He called himself Dennis the Menace. But the only thing anyone had to fear was listening to him talk. And talk he could! Dennis was feisty. He loved people. He loved cars (he owned 17 different cars in 3 years!) and going to car shows. But he didn’t love the car care products on the market. So what did he do? He formulated his own!
Back in the early 1970’s, Dennis set out to create an all-in-one detailer so revolutionary that it could be used on any part of any vehicle – paint, chrome, glass; car, truck, motorcycle, RV, boat – anything you wanted to clean, shine, and protect. That’s when This Iz It Ultimate Detailer was born along with the entire line of Beats Um All car care products. Dennis sold the products at car shows across the U.S. and developed an almost cult-like following, making some really great friends along the way.
Sadly, Dennis died in 2019. And that’s where I come in. I’m Denny Jr., Dennis’s oldest son, and I worked with Dad off and on over the years. I helped test his products at my auto detail shop, telling Dad when a product wasn’t up to par and celebrating with him when he got the formula just right. I no longer have that shop, but what I do have is Dad’s secret formula and proprietary process, and I’m continuing to manufacture This Iz It Ultimate Detailer and the Beats Um All products. Like Dad, I use only the highest quality ingredients and I guarantee every bottle in every batch. All of the products are manufactured in beautiful East Tennessee just the way Dad used to do it.
If you’ve been using the products, you’ll keep getting the same friendly service you’re used to. If you haven’t discovered the products yet, what are you waiting for? You’re gonna love ‘em!

Discover the Best Soap for Car Wash at Home
Ever wondered what the best soap for car wash at home is? Washing your car can feel like a daunting task, but with the right products and techniques, it becomes more than just a chore—it’s a moment of pride and satisfaction. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just someone who wants to keep their vehicle shining like new, using the right car care products makes all the difference. So, grab your bucket, and let’s dive into the world of car detailing!
Why Does Using the Right Soap Matter?
Think about it—your car faces all kinds of weather, dirt, and debris daily. A regular household cleaner just won't cut it when it comes to keeping your paint job looking sharp. Using the best soap for a car wash at home not only removes dirt but also protects the finish. This ensures that your car not only looks good but also maintains its resale value for years to come.
The Best Soap for Car Wash at Home: What to Look For
When you're searching for car wash soap, it’s essential to find something that’s gentle yet effective. The best car care products will:
Be pH-balanced to avoid stripping wax or damaging the paint.
Offer a thick, sudsy formula that clings to dirt and lifts it away.
Contain ingredients that help maintain a sleek, glossy finish.
Look for soaps that are specifically labeled for automotive use. These products are formulated to clean your car without harming its delicate exterior.
Essential Car Care Products You Need
When you're setting up for a car wash, soap is just the beginning. If you want your vehicle to look pristine, you’ll need a few other essentials for car detailing. These include:
A Good Quality Car Wash Mitt: This is way better than an old rag or sponge. A microfiber mitt will lift dirt from the surface without scratching the paint.
Buckets for Washing and Rinsing: To avoid spreading dirt around, use a two-bucket system—one for soapy water and one for rinsing the mitt.
Microfiber Towels: These are perfect for drying your car without leaving streaks or scratches.
Wheel Cleaner: The wheels are often the dirtiest part of the car, so make sure you have a dedicated cleaner that can cut through brake dust and grime.
The Best Car Care Kit: Everything You Need in One Package
If you’re just starting your car detailing journey, it can feel overwhelming to figure out what products to buy. Thankfully, there are many car care kits available that include everything you need. These kits typically feature:
Car wash soap
Glass cleaner
Tire shine
Interior detailing cleaner
Wax or ceramic spray coating
One of the major benefits of a kit is that all the products are designed to work together. Plus, it’s a great way to save a bit of money while stocking up on essentials.
Professional Car Wash Kit: Is It Worth It?
If you want to go all out, consider investing in a professional car wash kit. These kits are similar to the consumer versions, but they usually include higher-quality products and tools used by professional detailers. You’ll get a longer-lasting shine and deeper clean with less effort. It’s an investment, but if you’re serious about keeping your car looking its best, it’s worth every penny.
Interior Detailing: The Unsung Hero of Car Care
While everyone loves a shiny exterior, the interior is where you spend the most time. Keeping it clean and smelling fresh not only enhances the driving experience but also helps maintain the car’s value.
Car Interior Detailing Cleaner: What Works Best?
When it comes to car interior detailing cleaner, there are a few different areas to focus on:
Dashboard and Console: Look for a cleaner that removes dust and fingerprints without leaving a greasy residue. Bonus points if it offers UV protection to prevent fading.
Upholstery and Carpet: For fabric interiors, a dedicated carpet cleaner can make a huge difference. For leather seats, make sure to use a cleaner and conditioner that keeps them supple and crack-free.
Glass Cleaner: Streaky windows are a big no-no. A good glass cleaner should remove smudges and leave your windows crystal clear.
Essentials for Car Detailing at Home
Whether you’re a detailing newbie or a seasoned pro, these essentials will elevate your car washing game:
Clay Bar: This is great for removing contaminants from the paint that soap alone can't handle.
Wax or Ceramic Spray Coating: After washing, apply a protective layer that enhances shine and shields your paint from the elements.
Detailing Brushes: These come in handy for cleaning vents, seams, and other hard-to-reach spots.
Foam Cannon: If you have access to a pressure washer, a foam cannon is an amazing tool that helps you cover your car in thick suds.
Ceramic Spray Coating: What You Need to Know
If you want a long-lasting shine, ceramic spray coating is the way to go. Unlike traditional waxes, which wear off after a few weeks, ceramic coatings bond to the car’s paint, providing months of protection and a high-gloss finish. It also repels water, meaning less time drying and fewer chances of water spots.
Ceramic coatings are a game-changer for car enthusiasts. They add a sleek, glossy look and protect your vehicle from UV rays, bird droppings, and harsh chemicals. While professional ceramic coatings can be costly, ceramic spray is an affordable option that still offers excellent protection.
How to Apply Ceramic Spray Coating
Applying ceramic spray coating is simple, even for beginners. Here’s a quick guide:
Start by thoroughly washing and drying your car.
Apply the ceramic spray to a small section of your car.
Use a microfiber towel to spread the coating evenly.
Buff the area with a clean microfiber towel until it shines.
The result? A car that looks as good, if not better, than the day you drove it off the lot.
Why You Need a Car Detailing Kit
Investing in a car detailing kit is the easiest way to ensure you have everything you need for a professional-grade wash. Whether you're tackling your car's exterior or giving the interior some much-needed attention, these kits come packed with products that make the job easier. Plus, having a dedicated kit encourages you to keep up with regular cleaning, preventing dirt and grime from building up over time.
Car Detailing: It’s More Than Just Cleanliness
Car detailing isn’t just about making your vehicle look good. It’s about protecting your investment. Regular washing and detailing can extend the life of your car’s paint, upholstery, and other surfaces. It’s also a great way to catch potential problems, like chips or cracks in the paint, before they become major issues.
Best Practices for Car Detailing at Home
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when detailing your car at home:
Work in the shade: Sunlight can cause water and products to dry too quickly, leaving behind streaks.
Use separate towels for different areas: This prevents cross-contamination and ensures that dirt from one part of the car doesn't scratch another.
Start from the top down: This way, dirt from the upper parts of the car doesn’t drip onto clean surfaces below.
Maintaining Your Car Between Washes
While washing your car regularly is important, there are a few ways you can maintain that showroom shine between washes. A quick spray of detailing spray or waterless wash can remove light dust and keep your car looking fresh. Also, don't forget about the wheels! Keeping them clean can make a huge difference in the overall appearance of your vehicle.
The Benefits of Using the Best Soap for Car Wash at Home
By now, you’re probably convinced that using the best soap for car wash at home can significantly improve your car's appearance. It not only helps remove dirt but also protects your car's paint, prevents rust, and enhances the shine. Pair this with the right car care products, and you’ll be turning heads on every drive.
Conclusion
Detailing your car doesn’t have to be reserved for the pros. With the right tools, including the best car care kit, interior detailing cleaners, and ceramic spray coatings, you can achieve professional results right at home. So, why not treat your car to a spa day? It deserves it!

The Past Doesn't Always Stay in the Past
Leah Williamson - Reader
Based off a prompt for Angsty Leah. Y/N's past resurfaces. Slight trigger warning for very mention of abuse, nothing detailed.
Leah’s eye kept darting to the door, their film session having started 20 minutes ago, and Y/N had yet to arrive. Y/N had abruptly left the lunchroom, and no one had seen her since.
Finally, 10 minutes later, Y/N settled herself in the open seat next to Leah. The blonde rolled her seat until the arm rests bumped Y/N’s. She rested her hand on Y/N’s knee where it bounced anxiously. The motion caused Y/N to jerk her leg away, slamming it harshly against the table while she pushed herself further away from Leah. The defender withdrew her hand quickly, hovering it in the air in surrender.
Y/N mumbled apologies to the room as everyone looked back at them, shrinking herself as much as she could into her chair. Jonas quickly called attention back to the front of the room, continuing his film session.
Leah did her best to focus on what Jonas was talking about, but her eyes continued to stray back over to her girlfriend next to her. Y/N’s eyes were staring forward, but it was obvious she wasn’t paying attention to anything being said, nibbling absentmindedly over her thumb, both legs bouncing again. Occasionally her eyebrows would knit together, and her jaw would clench, whatever thoughts going through her mind not being good ones.
The blonde gently tapped the table next to Y/N’s arm, doing her best not to startle her again. The meeting finished and everyone left, but Y/N hadn’t made any motion that she knew that. Y/N’s eyes rapidly blinked while she came back to focus, looking around the room to see everyone gone.
“Hey,” Leah spoke softly, hoping to avoid startling the younger woman.
“Hey.”
Leah could see the woman working to put up her defences, preparing to defend that she was alright before the blonde could ask how she was.
“Let’s go home, yeah?”
Y/N breathed out in relief at not having to confront anything yet. Nodding, she followed the blonde out of the room.
Leah consciously gave Y/N her space as they walked, pointedly keeping herself slightly in front of her, making sure Y/N could see all her movements. Glancing behind her to make sure Y/N was following, she could see the way Y/N’s eyes seemed to dart everywhere, stumbling into the blondes back when a door shut loudly from behind them.
Y/N nibbled on her thumb again as she stared out the window on the drive home. Leah tucked the hand not on the wheel under her thigh to avoid reaching over to Y/N.
Leaving her kit bag in the backseat, Y/N darted from the car and to the house before Leah could even get the car into park.
Hearing the shower running when she walked in, she made her way to the laundry to drop off both bags. She worked on emptying them in the wash, tossing a few other items in to fill the load.
Absently wandering the house, working to keep herself busy while she waited for Y/N to finish.
Leah sat the kitchen island picking at a bowl of berries when Y/N made her way in. She forced herself to keep her eyes on Y/N’s face and not scan her body like she wanted to.
“Umm, a lawyer called me today,” Y/N bit her lip while she shuffled in place.
Leah nodded, encouraging Y/N to continue.
“I have to go to court next week. He, uh, he, Rick might get parole,” she furrowed her brows, bringing her thumb back to her mouth, ripping the abused skin off, “good behaviour or some shit.”
The was the closest to emotion Leah had seen from Y/N since she entered the meeting room hours earlier.
“He was supposed to have 10 years! It’s only been six! And because he was a good little boy, he gets to get out early? It’s fucked!”
Y/N started to pace the kitchen.
“Found God or some fucking bullshit. She didn’t even get any time and now he gets out early? It’s fucked up. And I have to fucking see both of them!”
Her voice grew louder the more she spoke.
“So, I have to go be the same scared little girl I was six years ago. I need to see both those monsters again! Because if I don’t, he’ll get out.”
Leah wished there was something she could do. There was nothing she could say to make Y/N feel better. She wanted to pull Y/N in her arms and tell her nothing bad would happen but knew that would be a lie. Y/N wasn’t in a place to be touched right now, the blonde had learned that the first time Y/N had spoken about her past and had a panic attack when the blonde tried to hug her.
Y/N had told Leah of her past before they started dating. Some rude rookie wouldn’t stop questioning Y/N about the odd shaped scars on her back. Leah harshly told the rookie to mind her own business she brought it up again on a night out.
Cigarettes Y/N mumbled to the blonde when the rookie finally walked away. Cigars if he was in a good mood, she said it so casually the blonde almost thought she was kidding, but seeing her face, she knew Y/N wasn’t.
When Leah sat gapping like a fish, Y/N just said she had it a little rough growing up and left it at that.
A week later, Leah snapped at the rookie again when she commented to the team that it was weird Y/N never changed in front of the group, always choosing to change in a bathroom stall. Leah had hoped Y/N hadn’t heard, but unfortunately, she walked out as the rookie rushed out properly scorned.
She had found Y/N leaned against the hood of her car when she went to leave. The younger girl just saying she owed the woman an explanation to the person always coming to her defence.
That night, Y/N explained everything. How she had grown up in the foster system, some houses were good, most weren’t. The last ‘family’ being Rick and Sheryl; a be seen and not heard type of house. That being seen meant being punished. She laughed that Rick claimed he struggled with his anger, but the reality was that Rick loved the fear in the kids’ eyes as he stood over them. But what he loved even more, was Y/N begging him to take it out on her instead. Sheryl pretended she didn’t know what Rick did, but really, she was just too drunk to notice.
She told Leah how it ended when she had collapsed at a football practice. The doctors had seen the bruises in varying states of healing along with the crudely bandaged laceration on her hip where Rick’s belt buckle had struck.
Y/N flinched when Leah unconsciously reached out to touch it.
Everything moved quickly after that. The kids were removed and placed in different homes. Y/N was left on her own, petitioning for emancipation. She was awarded that, along with a large settlement from the system for the years of abuse she had attempted to report countless times. After a whirlwind of meetings and court appearances and trials, Rick was in prison, Sheryl was given a fine and Y/N was left on her own.
It felt like overnight, but now she was 22 playing professional football, dating a fellow footballer, and doing well. All for It to seemingly come crashing down by a phone call.
“It was supposed to be ten years until possible parole, not six! They were just kids, fucking kids!”
“You were just a kid too,” Leah whispered, heart clenching when she realized Y/N still prioritized how the other kids had been treated over herself.
“I was just a kid,” Y/N finally broke down completely, collapsing against the wall and sliding to the floor, wrapping her arms tightly around her knees, “I was just a kid,” she whispered helplessly.
Leah quickly made her way next to Y/N, sitting next to her, but keeping space between them. Only moving to wrap her arms around Y/N when she said it was alright.
They stayed on the floor for hours. Y/N soaking the chest of Leah’s t-shirt where her face was pressed. Leah didn’t offer any empty platitudes, only rubbing her hand soothingly up and down Y/N’s back. She only encouraged her to move when she recognized Y/N beginning to drift off against her.
Leah gently tugged her to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth, promising she would feel just slightly better after performing both actions.
Once in bed, she stayed on her back, waiting for Y/N to decide on her own if she wanted to cuddle into her side or not. Y/N didn’t hesitate before settling herself into Leah’s side.
“Do you want to say anything to the team?”
“They would want to be there for you,” she tried to encourage when she felt Y/N adamantly shake her head no.
Leah sighed. It was a lot for Y/N to take on without much support.
The next day, Y/N apologized to Jonas for her behaviour the day before, telling him she was going through something personal and requested to miss training the next week for court.
Leah discreetly made her way to the manager’s office, requesting the day off as well. Refusing to let Y/N handle the experience on her own again.
Y/N did her best to focus on the team for the rest of the week, putting in extra time on the pitch and the weight room. She was quiet and withdrawn, Leah was quick to shoo anyone away who asked too many questions, she didn’t care if she seemed like a chihuahua barking at nothing, she wasn’t letting anything further upset Y/N.
The parole hearing came too soon for Y/N. She wanted it over with, but she wasn’t ready to see either of the people again, she never would.
“Go to training Leah,” Y/N told the blonde when she realized she was pulling on dress pants instead of track pants, "you are not coming with me.”
“You’re not doing this alone.”
“Yes, I am.”
“No, you aren’t.”
They stared each other down, neither willing to back down.
“Those people took everything from me when I was younger, they will not take anything from me now. You will not be anywhere near those people,” Y/N growled out, “you are staying here.”
Leah refused to back down, “you had to do everything alone last time, you don’t need to do it alone this time.”
“I don’t care about me or being alone, I care about them seeing you. That man got off hearing me talk about it during trial, if he sees you with me,” she trailed off, “you are not coming, end of discussion.”
“You do not make decisions for me!” Leah took a breath to settle herself, she wasn’t trying to fight or make this day worse for Y/N, “I’ll wait in the car.”
Y/N shook her head, “I’m not fighting you on this Leah.”
Leah wanted to argue that waiting in the car shouldn’t be a problem, but ultimately offered a small nod, switching her dress pants for her joggers.
“Thank you.”
“Call me, as soon as it’s done,” she hugged Y/N as tight as possible before slipping out the door.
Sheryl looked older than someone her age should look. Y/N smiled to herself, good, she thought bitterly. The older woman perked up in her seat when the door opened, and Rick was led out in shackles and a body belt. He too looked far too aged; prison had not been kind to him.
She felt his eyes combing her body as he was shuffled to his spot, but she refused to give him the satisfaction of looking at him.
Parole Denied
The words continued to ring her mind only an hour later. The decision was made almost immediately after she spoke and described who the man was and what he was capable of, that he repeatedly attempted to contact her.
Sheryl had been carried from the room when she attempted to run to her husband. But Rick’s eyes stayed focused on Y/N, she ignored him while she smoothly made her way out, not giving him a hint that she was uncomfortable.
She waited until she was safely in her car to let out a shuddering breath. No tears fell though. She didn’t even realize she was shaking until she tried to enter the combo to her phone.
Leah answered on the first ring, puffing out a breath, clear she had sprinted to get her phone from the staff holding it during training.
“Parole denied,” she spoke before the blonde could say anything.
“Oh, thank god.”
“Because he lost this one, he forfeited his chance at 10 years, he has to do the whole 10 years.”
“That’s amazing Y/N! How are you doing?”
“I don’t even know if I have words for it right now. I’m so happy. But I hate that it’s all brought back up.”
“Just come home to me, darling.”
Y/N felt like she could breathe for the first time in days. She had won. She would be leaving here and going home to someone who was gentle with her and loved her.
Leah had all but begged Jonas to let her leave training as soon as the call disconnected, needing to be home for when Y/N would be there.
The blonde was ready for Y/N as soon as she came through the door, letting her collapse into her before the front door shut. Leah kicked a leg out to shut the door while her arms held Y/N tight against her. Y/N shuddered and allowed Leah to guide them to lay on the couch.
“You should be so proud of yourself,” Leah spoke softly.
Y/N trembled and shook her head against Leah’s chest, not wanting to hear any other soft words. Leah nodded, understand she didn’t need to say anything, simply running a finger single up and down Y/N’s spine.

the red traffic light glowed in the cold, dark night, forbidding you from shutting your eyes. your car's broken clock insisted it was 12:08 AM, though you knew it must be at least 4:08 AM. The familiar alleyway you always surveyed after your dreaded shift was usually populated by drug dealers, homeless souls, and discarded beer cans. tonight, however, a figure crouched there, clutching his right hand and gazing up at the moon...
fortunately a parking spot was open right after the traffic stop and you rush your first aid kit out of the back, pacing to this odd instance. running up to strange man at 4 in the morning wouldn’t be ideal, but you’re a doctor who believes there is good in everyone, and leaving someone hurt is morally wrong. your footsteps slow down as you approach him, eventually stopping to make out his face.
his face was illuminated by the moon he looked up to for hope. his eyes were sharp and dreamy, reminiscent of a fox’s gaze. a fresh scar ran down his left cheek, hinting at a serious injury. you couldn’t make anything else of his condition, but it seemed severe and the only solution would be taking him home to treat him.
“e-excuse me?”
his eyes flickered to the direction of your voice, squinting at your - not too appealing - presence. regardless of his beauty, his tattoos and shredded, soiled clothes lent him an intimidating feel.
“who are you?” his voice couldn’t be described as deep, but rather a large and empty void.
“im y/ln, doctor at the local hospital here. i noticed you looked injured and came to help”
“im fine”
you moved closer to him, shining a small flashlight on his body. the injuries were severe and far from fine. knife wounds, bruises and a split lip covered his body, causing him to lose more blood by the minute.
“im sorry, but i cannot leave you in this condition”
he grunted, his grip tightening on his hand, struggling to give you an audible response.
“just. leave.”
you act quick and throw his limp arm around your shoulder, guiding him slowly to your car. his blood seeped into your shirt, but what worried you more was his life being between your hands.
“fuck! can’t you see it’s an open wound?” your body jumped at his cries, feeling heavier with sympathy for him. you tried your best to disinfect his wounds gently, but the pain would be near intolerable.
“it’s almost over” you whispered to him, too focused to answer him back properly.
he sat on the sofa of your living room, taking in the art works you hung on the wall to distract him from the gruesome pain. every now and then he would flinch or grunt, but it’s nothing you’ve never dealt with before as a doctor.
you near the end of his ‘procedure’ and move to his face, inspecting the deep scar that ran across his cheek and his busted lip. a mix of disappointment and curiosity washed over you, expressed in a long sigh.
“what did you get yourself into?”
“nothing”
“what’s your name?” your questions were an attempt to distract the painful alcohol grazing his cuts, but his hissing and grunting never came to a stop.
“j-jeong in”
you repeat the name to yourself, its familiarity nudging at your head. while preparing the bandages, you couldn’t help but take in his strong facial features. he looks back at you too, eyes outlining every detail of your face. you couldn’t shake the feeling of familiarity, so you give it up to him being an old patient but a tattoo on his neck catches your eye, denying your conclusion.
(SKZ)
“SKZ? where have i heard that before?” it sounded like something that may have been in the newspapers they handed out to the doctors offices, or something on the news channel, but the lack of sleep wouldn’t be able to catch onto anything.
“you forced me into your home to fucking question me?!” he screamed at your face, looking at you in disgust. the words caught in your throat and you felt like crying, your thoughts crashing down. today had been stressful enough, and having someone scream at you was the last straw. jeongin notices the beads of tears forming on your waterline, changing his expression in a matter of seconds.
“please, just finish so i can leave” he sighs, turning to face the sunrise that peeked through the curtains. the teardrop falls on your leg and you return to what you should’ve been doing, feeling bad for the unnecessary confrontation you gave him.
a contact named “bang chan” buzzed his phone and he picks it up, placing it up to his ear and squirming at the pain of the alcohol on the scar of his cheek. you attempt to listen to some of the muffles from the other side, hoping you can conclude your suspicions about him.
jeongin- “yea?”
bang chan- “where are you man?”
jeongin- “getting treated by a random doctor in her house”
his eyes dart from his arm to your face, holding your gaze.
bang chan- “are you crazy? we are high profile by the police and you’re at a random doctors house?”
his tone was clearly sterner, but all the noises you could hear faded at the thought of having someone wanted infront of you. your body stiffens but you act clueless, worried of how dangerous he may be.
jeongin- “just… ill be back”
bang chan- “man this isn’t funny at all. you’re getting us in some deep shit”
jeongin- “she looks like she wouldn’t tell a soul”
bang chan- “a doctor? you couldn’t pick a worse person to help you?”
he scans your face for any fear or regret, but you hold back any emotions until he would be out of your house and safe.
bang chan- “god you’re so fucking oblivious. be here before the afternoon”
he laughs at his comment, ending the call.
you put all the equipment back to its place as jeongin sips on a mug of green tea, slouching on the couch. as a doctor you couldn’t let him out too early and he had to be watched for at least a day. but you were worried of his criminal state and if his friend would barge the door of your house open.
“you’ll need to rest. don’t get yourself involved in any of… that”
he nods, getting up to place his mug on the counter and head for the door.
“thank you. really”
you close your eyes, nodding at him and inspecting his bandages one more time.
“i owe you”
and with that, it would’ve been the last encounter with him. many questions ran through your head but it would autopilot to your couch, falling asleep to the memory of his ethereal but odd face.
the alleyway remained significant to you, always looking for him, or for another injured individual. but with the overflowing pressure of becoming a doctor and having no time to yourself, everything would fade away and it would become endless hours of work.
FIVE YEARS LATER
you parkoured between your new neighbors boxes to get to your door,
placing the groceries on the floor and rummaging for your key. your eyes couldn’t help but dart to the many boxes. the apartment next to you is finally occupied after a mysterious 3 years of nobody renting it.
at the collection of that thought, the door of the new neighbors unlocks, startling you. a mans back faced you, his hair orange, wearing a black leather jacket and black jeans. it was only when he turned that your heart may have stopped. his features were unmatched and unique, taking you a while to absorb before greeting him.
“hey! new neighbor?”
he didn’t respond for a while, looking at you with confusion.
“your name?”
“it’s y/n. im a doctor at the local hospital here. what about you?”
“jeongin”
recollections of that very night begin to flow through your mind and how everyday for weeks you stared into the dark alleyways, trying to picture his body there. immediately your eyes dart to his neck, only to find his tattoos slightly fading.
(SKZ)
your eyes dart back to his face, still questioning if it was true or not.

BETH sat in her car, the soft hum of the engine filling the silence as she stared at the dimly lit apartment building where Epiphany lived. This plan had been brewing in her mind for weeks, festering like a dark seed. She had watched Epiphany closely, memorizing her schedule, waiting for the right moment. Tonight, Epiphany was out with Rio, and that meant Beth had her chance. She adjusted the black gloves on her hands, checked her watch, and glanced at the small bag sitting in the passenger seat. Inside were the tools for her deception: a lock-picking kit and a few small bags for what she intended to take.
Stepping out of the car, Beth slipped into the shadows, careful to avoid the security cameras. She had paid attention to every detail of Epiphany’s life, knowing her routines, and some of her secrets. When she reached the apartment door, Beth worked quickly, picking the lock in under a minute. Once inside, she felt a strange sense of calm wash over her. She moved through the space like a ghost, her gloved fingers brushing over Epiphany’s belongings, her clothes, her shoes. Beth opened the closet and pulled out a leather jacket Epiphany often wore, followed by a pair of jeans and boots that would complete the look she needed. With everything carefully folded into her bag, Beth left the apartment as quietly as she had entered.
The next phase of her plan was more delicate. Beth had spent time finding a girl who looked remarkably like Epiphany. It hadn’t been easy, but desperation made people do strange things. The girl was younger, maybe a little slimmer, but with the right clothes and under the right light, she could easily pass for Epiphany. Beth had arranged a meeting with her earlier that week, explaining that she needed her help for a "photography project." The girl, a struggling actress, jumped at the opportunity. She had no idea the role she was about to play in ruining someone's life.
Two days later, Beth met with the girl in a dingy motel room on the outskirts of town. She handed her Epiphany's clothes, watching as the girl slipped into them, adjusting the jacket and smoothing out the jeans. “You look perfect,” Beth murmured, circling her like a director inspecting a scene. The resemblance was striking, enough to make Beth feel a twist of satisfaction in her gut. She had set up a meeting between the girl and a detective who had been investigating Rio for months. Ever Since the assination of agent Turner and his group of undercover detectives, another detective had replaced him. Of course, the girl didn’t know who he was—she believed it was all part of Beth's elaborate photo series. Beth had arranged everything so the meeting would appear secretive, suspicious even.
That night, Beth positioned herself in a car across from a small diner where the meeting was set to take place. She watched as the girl, dressed in Epiphany’s clothes, entered and sat at a booth. Moments later, the detective walked in, and Beth’s heart raced as she watched them shake hands and sit down, their conversation hidden behind the glass. Beth raised her camera and began snapping photos, capturing the way the light hit the girl's face, making her look so much like Epiphany that even Beth had to blink twice. The detective leaned in, speaking closely to the girl, and Beth took more photos—perfectly staged to look like they were sharing confidential information.
After an hour, the meeting ended, and Beth continued snapping pictures as the girl and the detective parted ways. She had what she needed. Later that night, in the solitude of her home, Beth sifted through the photos, editing them carefully. She adjusted the lighting, blurred some of the details, and most importantly, altered the timestamps. She wanted it to look like these meetings had been happening for weeks. The final product was a series of damning images that could easily be mistaken for Epiphany betraying Rio with law enforcement. Satisfied with her work, Beth transferred the photos onto a burner phone she had picked up earlier that week.
Beth hesitated for a moment, her finger hovering over the "send" button. This was the moment of truth, where everything would either fall apart or go exactly as she planned. With a deep breath, she pressed send, watching as the message was delivered to Mick. The photos, carefully staged and edited, would tear his world apart. Beth knew him well enough to know that trust, once broken, could never be fully repaired. And this? This would break him in ways he couldn’t even imagine. With a smile, Beth tossed the phone into a nearby trash bin and walked away, feeling a weight lift off her chest as she disappeared into the night to accompany Ruby to a bar.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Epiphany was swallowed by the sea of people on campus. A few classmates from her psychology class had invited her to their pre-Christmas bash, and after weeks of being alone in her apartment, she couldn’t resist the temptation. Rio had been in Tokyo for the last three weeks, and although she had once been thrilled by the idea of some quiet time to herself, the loneliness had quickly settled in, like a heavy blanket she couldn’t shake off.
The party was a welcome distraction, a chaos of lights and music that buzzed through her body, pulling her out of her thoughts. As the techno beat thumped against her chest, she felt herself lose the grip on everything else—her worries, her doubts—swept away in the rhythm of the crowd. The pressure of the bass vibrated through her feet, making her legs move without thinking, her body slipping into the groove effortlessly.
Her hips swayed against the bodies of her classmates, her raven curls bouncing in time with the beat. The music surrounded her like an ocean tide, pulling her further from herself with every thump of the bass. She caught flashes of faces around her—grinning, carefree—and for a moment, she felt part of something bigger, the chaos of the crowd absorbing her. But then, as quickly as the euphoria came, it retreated.
Her mind wandered back to Rio. Three weeks. Three weeks since she had felt the warmth of his touch, heard his voice beside her at night, tangled in blankets. Was he thinking of her, or was Tokyo keeping him too busy? She should’ve been happy he was away, letting him get his own space. But tonight, as she danced with strangers, she couldn’t ignore the gnawing feeling that she was simply filling a void until his return.
She closed her eyes, losing herself to the beat again, but this time, her movements were just a little slower, a little more deliberate. Was she dancing for herself? Or was it for Rio, in some strange way, a dance she could give him when he came back? Her classmates were laughing around her, but she wasn’t sure if she was laughing with them—or at herself.
One of her classmates, Jessica wrapped her arms around her waist and whispered into her ear, “ Hey Piffy, wanna bump a line? You’re looking too sober for this kind of night."
Epiphany shot her a smile. She’d been avoiding drugs lately—she didn’t want to lose control, didn’t want to feel any more disconnected than she already did. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt. She took a breath, about to accept, when a thought struck her, sharp and almost funny. She twisted around in an exaggerated spin, her body brushing against Samara’s, her hands snaking up to loop around Samara’s neck.
“No thanks, I’m trying to get pregnant,” Epiphany murmured into Samara’s ear, her voice dripping with a playful, flirtatious edge.
Samara blinked, startled at first, and then let out a loud, infectious laugh. Her hands came up to push Epiphany lightly in mock protest, but there was an underlying curiosity in her eyes. “What, you think you’re going to get knocked up here?” she asked, her tone teasing but with an edge of seriousness.
Epiphany let out a laugh that wasn’t entirely real. It was a joke, of course. At least, that’s what she told herself. The idea of wanting something so tangible, so real, something as permanent as a baby, had crossed her mind more than once, but she quickly pushed the thought away. It wasn’t even practical. And yet, the words hung in the air between them like something she couldn’t erase.
She swirled her drink in the air, pretending to focus on the rhythm of the music rather than the growing tension between her and Samara. The laughter around them seemed louder now, more distant. Samara was easy to be around. She wasn’t trying to fix Epiphany, or ask too many questions about Rio or why she was here, alone.
Epiphany met Samara’s gaze again, suddenly aware of how close they were, her arms still loosely draped around Samara’s neck. It wasn’t the first time she’d found herself drawn to someone like this—not a romantic attraction, but a kind of magnetic pull. Samara’s proximity felt strange, not like the tension she had with Rio, but it was enough to make her skin buzz, her heart racing in an unfamiliar way.
“Seriously, though,” Samara said, her eyes narrowing, studying Epiphany with a mix of amusement and curiosity, “is it just me, or are you way too quiet tonight? You’re not usually so reserved.”
Epiphany hesitated for a moment, her fingers tapping lightly on Samara’s shoulder. “Maybe I’m just not feeling it,” she said, her voice quieter now, the humor fading slightly. It wasn’t a lie, exactly—she was just hiding the deeper things she didn’t want to confront. She didn’t want to talk about Rio or what was left unsaid between them. She didn’t want to think about how empty this all felt.
The song changed, the tempo shifting to something slower, more sultry. The crowd around them seemed to melt away as the night wore on, leaving just the pulsing beat and the dizzying effect of the flashing lights.
Her gaze drifted, and she spotted a group of people huddled by the bar, laughing with the kind of carefree joy she hadn’t felt in a long time. Was she jealous of them? Or just of the idea that they could be so free, so unburdened? She wasn’t sure, but she felt a pang of longing that she quickly masked with a smile.
Epiphany shifted, stepping back slightly from Samara, feeling the disconnection creep back in. It was as if the night had gone from a blur of excitement to a moment of painful clarity. She could almost hear her own thoughts, loud and intrusive. What was she doing here?
“Anyway,” Epiphany said, her voice lighter again as she stepped back, raising her hands in mock surrender. “I think I’ll stick to the caffeine for tonight. Who knows? Maybe I’ll start making my own little army of babies later, after all.”
Samara laughed again, and the sound was like a momentary escape. But as the music pulsed on, Epiphany felt the familiar ache settle back into her chest. She was surrounded by people, but still, somehow, she couldn’t shake the feeling of being alone.
Epiphany wasn’t the only one who felt empty and alone without their lover, Rio had felt the same, despite successfully securing a transportation of machinery and new-age technology. As he sat cozily in first class, rio sulked in his feelings of longing for Epiphany.his relationship with Epiphany had only deepened, solidifying the partnership he never knew he needed. She was unlike anyone he'd ever been with—smart, fierce, and loyal. Trust was hard to come by in his world, but Epiphany had earned it, and that made her the most important thing in his life. He took a sip from his glass, his mind drifting to the plans they had for the future.
A tap on his shoulder interrupted his thoughts.”You gotta see this,” Mick informed him as he passed Rio the phone.his brow furrowing as he scrolled through the photos that appeared. The first image showed a woman, wearing a familiar leather jacket, sitting at a diner. He blinked, his pulse quickening. The jacket was Epiphany’s—he had seen her wear it a hundred times before. He swiped to the next image, his grip on the phone tightening. The woman was shaking hands with a man.
The next few photos made his stomach drop. The man was Detective Hawthorne, the very same detective who had been hounding him for months, trying to bring him down. And the woman—he squinted at the screen—looked too much like Epiphany for it to be a coincidence. The clothes, the way she held herself, the shape of her face. But there was something off, something that made him hesitate. The photos were blurry in parts, the lighting soft and grainy, but it was close enough to plant the seed of doubt.
Rio swiped through the images again, each one more damning than the last. The timestamps were from different days, spread out over weeks. How could he not have noticed? The girl in the photos—Epiphany—looked deep in conversation with Detective Hawthorne, almost intimate. His chest tightened, rage bubbling beneath the surface as his mind raced. He thought about the nights she said she was out with friends, or running errands, or busy with work. Could she have been meeting with a cop all this time? He slammed the phone down on the arm rest,as he fought to keep his composure.
His mind whirled with possibilities. Was this a setup? Could someone be trying to get inside his head, break the trust between him and Epiphany? Or worse—could it be true? He had enemies, plenty of them, but the photos looked real enough to make him question everything. He didn’t want to believe it, but he’d seen enough betrayal in his life to know how easily things could turn.
The spark of warmth within his heart told him his thoughts were of paranoia and that this was more elebroate plan from someone else.
He stared at the last photo, the one that sent a jolt of pain straight to his core—Epiphany, or someone who looked exactly like her, leaning in close to Detective Turner, as if whispering something in his ear. The image was grainy, but the implication was clear; someone was trying to frame Epiphany.
“What are you thinking, man? It looks fraudulent.” Mick commented.
“It is fraudulent.” Rio agreed, he then proceeded to pass Mick the phone,”Which is why it’s time to tie up loose ends and clean up this mess.”
Later on, once the plane landed and Rio was situated in his car his fingers tapping against the steering wheel as the phone rang. When Epiphany picked up, her voice was bright, excited, even playful.
"Hey, Papí! Thought you’d forgotten about me. How was Tokyo?"
Rio felt the familiar warmth of her voice but forced himself to keep his tone steady, detached. “Productive. Got what I needed done,” he replied, his words clipped, almost rehearsed.
“Productive, huh?” she laughed softly. “That’s all you got for me? I was hoping for a little more than that.”
“What else is there to say, Piff? It was business,” he said flatly, his eyes narrowing as he stared out the window, his mind still buzzing with the images he’d seen.
There was a brief pause on the other end before Epiphany’s voice came back, softer, cautious. “...Is everything alright? You sound… off.”
Rio swallowed, feeling the familiar knot tighten in his stomach. “Just been thinkin. A lot can happen when you’re away, yea?”
Epiphany’s laugh was shaky. “Guess I can relate. You’ve been gone almost a month. I’ve… missed you.”
“Yeah, it’s a long time,” he said, his voice quiet, almost hollow. He’d thought he’d feel better being back in the same city, but the doubt gnawed at him, sharper than ever.
Her tone softened, laced with concern. “Chris, what’s going on? You don’t sound like yourself.”
He was silent for a moment, choosing his words carefully. “I just have a lot on my mind, Piff. We all make choices, don’t we?”
A beat of silence hung between them before she spoke again, her voice trembling. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Nothing,” he replied, his voice guarded. “Just a reminder that trust isn’t something to take lightly.”
The hurt in her voice was unmistakable. “You’re talking in riddles. Just tell me what’s really going on.”
Rio clenched his jaw, his hand tightening on the phone. “I will. Soon. But for now, I need to think some things through. Without distractions.”
Her voice dropped to a whisper, a hurt edge seeping through. “Am I a distraction to you now?”
The question caught him off guard, slicing through his resolve. He fought to keep his tone even. “I’m just saying I need space. Clarity.”
“I thought we were clear, Rio. I thought we were solid…” Her voice broke slightly, and he felt a pang he couldn’t shake, but he forced himself to ignore it.
“I thought so too. But things change. Like I said… people make choices.”
“Then just say it,” she whispered, barely audible. “If I did something wrong, just say it.”
Rio exhaled, trying to keep his voice steady, his tone neutral. “Let’s meet next week. We’ll talk. Figure it out.”
The line was quiet for a moment before she responded, her voice low. “Yeah… alright. Be safe.”
“You too, Piff.” He hung up, the hollow echo of her words lingering in his mind.

It Was Just The Wind
Warhammer40k reader insert concept one shot (may be others...)
I have many fast thoughts and sometimes it's difficult for me to organize my ideas, but sometimes, certain ones stick, like this one. For my usual Welcome Home fans on here, I hope you don't mind, but there really isn't anyone doing reader inserts and I feel it's my responsibility now to make some. Concept: When you sleep, their universe goes quiet, a ghost town, save for powerful beings that stay behind, and you take the place of the beings that once existed there, free to roam around unbothered. For now at least. Read the bottom for details on this concept.
It was just like the other nights, all the same but also different. Once you felt yourself drift into slumber you had these vivid and all too real dreams. This was something you assumed to be just lucid dreaming, something that happened when a person became self-aware of their own dream.
That was until you got hurt.
You remember it clearly as if it happened just yesterday. In the "dream" there was the skull of...something. It was metallic and covered in neon green fluids. An object stuck out from the side of it's face, a chain-saw? Or was it a sword? A sword-saw you concluded. It was large but clearly man-made.
In an attempt to get a closer look, you slipped on the green liquid and landed on top of the strange skull. The sharp edges of the head sliced the flesh of your arm, leaving a long gash with no blood. You didn't react, not feeling anything, you assumed it was because you were dreaming. No blood came dripping out. It was as if it didn't happen... Suddenly feeling strange, you felt yourself begin to stir and wake.
Eyes shooting open, you looked down with blurry vision as a burning sensation spread throughout your arm. The bed was covered in fresh blood. There was blood dripping from a fresh wound...there was blood dripping from a fresh wound-
Panicking, you stumbled out of bed and ran to the bathroom, opening the cabinet to take out the first aid kit you never thought you would need.
You quickly debated washing the wound but decided against it, it's too deep to do that. You got the pads out and started applying pressure as the gauze was slowly wrapped around, finishing it off with the bandages. It was rushed, but that would have to do for now. You were going to the hospital even though it was late. This was far too much blood for you to ignore.
Getting in the car a bit woozy, you started driving.
It was quiet when you walked in, and surprisingly empty for the most part, only one or two other people were there. When a nurse finally checked on you, you gave the poor excuse that you fell on a sharp metal scrap when walking out in the dark. The nurse gave you a questioning look but got someone to start treating you regardless. You were still trying to process what happened...how it happened, still in shock.
-
The next few nights were absolute nightmares. You didn't want to go back to sleep after that. It was scary to think about. Maybe you were attacked in your sleep? If so, then you should have called the police to check the house. But then again, no one was there when you woke up. It was just you. All alone.
You grew sleep-deprived as the days went by, thankful you have a week off from work due to your injury, but oh, sleep culled you. Your body screamed for rest. So you gave in.
It was different each time like before. You have seen so many places now just by sleeping. Of course you explored with caution now, fully aware that getting hurt wherever there was, would result in injury to yourself here in your own body.
Eventually you had begun making literal maps of these places. Your memory was so fresh that each time you awoke you sketched landmarks and whatever else would help with mapping. It was strange and scary at first, but over time you grew to love these little adventures in dreamland.
There was what you assumed to be different planets with aliens and their own cultures. At least that's what you could guess from what was left behind. You felt like an archeologist almost. You did wonder though, why did everything look so fresh? There were no living beings around each time you visited, at least none you had come across yet.
Regardless of the strange circumstances, adventure called to you, so you slept.
This dream was different from the rest.
Tonight, you found your conscious in what looked like a cathedral or some kind of golden palace. Statues, stained glass windows, and art surrounded the halls. You followed along a grand hall slowly, taking everything in. You did not want to forget a single detail from tonight. It was beautiful. So ethereal.
Hallways looped around in one big circle from what you could tell, leading to a center hallway, that must be main path.
Quickly walking down the hallway, you stopped and looked up.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me..."
Stairs upon stairs stacked each other, leading up to what must be a throne room. Each step was human-sized, if human-sized humans were 7ft giants. You felt like a child trying to get up the stairs. But that wasn't going to stop the ever-growing curiosity in you. Lifting yourself up, you started walking up the stairway as best you could. One big step at a time.
Finally reaching the last set of stairs you sighed. You were going to be exhausted when you woke up for sure.
Rolling onto your side, you sat up almost immediately, not needing endurance in your dreams as you scanned your surroundings. It was more beautiful up here than anywhere else. Pillars were decorated in what looked like long strips of paper with unknown language written on them, something you saw often on battlefields attached to pieces of armor and sometimes guns. You wished you could stay here forever, it was so grand and dreamy to look at.
A small noise caught your attention. Something creaked shortly a few times before stopping again. You looked behind you for the sound, finally noticing the gigantic throne built into the wall.
There, sat what looked like the skeleton of a human, a large human. That must have been why everything here is so big. It's for these guys.
You slowly started walking towards the throne for a closer look, throwing your previous caution to the wind. The skeleton had wires and strange machines threading through the body, connecting to the armrests and behind the backseat. A single lens stuck out from one eye socket with another optic sealed behind.
Unable to reach the throne steps without climbing it, you decided to just look from a distance. You didn't want to be disrespectful even if this stranger was dead. Deciding to just look, not touch, you put your hands together to give a small prayer for the stranger. Whatever happened to them must have been awful. The prayer wasn't towards any particular god or religion, it was just something open-ended that you often did for others. Another creak sounded, grabbing your attention. This time the sound was right in front of you. You squinted...
The tips of the fingers were moving, gripping the very ends of the armrests.
Strong skeletal fingers left indents in the armrests, moving so slowly you wouldn't even know there was movement save for the throne creaking under the pressure. This person was still alive. There was someone alive here with you.
Your voice was caught in your throat as you looked up to stare into the skeleton's optics. There was no signs of life in them, no movement to take note of. So how is this happening...
"Ah!-"
You flinched grabbing the front of your head.
There was a sharp pain and then a swirling fuzzy feeling. It slowly spread downwards to the rest of your body. You slumped forwards before falling over, struggling to move your limbs that grew numb, everything felt so weird. It was like something-someone was trying to use your limbs for you, you felt like a puppet.
Struggling, you managed to fight back the numbing sensations and look once more at the throne. A single red eye stared back you.
The blankets went flying as you yelled, arms flailing and legs kicking now able to move. You sat stunned for a few moments, before finally processing what happened. "I think I need a therapist."
Looking at the clock, it read 7:45AM.
With a sigh you got up to make breakfast, maybe next time you'll find some answers.
-
It was strange. Well, everything has been strange recently. Rumors of The Emperor returning have been spreading all over the planet. But there has yet to be proof, only some bits here and there saying that the throne's armrests have been destroyed. Some say that it was the shear will of The Emperor's might that let him wake if only for a moment, and some say that the throne just needs to be maintained. There has been much speculation and no answers.
Whatever the answer is, it doesn't change the excitement that comes from said rumors, it has boosted the morale and spirit of mankind. But it also does not explain the memory relapses.
Everyone has experienced it almost daily now, even the xeno enemies that threaten humanity.
Short periods of times, usually seconds or milliseconds, lost. Not one person can remember those moments. It's like no one was around. As short of a time as it was, it still concerned many.
It's almost like nothing, but there was something. Who knows, maybe it was just the wind.
-
Some things I wanted to clarify about this concept:
The reader is not affected and can not interact with The Warp or deamons because the reader does not exist to them technically, they aren't from that universe. If a deamon tried possession it'd be like trying to posses a thought, not a physical being. Think of the reader as a projection or astral projection. You are there but not really. there's no real body...buuut, the reader can interact with physical structures or dead bodies. Things that aren't alive.
Because of #1, it is assumed that the reader can not be seen, heard, smelled, or felt by anyone either (unless they're powerful enough). Though I don't think you would want to test that out in the 40k universe, let's just stay hidden yeah?
Once the reader wakes back up, everything that did not exist previously in the 40k universe comes back as if nothing happened, as if no time at all passed. Save for the few beings that did stay along with anything that is dead. Some beings remember these strange events. They know...and oh, looks like you might have left a evidence of your presence behind. Maybe you aren't as invisible as you thought.
Why did this happen? Let's just say something or someone made a connection to the conscious of the reader, making them a conductor to The Warp or whatever was used to do this. It could have been anything really, maybe a Librarian? Perhaps someone greater did this...maybe The Emperor. He might not be physically able-bodied, but he defiantly seems to be mentally and phykilogically(phykerly?) there.
Forgive me if I got some things wrong biologically, I only have first aid training so I was writing based on that. You'd be shocked at how little blood it takes for you to pass out or die. Our skin also slices pretty easily so I wouldn't be surprised if someone sliced their whole arm open from falling on something as small as aa sheet of metal.
I know Warhammer 40k reader insert fanfictions are not as popular, but I really do want to explore that and come up with concepts that would fit and make sense such as this one with a 21st century reader.

I'm so glad someone else brought up how insular IDW felt, I thought I was insane for thinking along the lines of a similar thing. To me IDW1 felt like a continuity made by the fandom for the fandom, and despite some of its great writing decisions it often felt flat and hollow in a lot of important aspects. The lack of communication between writers and failure to maintain basic narrative and thematic cohesion as well as characterization reminded me a lot of in-fandom arguments over interpretations and headcanons
It took on too much and stretched itself thin resulting in sidelined characters, bastardized character dynamics/relationships or forgotten plots. People praised IDW1's lore and worldbuilding but personally I don't think there was much of it at all and very little of it was to a good enough standard when you consider how long IDW held the licence. It told us a lot and yet nothing at all, which would have been a genius move had it at all been intentional– something I often found myself saying in relation to IDW1 and content inspired by it, which was around post 2010-ish give or take probably
Like I said, I firmly believe that IDW was essentially made by fandom, for fandom, but a very, very narrow cross-section of such. James Roberts, who was arguably the architect for most of it, was a fanfic writer and someone who wanted to make elements of his fanfics canon. Many of the writers were buddy-buddy with TFWiki moderators and the dingus behind Shortpacked, oftentimes parroting their opinions, which was that if you didn't like what they were making, you were a chud or a creep that wanted the entire brand to be Kiss Players. Especially as romance became more and more of a focus on the series, the idea was not "This is boring, I want to see robots punching each other and blowing things up", but "I don't want to see this because it's gay", which is a far easier position to defend. Even when they lost the license, Kit Harrison of IDW insinuated that the complaints were all homophobic in nature.
As an aside, while I think Kiss Players was terrible, it was literally nothing but a side-story manga and some collector's toys. That would be like me saying all the Western-created Transformers media is garbage because of The Car Wash of Doom, Afterdeath, that scene in Age of Extinction where the guy spells out the Romeo and Juliet Law in detail, the complete waste of Sir Anthony Hopkins that was The Last Knight, The Rebirth, numerous parts of Cyberverse, the WFC Trilogy, etc.
Anyway, because the audience was so narrow, it made sense that the audience that it did cultivate was so passionate about the material, but Greek to any audience outside of it, resulting in low sales and general dismissal from a casual audience. Any similarities to how fanfic is written, especially fanfic that has an active follower community and people addressing the work in progress, were purposeful, because that was the world that the writers came from, and the world that they were used to.
And then there were the attempts to integrate those ideas into shows, as shown by WFC not getting a sequel because Netflix said no, as well as Cyberverse and now Earthspark toys rotting on shelves in your local Ollies or Lot Less.
My conclusion remains the same. IDW was overly insular, fanfic-style writing, for people who liked that, and they could not care one iota about anyone outside of that little circle. Especially if you were a fan of super robots, humans that weren't complete jerks, or the mystic elements of the Transformers mythos. And this is why now even Duke's miniseries pretty much outsells anything that IDW published. (To be fair, Duke's miniseries is pretty good).

The Role of Paint Correction in Vehicle Detailing Services
Your vehicle is more than just a mode of transportation—it’s an investment and often a reflection of your personality. Over time, your car's exterior can lose its sparkle due to scratches, swirl marks, and imperfections. This is where paint correction steps in, restoring your car’s beauty and enhancing its value. If you're serious about keeping your vehicle looking flawless, services like best Paint Correction in Melbourne play a pivotal role in achieving that showroom shine.
What Is Paint Correction?
Paint correction involves the meticulous process of removing imperfections from your car's paintwork, such as:
Swirl marks
Fine scratches
Water sports
Oxidation
Professionals use machine polishers and specialised compounds to smooth out the clear coat, restoring a glossy, mirror-like finish. Unlike simple polishing, paint correction targets deeper imperfections, leaving your car with a refined surface that makes heads turn.
Why Paint Correction Matters for Your Car
a. Restores the Original Beauty
Every car deserves to look its best. Over time, exposure to harsh weather, improper washing techniques, and environmental contaminants can dull its appearance. Paint correction revives the original vibrancy of your vehicle, making it look like it just rolled off the lot.
With services like Melbourne Paint Correction, your car's exterior transforms into a pristine masterpiece, free from blemishes that distract from its design.
b. Protects Against Long-Term Damage
Scratches and swirl marks don’t look bad—they can also expose your car’s paint to further damage. These imperfections allow moisture and contaminants to penetrate the clear coat, leading to rust or more significant paint deterioration.
By opting for professional paint correction, you’re not just improving aesthetics; you’re safeguarding your vehicle from costly repairs in the future.
c. Enhances Resale Value
When it’s time to sell or trade in your car, appearance matters. Buyers are naturally drawn to vehicles that look well-maintained. A glossy, scratch-free surface reflects care and attention, increasing the perceived value of your car.
Opting for Melbourne Paint Correction ensures that your car stands out, giving you an edge in the resale market.
The Process of Paint Correction
a. Inspection
Every paint correction job begins with a thorough inspection of your vehicle's exterior. Professionals assess the depth and type of imperfections to determine the best approach.
b. Preparation
Before correction begins, the car undergoes deep cleaning and decontamination. This step removes dirt, grime, and pollutants that could interfere with the process.
c. Correction
Using machine polishers and specialised pads, experts work in stages, starting with heavy compounds for deep imperfections and finishing with finer polishes for a smooth, glossy finish.
d. Protection
Once corrected, the paintwork is sealed with a protective coating like wax, sealant, or ceramic coating to maintain its brilliance and prevent new imperfections.
Why Choose Professional Paint Correction Services?
While DIY kits might seem tempting, true paint correction requires skill, precision, and the right tools. Professional services like Melbourne Paint Correction ensure your car receives expert care, leaving no room for error.
a. Expertise You Can Trust
Professionals understand the intricacies of various paint types and conditions. Their expertise ensures that imperfections are removed without damaging the clear coat.
b. Access to High-Quality Tools
Experts use advanced equipment and products that deliver superior results. From rotary polishers to premium compounds, they have everything needed for a flawless finish.
Conclusion
Paint correction is more than a cosmetic upgrade—it’s an investment in your vehicle’s long-term beauty and value. From restoring your car’s original shine to protecting it from future damage, this service offers unmatched benefits for car enthusiasts and everyday drivers.
If you want to elevate your car’s appearance, trust the experts in Melbourne Paint Correction to deliver outstanding results. Let your vehicle shine with a finish that turns heads wherever you go.
