"We have food at home": Siegfried, Georgios, Kotarou
*Pulls into the drive through as the children cheer**Orders a single black coffee and leaves*: Kriemhild
"MCDONALD'S! MCDONALD'S! MCDONALD'S!": Karna, Jack, Taisui, Eli

"What's a McDonald's": Sieg, Gray, Iyo
#Fate/Grand Order#fgo#day#I could've added Janta too but I currently don't have her#if I had to place her maybe between the bottom left and right - leaning more towards the right#... just realized that I don't have Abby as well FUCK-#I guess that she would be part of the ''what's a McD0nald's'' group#added S3tanta ahead of time since he's a welfare

#confessions#one of the better parts of the fgo subreddit is that whenever a new item#relating to a historical figure is found (ex from the past year: the found Mozart piece)#several people will jokingly go ''looks like a HGW is happening soon''#so no anon it's not just you

Ever look at a character and “man, I wish the writers didn’t hate you”
#not fate related#(for the most part)#Lalter...#I don't think either of her writers (Sakurai and Nasu) hate her#but they certainly don't love her either

Day 840:
Siegfried continues to do nothing wrong, but it would've been nice if he left a note or something telling me that I can MLB Kaleidoscope. :/
#Fate/Grand Order#fgo#day#took me roughly two months to realize that I have enough copies for this damn CE#since I leveled up my first copy and just. forgot about it when I got four more

Oh wait they actually dropped the clear canon etymology for Koyanskaya's name outside of the 'Yaskaya' stuff that was going on in Tunguska Sanctuary, which is that it's directly қоянская "Koyaanskaya" ("қоян"/'koyaan' being rabbit in Kazakh and "ская"/'-skaya' being a feminine ending in Russian). I speak neither language so I don't know how well this actually plays out.
The script does claim that қоянская means "Miss Rabbit" (as in the script says 'ミス・うさぎちゃん' or 'Miss Usagi-chan'), but based on the stuff I've seen around the -sk/-skaya suffix, it seems more like a descriptor rather than an honorific? Sort of like how '-ish' is used in English for words like 'Foxish' or how '-ian' would be used for words like 'Russian'.
So 'Koyanskaya' would maybe be more akin to a feminine referral of 'Bunnylike' rather than straight up 'Miss Rabbit'. But also the NPC who was explaining this had like 3 lines of dialogue and getting into the weeds about how Koyanskaya's name may or may not hold up in reference to the actual language it's supposed to be based around isn't exactly necessary. I don't know- Nasu's elaborated more in regards to less.
And also, I don't speak Kazakh nor Russian so I'm not about to pretend like I'm an expert. It's more solid of an explanation than her simply and only mishearing 'Yaskaya' as a Tunguska Event Doom Baby.
And from what I understand, 'Yaskaya' is an incredibly obscure name in Russia at best, so the canon lore for her name does end up feeling like Dobrynya found the Tunguska Event Doom Baby, gave it a super weird name, and then when Koyan was growing and trying to remember what she was called she went "...no... no that can't be right..." and tried her best to put together something that made sense to her.
