Yesterday my parents were listening to the news and this woman was being interviewed about immigrants or smth I guess and she goes “well the wall at the boarder wasn’t finished, how else are they all getting in???” To which I said “ain’t she aware that Mexicans are also mole people and we know how to tunnel underground” which is a funny haha joke at this dumbass’ stupidity but I know if I worded that just right and posted it on Facebook people like my older sister would believe it and start spreading it around as fact-

Keep seeing people confused by Agatha letting the world believe she traded her son instead of telling the truth, but…kinda tracks, tbh. Not for the rational mind, of course. Not if you’re looking at it clearly.

Which Agatha isn’t.

Fuck no! What is she, common?? She goes on a power bender! Even though the kid she prized in her heart of hearts seemed less than into that very thing! Even though that kid may have been able, given enough time, to convince her to stop! So now, not only did she fail him, but she also opted to speed race down Murder Road! For power! That she still won’t ever be able to use to get him back!

It gets muddled, after decades and centuries of this feeling. It grows teeth. In a way, she did trade him for power. In a way, she’ll always have that sitting on her chest. Never mind that it’s not true. Never mind that she wasn’t a bad mother at all (in this respect, anyway). Never mind that he was sick, and this was always coming. For Agatha, who has been stewing on this story she’s been telling herself for centuries, it is what happened. She traded her son. She did the unforgivable. She fell asleep.

Not to be that person, but if Kamala Harris were a white man with the exact same ideals, positions, and beliefs, it wouldn’t have even been a competition. Realising that the worst thing you can apparently be is a woman, is truly devastating.

it makes me so frustrated when people online love to go on rants about how the paparazzi shouldn’t be a thing because they’re so invasive and they literally get payed to stalk and harass celebrities, but then the second a celebrity like chappell roan has the guts to stand up for herself against them, suddenly she’s being tacky and too sensitive. idk maybe it’s time for some of yall to reflect on why it makes you so upset when a celebrity demands respect and doesn’t lie down and take verbal abuse from entitled paps and other invasive people. perhaps some of yall who preach about respecting celebs because they’re people too have started to show that you as well see celebrities more as objects than as real people with feelings.

i’m sorry, just, do you know how many little kids have gained a good role model to look up to with chappell? she’s showing young people that it doesn’t matter what you’re supposed to do, it’s okay to set boundaries if you feel uncomfortable. if you don’t want to hug and get a big wet kiss from your overly-affectionate aunt who you only see once a year, it’s okay to say no. if you are being shouted at by a random man who you’ve never met at a random work event, fucking shout back. or better yet, have a calm conversation with that man at a later event and set your boundaries. i think it’s incredibly odd to judge somebody for knowing their own self worth.

k sorry i’m legitimately so insane about pei ming and shi qingxuan though. pei ming as someone who’s not just a womanizer but someone responsible and dear enough to shi wudu for That Man to essentially appoint him as qingxuan’s guardian should anything happen to him… for pei ming to take that responsibility on whole-heartedly, trying to protect shi qingxuan and keep them out of trouble and lead them on the right path even from the very beginning of the story… he’s trying to keep her out of the whole mess with pei su he’s trying to make sure that she does what she needs to do to survive in heaven (she has never learned that one needs to be cruel and unjust to advance because her brother has done all the unjust cruelty for her) he’s trying to make sure that he fulfills that trust that was placed in him and that’s all before there’s even a hint of anything that would incapacitate shi wudu. and sqx sees this and she must know at least some of it but she hates him. just doesn’t like his personality. i am out of my fucking miiiind
