Since this is a self-indulgent AU made primarily for enjoyment, I'm pretty lenient when it comes to romantic pairings! If someone suggests a ship and I feel fine towards it, I'll give them some crumbs to work with lmao

Focusing on the pairings you brought up, though...

Noah - I headcanon Noah as being on the aroace spectrum, meaning he rarely feels attraction towards others. This identity is brought up several times in the AU, though not exactly by name (I don't think Noah would use specific labels, tbh)...

HOWEVER, he is not immune to the ship-bait crumbs! Noah and Owen are close in this AU, and can be read as romantic or queerplatonic. Nowen is explicitly canon in this AU, and most TD related things I'll write or draw! But, whether they're romantic or queerplatonic is up to the readers, I've decided. I love both interpretations equally, and I love Nowen because of how both interpretations work almost perfectly!

As for NoCo... I have mixed feelings towards this ship, but that's usually because nobody ever interprets it the way I interpret it: and that's Cody fucking sucks /aff /derogatory.

He had a weird one-sided situationship with Noah for 3 days in October of freshman year, said something FOUL and KINDA CRINGE about rizz and women, and Noah just got up and left. No hesitation.

Let Cody be a loser... genuinely. He gets mauled by a bear at least once. Other than that, no hints of NoCo in the main plot. Cody's out there freakin it loser style, and Noah is gay married to Owen in every universe.

Now for the questions about Gwen and Courtney - No for the love triangle, I felt that entire thing ruined all three characters. Like, Duncanis suppose to be a "punk with a heart of gold" and yet he's down to cheat??? Gwen, the anxious yet very progressive goth who's like... genuinely nice??? And bro what'd Courtney do to deserve that??? ... She did help carry WT tho

As for Duncey and Gwent? I'm on the fence. I don't think Duncan and Courtney are good for eachother. And Gwent was really cute in season 1, but the way they handled Trent's breakdown in Action just felt... off. I think I prefer both of them being single, unfortunately. Might have Trent and Gwen be exes on really good terms though? For world building and lore? Because both characters are revelant to the plot due to their connections with Courtney, Duncan, and Harold (primarily Trent for that last one but yk)

Qwourtney is a maybe, I did promise some Heather/Courtney crumbs for an anon so I'm down for that lmao

it’s so interesting how yoshino and nao differ as people. they’re beautiful, they’re intelligent, and they hold themselves well...... but the first scene we meet nao, she’s popular but she doesn’t care for her friends/circle. she’s polite, but she doesn’t trust any of them; in fact, she thinks lowly of all of them. it’s so very different from yoshino who’s been avoided (and lowkey bullied), who was and still is very much of a loner. however, she doesn’t seek approval from anybody. she was raised pretty much to not care what anyone thinks, to live independently, but she’s not jaded tbh.

it makes me think of kirishima and how he said his type is a woman who’s envied by other women, and that reigns pretty much true for the both of them... but the key difference is that yoshino doesn’t need to surround herself with people to validate her existence (even if it’s 75% not her choice), but it’s pretty much why she doesn’t see much in kirishima, and maybe that’s why his attraction to her is so different? if these are key girls in his life, then yoshino offers more mentally/emotionally because she legitmately does not care. nao doesn’t care for him either, but she seeks him to validate her own selfish needs/worth. yoshino is aware of her surroundings and the life she was born into, but her search for normalcy and peace of mind will probably never be found in kirishima, so therefore, he will never be an option for her.

yoshino also did have a point in previous chapters that, at any time, should she return his feelings, the question of whether or not it’ll make him realize she’s really of no use to him (as she’s the prize and he’s the one chasing) will put her in a compromising and dangerous position. i can’t confirm whether his feelings are true or not yet (more kirishima backstory! yes!), but his obsession with her is very interesting for a person who makes no attachments to anybody or anything. i can’t see her falling for him either, but the both of them are more than what meets the eye— I mean, really, who knows? yoshino has definitely the option of being the dangerous one, and kirishima could be the one running by the end of it!

Every time I read a fanfic about Bakugou being a fuckboy I normally laugh it off because it sounds ridiculous in my mind, although sharing this thought with other people made me realize that some actually think he might be in the future???? Not just about that, but I'd genuinely love to know your input on how Bakugou would be in his late-teens, early adulthood, before (for the sake of it) meeting X and settling. Would he sleep around? Would he try for a relationship and fail? What would fail? What would make him settle? Would he really just focus on hero work and that's it? So. Many. Questions.

okay so how i see it, is bakugou is probably totally and completely fine being alone up until his like mid 20’s. sure he thinks maybe it’d be nice to have somebody, but he works so hard that it’s always a fleeting feeling. but then he gets a little older, settles into his spot on the rankings (#3 btw, im soRRY kats but its the truth!!) and watches all his friends get into meaningful relationships. and then, a few more years down the line (think late 20’s/ early 30’s) he’ll be sitting back and being like “shit. i don’t have anybody like that. somebody who’s just for me. who’d pick me first always.”

and i think that is what he wants most of all. i mean, he’s clearly chock-full of insecurities related to that idea, and i cant imagine him ever settling without that need being fufilled. like, i think eventually he’ll probably abandon the idea of being #1 hero, but he’ll still keep that dream of being #1 somehow. so once he finds somebody that always has his back, always puts up with his shit and still loves him at the end of it?? still looks at him with stars in their eyes day after day??? pls. mans is putty and will never even dream of leaving

but that being said- i dont think he’s gonna find The One on first try. i think he’ll be aiming for that, but i cant see it working out. even when he starts seriously dating around his mid 20s, i think he’ll still be too caught up with his hero work. it’ll take him a good few years and one/two failed relationships to finally find a balance that works for him and whoever he ends up with

4. The Tokyo Zodiac Murders by Shimada Soji

I actually found this book by accident. I kinda like lingering around the school library and see what books I'll find interesting. I was actually looking for language books at that time, and I was surprised to find this novel in that section bc it's fiction among all the Japanese/Chinese grammar books, but man...I finished the whole thing in one afternoon. It's incredible. I couldn't let it go even after going back home.

5. A Certain Magical Index by Kazuma Kamachi

I admit i pick the volumes I read bc i just like the science side lmaoooo i just reallly love esper powers and the concept of academy city.
