Women's Day Reflections
This Women’s Day was special for me as I was part of launching a new Women’s network in my organization. I felt honored as I stood there speaking to a 100+ men and women about my journey and how I feel the new initiative will help a lot of women in the organization to thrive! I could relive the moments were I could lean into some of my mentors in the past and how I could learn from many women…

Mad Men: THE SUITCASE Is Full Of Peggy's Baggage
Peggy Olsen contends with her choices of relationships, desire & work in the fan favorite MAD MEN episode 'The Suitcase' through three men Mark, Duck & Don. #MadMen #PeggyOlsen #DonDraper
One of the best stories I’ve ever watched on screen has been Mad Men. At the peak of prestige television, this show nimbly trod the fine balance between authenticity and morality by viewing the 1960s through a post-millennium gaze. It didn’t hurt that everyone looked good. The set and costumes were as instrumental in moving the story as were its dialogues and scenes. Its detailed plots and…

Oh HELL YEAH, gay fanfic comrade careerwomen
I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.

before i block this blog (most likely run by a troll), i want to address this point because everything this person says is misogynistic/incel/conservative language. anti-feminists that pretend to be in good faith all talk like this. they reframe feminist revolution as "men's allowance" and belittle and diminish verified and effective forms of activist strategy with the intellectual equivalent of passing gas.
some of them also say genuinely insane statements like "demasculinizing in utero." they aren't serious about the conversation. they will legit say anything because they don't respect the subject at all and it is a genuine game. people who resort to unhinged word salads like this are usually disingenuous.
also certain phrases this blogger uses mirror male online mannerisms, such as opening with a misattributed accusation void of any understanding of the text "False dilemma, there are other solutions than anti-natalism/separatism." I did not claim there weren't. There are no false dilemmas present except for the one this blogger hallucinated.
and of course, unjustified male nihilism, stating forcefully rather than referencing or showing evidence, that all feminist efforts are useless and lead nowhere. this user is most likely a male incel larping as a radfem.
but to address the sentiment that separatism and anti-natalism are somehow non-effective: they aren't. women and their ability to reproduce are resources. we are the world's men's favourite product/resource, whether for sex, companionship, financial support or offspring. the future and present state of the economy is dependent on us. the future fitness of the human race and its longevity is increasingly dependent on the XX chromosome. males are dying faster, getting sicker, deteriorating quicker. each new generation of males is built shitter than the previous ones. so on a physical level alone, patriarchy cannot be eternal. and on an economic level, especially with the increasing commonality of girls and women being educated and participating in the job market, as well as with the advent of multiple technologies, a lot of old patriarchal traditions are quickly becoming moot and even unattractive to other big, old systems like capitalism. capitalism has become increasingly dependent on the consumerism of women, which means, a boycott from women could bring many insanely wealthy industries (not companies) to their fucking knees.
so separatism ensures that men do not have access to women's free labour on an emotional, economic or physical scale. it starves the economy of future workers and hence future profits, it destabilizes the function of patriarchal society. separatism, while hurting males on every level (because they are so dependent on women), also BOOSTS women's and girl's health, wealth and longevity. girls excell more (than boys) in academia, making them better equipped to lead and navigate the world and even MORE necessary and invaluable to society. (in my country, companies tend to hire women more than men because women are better workers in every aspect and male culture makes them more destructive to the work environment so sometimes, women are the ones getting the promotions and the better salaries) in short, separatism makes women and girls even more invaluable to society! the wealthier they are (and more are becoming wealthier than many years before), the more the economy HAS to listen to them. more women than ever are educated, homeowners, careerwomen, etc.
women getting into paid work is fucking HUGE and it is forcing a lot to change (and it is unfortunate we don't talk about how huge a win it was that we have gotten to the place where women and girls en masse are educated and expected to be educated AND far more connected to each other unlike educated women of the past). it is, to put it mildly, mostly here to stay (even in the face of regressive societies). it is just way too beneficial to societies that girls are educated, and that will be true for future generations the more women acquire power (and the men in power that benefit from this are not the ones that "permitted" anything. men killed and harassed the suffragettes that fought for women's right to education, and it got unsustainable for men, in short--women strategically FORCED men's hands, much like many slaves made their exploitation unsustainable for their oppressors, no oppressor has ever had a change of heart, their hands are always FORCED). the benefits of women being in power will only get better and become a much more appealing alternative to whatever this shitfest is. i believe that.
and of course, wherever there is resistance, oppressors will also show their power in an attempt to squish it, but they still remain mortal, even after buying themselves time. additionally, the more men "show their power" the more women's conscious raising shoots up! it is because of the suffering inflicted by men on women that women are able to have such similar experiences across the globe. more suffering, in a twisted way, also increases women's awareness of the system, radicalizing them without the help of feminists online. so the worse it gets, the more knowledgeable women will become! as is the case with many regimes. you get careless with your crimes, it makes it easier to condemn you because your witness count increases! taking away people's rights also gives them MORE to fight for, not less! push humans into a corner and they have no choice but to force their way forward!
the fact of the matter is that patriarchy and capitalism are conjoined twins, and none of them are sustainable. that's the fun thing about living in an interconnected world. it's how slaves could free themselves from their masters when whites still had the upper hand. to quote katniss everdeen, "if we burn, you burn with us." this large-scale femicide and subjugation of women IS in the way of human and planetary progress and flourishing. to hold onto it is just going to kill men, too. it is humanity's survival or patriarchy and capitalism. we can't have both.
but even if it was hopeless (which it isn't), i am still morallly obligated to resist these regimes NOW while I am alive. i cannot say i disagree with them and do/say nothing to resist them. besides, I can save animals, women and girls, exploited individuals NOW. that means that whether or not feminism takes over the world, it is still my duty to resist it in any way and help my contemporaries however I can. no matter how bleak it looks.
because saving 20 of my contemporaries is still better than sitting on my fucking ass and congratulating myself on being an enlightened cynic.
i will garden in the desert, because i'm a person capable of carving beauty and meaning into the silent rock of this world. we can (and many of us already have) created for ourselves the lives we wanted to live.
feminist action has never been limited to separatism and anti-natalism (personally, im more of an anti-male-natalist than blanket anti-natalist, lol) such as marxism, socialism and intersectionality. female separatists are not limited to one kind of strategy. actually, we do as many as we can. you can refuse to marry a man and still go to a job where there are men and be a separatist. you can adopt a daughter (not getting pregnant will accelerate your career) and have more money and more wealth as a result while still having a child. or you can get a daughter way later! you can go to a sperm bank instead of having sex or parenting with a man. being a separatist (and anti-natalist) has various forms. it does not change the fact that separatism is still a NET positive for women and girls. it gives them more systemic power because they are putting all their strength and life-force into themselves instead of men. so men are left without a host to suck off of, and women get to retain their vitality, un-brainwashed and empowered to use their strength to further their own power.
that's why men are so scared of it. that's why people like that blogger want to convince us separatism is a pipe dream. if the blogger up there was truly a sincere feminist, they would still encourage resistance because even if separatism doesn't get us a utopia, it still benefits the individual woman that practices it.
and men are scared of that.
"we will probably never reach a point where women can reverse such an imbalance of power"
all men begin inside a conscious woman. all men begin at a woman's mercy.
so i beg to differ.
"separatism/anti-natalism is so unrealistic. it won't fix the problem." okay and marrying men worked? bearing their children worked? educating them worked? transing your gender worked? did the patriarchy stop when you wore eyeliner "sharp enough to kill a man"? did it stop when you got a mastectomy? did it come to a screeching halt when you said "sex work is work" and "not all men"? bffr

All of my girlfriends please go and follow @femininesuccess .. I have been following her for a while and sis ALWAYS has a great message! I truly believe that the universe/ God is always working in my favor... always... it’s something divine that moves and gives me what I need when I need it... if you don’t think so, maybe if you start believing, you will start receiving... but she made a good point about NEEDING vs. being needy... it’s okay to need, we all need, and being clear about what you need.. but sometimes you can be clear about what you need however, who youre communicating to just may not intend on meeting your needs anyway and that’s okay! Being needy is depending on ONE PERSON to provide you with all of your needs... so there’s the difference... as a woman we are already in position to receive! this Thursday evening, she is hosting a Men & Money workshop! I have tuned in to it before and plan to listen to her again. She speaks about harmonizing relationships and business/ careers... how to stop GRINDING and start building... head over to her page and follow ladies🥰 #art #business #education #love #poetry #menandmoney #success #careerwomen #homeschool #coach #empower #community https://www.instagram.com/p/BuXeTF4Aj3m/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=13tam12k3h3e2
