I just know that Captain America: The Winter Soldier came out almost 10 years ago because if it were released now the world wouldn't know how to handle this:
Tumblr media
CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS WITH THE WAY SOCIAL MEDIA ARE NOW???

And with Sebastian looking like this?

Definitely my favourite bucky phase int the MCU, and I'm mad that they didn't explode his potential.

Alright, let's go in order...
I'm intrigued by what Doomsday could be. I'm still not a fan of the fact that they chose RDJ for Doctor Doom when an Romani actor would be much more appropriate. Still, I think SOME kind of good story can come out of it if treated right. It's just a matter of waiting and seeing.
Secret Wars...should NOT be a movie. I tried reading the event comic, and it's way too interesting of a concept to make up a movie. The BOLD choice would be for it to take up a whole saga, showing each section of Doom's land before taking him on in a final battle with all these Avenger variants. That could be exciting, but it's likely what we WON'T see, instead favoring a quick movie showing off small bits of the land as a group of Avengers fight through it. Which would be fun, but a missed potential for what Secret Wars is.
I'm STILL intrigued by what Fantastic Four: First Steps could be. I've seen the first look, and I think this is the right direction to take these characters in and it could be the most unique movie the MCU has ever made...Just PLEASE delay it so you can let it cook. You don't NEED this to compete with James Gunn's Superman, a movie that's already wrapped up on filming and going into post production while this movie just started filming days ago. Give the Fantastic Four the time they need to be good because the world doesn't need a FOURTH bad Fantastic Four movie.
Spider-Man 4 NEEDS to be good. No Way Home had such a great ending that if you really NEED to continue things after that, the film needs to justify its existence with a worthy script that carries the emotional weight that the last movie left on. PLEASE don't undo everything Peter did right away. Let the consequences STICK and give him his happy ending in another movie.
Still not watching Captain America: Brave New World. I don't care how interesting it looks, I'm sticking to my morals on this one. Maybe I'll watch it through special means one day, but that's about it.
I'm hopeful for Shang-Chi 2. I'm one of the few who actually LOVED the first movie and I really want to see this character again. It's just a shame that he got sidelined for a whole bunch of other new characters that the MCU hasn't done ANYTHING with either.
I'm not going to be the asshole who'll go, "Who ASKED for a Wonder Man show?" If we started asking questions like that, we wouldn't HAVE the MCU. No one was begging for an Iron Man movie in 2008, and it was still the biggest spark that launched a dozen projects despite no one really wanting it. HOWEVER, I'm going to instead be that asshole who points out that the MCU kind of lost faith in introducing new characters because of how faulty of a job they've been doing. I WANT to be excited, but I can't be anymore. Especially since I'm not really a Wonder Man fan. He's so...not interesting.
The production hell Blade has gone through and continues to go through, it'll take a fucking MIRACLE for this movie to not only come out but to be GOOD.
I'm curious of what Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man could be at this point. At first it was meant to be the origin story behind MCU Peter Parker, but now it's become more it's own thing as a semi-original series and I'm curious to see what comes of it. I'm always keeping my eye out for Spider-Man stuff, as a loyal fan would, but I'm gonna need to see more of a trailer to determine if it'll be good.
Still do not have high hopes for Thunderbolts.
STILL on my hands and knees PRAYING for Daredevil: Born Again to be good! PLEASE LET IT BE GOOD!
Ironheart...Still trying to think of a way Ironheart could be good...
Armor Wars COULD be fun. I THINK they're making it a movie instead of a series, which I'm for. Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Secret Invasion didn't really NEED to be stretched out into a mini-series when making a movie might have worked better in their favor by cutting out the fluff and making things go by a lot faster. And this is from a guy who LIKES Falcon and the Winter Soldier...Secret Invasion however can go to hell. And I REALLY hope that Armor Wars doesn't confirm that War Machine has been a Skrull since Civil War. That's NOT A GOOD IDEA!
I like the idea behind Marvel Zombies, I'm intrigued by what an TV-MA animated mini-series of survivors surviving a superhero zombie apocalypse can be. Just...maybe cut out the jokes that took up too much time in the What If episode.
Not sure what Eyes of Wakanda could be, but I'm not complaining yet. Always interested in Wakanda stuff.
Saw the trailer for Agatha All Along, and, son of a bitch, it might just be good. IF DONE RIGHT. That's an important distinction. This show could be good if done RIGHT. We'll just have to wait and see.
I'm excited for What If Season Three because I still really like What If. It's my favorite dumb fun show. I don't WANT it to be the last season because...that's a show with endless possibilities. Don't limit it to three seasons when you could go on for, like, eight before things get stale. Just PLEASE keep it going.
Okoye...Is she getting a series or a movie. I hope it's a movie because WHAT could Okoye do that justifies her having a TV show?
Not sure what Sidewinder is but...maybe it'll be good? Honestly, it depends on...whatever the fuck it is. What is it?!
I'm EXCITED for X-Men Season Two! LOVED the first season and I can't wait for more! Season Three is where I get a little wary because that's the season where the showrunner of What If takes the reigns because the last guy got fired for...reasons. And as much as I like What If...X-Men 97 is TEN TIMES better, being the best X-Men content fans got in YEARS (if you ignore the comics). If you're going to replace the showrunner, you need someone who can match their talent.
I'm not sure what the live-action Wakanda series could be and how that's different from Eyes of Wakanda...but I want it to be good. MAKE IT GOOD!
Hey! We're finally getting an answer to what the fuck Vision has been up to since WandaVision. That only took...way too long.
Nova. Nova, Nova, Nova...What could they even do with Nova at this point?
And I'm grateful for getting a Marvel Special Presentation. They're short and fun and easy to get into. A lot more than I can say about other shows on Disney+
And that's everything...I'm barely excited for ANY of this. I'm cautiously optimistic about a lot of projects here and vaguely curious about some of them all while BEGGING for each project to be good. I WANT them to be good. I want the MCU to IMPROVE instead of continuing on its decline since Endgame. Just PLEASE let it improve, that's all I'm asking for.

captain america: the winter soldier is about american policing, actually, i’ve decided.
what do you do when the nazis and white supremacists have infiltrated your law enforcement agency to the point that they’re integral to its operation and indistinguishable from the other officers agents?  what do you do when, even though YOU’RE good and you know good people who work here now and you believe in the mission, you know that the bad guys have worked here since the beginning.  when, in fact, the bad guys helped shape it and make it what it is today?
you burn the whole fucking thing down.  you gut it.  you expose, disarm, and put away the nazis and the white supremacists and the violent extremists just in it for kicks.  you shut down the organization and leave its heavy mutilated carcass to rot.

For @phodoodle, who won one of my @marveltrumpshate 2020 Auctions. This is the first of eight aesthetics, I’ll be making for Phoebe, so here you are!
Sam Wilson, Shuri, Bucky Barnes.
Based off their story ‘Go Slow Go Slow - Wakanda Princess Remix (feat. Shuri)’.
~*~            ~*~            ~*~            ~*~            ~*~
“So,” said Shuri, once she finished ordering for them both. “Is it true you talk to birds?”
Sweating can of beer halfway to his mouth, Sam paused. “Who told you that? And don’t say ‘a little birdie.’”
Shuri wrinkled her nose, “I would not stoop to puns. However, I am wondering—”
Sam raised an eyebrow, taking a swallow of cool deliciousness.
“Because there are birds that smash into the windows at my lab; do you think you could convince them to change their flightpath?”
“You’re serious?” Sam said, pausing as steaming plates of stew arrived, accompanied by a platter of flat round breads. Across from him, Shuri’s guileless expression held for two beats, three . . . then she broke and cackled her amusement.
Sopping stew with her bread, she said, “Your face!”

Bi(e)tter Life - Chapter Three
Steve Rogers x enhanced!Reader
Word Count: 1,2k
Summary: Steve Rogers is determined to take down all the HYDRA agents still operating. Among them, he knows there is his childhood best friend, Bucky, but he still doesn’t know he isn’t the only person from his past coming back to life.
“We’re playing, dear Avengers.”
“Don’t try my patience. Come out and fight”, Natasha shouted, bashing the strange entity, which was speaking to them, but it still hadn’t shown its real form, “Do it, or I’ll blow this house up”.
“How brave from you.”
As the suspicious being talked, the Avengers saw little flames coming down from the stairs and then something really unusual happened: the flames gave birth to a bigger fire which surrounded them and didn’t allow them to move towards other directions. Some of them, instead, formed a line which went upstairs.
“Come up, if you really want to fight me”, the fire grew even more, and the entity saw the Avengers coming closer. Steve Rogers was trying to use the shield to protect himself from the flames, Tony Stark tried to use the fire extinguisher inside his armor, and Bucky, together with Natasha, were trying to find the origin of that fire, “What’s wrong, Romanoff? You don’t know how to come upstairs?”
Natasha found it hard to accept the fact that the entity was right: she couldn’t have left the circle of fire without getting burnt, or worse die. “Rogers, do we have a plan?”
The Captain noticed that the fire wasn’t naturally generated, which meant they had to do with some kind of supernatural entity, “We don’t want to hurt you, just-“ he hadn’t the time to end his sentence that Natasha and Bucky were throwing a grenade on the steps, “Are you out of your mind?” he kept the fire opened with his shield and helped the Black Widow and his best friend to escape the fire, meanwhile Tony Stark flew away, making a hole in the roof, escaped by himself.
Thirty seconds after they had left the house, it blew up. Wooden pieces fell from the sky upon the Avengers, who were looking at the ruins build-up right in front of them. Steve was out of words; he just couldn’t believe at his own eyes.
“Why would you do that?” Steve was about to lose it; he turned towards his fellows and looked straight at the red-haired woman, still holding her gun up.
“It is dead now, whatever it was.”
There was a minute of silence before the ground started trembling and the Avengers had to hold each other in order not to fall. Tony anchored himself to the ground, meanwhile Natasha and Bucky stood up not believing at their own eyes. Steve kept staring at his friends.
“A grenade won’t stop me, Black Widow”, the fire died down all of a sudden and a majestic figure appeared from under the ruins of the house. It was definitely a woman. Long straight blonde hair, pale skin, slim body. Her eyes shined of an extremely light blue, which soon went covering her whole body. In a matter of seconds, she became made of ice.
The Avengers couldn’t believe at their own eyes. In all those years they had seen some really strange things, but they had never seen anything like that: a person who could transform herself in one of the elementals. The question that needed to be answered, according to Tony, was: were there other three of her? Other people who could control fire, earth and wind?
Though, Iron Man didn’t know how powerful you actually were. That’s why you caught him by surprise when a creeper rolled up around his arm and his fellows’. They all seemed more than surprised to acknowledge that you were much more powerful than what they had imagined. Steve and Bucky exchanged a look and in that precise moment you noticed there was something familiar in their faces, although you just couldn’t remember where you had met them yet. Or probably they were just another HYDRA mission you couldn’t conclude because you were too human for their methods.
“Alright then, we’re here just to talk”, Stark removed his mask and looked straight at you, flying above their heads, “So…can you come down, maybe we can talk face to face?” with his usual irony, Tony Stark tried to mitigate the tension, but he still hadn’t understood he was talking with someone who didn’t care who she had in front of her eyes.
You just wanted revenge and your only goal was to destroy the HYDRA.
“You can’t defeat me, dear Avengers.”
“We don’t want to. I just needed time”, a second after you were taken down by a Stark’s contraption which hit you from behind and made you fall on the ground. You couldn’t hold your form anymore, so you transformed into yourself and closed your eyes.
Steve and Natasha came closer to your body, thinking you were actually dead, but they soon noticed you were still breathing, only not responding. The woman kneeled by your side and checked your heartbeat. Then it was Tony’s turn, who was there only to make sure you weren’t hurt badly. And finally it came to Steve and Bucky to approach you.
“Steve, isn’t she-?”
“Yes, she is”, Captain America stood up and moved away from you, not believing at his own eyes, “H-how the hell is this possible?”
“Do you know her, Steve?” it was Natasha who spoke, standing up next to her friend and worrying for him, “How?”
“Y/N was my best friend…” it came out in no more than a whisper which was heard only by the Black Widow, while Bucky’s brain started thinking of a way according to which it was possible that you were still alive.
When he finally came up with a solution, Tony obliged everybody to head back to the quinjet, “We can’t leave her here!” Bucky shouted towards the Avengers who were already leaving the place. The only two left there were Steve and him, “I’m not letting her die another time”.
“Neither am I”, silently they agreed on picking her up and carry her up to the jet, where Natasha and Tony were waiting for them.
They weren’t surprised to find out Steve and Bucky had decided to bring you with them, Tony had already had the operating room arranged and a équipe of qualified doctors was arriving at the compound from New York -only for you.
The quinjet left the area less than a minute later.
Four hours later you were forced asleep in a bed. Tony and his équipe of surgeons didn’t have time to bring you into the operating room that your wounds had already healed by themselves. At that moment Stark and Natasha decided that they should have studied you and your special, never-seen-before, powers.
On the other hand, Steve and Bucky were still trying to understand how you survived all those years without getting older of a single day. You were exactly how they remembered you. The last time you three had the opportunity to spend time together was the day before James left for the Europe. That was the last time you saw them.
“She’s asleep”, Natasha informed Steve entering his office, where he sat -in front of his computer-in complete silence, “Stark is analyzing some samples of her blood. We’ll know something more in the morning”, she sat down on the couch behind his back and poured herself a glass of scotch.
“How in she still alive? I don’t understand this”, Steve got up and turned around to face Natasha, “She looks like like the last time I saw her in the Forties. That’s impossible”.
“I stopped believing in science when I saw things coming from the sky in New York”, she wasn’t wrong -at all- and she tried to explain it to his friend, who wasn’t thinking clearly at the moment, “Why are you so worried?”
“Only God knows what she’s been through in her life. And no one was there to support her.”
“She’s here now. You’ll talk to her when she’ll wake up”, Natasha got up and rested a hand on his shoulder, comforting him and showing him she was there if he needed anyone to talk to.
All of a sudden Natasha and Steve weren’t alone no more: Bucky entered the room with a soft facial expression and his hands joined, “I need to tell you something”.
February 1942 - Brooklyn
“Sweetheart, I’m going doing shopping”, Mrs. Y/L/N told you grabbing the house keys and left your house.
You were no older than twenty years old, but your mother still treated you as you were a child. She didn’t like leaving you alone at home; at the same time, she knew you had to focus on your study and that she couldn’t bring you anywhere.
You heard a knock on the front door a couple of minutes later she had left the house so you thought it was her and you opened without even checking from the spy-hole.
And it wasn’t your mother.
“Hello, Sweetheart. You’re coming with us”, and a second later you were tied up and you couldn’t see anything. two strong men were holding you in place while they carried you into their car.

For the drabbles: Ignite Your Bones 'verse, James with a migraine overnight trying to avoid disturbing Steve's rest
Thanks!
___________
Whoa Bessie
___________
James turns over and slips out from under Steve’s arm.  He expects the warm, heavy feeling to diminish, but it doesn’t.  The hot streak across his back stays, even when he rolls over into the empty side of the bed.  He lets his breath out and pulls his arms over his head.
The clock on the side table says 3 in the morning.  It’s not an odd hour for him to be up, not by any means.  But there’s no real reason for it this time.  No loud nightmare that’s sent his limbs flailing and Steve shushing.  In fact, Steve’s still sleeping soundly.  James hopes he stays that way.
An immense throb hits James between the eyes, and he immediately knows why he’s awake.  It’s still the beginning of the migraine, when there are long pauses between the hammers slamming into his skull.  There’s a good minute or so before the next throb, and James uses it to think through the situation.
He could get up for his rescue meds.  That would be the most logical choice.  But he’d need Steve to open the top of the pill bottle.  And disturbing Steve’s sleep seems an unnaturally savage thing to do, seeing as soundly as he’s snoozing.
The second best option is to grin and bear it.  Except that James doesn’t feel much like grinning.  He turns his head into the pillow and bears his teeth, practically biting its cotton covering as another wave of pain washes over him.  This one brings along nausea, and James swallows hard.
It’s too late to do anything now, he realizes.  He probably woke too late for meds to work, so waking Steve would have been pointless anyway.  If he doesn’t get out of bead, though, James will wake him.  In the worst possible way.
James slides sideways out from under the quilt, his hand over his mouth to contain the hiccupy retch that comes on before he’s ready and far before he’s reached the toilet.
It’s only a matter of steps to the ensuite, but it may as well be the length of a football field.  James stumbles down in front of the toilet, praying he hasn’t made much of a sound.
The toilet echoes, and badly.  James keeps raising his aching head to be sure Steve hasn’t moved.  By the time he’s empty, the pain behind his forehead is bordering on unbearable.  He fluctuates for a moment on whether or not to flush the toilet, but decides in the end that he’s leaving this mess for nobody.
James trudges back to the bed and silently sits on the edge of the mattress.
“Huh?”  Steve stirs and reaches absently for James’s leg.  “You ok?”
“Yeah,” James mutters.  He makes to lie down.  “Just.”  His head throbs.  “Ow.”
“Hey, C’mere.”  Steve opens his arms, and James slowly lowers his head onto his chest.  It shouldn’t be more comfortable than the pillow, but somehow it is.
“You need meds?” Steve asks.
“‘S too late,”  James mutters.  “Probably won’t keep ‘em down.”
“Hmm.” Steve sighs sympathetically.
“It’s ok,” James says, even though it’s not.  “Just need to go back to sleep.”
“Ok, then.”  Steve gently kisses his cheek.  “We’ll see how you feel in the morning.”
