My friends and I both have made a small AU where the canon Lucifer mentioned in I only say morning escaped his confines by literally ripping his light/aka. Himself out of his physical shell and escaping hell, being one last spark of hope in the Ultrakill universe, its not a big idea but me and my friends just went nuts over it especially the part where we made up that idea that his dead husk became sentient and had to Deal with the aftermath of Luci's "death", pls we've been coping to see what happened to him in game and this helps the wait, do you have any predictions for Lucifer in game?

ooooooh that is super neat! i do really enjoy the idea of him escaping, this world essentially not fit for someone like him in everything that it is (and absolutely HUGE yes to his reanimated husk!!! we love a soulless shell left behind to deal with the fallout!!! which also also is neat to contrast with humans...once flesh then souls, so angels once soul then flesh....prime husk....) as far as canon goes, i definitely don't have a clue which direction the game will go in, especially with so little information right now, but i am a little. suspicious of things atm. in the inferno, heresy marks the entrance to the city of dis, which is where dante and virgil first encounter fallen angels in those that guard the gates. after this point the demons are a fixture of the poem, with the fallen angels having a massive presence in violence where they guide the poets (and act as comic relief). however, they have been very noticeably absent in ultrakill, which i think is absolutely purposeful, as even the centaurs had equivalents in the earthmovers. there is a giant, fallen angel-shaped hole in this game, they are nowhere to be seen and they are not mentioned whatsoever outside of lucifer in a single testament. that's pretty strange and stands out to me in a story taking place in hell, particularly one based on the inferno. it makes me think they didn't survive their fall...or, more likely, they didn't survive hell. so canonly, i believe lucifer is likely dead at this point but kind of like you talked about, i don't necessarily think that means he's gone. hell could absolutely be using him/his body for its own purposes since he likely had quite a substantial amount of angelic power to harvest. i could even see him (or what's left of him) as part of the fight against hell should that actually happen as a lot of people are theorizing. i also do kind of have the idea that lucifer and any other fallen angels have been gone so long, they actually don't significantly factor into this world anymore, but i'm guessing there's a solid fate planned for them! they've been so pointedly absent that i'm excited to see what's in store regardless

Saw you with that lowly demon again in the hallway and he just wasn't having it anymore

He called you to him

"We are going on a date tonight at 7. Be ready. Don't make me wait."

You seemed confused but very excited

He was too and just smirked at the angry demon behind you

Mammon:

Was waiting outside for you to go home together and he saw you from the distance with the demon

What's the human doing blushing like that?

Not one to ignore situations like that

Gets closer to investigate

Did...did that demon just touch their arm?

Seriously, why are you acting all happy and giggly with them?

He can't bare to watch...it....it kind of hurts

Before he knows it he's getting in between you two

"What? You wanna be food or somethin'? C'mon." He growls and drags you away angrily

The other demon tried to protest but Mammon slid into demon form in an instant so they backed off

He held your hand all the way home but he was silent until you got to the door

"Don't ever do that again...ya hear me? You're definitely mine, got it?"

Levi:

Couldn't wait to show you his new video of funny anime clips he made

He made sure to include some of your favorites, he knew you'd love it!

He went looking for you around lunch

Who is that demon...why are they so close to you?

They're getting too cozy...

He saw the demon wrap their arm around your waist while you laughed

TOO COZY

Before he knew it he slipped into his demon form and went yelling at the two of you

He grabbed you and dragged you away yelling about normies and his time

The other demon barely had time to say anything since Levi shot them a death glare

He kept mumbling angrily and finally stopped when you two were away from everyone

"You can't do things like that! I won't allow it! You're my player two, okay!? And...and tonight is date night!"

Satan:

Went to go meet you at the library

Noticed you were talking to a demon he was seeing around more often

Decided to spy just a little...was curious is all

Went from chill to "chill 🙂" when he saw the other demon kiss your hand

He rushed over and cleared his throat and offered a not so friendly hello

The demon didn't leave...great

When you went to the restroom Satan threatened them

"If you know what's good for you, I suggest you stay away."

Don't catch his paws

The demon had heard stories about Satan's wrath so they complied

He explained to you the other demon had things to do

"Hey while I have you here...would you like to go on a date this weekend?"

Was on his way to class but got nosy when he saw you were with someone that wasn't his brothers

He stayed back to check if you were safe

A small flame erupted when he saw the other demon lightly brush your hair with their finger

Ha! As if he could ever be jealous of someone like them!

But they were getting all your attention...

Sauntered over and introduced himself

He suggested the other demon leave since they would never be good enough for you

You seemed embarrassed but also delighted by the turn of events

"Sorry it took long...will you go on a date with me♡?"

Beel:

Went to look for you after school

Saw you with another demon in an empty  classroom

Saw the demon take both your hands

You were blushing and they were giving you a flirty smile

Before Beel knew it he was in front of you both and took the other demons hands off you, who protested

Beel bared his fangs and they backed off

"Lets go." Beel pulled you away angrily and carried you home

It wasn't until he saw the demon wrapping their arm around you that he really snapped and walked over

Pushed you against the wall, his gloved hand held your face gently

"I apologize for not making my intentions clear before. We are together, starting now. I did not like what I witnessed and know that won't happen again."

This is really just a small little writing thing I did at 4am. ♥ relationship: no direct romance really, just some cute stuff between Lucifer and reader. ♥ word count: 1.6k ♥ notes: no childbirth mentioning and this is written like just as summaries of the situation tbh, almost like a bullet point format without the bullet points, the entire cast are characters, hospital scene, I made Alastor a main character and her main bestie because of course I did, reader is happy to be a mother

You wanted to give your baby a chance to get into Heaven, even if it meant they'd leave without you. Hell is no place for a child. Both you and Charlie knew that.

"What a pleasant surprise," you sign to Alastor when you see that damn smiling demon right outside your hotel room.

He laughs; aw, you're describing his arrival as pleasant. Did he make a good impression on you when you saw him last when he introduced himself in person in Pride Sign Language? You never seemed to have paid any mind to him, giving one motion signs as responses whenever he tried starting a conversation. But even when you interacted with him like that, he couldn't help but wonder why you always looked at him with your sweet, shy gaze. It's not on purpose, which is the worst part.

Pleasant, you called it a pleasant surprise.

"It's good to see you too, my dear!" He signs, bowing a bit and pushing past you into your room. "What have you been up to?"

What an obnoxious question.

You close the door, squeezing the doorknob tightly. This is going to be a long evening. When you turn back to Alastor, he's in your living room examining the decor, your random art pieces taped to the walls and organized together, though not concisely.

He waves his hands. "I love what you've done with the place."

"I've been bored." You sign with a slight nod to yourself. It's awfully isolating, which is obvious. Still, it has never hit you as hard as it does now as you watch another person walk through your chambers.

"I'm glad I can be in your company then." His smile widens, and the static he emits gets heavier. His ear twitched a bit, which you noticed but tried not to directly look at. Was it a good or bad thing?

"But it's often relieving to be alone," you start and look him up and down.

"You're quite used to being alone, aren't you?"

Your lips tighten, your hands stiff, and you are unable to finish your sentence. Absentmindedly, you rest them on your plump, pregnant belly. Alastor does his best not to let his eyes draw down to analyze it. Still, his head tilts, even just a little. He hates looking at your hands when you touch your stomach. Did his mother hold her belly like that when he was inside of hers?

"Don't you have others to talk to?"

"They're out on their little journeys, you know them."

"Of course."

Alas, he lets his eyes trail down to your stomach. It's not quite full, but it's obvious enough to gain attention from others. Charlie will put her hands on it every day, waiting for the baby to show its presence. She can feel the heartbeat, and so can you and Vaggie, though everybody else can't feel a thing. Alastor refuses to put a hand on your stomach. Life is precious and loud, and the few who were never human understand that differently than the others.

"I wanted to check in on the baby."

A twitch of your eyebrow makes his smile widen.

"Why?"

The day before, Lucifer arrived.

You try on your best clothes, laying them flat against your front, looking at your belly in the mirror. For the king, should you try to hide it or show it proudly? He has a daughter, but does that affect his thoughts about Hellborn pregnancies? Gosh, what do you have to worry about? So stupid.

With the other people, your new friends, you stood with your head proud.

He swirled with the dragons and hugged his daughter as if he hadn't seen her for years. What a kind man, unusually kind. His eyes... Those soft, precious eyes. And when they landed on you, your heart almost stopped. He looked at you as if you were an angel. When his lips started to move, the smile you didn't even know you wore faded.

Charlie put her hand on his shoulder and whispered something to him. And there came Alastor, saving the day.

"The idiotic king was just telling you how happy he is for you." With the signs came the grinding of his teeth.

Lucifer approached, his cheeks flushed pink with embarrassment. He addressed Alastor with aggressive hesitance. 'Tell her...' he said.

Charlie smiled excitedly, Nifty kept nodding, and Sir Pentious's eyes started tearing up.

Alastor grimaced. "He's asking if he could feel your stomach."

As always, you've put a thorn in the flow of interactions.

Still, you put on a smile. "Of course."

And there you stood, the King of Hell's hands gently holding you. You could feel the cold of his touch even through the fabric of your shirt. The heartbeat vibrated through both your body and his. The baby was alive and well; you could tell through the pure glee that spread across his face. Beyond your tiny ounce of worry, you knew he'd find hope within your baby.

Alastor watched with a terribly strained smile.

"Why?" You ask again when he doesn't answer. "What's with the sudden worry?"

"Worry? No, no." Alastor waves you off. "More like..."

You watch with interest as he trails off, a vulnerability you love.

He squints his eyes and clenches his fists, but only for a moment. His lack of vocabulary kills him. "...Intrigue."

You crack a smirk. "Are you finally gonna feel my stomach?"

Another pause. Alastor considers it, but all he can imagine is his claws accidentally drawing blood.

"No."

"That's okay." Again, your hands rest on your stomach.

Alastor has been watching it grow, but so has Lucifer. Charlie's father scarcely visits, and you've convinced yourself it's to see you. Every time he enters the hotel, he asks how you are. He tries to lift his hands to sign but finds no words forming. A language was created in his world, and he has yet to learn how to learn it.

Whenever he presses his hands against your belly, he can feel the liveliness of the soul forming inside you, and he can feel your appreciation at his care.

Begrudgingly, he always has to ask Alastor for advice on communicating with you. Alastor always has a cocky smirk when he teaches.

Charlie has to ask Alastor for help, too, but more willingly. Alastor raises his chin and squares shoulders when people ask him for help. Charlie went to him for help on a conversation you knew she was going to start with you:

"You're not going to stay here for the battle."

"I know." There was no argument on your behalf. Charlie's cheeks still went pink.

"But I have to figure out where it's safest for you. Alastor told me Cannibal Town, but uhh... Maybe not."

"They'll all be here anyway. Maybe they'll distract the angels from going over there."

Her bright eyes widen a bit. "Do you think so?"

"I can stay over there, even if they try to eat me." They won't, and even if they try, they know Alastor would end their lives, don't they?

She fiddles with her fingers before lifting them up again. "I suppose..."

She's so quickly convinced it's cute. You're right, though, of course. Cannibal Town might be the safest place, specifically under the hands of Rosie, who Alastor had previously told you would be more than willing to help you. You can imagine her smile at seeing your belly, twice the size as when Alastor first told you about her. Unbeknownst to Charlie, he's been planning this for a while.

Your stress for their safety irks you more than you expected.

You place a hand on Charlie's, lifting your other one. "I'll be okay."

Before you left for Cannibal Town, you met Lucifer once again, a more loving side of him. He cradled your head and held the back of your neck as he did. His cold body felt like warmth to you. He whispered things to you; you could only tell from how his breath constantly brushed against your ear in sing-songy waves. Was he singing to you? A lullaby? He pulled away and finally signed to you. "You're going to be a great mom."

A moment before, Alastor finally put his hands on your belly. His hands were warm. Like Lucifer, he was whispering to himself, holding silent words from you. In another life, you'd imagine they were prayers. At that moment, only an instinct, you put your hands on his, and he allowed it.

The stress of their safety worsened when they were left alone in Cannibal Town without a word of winning or losing.

The winning of Hell was all you wanted to focus on when you noticed the contractions getting worse, spaced out in purposeful ways. Oh goodness, you found yourself thinking, oh my God.

What if Lucifer dies on the same day your child is born?

But after the battle, he was right there to cradle the baby in his arms, his heavenly grasp relaxing the tiny baby. The rest of the group sat in your room, Sir Pentious absent, tears in their eyes at both the birth and the death.

Beyond Lucifer's cradling, Husk was the only one who touched your child that day. He placed his furry paw against the baby, feeling the body heat that they admitted. Life could be beautiful, he decided.

Vaggie's sense of revenge deepened. She sacrificed Heaven to save a child, and now she's even more than willing to kill her sisters to save yours.

While Charlie stares at your baby with tears, Alastor smiles warmly at you. He knew you could do it: birth something beautiful and worth protecting.

Your eyes are locked on Lucifer. He's an amazing, supportive dad to Charlie, and your heart begins to swell. Your heartbeat increases, and a blush weakly forms on your already flushed face. His rough hands hold a forgiving softness. He's beautiful.

nightbringer lesson 43

Well okay. Some of that was to be expected. Other parts, though...

Listen I didn't hate it, but I have questions!! Then again, I always have questions. Spoilers below as always.

So Babel, huh?

I thought it was interesting that this basically confirms that demons can't go to the Celestial Realm. Not even Lord Diavolo could get that to happen. Babel is apparently kinda like Cocytus - technically part of the Celestial Realm, but not actually part of the Celestial Realm (whatever that means I swear this game is gonna be the death of me).

So instead of sending them to the CR, Diavolo was able to send them to Babel.

With Solomon as their guide! Even though he's never been there before! And he absconds shortly after arriving at the gate!

Then they gotta be judged because of course they do.

And who should show up but Michael himself, disguised as Raphael once again.

I can't decide how I feel about Michael. I mean, he's clearly a menace, but sometimes he's also just super benevolent and there is this heavy implication that he still cares about the bros? I can't figure him out.

I thought it was interesting that Lucifer said this when I chose the option saying I wanted to meet Michael. Tell us how you really feel, Luci.

Anyway, it's interesting to remember that Michael pretending to be Raphael in that hard lesson from season one was actually millennia ago. Like it might have been many thousands of years since Michael disguised himself as Raphael.

But it annoys me that he does it at all, tbh. I was like oh cool Raphael gets to be in this part! But NO.

I also kinda got the sense in the locked lesson that Diavolo and Barbatos like knew this was gonna happen and had planned for it all along? Like it really felt to me like Diavolo is running the SF just so he can grant wishes for the bros and make them do little tests as a family or whatever.

I dunno, I can't figure out the end game for all these shenanigans. I'm just really hoping it'll somehow lead to some kind of Nightbringer related reveal. 'Cause so far... I'm kinda bored?

But we did have some excellent lines and a few other things I thought were interesting, which I will get to.

Hard Mode: Once again we see the Lil Ds doing their thing, Diavolo being adorable with them, and at the end Luke & Simeon approach Nos 2 & 5! What could they want!?? Guess we gotta wait until next time.

Okay here are some interesting tidbits.

I love the implications of this. Asmo asks Satan how Solomon knows about Babel, which says that Asmo thinks Satan might know this fact about Solomon even though he, a demon who has a pact with said sorcerer, does not. Turns out Satan doesn't know, either. But LUCIFER clearly does. asdklfjfdkfj noooooo I didn't immediately go SOLOLUCI that wasn't something I did at all...

I will add here that I felt there were some hints of a Solomon and Michael friendship, though. Is it possible that Solomon left because he didn't want to see Michael? Did they have a falling out? Is this implying Michael is Nightbringer? (This last one seems unlikely but there it is.) Also I think a friendship between them could explain how Solomon knows about Babel to begin with.

I still think the friend that Solomon made when he was locked up as a child could have been Michael.

This whole part confused the junk out of me. Beel. My sweet baby boy. WHY. Why would any of you still love the CR!?!?! I don't understand this at all. It feels like they're trying to get us to think that the CR is a great place. But I've seen them as the enemy from the start?? You can't just switch it on us now. You can't pretend that Michael, a manipulative disguise wearer who [spoilers redacted] is somehow a good guy now? I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But if he wasn't the one doing all that stuff, them SOMEONE in the CR was.

😭Barb why. I thought we were back in the time when you liked Solomon. I just want my wives to get along, is that too much to ask??

Speaking of my wives getting along... chowderhead is my new favorite insult lol. I love Mammon he always says what he's thinking and it's freakin adorable. Was I perhaps considering this in terms of solomams? NOOOOOO. But really what does it mean when a tsundere gives you a little insulting nickname like that? It means THEY LOVE YOU OF COURSE. Sorry okay I'm done.

Oh nothing, just Beel making it sound like he's actually done this before. I would pay money to see it.

This part made me laugh so hard. Like look how SAD they both look l;kasdjfjf. Diavolo's just like, sorry Dad... and Barbatos is like, you have done nothing wrong, my son, my favorite child.

ANYWAY.

I'm still holding out hope but so far this season has been somewhat underwhelming. I give it a solid meh.

I still really, realllly feel like an all-out war with Heaven should be like, a giant show finale and not the end to the first season. Where do we go from here?? We already know God doesn't exist in this universe, so what other lore is even left to be explored?

Once again Charlie giving some big heartfelt speech really doesn't feel earned when we've barely spent any time with these characters

Daddy issues who?? Lucifer is his dad and he HATES when he is compared to Lucifer because spoiled brat doesn't want to be like that "ugly old man". He was created out of Lucifer's wrath when their sister died and since then everyone sees him as a replacement for their dead sister he hates it. The kind of guy who would smash random objects when angry bcz of temper tantrums. I don’t feel bad for him because??? Daddy issues??? Suck it up, Lucifer isn’t even that bad your just salty he’s hotter. Also purge that outfit rn, that's a crime to fashion.

Asmodeus- Lust

A boy but so girlypop??( No hate I love girlypop boys ) Probs fucked every human, demon and angel in existence. Gossip queen and mean girl. Never trust him with secrets, he would tell the entire school. Horny 24/7, honestly a big cheater and fuckboy. Regina George 2.0, will make fun of your outfit because he wants to look better. That pretty girl that you go to talk to but turns out she has a nasty attitude and talks shit about everyone?? Thats him. Then he gets mad when people call him ugly??? Demon Brothers in order of least to most hygienic

Tbh this wouldn't leave my brain, explanation/ reason also listed. You can try to change my mind but not really.

1.) Leviathan- You can't convince me he doesn't smell the worst/ shower the least of the seven. Once he gets his hand on the latest manga or gaming obsession this dude does not leave his room. He will stay locked in front of his console until he gets all the achievements and checks all the forums. One time his brothers thought they could starve him out but he has an emergency stash of rations so he can keep gaming/ reading/ watching anime. He'll even pee in empty energy cans just so he doesn't have to leave his room. Whenever he does finally leave his room after his latest binge whatever brother sees him first will shove him in the bathroom and spray him down, clothes and all. He has long sense accepted his fate.

2.) Belphegor- Its canon that whenever he does shower he has to start head first or he'll forget what parts of his body he's cleaned or hasn't cleaned (T_T). He values sleep above all else and sees shower as a chore he could go without doing for extended periods of time (why shower when all he does is sleep, its not like he's dirty). Beel will carry Belphie to the shower when his stench gets to be too much.

3.) Beelzebub- He's pretty physically active and after Fangol practice he does shower at the school. In the evening before bed he'll do a "quick" workout then start heading to the bathroom with the intent to shower but gets hungry on the way so he'll go to the kitchen to grab a quick snack and sort of forgets that he was supposed to shower. He'll notice the next day that he has a bit of funk and as long as if doesn't cut into his breakfast time he'll go an take a quick shower. If he doesn't have time he will wait till after Fangol practice.

4.) Lucifer- Mans is constantly busy with student council work and keeping track of his brothers antics. Between all his duties both inside and outside of RAD he barely has time to take care of himself. Barbatos will make a not so subtle comment about how Lucifer is Diavolo's right hand man and should hold himself as such in all aspects including but not limited to cleanliness. Lucifer takes the hint and showers.

5.) Satan- He has to be better than Lucifer at anything and everything. While his room might be a chaotic mess he does try to ensure he's cleaner than Lucifer. Sometimes when he gets hooked on a new book or detective show he'll start to neglect his basic needs but Asmo will quickly tell him he needs to go shower, even though he doesn't smell.

6.) Mammon- As a model he gets access to some free products from his photoshoots/ ads and ensures when he gets to his modeling gigs he's a fresh clean canvas for whatever the photographer has in mind. In between work he might feel a little lazy and miss a shower or two but nothing crazy. He still smells nice.

7.) Asmodeus- The cleanest and best smelling out of his brothers. Has access to a plethora or soaps and shampoos. He hates getting sweaty and dirty, will avoid it at all costs. Even when his doing his "extracurricular" activities he will be the first to jump into the shower afterwards. Even if he's spent the whole day indoors he showers/ bathes at least twice a day. In the evening he'll have a nice soak in his magic infused bathtub.

Neil is not lying about Crowley not being Lucifer and isn't going to surprise us with that suddenly being canon in the series. He quite literally can't do that now. He knows people are or will be making fanfic of it now. He now cannot ever use it. Same with the Raphael theory. Same with any other popular fan theory someone has taken to his inbox for confirmation, only to be denied. All that accomplishes is confirming he in no way will ever use any element of it in any of his writing going forward. So keep speculating! Keep having fun making theories! i respect your view and agree with it... i would however argue that personally i think the people that have been in my post notes in particular have been pretty respectful from what i recall, or at least have been very clearly joking.

there is, as far as im aware, a relatively small group of blogs that went generally full-ham on the theory (and perhaps im in that number, idk) but from what ive seen, following neil's ask, the majority have actually found the whole situation very funny...

maybe gone a bit ironic/sarcastic with "lmao imagine if he's lying" out of disappointment (me too!), but obviously joking and otherwise pretty respectful. honestly, i found the whole thing hysterical, i hammed up the Lucifer Theory Grief for an evening, and have since largely gotten over it. i think a lot of others have been the same.

however. i managed to read about 20 replies through That Neil Ask before i was starting to get pretty pissed off, by people on both sides of the lucifer argument:

i get why people were getting irritated by the pro-theoriers; the theory was debunked - move on, or take it off of the ask. i agree with that sentiment - other than rb'ing the ask twice and adding my tags, i left it alone and kept the dialogue on my own blog, and imo others should have done the same - just simply left the neil ask, and taken the discourse to their own blogs.

that being said, some of the anti-theoriers were coming across as outright rude, to the point for me of even being quite upsetting (and it wasn't even directed at me lmao). i get they were probably getting annoyed on behalf of neil, and that's admirable - but neil is a whole ass grown man. if he wanted people to stop commenting on his ask, i imagine he would have locked the post, posted a PSA, or just simply turned off his askbox. people do not need to police for him.

one thing i will point out, however, is that the lucifer theory came up on an rb, not directly in his inbox.

neil chose to respond to that rb (and the one after) entirely by his choice; it wasn't sprung on him in his inbox. noone should have to police their rbs or rb tags just in case he sees? direct inbox submission is a huge no-no (i agree with you, especially as he has actually asked for people to not do that), but this particular situation, ill be honest, does not fit that.

i also think the way both sides have reacted over the lucifer debunk has now unfortunately set a rather unsettling precedent for any other theory that might come out and people disagree with; ive been bracing myself for a potential shitstorm all day about my theory on the second coming for this very reason... and tbh i shouldn't have to feel like that.

everyone deserves to have fun in fandom-space, that's what makes it enjoyable and collaborative. if you (royal 'you') do not like a theory, or think it's a load of rubbish, either argue it back eloquently and with an open mind, instead of just being outright dismissive and making people feel stupid (as i felt after reading those replies, tbh), or leave that person/collective alone. it doesn't hurt you, it doesn't hurt anyone, and it's just people speculating and having fun with it.

alright, i looked trough your blog and it is quite fascinating both for original parts of your narrative and how it seems specifically based off of ultrakill plot as of 6-2. with later versions will you plan to edit your AU to fit with new narrative elements or you prefer to keep it true to how it is now?

on the note of newer narrative elements, what is your interpretation for mind of hell? it really does seem that if ultrakill has a true main antagonist then it is hell itself. and with current way how it was characterized it seems to have "inherited" the world from god and is in complete control over current situation. angels are lost without gods plan and just try to make the same motions as before. humanity may have actually been ended by hell's design, even with how much the earths machines act as a force of nature hell seems to comfortably channel them like water and using for its own purposes and entertainment. so far hell restrained itself only for its wins to be more cathartic (various "uprisings" on different layers), and so far is the most in control and very distinctly from everyone else is absolutely enjoying its time

so yeah, i am really curios on your take on hell's mind in both official material and your AU since i saw only very passing mentions for it in your posts

ooooo good questions tbh...i've definitely thought a lot about what will happen with the au as ultrakill reaches its end and what i'll do about elements obviously becoming unfit compared to the story. i think it really depends on how much it's going to be off, but i will be honest in saying i would have a tough time abandoning my ocs if official versions of michael, raphael, uriel, or lucifer are introduced! i think of course they would be well done and i would actually love to see them in canon, but i think it would cause a divergent au in that case. because i would love to explore how this au might fit into whatever becomes canon, but i've just developed the world and characters too much to leave the au behind as it is now. overall though, i just need to see how it ends and what it introduces to know where i might want to go, if i'd want to do a properly canon-divergent au when everything is said and done, or if i might just...stick with a canon-divergent from 6-2 onward. it's funny bc i actually was nervous about this just with layer 7 dropping, so i can't imagine how anxious i'll be for the last 2 layers! esp with lucifer looming in treachery - i think it's very up in the air if any of the other archangels will play a role in the game at this point, but more about lucifer is highly likely to come imo so!!! it's a big waiting game to find out!!

you're right in that i haven't done too much with hell, though i am interested in it as a character - i have considered it more with lucifer becoming much more of an element in the au, as he has spoken with it constantly and hell is sort of...in love with him, in an abstract way. it views him still as one of the most beautiful works it has, the first bright and radiant thing it had ever seen in its misery, but hell has become utterly engrossed with the cruelty of humanity. while lucifer was some celestial god that fell to it, humanity had minds much like it, and so it fell in love with them in a way it could understand. hell is always searching for more, an artist always looking for inspiration while holding lucifer as its muse. it's the capacity they connect with on the most, both great creators with god's spark in them, and admittedly, in his suffering, lucifer sometimes understood hell's work. but lucifer was secure, lucifer it had always to speak to, but increasingly it whispered the brutality of mankind, the wonderful inventions of their minds and the horrible works of their hands it began to copy. it hooked itself into the terminals they installed, and so lucifer gained all the knowledge of machines through their internal circuit. and when mankind was wiped out, hell became master in a world run by automation with all the creators gone from their servants. it has all it wants, and it indulges in testing its creations upon the machines and the husks of mankind in such tangible joy that an abstract like lucifer could not bring to it. lucifer it relates to in hatred, in his deep, abyssal loathing of the god that trapped him here, but even that is something more abstract to hell than the brutality of humanity - lucifer hates perfectly, he hates with the mind of god, and it is not met precisely by hell as hell was born into what it is.

so what then can hell feel when lucifer is released from it, when the dragon is cut down and its flesh severed from treachery's? this is really where i want to explore the relationship between lucifer and hell, what they are to each other - hell is a take on "this place loves you", but it is entirely malignant, noxious and harmful, while lucifer recognizes it as the hideous creation he fell trying to destroy, yet it is now irrevocably his home, the one entity he now knows. they are tangled up in each other, lucifer in an obvious sense but hell now cannot bear to lose its little spark of god's light. something in his beauty sustains it, it pulls at him constantly now that he's partially left it, and lucifer is stranded not knowing what decision to make. he still hears it speaking to him, esoteric fragments made up of the ambient noise of its body, but what can he do with it now? it is alive, sentient, a being put into a wretched position by god which condemns it for how antithetical it is to the fulfillment of all other creations. lucifer wanted it gone. he protested against it all those eons ago. but now he is frozen by choice, seeing it behave as some evil god yet knowing it cannot be any other way. what is fair then? to find some way to kill it? to cut off whatever constitutes its brain? to reason with it? try to change its very essence? lucifer must work through the possibilities while accepting hell, in so many ways, is the place he now wants to be. free at last, but once more full of despair. how can he kill his home and what might be his only friend? how can he reason with it, when he once tried the same with god and was struck down? how can he change it when he is just a pale shadow of what made something so monstrous in the first place? yet he fears hell will grow angry in its stasis, in running out of victims for its cruelty, and act out in retaliation

That's a long title for a very short post.

Also I oped a ko-fi! And kept it open! If you'd like, I'd love for you to check it out (But don't feel obligated to, it's only mentioned on the pinned post because I don't want anyone to feel pressured). I might even open up commissions or asks for the characters I don't usually write for, for larger pieces, or other fandoms... if anyone is interested!!

Lucifer

The only reason he knows what these things are is because of Leviathan, and he can't believe his partner participates in them too.

Other then some beliefs that they are a bit childish, he really doesn't care.

He's the real thing after all. The actual,, physical demon that you share your affections with. No need to worry about some fictional character.

Well, not unless Leviathan introduces you to more cursed games. Then he might have a problem.

Mammon

Mammon likes to believe he's not really bothered by this.

(C'mon, the character isn't even real, what does he have to be worried about?!)

The truth is he's very bothered.

(What does that person have that he doesn't? He has a sad back story! He can use a sword! Actually maybe not that second one, but still!)

He feels especially bad if the character looks like him.

^Mammon internalizes a lot of the things people say about him, and he worries that you feel the same way. The idea that you might leave him for an "upgraded" version of himself haunts him for a while.

Maybe letting him play the game and bully that character might make him feel better.

Leviathan

Cool!

He totally wants to trade games with you.

He really can't wait to see what the human realm has in store.

It's not much, the market for good games is relatively small

But playing Monster Party together is fun!

The experience of sharing something together totally nulls the possible envy/possessive tendencies Leviathan harbors. Just don't go... wild with it.

Satan

He definitely knows what they are, and he discovered them on his own.

(So he has a bit of experience, but he's probably never played one to finish just because of sheer embarrassment)

He'll totally read alongside you though.

Satan loves dramas, so as long as the story is convoluted, unnecessary, and/or petty, he'll be happy.

Asmodeus

He's played these sorts of games before, but never found the appeal.

After all, if he wanted a steamy romance, he could just go get one. There were plenty of offers.

^That's why he's a bit jealous when he notices you playing. It almost feels like you're choosing a stupid game over HIM.

He'll get over this relatively quick if you just invite him to play.

Great bonding activity, scoring virtual dates with your real date.

Honestly he has no issues with you finding a game like this to play.

Tbh he feels really guilty that he falls asleep during you shared days together pretty often. So, having something that can substitute him makes him feel like you're not being disappointed.

(He's hurt that he looses so much time, and is rather insecure about it, but accepts that this is the reality)

When he's awake though, the game is away, and he's giving you his full attention. Please do the same.

HoL = House of Lamentation

Lucifer: Stays in HoL but possibly renovates it a little bit to have more privacy. (as a compromise in case you reaaally didn't want to stay there - now you have your own bathroom + a small kitchen)

His brothers still depend on him so you continue to share family moments. (which isn't too bad, Lucifer is usually busy so sometimes you might actually want their company) Though now you get noticeably more alone time together - which makes him realize how it would've been a good idea to actually move out (he'd immediately regret that tho because he very care family).

Helps out with chores most of the time. Going OUT on dates is a must at least once a week or so otherwise both of you lose your minds. Nothing else changes, really. Mammon: More likely to move in with you in the human world but would (slightly) prefer the Devildom. (he'd only do that tho if he can secure a spot in a safer area for your sake. even if you are a powerful sorcerer.) Paying rent&bills is going to require hustle which might be a reason why you have to move back into HoL. (though...in canon if he is in love with u, u get rich even if u do nothing...so that'd be handy in this case) Definitely enjoys how he gets to keep you for himself and he is living for the small moments with you (such as morning cuddles) but also! with you everything is much more fun, even if both of you work multiple shifts; after each day you are so tired you can barely watch a movie. Both of you visit HoL on the regular.

Leviathan: The only reason he'd do it is to get more alone time with you. Would take ages to actually do it, but he'd prefer to live in the human world with you (it's safer + its better for anime and gaming). (Lucifer is against the idea which also slows down the process but he eventually gives in). You'd probably have an apartment in a city with fast internet connection (dw he's done his research) and where you can afford rent. He works from home (either esports or programming) so he is always there to greet you when you get home. Decorates the entire apartment with figurines and posters plus there is never enough space for him. Henry is there also. You'd think he cooks / bakes and you'd be wrong. 92% of the time it's take-out food time. Definitely needs help with chores at first but gets the hang of it easily. Occasionally you visit HoL.

Satan: Definitely would rather moving out and renting an apartment. I think he'd prefer the human world. I feel like he'd want to change cities often (every 3-5 yrs or so). He is a curious demon and there is always so much to learn about humans. Very domestic. Does the chores and he does them well. You can never complain. Somehow can balance work & you & chores. (probably needs explanation sometimes with equipment he isn't familiar with but we can excuse that) Every weekend is date weekend where you learn something new about each other and the culture of the country. Asmo visits every month or so & stays for ~3 days.

Asmodeus: hmm...i think he'd let you decide on the realm but he picks the exact location. He picks a very busy area with rich nightlife, but to your surprise he only participates like a couple of times a week, usually with you. Listen he adores being with you. Posts about your life together very often. Would start a new vlogging channel if you'd let him. Rent & bills are No Big Deal, though at first he is shocked at how expensive they are. Is fine with most of the chores but since he refuses to do the dishes, when it's him on dinner duty you both go on a date instead. Beelzebub: Refuses to move out if Belphie can't come, unless it's literally the house next to HoL. (/closest to. i'm not sure if they have like. a close neighbour) Rather domestic, does the chores and puts in work to get the bills. Sometimes you might not find him at home - he is either getting groceries or decided to visit Belphie. Would rather have a movie night with you than going out on a date. Depending on what kind of house it is, he might pick up gardening as a hobby. Belphegor: Similar to his twin he'd prefer staying close to him if possible, but if that can't happen he's fine with moving in with you in the human world. (yes he prefers that over the Devildom) Lucifer doesn't like this idea at all so you probably need to convince him.

Bills might be an issue as he keeps losing jobs but you can't really blame him for that, can you. Regaring chores, he only does the groceries, vacuuming, laundry, and changing sheets, everything else is up to you. Every Sunday you spend sleeping in & cuddling. Beelzebub visits you every week, usually on the weekends.

Barbatos: Hm... I think you'd probably need to move in the castle, or a small apartment very near. It is because of his job obviously, can't help it.

As he is the royal butler I imagine you wouldn't need to worry about bills / rent because. Yeah. Chores, on the other hand, fall on you very often - sometimes his job requires him to be there 24 hours a day. Even when he has more break time he'd rather not do chores at home as well because then he'd literally have no time left to spend with you. But when he can afford to do them, he definitely helps out & does them better than you (no shame in that tho he does this for a living)

Diavolo: Pretty obviously you move in the castle. No rent & no chores to worry about unless you are desperate to help Barbatos out.

He'd spend literally all his time with you if he could & Lucifer often scolds him for it. Neglecting work isn't a good idea right.

Every weekend there is something new to do, he spends lots of time thinking about how you are going to spend it. Also this would be the first time(s) you'd actually see him stress about work, since you live close enough to him now. (obviously he mentioned it many times before but that's a different experience) Solomon: Honestly you are free to choose where you'd want to live as he'd follow you anywhere.

Tbh I'm not sure about his finances but I'd like to imagine you don't have to worry about paying the bills. (as in: you have to work too if possible but that's ok)

He does his chores but he does them his way. If you do them differently he might comment but usually he just lets you be. It's entertaining to learn how many different ways there are to,,, doing dishes.

Simeon: Definitely prefers the Celestial Realm & I don't think there is much you can do to negotiate if you want to live with him. Similar to Solomon, paychecks aren't a big deal but it's something to consider; if possible you'd need to work to help out.

He has his favourite chores to do but occasionally he helps out with others as well, especially if he sees you might struggle / hate one.

a/n: for those wondering... no we didn't move in together yet because i'm still waiting for my vaccine... but once it's done we're ready<3 i'm a little bit nervous ngl but i'm so excited also dfgh

so i saw your tags on the post about lesson 69 *spoilers* and i have to agree, it feels like everything we went through with the characters it was for nothing? i mean, i understand Lucifer and Satan deserve a better “reconciliation” a proper talk and that but still, them having that horrible fight and MC not even questioning where is Satan sucks, all of them feel distant and tbh in my opinion the new characters have nothing to do with it! they had so little screen time to have a “bond” or any sort of relationship with MC, now it feels like un unnecessary drama, and ugh don’t make me talk about the Simeon thing

sorry for the rant but i feel like you get me ahshsh anyways what else you thought about the lesson?

Spoilers and rambling below:

It feels so gross. We spent so many seasons getting to know our already bloated cast of 11 guys + Luke (originally the seven brothers + sides). It already felt like no one was getting all the time they deserved, but I at least felt like growth was happening. Mammon basically took Luke as another brother, Satan and Lucifer went through 3 separate reconciliations, Beel secretly feels like a burden to his entire family, Belphie is legitimately traumatized by his time in the attic (as we learn from the boogeyman), Diavolo's childlike personality seems to derive from the fact that he was basically alone a lot as a child so he is finally dealing with that stage of development now even though he has to also be a ruler, Solomon is shady (affectionate), Simeon has LOST HIS POWERS.... and we are focused on the three new characters I wasn't really looking forward to in the first place.

Like... S4 forgot all about the characters we love. They forgot Beel's survivor's guilt and how that might play into seeing Raphael again, forgot Mammon is a person and not a punching bag (S3 was already getting on my nerves with the amount of pact abuse against him), they made Diavolo mindlessly chaotic again, they REFUSE to address Simeon and just keep teasing him rather than addressing him. Why are they acting like Raphael wasn't on the side that literally got their sister killed or that he used to literally chase Asmo around with spears????

They are so focused on trying to build up their new characters into ones people will simp for that they forgot to focus on the ones we already know. They've been reduced to tropes rather than remembering the other things that help make them up. The sides had to wait an entire year before they given any focus aside from being a supporting cast. These three? Focus on them immediately, I guess! I don't even like any of them outside of my Mephisto x Satan ship (and I actively hate Thirteen which... makes my little pansexual heart cry, but it is what it is).

MC has always been sort of more... passive to the story but it feels like it is getting worse. Before, it was just us playing along with the insanity and not questioning weird moments (for some reason I can't comfort Simeon after the boogeyman), but... MC used to be able to at least play at being defiant. They could say "no" to things, even if they were then forced into it. Now? MC just keeps agreeing. I don't want to abuse Mammon. I want to ask Simeon what's the matter.

And the field day level activities? How does this prove we're worthy to join the student council? I don't understand any of it.

And, of course, the events are as never ending as usual. I have actually joined the movement of cancelling my VIP after seeing this was ANOTHER Celestial Blessing. I cannot, in good faith, keep financially supporting a game that seems to be screwing the f2p player base IN ADDITION TO not caring about their base content.

I still love that characters I got, still am in the fandom, but I need Obey Me to do better. We waited so so so long for season 4... and for what? They aren't giving us the characters that we were literally ready to join the family of at the end of S3. These aren't the same people that followed us to the Human Realm in order to be with us. They are treating them all poorly, in fact. For a wait that long, I expected things to take off running and keep running.

I probably have other thoughts, but I am just saying what comes to mind at the moment. I just... ugg

EDIT: I forgot to mention how I think they are panicking because Twisted Wonderland is out now and the fanbases seem to overlap a lot. They are losing their players' intrest to the new shiny game and they are worried. They've been releasing lessons early since twst was launched.

Do better OM. We can love both, but you have to put in the effort.

omfg dude... i've got two eps left of lucifer s6. but so far i am already absolutely blown away at the writing?? maze and eve's relationship stuff and ella dealing with finally realising the truth?? RORY— can't wait to see how that plot line ends. amenadiel dealing with institutional racism as a cop is the most impactful arc to me rn, it's kinda strange that it took them this long to examine the issue again, but i'm glad that they pointed out so many levels to the issue when they finally did, and in such simple ways. those episodes were so good on their own didn't even feel like it was 'lucifer' necessarily? had me on the edge of my seat with the stomach sickening suspense of reiben fucking shit up ugh

this entire season was literally so goddamn satisfying in every sense of the word. like shows rarely go this all out for their final seasons and have it all be satisfying nd completely go with the flow of the show all in one go, and the Lucifer team managed to do it in spades.

amenadiel experiencing racial bias - especially within the police force where nobody really likes to bring it up - and the lady who was working with him? the lady cop? hearing her talk about how kids feared her and what she does just because of the uniform she wears because "the uniform took their mother away, or it took their brother away"........that all broke me ngl.

and honestly, i was wondering why they were keeping ella out of the loop for so damn long because she is an integral part and member of lucifer's entire story, and then they have her find out all the major plot points through reading linda's fanfiction first draft of her book 😂😂 it's fucking amazing. and of course they would bring her into everything now during probably the most unexpected arc of the show's whole run, which i find really cool.

and every single fucking character gets their own happy ending/gets what they want in the end.

lucifer finally realizes that he can actually, definitively help people but not by doing what everyone else says that he should do.....but by doing it in his own way.

amenadiel gets to ascend to god's throne like he said he wanted to back in season four/five (i believe???? i know he said he wanted to, i just forgot where lol)

linda and charlie are happier than ever and charlie's wings came in!!!!

maze and eve worked through their relationship and trust issues to finally see the other as they truly were, and are now kicking ass and taking names together.

ella gets to help other girls go into STEM fields and become just like her - an inspiration to their communities - and she's getting closer to dan's friend in the process.

speaking of dan, he finally gets to be in heaven - AS HE FUCKIN SHOULD - and finally, finally gets to be with charlotte.

rory finally understands why lucifer was gone for her whole life, and relinquishes the hatred that she had for him.

and for chloe......despite the hardship that's gonna come with raising rory without telling her why lucifer had left them, she knows that it's for the best cause in this life and the next. and when she finally passes, she gets to be with him for the rest of however long, solving problems as the partners they were born to be.

i've never been this satisfied with a show's series finale because it's just so damn good. everything gets resolved, everyone gets what they want, everyone's satisfied.

this show is a goddamn masterpiece.
