Authors note: might make a little continuation of this
"Scott, I can't magically make Stiles fall asleep", you said as you walked up to the front door of your best friend's house.
"He hasn't slept in three days", Scott said in a worried voice.
"I wouldn't be able to sleep if I were recently possessed by an evil spirit either", you retorted as you opened the door for Scott.
"That's not the point", Scott huffed in annoyance.
"Then what is it?", you questioned as you stepped into Stiles's house and took off your shoes.
Scott turned to look at you with an exasperated sigh. "You and Stiles have this connection; I don't know; I just think if you were to stay with him during the night, he might sleep", he explained
You stared at him blankly. You blinked a few times, needing time to fully process what your friend had just said. "You want me to have a sleepover with Stiles?"
"Yes! That would be perfect!", Scott said, his voice full of hope, and he clasped his hand on your shoulder. "Please", he pleaded.
"What are you guys doing here?", Stiles said, suddenly appearing from the kitchen, where he had just poured himself a bowl of extremely unhealthy cereal.
You pointed at Scott. " He broke into my room and dragged me here." You had no problem throwing Scott under the bus.
Stiles raised a brow, and he looked at Scott questioningly. "Yeah, but the door was locked. How did you get in?", he asked.
You shrugged your shoulders. "Your dad gave me a key to the house a long time ago", you answered, and you walked towards where Stiles was. You passed him and entered the kitchen, and you immediately went to the drawer where they kept all of their snacks.
Stiles nodded slowly, and he watched as you grabbed a bag of chips. He looked at Scott, who gave him a shrug, and then he looked back at you. "My dad gave you a key?", he asked.
You nodded your head, grabbed a handful of chips, and shoved them into your mouth. Once you had chewed and swallowed them, you said, "Yeah."
Scott cleared his throat as he took a step forward. "Well, anyway, we came here to check up on you", he said, and he gave Stiles a bittersweet smile.
Stiles just rolled his eyes in response, and he turned back and walked into the kitchen. He grabbed his bowl of cereal and sat down next to you at the dining table.
"I came here for snacks", you chimed in.
Stiles chuckled. "I feel so loved", he joked, and he shoved a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
"Hey, it's not my fault your dad buys the best snacks."
Scott rolled his eyes at his two best friends' banter, and he took a seat across from them. "Your dad said you haven't been sleeping,", Scott suddenly admitted.
A silence swept throughout the room. Stiles froze and tensed up as if he had just been caught doing something bad. "I've been sleeping." His voice wavered.
You stopped eating your chips, and you looked at Stiles in concern. "You've been having nightmares, haven't you?", you said in a soft voice.
Stiles let out a sigh, and he leaned back against the chair. He nodded. "Yeah, I have", he mumbled. He pushed his bowl of cereal away, suddenly not hungry anymore.
You frowned. "I'm sleeping over tonight", you stated.
Stiles head perked up, and he looked at you in surprise. "Wait, really?", he asked suddenly his whole demeanor lit up again.
You nodded your head, and you looked at him with a smile. "Yes"
Scott got up from where he sat. "Well, I have things to do, so, uh, I'm going to go, bye", he said, giving you two an awkward wave of goodbye, and then he was gone.
"Let me guess he bribed you into sleeping over with me."
"Yep"

Shook (2021)
I've just purchased a Shudder subscription for the first time, and so I decided to kick it off with a Shudder original, Shook (2021) I had the highest of hopes despite the reviews, because there's nothing I love more than watching a social media influencer get their shit rocked, but DANG. This movie dragged for the first bit, I got 30 minutes in before I literally had to start writing down my thoughts while trying not to fall asleep. First few shots, cool! Really cheesy, but cool. I like the stills of the girl with the heel through her face, original- and I will be making that into an art piece shortly.
Tumblr media
However, anything that's happened since the literal first frames has been so hard to pay attention to whatsoever. I guess the setup is that this killer has something against dogs, and so that's their main target, pet owners. We're watching the main character Mia home alone at her (bestfriends?) house dog sitting, we sit through multiple minutes of her scrolling her social media before she starts being harassed on the phone by our villain, Kellan (her boyfriend). This persons taunting her on the phone after stealing the dog, Chico. (If someone stole my big dumbass of a dog I'd be throwing hands instantly). After the premise of the film is introduced is where I had my first real problem with it, Mia calls the police because of the situation going on where she's met by an automated voice message saying: "Please stay on the line, you have reached the 911 call center, your call will be answered as soon as possible." THE 911 CALL CENTER? In what situation ever have you called an emergency line and been placed on hold? The literal only thing that could've improved this scene is if they'd given her some smooth jazz to listen to while she waited. Big scary phone boyfriend then tells her to hang up as soon as the police are finished jerking off, and then sets her up with a set of rules about not screaming or asking for help. He tells her that her dog sitting skills are subpar, and scolds her for her crippling millennial phone addiction. Then we're met with our first moral dilemma, who dies.. Lani or Chico? (Followed by this brilliant still)
Tumblr media
Personally, I'd pick Chico to live.
"It's a simple question, your sick sisters dog, or the girl trying to sleep with your boyfriend." OOHH GETTEM. She picks to kill Chico, which is absurd, but we'll move on.
Tumblr media
I can't contain myself when new age horror movies use phones as flashlights, this generation of horror movies has been replaced with an entirely new flavor of Idiocracy. (I'm hoping for the phone to die)
Now we're on to the next choice but our buddy Kellan gives her the chance to answer three questions, and if she gets them right- she doesn't have to make a choice and if not, somebody dies. Pretty fair! Off the bat, the first question is "what song has the rhythm for CPR" and Mia immediately tries to go to google on her presumably hacked phone, where the killers like "nuh-uh". (I guess no one is... Stayin' Alive) She then runs into the other room where she starts searching on her laptop, and the killer sends a video of her friend suffocating inside of a bag and hits her with Hey, CPR might help here. Lmao. What particularly stood out to me in this scene though, what I HAVE to mention is that not only does Mia not know this basic information, but she also does not known how to use a search engine. She didn't search, "What songs can you do CPR to?" she just searches "CPR" and is scrolling endlessly through multiple articles, that are of course not focused on what she's actually looking for.. before she finally finds it and yells out the answer in her final desperate seconds. The next question is "What temperature is considered a fever" and again, Mia is in desperation mode because she has no idea. My favorite part about this film so far is the killers absolute faith in Mia being an idiot. She desperately digs through her belongings in the bathroom before finding a thermometer and getting the answer last minute. The final question is where it gets interesting (Yippieee) "What were your mothers last words?" and GASP, how does my boyfriend know what they were?! Kellan teases at the fact that he was there to hear them, and I guess Mia wasn't around for the end of her mothers life. He then points out to her that for the last two weeks of her life, she was on a ventilator and unable to speak, so her final words would've been weeks prior, and Mia still didn't know. She's then forced to choose between her best friends, and one of them ends up dying. Lani then video calls her like "Hey girl omg we got you soooo good that was all a joke! We're all up in the attic, lol!" or some dialogue I really tried to listen to.. I guess Kellan was never the person on the other end of the phone it was Lani using a voice changer. What the fuck are these friends, Mia? Move on. This was all live streamed by "po$hgirLani" and as you can see, not for much:
Tumblr media
Who made this movie and how old are they?
Tumblr media
It is incredibly hard to keep up but after minutes of crying, she's on the phone with her sister, Nicole asks for pictures of Chico and then points out that she's watched the super successful live stream and is aware of ALLLLL the people in her house. Mia's pissed, because she should be, and demands the whereabouts of our little man Chico. Suddenly, the tone changes and all her friends on the phone are like hey get the fuck out of here and because of the prior gaslighting, Mia doesn't believe them even after this super cool visual scene we get
Tumblr media
Wow this is a cool thing to do artistically in your movie!
Tumblr media
Couldn't agree more.
And our super compelling plottwist... the bad friends were TOLD to do this to protect Mia from physical harm. (That's why Lani was taunting her happily and posting it on social media) Something splashes in the pool and we find ourselves with a Dead Lani, and honestly... I ain't mad. Round three commences, same rules as before. Mia grabs the knife to protect herself and starts hearing a voice (which I guess is just the texts read out loud) telling her to put the knife down and go into the living room. You see this voice as someone physically beside her, and then she discovers that the fire alarm has a camera they've been watching through. AND HOLY FUCK LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS
Tumblr media
AND TALK ABOUT THE ABSOLUTE WET NOISE THEY FELT THEY HAD TO ADD IN THIS SCENE.
Mia goes out to the living room where she finds a box of needles and is told to inject herself with all of them or Santi dies. (I really cannot keep up with these bitches, I'm sorry) Honestly though, this part felt unique and exciting, and credit where credit is due- this whole movies implied Mia's selfishness however she jammed them bitches right in there while the text timer counted down the SECONDS of the minute. She's running out of time and jams four of them into her leg at once and ADMITTEDLY I did a big cringe, this happens again with two more. Mia gets up and starts absolutely beating down the fucking door to get to Santi which is admirable after like 12 injections into her body.. then she finds all of her friends dead, I think? She gets a call from Jade who starts apologizing profusely and comes out with "Sorry, it was just a LOT of money." I guess Lani and Jade teamed up and got some serious bank off of psychologically abusing their friend Mia, but it's OKAY because they intended to share the money with her. I literally knew there was a reason I hated Lani this entire time even after it implied she was innocent, but to be fair Chico is probably the only character I like. Oh my god, it then shows a video of Lani being caught working at Whole Foods, and then depression crying because she likes to appear to have a lot of money and Nobody would follow a poor person.
Tumblr media
An actual photo of my face watching this
Mia is going through the dark on a search for our boy Kellan, using her phone flashlight... (the battery did not die :c) She finds a closet and opens it, while holding up her defensive manicure scissors and this lil guy pops out
Tumblr media
She moves on and finds a laptop with cameras on every part of the house, there she sees Nicole (her sister.. keep up) She calls her, I guess Nicole killed their mom (Just a fun little tidbit, it took me until this exact moment in the movie to realize they were sisters, because that's how little I could pay attention) because she was sick anyway. Nicole points out "Hey, you picked Lani over me." She tells her how it originally was supposed to be a game/joke but then she went through with it because lol fuck it, and how the moment she knew she couldn't trust her is when she lied about Chico.
Tumblr media
"Covering up for your friends... I couldn't take it." Okay, we get it Nicole.. We don't like Mia, she is a bad sister. Oh SHIT, the sister is sick too and is mad that she didn't care for both the mother and her despite Mia not even having the knowledge that her sister is sick. OK. Nicole says that Mia has to break her leg in 5 minutes or less or Jade dies, I admire Nicoles creativity with these scenarios. She is one of the more creative horror villains imo. Nicole goes on MORE about Mia's abandonment to the family, then the video cuts to her with Jade and she's giving her some little stabbies in the leg. I guess Nicole can teleport also because I don't know how she went from the foyer to the living room with a hostage, but I digress. Mia is in a desperate attempt to break her own leg, she's got a baseball bat wailing on it, while simultaneously texting an uber driver that showed up to leave so her sister doesn't kill her friends, but Big Mike is having none of it.
Tumblr media
oh boy
Tumblr media
She continues beating the shit out of herself until she breaks a leg successfully, and then Nicole is all like I said legs not leg lol fuckin' nerd. (or something like that) so done with all of this, Mia hurls herself over the stairs railing to finish the job.. Go Mia! She's crying and screaming big when Nicole comes in and reassures her that Jade is in fact not okay and she has entirely wasted her time. Nicole's upset that she'd make this sacrifice for her friends but not her sister, then lays on the ground with her to chitchat about all the dogs she's killed during this process. Wow, seems necessary. Nicole goes on about her physical issues and how Mia ain't gonna help when she can't wipe her own ass before she tells her that she's in for a murder/suicide and she's about to wipe em' both out. EZ GG. Our boy Chico barks suddenly at the same time someone shows up at the door, Nicole warns Mia not to move before she answers the door to a friendly neighbor returning the dog. She grabs Chico from the man and sets him down on the ground, where Chico immediately comes back proudly covered in Mia's blood with a pool of blood beneath him. Neighbors like okay this is fucking weird and becomes nervous before Nicole comes out with her flawless cover story "It isn't what it looks like, it's paint."
Tumblr media
Lord, please
When the neighbor starts asking how Mia's doing, they start mutually judging her dog sitting skills when Nicole tries to shut the door again and he stops it to ask to speak to Mia. Nicole makes the excuse that she's already left and he says "No she hasn't, her cars still here."
Tumblr media
It looks like it's all over for Nicole when the first person with a functional brain arrives.
"She's got a ride, she wasn't feeling well" Nicole says to the man who still obviously does not believe her before she loudly exclaims "For fuck sakes" and just shoots dude in the chest. Right on the doorstep. Leaves the evidence there and everything because she's got bigger things to do. Nicole then receives a text and call from an unknown number with the same voice changer she used, she calls it out (especially for being a $5 voice changer) as Mia and it instructs her to look at Mia's profile. Mia's live! Going on about how her sisters a big mean murderer, holding a knife to Chico as a threat to kill him. Boy Mia, this was thought out, wasn't it? Nicole walks into the kitchen to find Mia before it becomes a full on brawl live streamed to the randos on the internet.
Tumblr media
Nicoles winning because the advantage of her opponent having two broken legs, but eventually Mia comes in with a swift headbutt and claims the victory. Mia stands up on her broken legs (lol) with a walker, finds Chico and limps out the door to safety stepping over the dead neighbor. She trips, because what's a horror movie without a trip at a vital time?
Tumblr media
And there goes the most interesting character in the film
With three minutes to spare I'm wondering what the hell could be left for us to wrap this up, and so we get a scene of Mia crying on the cement before BIG MIKE (our Uber driver who has been camping out) calls from his car and says "You Mia?" "No." Honestly, my uber driver won't even wait a full minute to find me if I'm standing across the street, so we stand Big Mike.
Tumblr media
Nicole pops up for the final (but effective) cheap jumpscare to indicate the possibility of a sequel, and although I think the reviews are enough to prevent this, let me just say... Please, do not.
I'd give this a solid 6/10, and it is mainly because of Big Mike and Chico.

jun - party
word count : 1,029
-
"y/n! you're finally here!" hoshi ran up to you and almost tackled you to the ground with a hug right as you entered the house.
"hi soonyoung!" you greeted and hugged him back. "i brought more drinks, figured you guys would need it," you said, gesturing to the bags on the floor next to you.
"thanks! i'll bring them to the kitchen. go join the fun," he said to you, gesturing to the crowd of people dancing.
you immediately jumped in and started dancing with everyone.
"y/n! you're here!" someone slung their arm over your shoulders. you looked and saw jun, one of the guy who lived in the house the party was in.
"smile!" another person spoke and the light of a camera flashed.
"hey!" you yelled but ultimately laughed.
after a bit of dancing with some people you knew and some new friends, you went to the kitchen to take a break and to get a drink.
"yah, chan, is the air conditioner even on? it's like a sauna!" you spoke to the freshman, who was eating some food.
"if it wasn't, then it'd be like a volcano in here, noona," he said to you before he walked out the back door with some friends.
you made yourself a drink and leaned against one of the counters.
"y/n, wanna dance with me?" you looked as a drunk hoshi walked in and hugged you tightly, "you'll dance with me, right?"
how is he drunk already?
you placed your drink down while hugging him back, patting his back as well in order to comfort the tiger.
"i'll dance with you, i promise," you said to him.
as you continued to comfort him some more, minghao and jun walked into the kitchen. you looked at them and hoped that they would help you.
"hoshi, you need to stop drinking so much," minghao said and pulled hoshi off of you.
"but i wanna dance..."
"dance? more like sleep," jun spoke.
hoshi aggressively hugged you again despite minghao's efforts and hit your drink, making it spill over onto the counter.
"hey, soonyoung, you're gonna cause more chaos. let's get you upstairs," minghao said to hoshi.
"don't wanna," hoshi whined.
"that's it, you're going upstairs," minghao said and grabbed hoshi. he pulled him off of you before dragging him out of the kitchen.
"you okay?" jun laughed and grabbed some paper towels that were next to him.
"yea," you replied, "i can't believe he's already drunk," you mentioned and stepped away from the counter so jun could clean up what spilled.
"you know how he is," he laughed again, "he'll probably be back downstairs before midnight," he replied. "hey, your top got stained," he said and you looked down at your top, moving your arm to see a pink stain on your top. "you should change out of it, it could get stained," he suggested.
"yea, you're right. i'll be back," you sighed.
"wait," jun started and you looked at him, "i could throw your top in the washer right now, and you could wear one of my t-shirts if you want."
"are you sure? i don't want to trouble you. besides, this is a party, everyone's supposed to have fun, not do laundry," you said to him, but he shook his head.
"come on," jun said and grabbed your hand.
"jun, it's fine. my place isn't far away," you said to him.
"you are not wasting gas just to change a shirt," he said to you and proceeded to bring you upstairs into his and minghao's shared room. "let's see..." he said as he opened the closet, looking for a shirt for you.
you looked around the room, finding little knickknacks on jun's nightstand and noticing the two sides of the shared room. both sides had their own theme, but you could easily tell which side belonged to jun.
"here," jun spoke. you looked at him, and he threw a shirt at you. you caught it and looked at the shirt, it was a graphic tee with one of his favorite bands on it, "i'll wait outside," he said before walking out, closing the door behind him.
you changed into the t-shirt before leaving the room with your top in hand. then, you walked to jun, who was peeking his head in another room.
"hey," you called out to him and jun looked at you.
"hey," he smiled. he held his hand out and you handed him your top. "i'll throw this into the washer," he said before walking away.
you peeked your head into the room and saw minghao and their friend s.coups trying to hold hoshi back from doing anything stupid.
"go to sleep, soonyoung," s.coups practically demanded out of hoshi.
"hyung, i'm fine," hoshi said before moving his arms in the air. "y/n! is that jun's shirt? are you two dating?" he questioned, running over to you and hugging you, "am i gonna be the best man at the wedding?" he yelled.
"hoshi, stop bothering her," minghao sighed, "not again..." he said as he pulled him off of you again.
"what's going on?" you heard jun speak. you turned and saw him standing next to you.
"jun, you and y/n are gonna get married?" hoshi asked.
"i haven't even asked her out yet," jun spoke and you looked at him with widened eyes. "okay, hoshi, get some sleep. i'll be downstairs, guys," he said before pulling you out of the doorway, leaving s.coups and minghao to deal with hoshi.
"what'd you say?" you asked jun as he brought you to the staircase.
"let's just go downstairs and re-join the fun," he said, ignoring your question.
"jun, answer my question," you requested.
he stopped walking and looked at you. then, he sighed, "i was gonna ask you out later tonight," he mentioned, immediately becoming shy.
although shocked, you smiled and threw your arms around him.
"i'm guessing i won't need to ask you later, huh?" he asked.
you kissed his cheek, "does that answer your question?"
"if i say yes, do i get another kiss?" he replied and you kissed him again.

kiss me ! part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“hawaii!” niki yells, throwing as fist in the air as he enters the van “riki, it’s 3am in the morning, please shut up” jay retorts, going back to sleep as he leans on the window
as if it was almost planned, you and jake sat beside each other at the furthest seat. it was complicated, you didn’t know if you were comfortable or not, you felt tense, afraid of jake’s teasing if you touch him even the slightest. yet you also didn’t want to leave your seat.
you let out a huff, trying to find a position where you could comfortably sleep in. you were spooked at the sudden hand that leans your head on their shoulders “you can sleep on my shoulders, it’s alright” jake chuckles, already drifting to sleep the second after he did that “thanks” you mumble, easing into his warmth.
you laugh a little at his aching figure “this is funny to you? after i’ve been so kind to let you sleep on my shoulder?” he pouts “i deserve a long massage during our flight” he jokes, continuing to carry your bags.
dumbfounded by the fact that you stayed with him, giving him a glance filled with guilt “y/n seriously, i’m fine. it’ll go away sooner or later” he reassures you, his heart exploding at the sight of you with glimmering eyes, feeling the guilt you expressed them with.
“what do you wanna eat for breakfast?” you mumble, taking the luggage cart from his grasp. he laughs at your attempt to make him feel better “sorry? didnt quite hear that well” he teases, making you give him a glare, almost forgetting that he was ‘injured’ you raise your hand to almost give him a punch “good thing you’re hurting or i would’ve punched your ass back to australia” you roll your eyes “you heard what i said!” eyebrows frowning as you look away “alright alright, i’m fine with coffee really—” he lets out a breathy chuckle, dragging his feet as he follows you around “—nonsense! breakfast is important. don’t give me that type of bullshit sim” you cut him off, stopping by a little restaurant as you tell the other members to go ahead “im getting you pancakes. better finish it or you’re not living to see another day”
he laughs “this is quite a unique way to care for someone don’t you think” you roll your eyes "eat the damn pancakes sim jaeyun"
"yas ma'am"
--
after everyone had met up, you all started finding your seats. you were bewildered, somehow, because now you found yourself wanting to switch seats with sunghoon for obvious reasons. but of course, you --again, didn't have the guts to do so.
a few hours into the flight and a few glances from jake here and there, you received a message
jake :):
hey pretty girl, do me a favour and go to the washroom behind you
you:
and why exactly?
jake :):
no questions asked. i just miss you ;)
you swore you wanted to jump off the plane. pretty girl?! he misses me?!. you feel the heat creeping up in your face as you asked jungwon "hey, could you get up of a sec. i gotta go to the washroom" you whisper, mumbling a small 'thank you' before you walked to the washroom.
you felt a hand pull you "hey" he giggles, arms wrapped around your waist "you scared me! i thought i was getting abducted" you slap his shoulder. although you would be lying if you said you didn't want to just grab him and kiss him right at this moment.
he looked so good with his button up shirt, showing off his collar bones, neck wearing the beaded necklace you made for him during the summer and your birthstone necklace. his hair was messy, and you couldn't deny how hot he looked with his glasses on.
"you should consider buttoning up" you hesitantly say, looking anywhere but his eyes. of course he catches on to your intentions, but he felt like pissing you off "why? i'm showing off your necklace" he giggles "i even bought your birthstone" he grabs the necklace with his thumb, making you roll your eyes as you cross your arms, making sim jaeyun giggle.
he places his hand under your chin, finally letting you looking at him "switch seats with sunghoon please. i don't think i like the sight of you sleeping on jungwon's shoulders" now it was your time to piss him off.
"why?" you pout, "his shoulders are so comfortable, and we don't want your shoulders aching again now do we?" you give him a slight smile, well it wasn't like you weren't planning to switch with sunghoon way before the flight even started anyway.
jake rolls his eyes "that leaves you no choice--"
"can y'all hurry up? i'll switch with you y/n gosh! just let me pee!" sunghoon bangs on the door, making jake laugh "well that was easy"
--
oh how you regret changing seats.
because now you get to fully witness the flight attendants obviously flirting with him.
"good morning sir" she annoyingly giggles, biting her lip as she leans in way too close. jake leans back, letting out a small laugh out of politeness "hi, yeah i'd like..." he orders his food while you glare at the girl who's been displeasingly close to him "what can i get for you ma'am?"
"oh my girlfriend would like the same thing" jake interrupts, giving you a sly wink after placing his hand on top of yours. you let out a small scoff after seeing the disappointed look on the girl as she hands you the food. your skips a beat. girlfriend? you thought
now he was starting to piss you off. he was doing everything but ask you out. and with every ounce of pride you had in your soul, you hated to admit that you were starting to get really impatient. were you not obvious about your feelings? was the handmade necklace and the concern you have for him not obvious enough?
"ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Hawaii" the pilot announces, after you got your hand carry, you didn't even bother waiting for jake. immediately walking out of the plane, causing him to tilt his head out of confusion.
he didn't get a chance to talk to you, i mean, how could he when you would immediately start walking away from him whenever he tried to walk towards you.
as you sat beside jay in the tour bus, he gives you a weird look "why are you here" you give him a lost look "can i not...?" that's when he knew something happened between you and jake "y/n if this is because of jake--" you place your hand on his mouth, leaning way too close. but luck wasn't on your side today, because jake saw.
"shut up please! and yes! it is about him. so please spare me and let me sit here for the meantime" jay chuckles, "jake's going to kill me for this" he mumbles, leaning back to the chair "what?"
"nothing" he gives you a grin
--
after you guys arrived to jay's beach house you immediately grab your bag before jake could help you
"alright riki and sunoo are sharing a room, jungwon and heeseung are sharing, and...." jay looks at you, sunghoon and jake, not knowing what to do "you three figure it out. i'm just letting you know one gets to have their own room" jay starts to head to his own room, shrugging his shoulders as he walks past you with widened eyes.
"we already know what's about to happen. i'm getting my own room-"
"no!" you yell
"yes!" jake yells in unison,
"well......" sunghoon stood there, waiting for the both of you to talk "well, i just think i should get the room since you know-- i'm a girl and-- you and jake are best friends so you should be roommates" you explain, giving sunghoon an awkward smile "yeah sure whatever- ow!" jake hits sunghoon in the arm "you idiot! take the goddamn room!" jake grits through his teeth "you know what y/n! i change my mind. i uh, i think im going to take the room"
"why?!" you whisper with a harsh tone. poor sunghoon "IM GOING TO JERK OFF OR SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW" he yells, although he regrets it after the maids give him a weird look "ayo what?" heeseung peaks through the door "nothing! i didn't mean that. just --ugh! i'm heading out" he grabs his luggage, stomping through the hallways as he walks to the room. leaving you with jake.
--
you were about to have a mental breakdown "jay! you're seriously not helping me at all!" you give him a shove "ow! you need to control your strength sometimes! and i'm sorry okay? i just panicked, and i think you and jake being roommates wouldn't be a mistake. it's better to fix your problems instead of just sweeping it under the rug. you can't avoid him forever y/n" he was right. and you knew that. but you couldn't bring yourself to tell jake what was bothering you. even the thought of it was embarrassing, because what if he wasn't even intending to date you at all?
you walk back to the room, hesitating whether you should open it or not. but after hearing no noise, you open the door "AH OH MY GOD SORRY--" there you saw a shirtless jake, hair wet and his glasses having a few drops of water from his hair. he grabs your hand before you could walk out again "y/n, please talk to me" he places his hands on both sides of your shoulders "did i do something wrong? whatever it is, i'm really sorry" he panics, slightly pouting at the silent treatment you gave him "jake i-"
"dinners ready!" riki barges in, freezing at the sight of you two "oh- hey! riki, let's go!" you grab his arm, walking towards the dining room "please don't mention it" you whisper, sitting in between riki and jay.
jake later follows, now in his grey shirt and the checkered pajamas he wore earlier, he gives you a small smile before sitting next to heeseung.
"so, sunghoon. did you have fun?" heeseung teases
"shut up!"

"this wasn't going as planned anymore!" jake groans, he was currently in jay's room, ranting his frustrations out while jay listened. when jake had heard about the trip to hawaii, he originally planned to confess when you guys went to the party, it's not like the party had already happened, but it was already tomorrow "i already apologized, yet she still wouldn't speak"
"do you even know why she's mad?" jay asked, leaning on the bad with his arms as he watched jake pacing around his room "...no?"
"jake sim you idiot"
it was 1 am in the morning and you finally finished playing games with riki and heeseung. you were hesitating to open the door once again. afraid of letting the incident happen once more. you knock lightly, hoping that he was there and you could finally make up
but before you could open the door, jake already opened it. immediately embracing you "please talk to me" he whispers gently in your ear. you couldn't help but burst out crying, causing him to panic, he caresses your hair "let's go for a walk yeah?" he grabs your wrist, his touch so gentle as if you were fragile.
he wipes your tears as you walk along the shore "i missed you. you know?" he holds your hand as you both drag your feet along the sand. you hit him on his shoulder "ow!"
"that's what you get!" you sniffle, looking at the reflection of the moon on the sea "what did i do?" he chuckles, searching for your eyes. he tilts his head when you don't respond "hello?"
"cause! you always flirt with me, calling me your girlfriend and hugging me! i hate it! i hate it because my heart always skips a beat every time and i always expect you to ask me out soon yet you never do!" you yell, your skin was glowing under the moonlight. jake was in awe the moment he saw your glistening eyes that had tears threatening to fall.
he had the sudden urge to kiss you and tell you how he felt.
and he did. because jake was a man who never doubted his feelings when it came to you.
he pulls you by the waist, causing you to let out a yelp. his lips touches yours, and it stayed like that for a while, to make up for the moments he wasted without you this whole vacation. you wrap your hands around his neck, playing with his hair
"can i be your boyfriend?" he cheekily says, his smile making you smile as well "suck my ass. sim jaeyun. yes, i'd love for you to be my boyfriend"
"i'd gladly suck your a--"
"sim jaeyun!"
--
[bonus bcs i haven't posted in a while]
it was the morning of the party, you were in jake's arms "finally you're awake! good morning!" he excitedly says, peppering you with kisses "the guys are in the pool so get changed" he informs you, smacking your ass as soon as you got up "getting too comfortable for our first day aren't we?" you tilt your head, giving him a smirk "can't help it" he send a wink your way.
as soon as you got out in your swimsuit, jake's mouth drops "do a little turn for me" he smirks, twirling you around as he hypes you up "holy shit! i'm so lucky aren't i" he checks you out, earning a smack from you "ow! alright but i'm not letting them check you out like that! wear my shirt"
(he didn't let you go from the jacuzzi after heeseung hyped you up lol)
--
[party]
you told jake to go ahead, wanting to surprise him with the dress you bought.
after arriving to the party jake almost dropped the drink he had in his hand after he saw you. he was smiling so hard when the little girl put a Lei (flower neck lace) on you. he felt so proud when the other men at the party look at you giving him a hug
"that's right, she's mine" he thought
after you walked to wards him he grabs you by the waist "you look so pretty in red" he says, hugging you tightly "is that so?" you ask, giving him a chaste kiss on the lips, making him all giddy

Normal
Tumblr media
normal
normal
TW: depression, gender dun dUN DUN
word count: 2216
a/n: i’ve got a lot more gender neutral Spencer Reid fics loading :P
(Spencer's POV)
On a normal day, I would set my alarm for five in the morning and wake up slowly. I'd pour a cup of coffee and make myself some toast. I take a shower and brush my teeth and maybe listen to an audiobook on my way to work. I got this recommendation from Garcia, Ready Player One. I listened to the narrator's voice at a pace 'normal' people would read.
A part of me always felt self-conscious about myself, how I was different compared to everyone else. My mom called me special but that just made things worse. Special still sounds like there was something wrong with me. And that was just my I.Q, later on, I constantly got made fun of for the way I dressed, how I wasn't 'normal' enough. Never 'masculine' enough.
I haven't had a normal day in months. I started to wake up naturally around three am, if I ever slept. My thoughts kept me awake, thinking about the insults and taunts I got. I lay in bed most days. I told Hotch I was sick and stayed in a comatose state for most of the day. I would stare at the ceiling and wonder about myself.
I couldn't do anything. I couldn't eat, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't use the bathroom. The thought of having to stand up in front of the toilet. Washing my hands in a men's restroom, everything just made me sick. I hadn't gone to work in a week. It sounds odd but I didn't feel safe there. Work used to be where I could concentrate and use my abilities to my advantage, I watched and analyzed people's emotions for a living but now, it became so hard to think about myself.
I felt exposed in the workplace, at home I felt more comfortable using my own bathroom and I could wear my own clothes. I felt like someone else in the bullpen, someone different. Having to hear my name makes me feel imaginary. I didn't feel real in my body.
Getting out of bed this morning exhausted me. I dragged my feet across the wood and looked down at my sweater. The temperature in my house was always hot, something with the thermostat, but I couldn't stand looking at my own skin. I wore a thick sweater and a robe on top of it, long pajama pants and big socks. I knew I had to take off these clothes if I wanted to go to work today. I really did, I missed my friends, I missed having to do something.
Having a purpose meant a lot to me. I lost sight of what I was meant to do with my life, I would just mope around my apartment without doing anything and I still felt exhausted. I hated being here, I needed to do something. I couldn't just stay here for the rest of my life. I so desperately wanted my normal life again, but I couldn't even think about stepping outside my house.
I hate thinking about having to do normal things. I hated using public restrooms and wearing my normal clothes. Life becomes meaningless if you can't even look at yourself in the mirror.
A while back I put towels over all of my mirrors, this morning I lifted the one in my bedroom. I looked at myself for the first time in a long time. I looked at my eyes, the bags underneath them screamed tired and disgusting. My whole face looked blue and purple. I saw the veins in my neck, and when I touched them I winced.
Taking a deep breath, I started to remove the robe in front of me. I watched the fabric fall to the floor when I felt the ends of my sweater. A burst of energy filled my gut and flooded through my veins, causing me to haphazardly lift the shirt fully over my head and shimmied my pants off. I felt angry. Angry at myself for not being able to do the easiest things. And sad watching my body shake and my skin crawl.
I forced myself to stare at my chest. I stared long and hard at the flat shape and bare skin. I started to run my hand over my abdomen and I could feel my ribs protrude out of my skin. Tears started to fill my eyes when I glazed over my underwear. I could see the outline of my legs and the thought of what was between them made me sick. I felt like throwing up.
I rushed to the bathroom and clutched at the sides of the toilet. I quickly thought about all of the germs and bacteria and immediately lunged away from the seat. I washed my hands five or six times until my skin curled underneath the stream. I splashed the water on my face and began to sob. I ran my hands over my face and my eyes tinged from the tears.
When my hands roamed their way back to my chest I fell to the floor in a mixture of emotions. I felt depressed, gross, I felt cheated in my own flesh and blood. I felt contained to the bottom of my bathroom sink. The tears relaxed and I started to slowly lift myself off of the cold tile.
I wobbled back to my bedroom and tried to open my drawers. I reached for a dotted shirt and slowly buttoned the clothes on myself. With each button, I sniffed and let out a heavy sigh. I wanted to change my underwear but every time I slid my fingers past the waistband I cringed. I couldn't bring myself to look past my abdomen.
I just tried to pull on a pair of work pants without my eyes and slide a brown belt through the loops. I stared at myself in the dresser mirror and reached for another layer to put on over my body, a brown cardigan. I wanted to smile. I tried to force the corners of my lips to move upward but they only drooped a little lower. I swallowed my tongue and went to get my coat.
...
I walked into the lobby and saw people walking throughout the halls, I felt so out of place. I slowly slumped up to the elevator and pressed the button. It was halfway through the workday, a little after lunch. It was raining so hard outside I could hear it through the elevator walls, I heard the pat pat pat just outside the floors and I started to feel thirsty. I hadn't drunk much water in public because I didn't want to have to use a public bathroom. It wasn't a problem until one day I had to be sent to the emergency room.
I got nervous as the elevator doors began to open. I lifted my head and was relieved not to meet anyone as I stepped out. A sore feeling manifesting itself in my throat. I look up to see everyone in the conference room. I barely catch Rossi's eye when I start to walk up to the bullpen. Soon I can feel everyone's eyes on my back when I rest my bag on the edge of my seat.
J.J. walks out of the room to wave me over. I watch her walk back into the room, I look at her heels and her pretty blouse. I think back to what I'm wearing and feel gross. Why do I keep stressing about these sorts of things? Morgan doesn't worry about how he's dressed. Hotch doesn't care about shoes or what he has to wear. Rossi was the one who probably cared the most and even he didn't notice the things I do.
I rush up the stairs noticing how everyone is waiting on me. My pace slows down as I get closer and closer to the threshold of the conference room. "Hey, pretty boy's here!" I clench my jaw at the sound of that nickname. My stomach turns inside out and I think about just running out of the room and heading back home, or anywhere but here. "Why don't you sit down we were just starting." Garcia tries to talk to me in her sweet voice. I missed her so much, I missed everyone.
"No thank you," I whisper. I hadn't spoken words out loud in a long time. I don't talk to myself and I hadn't seen anyone else in days. I clear my throat gaining a sliver of strength from the anger in my gut. "No thank you I," I start stronger before pausing mournfully again, "I think I need to say a few things before I come back, officially. C- can you all please sit down." I choke in my breath and all of their faces turn worried when they look at me.
"Uhm, I know I haven't been here in a while but uhm," I turn my head to the floor, "I want to be able to come back, I do, and I uh," It gets really hard to talk without tearing up. I swallow hard when J.J tries to pat my arm, I don't mean to but I flinch and try to push her hand away. "I can't come back until," I'm afraid I'll start hyperventilating, "God I'm sorry." I move my hands up to my face and wipe away a few tears before swallowing and whispering again. "I can't come back until I figure out what's wrong with me."
"Kid there's nothing wrong with you-" "Yes there is! I- I- I can't sleep! I can't get dressed by myself! I can't even use the bathroom without feeling sick!" The words pool out of my mouth in a harsh tone and J.J. steps back when I flail my arms, "I can't look at myself in the mirror," Tears stream down my cheek when I turn my face around the room. "I need things to be different around here." Even Hotch's expression turns saddened and weak.
"I-" I choke and wipe my eyes with my sleeve. " I hate the name 'pretty boy'." I try to turn my eyes from Derek who's leaned over to see my expression, "I hate being referred to as 'Sir' or 'Mr.'" I bite my quivering top lip and draw my eyes back to the floor. "I hate hearing," I pause and clear my throat again thinking it would help stop my cracking voice, "he did this or it was him who," I sniff looking at Garcia whose eyes are also filled with tears.
"I'm not comfortable," I whisper and Emily gapes her mouth as if to say something then closes it rubbing her nose instead. "I haven't been comfortable for a long time. I don't know what I am anymore." The word 'what' sticks in the air for a minute before J.J. tries to pat my arm again and I let her. She eases in to hold me and I shut my eyes to stop sobbing.
"I- I- need," I start before shaking my head, "I'd like people to treat me differently." I furrow my brow thinking what to say next, "I looked online," I wipe my face again trying to slide J.J away from me, "and all the labels really scared me but uhm," I pause again "I think I'd like to try something I've been pushing down for a while." Rossi nods his head.
I feel awkward standing in front of all of these people, my friends. Years ago I could trust them with my life but now I felt so exposed and broken. I was scared of how they were going to react, I felt like screaming in my stance and running out of the room crying. I muttered out the first words before shaking my head and trying again. "I think," I clear my throat again, "I want to try different," I look at the group, averting my eyes off the floor while the edges of my lips curl into a saddened smile, before whispering the last word, "Pronouns."
I see Emily mutter a small "Oh," and Morgan's face turns confused. I slump into a hunched position and continue to cry softly when people start nodding their heads looking up at me. "Well," Hotch starts and people start to look at him. "I think that what you're asking for is," He pauses looking to the group then back at me.
"Perfectly reasonable and we will do or call you whatever you want" They all nod and mutter incoherent words. "Yes, yes of course we can." Garcia stammers wiping tears from her eyes looking at me from across the room. "What, uhm what would you like?" She asks rubbing her hands together, "To, you know," she shakes her hands before wiping more tears from her face.
I smile for the first time in weeks. It's not a toothy smile or a cheek to cheek grin but, it makes me feel safe knowing I can still do the things I used to. Come into work and smile. I catch my sighs and draw in a deep breath before looking at Garcia, "They/them." And the rest of the team smiles too.

Darling, you’re different
Woke up in the middle of night thinking about dabi as a plug yesterday, wrote a fanfic about it during my entire day at school
edit made by me : )
Tumblr media
Your usual plug wasn’t responding, using excuses to go pick up his kids or his baby mother was giving him a hard time. This was the time to be looking for a new plug for sure but how the fuck are you supposed to find one in the first place, camie was your best friend who smoked weed and was a blonde bimbo, she invited you over to smoke with her and offer you a new plug
“You made it! Come smoke a dub with me right quick then we’re gonna go meet him okay” she pulled you into her car
Camie was holding your hand walking through apartment complexs "your sure you know where this guy is?" " of course, he's been my plug for 3 years, he hot too" she stopped at a door and knocked "ever fucked him?" the door opened to a Raven haired man littered in tattoos, piercings ranging to black to silver, gray sweatpants hanging from his waist and a black T-shirt."You brought me a new client" she wasn't lying about him being hot.
His place was pretty tidy for a drug dealer "you can call me dabi by the way, camie gave you my number yet?" his eyes were like pools, you didn't have the guys to look him in the eyes "no" you said in a soft tone, he reached his hand "lemme see your phone for a second baby" you handed it to him "remember my apartment number is 306,don't forget because I'm only telling you once" "yes sir" he looked at you handing you back your phone "you don't have to hit me with that formal shit babe" "sorry, right" he chuckled walking to a hallway "camie come to the back with me" camie grabbed her bag walking to the back but she peaked her head out "I'll be right out, wait in the car for me".
"How long is it gonna take her to get some weed!" after that you heard a knock to the window "what the fuck!" dabi waved with a shit eating smile "fuck you!" ,you saw camie unlock the doors as she she was limping over "scoot over" dabi picked you by your waist and got in the passenger seat "dabi, what the hell are you doing" " what does it look like, gotta go to work" "yeah I see that but not with me on top of you, we might get pulled over" he slapped your shoulders pulling you back on his chest" not if you sit up like that, just enjoy the car ride for a few" you tried to get out of his arms but he was way stronger than you thought "come on camie back me up!" she put the keys in the ignition "he job is right around the corner (name) , trust me you'll be fine" you just relaxed in his hold. "Why are you so warm"
You shuffled neck to side of his shoulder "hot box" he didn't really smell like weed, more like ashes and feminine perfume "you smell weird" he bit your earlobe "pretty rude for someone who couldn't even look me in the eyes" you felt embarrassed, you just stayed quiet the entire time.
"See you next time,Blondie and you again?" you tried to ignore him but you spit out "(name)" he pulled your ear "how about sugar tits since you have-" "hell no!" camie leaned forward waving "bye dabi!" he stuck his tongue out, he had three piercings going in a straight line"you like what you see" you smiled rolling up your window "no".
"Hey you ever get the weed?" camie turned to you "of course but I didn't come for just the weed" she winked at you, you connected the dots in your head "you pay him with sex!?" "hear me out, free weed, good dick, hot boy blows my back out what's not to like?" you just rolled your eyes at her"let's just spark up before you go home"
-Next day-
Camie was too busy hungover from all the alcohol she decided to drink when she got home so you just did this on your own, can't be that hard can it?
____
You : hey
Dabi: what is it sugar tits
You : how much for a gram and stop calling me that
Dabi: A 20 and no ;)
You: fine,I'll be over
____
You knocked on the door twice, before you could pull out your money he dragged you inside "the hell?" catching yourself from stumbling over the mat "I was in the middle of rolling up" he was naked and wet, you could see his tattoos covered in certain areas, his stomach, his v-line,even his legs, only thing covering him was a black towel "put some clothes on first" "last time I checked it's my house so walking around naked shouldn't be your little concern babe" you were always annoyed by this asshole, how can camie do it. You looked in your bag twice, still couldn't see it, dumped out all belongings, nowhere to be found "where's the money?" dabi spoke walking in with some jeans on but still shirtless also he was holding a plastic wrap bag of weed, you let out a soft breath of air "I lost my wallet" he just stared at with bored eyes before busting out laughing "your being dead serious aren't you!" he rubbed his hand through his hair "look I'm sorry for wasting your time dabi, can I just pay you back next time " he shook his head throwing you the bag of weed "this is on the house except for one favor" "I'm not fucking you" the expression painted on your face let you knew exactly what he wanted "damn your good at reading people or what" "camie told me she pays you with sex so she can get free weed, don't lie either she was limping when she walked out your apartment" he smiled leaning against the wall next to the hallway "how do you expect to get it free then? Paying for it tomorrow isn't gonna cover how much I put in the bag for you sugar tits" she he was right this was way more than a gram" so what's it gonna be, you leaving empty handed or limping with weed in hand".
You heard a lighter flash on and off "you on a pill or something because I don't like pulling out" he was sitting on the couch smoking the blunt he just rolled a couple minutes ago "yeah,I have some at my house" he started unzipping his pants "come here" you walked off undressing yourself but keeping your shirt on "it's you hiding your tits for me" he pats his thigh signalling you to sit on his lap. "Open" "what?" "your mouth sugar tits" you slowly opened your mouth, he took two fingers shoving them down your throat "your not wet enough for me"he finally took his fingers out of your mouth "why do you say that.." "I'm to big and definitely haven't been stretched out, piercings might rip a new hole in you" piercings? He reached down taking off your panties in one tug,he turned you facing his wall with you against his back "what your last dude's dick size" that is really personal "A 6 I think" he opened your folds looking at some slickness beginning to gather "did he make you cum?" "no" he showed you a bright grin, placing a thumb on your clit, rubbing circles into it "a clit piercing would look good on you" he left a kiss on your cheek. "Your ready" dabi turned you back around facing him,"hold this for me baby" he pushed his blunt between your lips, he pulled his pants down by his ankles, there was ball piercings going down his length.
You held on to his shoulder for comfort, your walls weren't used to this feeling however dabi wasn't moving, too busy taking small puffs from his blunt with his head leaned back into the sofa "your a great cockwarmer sugar tits" he lifted his head back up "ever shotgun?" "No?" he grabbed you by your shirt pulling you into a kiss, you inhaled the smoke up your nostrils "your a good kisser" dabi gripped your ass, the friction of the piercings against your walls had you clenching down every thrust, dabi had no true goal besides aiming for that special spot, this position at any rate wasn't gonna him nowhere close though. In the meantime you were leaving small moans here and there, you didn't wanna give dabi that satisfaction of making you cum so easily, suddenly dabi got up off the couch immediately turning toward the couch, you could feel his cock poking your ass, eventually he pulled both your arms, sinking back into your velvet walls.
Dabi forced your face into the plushy part of the leather couch, although you promised yourself to contain your moans, dabi was ruthlessly rutting himself into you,he was progressively becoming more rough with his thrusts, your eyesight became dark blurs, you knew were close to cumming.
There was a sharp pain on your shoulder, you looked over to find dabi biting down on you, you felt his thumb rub against your clit, afterward that was the last push to send you overboard. Dabi came after you
You lazily slouched down, coming from your high, dabi left hickies on your neck to your shoulders before calling out "Wanna spark up before round 2"
Thank you for reading :) - I don't know what came over me for writing this to be honest . Though him progressively becoming an asshole was my main goal at some point. Follow me for more❤️

“Take my hand
Take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you”
For brettsey 🥰
She should have seen it coming.
It isn’t a huge conversation, really. She’s sitting on a fancy chair in a fancy restaurant for what is supposed to be a nice night out for her and Matt. It’s a beautiful restaurant with dim lights that just nail the whole romantic ambiance. But then, she gets a Facebook notification while they’re waiting for their food and sees Hope’s recent wedding photos to some random guy from Fowlerton, sending her shamefully stalking her Facebook page. It’s not like she had specifically planned to bring it up with him, but just. Ugh. Hope sure does bring out the worst in her.
“Ugh, look at her stupid pretty flowers, and her stupid perfect dress,” she pouts while they sit at their table “Who has roses at their wedding anyway? Rich people, that’s who. My wedding is going to be strictly orchids.”
“Wedding?” His eyebrows raise at his question.
She backtracks as fast as she can. “Oh, I- hypothetically, I mean.”
He nods slowly, the awkwardness creeping up on them.
“I’m sorry,” she knows she should stop herself, but she can’t help it as she asks, “do you, uh… do you not want to get married?”
“Me? Uh- I mean… Well, we both have had pretty awful experiences with engagements and marriage. So… It just didn’t cross my mind.”
“Really?”
“... Nope.” She can’t tell if he’s imagining it but she swears something in his voice is off.
“Oh… ok,” she nods, blinking back tears and just. She can’t believe what she’s hearing. “I just, uh. We’ve been dating three years now and I figured it was going somewhere. I guess I was wrong.” She can’t stop the tears from trickling off her cheek as she gets up from their table and grabs her coat.
“Sylvie, wait,” she hears Matt plead as she grabs her coat and dashes. Her heart stings as she leaves the restaurant, the tears blurring her eyes as she fumbles for her keys in her purse. When she gets home, she orders a deep-dish pizza, still hungry after missing out on the food from the restaurant, and passes out on her couch almost immediately after two slices.
The next morning, she wakes up to two missed calls from Matt. She grunts and puts her phone on silent, getting up from the couch to get breakfast. The only food she has in her fridge that isn’t rotten or expired is the cold, leftover cheese pizza from the night before, so she takes a slice for breakfast and prepares herself for a marathon of Property Brothers. Her relationship with Matt might be slowly crumbling before her eyes but hey, the Scott brothers can be the reliable men in her life from now on, right?
Her phone keeps lighting up throughout the day with missed calls and texts from Matt. She doesn’t want to hear it. Not yet, at least. Working things out, if even possible, will take hard work and time, and she’s not ready for that yet. Hell, she doesn’t even know if working it out is possible. She’s got a lot of thinking to do and no willpower to do it.
Two more days pass before her next shift. The second day, Stella and Mackey come over, yanking her off of her couch where she’s been sleeping for the past two days. She had tried to go up to her bedroom the first night but was too upset by the framed pictures on her nightstand of her and Matt. Their trip to Cabo, their first date, the time they went to a carnival. The memories make her head hurt with messy confusion and heartache, so she sleeps on her couch.
Stella and Mackey drag her to a girl’s day out. They get their nails done and go out for lunch, but Sylvie can tell she’s being a drag when she keeps groaning at her phone.
“Girl, he’s been calling you all day,” Stella pouts in sympathy for her best friend.
“Ugh, I know. I miss him,” she groans. “But this is just too hard. He basically said he didn’t want to get married! I mean, I know we both haven’t necessarily had the best luck in that department but… I thought we were heading somewhere, you know?”
“I’m so sorry, Sylvie,” Mackey sighs, rubbing her shoulder tenderly. “You guys will get through this rough patch.”
Sylvie nods in an attempt to muster up some hope but is unsuccessful. She hadn’t even realized how badly she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Matt Casey until he had told her he hadn’t thought about it.
They pay for lunch an hour later, and Sylvie leaves feeling only slightly less shitty than she was when she first left the house.
The morning of her shift after the fight, she’s still asleep on her couch when she gets a knock on her door. She figures it’s Casey, as he normally drives her to work on their shifts together.
“Look, Matt, I know I haven’t responded to your calls in a few days but I really don’t—” She starts to call out to Matt as she pulls herself off the couch and stumbles on the way to the door. She opens the door though, and her prepared speech about needing more time and space is cut short when she sees Severide leaning against the doorway instead of Matt.
“You look awful,” he kids.
“Thanks,” she rolls her eyes. “What are you doing here?”
“Get dressed. I’m here to take you to work,” he shrugs and invites himself in.
“I thought Stella was doing that.”
“Nope. It’s me today. Special occasion.”
“What special occasion is this, exactly?”
“You’ll see when we get to work. I’m under strict orders not to say anything until we get there.”
Sylvie hesitates for a moment. The chances of this not involving Casey are slim. Whatever brought about this weird turn of events feels important, but it makes her reluctant to give in. “If this has anything to do with Matt and what happened last time we spoke—”
“No! No,” he frantically exclaims, “Nothing to do with that. Just- come on, let’s go. We’re going to be late.”
She runs into her room and throws on jeans and a t-shirt. It’s not the nicest outfit she owns but she’s going to get changed there anyways, so she grabs her bag and hops into Severide’s car.
“You know, Matt loves you. A lot,” he comments as they park outside of the firehouse and jump out of the car. They had been silent the whole car ride and Sylvie’s about 100 steps away from the firehouse as he says it. “I’m sure his priorities are more similar to yours than you think they are.”
“I doubt that but it’s fine,” she grumbles.
They walk in through the apron and into the firehouse through the doors leading to the common room. Except as Sylvie walks alongside Severide, she notices that the lights are dimmer than usual. “Are you sure about that?” He retorts as they reach the entrance to the common room and find out why.
Standing at the kitchen counter facing the entrance is Matt, surrounded by rose petals and lit candles as a soft, familiar Elvis ballad plays in the background on a radio. People are watching from the entrance in adoration, giving her encouraging nods and smiles. The scene is overwhelming and makes Sylvie tear up a bit as her bag falls off her shoulder and onto the ground.
“I wanted it to be a surprise.” Matt’s voice is low and sweet as he smiles nervously at her.
“Oh my god… did you do all of this,” she asks in a whisper, her breath watery and shaky with emotion. She’s absolutely speechless. And very underdressed.
“This was supposed to happen after our dinner the other night. It took a lot of convincing for the Chief to let me light these candles in here, what with the fire hazards and all, but he made an exception for an important cause.” She meets him halfway between the entrance and the kitchen, her heart feeling a pull towards him that’s almost magnetic. Severide and the rest of the firehouse are shuffling closer to the entrance as they watch the scene from afar.
“The cause?” She knows the cause. Knows what’s coming next. She just wants to hear him say it, she needs to hear him say it.
“Yeah.” Matt takes a deep breath in and exhales shakily before continuing. “I am so sorry, Sylvie.” Her heart is fluttering fast like a hummingbird as he takes her shaking hands in his own, his skin warm and soft to the touch. “I had this all planned out. I thought…” He starts to tear up and it makes the tears fall down Sylvie’s face even quicker as he powers through, his voice shaky and his eyes glossed with tears, “I thought that it mattered… where and when I would propose to you. I got so caught up in making everything perfect… that I nearly ruined everything. But you… you make me happier than I ever thought I could be. And, if you’ll let me, I want to spend the rest of my life doing the same. So,” he pauses as he gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring from his pocket.
“Oh my god,” she blurts. She’s a blubbering mess by now and she feels her knees give out as she lowers to the ground to meet Matt’s eyes.
The laugh he lets out is watery and shaky, and his hands fumble as he shows her the ring. “Sylvie Brett… will you marry me?”
She doesn’t believe it. She thinks she must be having some weird fever dream because this moment is so perfect and happy that it just can’t be true… but it is. It’s true, and she’s smiling like an idiot as she whispers her answer. “Yes.”
“Yes?” His wide, goofy grin matches hers.
“Yes!” She repeats it louder this time, letting him slip the ring on her finger. They both stand up as he leans in and kisses her. It’s soft and sloppy and his lips taste like tears, but it’s perfect.
Their kiss is interrupted by a roar of cheers and clapping. The whole firehouse, still watching intently, comes barrelling into the common room to congratulate them with hugs and cheers and pats on the back. They smile and accept the giant group hug from their group of friends. Even Boden comes over and hugs them, tells them he’s proud of them both before going to blow out all of the candles.
“Ahhhh!” Mackey and Stella both squeal and pull her in for a group hug. She feels bad for soaking their shirts with tears but they don’t notice as they jump up and down.
“Girl we were practically dying the other day trying to keep his secret,” Stella huffs dramatically and whacks Casey on the shoulder.
“Wait, you guys knew?”
“We’ve known for weeks, girl! We all have,” Mackey gestures to the whole firehouse and Sylvie just. Her heart feels like it’s pouring out of her eyes in the form of tears. It’s so overwhelming and beautiful and just… perfect.
Sylvie laughs, burying her head into Matt’s chest before looking back up to him. She kisses him again, this time slower and deeper, before saying the words that have turned into an instinct for her over the last three years. The words that she has to say because no other words are perfect enough. “I love you.”
Then, he smiles at her and the words come naturally to him after he kisses her forehead.
“I love you too.”

My 5 best of 2020 (in 2021 😂)
1. A summer day ☀
"Well, Baz! Do you want to move?" Penelope yelled, already in the car (a certain MG dated 1967).
Simon studied his own reflection in the rearview mirror, running a hand through his bronze curly tuft and resulting in even more messiness.
"A minute!" was the answer from a few floors above the apartment.
Penelope rolled her eyes and picked up her Iphone.
Shortly after, hurried footsteps were heard coming down the stairs and Baz, after closing the door, got into the car.
Simon leaned out of the back seat and kissed him on the cheek.
He smiled and, starting the engine, exclaimed:
"Destination: fun!"
Later there were four of them getting out of the car: Baz with a beach umbrella over his shoulder, Simon struggling with a giant inflatable pink flamingo, Penelope with a cooler bag, and Agatha with another bag, containing beach towels and sunscreen.
"The weather forecasts were right; today’s a perfect day for the sea," Penelope commented as she slipped off her flip-flops and dropped her bag into the sand.
"Edward shines like a fairy!" Simon yelled, putting on a pair of sunglasses and pointing to Baz.
"Stop it, Snow," he laughed, "and give me my glasses back; all this sunshine stuns me."
Trying to ignore them, Agatha took off her cover-up and began to rub off the protection angrily.
"Whoever dives himself last is a pixie!" Simon yelled, throwing his t-shirt and starting to run towards the sea with Penelope at his heels.
Several splashes and laughter later, the two returned wet, smiling and hungry.
Meanwhile, Baz and Agatha had dedicated themselves to crossword puzzles and to the horoscope.
"Agatha, there must be some butter and turkey sandwiches in the cooler," Penelope said as she wrapped herself in her towel.
"I couldn't find anything better for you than beef carpaccio," she said to Baz.
He smiled making 'OK' with both thumbs.
"And for me?" Agatha asked, offended that her friend hadn't thought of her too.
"Fruit salad" she replied. "I know you're on a vegetarian diet."
Agatha blushed feeling a little guilty and muttered something like "Oh, thank you".
Everyone literally devoured their lunch, because, as Simon ruled on his fifth butter sandwich, "The sea makes you hungry."
They gossiped a bit about their old classmates, wondering if Gareth still had his belt buckle as a wand and if Trixie had a fight with his girlfriend.
They lost track of time after falling asleep in the early afternoon sun.
It was the sound of a notification that woke Agatha, who, after seeing her mother's message ('Where are you? Coven party tonight!'), made a shrill sound that woke the others too.
"Damn, I'm in mega-delay!" she complained, sitting up and hastily gathering his things.
Seeing her so agitated, no one dared contradict her and they hurried too.
Before leaving for the return, all already in the car, Simon took out a Polaroid from the trunk (not an easy feat, given the bulky mass of the flamingo) and urged them:
"Wait! Say 'cheese'!"
Everyone posed, waiting for the flash.
Once the picture was taken, Simon reached for the film that had just come out of the instant camera, but found himself clutching a slice of Emmental in his fingers.
Baz couldn't help himself and laughed uncontrollably.
"Tyrannus Basilton Grimm-Pitch!" Simon bursted, but he couldn't bear a grudge and joined in the general laughter.

2. Shopping (Big & Little) 🥄
"They'll be emptying the mall, those two" Agatha commented, looking at the clock on the kitchen wall and adding another egg to the bowl.
"Probably" replied Penelope, who was handling the curry risotto.
"They've been away for three hours!" Agatha insisted, "and with two credit cards!".
Penelope gave her a look like 'what can we do?' and again consulted the handwritten note attached to the refrigerator with a magnet (shaped like a scone).
"Oh, I forgot the onion!" she moaned after a quick glance, "my mother would kill me if she knew!".
She went back to the stove and for a few minutes they remained silent, one intent on vigorously banging the whips, the other busy slicing the bulb.
Once Agatha had baked the chocolate cake (wiping a non-existent sweat with her glove) and Penelope had remedied her mistake, the girls dropped onto the sofa.
They were just debating which movie to watch that night when they heard the key turn in the lock and Simon exclaim from the entrance:
"We’re at home!"
The two joined them in the living room and Baz asked:
"Curry and chocolate?"
Penelope nodded.
"Sometimes I wish I was a vampire; just smell a dish to understand if the doses are right or wrong," she sighed.
"Shopping?" Agatha asked, looking at the numerous envelopes they both had in their hands and casting a reproachful look at Simon.
"There were the sales" he tried to justify himself, shrugging his shoulders.
"Hurry up; you’ll show us your spoils of war after dinner" Penelope ordered.
"What do you think?" Simon began, smugly showing a set of jeans for Baz and a giant jar of sour cherries scones.
Penelope seemed to try not to roll her eyes.
"I stayed on the intellectual side" Baz said, pulling a stack of books and a pack of pastel highlighters out of a bag.
"I need them for the college" he explained to Agatha, who was trying to get hold of the markers.
"And you haven't seen the piece of resistence!" Simon shrieked, grabbing a smiling Baz by the wrist and dragging him into the nearest room.
They came out moments later walking backwards (in what was supposed to be an imitation of Michael Jackson's moonwalk), so they could only see their backs.
"3, 2, 1 ..." Baz counted.
"Ta daaaan!" Simon exclaimed as they turned at the same time.
They wore matching gray sweatshirts; both had a black molded spoon.
'Big' was written on Baz's, while Simon's 'Little'.
"Awww" the girls screamed in unison, in the grip of a fangirl attack (which managed to make Agatha look adoring too).
"We have a pair for you too" Baz said, handing Penelope a black t-shirt with 'Brownie' on it, while Simon gave Agatha a white one with 'Blondie' on it.
"Thanks, guys" Penelope murmured moved and Agatha initiated a group hug.

4. Ops! 🧴
Simon knocked for the tenth time on the bathroom door:
"Occupied!" Baz yelled for the tenth time.
"And sorry, but I can't hold it anymore anymore ..."
Simon abruptly released the handle, abandoning his irritated tone.
He let out a cry, muffled by the hands that he immediately brought to his mouth.
Baz was shirtless in front of the mirror, glaring at his own reflection.
Everything was perfectly normal, except for his hair: it had turned from raven to red.
Fawn red.
"If you tell anyone about this, Snow, I will end you" he growled menacingly.
Simon stood there, speechless. When he had regained the use of his mouth, he barely stifled a laugh and intoned:
“Weasley is our king
he always lets the Quaffle in ... "
From Baz's look, he knew it would be wiser to stop, so he did it.
He approached cautiously and asked gently:
"What happened to you?".
"I wish I knew; I was taking a normal shampoo shower" sighed Baz.
Meanwhile Simon had reached the sink and was looking closely at the bottle of the citron and bergamot scented blend.
"It doesn't seem to have anything strange" he then ruled, placing it back on the shelf.
"Indeed; I went to get it from my home in Hampshire; Daphne can only find it in our town's herbalist's shop," Baz replied sadly.
"I really can't explain it" he went on, unable to get over it.
"My sister gave it to me ..." he stopped suddenly.
He clapped her forehead and turned on the lock screen of his smartphone.
"Today is April 1st," he murmured.
He took the vial in one hand and, with the ivory wand in the other, exclaimed:
"Show me your secrets!".
The writing on the label changed from 'Shampoo with citrus notes' to 'Permanent color intense red'.
"MORDELIAAAAA!" he screamed as Simon rolled with laughter.
"April Fool!" he managed to exclaim between a laugh and another.

5. Trick or treat? 👻
"Well, Baz! If you don't move, we'll only have the sub-brand candy left!" Simon railed.
With all the peace of mind he could, Baz went down the stairs and joined his screaming boyfriend, who was immediately silent at his sight.
"Morgana, Basilton; you really mean it" Penelope commented, watching him as she lit another candle to put in the Jack o 'lanterns carved by Simon and Baz (which occupied all the flat surfaces of the apartment).
"I've been doing some accurate researches over the last week" he began, making a theatrical gesture in his vampire cloak.
"You even have the same jacket as Gary Oldman" she observed excitedly.
He, in response, gave her a perfidious look, baring his fangs.
Simon was still in his silence and couldn't take his eyes off him.
"What's up Snow, the cat got your tongue?" Baz asked, amused.
He answered with a tongue sticking out and approached him with a raised eyebrow (in perfect Baz style).
"Wow" he commented after kissing him on the cheek.
"Enjoy yourselves!" Penelope exclaimed as they came out hand in hand.
"Where do we go now?" Baz asked.
Simon moved with great ease between one bell and another, meticulously illustrating the specialties offered by each house.
His phrases were: "Here you can always find top quality stuff", or "No, better to avoid an indigestion".
After scouring all the houses on the first five blocks, Simon had an epiphany.
"For a thousand snakes! Baz, we absolutely have to go to the 'Spooky night' party!" he screamed, making him jump.
"Crowley, Snow! Calm down!" he retorted irritably, adjusting the cuffs of his shirt.
"You don't understand," Simon insisted.
"Our loot is loser when compared to everything you can find there; Strawberry Blood Drip, Every Flavour Beans, Pumpkin PIE, Butterbeer and, hold on ... Oreo with Orange Cream!"
Baz, seeing him so excited ('like a child', he thought), couldn’t say no to him (although he wanted to go home more than anything else; his feet protested against Count Dracula's boots).
"And where would it be?" he asked, trying not to smile.
"A couple of blocks from here; hurry up!" Simon urged him, taking him by the hand and starting to run.
"A delusion!" Simon snapped, leaving the bag full of sweets on the doormat.
"What happened?" Penelope asked Baz, who had just closed the door behind him and limped desperately as he headed for the sofa.
"In short at that damn party they had finished everything and told us our costumes sucked" he explained.
Simon was with his arms folded, all sulking, sitting in the armchair.
"Look at their costumes! And let me have something to eat, rather!" he barked.
Penelope approached him and, looking at him tenderly, reassured him:
"We always have our repertoire of horror films."
Simon shrugged, hitting the nearby lamp.
"And I was prepared for any eventuality," she went on, snapping her fingers and popping up a pack of Oreos with orange cream.
Simon's face cleared, illuminated by a huge grin.

Why Can't We Be Friends
Category: Stranger Things Characters: Max Mayfield; Eleven; The Party Rating: G Word Count: 2767 Summary: Max just wants to be friends with El; El just wants candy.
Tagging: @strange-thangs as I always do.
“Take that you stupid troll,” Dustin yelled as the dice flipped to the numbers everyone in the circle was impatiently waiting on the edges of their seat to see.
Cheers went up around the table and they all clapped, another phase of the campaign successfully passed.
“Bathroom break!” Lucas called over the noises of celebration. Dustin was now up out of his seat and dancing while Mike and Will talked in excited tones about how awesome everything had gone. They couldn’t have planned it any better. El was sitting next to Mike, holding his hand under the table - which everyone felt was way too easy to make fun of so no one said anything - and watched Dustin’s dance moves get wilder by the second with a wide grin on her face.
For a whole year she had wished and dreamed of doing this exact thing; hanging out with all of her friends and laughing instead of fighting and trying to save the world for once. Now that she was actually getting to live the experience, nothing could dampen her mood. Except maybe the red headed girl sitting across from her, who was throwing popcorn at Dustin.
“Ow, stop! That one got me in the eye!” He moaned, holding a hand to the offended eye and taking his seat next to her.
“Well, anything to stop that awful dancing,” she laughed.
El did not like Max. Ever since she had seen her that day in the gym with Mike - queue the reflexive hand squeeze which he returned with a small smile at her - she was in constant fear that she would be kicked out, replaced. She knew that none of it made sense and that with the way Mike was always looking at her, he would never let that happen, but when him and Max had been laughing together it had made her feel as if they didn’t need her, they could always find someone else. And it was unsettling.
So no, she didn’t really much like Max, and she wasn’t exactly shy about it.
“Mike, there are snacks up here if any of you want some,” his mother called down the stairs. With another squeeze and smile, him and the other three boys raced to the kitchen to grab what they could, leaving El and Max alone.
The redhead offered El a small smile and opened her mouth to speak but El rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, turning away from her and towards the stairs, waiting for the others to come back down.
“Okay…” She heard her whisper behind her. Then she heard the sound of a backpack being unzipped and a bag of some sort opening. Wondering what this girl could possibly be doing, she looked back over her shoulder and saw that she had opened a large bag of airheads - El’s favorite.
She felt her eyes go wide as she stared at the candy, making a small sound as she inhaled sharply. Hopper didn’t let her have candy often; only on special occasions, because she had a tendency to get over enthusiastic and use her powers at random intervals. And not always in very smart ways. One time she accidentally gotten his hat stuck in a tree and another time she had made Hopper run around after his keys when she didn’t want him to leave for work. So yeah. Candy wasn’t often found in the cabin.
Max must have heard her because she quickly looked up, curious, and caught El trying to compose herself. She didn’t want to show weakness.
“Do you want some?” She asked, holding the bag out.
Maybe El didn’t like Max. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t take what was offered to her, especially when it was so tempting and delicious. She nodded her head and reached into the bag, grabbing a red and a blue.
“So you like airheads, huh? They’re not my favorite but Billy was rushing me at the store and they were more of an impulse buy,” she sighed, trying to make conversation.
El made a noncommittal noise in the back of her throat and continued to open the wrappers, back to staring at the stairs and waiting. What was taking those boys so long?
Max clearly got the message that she didn’t want to talk, because she didn’t try again until everyone was settled back in their seats and back to the game.
Honestly, Max was puzzled. She didn’t understand why El didn’t like her. She had done nothing but be nice, something that was a little foreign to her. Not that she wasn’t generally a nice person she liked to usually believe - and Lucas liked to always remind her - but she was built on sarcasm and teasing. It was just in her nature. But she knew the tactic wouldn’t work on the curly haired girl so she went with this unfamiliar approach. Yet it didn’t seem to be working.
“Why do you think El doesn’t like me?” She finally asked Lucas and Dustin one day while they waited for Mike and Will after school.
“What? What do you mean she doesn’t like you?” Dustin asked, face scrunched up against the sun or in confusion as he unlocked his bike.
“I mean, every time we hang out she ignores me. She never talks to me and she always rolls her eyes whenever I talk,” she explained, feeling a little embarrassed to let them know how much this was getting to her.
“I haven’t noticed anything,” Lucas said, shrugging.
Max huffed and tried very hard not to stomp her foot in frustration.
“But it is happening and I want to know why. Are you saying she hasn’t said anything about it to you? Or Mike even?”
“Not that we know of,” Lucas replied.
“Maybe you’re overreacting,” Dustin tried.
That was apparently not the right thing to say because Max proceeded to punch him in the arm.
“I’m not. Trust me, it’s happening. And I wanna know why.”
After that she didn’t bring it up with anyone again. She couldn’t go to Mike about it. He was still a little on the fence with her sometimes and besides, El was his girlfriend. Anything she said to him would immediately go right back to her. She could have talked to Will about it, and had even started to on a couple of occasions because the boy seemed to pick up on things no one else did, but she didn’t want to complicate his life further when he was just once again settling back into routines by dragging him into it. So every time she started to ask, she quickly changed the subject, usually to the most random of things - fish, how her socks kept going missing, once even if he thought Hop or his mom would ever admit their feelings for each other. At that one he had sighed and shaken his head, wondering the same thing.
So she kept trying on her own to make the girl her friend. For two weeks, through a whole new campaign and movie nights on the weekends, she tried to be nice and polite and get this girl to open up. She didn’t have any other friends and her mom wasn’t the best of support system at the moment and she just really wanted a girl on her side. All the movies made it seem like the coolest thing ever and she wanted that. Sure the boys were awesome and she loved spending time with them, but there were just some things that she couldn’t talk to them about - especially Lucas.
But all of this to no avail. El still turned shoulders against her and rolled her eyes when she entered a room and more and more she felt a little unwelcomed. After a few more nights of that, she thought back to the one and only time she had been somewhat nice - when she had offered her candy.
Max always kept candy on her. She had a raging sweet tooth that could never go ignored so she was constantly using her allowance to buy bags of candy she could keep in her backpack. And if she was going to do that anyway, she might as well use it to her advantage. Combine that with the knowledge she had retained from a science class last year where they had been taught all about Pavlov and his dogs, and she cracked a plan to make El finally be her friend.
It started innocently enough. Every time they hung out she’d bring out the candy. She could always sense the girl’s wide eyes so she’d turn to her and offer her a piece. El always accepted and even after a while started to give her a small smile as it happened. It never seemed to matter what kind it was either, just as long as it was sweet. That meant they already had something in common and the thought made Max smile.
Finally, one night, when the boys were arguing over which ‘Star Wars’ movie was better, Max pulled out a bag of Twix and immediately felt El tense on the other end of the couch. But she wanted to try something new this time. Normally she always offered the other girl candy, trying to get her used to being friendly and sharing. This time she was going to wait and see if El would come around on her own and ask.
After about ten minutes of listening to the boys continue to bicker and eating bar after bar, when she was just about ready to give up, realizing that El was more stubborn than her, she heard a sigh and saw the other girl physically slump in defeat.
“Can I have please have a piece?” El asked, trying to keep any annoyance out of her tone.
Max tried to keep her eyes from widening in astonishment and success, instead giving her a large grin and holding the bag out. El took two pieces and began to open them very precisely before eating them both in an equal three bites each.
“So what’s your favorite candy?” Max asked, opening another bar of her own and tossing it in her mouth.
El looked at her out the corner of her eye and swallowed. “Airheads,” she finally said after a while.
“Awesome. Mine are bottle caps, but I like to switch it up every once in a while. I don’t want to get tired of anything, y’know?”
The other girl shrugged and didn’t say anything else.
Max sighed and put the bag back in her backpack, hoping that next time, she could actually get El to open up some more.
A few more weeks passed and it was winter break so the party was spending even more time in the Wheeler basement, and Max started noticing that every time she walked in the house, El’s eyes would go a little wide and she’d stare at her for a few seconds before shaking her head and looking in the other direction, confusion clouding her gaze.
This was progress, Max figured. If she was immediately seeing her and not rolling her eyes, then it was good news, even if she was only happy because of the candy. And she no longer had to offer her the candy, El started asking for it as soon as she pulled the bag out. Obviously Max was always more than happy to share, but they were still only having small conversations each time, usually ending after just a few sentences were exchanged.
Then the snowball happened and it seemed like everyone was having a good time, laughter all around the table at all moments and even sharing in a few group dances. But at one point when Max was trying to convince them all that they needed a little air and should head outside to get some, pulling on Mike and Lucas’s hands since the others were already up and out of their seats ready to join her, things seemed to change.
For the rest of the night and winter break El seemed to become cold again. The wide eyes and hopeful expression were still there whenever she came over, but she had to offer the candy once more and El only accepted with small nods and would immediately turn away.
El wasn’t sure why she was doing it. Honestly, the girl had done nothing wrong other than try and get everyone to go outside, but seeing her grabbing onto Mike and Lucas with such familiarity bothered her in a way that she thought she wouldn’t be bothered by again. Sure in the last month she hadn’t disliked Max as much. She wasn’t going to come right out and say it or act like everything was all good but she no longer felt uncomfortable or irritated with her. And she always had candy. She liked that.
And even though she wasn’t fond of Max once again, she couldn’t stop the thrill of excitement that ran through her each time she saw the redhead walk through the door. Of course she didn’t connect it with why her mouth was suddenly watering and that she couldn’t stop thinking about chocolate, but she didn’t think much of it in general, those being common things she felt throughout the day.
But really the guilt and the anxiety that surrounded thoughts of the girl started to eat at her conscience, especially since she kept sharing her candy with her, so she figured that since she’d be around for a while, she would let her know how she felt. Clear the air as she hard heard Hopper say once in. He had been talking to himself in the bathroom and she wasn’t really sure what that was about, but she had asked him what it meant over dinner that night and after the original blushing and fumbling of silverware, he told her. She liked the idea. Getting everything out in the open, even if it wasn’t pleasant. It was a lot like ‘friends don’t lie,’ to her. She hated keeping secrets and not sharing how she felt so this seemed like a good idea.
“I don’t like you, but I like candy, so I guess you can stick around and we can be sort of friends,” El said first thing when Max walked down the stairs the first Saturday morning after school started back up. She wanted to get to her before the others could and ruin their heart-to-heart, so she had waited on the bottom step for her.
“Oh,” Max replied, looking a little taken aback but also deflated. “Why?” She asked after a beat.
“Because you’re trying to take my spot,” El said simply, thinking it was obvious.
“What? What do you mean your spot? As Mage? But I’m the zoomer. I don’t want to be the Mage and I couldn’t even if I did want to. You’re the one with the awesome super powers,” Max exclaimed, a little flabbergasted that this was the reason El didn’t like her the whole time. If she had known, she would have explained to her sooner.
“So you aren’t trying to push me out?” El’s eyes were wide with wonder and she looked even a little relieved.
“Never. I’ve been trying to be your friend for the last month and a half actually,” Max laughed. “I’ve been giving you candy all the time hoping you’d eventually like me!”
“Oh!”
“Yeah.”
They stood in an awkward silence for a few moments, staring at their feet and neither one really knowing where to go from here. “Max?” “Huh?” “I’m sorry I’ve been mean to you,” El apologized, giving her a timid smile.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t talk to you about it before. We could have avoided this whole thing, Max said, waving her arms to show what she meant. “And then I wouldn’t have had to trick you with candy,” she chuckled.
“No. I liked it. I love candy! Hop never let’s me have any because he knows how I get when I have too much sugar,” El grumbled out reluctantly.
Max laughed again and shook her head. “Well I always have candy, so whenever you need some-”
“Do you have any now?” El asked eagerly.
Max smiled and nodded as the boys called that it was time to start the campaign, so they headed over to the table, sharing laughs and jokes while rooting the other on the rest of the day. And from there on out, Max always made sure to keep airheads on her.

Prompt thats angsty but fluffy? Where Trini gets into an argument with her mother and blurts out something along the lines of "you just can't accept that I'm gay can you?!" And she ends up running off but cuz of their ranger powers everyone just knows one of them is upset especially Kim and they end up finding a slightly drunk sad and gay trini sitting under a tree. Xx
Summary: In which Trini’s mother kicks Trini out and Kim is there for her gf.
Tags: Abuse, homophobia, underaged drinking, more angst than fluff but there’s fluff at the end
Notes: I know that Trini’s mom’s name is June… right?  I’m not quite sure about the dad so I just named him Richard because that was the name that popped on the top of my head.
Read @ Ao3
“Trinity, this girl you’ve been friends with, Kimberly… I saw something or are my eyes deceiving me?” June asked her daughter just as Trini twists the doorknob to her bedroom. Trini stops as she remembers dropping her friends off at Kim’s car after spending the afternoon at the Gomez household.
Kim had kissed Trini for a quick second out of unconscious actions. Both wide eyes as they pulled away, remembering that no PDA anywhere near Trini’s house as one of their rules. The group looked at the house and its windows to see if anyone in the household saw, especially Trini’s mom. They gave a small sigh after seeing no one and they all nodded and laughed in agreement that Trini and Kim have to keep their kissing in control near Trini’s house.
“You know why we always move and I’m sure you don’t want a repeat. I suggest you drop the entire gay act and stop defying me.” June had said, keeping her head straight up, voice unfaltering, and arms now crossing her chest, showing signs that she is in control of the household.
Trini’s grip on the doorknob tightens but releases it before it can break under her super powered grip. Trini turns around to face her mother with a fuming face.
“You just can’t accept that I’m gay, can you?” Trini whispers under a dangerous tone that June had caught. Trini’s angered face turned into fear as she sees her mother’s brows creased in between.
June took hold of her daughter’s wrist and pushed Trini’s bedroom door open. She shoves her daughter inside and Trini falls sideways on the floor. June shoved Trini’s closet open and grabs a duffel bag on the top of the closet and throws it harshly towards Trini.
“I’m done, Trinity! You are done sending our family to hell! You are done screwing our family!” June yells as she watched Trini get up from her position.
“Mom,” Trini grips her own elbows as she starts to cry, “Please don’t do this.” Trini sobs, doing her best to keep her face straight but can’t because of the fact that her mother is kicking her out of the house without notice.
“Pack up and leave. I won’t ask again” June grits her teeth, arms crossed over. Trini felt like the smallest person in the world and she wipes her tears away from her face.
“Mom, please! I’m your daughter and I can’t change who I am—” Trini yells with all emotion hoping that her words and tone will get to her mother but it was cut short.
A slap comes across Trini’s left cheek. While it left a bruising mark, it didn’t hurt physically—but it hurts emotionally. If it weren’t for her superhuman abilities, she’s sure that she would’ve been knocked out. Trini’s world stop as she slowly brings a hand to her cheek. Trini blinks and slowly looks up. Everything is blurry as the tears starts coming again.
A hand grabs Trini’s wrist again and this time she’s shoved out the door and down the stairs.
“I gave you a chance to pack and you chose not to! Get out!” The mother and daughter reaches the bottom of the stairs, Trini stumbles down and hits her face on the railings on the stairs and clutches her left eye but roughly pulled back up by the wrist by her mother. “You can run to her but once your ‘girlfriend’ finds a decent man, don’t come running home!”
“June, what in the world?” Richard comes in from the kitchen and spots Trini being harshly pulled up by his wife and dragging his daughter by the stairs. He takes hold of June’s hand and release it away from Trini, he holds her from behind to stop this abuse.
“Get her out of this house! I want her OUT!”
All the sudden, Trini just didn’t care anymore. Her mother was not going to have a change of heart at all and she decided the just throw it all away and run just like she had always planned.
Trini finds her way back up to her room and grabs the duffel bag that her mother threw at her, she shoves clothing and essentials inside the bag, a stack of cash she had been saving, along with a bottle of vodka that she had been keeping under her bed.
Trini takes hold of the duffel bag and opens her window.
“Trini?” Trini hears. she stops before she jumps out the window. She knew whose voice it belongs to. It was one of the twins and she refused to look at them with a bruised cheek and wrist as well as a black eye. Trini shuts her eyes as much as she can to keep her brothers’ innocence.
Trini jumps down the window and runs.
Kim pulls over at Jason’s house and all of them were silent. They felt a rush of emotions—sadness, hurt, anger and all their emotions were just running around. They figured that one moment they were singing to the number one song on the charts to a sudden wave of emotion, they knew that one of them was hurting and that person wasn’t in the car with them—Trini.
“You guys feel it too right?” They gang heard Billy say from the backseat and Kim grips the steering wheel.
Kim pulls out her phone and messages Trini, they wait for a couple of moments just parked until they all fell impatient.
“We have to find her. I think I might know.” Zack says.
“Don’t worry,” Kim pushes the details button on iMessage and a map shows up on screen saying ‘Locating.’
Kim had turned on Trini’s tracker because she knows that her girlfriend had a habit of running when the going gets tough. Kim zooms in on the iMessage tracker map and she immediately drops her phone to the center console.
“I know where she is. I’ll talk to her, okay?” Kim pulls her automatic transmission from park to drive.
“Alright. You go to her, I’ll drop Billy and Zack off, okay?” Jason says as he unbuckles his seatbelt and opens the door. The boys in the back of Kim’s car does the same, following Jason. “Call us if you need anything”
“Will do” Kimberly races along the empty streets as soon as the last door was closed.
Kim parked at her house and she ran into the mountains to her special diving spot. Kim ran as fast as she can and she spots Trini sitting by a tree and taking a swig at a bottle of vodka empty and throws it at a random direction. It was dark out and Kim could only see Trini’s silhouette. A sob escapes Trini and it breaks Kim to hear it.
“Trini?” Kim calls out as she walks slowly towards Trini. Trini gets up, slowly stumbles getting up but eventually catches herself to fall into Kim’s embrace, who opens her arms for her girlfriend and closes the distance between them by hugging Trini so close to her.
“Kim…” Trini said in such a hushed and broken tone. Kim brings her left hand to caress Trini’s hair and the other to caress her back. Kim could feel tears staining her shoulder but she doesn’t care. All she cares about is making sure that Trini is okay.
“Shh, I got you”
“My mom, Kim… She pushed me, she slapped me, she dragged me, and…” Trini stops as she feels Kim tense up and looks up at Kim’s face, Kim’s angered face. Kim looks down at Trini and immediately spots her black eye and an outline of a handprint on one side of her face.
Kim brings a hand to push Trini’s strand of hair out of her face and gently runs a finger at her bruised face.
“She kicked me out, Kim.” Trini says as her lips turned downwards. Trini sees Kim’s lips stutter but no words come out. “She kicked me out because she saw us and she can’t accept that I’m gay.”
“C’mon, you’ll stay with me.”
Kim had to carry Trini on her back walking through the mountains and back to her home. Trini’s legs partially wrapped around Kim’s torso, being supported by Kim’s arms, arms wrapping around Kim like a koala. Trini was slightly drunk and asleep on back, exhausted from today’s events.
Kim knew that Trini’s mother was extremely homophobic but not the point where she would kick her own daughter out of the house.
Kim laid Trini down on her bed, grabbed an ice pack downstairs, even though Trini’s accelerated healing with patch the bruises, but it shows that Kim is there for Trini and will continue to be there for all the thick and thins. Kim lays down after fifteen minutes of icing Trini’s face and messages the boys that Trini is with her and to get some sleep. Kim snuggles Trini and places a kiss on her forehead and says “goodnight.”
“You won’t leave me right?” Kim hears Trini speak.
Kim pushed herself even closer, “Never”
Trini  shuffles to face Kim, looks up and presses a kiss to Kim’s lips really quick and hides her face in Kim’s chest right after. “I love you.” Trini whispers as she clenches Kim’s shirt.
Kim releases a small smile, despite the situation. Kim presses her lips to Trini’s forehead, “I love you too. Always.”
Trini believes it, wraps an arm around her girlfriend, and snuggled closer to Kim’s touch. And just like that, she’s home in Kim’s arms.
