You only responded by stomping your feet and whining toward him earning a glare back from Logan. He sighed again and decided it would be best to compromise with you.

“How about this, I’ll help you clean up your room then we can cuddle.”

You stared at him for a bit before weighing the pros and cons of the situation then finally giving in to his words. He rubbed his temples and then began to help you put away your mounds of toys in their respective places. You really were a spoiled little but he worked hard and loved you so much that you were able to be spoiled. Eventually, your playroom was all clean and he stood up picking you up earning a giggle and a squeal from you

“Up we go, honey”

He said as you nuzzled your head into his chest well he walked you to his bedroom where he would set you down on the bed. Eventually, he went to go and gather a stuffed animal for you and some more blankets. Leaving you to do whatever you wanted to do next for the time being.

The winter soldier stood there clearly erratic and angry this was the tip of the iceberg for him. But if you looked deeper he was just scared and confused as of now, his caregiver was nowhere to be found and she was always there after a memory wipe. So here he was trying to hurt anything that moved his way that wasn’t his caregiver. Meanwhile, you were extremely late to the room after the most recent memory wipe. As you approached the room where he was being kept you heard metal clanging against the floor.

Files in hand you dropped them on the side table and opened the doors to the room to find him in the corner and alert of everything. Recently after wipes and in general, he had been regressing to the mind of an angry and scared four to five-year-old. So with that said it was important that you were there after every stress-inducing mission or situation. Your eyes softened at the sight of him and once he caught sight of you it was the same he had broken down and went to sit down at the chair he had been on.

She walked up to him the sound of her heels clicking against the floor before she kneeled to his height and wrapped her arms around him providing pressure in a comforting manner to him.

“It’s okay sweetheart your safe now”

She whispered to him gently as he wrapped her arms around her back to cry gently into her soldier, it was the only time he was truly allowed to cry without fear of being punished was with her. She turned her head to the ones in the room asking for assistance to his room well he was still in her arms.

“We’ll be back to the room soon I can promise you that, Soldat”

She whispered with a kiss to his forehead.

She couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of you, you seemed off but she couldn’t seem to put her finger on it. As a soldier, she had to consider everything. Usually, she was able to find out things with ease but this time she needed a hint. She snapped out of her thoughts to realize what you were doing. Watering plants and babbling to yourself? Realization quickly appeared on her face, a light blush on her cheeks following it.

In her time in the military, she had witnessed it before. Regression was something that was considered taboo in the military but she wasn’t there anymore. She was at school where things like this were normal, especially in their situation. She slowly stood up from the bench and walked next to the student. Dropping to you’re height and tilting her head to the side.

“What are you doing kiddo?”

She asked although usually harsh a hint of gentleness in her voice something somewhat rare coming from her.
