♡ My thoughts on Yennskier + headcanons ♡

- What makes this whole thing so funny and exciting to me is that Yennefer used to think that Jaskier was just some annoying sing songy twit before. While Jaskier's dramatic arse used to consider Yennefer an enemy until she saved him from Rience XD XD XD

- I adored the everliving FUCK out of their scenes together in season 2! Their dynamic is so fucking good! AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

- Yennskier, the ship we didn't know we needed, but definitely deserved! Their chemistry is so fucking perfect and their dynamic works so well!

- Personally I think that this ship is actually, currently, THE healthiest and most wholesome one of all my Jaskier ships! At least as of season 2! (Even if Geraskier remains as my OTP)

- In Oxenfurt, when Jaskier and Yennefer got to know eachother better without Geralt's presence to distract them both, ever since they saw the real, raw and vulnerable sides of eachother and became friends, I couldn't help but notice how absolutely toothrottingly perfect they are together!

- Legit, and I kid you not! I can't picture Yennefer and Jaskier having anything other than that deep kind of connection where you know that you are loved, appreciated and adored, despite all your flaws. The kind of love where you know you're not alone, that this person is your family and will always have your back no matter what.

- Yennefer, despite being one of the most powerful sorceresses on the entire continent, treats Jaskier as an equal by the time Ciri gets possessed. (Bro, like even Geralt doesn't do that! Jaskier is his friend, sure, but I've never seen Geralt treating him as an equal.)

- Yennefer and Jaskier have a mutual respect for eachother, they trust eachother, they enjoy eachother's company. All of those things are A CRUCIAL part of having a solid foundation to build a honest, sturdy, long-lasting and happy relationship upon.

- From compatibility POV, they work together a lot better than Geralt and Yennefer did. With Jaskier, there are no djinn related consent issues, there wouldn't be any communication issues and he would probably be a positive influence on Yennefer's mental health.

- Whereas her relationship with Geralt was quite frankly chaotic, explosive, sometimes even toxic. It was built upon a shaky foundation of lust, djinn magic and exchanged favors. Like c'mon, their time together as an on-and-off couple mostly consisted of having kinky unicorn sex, trauma dumping, dealing with magical, gorey and insanely dangerous situations, then talking about said situations until they have a fight! Leaving eachother every time in the end because they can't seem to make it work long-term. They're incompatible because in canon, the only thing that finally made them stick together for good, was an orphaned girl in need of protection. It's not right, kind of like parents who are postponing their divorce until their daughter grows up :/

- Jaskier on the other hand, despite his magic-less ordinary humanity has a hilariously witty, optimistic, stupidly brave, highly empathetic, loyal and supportive personality. Yennefer would have an understanding partner who loves her, cherishes her, acceptc her for who she is without judgement nor pity. A partner who would make it his life's mission to help her see the good things this world has to offer, to make her happy because she deserves it!

- Damn it all, they both have been through enough, they both deserve a break. They actually GET eachother. I can already feel a drabble forming in my brain, set a week or so after the whole Voleth Mier shebang, Jaskier is struggling with PTSD and nightmares about Rience, Yennefer is struggling with guilt and shame because she put Ciri in danger. So while Geralt is too busy with Ciri's training to be there for Jaskier and he feels too betrayed to be in Yennefer's company, neither Yen nor Jask have anyone to turn to in Kaer Morhen, except eachother. Three months confined to a witcher keep together? Now that is a LOT of time to spend with someone you can be openly vulnerable around, bond with, heal and share joy with, unexpectedly falling in love....

- Yennefer too is an extremely good match for Jaskier, it's almost uncanny how much she completes him! Jaskier would finally have an understanding and loving partner who truly saw him when others didn't bother. And Yennefer liked what she saw, the familiar face of a simple human bard who offered kindness and compassion to strangers even if it could kill him. She saw courage, honesty, forgiveness and so much good, a collection of rare qualities she had never thought could exist within one single person all at once. After Voleth Mier, all that goodness was given to her so freely, it is still being given to her everyday, so she knows a treasure when it looks her right in the eyes with such easy warmth. She would make it her life's mission to cling onto him with everything she's got, to love and cherish him the way he deserves, to protect the only person she deems worthy of holding her heart!

- They have a lot in common too. From both having a knack for fashion, both being mischievous little shits at heart and both having high standards when it comes to personal hygiene. To also having similar tastes in both alcohol, humor, luxury and entertainment.....if Yennefer's kinky orgy party and Jaskier's reputation as the biggest slut on the continent is anything to go by.

- Speaking of sex, both of them having a high libido and exceptional skills in bed aside, they're fucking GORGEOUS people! Why wouldn't they find eachother attractive?

- Yennefer is basically a Goddess, beauty personified! She is elegant and breathtaking, everyone knows it.

- However, since a majority of the Witcher fandom usually dismisses Jaskier in favor of simping for Geralt, I can, I must and I WILL gush about how pretty Jaskier is! Cuz clearly some of them bitches be blind, Yennefer is one lucky witch!

- Jaskier is like only 1,5 inches shorter than his grouchy snowman friend. Meaning he is tall as all hell and he definitely isn't lacking in the muscle department either, that bard is jacked yo. His voice is soothing and his vocabulary is extensive enough to make the most experienced of whores blush from pillow talk. He has VERY soft looking hair and he has one of the most angelic fucking faces I've ever seen. His eyes are the clearest shade of blue and his expressions + mannerisms are absolutely adorable! Ok, I'm done gushing, onto the next point....

- Unlike Jaskier, I don't think I have a dummy thick enough of a vocabulary to express how much dopamine Yennskier fanfics give me, more specifically when their husband and wife act from Oxenfurt becomes an inside joke for them, leaving the rest of Kaer Morhen's inhabitants confused as fuck.

- Geralt getting a bit jealous? His brothers wondering when that could have happened? Ciri feeling bamboozled as well?

- It's all shits and giggles until somebody giggles and shits. It won't take long until their inside joke is no longer a joke. They already bicker like a married couple anyway XD

- I can not help but also headcanon Jaskier as not fully human. It would be sad if he up and died on his dear immortal wife. I don't necessarily picture him having chaos or other powers in this scenario, but when I do, I think that they would discover them together on accident.

Hi! :) thanks for the ask, I love receiving asks but sometimes its a little bit overwhelming.

Self/job: I'm an introverted hobbyist. I do clay sculptures as well besides drawing and tipped my toes a tiny little bit in animatronic but ufff that's rough. But I still want to work on my Monty animatronic head (fnaf).

I work as a kindergarten teacher.

hello!!! yeah, i love receiving asks, lmao, & as for ur questions:

Self: I'm Estethell, shortened to Este, and I'm Italian. I'm 31 years old, I live with a partner and I have two cats and a turtle as children. I have a great passion for fantasy and history, I read a lot of books, I really like to draw and I collect Tamagotchi. Once upon a time my secret dream was to become a professional designer, now I aspire to become a programmer!

Job/Work: I recently finished a training to become a programmer and now I'm looking for a job. For the rest I'm busy as a housewife at home 😂

Ship fandoms: I'm not really in a fandom at the moment and that's very unfortunate, however my favourite ships are: Nori/Bofur (The Hobbit), Bagginshield (The Hobbit), SpideyPool and Poolverine (Marvel), Alexios/Stentor (AC Odissey), Doctor Strange/Iron Man (Marvel), a lot of ships from Hetalia, Geralt/Jaskier (The witcher) and others I don't remember now!

Pets: My kids!! I have two female cats, Pixel and Ginger, both European cat race.

Pixel is special because she is brown tabby with a white chest but has a completely orange paw, it looks like she stole it from another cat LOL! She is very snobbish so we call her "the noble". She is quite independent so she is not very sociable. Now she has two year at September.

Ginger is a big orange cat, very lively and always running around the house. She scares easily but is very sociable. She has a difficult history behind her. She was a rabid cat who was found stuck in an abandoned house when she was pregnant, she had no way to feed herself. A friend of mine took her in, cared for her, gave birth and then when it was possible she had both the mother and the kittens adopted. And Ginger became my daughter 💖 I don't know how old Ginger is, but she arrived at our house at the end of January.

Hegel is a sternotherus odoratus turtle, she is twelve years old and has a really funny little face. He was a Christmas present from my sister because I wanted a water turtle and since then I have always taken care of her

Garden and Hobbies: Unfortunately, I'm not very good at taking care of plants so I don't do gardening. My main hobbies are reading, drawing, playing video games, watching funny videos and eating sweets (is that a hobby???)

Fandom stuff:

I do like Tolkien, The Hobbit, Bagginshield, and LOTR. I don't really have strong opinions on ships and will consume whatever floats my interest for that fandom. (Haven't gotten into Silmarillion yet.)

Although I have seen quite a bit of Sherlock, I wouldn't consider myself an active member of the fandom. I would passively consume it if I happened upon it.

Other fandoms I'm into would be Big Wolf on Campus, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Revolutionary Girl Utena, The Almighty Johnsons, Sailor Moon, Young Hercules... Critical Role (tho I'm very behind in C3). Probably others I can't think of right now.

I don't draw much lately so I haven't really posted art to tumblr, but I don't mind drawing things from time to time. I recently bought a tablet I need to figure out. I used to write a lot. I do some volunteer stuff here and there.

omg this is such a good idea, thank you so much! i agree, i remember asks being HUGE on this site years ago but they definitely seem to have dropped away a little bit :( this is an incredibly kind thing to do <3

self: ask away, anything im not comfortable i will just say i guess? (so sorry thats SO vague) work: absolutely but be warned that if you ask about my degrees i will ramble at you fandoms: we have so much in common, ABSOLOUTELY. the only one of this list i no longer engage with is sherlock. ones i am actively engaging with are the hobbit, lord of the rings, tolkien (ships - bagginshield, samfrodo, gigolas, and most popular ones), dragon age (ships - i engage with most here aside from anders/hawke and solas/lavellan. i dont hate them but i dont engage with them out of personal preference. my canon playthroughs are surana/alistair fenris/hawke, lavellan/cullen so i tend to rb more of these). i do the EXACT same with the other fandoms you listed off the top of your head lmao.

only other thing here is that i post A LOT about my dnd campaigns.

ok actual thoughts on s2!

- between marathoning it in a single day & the fact that i was cross stitching the whole time (had christmas gifts to finish) i def need to watch it again. i know for a fact i missed at least 1 important detail bcos i was looking away from the screen. i can't tell if it got rly confusing later on or if i was just getting burned out.

- overall i enjoyed it tho!! and i'm not just saying that for shipper reasons :3

spoilers:

- the Eskel thing was dumb. like i'm not big mad bcos i wasn't that invested in Eskel but i'm just over here like. ok that was bound to piss off existing fans. & it's not going to mean anything to new fans bcos they completely failed to properly establish Eskel's relationship w Geralt or the other witchers. i liked the transformation thing but mostly it was just. dumb. they could have just had it be a background witcher instead of Eskel and it would have made almost no difference.

- i can't judge fully having not read the books but it felt like it. packed in a huge amount of plot and yet simultaneously didn't cover a lot of plot? like so much happened but when i got to the end i was like huh that didn't feel like the plot of a whole book

- i liked the nivellan episode. a lot. it got overshadowed a bit by everything else that happened but it was a good episode and i loved the bruxa.

- i liked the geraskier content... i was hoping for a little more but given how plot heavy the season was i don't think there was ever going to be much interaction. im actually kind of surprised they addressed the mountain thing at all.

- also fghghfhfgh jaskier running an underground railroad for elves?? was not expecting that at all and i love it

Y'know, I kinda get bugged by Geraskier fics that tend to gloss over the ship dynamic pre-mountain with lines like "Jaskier had brought light to Geralt's world and Geralt had only ever treated him poorly" or whatever.

I'm sorry, and I know we say one can't control matters of the heart, but I just find it unfeasible for Jaskier to fall for a man who shit and spat on him at absolutely every turn. He may lack survival instincts but nobody is THAT much a glutton for punishment. (Also, on the other side of things, I get a bit frustrated when the writing tries too hard to make Jaskier seem so unselfish. Nah, guys, he's human. He literally begged to use Geralt so he could become famous off his witcher identity, even if the bard claimed later that they'd become best friends. Not to mention the countless times he would have dragged Geralt into his cuckolding problems by seeking protection. Etc etc.)

I know the Netflix adaptation has done fuck all to give us much more than that but come on...

Gotta admit, this is part of why I do greatly enjoy fics by @penandinkprincess, because they make a point of writing a Geralt who can absolutely be a bit of a caregiver (specifically pre-mountain and not as penance after the mountain), or who can be sympathetic or considerate. Even if he can be emotionally constipated or snarky in the same breath.

Another prime example would be this fic by leaveanote (@welcomemysentence here on Tumblr), which makes a point of creating a dialogue in chapter-flippin'-one where Geralt voices his concern that he doesn't deserve to even try and be happy and make Jaskier happy because all he's ever done is cause Jaskier pain and Jaskier shuts that down himself.

I love me that shit. (I had at least two other paragraphs written on this post but I cut them because I don't want it to seem like I'm harking on the fandom. I absolutely adore the fics, I'm so grateful for all the creativity and laser focus Geraskier fic writers have utilized. Sometimes I just see a trend and it bugs me a bit.)

Last reclist of 2021, YAY. It wasn't the best year for me as far as reading goes. But all in all, I am happy that I decided to make these posts. I am probably not gonna do it for 2022, but never say never. Maybe I'll come back with more sporadic single fic sharing. ANYWAY, let's get into it. (And yes, I am aware that there are still 5 days left in December, but I'll be so busy I won't have much time for reading. Let alone writing posts.)

Star Wars (Prequels/The Clone Wars)

I don't think anyone is surprised at this post in seeing me mention this wonderful fic. I can honestly say that it made me ship two characters I knew very little about. Can't wait to read the sequel to this 500k premise. I already know I am gonna enjoy the plot with all the little hints we already have. (Honestly excited at the idea of seeing more Jedi I know nothing about get thrown in the mix. I am sure I'll end up falling in love with them as well).

How bad is it if at first I was excited about reading this fic just because I knew there was gonna be a bottom Obi-Wan with a major pain kink? Just kidding (not really but let's move on). The story is honestly tropey in the best way possible and I enjoyed reading it just as much as I enjoy every other fanfiction from this particular author. I can honestly say she's my "author of the year" and each time I get a notification that she posted a one-shot or finished one of her WIP, I forget about whatever I was reading and open her fanfiction. So, let's just say I mention this one fic of hers for this month but you can pick any other one in her author page and be sure it'll be a nice read. You just have to choose how dirty and deranged you're in the mood for.

Star Wars (Original Trilogy, The Mandalorian, Rebels)

- To Dying Well by Laelish (@laelish) Din/Luke/Ezra - 2.732 words - Rating G - Mandalorian Wars AU, Mandalorian Ezra

I can't really express how much I enjoyed this short story and how happy I was to see the author decided to expand on this idea with a separate fic (currently a WIP, but I enjoyed this one so much I am willing to read it before it's finished anyway). You should also check out their art here on tumblr if you are interested in more content with this ship. (Skybridjarin stole my heart and I don't know how to live without it.)

This fic was so good that I stayed up til 2 AM despite having to wake up early the next morning to do a job interview. The way is takes a deep dive in Jaskier's mind and insecurities destroyed me in the best way possibile and I was literally sobbing while reading most of the last two chapters. Can't wait to read the sequel with Geralt's POV of the whole adventure because at this point I wanna absolutely know how much I need to call Geralt a hypocrite for never being the one how told Jaskier he was attracted to him.

You can tell I was in a mood for very heavy angst and curses during December because we have yet again a fic with someone suffering because they are dummies that refuse to actually speak. ANYWAY, I enjoyed way too much Geralt's POV and how he struggled with being close to Jaskier despite hurting. I honestly can perfectly understand Jaskier's rant after Geralt almost died in his arms.

So that happened. God. Okay so my thoughts are going to be jumbled and probably will miss some stuff but here it goes...

Lauren, what the fuck? What was that?? This show started out so promising and then s2 came along and ruined so much.

Let me just say that I did enjoy some of s2. Papa Geralt and Ciri scenes made me very happy. They were so good. And honestly better than I expected. Kaer Morhen not so much. I actually thought they show the Witchers just bonding or anything to show how close they all are. Instead we got naked women and gross men.. not a likable Witcher in sight. They wrote them all so badly and ooc. ESKEL??? WHY? that was so bullshit. I'm sorry I can't even call that person Eskel because it wasn't.

Mama Tissaia. I adored Yennefer with her mom moments. Tissaia is a mama bear. Loved the interaction between Geralt and Tissaia. Was it worth it line gives me chills.

Vesemir. I wanted to like him. He really pissed me off. Most of the time and the whole going behind Geralt's back to turn an emotionally wrought Ciri made him even worse. I know grayness. But that was low. And he wants to make more witchers?? UM how about no.... bad idea.... like we know Geralt still struggles with what he became. Ugh. I didn't like anything about Kaer Morhen. The way they portrayed the witchers to be bullies and just not very honorable.....yikes

Okay Triss. Her whole arc was a mess. I love her but she was weird. Then making Ciri feel even worse about herself in the end... which is the opposite of book Triss.

I really did enjoy Jaskier and Yennefer. They really brought the Yennskier vibes. Honestly one of the better ships and they're not even canon. Yenn saving him was so badass. All their scenes were perfect. Jaskier checking on Yen in the end(the only one too actually, honestly Geralt, fuck you) I love them. Glad at least one of my ships was well done.

Yennefer my beloved. You were treated so badly.... I want to fight everyone. Whoever thought that Yen could betray Ciri for even a moment deserves to be taken out and beaten. Idc. It was horrible. Book Yen would NEVER. SHE LOVED Ciri and immediately adopts her. So what the fuck, again Lauren. I'm so mad. Yennefer and Ciri's bond deserved to be untainted. She never betrays her even when Geralt thinks she does and then he finds out she didn't. So it was so ooc. Not my Book Yen. Yennefer then has to grovel after Geralt and while I don't blame tv geralt for being mad, come one(even Jaskier sticks up for her) Yennefer has no magic because plot. She is the hero of Sodden but no one knows... She has to prove herself constantly yet it's never enough.

Also how does it make sense that Yennefer tries to save an innocent baby, saves Cahir, saves Jaskier, but then she's willing to sacrifice Ciri even though she knows Ciri is Geralt's daughter. How? What. No. That makes no sense. She wouldn't she values life. Period. It doesn't work. And they ruined Yenralt. They literally have a complicated love as it is then they have Yennefer taking Ciri to Cintra.... when we should've got them actually bonding.... I was shocked at Geralt holding a sword to Yen's neck.... No, book Geralt wouldn't ever. The writing is so bad. I don't see how they can fix this.

Then Yennefer saves Ciri and nothing. Geralt never thanks her or sees if Yen is okay? Also how tf are the Witchers so weak? You're telling me they couldn't take those basilisk monsters out? Yeah right.

Ciri should've been wrecked at killing all her Witcher friends. The girl who is caring guilt from always getting people killed or hurt unintentionally because of who she is. She should've broken down. Even though she was possessed, Ciri would be wracked with more guilt. Bad writing.

What made you ship it?

I just thought it was super compelling and let's be honest it fits all the fandom tropes so nicely. I mean Geraskier really is the ship of the fandom, like no other ships even compare as far as popularity goes. And I also think that there is something so nice about this sheltered bard character getting to see the world for the first time running headlong into this gritty Witcher. And then over time they just become such essential parts of each other's lives. And also fandom has written such amazing meta and content for this ship, I can't help but ship it and enjoy it. Like the fanart alone...

What are your favorite things about the ship?

I love how at the end of the day, both Geralt and Jaskier believe in the good of people. They both believe that at their core, if you give people a chance they can do good. And that's so beautiful. I also love how they contrast to each other in the sense of Jaskier's impulsivity and Geralt's hesitation. Not to say that Jaskier can't be hesitant or Geralt impulsive but when they are together they take on those roles more. I also appreciate how the two of them are in each other's lives but their lives don't evolve around each other. Like Jaskier teaches at Oxenfurt, Geralt goes to Kaer Morhen. And while the show is giving Jaskier more of a connection to Ciri, she is still Geralt's daughter, not Jaskier's. And I think that Jaskier put so much energy into creating this extroverted front, this role for the audience that he has difficulty knowing when to be really himself. And I think Geralt gives him that space. Like in S2 when Jaskier was telling Geralt his worries about Ciri and Yennefer, Geralt was actually listening. And in return, Geralt has someone who doesn't have these preconceived notions of him that he can get honest ideas out of.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Probably how I seen their relationship in the show. Like I said I am definitely way more chill about it now but there was a period of time when I just felt like season 1 unbalanced their relationship so much I had a hard time shipping it. Rewatching the show, I often felt like Jaskier gave so much energy which Geralt seemed to hate him at every turn. Because of the time jumps we never saw their relationship grow so it seemed like Geralt had known this guy for 20 years and still didn't want him around? And even though Geralt would sometimes give off micro-expressions of enjoyment we would analyze to high heaven, the majority of his words and actions degraded and disliked Jaskier. Their relationship felt transactional like Geralt was only putting up with him because he wanted a bard. And there were times when Jaskier seemed condescending and controlling. After season 2, I feel this a lot less now. Mostly because when they were together this past season, it felt more balanced. And Jaskier seemed to acknowledge this with Geralt too. Like I've had some intense fights with friends and a lot of times when there's so much other shit going on you just realize that you don't need a drawn out apology so much as an acknowledgement that you are moving forward together. This season made me feel more like their relationship is a choice, not fate alone and I liked that.

Geralt stared up at the ceiling, counting the cracks in the wall. The room stank of sweat and sex, and a warm spicy scent that wafted from the bard that was curled up on his chest. The night before had been possibly some of the best sex in his long life, but it had been tainted with the worry that it was the only chance he would get. Jaskier was still angry, and rightfully so, but it meant that Geralt wasn’t sure if this was the last time he would ever see his most loyal friend and companion. His fingers were softly trailing down Jaskier’s spine, painting flowers into the bard’s bare skin. Geralt couldn’t bear to watch Jaskier sleep. He was too beautiful, even covered in sweat, drooling over Geralt’s chest. Geralt just knew that if he looked then he would never be able to let Jaskier go.

And he couldn’t keep the bard if he didn’t want to stay.

“I can hear you thinking,” Jaskier mumbled, shifting on Geralt’s chest to press a kiss to the exposed skin. “It’s very distracting.”

Geralt huffed a laugh despite his growing anxiety. “Distracting you from sleep?”

“Mhmm.”

They laid like that for a few more moments, neither quite ready to face the day yet. Jaskier seemed to be trying to fall back asleep but after a couple of minutes he groaned and rolled onto his back. He pouted as he looked up at the ceiling, his hair a ruffled mess from where Geralt’s hands had run through it the night before, and there were dark bruises littered all over his neck, creeping down his chest where thick hair covered the pale skin. A stark reminder of Jaskier’s masculinity despite the way he preferred to present to the world.

Geralt swallowed as his cock began to make itself known. It could easily be excused as morning wood if Jaskier had decided that Geralt’s crimes were too dire to forgive, but he couldn’t help but hope.

“It appears that despite my best attempts, I am awake,” Jaskier grumbled, pushing his hands through his hair.

“Hmm,” Geralt agreed, waiting for Jaskier to pass judgement before he really spoke.

“So… witcher,” Jaskier breathed, his voice guarded and cool, making Geralt stiffen as he prepared for the worst. “I think we can both agree, that was a rather fantastic evening of carnal delights.”

“I meant it, Geralt. I want an apology, a real one, or forget it. I can find inspiration elsewhere, and well.. I- you probably weren’t my friend at all if you can’t see that what you did was wrong. I may be a bit of a prick sometimes, but I deserve better, Geralt.”

“I know,” Geralt whispered, wondering when the lost puppy that had followed him for so many years had grown up.

How had he never noticed?

“I’m sorry, Jaskier,” he breathed, struggling to find the words to explain just how sorry he was, but hoping that the bard would understand. “I- I was… I,” Geralt growled and covered his face with both hands, his beard scratching at his calloused skin.

The world felt like it was against him as he tried to gather his thoughts, but before he could, Jaskier’s hands were covering his, gently pulling them off his face. “Breathe, darling.”

“I’m sorry,” he mumbled. “I don’t have the words to put this right.”

“Then show me, dear heart.”

Geralt’s brow furrowed as he gazed up at the bard, shining cornflower blue eyes shimmering in the morning light, his fringe falling down to cover them. He looked beautiful. Geralt reached up to brushed the hair from Jaskier’s eyes but it didn’t work and they both chuckled as Jaskier huffed a breath to try and blow it out of the way. “How?”

“You can start by getting rid of that beard. You look very handsome but my arse itches like a bitch this morning,” Jaskier grumbled.

“You weren’t complaining last night,” Geralt teased.

“Well, I was hardly going to whine about it when you had your tongue up my arse!”

Just like that the ice seemed to have broken and Geralt smirked as he pulled Jaskier into a kiss; the taste was stale and unpleasant on Geralt’s tongue but he didn’t care, he was kissing Jaskier., The bard moaned softly into the kiss, shifting on the bed so that he was straddling Geralt’s hips. Jaskier’s fingers were splayed on Geralt's chest as he rolled his hips against Geralt’s erection, making them both gasp into the kiss. The heat from the night before was back, not blistering and blinding but a slow build of embers as they were once again lost in the taste of each other.

And Geralt felt… happy?

He couldn’t remember the last time he allowed himself to be happy. Perhaps at Kaer Morhen before he set out onto the path for the first time. Before he learned that witchers were no better than the monsters they hunted in the eyes of humanity. There had been some brief moments of happiness when he’d been beside Jaskier on the path, the quiet moments before they went to sleep but Geralt had always been plagued with guilt, worried that he would destroy the fragile being that trusted him.

Of course, his fears had become reality, but in spite of everything Jaskier was still here with him, his lips pressed against Geralt’s neck, hands carding through his hair. So, because of the unfamiliar lightness in his heart, Geralt decided to tease his friend, his love, his bard. He grinned as he captured Jaskier’s lips once more in a bruising kiss, fingers digging into the bard’s hips to hold him close, and then he rubbed his cheek against Jaskier’s.

“Oi!” Jaskier grumbled, sitting back on his heels and glaring down at Geralt.

“What?”

“That beard has got to go,” Jaskier muttered, rubbing at his cheek. “If you really want to do the whole ruggedly handsome thing, which by the way, I don’t hate, then I am showing you how to look after a beard. It’ll be as soft as a baby’s bottom.”

Geralt rolled his eyes. “Fine. I’ll shave.” Jaskier just grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “What?”

“Or…”

“Jaskier…”

The bard winked, his tongue flicking out to lick his lips in a way that really should be illegal. “If you trust me?”

“I do.”

“Then you’ll let me shave it off. I don’t have a razor but my daggers are plenty sharp enough?”

Geralt blinked, staring up at Jaskier as every single thought he’d ever had left his head. He was suddenly thrown back to the bard’s performance the night before. The way he’d moved, the touches to his skin, the frankly sinful way his body had looked in the corset and tights, an outfit better suited to a whore than a Viscount.

And his voice.

Dark, dangerous, calculating.

The same voice that usually held the warmth of the sun, turned to bitter poison as cold steel flashed in the candle light.

Geralt groaned, pressing his head into Jaskier’s shoulder, as the memory of the bard flipping the daggers in his hands with deadly precision, the edge of the blade glinting as he brushed it against his own neck. It was almost too much to handle, especially now that he’d had a taste of Jaskier, knew the filth the bard’s lips sang in the throes of passion.

“Oh, ho, ho!” Jaskier giggled, his fingers stroking through Geralt’s hair, sending a shiver down his spine. “You like that, don’t you witcher?”

“Shut up, Jaskier.”

“Oh no. No, no, no, I am loving this. I mean, I knew you enjoyed the show but I thought it was just the whole-” Jaskier cut himself off with a wave of his hands. “But it was more than that, wasn’t it, Geralt?”

Geralt was in no place to argue. His cock was impossibly hard and aching, trapped underneath his bard as he continued to roll his hips at a torturously slow pace. He was a disaster.

One day he was wishing that Jaskier would finally get bored and leave, and the next, Geralt knew he would defend the idiot with his life.

But now it seemed Jaskier could hold his own, and that was just fucking hot.

Geralt didn’t know what was happening to himself. Everything he thought he knew was turning on his head, and he was somewhat irrevocably in love with the bard, he’d barely admitted was his friend.

By the time Jaskier was done, the blade smoothly gliding across Geralt’s skin, a finer shave than any barber he’d been to in all his years.

“Geralt, dear heart?”

“Hmm…”

“There you are,” Jaskier cooed, cupping Geralt’s cheek in his hands until Geralt let his eyes flutter open.

Jaskier was gazing back at him, his eyes blown wide and his cheeks flushed. The scent of arousal in the air made Geralt’s head hazy with lust. Before he could even think about what he was doing, Geralt knocked the dagger from Jaskier’s hand, the steel clattering as it flew across the room and bounced on the floor. The bard opened his mouth to protest but Geralt had been aching and hard for too long, and he was desperate to get his mouth back on Jaskier’s skin.

With a yelp, Jaskier was pushed back onto the bed, whining as Geralt teased the tight rim of muscle. Despite their long night of sex, Geralt would need to stretch him again, and he couldn’t wait. He’d found great pleasure in taking apart his cocky arrogant bard with both his tongue and fingers the night before, and he knew he would quite happily spend a whole lifetime doing it again and again. There was no better music than the noises Jaskier made when Geralt had his tongue lapping at the bard’s hole.

Without warning, Jaskier lunged to the edge of the bed, distracting Geralt with the curve of his arse so he didn’t notice what Jaskier was grabbing at until it was too late. The dagger was at his throat forcing him back onto the mattress, the tip of the blade hooking underneath that wolf medallion.

“Gotcha,” Jaskier winked, knocking all the air from Geralt’s lungs in less than a heartbeat.

“Jask,” he breathed, his words slurred as he struggled to see through the fog of lust.

“If I forgive you, witcher, do you promise not to throw me away like that again?” the bard’s eyes burned, but Jaskier saw through the mask to the scared little boy, one so frightened of being abandoned.

“Never again,” he vowed. “I swear.”

Jaskier let out a soft sigh and the tension visibly melted away from his body. “Good enough for me.”

And then he pressed their bodies together once more in a burning kiss that would stay with Geralt for the rest of his life.

Here's mine!!

My three ships: I only really engage in SnowBaz fandom, so my other two picks were just kinda like things I think are cute/ would be into if I wasn't already obsessed.

Snowbaz - I mean, I'm hooked. There's just so much to take from the books and so many options to explore with these two. I've read so many AU's about these two that I believe they could live in any story you want. Or any song. OR movie. Or comic. They love each other so much too, but also there's such a range to their relationship that you can spend eons exploring the depths of their connection. So I think I like that. And the fact that they are so intertwined. I'm obsessed.

Monty and Percy- I love these two. Almost as much as SnowBaz. If I hadn't gotten into the SnowBaz fandom, Monty and Percy are where I would be putting all my time. They're the perfect combo of sweet and hilarious and they have so much adventure!! Can't get enough of these boys.

Geralt/Jaskier- so i keep seeing stuff pop up in my feed about these too, and honestly, I'm here for it. I think they would make a wonderful angry, loud and musical family someday. One can dream at least.

My first ship: i think consciously Marceline and Bubblegum from Adventure Time. I probably had others, but like I don't remember any of that nonsense. But Marcy and Bubblegum are the Simon and Baz of the Candy Kingdom in my opinion. And they deserve to be together. They so perfect together.

My last movie: Encanto ( for the second time) it's so good!! I will say though we were trying to get the toddler to watch Coco or How to train your dragon, but both were "terrifying" (her words not mine)

I'm currently reading:

We Contain Multitudes by Sara Hestra - I can't recommend this one enough. It's so sweet and so heartbreaking. I love the concept and if you listen to the audiobook like I am doing, it adds extra depth I think. But ya. I'm almost done, but not sure what to listen to next. I have a bunch of comics/graphic novels to read. looking forward to them, but audiobooks are just easier for me right now.

I'm currently watching: the Witcher

I'm currently consuming: Seaside Cider- Cherry Lane

I'm currently craving: Filhos ( Portuguese doughnuts) - made by mum. I had one the other night, and I just started thinking about it because of this question.

My favorite color: Blue! the deepest blue in the sky when it's sunny. And hot florescent pink ( like in riso prints... also that dark royal blue colour for riso)

Sweet, savory, or spicy: sweet- I am a notorious sweet fiend and it's a problem.

I'm working on: trying to finish my EGF fic Magically Required. I just posted Chapter 5 last night, Chapter 6 is written and waiting to be beta'd. I will say, for the next thing I write definitely going to try and have patience to get it beta'd first- i did i think the first chapters, but everything else has been ... raw? other that me rereading it a million times. Editing is part of me writing. I write until i get stuck then go back and edit until I can think of something new. but yes. Hopefully you all are enjoying it. I know I've been drawing it out ( bit nervous about the smut to come so ... avoidance )
