Ok, this bugs me and I've gone over it before because sometimes Marvel really likes to paper over how far Tony stepped over the line in Armor Wars. Stingray. Tony, remember him? The scientist you sucker-punched? Married? Four kids to feed? The guy whose livelihood you fragged and who you nearly maimed? Armor Wars was not you stepping over the line of the law to keep your personal WMDs out of people's hands. It was your paranoia and arrogance lashing out at everyone around you and you nearly killed a good man before you stopped yourself. And then you used a conspiracy theory to sweep it under the rug. So, Iron Heart started filming in June 2022 and finished in November 2022. And yet the release is now pushed back until 2025?!

What on earth is going on with that? The time to release that show was as close to Wakanda Forever as possible. To capitalise on the character introduction.

It's like Echo constantly being pushed even though Hawkeye came out 2021. It filmed April to August 2022 and was pushed back to now release in January 2024, despite being totally complete and sitting on the 'shelf' for months.

I can't even find any information on Armor Wars anywhere anymore. It's not in the Phase 5 wiki page or Phase 6. 😭😭😭

It's so hard to get excited for new characters or shows/films when Marvel's management is such a shitshow now. We don't see or hear from characters for years. And when we do, it seems like such a rushed job with terrible writing.

Now, I can see where Tony is coming from. Especially in relation to the US Government having access to his tech could only end in bloody disaster. Now, he inevitably goes too far and gets paranoid, attacking people like Stingray who never needed his tech in the first place and wouldn't have misused it if they had. But, baseline, I see his point.

Ugh, I know I posted about this already but I'm frustrated. If they do intend for Rhodey have been a Skrull since Civil War then I want to at least see Don Cheadle do some serious ACTING and see the scene where he is caught up.

But this is kind of vague nonsense. And Armor Wars won't come out for years so they will probably cut to a few years from now. That is so unsatisfying to me.

When Rhodey went to sleep things were very different. His best friend was alive, of course. But also HE COULD WALK. If he was taken during the procedure he hasn't gotten the news of his diagnosis. I mean he must suspect it's bad but. Ugh.

He was still an Avenger (on the team with Vision, Wanda, Falcon, Cap and Nat) though obviously the team was going through some stuff. He was probably hoping it'd work out. Now not just Tony but two of his teammates are dead. Steve is gone. Sam is the new Cap. I don't know what people think happened to Wanda.

He never actually met the Guardians of the Galaxy or Thanos or anyone from outer space (save the Skrulls, I guess). Let alone the Snap, the Blip or any of that.

I know I said I wanted to see Don Cheadle get more to do. And that I wanted to address his disability more. But I didn't mean I wanted Rhodey to be traumatized more (or retraumatized?).

They need to tell me the release date of Armor Wars now. Like Right now. But there is a strike and we can't even interview Don Cheadle about it and ask him.

I want to storm Bob Iger's office.

Where’s the Rhodey and Everett Ross fanfics for Secret Invasion. I want to read them dealing with being kidnapped, the paranoia of being replaced by a Skrull and the possibility that those they care about may have been replaced by a Skrull. Like let them start waving guns at people asking them to prove they are who they say they are. Like Ross going back to Wakanda and paranoid about if Shuri and Okoye are really themselves and not Skrulls.
