Heute ist unser letzter Tag in Vancouver. Eine grossartige Stadt. Um 12h00 checken wir aus im Pan Pacific Hotel direkt am Canada Place gelegen. Von dort geht es mit dem Yellow Cab in 35 Minuten für 40.- Can$ zum Flughafen.

In der SkyTeam Lounge warten wir auf unseren Rückflug der sich um eine Stunde verzögert, da unsere Maschine aus Zürich mit Verspätung ankommt. Um 17h30 geht’s dann endlich Richtung Abflugpiste. Noch auf dem Rollfeld meldet Captain Beat Frauenknecht einen medizinischen Notfall an Bord. Wir müssen zum Gate zurückkehren. Die Person verlässt das Flugzeug und mit ihr das Gepäck welches noch aus dem Frachtraum geholt werden muss. Das kostet nochmals eine halbe Stunde Verspätung. Doch dafür haben alle Passagiere an Bord Verständnis auch wenn die Anschlussflüge in Zürich nicht mehr garantiert werden können. Während des Rückflugs kann die verloren gegangene Zeit nicht mehr aufgeholt werden.

Die Pünktlichkeit entspricht nicht dem, was ich von einer Lufthansa-Tochtergesellschaft erwarten darf.
