The Benefits of Airdyne Bikes: A Comprehensive Guide
There are countless options when it comes to cardio exercise. From running and swimming to cycling and boating, the options are endless. One exercise machine that has become popular in recent years is the Airdyne bike. Combining the benefits of stationary cycling and upper body exercises, Airdyne bikes offer a comprehensive and effective way to improve your fitness. In this article we will explore the many benefits of the Airdyne bike and why you should consider it for your workout routine.
1. Full Body Workouts: Unlike traditional stationary bikes, Airdyne bikes incorporate upper and lower body movement. Wristbands are attached to pedals, allowing you to engage your arms, shoulders and back in addition to your legs. With full-body coordination and increased intensity, you can get a very effective workout in a short amount of time. This makes Airdyne bikes ideal for those who want to maximize their workout time without sacrificing results.

Two really great things about this run:
It happened
I somehow timed it so that the voice on the app said "your workout is complete" just as I turned into my driveway

I am just SO tired lately. I added cardio 4x/week to my routine and I’ve started my Masters degree, and a new casual job. Which is all work from home etc, but still.
On a side note, like sure, I expected my Masters to be harder than a Bachelor degree, but I just feel like my brain isn’t engaging at all.
On the positive side, I’ve lost 4kg (8.8lbs) since Feb 2 👍🏻👍🏻

Today I found a cardio I liked!!!!!
After years and years and YEARS of trying to force myself to like running and failing and failing and feeling like a failure, today I pulled up a hip hop dance video and I LOVED IT!!!
Now mind you, I am the furthest thing from a hip hop dancer. I grew up learning classical ballet and don’t know the first thing about hip hop. But I spent the whole 20+ minute video laughing at myself for how badly I did the moves and having a great time. I didn’t even notice I had been doing intense cardio until the video was over.
I don’t have to be a runner. My cardio is just as good as anyone else’s cardio. I do not have to run to be good at cardio. I do not have to be a runner to be healthy.

I literally have sweat dripping off my eyelashes. Now to sneak into the shower quick and make myself some lunch before baby wakes up!

10/23 - Do you balance your exercise across the different disciplines (Strength, Cardio, Flexibility) or do you focus on one?
I’d love to say I strike a balance between them but I’m very cardio-heavy. I guess a lot of people fall into that routine with working out. I just like cardio. I like how I feel during and after. I enjoy it.
That said, I know I should do more strength training. I’m not ready to do full-out strength training at the gym, I don’t think, but I could definitely start working more small stuff into my daily workout. Currently I really only work on core strength — I do a bit every day, because a strong core supports a healthy back. So I could definitely add more to that: planks, pushups, that kinda thing. Just have to be careful not to do anything that puts too much strain on the lower back, but there are lots of options.
I’d also love to be more flexible. My hamstrings are one area that could use some serious work. I can bend down and touch my toes, but that’s about all I’ve got flexibility-wise. I think I’ll do some research on this stuff and pick one thing each week to work into my daily workout routine that focuses either on strength or flexibility and see how it feels.
