Factors to think about before purchasing printer toner

Wouldn't it be wonderful to work in a paperless environment? Unfortunately, if you prefer holding a piece of paper in your hand or if the document is required by law, there are still times when you must print it.

If you don't think it through carefully, choosing your printer could be a choice that results in frustration, unnecessary costs, and decreased productivity. Being one of the best sellers of Canon toners, we come across printers daily. So, we've simplified choosing the right printer by listing some factors you should consider before purchasing.

1. Laser or inkjet

Consider the type of ink you want to use, even though there isn't a huge price difference. Choose a print for which toners and ink cartridges are easily available. And they are suited to your budget. It's also important to find out if you can refill the ink cartridges and purchase third-party ink for your printer.

2. How many features are you looking for?

Some businesses are content with a printer and copier, while others might prefer an all-in-one printer that can print, fax, scan, and copy. Look through to see what your office frequently uses and what kind of equipment is already in place. For instance, you don't need a printer/scanner if you already have one. 

3. Picture calibre

When you print images, consider your needs. However, you frequently only see one PPM rating when inspecting a box in a store. It describes the number of pages of black text that the printer can print in a minute.

5. Interconnection

It would help if you asked yourself these questions to determine which connections you require:

Do you care about wireless connections, or are you completely uninterested?

Would a standard computer connection suffice, or do you prefer to     print from your mobile device?

What location will you use for printing?

What devices will you use to print?

Some models do, however, also provide Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. While Wi-Fi and cloud storage enables you to print documents remotely while you're away from home, Bluetooth is excellent for printing from nearby mobile devices.

6. Paper management

You will need to buy particular printers for the job depending on the paper you want. A different printer is required for someone who wants to print primarily on cardstock and photo paper as opposed to someone who wants to print on plain white paper. Don't forget to consider the desired paper sizes. Don't buy an inadequate one if you need to print on larger pieces of paper. And make sure that only quality Lexmark toners are used with the printers for the right output.

7. Workplace size

You should get a portable printer if you primarily conduct business while travelling with a laptop. Otherwise, you can easily afford a larger one if you have some extra space and depending on print quality.

8. Other operating expenses

Consider the brand of cartridges you want to use in addition to ink cartridges. Although purchasing refillable cartridges could result in some financial savings, letting the ink run out completely could harm your printer. Consider the cost and energy consumption in case your printer malfunctions. Especially if you are using Canon or HP printers, you must only trust authorized sellers for Canon toners & HP toners.

9. Desktop, portable, or compact?

There are now numerous compact versions of printers available if you're looking for one that will fit in a small space. The scanner and copier functionality may have to be sacrificed, but it's still a good choice for infrequent users.

Some devices may be noticeably larger because they aren't made for domestic usage and are typically marketed to small businesses. Remember that technology should be attractive; avoid purchasing items that clash with your surroundings. And not every agency can help you with Lexmark toners for portable printers. TOBIO KAGEYAMA… doing nail care together. While yes, it sounds peculiar, we all know how deeply Tobio cares about the state of his hands. They’re fundamental to his everyday life on and off the court. After watching him prep the night before a game by filing his nails, you asked him to let you help. “Here baby, let me,” you offered, taking his much larger palm in your own as you round out the shape.

It became a habit between you not long after, body doubling as you both take care of your hands or trading off doing each other's. It’s a simple thing really, but he can’t help the light smile that finds him in those moments. Tobio can’t explain in words why it makes him feel so loved.

But you know his true feelings as a quiet show functions as white noise in the background, his hand in yours prepping for yet another match. He appreciates the intimacy of silence together.

SHŌYŌ HINATA … watching One Piece together. Growing up, Shōyō didn’t have friends who engaged in his interests as deeply as he did. It took you 5 months into your relationship to realize he also liked the show because he was scared you might tease him.

WAKATOSHI USHIJIMA … work out. We all know volleyball is a big aspect of Ushi’s life. He’s constantly conditioning himself for the perfect physique. When he discovered that you had a similar passion for building and honing your body to its fullest capability, he was whipped.

He found it hard to be understood by others, but he really does just enjoy the simple things. Playing volleyball, working out, and coming home to you. It’s enjoyable to him to be able to do it with you and gives him greater motivation.

Every endurance run, you’re by his side and he certainly doesn’t mind altering his pace for you. It gets him a little worked up to see you sweating and out of breath though, but he’ll keep that to himself for now.

KIYOOMI SAKUSA … you guessed it, showering together. Because he grew up around sweaty boys playing volleyball all day, Kiyoomi knows not everyone is as concerned about their personal hygiene as he is. In a country full of Neanderthals, he wears the crown. But when he comes home from practice, there is only one thing he wants to do. Shower with you.

There’s something so intimate about you taking care of him in such a vulnerable space. He’s much bigger than you are, his broad shoulders from years of spiking looming over yours. Warm steam mixed with eucalyptus leaves fills his senses as you hum, scrubbing his body of any dirt from the outside world.

Your soft hands wash the tension from his body, your nails scrape against his scalp making him feel loved. He’ll never admit it but he says it’s because he likes to be clean, It’s truly because you’re the one cleaning him.

My bookbinding tools and stuff

I started binding in July 2023, so I'm certainly no expert, but in case you're interested in what I use to create my binds…

I use Adobe InDesign to typeset and Illustrator for graphics

I print on an old Canon laser printer for black and white and an Epson ET-3830 inkjet for color

I purchase my shortgrain paper from Church Paper (for folios) and the long grain paper I use for quartos is just whatever (nothing special)

I love my punching cradle and guide that I got off etsy.

I use this thread (that I wax with beeswax) for sewing signatures

I love this cardstock for endpapers (Craft Consortium ink drops) but I collect pads of 12x12 cardstock in various designs from craft stores.

I like this bookboard (in black specifically)

ETA: I recently ordered precut boards from Hollander's. I cannot recommend this enough. I got the .10 thick board.

I use these tools for spacing and squaring when creating covers

Everything gets stuck together with this glue. (GET THE POINTY TOP!)

I have an old Silhouette Cameo for cutting vinyl and applying foil to bookcloth (with this pen)

I use this foil quill for freehanding

I apply laser toner foil with this Scotch laminator

I have a thermal binding machine from Amazon and I use these glue strips with it

I have this guillotine (but I don't recommend black for visibility reasons)

I have purchased bookcloth from Hollander's, Colophon, and Amazon. I don't recommend the Allure line if you are decorating with HTV or paint.

Get this heat and bond if you want to make your own bookcloth

I make ribbon bookmarks with charms like these and these crimps.

Caveat: These are just the tools and supplies I use. I am not an expert. I'm a hobbyist who is relatively new to it. Some of the things I use might be "wrong" but every book I've made works, so who cares?

The summer sun had flooded your apartment - a 92 degree heatwave forcing you and Simon to turn on every fan within the walls of your shared flat, lest your wallpaper start peeling off. Even for the summer, this heat was unheard of in the area where you lived. So you had gone into every room in your apartment, pulled the chain extending from the overheard ceiling fan, and had even brought out some oscillating fans that you had stored away, in hopes of keeping the sweltering temperatures at bay. It worked as well as it could, your fans putting some serious work into cooling your home. However, much to the dismay of you and Simon, the weatherman had reported the heatwave would be staying for around a week.

“Fucking American heat,” Simon grumbled one night as you two got ready for bed. You stood in the bathroom washing your face, working the cleanser into your skin in tight circles. 

“This should be nothing to you,” you respond to Simon in between rinsing off your face and applying toner, “You’re deployed in countries that are like - a hundred degrees everyday.”

He scoffs at your teasing, “Yeah, well I like coming back here to get away from that.”

You’re patting your face dry now, “Oh? Is that the only reason you come back here?”

Turning off the bathroom light, you walk to your shared bed as Simon pulls back its covers. “Hm - maybe a few other reasons.” A wry smile makes its way to his face.

You help him pull the covers neatly off your bed, knowing they would just add to the suffocating heat and prevent you both from sleeping. 

Satisfied with your work you flop onto your bed, limbs sprawling across the covers like a starfish. Simon mutters something about you ruffling the sheets and slips his shirt over his head - another attempt made to escape the creeping heat. Your eyes pass over his muscular back (which you had frankly seen more times than you could count, but it never manages to get old), and linger over the white scars that litter his skin. He turns to face you before climbing into bed and your gaze lands on the jagged scar that adorns the space under the left side of his chest, where his ribs end.

It was inevitable that someone in Simon’s profession would receive their fair share of dings and scrapes. The man had numerous bullet wounds and knife scars - those of which you had asked about him which would lead to Simon recounting the perilous mission in which he had received the markings. The scar that settled across his ribs was something entirely different. You had, of course, seen it before. You tried not to stare too long in the shower, with Simon pressed up next to you - working your favorite shampoo into your scalp. You made a conscious effort not to look below his chest that day at the beach as the waves beat against the two of you, forcing you to hold onto Simon while he hid an amused smile. You let your eyes linger over the spot of healed skin for only a moment when Simon was on top of you, driving his hips into yours as words of praise spilled from his mouth. 

Never did you ask about it.

Simon lets out a content sigh as he settles into bed next to you, the noise bringing you out of your thoughts. Moonlight spills into the bedroom, softly illuminating you both. Resting your head on his chest, your eyes gravitate towards Simon’s scar once again. You wondered what had happened to leave such an angry, violent mark. You wondered how much it had hurt but decided against lingering on the thought, unable to stand the idea of Simon in that much pain. 

A hand ghosts over your head and plays with your hair. “Y’alright, love?” Simon asks, “Quiet tonight.”

You allow your hand to find its way to the marred skin on Simon’s abdomen. The light touch causes him to tense up ever so slightly.

“Si…” you begin, “What happened here?”

A beat of silence.

“We don’t have to talk about it.” You quickly backtrack. Why did you even bring it up? If he hadn’t talked about it before, why would he now? You move your hand away from the scar.

Simon is silent but his fingers continue to move through your hair. 

Feeling that you’ve crossed a line, you open your mouth to apologize. The last thing you wanted to do was bring up memories that were too painful for the man. You had gotten a few glimpses into what his past was like from passing comments he had made. What little you did know made your stomach turn. It had you amazed that the man you were laying on top of was even still here today. 

“It came from a hook,” Simon responds before you can say anything, his voice surprisingly soft, “I was…hung from a hook.” Silence swallows the space between you two as you take in his words. Sweat begins to bead on your forehead, and you’re left unsure if it’s from the heat permeating throughout your house or from Simon’s gory revelation. Simon did not continue, seemingly unwilling to recount much of the event. Perhaps he was just sparing you the gory details, or maybe he couldn’t bear to recount the trauma of it all. You feel your heart break in real time from his words, along with a sharp pain forming in your own ribs from the thought of being strung up by a piercing, metal hook. It’s impossible to fathom the feeling, the pain that would come from such a thing. The aftermath. Tears sting your eyes. And threaten to roll down your cheeks.

“I’m sorry Si,” you whisper, “I’m sorry that happened to you. That you had to go through that.” His hands drop from your hair and settle on the small of your back. 

Simon takes in a breath and places a kiss on the top of your head, “S’alright Y/N…it was a long time ago.”

You know from his tone and his words that Simon is not cross with you. You can feel it in the way his body relaxes, in his even breathing. You can hear it as your head rests against his chest, noting the calm beat of his heart. 

Your heart stirs, moving you to lean down and place your lips on the damaged skin. Your kiss is light and soft, and causes Simon’s chest to tighten. Time had mended the physical wound that was etched permanently onto his skin, but he found that you - your love - had mended the emotional blemishes from the horrible ordeal. 

Simon moves you back up to him, placing a gentle hand under your chin to look at him. He notices your watery eyes, “I’m okay love. I am now.” You offer a small smile and a simple, “Okay.” You could feel the sincerity in his words. 

“Thank you for telling me. For trusting me.” You need him to know.

He simply hums in response, pulling you in for a kiss. Your lips part and the two of you settle back in next to each other. A comfortable silence spreads across the room. You silently wonder about Simon, about what else he’s gone through, and if he’ll ever recount the grimmest details of his past to you - like he had tonight. 

You decided it didn’t matter either way what he did. This was good. This was enough. You were enough for each other, and that’s all that mattered.

Simon’s thick voice dismisses all your thoughts and worries,  “Let’s go to bed, yeah love?”

You smile, “Yeah…goodnight Simon.”

“Goodnight, Y/N”

You both drift off to sleep tangled in each other’s limbs, covers kicked off the bed, blanketed instead by the soft light of the moon outside.
