Read Multiple Reviews: Don't rely solely on one review; instead, read multiple reviews from different sources to get a well-rounded understanding of the strain's characteristics and effects.
Pay Attention to Details: Look for reviews that provide specific details about the strain's appearance, aroma, flavor, and effects, as well as information about the reviewer's consumption method and tolerance level.
Trust Your Instincts: Ultimately, trust your own instincts and preferences when choosing cannabis strains. While reviews can offer valuable insights, personal experimentation and exploration are key to finding the strains that resonate with you.
Cannabis has become a cornerstone in both medicinal and recreational realms, offering a plethora of strains that cater to various needs and preferences. Whether you're seeking relief from chronic conditions like fibromyalgia, looking for strains that elevate your mood, or simply exploring options to alleviate anxiety, understanding the nuances of different cannabis strains is essential. This comprehensive guide delves into some of the most sought-after strains, their benefits, and how they can fit into your lifestyle.
Fibromyalgia and Cannabis Strains: A Path to Relief
Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and tenderness in localized areas. Traditional treatments often fall short, leading many to explore alternative therapies. Fibromyalgia cured by cannabis strains is a topic gaining traction as anecdotal evidence and preliminary studies suggest that certain cannabis strains may alleviate symptoms.
Strains to Consider:
ACDC: Rich in CBD and low in THC, ACDC offers pain relief without psychoactive effects.
Harlequin: Balances CBD and THC, providing both pain relief and a mild euphoria.
Cannatonic: Known for its high CBD content, it's effective in reducing muscle spasms and pain.
Note: While cannabis may help manage symptoms, it's not a cure for fibromyalgia. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any new treatment.
Unveiling Terpenes: Cannabis Strains High in Myrcene
Terpenes are aromatic compounds in cannabis that contribute to its aroma, flavor, and therapeutic properties. Cannabis strains high in myrcene are particularly noteworthy for their sedative and muscle-relaxing effects.
What is Myrcene?
Myrcene is one of the most abundant terpenes found in cannabis. It offers earthy, musky notes and is believed to enhance the psychoactive effects of THC.
Top Myrcene-Rich Strains:
Granddaddy Purple: Offers deep relaxation and is ideal for evening use.
Blue Dream: Balances full-body relaxation with gentle cerebral invigoration.
OG Kush: A classic strain that provides a mix of mental and physical effects.
Designing Your Experience: Cannabis Strain Selection Template
Choosing the right cannabis strain can be overwhelming given the vast options available. A cannabis strain designer template can simplify this process by allowing you to match strains with your desired effects.
Factors to Consider:
Desired Effect: Relaxation, energy boost, creativity, pain relief.
THC vs. CBD Content: Higher THC for psychoactive effects; higher CBD for therapeutic benefits without the high.
Terpene Profile: Determines aroma, flavor, and additional effects.
Consumption Method: Smoking, vaping, edibles, tinctures.

Strain: Ice Cream Cookies
Cannabinoid: THCA
Origin: Colorado
Brand: Unknown, given as a sample from a potential independent business partner
Rating: Overall 6.8/10. The flower was extremely dry and crisp, even once ground. Because of this, it was very harsh. Didn’t have many undertones except grass, a tiny bit of sweetness but not many noticeable terpenes. It was a bit of a creeper and I did feel some effects, it had a bit of a head high and some body high but mainly made me tired. They also didn’t have a COA which was concerning. Overall, probably wouldn’t buy from them and our store probably won’t end up working with them. They said they would work on keeping the bud more hydrated. So we shall see

Gelonade
Personal review of Gelonade
Gelonade is a strain very unique, coming in with an average 24 THC percentage and is a cross between Lemon Tree and Gelato #41. It has sweet and earthy tones to it and all around is an enjoyable smoke. Personal review of the strain Gelonade
My personal takeaways from this strain were very enjoyable. This strain has a very enjoyable head and body high, helping me relax and feel less anxious while I was still able to smoke and do tasks I needed to do.
I personally like to test the way a high feels on me by being able to do tasks around the home ; cleaning, cooking, organizing and other chores. Seeing if I’m staying on task or if I find myself drifting away. The second test I like to do is sitting down and playing a puzzle game. Seeing how long said game will take me and if I have the attention span to finish it.
Gelonade helped with my focus of completing house hold chores and focusing on puzzles for long periods of time. One of the downsides to Gelonade in my personal opinion was the high personally did not last very long and only stayed peek for half a hour to forty minutes and made me incredibly hungry, That is a personal downside but may be what others would like to achieve from their high.
All around Gelonade is a really great smooth strain, leaving very little irritation on the back of my throat and very little coughing that is slowly becoming a personal favorite of mine.

Strain: Strawberry Lemonade (Sativa Dominant Hybrid) This is a nice strain for beginner smokers. A sweet note will hit your nose (when you give it a good sniff) although you may notice a lack of citrus, despite the name. This bud is nice for an introductory smoke or as filler/mixer with another strain. A gentle smoke and white ash will be accompanied with a not so overwhelming head high. No sleepiness with this one which also makes is optimal for a mid-workday pick me up. 5.5/10 could smoke again but probably won’t.

WEDNESDAY WEED REVIEWS - SHOCKWAVE by BC BLACK [A.K.A. Falcon 9 x Strawberries & Cream]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Coming in from PureFire in British Columbia, Shockwave does leave a lasting impression. It's a lighter high at first - but as time goes on, the light buzz gives way to a focused, laid-back, and productive high.
## First Impressions
When first opening the 3.5g bag purchased from Garden City Cannabis, [shoutout to Garden City Cannabis], we went in blind, and were more than pleasantly surprised to be met with such a powerful, herby, citrusy aroma, which I personally think smells like lemongrass, citrus, and rosemary, with hints of oregano, and of course, weed.
These mildly sticky nugs were small to medium size with a savanna grass green-tan coloration. Highlights of little orange fibers are visible, and the buds are glazed with a beautiful frosting of tiny, glistening trichromes.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately due to my cracked camera, it didn't pick up all the trichromes that well, and it also skewed the coloration mildly.
After a nice lookover and game of "pass the nug" we put 'er in the extendo-bong and lit 'er up.
## The Sesh
Tumblr media
Pictured above : the Extendo-Bong - photo courtesy of my smoke pal @redchaosscrungle
The first thing we noticed was the flavor of the smoke. My first impression was that of a rich herbal, fruity flavor, with the inhale flavor reminding me of oranges and berries, with an exhale being a bit spicier, all while retaining citrus and floral notes.
Each toke was a smooth one- especially with bong filters in place. While that's a good thing for many, be warned, it's so smooth, that with bong filters in place, it's easy to take too big of a toke without realizing it until you're already coughing - but that's alright. For what Shockwave delivers, it's definitely worth it.
The high came on quickly and smoothly with a light, cooling buzz, that took the edge off any anxiety or stress present. It was a light high at first, and we were a little worried it may stay that way - even with a few good tokes off the extendo-bong.
After a good twenty minutes, however, things started to change, and that light buzz progressed into a nice, productive, lighter midweight Sativa high with no signs of couch-lock in sight.
## Conclusion :
Shockwave definitely earned its name - despite not being a heavy high, it offers focus and functional drive - a clear mind, and a desire to do with a new viewpoint. Painting or reading a book, this strain is your friend.
Though I personally prefer heavier highs, this hybrid strain definitely does deliver an enjoyable experience - no matter the logic [or lackthereof] behind it.
THC : 29.36%
CBD : 0.30%
Terpenes : 4.10% [Limonene - 0.94%, Beta-Caryophyllene - 0.58%, Selina-3,7(11)-diene - 0.25%]

33. One Way (IC Collective) Live Rosin Badder
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Family
Chem, OG
P1: Crossroad Chem (1, 2) Originally bred by Skunk VA
GP1a: Chemdog 91 (2, 3) GP1b: SFV BX2 (2, 3)
P2: Fog Dog (1, 4) Originally bred by IC
GP2a: Chem D (4, 5) GP2b: Chemdog 91 (4, 6) GP2c: Chem Sis (4, 7)
Crossroad Chem is related phenotypically to Chem Krush, which I always thought IC developed themselves. The story is deeper though, with both phenos having been gifted to them by Skunk VA. One Way is very interesting in this sense of mixing two separate legacy cultivars of CD91. Skunk VA also refined SFV OG. We get all these, plus IC's CD91 siblings, in this strain. It is a masterful layering of old, precious genes guarded for decades by vaulted keepers of the flame.

Form
Doughy live rosin badder, medium firm but not dry, with dark blonde/sand/straw hues. Initially it appeared granular, almost sugary (photos 2 & 3 above), but after tooling & tamping it rested into a uniform consistency that is very easy to handle and dose. This aerated the mass, blooming the aroma and producing a slight terp sweat (photos 4 & 5 above).
Flavor
Sweet (Navel orange, Chem fruit, Gas)
After manipulating the badder, the aroma was very dank, skunky, almost foul. It is the first time I think I've detected skatole in an aroma after reading the Abstrax article that inspired this blog! If not for the lemon, orange, and fruit notes, this might smell somewhat tangie/fecal. There are subtler notes of floral earth, pine, and minerals, almost cement-like.
The flavor at 510° on my G7 Blender is superb. It follows the aroma closely. I tasted naval oranges and an elusive fruit candy note I call "Chem fruit", because it's the type of fruity notes I associate with various Chems, followed by sweet earthy kush and gas, which finished bright and candy like. After a few minutes the finish tasted very much like an orange chemsicle (what I imagine an Orange Creamsicle by Chemdog would taste like).
Felt Effects
This rosin is a stellar example of effects aligning with what I'd expect given the parents. They hit instantly in my body, which started with a wall of relief and relaxation that settled into a deep, heavy, neural hug, or what I'd describe as a clean, clinical, Kush effect. In my head, effects were classic Chem, which is to say very hazy, heady, lifted, and locked. I've read other people describe effects metaphorically in the sense of filling one's cup or expanding one's cup. I'd say the overall effects of One Way achieve both while packing a medicinal level of potency.
Effect: Strength of Evidence (0=None, 5=Optimal) Energy/Amplify: 5 Relaxation: 5 Relief: 5 Sleep: 4 Haze: 4 Lock: 5
Final Thoughts
This strain is a repeat pickup for me, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Chem, Kush, and potency. The effects are bona fide, and the flavor is quintessential with a subtle but surprising Tangie-like character. This batch was produced in August, and my previous pickup was from March. Between then and now, the form, flavor, and effects are consistent, if not improved. That is one reason I like IC Collective so much. Another reason is their commitment to legacy genetics, which this strain also showcases. I'll close by addressing something I've covered ad nauseum on Reddit, to the extent I don't pick it up there any longer. Some people struggle with the flavor in IC strains. As a rosin smoker maybe I’m more biased than a flower enthusiast, but as with flower vapor, low temps and clean gear are your friend! That really is the key. Very much like cooking an omelette. Use too much heat, a dirty skillet, or both, and them eggs are done, son.
melt shot x anthonyjames
I made two! I like practicing these using both my favorite nails. Both videos are set to the thunderous, heady, pummeling sound that is High On Fire. Enjoy!

It's time to weekend.
Firing it up with some Maven Paradiso, an indica dominant hybrid derived from Purple Push Pop and Cap Junkie. The description mentions Pomegranate, Floral, and Pepper but the scent is like peppered peet moss that was stored in an old empty cotton candy bag. The smoky flavor is heavy on the pepper that exacerbates in the aftertaste and a hefty chalky floral hookah note. No pomegranate for me.
It says euphoria, relaxation, and awareness are the effects. With the 34% THC hitting me, I am aware of being so relaxed that couch lock almost settled in. I could feel the booty trying to meld with the cushions, so I hopped up.
Definitely great for when you have zero responsibilities for a long while.
