to say something, soon, or the angry Bat whose haunt he had invaded would do something very unpleasant to him.

But really, unpleasant things happened all the time to him. It wasn't everyday he found out that his parents were actually /right/ about something. Well... half right.

Of course, he found it by invading the city-sized haunt of a halfa whose obsession was protecting said haunt.

It was an obsession Danny could respect. Really! But---

His thoughts cut off as Batman grabbed him by the collar and yanked him off his feet. "Urk!"

"Who are you, and what are you doing in my city?"

"I'm no one! I promise. Just passing through! I just needed a place to lie low for a week or two, then I was moving on."

The fist tightened.

"But... but I can move on tonight if you want? I don't want trouble, I've got enough of it already, promise!"

"Who are you hiding from?" Damn, no wonder everyone talked about how scary Batman was when he was angry. That was a hint of Ghostspeak peaking between the English words.

"No one, I just..."

That got him a shake. "I will know if you lie."

Fuck. Fuckity fuck fuck. What he wouldn't give for a toaster right now. Or a battalion of hotdogs.

Because he was pretty sure the guy could.

"I... look, it's my parents. They're bigots and they want to kill me for being... well, this." He spread he arms and did his best to look defiant. "I wouldn't have come here if I'd known you were anything but another caped asshole. Didn't meant o intrude. Promise. Just... Let me get the hell out of here, okay? You don't want them coming after you too."

One day, Danny would give himself a chance to revel in the knowledge that there was another halfa -- one living a life he wanted. One day he'd stop running long enough to send this guy a carepack. Some ecto as an apology and a detailed write up on the anti-ecto acts. That new Justice League thing the Bat had apparently been in on might actually have the juice to do something about that.

Right now he just wanted to find a place he could lick his metaphorical wounds in peace. (The actual wounds, thankfully, were already healed.)

Something softened in the other halfa's face. "Your parents are trying to kill you?" The GhostSpeak was gone from the hero's voice, and he gently set Danny back on his feet. "I'm guessing you wouldn't want to tell me your name, then?"

"You're... not kicking me out?"

"No. I don't like other supers in the city because it has a tendency to drive them mad. And we've got enough of that already. But you are telling the truth, and a couple of weeks shouldn't hurt."

"Oh... thank you."

The Bat dug into his belt and pulled out what looked like a mini version of those car mounted cell phones rich folks were starting to get.

"This works like a walkie-talkie. Call me if think your parents are in the city, and I'll help you get away from them."

Danny blinked and took the odd device. "Why are you helping me?"

Batman looked away, at some theater across the street, and said, "No one should have to run from their parents."

Timeline info: Danny is 19, was discovered by his parents during high school graduation Bruce is 26, took up mantle of Batman last year JL was formed a few months before Bruce and Danny met. Story is set in the late 80s. There WILL be setting standard homophobia and other social issues. When I travel I always ask for a few additional toiletries then this is what I do when I get home. I take some dollar store loot bags, bundle them up, and give them out to our homeless community. I do this with the stuff the hospitals give me as well (individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, small deodorant, powder, etc.) then I buy razors, and female sanitary products to add in. When I'm in the financial position to, I also throw in a few bucks or a gift card for food or coffee. People often don't realize that once in your room these unused supplies often go in the trash for liability purposes when we could be giving them away to those in need. It may not seem like much but when you don't have the luxury of showering whenever you want, having a clean shaven face (or legs!), or even a toothbrush and toothpaste for basic hygiene...these are as good as gold! So if you're a frequent traveler I ask that you keep this in the back of your mind. Nearly every community has a homeless population so I suggest you find out where, and put your own care packs together for your community. And if you don't have homeless people in your area, there is always the option to ship your blessing bags making this movement far bigger than us and our immediate area. At the end of the day... Pick a ‘sick room’: The ill person should remain in a Bedroom with a door if at all possible, rather than come out except to go to the toilet. Nobody else should spend time in that area more than absolutely required. Kids and pets should remain out.

Pick a ‘sick bathroom’:If you have two baths, Make one of them the ill person’s toilet, and don’t let anyone else use it. If you don’t have 2, you’re going to have to clean every surface they touch once they go to the bathroom, so it’s clean when you or other people you live with should utilize it.

Do not let them take more than the recommended dose of any Medication. Keep track of what the sick person has taken and when.

Keep them comfortable:Be certain they have blankets and pillows, magazines, books, and a computer or TV to pass the time, and a charger to get their phone near their bed, so you don’t have to go in and out of the room. Keep silent so that they can sleep.

Assist them with meals, but keep your space: Find a tray which you could use to make them food or drinks when they need it. Put the food and beverages on the tray, and place it outside their door. Walk away. They could open the door, get the tray, eat in their area, and then put the tray back to the ground outside the door and close it.

If they can’t get out of bed:Wear a mask or cloth over your mouth and nose when you move in their room, and also have the patient cover theirs too. Bring their food and beverage to their bedside table, and go back after a while to pick it up again, wearing a mask or cloth again. Wash their dishes thoroughly with hot soap and water. Do not touch your face after handling their dishes, and wash your hands completely once you touch whatever they ate or drank from.

Maintain their laundry separate: Make sure they have a basket in the sick room. Have them place it out their door when it is full, or put on a mask or cloth over your mouth and nose when you go in to get it. Wash their clothes, bedding, and towels separately from anyone else’s.

Cleaning: Go through your whole home and use disinfectant spray or wipes to wash everything the sick person might have touched when they had been in the early phases of becoming sick. This includes tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, switches, handles cabinets, refrigerators, desks, toilets, sinks, keyboards, and much more. Wash items they wore or utilized in the days before you isolated them.

Say no to visitors:You should not be having guests. If you need to see somebody in person, do it outside your house, preferably outside, and remain at least six feet away from them.

Stay home yourself:Now you and others in your house have had contact with a person who has or may have COVID-19, you could carry the virus together with you to work or the shop, even if you don’t have symptoms. Get delivery from restaurants and grocery shops, or ask family or friends if they are able to help you, and leave the items out of your front door.

The long awaited hunt on july 4, in this hunt I was admin in my home club of invites. The hunt was very good since I shared with very nice people in the club.

This was the furni of this hunt, it didn't catch my attention but it had nice things.

I got these furnis, I got many walls and floors repeated, but the rug was the coolest thing that came out (it is too nice and combines with other furnis)

On invites hunts I usually reach the t7, where you take a stat of 4mcs, a kini, 1500 pig bank, 2 dns and a carepack (the latter is very good to do alone or duplicate the cash promos)

Normally I only get to t5 or t6 depending on my activity and the parties since I am usually in a potd club, but when they are invites hunt I can go a little further.

This was the boost for the parties, it was a date that triggered a boost for the cash to multiply x150%, it had a duration of 2hrs (very little for my taste, since the parties in my club lasted almost 5hrs so i had to activate it 2 times for each party)

A friend invited me to do a solo of 15 invites, it was good since I got 1T, usually I must hit many parties to get 1T so I found it a good solo, I used 10 dns, 1 carepack and boost

I didn't get any avi boxes, but if i got all 600 mooses to get the canada avi, i couldn't get the vip that appeared as a rare reward on invites parties, but this one is equally nice.

The mooses are items that were obtained by opening boxes, timer boxes and lite boxes and 600 were needed to turn them into the female avi.
