The Zodiac Signs as Protagonists of a Fantasy Series (Updated)

(Libra | Cancer | Virgo | Leo) applies to Sun, Rising, MC, Chiron.

Once upon a time, there was a world long forgotten called Altheria, a magical, ancient kingdom founded by the people and creatures of abandoned fantasies. Tall mountains made of milky quartz rose high from islands of clouds, crowned by grand, pearlescent castles. The Altherian sky was an airy melange of pastels, and at night, erupted in a dazzling display of auroras. The land was adorned with white cherry blossoms trees that sung harp-like tunes in the wind, while great fountains of liquified diamonds, known for their healing properties, dotted the rest of the landscape. In this enchanted world, what is possible was merely a matter of imagining, such that the people of Altheria could conjure everything they need by thoughts alone. This ancient kingdom existed as an antithesis to reality, where the figures of children’s neglected daydreams could find a second home. At Altheria, childhood persevered. Just as the realm took care of them, the Altherians took care of each other, championing idealism, romanticism, community, and above all, sacrifice. The exemplary of these virtues are Altruists - winged beings with extraordinary magical capabilities, whose destiny it was to sustain and protect the kingdom.

CHAPTER I: THE FIRST ALTRUIST

Libra - The Banished Princess

(Applies to Sun, Rising, Midheaven, Chiron)

The kind, beautiful, and good-natured Libran Princess was not supposed to be a political threat in the Altherian Court.

She was the second daughter to the King, meant to enjoy an agreeable marriage to some Prince and spend her days decorating palaces.

But she was charming, perhaps too charming -- dazzling everyone at court ceremonies, and popular with the people for her grace and just dealings. It would make her a thorn in her elder sister's eyes, the heir apparent whom everyone was supposed to love more.

Soon after her sister's coronation, the new Queen would banish the Princess to a tower.

These were dark years that saw to the slow destruction of Libra's idealism. Yet, the Princess remained gracious despite her desolation. She treated her guards and handmaidens with politeness. After all, good manners was an aesthetic, and deprived of her pretty dresses, she held on to the last strand of beauty in her life.

Her kindness would soften the tower guards, and she was eventually permitted to pick flowers from the meadow nearby under their supervision.

Overtime, the guards would become more and more lenient with their watch, letting her roam further and further away from them.

It wasn't like they were under any risk. She would never be able to out run them and the region surrounding the tower was extremely treacherous.

Until one day, the Princess stumbled upon a person who claimed to be a farmer, hiding in the tall grass of the meadow. Out of hearing range from her captors, she was able to converse with the stranger. They were intrigued by one another and in these stolen moments hence forth, a love story unfolded.

The Princess soon discovered that the farmer was in fact a freedom fighter, rebelling against the oppressive reign of her elder sister. She, of course, was the entire reason why the fighter was there: they were gathering intel on her captivity for a rescue mission.

But instead of strategizing a political alliance in the face of imminent freedom, the Princess and the rebel found themselves fantasizing about a future together, on-the-run, but together.

On the night of her rescue, the lovers intended to do just that. They had just made it out of the nearest town and heading for the woods when the Princess, horrified by the state of her people, decided the to kill the only dream she had ever dreamed and asked to be taken to the borders.

The Princess would seek political asylum in a neighboring kingdom to gather allies and raise an army. To do so, she knew that she would need to offer her hand in marriage to the foreign Prince. They both knew.

Instead of biding her farewell, however, the fighter volunteered to follow her into the foreign Court and be her personal protector. However painful having to watch her marry someone else, they believed in her as a leader.

And she did just what she set out to do: married someone else while her beloved watched, raised an army, gathered allies. The fall of her sister's reign was so near, everyone could taste it.

So perhaps it was this final struggle for survival that her sister ordered the most lethal assassination attempt: death by dark magic. The usage of which would tear the soul into pieces.

The result would not be the Princess' head, but her lover's heart speared on a knife. The Princess would watch her beloved die.

The shock and anguish caused wings to tear from the Princess' back and began to flap vigorously. Everyone in the room was blinded by the white light emanating from her, whilst she found herself strangely familiar with magic that coursed through her vein. Unbeknownst to her then, she had become an Altruist - the first one.

With this new power, she easily took back the throne and became Queen of Altheria. She upheld the marriage to the foreign Prince, who maintained his Princehood within her kingdom. Using her magic, she created white cherry blossom trees that sang harp-like tunes in the wind, turned water into liquified diamonds with healing properties that shimmered in the light. She hoped that by surrounding her subjects with benevolent beauty, it would inspire idealism, romanticism, and hope for her people. After all, those were the qualities within herself that she had had to sacrifice and that she wished no one would have to do again. She would be right. Under her rule, the realm prospered, particularly arts and culture. Her people were happier and kinder to one another, but the Queen herself would be forever grieving.

Every year on the day of her beloved's death, Libra would return to meadow by the tower and lay amongst the flowers, dreaming of a life that could never be.

CHAPTER II: THE DARK AGES

(150 years after the Age of Libra)

Cancer - The Martyr

(Applies to Sun, Rising, Midheaven, Chiron)

Cancer arrived on the Altherian shore without knowledge of who she was or where she came from. All she remembered was that at some point, she had meant something to somebody, but now she was alone.

Fortunately, the beautiful landscape of Altheria reassured her and she felt less scared as she searched for some others who could help her make sense of it all.

She eventually wandered into a village and ran into an old couple who offered to take her in. She was reluctant at first, but their warmth and compassion were so palpable that she agreed.

Her instinct would not fail her. The old couple turned out to be even warmer and kinder than she could have imagined. Soon, Cancer found herself settling in comfortably to the family routine and developing deep love for her new parents. In that small, idyllic cottage housed the happiest time of her life.

But it was short-lived. Too soon would she lose her father to a fatal fall while he was out shopping, followed a year later by her mother's passing from a heart attack.

Aware of their old age, the old couple had already arranged for their relative to take care of Cancer should anything happen to them. So Cancer was re-homed, though this one less warm and far more crowded.

The relative had had a lot of children and saw her only as extra care for their little ones. Even though still little herself, Cancer was thus forced to become a parent, until one day, out of exhaustion, she accidentally let one of the kid go missing. The child would be found soon after, but that was enough for the relative to cast her out.

The Church would be her next home, though there was nothing familial about it. But it was here, amongst the hums of religious sermons, that she discovered the ability of stories to soothe one's loneliness and despair.

A few years later, the Church burnt down. Despite being the person who notified everyone of the fire and got them out in time, rumors swirled about the misfortunes that had befall anyone close to Cancer.

Now older, Cancer made her living by telling stories on the streets. Her stories were about domestic life, simple yet warm and comforting like the only two people who had ever shown her any kindness.

As she got more popular as a story-teller, so seemed the rumors about her using dark magic.

For awhile, it didn't matter. Cancer was cultivating a community who took comfort in her words and she found great purpose in providing a home for their pain.

But when famine struck the Altheria, the years of damning rumors made Cancer an easy scapegoat. Grabbing their pitchforks and torches, they captured her and carried her to the ocean from whence she came. They intended to drown her as a sacrifice.

People chanted pleas for forgiveness as they dragged her to the deep end and pushed her under the water.

Somewhere between alive and dead, she heard an earth shattering noise from above and their hands relenting. And then she felt warm and light. Could it be? At long last? It occurred to her that if she was going to heaven then she would like to see it. So she opened her eyes to find that she was flying! She had grown wings.

But the sky she was flying towards was no sky at all. She couldn't believe her eyes. There was a gaping hole in the sky while everything else was grey and stormy. The ocean was black and violent.

Cancer turned to look at the people who had tried to drown her. They now looked at her in awe and terror. She knew then that she could save them -- these poor lost souls.

Without further thought, she flew into the gaping hole. She did not know what she would do when she got there, she just knew that she could save them, somehow.

Then she felt a wonderful feeling - like she was full but not heavy. She felt herself expanding and expanding until she stopped thinking.

When she could think again, she was no longer a body. She had become the sky, their sky. And she was beautiful. She could see herself in the reflection of the ocean below. At long last, she finally belonged somewhere.

So glad to come upon this post when I was just thinking about my own Cancer Midheaven. It's funny how in astrology you can revisit your own chart and placements and still surprise yourself.

Cancer Midheaven struggles:

-overextending yourself at work

-caregiving at work whether in a caregiving profession or not

-second guessing yourself and your work/worth

-needing emotional fulfilment in a job

These are themes that have hounded my adulthood. I already have a lot of cardinal energy in my chart so combine that with a Cancer MC and the moment I am emotionally dissatisfied, I leave. On the plus side, I have definitely been instrumental in helping workplaces feel more bonded, like a family. I have also found myself called to help heal people that I work with. This could be through advice or through my love, time and attention. I guess as I write that I can see why it would be important to preserve my energy. Can't be pouring all that love into the wrong *corporation* hands.

The Truth about Cancer placements

I feel so sick and tired of reading stuff like “they are sad placements, they are so sensitive, they’re crybaby, they’re drowning inside, they will cry, they are more lovers than fighters”.

As a Cancer sun, mercury, rising so basically a cancer stellium, I suggest you to read this and put aside all of your beliefs because this is a lesson of astrology.

Cancer placements/ Stellium in Cancer or in 4th house/4th house placements

First and for all, Cancer is a cardinal sign. So when you think about Aries, Libra or Capricorn, you can also think Cancer. Cardinal sign means leader, innovator, first, hot headed at times, restless energy. Definitely not as weak and fragile as cancers seem.

Second, the ruler of Cancer (placements, stellium, rising, 4th house) is the moon and there is a part of the moon we can never see. That’s exactly where the strength of cancer placements lies. Their darkness, their manipulation tactics, their desire to be first under all that love and light, their repressed anger, the urge to be powerful in the background while letting others think they’re in control. They love helping people but they also know how to keep a professional distance. They can’t get involved too much with their patients. SYNASTRY OBSERVATIONS 2

Accuracy influenced by entire natal chart. This is NOT a person read. Looking at only aspect or placement will only give general information.

Lilith conjunct ASC:

Strong attraction. A forbidden kind of attraction. Could be due to many reasons. Possible examples:

One is significantly older, One is already in a relationship at the time of meeting, One could be a coworker or person in authority.

Chiron conjunct ASC:

Chiron person could be triggered by ASC person. Due to their lifestyle, attitude or approach to life.

For EX, let’s say this occurs in the sign of gemini. This sign is typically fast, curious and communicative. The chiron person may have grown up misunderstood their entire lives. They struggle to communicate and/or be understood effectively. The ASC gemini person likely has a fast thinking, fast moving way of life. They’re curious, bore easily and move onto the next topic fast. If the ASC gemini person isn’t willing to slow down, they risk hurting chiron. As chiron may not feel they mix well with ASC person’s lifestyle.

Chiron conjunct Venus:

An amazing placement especially if the man is venus. Venus’s natural way of expressing love can heal chiron.

I’ve seen this happen in the sign of Capricorn. In past relationships, chiron questioned whether they were enough. Their ex critiqued them and negatively compared them to other women.

In their marriage with a Venus Cap, they feel absolutely appreciated and admired.

Sun conjunct Venus:

The couple above also has this aspect. The woman is a Cap sun, she naturally has the traits this Venus Cap desires in a wife. The Venus Cap often talks highly about her. He tells her and others he can’t believe she even exists because she is his dream girl. He has said before he’s shocked someone so perfect would be with him. This aspect can be a good ego boost for the Venus person.

Venus conjunct Jupiter:

Really positive. When these two are together there is an abundance of love and joy. A good marriage/long term connection indicator. It’s hard to resist each other because of the good times/feelings you have when together.

The only downside, these two may overindulge too much when together. Leading to enabling behaviour. Possibly overspending and overdoing.

So while it can be good, 2 times I’ve seen this as Jupiter feeling drained in the end. They poured so much into Venus to keep them happy but Venus never felt satisfied/always desired more. The other 1 time I’ve known a couple with this aspect, it resulted in marriage. I believe this aspect may work better when Jupiter is the man & Venus is the woman.

Chiron conjunct Chiron:

This can manifest as bonding over similarities in your past struggles. However, if both are not in a matured stage of life, they may trigger each other. Bringing out the worst behaviours in each other.

Moon Square Moon:

This could create tension that leads to passion. Scorpio and fire sign venus may enjoy this aspect in their relationships. However, it may lead to emotional pain. Both could struggle to understand & properly care for the other.

Aries Moon Square Cancer Moon:

This is particularly difficult from what I’ve seen. The aries moon felt the cancer moon is “weak” and “overly sensitive”. The aries moon expresses passion in a more aggressive & teasing manner. The cancer moon, especially if they don’t have fire sign placements, could be hurt by this. They don’t understand and/or like the way aries moon’s expresses themselves.

COMPOSITE CHART OBSERVATIONS:

MC conjunct Uranus: To outsiders, the relationship feels unstable. The relationship may have on and off stages.

Mars in 12th. Generally, this isn’t a good placement. Indicates hidden resentment. One person likely does not fully understand the reason for the other’s anger/frustration.

- I’ve seen this manifest as a woman who many bad experiences with men in the past. This made her untrusting of her boyfriend. She feels past experiences made her take some frustrations out on her boyfriend. He did not fully understand her angry outbursts since he wasn’t doing anything wrong.

Moon in 12th. A positive manifestation is knowing what the other needs subconsciously. You are in tune with each other’s feelings on a deeper level.

A negative manifestation is one person’s emotional needs are not being met. For this reason, they are unable to feel comfortable and properly loved.

2nd house ruler in 12th. In my opinion, this is the worst to have. This suggests one’s ability to feel secure is lost. Trust does not come easy. Communication needs to be strong to overcome this placement.

12th H Libra

12th can reveal what may potentially break the couple up or be a hidden problem in the relationship. By hidden I mean issues that are repressed or a sub conscious issue.

In the sign of Libra, inability to compromise, inability to peacefully resolve problems and inability to be make decisions together could be a problem.

Venus in 12th H

The couple may struggle with emotional intimacy. The physical is easy and enjoyable but emotionally opening up is not.

This can indicate a relationship where for some reason the couple hides their love when in front of people. And/Or they hide their true feelings from each other.

This is a tricky placement. While the two are interested in one another, creating a harmonious connection is not easy. Peace is disrupted. The couple can be chaotic.

Jupiter in 12th H

This is actually positive in my experience. The couple has luck on their side to solve any issues. However, luck may not be enough to save the connection if it turns sour. Yet, there will be many opportunities to resolve their problems. The two have a genuine desire to fight for one another. The two can understand each other on an intuitive level. You just get each other.

Example: This is actually my friend’s observation. She observed in the composite of her parents, Jupiter and Venus are in conjunction in 12th H. She told me her parents have had a lot of struggles but remain happily together. There is an abundance of love.

Her mom once told her, her and her dad were literally made for one another. No matter what problems arises only the two of them will be able to help one another. No one else will be able to understand them.

Some astrologers say Venus is the wife and Jupiter is the husband so when conjunct in composite, it can be that saving grace placement.

Sun in First House

The relationship can be the main focus of your life. This can be good or bad. It’s not healthy to cut off your own personal life to cater to one person. But if you can maintain your own identities, this should be a good placement.

I’ve noticed when this is in composite the couple can become known for the relationship. Especially, if Sun is the 10th H ruler and/or if the 10th H has many planets.

Mars in First House

There can be a lot of energy in this relationship. Arguments are bound to happen in any relationship but for this one in particular there will be many. If you are two people who are good at resolving issues and kind of enjoy a more chaotic dynamic, this can work out well.

However, if you don’t like your peace disrupted and fights make you uneasy, this is not a good indicator for a relationship.

You may become known for being “that couple”. Good or bad. Depending on whether people find out about your fights.

Mercury in First House

You don’t fear judgement when together. You can talk about anything and everything. This is a good indicator. A couple that never runs out of things to talk about. It isn’t necessarily a romantic or sexual indicator. So if not supported by other placements in the chart, this can be a relationship where the spark dies out quickly. Better off as friends kind of relationship.

Uranus & Neptune in 4th H

This relationship has a rocky foundation. You may love the idea of what can be more than what is happening. Fantasizing about how you’ll become a better couple when in reality it’s not going so well.

This can be an on and off connection. Whether you are together and committed to one another is not always clear.

If God desired to crystallize the whole ocean into a small orb, that orb would indeed be Pisces Ascendant/Mc or Neptune prominent people's eyes. There is something in their gaze that causes you to get mislay in them as if you are eyeing a captivating creation of nature. Their eyes can be the mark of serenity and mist.

An individual who doesn't have the standard beauty or the ideal beauty yet still manages to outdo most by their identity and different aura is surely a person with Aquarius/ Uranus prominence.

*just based on my opinions, only take what resonates

I feel like 2nd house overlays can make you overly forgiving towards the person with planets in your 2nd house. It’s a Venusian house and that can bring a sort of desire to see the best in that person (7th can have this effect to a lesser degree imo bc Libra is focused on balance, so there’s affection there but it’s less likely to skew into being overly forgiving)

Chiron in the first can be a very beautiful person when they’ve really healed their wounds. A person who has a sort of glow from their inner light.

Earth moons in general like to receive and give gifts and Capricorn moons tend to be hyper fixated on giving the right gifts to the people they’re close to

5th house Venus could make you more creative in a relationship

7th house venus/Taurus/Libra definitely creates more in a healthy relationship

Mars conjunct MC could mean being known for a career in violence, like martial artist or action star

Lilith MC could mean success in a taboo career, like s*x work or just some alternative field (I’m a tattoo artist :0)

People with planets conjunct your south node are definitely tied to your past life and may be destined to do certain actions towards/with you

North Node overlays can also be tied to past life but they’re usually here to make sure you grow in some capacity/move towards your destiny.

Your Venus sign could show the most beloved features of your body (Sagittarius Venus- a lot of people may notice your legs, Libra Venus- a lot of people may notice your butt, Virgo Venus- a lot of people may notice your hands, etc)

Moon conjunct Jupiter could make you very empathetic, could also make people see your emotions as big whenever you express them

Wherever Pluto aspects (trine, Sextile) your personal planets shows where you can be the most transformative (or obsessive/possessive lowkey, especially for harsh aspects like square/oppositions— conjunct feels the intensity of both). Moon can show that your emotions push you to transform, Venus is this for your personal/romantic relationships, Saturn is how you use the lessons it teaches and how it affects your self discipline, etc

Leo in 6th could point to dealing with performance anxiety

Cancer in 8th could point to trauma around family (Scorpio over 4th could point to this too)

Gemini in 8th could point to trauma with neighbors/siblings/cousins/the education system or communication in general (Scorpio over 3rd could point to this too)

Sagittarius in 8th can point to having religious trauma or having intense/taboo experience with religion (Scorpio over 9th could point to this too)

Capricorn can show where you start to lose yourself and can’t go through with when your stressed (I have Capricorn in 3rd and I literally lose my voice when I internalize stress, it’ll start cracking so fast it’s spooky. Capricorn in 5th could mean you absolutely cannot relax when your stressed. In 6th your health starts to act up immediately and you catch colds. In 1st you may have issues with your skin/breakouts when you’re stressed out.)

Mercury in 12th could stay up all night overthinking or experiencing intrusive thoughts

Virgo moons that oversimplify are underdeveloped

The mother of a Capricorn moon views love as super transactional (like if you don’t give them a hug you don’t love them, instead of the child being a person who deserves their own autonomy)(I was watching Beef and I got frickin triggered when Ali Wong’s character said her daughter was “supposed to love her forever” but wouldn’t give her a hug when Ali wanted her to, so she thought her daughter’s love was conditional— I was like holy sh*t I’ve heard that before!! Lol Saturn moon gang lol)
