Obsessed about how they introduced Isaac’s aroace-ness in Heartstopper.

His actor (Toby Donovan) ACED (pun not intended) the confusion, the worry, the quiet, thoughtful moments of something is wrong.

It wasn’t ‘You’re a dick for rejecting this guy’ it wasn’t ‘something is wrong with you’ it wasn’t even ‘I don’t give a shit.’

BECAUSE HE DID. He did want to understand how people feel these things. He was confused because he had spent so much time reading about romance only to not experience any of what was described.

And that is so me. His entire storyline is so me that I found myself skipping over the parts with everyone else simply because I couldn’t wait to see more of him.

It’s even better that aroace-ness was first introduced by how society puts emphasis on romance and sex. BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT IS. It is about the lack of attraction in a world full of it and it is harder to accept yourself when everyone else experiences something you don’t and I love how that was mentioned. (Also Isaac aced that scene. The look of realisation was amazing)

This is PERFECT representation.
