Let's have a little common sense about this Beverage Tax: if you want your children and/or school kids to drink better -- that's a parenting issue. Yes, we all know that Pepsi is cheaper than orange juice, however by taxing the less expensive unhealthy item, how does that help put the superior drink into the hands of children??? Hence, this tax merely discourages, but ultimately fails to do the greater good. Clearly this tax is a spawn of Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" initiative, which has a rather uncomfortable semi-socialist vibe to it. How is it that Cook Country forgot that Illinois remains the most exited state, yet they do something so profoundly stupid that irritates it's citizens further? Those on the boarder are avoiding you tax, so you're probably loosing money - which validates lack of intelligence.
