A horror movie, eight soulmates, ZERO chill

Pairing: sense8 cluster

summary: what starts as movie night at nomi and amanita’s turns into something else entirely: kalas nails, wolfgang's wandering hands, and amanita texting the nonsensate partners play-by-play updates of the increasingly flirty cuddle pile taking over her living room.

am i gonna tell you how they're all in amanita and nomi's house. no.

It’s supposed to be a chill horror movie night.

But nothing’s ever chill when the entire cluster is together and pressed into a single room full of flickering candles, mismatched throw pillows, and the kind of tension that crackles louder than the film’s jump scares.

The couch is full. Nomi and Will are sitting hip-to-hip, popcorn bowl between them. Riley’s tucked into Will’s other side, her feet tangled with Sun’s across the ottoman. Sun’s sprawled out like a queen, Lito using her thigh as a pillow and being as dramatic about it as humanly possible.

On the floor, Kala has claimed Capheus for herself.

He’s sitting between her legs, shoulders relaxed against her torso. It looks innocent until she dips her nails along the side of his neck—slow, deliberate, and featherlight.

Capheus shivers so visibly it ripples through the whole blanket pile.

Kala, barely holding back a smirk, does it again. This time lower, tracing a slow path from behind his ear to the dip of his collarbone. Capheus is stone silent for three full seconds before—

“Jesus,” he breathes. “You’re going to kill me.”

“Shh,” she murmurs, resting her chin on his shoulder. “You’re being very distracting. I’m trying to watch the movie.”

“Are you?”

“No,” she hums, and runs her nails down his neck again.

Meanwhile, up on the couch, Wolfgang is entirely ignoring the screen. He’s beside Will now, one leg thrown over Riley’s thighs, the other angled toward Will like he’s marking territory. His hand rests casually on Will’s stomach.

Or it was casual.

Now it’s sneaking under Will’s shirt. Just a warm palm, fingertips splaying out. He doesn’t move it—he just lets it rest there, skin to skin.

Will tenses slightly, breath hitching. Riley doesn’t miss it. She smirks and pops another chocolate almond into her mouth, absolutely not helping.

Wolfgang’s hand shifts lower.

An inch. Maybe two. Just enough to ghost over the edge of Will’s waistband.

Will turns his head slightly, jaw tight. “Really?”

Wolfgang shrugs like he’s innocent. “What? You said it was cold in here.”

Nomi’s halfway into choking on popcorn.

Sun arches a brow. “Your body heat is not located in your groin.”

“Speak for yourself,” Lito sighs dramatically, clutching her arm. “This is like a telenovela. Only gayer.”

Amanita, curled into a bean bag with a blanket over her head and a front row seat to the chaos, pulls out her phone and types.

wolfgang has his hand down will’s pants (will is TRYING not to moan)

Amanita hides a laugh into her sleeve. Across the room, Kala has her fingers back on Capheus’ neck—now trailing lower, down his spine in lazy spirals. Capheus has melted into a puddle. Lito’s mumbling love poetry into Sun’s lap. Riley is fully sandwiched between two war criminals and doing nothing to stop it.

Nomi catches Amanita’s eye across the room. She raises a brow.

Amanita just shrugs and types another message.

amanita:

they’re all flirting

the horror movie is background noise

this is a sleepover for soulmates and i’m living for it

No one remembers what movie they were watching.

By the time it ends, there are three tangled pairs on the couch, two blankets on the floor, and zero personal space.

Will’s eyes are half-lidded, Wolfgang still tracing slow circles just under the hem of his shirt. Capheus is practically in Kala’s lap. Riley’s curled against Nomi now, playing with the ends of the braids she had mindlessly put in her hair. Lito’s halfway through serenading Sun in Spanish.

i forgot i made this post tbh it's only been two months, but seeing it again made me remember that i promised to find the note i made about the cluster's kids. i'm just gonna copy it over pm wholesale bc i think it's funny

the title of the note is "found family avengers 2012 style fic"

nomi + amanita + bug = micah (ivf)

lito + hernando + dani = carlos (ivf, lito+dani)

other parts of the found family that don't live with them

diego + wife and kids visit OFTEN, caph's mom and jela visit as often as they can manage, and riley's dad basically lives with the cluster

extra headcanons (under the cut bc it's long)

micah (nomi + amanita) is nonbinary as hell, and the oldest of the cluster's kids. it's his birth, watching him grow up, that helps riley come to terms with her fear of losing another baby (which ofc is helped by neets and nomi's support)

riley cries and cries and cries when starla is born, and she doesn't let go of her for three days

kala only has the one baby, sweet little savi. rahjan and wolfgana fall in love IMMEDIATELY but kala takes a little longer to feel those maternal instincts everyone's always going on about. rahjan becomes Thee Stay-At-Home Dad, and he loves every moment of it. kala's father teaches him how to make all kala's favorite dishes

sun and mun adopted six kids because sun refuses to be pregnant (see trans!sun hc) and mun is a bleeding heart (affectionate)

lito cries every time he and his partners see everyone with their kids (literally. he's a blubbering mess.) so dani makes a mostly off hand joke about willing to carry a kid for lito and hernando, but hernando takes her hand and says it would be their kid, so she starts tearing up, then hernando starts tearing up, and then the three of them are set up in the kitchen drilling neets and nomi about their experience with ivf. carlos is born two years later, with the blackest eyes and the sweetest brown curls. lito hasn't stopped crying yet (carlos is three months old)

they live in a HUUUUGE house on a fair bit of land somewhere. there are 17 adults, 13 kids. 5 king size beds for the couples. alaskan king beds for kajangang and lito/nando/dani. felix and bug each have their own rooms in the house, and riley's dad does too even though he still refers to it as the guest room (he's been there eight months). all of their family members have their own rooms in the guest house (did i mention the house was huge??) so they can visit, but they don't have to be IN the absolute chaos if they don't want to be

lito - gay man in a polyamorous relationship. meet his boyfriend and his boyfriends girlfriend who is also his emotional support fag hag

riley - bisexual as hell. gender is a costume and one she loves to put on. probably some level of gender neutral/agender but i feel like shed stick to the nonbinary label for ease sake

will - man's a lil bit fruity ngl he enjoys sense8 sex with lito and wolfgang more than hed ever admit outloud, and he does enjoy the occasional skirt or two. more gender fluid than trans, eventually adopts she/her pronouns in addition to his he/hims. when he tells nomi and lito, they throw him a party

capheus - the happiest cis+ youll ever meet. bisexual as hell and not ashamed in the least. he loves with his whole heart, how could he limit himself to just one gender????

kala - the token straight. how she managed this with seven queers in her head, i have no idea. she loves her husbands without a doubt, but kissing girls is a little scary for her (probably bc shes afraid shell like it "too much" which— actually yeah. i support closet bisexual kala, nvm, token straight card revoked)

I would also like to add

That how Wolfgang has all the makings of that one asshole character™ who behaves like a jerk all the time and makes people feel surprised when he smiles at them. I mean:

Victim of regular bullying at school

Abusive father. Who is an alcoholic, misogynistic, homophobic and also a rapist

Saw his own mother be abused and learnt that she was raped

Saw his other family members being complicit towards his father's misbehaviour

Being the member of a mafia family which is an enabler for toxic masculinity ™

But Wolfgang never let any of these things shape him. He has a good conscience. He has a good moral sense. He openly expresses his emotions. Not an ounce of homophobia/transphobia in him. He and Felix openly display their love for each other via hugs and cheek kisses and they never feel insecure about being seen as gay. He doesn't shy away from Lito's hugs either. He drinks his respecting women juice regularly. He is such a softie that he's willing to drop everything in Berlin to go to India to be with the girl that he likes and has only seen in his head. He never misbehaves with Kala. He supports her in all her decisions. He is nice to Rajan as well. Not a single trace of jealousy ™ is seen. Agrees to a polyamorous relationship with Kala and Rajan almost immediately. And while he is a badass killing machine, he kills only in self defense or in a situation where the other person would kill him given the chance. Other than his father of course, which also can be traced to wanting to be free of his abuse. He is emotionally scarred forever by his father's abuse but he chose to retain all the things that his mother had taught him.

Despite all that happened to him, Wolfgang managed to be a good person and this just further proves that being being an asshole™ is indeed a choice.
