little shoto loves having rules. he loves the idea of structure, whether that means breaking or following the rules. he, however, feels uncomfortable having a caregiver because he has difficulty trusting another person to take care of him in such a vulnerable state.

iida loves having rules too. but mostly to excessively obsess and follow them. he, however, enjoys taking care of others, having trouble to regress himself.

he knows how much shoto needs care though, so he leaves meals in the fridge, little paper notes, and more childish gifts (like stuffies or coloring books or toys) for shoto. shoto is very grateful for the gentle guidance and indirect care.

This is an idea that came to me after watching Arcane and then watching MHA Season 1 for the first time. I was already familiar with some of the characters, having seen them in artworks before, but then I started the season and I feel obliged to create agere content following it.

This AU ultimately remains the same except for the fact regressors are known and the incorporation of Arcane subplots/plot devices.

In a world filled with superheroes patrolling the streets and age-regression a common worldwide phenomenon, one might expect a society built on empathy and protection—a world safer and kinder than any before it. However, reality rarely aligns with expectations. The existence of quirks created new heights of power but also depths of inequality, and age-regression, despite the understanding of vulnerability, did not receive universal compassion. Those who regress were often met with mixed reactions between support and judgment, treated as either fragile treasures or burdens to be managed.

The belief that these powers and systems would create an entirely safe world proved naïve. Not all heroes were as noble as they appeared, the promise of safety a lie upon the power-hungry outbursts. While heroes were busy protecting civilians and teaching teenagers to become pro heroes, a dangerous, covert industry thrived in the shadows of poorer districts—Shimmer, a synthetic drug designed to grant superhuman abilities, usually at a devastating cost, was produced and sold in hushed corners, preying on those forgotten, quirkless, or surviving in poverty.

The underground Shimmer trade was meant to be a forgotten part of Izuku Midoriya's past—a nightmare buried beneath layers of fear and silence. However, has anything gone right in his life? Whispers of the drug had begun circulating again, murmurs of its reappearance in districts not far from U.A. High School. What had once been a desperate attempt to grant power to the powerless had evolved into a thriving illicit market. News reports spoke of sudden surges of crime, with suspects displaying unnatural physical abilities with bulging purple veins.

At U.A., Principal Nezu informed the teachers to warn the students about the circulation of Shimmer and recommend them to remain on campus grounds and stay alert with a group if they decide to venture. Aizawa wasn't impressed, more asleep than anything against Yamada from patrolling the previous night. A quick and cheerful goodbye from Yamada made him sigh as he begrudgingly walked to his classroom.

The classroom was unusually silent, a tension hanging in the air as Aizawa entered the room. He knew that the students of the academy knew about the recent revelation of Shimmer. His tired eyes swept over the students, ensuring he had their attention bar the exception of a few regressors doing their own thing. He sighed before speaking.

"Listen up," he began, his voice low and firm. "There's been an increase in activity related to a substance called Shimmer. I'm sure some of you have heard rumours about it, but let me make this clear—it's not just another street drug. It's a synthetic substance that grants superhuman abilities to anyone, quirked or quirkless, for a limited time. The cost? Your body, your sanity, or your life."

The students exchanged uneasy glances, murmurs rippling through the room. It was obvious they were more nervous than before. Aizawa held up a hand, effectively silencing them.

"Shimmer isn't new," he continued. "It's been around for decades, circulating in the black market and evolving, preying on the desperate—those who feel powerless in a society built around quirks. The recent cause for concern is that recent reports suggest its making it's way into areas where it hasn't been seen before, including ones close to U.A. Some of you may think this doesn't concern you. You're wrong."

Aizawa's gaze sharpened, narrowing his eyes as his tone turned colder. "Villains have used Shimmer to enhance their abilities, and even civilians, primarily those quirkless, have turned to it. The consequences are catastrophic. Enhanced strength, speed, or quirks might seem like an easy solution, but the drug destroys you from the inside out. Organs fail, tumor growths on the body, minds break, and for most users, there's no coming back."

Katsuki snorted from his seat, rolling his eyes as he leaned back against his seat with his arms crossed. "Sounds like it really only affects the quirkless losers trying to find shortcuts into becoming a hero." He looked at Izuku, who was sitting at his desk playing with his fingers nervously while staring fearfully at Aizawa. He sneered at him and looked back to the front. "Damn wannabes.."

Aizawa's eyes narrowed at him. "And should one of those prescribed 'losers' attack someone you care about while hopped up on Shimmer? Or perhaps a friend turns to it, believing there are no alternative options? Power doesn't make people immune to desperation, Bakugo. You'd do well to remember that."

He sighed while the room fell silent, Katsuki grumbling to himself as he remained quiet.

"Shimmer isn't just a threat because of the people who use it. It's because of what it represents," Aizawa continued. "The gaps in society—the cracks people fall through when quirks don't solve their problems. You're training to be heroes, and that means protecting everyone, not just those who fit into neat little categories. This isn't just a lesson; it's a warning. Stay vigilant. If you see or hear anything related or involving Shimmer, report it immediately. That last thing we need is one of your asses getting involved and suffering from it. That's all for now, I'll be back, I have to report this back to Principal Nezu."

Upon the conclusion of Aizawa's speech, the room buzzed with hushed voices. However, Izuku sat rigid in his chair, his hands trembling slightly before he clambered underneath his desk. It was common for him to hide whenever he regressed, the class and Aizawa had learnt that pretty early on. It never stopped Aizawa from being concerned and attempting to speak to him about his fear. He pulled his legs up to his chest, burrowing his head into them to escape the reality that Shimmer had been revived from the dead. His eyes flickered between green and purple as he whimpered quietly to himself, hoping none of his other classmates heard him.

As Aizawa disappeared from the room, the tension and curiosity lingered like a fog. Most of the class huddled into small groups, whispering about the Shimmer and its potential dangers, sharing their own thoughts about the drug. Katsuki, however, remained in his seat, an irritated scowl plastered on his face.

"It's just a damn drug," he muttered, loud enough for a few people to overhear. "Weaklings use it because they're too pathetic to get strong on their own and the quirkless want to replicate a quirk for themselves."

Kyoka, who had been leaning on her desk and chatting with Mina, turned her head sharply. "You're unbelievable, Bakugo. Did you not hear what Aizawa just said? It's not just about the people using it, it's what pushes them to that point."

Katsuki snorted, his crimson eyes narrowing. "Oh, I heard it loud and clear. It doesn't change the fact that anyone who takes it is just asking for their own destruction. If they're too weak and useless to handle life without shortcuts, that's on them."

"That's rich coming from someone who acts like being strong is the only thing that matters. Not everyone has the same advantages as you, Bakugo. You have a powerful quirk that can protect you from so much, what about the people who don't?" Kyoka replied, straightening up, her eyes flashing with annoyance.

The room went quiet, the other students turning to watch the brewing argument. Kirishima noticed Izuku's trembling figure underneath the desk, watching the argument with fear. "Guys... maybe you should knock it off," He interjected, trying to de-escalate the situation. "This isn't the time to be arguing, you're scari—"

"Stay out of it, Shitty Hair!" Katsuki barked, standing abruptly, his chair scraping against the floor. "You think I don't get it? You think I've had everything handed to me? I've worked for every damn thing I've got, and I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like people who take the easy way out deserve sympathy!"

Kyoka didn't back down, stepping closer to him. "It's not about sympathy, it's about understanding! Not everyone has the luxury of working their way up like you did. Some people are desperate, some don't see another way!"

The two were nose-to-nose now, voices rising with every word. Around them, the class murmured nervously, some suggesting to find Aizawa.

"What, you think I'm supposed to feel sorry for them? For people who screw themselves over and then cry about it?" Katsuki glared, his gaze fixed on Kyoka who had the same amount of fiery determination and passion.

"Maybe you should!" Kyoka shot back. "Maybe if you stop acting like the whole world is some contest, you'd actually understand what Aizawa was talking about!"

Underneath his desk, Izuku sat frozen. His heart pounded as the argument grew louder, the intensity of their voices forcing him to cover his ears. The flickering in his eyes started again—green to purple, purple to green—his mind breaking itself to understand the difference between his classmates and villains. The Shimmer had appeared and he was fighting for control that wouldn't come easily.

And then it happened. Katsuki's voice hit a sharp crescendo and Izuku moved without thinking. He scrambled from underneath the desk as he stood, his legs unsteady but his resolve ironclad;

Katsuki was in DANGER.

Hullo hullo! I have just started watching MHA, and I'm enjoying it so far! I heard you wanted some more MHA requests sooooo

Is it possible for you to write Regressor!Izuku, who is non-verbal and shy/scared of everyone at the school except Katsuki? Katsuki still sees him as a rival and torments him. However, an argument breaks out in the middle of class, and Izuku puts himself between Katsuki and someone else, thinking they're going to hurt Katsuki. Izuku is defensive and refuses to leave Katsuki's side the rest of class, and then we end up with fluff?

I guess you could almost say Izuku doesn't trust anyone at the school, believing them to be villains for fighting with Katsuki. This is probably some angst to fluff if you're okay with writing that. If not, that's completely okay! If you want to change the story anyhow, go for it!

My Little Hero

So this is such a good request that I might turn it into a mini series considering all the potential this holds. Also I suggest keeping tissues nearby when you hit seasons six and seven you will be crying a lot. -Kiri

Izuku Midoriya is an age regressor no one knows this not even his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugou knows or well thats what he thinks. Truth is everyone knows to various degrees they know to give him space when he goes non-verbal or well most do Katsuki still throws a few jabs at him but he’s at least a bit nicer about it.

Today was one of those days where Midoriya felt very small not talking much. A fight breaks out between Bakugou and Iida over what Midoriya didn’t know. All he really knows is he doesn’t like it so he stood up and pushed the two apart. He tries to look like he’s not scared but he is utterly terrified. He doesn’t want Tenya yelling at him for pushing and he doesn’t want Katsuki yelling at him that he doesn’t need him protecting him.

The expected yelling doesn’t come from either sure he gets a quirked eyebrow raise from Iida but the only reaction he gets out of Bakugou is a half snarked ‘Tch’ from the moment Aizawa get into the classroom everyone sits in there seats Izuku sitting close to Katsuki.

Bakugou has no idea why Midoriya is practically following him like a puppy all the time but he also can’t bring himself to yell at him like he normally would. He finds himself constantly checking in on Izuku more often.

When the explosive blonde asks his friend Denki Kaminari about it considering the electric blonde’s boyfriend Hitoshi Shinsou is also a regressor. Kaminari explains that Bakugou is going into caregiver mode and that it’s normal given the fact Midoriya is a little without one. It’s after that explanation that Katsuki vows to be the best damn caregiver for Izuku.

Caregiver!Tenya Iida Headcanons

A/N: This isn’t something anybody requested, but I’m really getting back into MHA, and I love Iida, so I’m gonna write about it anyway. <3

I don’t think Iida knew about age regression before he met you. But once you tell him about it, he researches more about it as soon as possible. He loves you and it sounded really important to you, so he wants to fully understand what it is.

After he’s done researching, if you don’t bring it back up for a while, he’ll just come up to you and ask you if you have a caregiver. When you say “no” he just asks “well, do you want me to be your caregiver?”

Just. Casually. Like it’s nothing.

And of course, you say yes.

It’s a learning process for both of you when you first regress around him. He immediately asks how old you are and you hold up 2 fingers.

You’re so little, he panics a little bit. But it’s fine! He learns what to do eventually.

He’s so gentle and kind. He’s LARGE and STRONG so he’s constantly worried about accidentally hurting you.

Buys you literally anything and everything you want. He’s rich, so he can afford it. He barely even looks at the price before he’s adding it to his cart.

If you ever feel guilty about it, he always assures you that it’s fine. He’s more than well off. He’s got more than enough money to handle it.

He’s VERY strict. You must got to bed by at least 10pm, wake up at 6am on school days, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day, and drink enough water. You also have to give him an update on your day at the end of every day. And you aren’t allowed to play until you’ve finished your homework. He always helps you, though!

He loves to call you “sweetheart”. I dunno why but I think he’d use this pet name A LOT.

Always holds your hand if you guys are going in public anywhere or really just outside of either of your rooms.

Like, he’ll be gripping your hand even if you guys are just going into the dorm common room.

The first time you gave him a picture you drew/colored, he almost fainted. He felt so special. He keeps it on his room in his wall.

Whenever he can’t take care of you, either Midoriya or Todoroki take care of you. You started calling them your uncles. Midoriya makes it clear that he really likes it and feels honored. Todoroki seems indifferent but secretly is very happy about it.

Sometimes they’ll all watch you at the same time. That’s always fun. Especially when you make them play with you.

You always manage to stay up past your bed time whenever they come over.

Midoriya is a sucker and when he watches you, it isn’t hard to get him to let you bend the rules a bit.

You can’t tell Tenya, though. BOTH of you will get a lecture and Midoriya might not be allowed to watch you for a while.

Tenya likes being called parental names a LOT. But, if you just wanna call him his name or a different name, that’s fine! It’s about you and your comfort!

He picks you up. A lot. Like I said, he’s super strong. He uses it to his advantage because he knows it makes you feel even smaller.

Izuku Midoriya agere head cannons! ^_^

recently i've been getting back into mha sooo,,,, here are some little izuku headcannons!! (i will be doing cg izu in another post but for now, have the little guy hehe) . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁

ᯓ★ he is both an age regressor and caregiver! Possibly a little lean but it depends how he's doin mentally ᯓ★ when he's small, his headspace ranges from about 2 to 6 but usually falls between 4-5 ᯓ★ his main reasons for regressing are all the problems caused by all the bullying when he was growing up and finding out he was quirkless, crushing his dreams at such a young age. And the constant fighting in wars with villans and such, when in UA. Sometimes he just regresses to get the weight of the world off his shoulders for a couple hours. ᯓ★ found about his regression in the first year of being in UA from mumblings of coping mechanism during therapy. but he didn't really understand or think about it until kaminari was being pretty open about being a regressor himself one eday, so, Izuku being Izuku went down a rabbithole of researching and found it to be a great coping mechanism for himself! ᯓ★ when he's regressed, he prefers to be called "Izu" or "Zuzu" by his close friends who aren't his cg but still know he regresses! ᯓ★ speaking of cg's, he has a couple. Because I like katsudeku, I think that Katsuki is his main cg!! His other main ones are Todoroki and possibly Aizawa ᯓ★ when little, he calls Katuski either "Kacchan" or if he's really small sometimes he'll slip out a "dada". He likes to call Todoroki either "Todo", "Roro" or "Roki". As for Aizawa, usually just a little "Zawa" ᯓ★ Besides his main cg's, most of class 1A likes to care for Izu when he's small and absolutely love it since he's just such a little sweetheart! but kirishima, ochaco, momo, sero and Iida spend the most time with small izu ᯓ★ his love for All Might only grows when small! He just loves to watch All might documentaries, movies, little youtube clips. Dont even get me started on the amount of all might little space gear he would have hehe! paci's, decorated bottles and sippies, onesies, plushies, teethers, absolutely everything! ᯓ★ he's an absolute angel for the most part! especially when around the ages of 3-6 loves to cuddle, always smiley and giggly, just a joy to be around!! howeverrr, when he slips tinier than around 3, he can be a little sleepy, leading him to be fussy ᯓ★ loves to play hero games with his friends and cg's, "saving" them, usually pretending to be all might. ᯓ★ because i headcannon izuku to be autistic, i think he stims a lot more when hes regressed!! he loves to rock side to side and back and forth the most! ᯓ★ he also tends to babble nonsense, just complete babababa and all his cg's can do is just sit there and nod while he has a full conversation with them in baby ᯓ★ his favourite pet/nicknames (and the ones only katuski and shoto are allowed to call him) are baby, sweetie, honey/hun, sweet boy, bunny, bubba, cutie, dear, dearest, little love and munchkin! but everyone else can use little one, buddy, kiddo, things like that hehe thats it for now!! i will definitely be making more little izu posts bc hes just so cute!! i will also be posting little izu stories on my ao3 if anyone is interested :33 bye bye lovelies, hope you have a wonderful day or night!! 💗

bakugo has to visit his parents every month, his dad likes cooking family dinners, catching up with their son’s life together. but recently, the dinners have gone to shit. filled with overwhelming screaming, arguments between him and his mom.

after a particularly frustrating argument, ended by mitsuki hitting bakugo’s arm. bakugo, instead of taking public transport, walks all the way back to the dorms. focused on putting one foot in front of the other, and not letting furious tears pour.

iida greets him, about to scold him for being out past curfew— until he notices bakugo’s face. furrowed eyebrows, glossy carmine eyes, his lip bitten into—obviously chewed on, clinging onto his clothes uncomfortably.

his words so soft, oozing with sweetness, “katsuki… are you okay?..”

broken sobs escape him, high pitched whines as iida brings his arms up. “can i hug you, katsuki?” bakugo nods frantically, wet burning tears running down his cheeks. iida frowns at the sight, taking him to his arms, letting him lean into it. “it’s okay, it’s gonna be okay, buddy.”

his face so vulnerable and wet, katsuki buries his face into his chest. a whimper escaping him. “b bubba..” all shattered, and iida helps him pick up the pieces, gluing him back together.

Little! Bakugou and CG!Kirishima Headcannons

- Sorry Kirishima, you have a feral raccoon toddler

- Bakugou regresses to about 2-4!

- Kirishima calls him his little shark, his baby firecracker, baby, kiddo, little hero, and his little spark!

- Bakugou is just chaos when tiny. It takes a lot to calm the kiddo down!

- Kiri’s favorite method is to tire out the baby by playing heroes (Bakugou is always All Might, while Kiri is the evil villain) and then scoop up Bakugou onto the couch for cuddles with a nice sippy cup of vanilla milk and a All Might stuffie. Within five minutes, Bakugou is out like a light.

- Kiri is the soft, but firm kind of caregiver.

- He loves his wild baby, but there needs to be rules to contain his little one’s chaos!

- Bakugou will gnaw on pacis and sippy cups if Kiri doesn’t catch him and offers him a teether instead. They go through a LOT of pacis.

- They have the occasional playdate with Deku and Iida or Momo and Jirou!

♡ While the gap between Momo and Kyoka's regression ages is rather wide, (Momo tending to regress between seven through ten and Kyoka going between one and five), they're truly the best of friends no matter what!

♡ Momo is a very kind and gentle young lady, big or little, and is just the right amount of energy for the timid little Kyoka. And Kyoka's a very imaginative little girl which gives Momo plenty of material to work with when they play together.

♡ For this specific playdate, Momo got permission to take the craft box down as long as she promised to pick up after herself, which she always did anyway! She would have liked to have had the playdate outside, but it was much too cold for that.

♡ With the craft box in hand, a tarp set out on the coffee table (courtesy of Iida), and snacks and juice on stand-by, all that was left was to obtain Jirou! Which... Was a bit easier said than done. Mr. Yamada is so fickle about when naptime is over, honestly!

♡ Momo is a patient little lady though! As patient as a seven year old can be, she sat herself right down next to Kyoka's nap mat in a poof of glittery tulle and stared Hizashi down until it was finally time for them to go play. Kyoka woke up around two, so Momo decided to carry her! (Despite the caregiver's fussing and fretting, Momo would not be deterred. Kyoka weighs like a handful of grapes to her!)

♡ Poor little Kyoka is so flustered over being carried! But, Momo titters that they're going to have so much fun, she got permission to take out the craft box and she got frosted animal crackers, both of which perk Kyoka out of her post-nap brain fuzz.

♡ Being carried isn't so bad when there's animal crackers at the end of the road...

♡ Kyoka eventually worms out of Momo's grip and takes her hand to scamper ahead! They have things to do, come on, come on!

♡ Sitting up close together, they dig out their materials and get to work on their individual projects, with Momo leading the conversation, asking questions and buzzing with creativity. Kyoka doesn't tend to talk much when she's small, so Momo makes sure to listen very closely when she does have something to say.

♡ Momo's project is making little animals out of pipe cleaners! It's usually her go to craft since in mere moments you can have a fuzzy little friend right in the palm of your hand! And, with Kyoka's valuable input, Momo ends up with a brown bear, a purple fox, an orange fox, a white fox, a pink rabbit, a black deer, and a handful of birds in many colors! Kyoka doesn't think there's enough foxes, but she appreciates being heard.

♡ Though when Momo peeks over to see what Kyoka has been up to this entire time, she gasps. Kyoka has been drawing a picture of them (as foxes) playing in the snow! She cheerfully tells Kyoka that it's beautiful, she's so happy to have been included in her drawing.

♡ And, a bit pink in the cheeks, Kyoka gently headbutts Momo's shoulder and murmurs in the softest voice, ".. M'happy t'be frien's with Momo..."

♡ Momo beams with the brightest smile and pulls her into a tender hug, "I'm so happy to be your friend too."
