I’ll never understand why He Xuan had to go through with his elaborate revenge plot against Shi Wudu the way he did. He already had the perfect revenge set up. Murdering Shi Wudu might have brought He Xuan momentary satisfaction, but seducing the man’s precious little brother and rubbing the relationship in the water tyrants face every single day is eternal.

Soooo ... I just read the Black Water Arc for the first time (bc I'm slow and read a hundred books at the same time)

I. Am. Broken.

I have flipped through the rest of the book and I haven't caught Shi Quingxuan's name ONCE!!! Is the subject dropped just like that?! How am I supposed to move on?! WHERE IS MY BABY?!!!

I don't get how He Xuan is still liked pretty well by a lot of people. Like, I know there's probably knowledge I don't have yet but still? I mean ... yes I would be pissed too in his place (understatement of the century) but how can Beefleaf be a ship after this?

Like, it's basically abuser x victim.

Yes, He Xuan went through unspeakable pain and his hatred is understandable. It explains things, it doesn't justify them. Also, he didn't just take revenge on Shi Wudu, he also tormented Shi Quingxuan, despite him not knowing about anything this whole time. He also lived by his side and acted to be his best friend, which allowed him to crush Quingxuan later on. That's monstrous. I can't even imagine the psychological horror inflicted on Quingxuan.

Is there something I didn't catch or don't know yet? You can spoil me idc. But like, I really don't get it how the fans call Beefleef 'tragic' when they really are just toxic.

Like the whole base of their relationship was a lie from the beginning. How can you recover from a betrayal like this?

Please, don't feel insulted by my opinion. Everyone is free to ship what they want, I don't give a fuck. I just don't get it. So ... enlighten me? Pls?

The thing about He Xuan changing his form when Shi Qingxuan asks is that, from what I can tell, he doesn’t seem to have changed his personality when pretending to be earth master. Like sure, he doesn’t show his outright hate for Wind Master when pretending to be a heavenly official, but he could have definitely gotten away with saying no to Shi Qingxuan’s demands.

This means that he wanted to please ridiculous friend.
