Hey!! I'm so glad to hear from you again, I hope you've been enjoying the game! <3
*Me, who damn well knows how to play Pitty, playing the tutorial just so I can admire Deacon*
ALSO I TOTALLY RELATE, MY FELLOW ROBO-ENJOYER! Deacon being shown in the tutorial opened my eyes to many things. It feels like a sin to skip it. Whenever I make a new character, I *always* play through it again just to hear/see Deacon. When I made my musket, I actually went through and got some reference screenshots of The Erebus to understand Deacon's ship a bit more!
#ask#anonymous#pirate101 deacon#armada ships are SO PRETTY#especially on the inside!#can we get one someday? pretty please ki?

Coping by wiping out all Stancy road trip fantasy grossness and replacing it with Harringrove.
***
Billy still can’t believe that he’s dating Steve Harrington. Although can it really be called dating if you’ve been confined to a hospital bed for your entire relationship? Billy supposes so. If you count sharing a pudding cup and watching game shows as a date. Which he does. He has to, because who knows when they’ll let him out of this place? He has to take what he can get.
Of all the insanity he’s had to take in and digest since his return, Steve telling Billy that he always had feelings for him should be a small thing, but it continues to rock his world and bring a smile to his face, even two months later.
As Bob Barker tells a contestant to come on down on the screen, Billy pulls back from a chocolate flavoured kiss, a pleased little smile dancing on his lips. If he could walk, there would be a skip in his step.
“Wish you’d get up on here with me,” Billy says, taking Steve’s hand and giving it a squeeze. “We could both fit if we laid real close.”
“You know…” Steve starts, before Billy cuts him off.
“I know, I know, you don’t want to fuck with any of the wires or anything.” He’s heard Steve recite that line a million times, but it never stops him from trying to get the other boy up there to cuddle. Sue him if he wants Steve Harrington’s surprisingly muscled arms wrapped around him. He glares at the medical devices that are still hooked up to him, and will be for the foreseeable future.
Steve laughs. “Gotta get you good and healthy so I can finally take you out for more than green jello and Match Game reruns, baby.”
Baby. Billy doesn’t think he’ll ever tire of hearing Steve call him that. They sit in companionable silence for a moment, their clasped hands swinging between them, watching a contestant guess the price of a living room set, before Billy gets chatty again.
“When did you first realize you’d fallen hopelessly in love with me, pretty boy? When I died a hero’s death to save your asses?”
“No,” Steve replies, giving him that sappy look he’s so good at. The one that makes Billy feel like a hand has stuck itself in his chest and is squeezing his heart. “Way before that.”
“When?” Billy asks, curious.
“I used to have this fantasy,” Steve starts.
Billy smirks. “I’ve had plenty of fantasies about you too, Princess.”
Steve smacks him, lightly. “Not fantasies like that, you horndog. Although I’ve had plenty of those. But no, I used to picture me and Nancy, in an RV, flying down the highway, ready to see New England, our six kids in the back.”
Billy frowns. “Not in the mood to hear about your ex, Harrington.” She and Steve have been broken up for almost two years, and Steve has assured him time and time again that there’s nothing there, but he still can’t help the little twinge of jealously he feels when Steve mentions her.
“Wait,” Steve says, holding up a hand. “This is going somewhere. So, I used to fantasize about that all the time. I could picture so clearly my future with her. But then you showed up, and suddenly I couldn’t picture her so clearly anymore. The image got fuzzier and fuzzier, and I started to find that what I was picturing was changing. Where she’d always been next to me, singing along to The Partridge Family, was a curly haired blonde with sparkling blue eyes, arguing with me over directions and constantly changing the radio station while the kids and I complained about how loud the volume was. And I wasn’t headed east anymore. I was headed to California. The new fantasy was so much clearer. You taught the kids and I to surf once we got there, and we were all tanned and golden and happy. So happy. No matter what I did, I couldn’t see anyone but you next to me anymore. That’s how I knew. Knew I’d fallen hopelessly in love with you.”
Billy grins. “You want me to take you to California, baby? I’ll take you to California. As soon as I’m free, I’ll take you there. And someday, we’ll get that RV and we’ll take the kids on the same route, and we’ll make that dream come true.” He brings their clasped hands to his lips and holds them there for a minute as images fill his head of their future together. An endless highway, him and Steve together, forever, sunshine on their shoulders and love in their hearts.

Iris, I like your Miya Twins hc! Please write more!
Hello, Anon! Thank you so much, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the HC I made. I hope that you enjoy this one, too. I thought I'd write about how they met/fell in love with you. 💕
Title: Falling in love (with the Miya Twins)
Word count: 1,816
Genre: Fluff
Disclaimer: I don't own Haikyuu!! nor its characters, but the HC below is my idea.
You and Atsumu had been classmates since middle school, and you, fortunately (or unfortunately) always end up sitting next to each other at some point during the school year.
He knew that puberty wasn't kind to you - what with having bad breakouts, and excess pounds. He also knew that you had a thing for him back then - stealing glances when you thought he wasn't aware, sneaking into the gym a few days a week to watch him practice, and bringing extra pens for him because you knew he was bound to forget his own.
Since there were very limited choices of schools in your district, he knew you'd end up studying in Inarizaki, and he was open to the fact that you'd end up being classmates again. BUT - what he didn't know was that you were starting to bloom into a young lady and that you've shed some weight since he last saw you.
While he didn't exactly fall in love with you the moment he laid his eyes on 'High school you', he was enchanted - quite so that he often caught himself stealing glances at you and asking himself, "did she always have rosy cheeks" or "why hadn't I noticed how deep her dimples are", and he'd immediately look elsewhere when he knows you'd notice him watching.
Since you no longer seemed interested in following him around, nor did you seem to find the idea of watching volleyball practices remotely amusing, he thought he ought to let you know that he was even more amazing now than in middle school. He would talk louder when you were around (even if what he says doesn't make sense). "Samu, yer wonderful older brother is here to lend you a hand," he once called out to his younger twin when he knew that you spotted his twin in the hall with an armload of books. "Huh? Our parents have a child other than the two of us," the quieter twin gasped. "Shut yer trap and give me that!"
He started leaving notes in your locker, too. He'd try his hardest to copy Osamu's penmanship and write the lyrics of a song he heard that made him think of you, or a cheesy love quote he found in Kita's Literature textbook, or sometimes, he'd write something random like, 'your pen writes so smoothly', or 'oversized jackets don't look good on you', and 'your notes are the neatest I've ever borrowed'.
He knew you read the notes, but you just didn't give off the reaction he was hoping for… or any reaction for that matter (you were pretty hard to read, and it was driving him crazy. Lol!)
A day before the Volleyball Team left for the Nationals, he left another note on your locker that read, 'I like you and I want to get to know you better, but if you're not interested, it's cool. If only middle school me paid more attention to middle school you, then maybe High School us would've been a thing.'
He thinks about you when he's not busy with practice, and when he gets a wee bit anxious about their upcoming game (because believe me, he does get nervous about it), he thinks about the possibility of you showing up in his games and he gets all fired up.
He saw you cheering with your friends in the bleachers, during the championship match against Itachiyama. He knew he had to work harder because he wanted you to see how cool he was. He played his best - serving, setting, and blocking the ball perfectly every single time. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on their side, and they lost by a few points. No one in the team was more crushed about the outcome than he was, and he stayed in the locker room a little while longer after everyone had left.
"Miya-san!" You were the first person who greeted him as soon as he stepped out of the locker. His eyes widened and he didn't react for a few seconds because he couldn't believe you were standing in front of him. Clearing your throat, you gave him a shy smile and said, "you were amazing! I think you did even better than when we were in middle school."
He continued to stare at you, which made you even more nervous. "A-anyway, I wanted to say I thought you were the best player out there - win or lose. And… and.. If you ever need to borrow my notes, I could pass them on to you when you get back to school." You shifted your weight awkwardly from one foot to another, thinking you must've looked like an idiot in front of him because he was just staring at you like so. "That's all I wanted to say," you said awkwardly, "that, and I know it was you leaving the notes in my locker. I thought you should know that I also like you, and I want to get to know you, Miya-san."
"Atsumu," he finally said, cutting you off, and took a step closer. You felt something warm over your shoulders and suddenly, you were engulfed by his scent radiating from his jacket. "If you want to get to know me, you can start by calling me Atsumu."
"Atsumu," you smiled back, holding his jacket closer to you. "But I thought you said oversized jackets don't suit me."
"Yeah, but mine looks perfect on you," he shrugged before offering his arm out to you. "Well, shall we go get to know each other then? I don't know about you, but I feel so bad I could use some comforting and a nice big serving of Chūtoro." And with that began your love story, and the rest, as they say, was history.
Osamu and you go way back. The Miyas lived next door so you practically grew up with the twins.
Since you were the same age, you used to play with them when you were younger. Of the two boys, you got along with Osamu better and you shared a lot of secrets - including a secret hideout, secret handshake, and secret codes. He knew everything about you, including - much to his dismay - the huge crush you had on his twin.
You love playing board games with Osamu and would happily come to their house so you could beat his ass in a game of Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk, and Clue. You were usually so good at this, except when you spot an Atsumu sighting nearby and lose your composure. Osamu would tease you, of course, but little did you know how much he despised it - especially since his twin also thought you were cute. This carried on until you went to high school.
He completely lost it one weekend. When you and Aran came over to play Guesstures with him, Atsumu decided to join and insisted that the two of you team up. Osamu rolled his eyes, and hoped you'd pick up on his mood, but you were currently on cloud nine.
Thirty minutes, ten cards, and a dozen googly eyes (between you and Atsumu) later, Osamu declared he was done playing and stormed off. Clueless as ever, you looked at Atsumu and Aran to help you understand what was happening, and the two guys just shook their heads in silence.
You were sorely mistaken for thinking that he would be over his upset when Monday rolled in. He avoided you like the plague the moment you both set foot outside the gates of your houses. "Samu," you called and jogged up to him, but he didn't stop or slow down. "I'm in a hurry today, I'm on class duty," he said coolly, without sparing you a glance. And all you could do was watch your gray-haired best friend disappear into the distance.
He didn't bother waiting for you during breaks and lunchtime and talking to him after class was a lost cause due to his volleyball practice. You initially thought giving him space would help, but two weeks had passed, and you were desperately missing his company, so you sought the help of the only other person you could think of at the moment.
After stalking him for most of the day, Aran finally agreed to help. He called Osamu so that the two of you could talk, but your best friend was too stubborn to care. Little did you know that after you left, Atsumu and Aran confronted him for acting like a jerk.
"The hell was that about, Samu?" Atsumu called out, just as his twin was about to walk back to the court. "It's none of yer business, Tsumu," he replied nonchalantly. "Sure it is! You like her, don't you? Why don't you just tell her instead of treating her that way?" The older twin said, forcefully grabbing Osamu's arm. "Because she doesn't like me -," Osamu replied harshly. "Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about that," Aran said, as he patted Osamu's shoulder and walked back to the court.
He tossed and turned in bed that evening, thinking of what Aran had said. Grabbing his phone, he went through all your messages from year's back, across all the different messaging channels - he went as far back as the time you confessed you liked Atsumu, and the entire year you only wanted to talk about his popular twin. And then he noticed how you stopped mentioning Atsumu at one point and started asking how his day went or if he's eaten. He saw the food pictures you'd sent from your trips with your family, and how you wished you could eat those with him someday.
And then it hit him - you wanted to be with HIM - not Atsumu."I'm such a fucking jerk!" He groaned.
He was waiting at your gate bright and early the next morning. He hadn't slept much nor thought about what to say to you, all he knew was that he had to see you. As he thought about what to say, he heard your front door open. "Samu-san?" He straightened up at the sound of your voice and saw you looking genuinely confused. "Y/N-chan, I… I…," he started to say as you hurriedly opened the gate to stand in front of him.
"I like you, Y/N-chan, and I was jealous of my idiot brother." Your eyes widened in surprise at his admission. "So, I'm sorry I acted like a jerk, but I hope you could -you know…," he trailed off, blushing furiously. "Did you want me to forgive you or go out with you? Because I could do both," you said, as you grabbed his hand and looked into his dark eyes. "You… you do?" The shocked look on his face made you chuckle, and you tiptoed to plant a kiss on your boyfriend's cheek.
The end.

So this is going to be my attempt to summarize the newest episodes of the ghost marriage event (episode 14 to 24) of twisted wonderland. Part 1
Again, spoiler alert since I’m about to write out everything that happened, and I apologize for my grammar in advance.
You asked Ruggie if he would help -> he refused since Leona can just come back himself and he refuse to work for nothing -> you asked Jamil -> He refused, and he don’t allow Kalim to go either, if something happened to Kalim his whole family would be in danger -> you asked Silver -> He can’t go since he have to guard Malleus -> in the end, the ones volunteered to help are Rook, Epel, and Riddle -> Riddle helped because rule number 703 “the 2nd place in croquet has to make tea for the queen in the next day” -> Cater was the 2nd place from yesterday’s game -> so Riddle has to rescue him before today ends -> after a few “it’s fine we don’t need a useless coward” from Riddle, Ace decided to help too -> to perfect the plan, they went to Sam’s shop and got suits and bouquet -> both are enchanted by magic to help them
3 hours left till wedding -> Epel was late -> he showed up while riding a white horse so he looks more prince like -> the ghost ask them to say their proposal to show their seriousness -> Epel is up first
Epel: I will… definitely make the bride happy.
Epel: because I am the prince charming who will always rescue my beloved, no matter where they are! I will never give up no matter what kind of difficulties I face along the way. I will protect you from all harms. I shall be, the prince that matches the princess! Please, marry me!
-> next up is Ace
Ace: if you married me, everyday will be a happy day.
Ace: since we will be together forever, arguments might be unavoidable… but I will always be the person to apologize first. I will be with you for the worse or poorer times, and always put a smile on your face.
Ace: I will the prince that matches the princess, so…
Ace: don’t look the other way. Marry me please!
->next up is Riddle
Riddle: I will swear my loyalty, I promise for a future where I never harm or doubt you for any seconds.
Riddle: if it is for my beloved, I will do anything this body can do.
Riddle: so please… won’t you pick me as your spouse?
->next up is Rook
Rook: ---- beautiful you. Please make me your slave of love forever.
Rook: to think you are trapped in loneliness for hundreds of years, I want to give a poem to you.
Rook: ah! the princess of tragedy! I want to warm your cold cheek.
For how long have you drown in tears.
Those eyes, are blinded by it and weren’t even able to see happiness.
I will gentle cover it with my palm. Now you should be able to see it, yes, this is true love.
I shall light the lantern of hope, inside those lapis colored eyes.
->Ace commented how he felt embarrassed just by listen to it -> Riddle realized that connect the first word of every line you will get “I love you” (in original Japanese text) -> Grim commented how everyone in Pomefiore are pretty weird -> Epel “d,don’t lump me together with that!”
Rook is about to start another poem but the ghost said it’s enough -> but then he commented how they are still kind of short ->
Riddle got really upset, he used his unique magic and then burned the ghost up ->but it attracted other ghosts’ attention and they started to attack them -> Epel let the horse back so it won’t get injured -> so they decided to just run into the wedding hall instead -> in hallway, they were attacked by many ghosts, so Riddle decided to stay behind to stall the ghosts
In wedding hall -> Idia “ ‘Idia used fled’ ‘it’s not effective since he’s stunned’ …some healer please help! I do not have debuff clear skill!” -> a ghost runs in and said some people are trying to forcibly enter -> Jack “in the end they used brute force after all!” -> Azul “who said the plan was to steal the bride’s heart in the beginning again?” -> Cater “I bet 1 bread, that Riddle is the one that got upset first.” -> Floyd “aha, I can see that—then I’ll bet 2 bread on the same side~” -> Jade “that won’t be a bet anymore.” -> Cater “that’s true~!” -> everyone “hahahahaha.” -> Idia “my life is on the line and you can still laugh and talk?!” -> the ghost swear they won’t let intruders to ruin the wedding after princess wished for it for so long.
On stairway -> more ghosts showed up, and Rook decided to stay behind this time -> Ace is worried -> Epel told him to look at Rook’s expression ->
Rook “I’ve always been wondering how you can hunt ghosts! They don’t seem to have a body, so maybe I can freeze them with magic? Or are they more like fog? Can I put them in a bottle? Ah my hunter blood is boiling for those unknown preys…!” -> ghosts “s… stay away from me!” -> Ace “…he looks like he’s having fun.” ->
In wedding ceremony -> the ghosts started the wedding vow, but they are so touched that they started crying -> Deuce “we need to stop this somehow!” -> Sebek “but we still can’t move our body!” -> Floyd “I’m tired.” -> Floyd “we can go home if she kissed firefly squid senpai right? Hurry up and do it~~” -> Lilia “he’s right, my back hurts after stand in same position for so long. Just hurry up and give her a smooch.” -> Sebek “Lilia sama has said it! Hurry up and give her the ‘smooch’!” -> Idia “smooch! …If I did that I will die! Are you all demons? Do you not have a human heart? Is this an exhibition for ruthlessness??!?!??”
Outside -> many ghosts showed in front of Ace Epel again -> Epel stepped up -> but the ghosts aren’t attacking him -> ghost “you are the neighboring country’s princess right? Are you here to attend the wedding?” -> ghost “oh princess, please stay away from that violent intruder! Hurry up and come here…” -> Epel “who…”
Epel “WHO ARE YOU CALLING A PRINCESS--------!!!!!” -> Epel stayed behind to fight the ghosts
In wedding ceremony -> everyone “kiss! Ki--------ss!!” -> Idia “STOP THE CALLING!!!” -> Lilia “we can’t move anything but our mouth, can’t really do anything and we are bored.” -> Eliza(the ghost princess) “ah, it’s almost midnight… the time for the kiss! After that, I will be forever with Idia in the land of the dead. I, could finally be happy…!” -> “WAIT A SECOND----------!!!!” -> it was Ace -> many ghosts started to attack him and ask the princess to kiss Idia now to finish the wedding -> Idia refuse -> Ace “look at Idia. He hated it so much and is moving every muscle on his face to avoid it. You guys all know your princess made a mistake right!” ->
ghosts “…it was all for the princess. She was so kind and bright, every citizen wishes her the best future, but… suddenly the neighboring country attacked, and everything is gone in one night. We weren’t able to protect her, but the princess never blamed us and she’s always smiling and saying ‘it’s fine. Don’t worry about it. It’s fine. I’m sure someday…’, but there’s no way that she’s fine! Waiting for a prince for 500 years, I can’t imagine how many times have she despaired. We just want to grant 1 single wish of our favorite princess. Our… most important, poor, princess.” -> (player choice: “but you are only increasing the number of poor people.” / “but it’s not good to bother other people.”) -> Ace “haha! MC is right. Besides, there’s no way princess’s ‘perfect prince’ exist. All of you ghosts are just feeding her false hope and made her look for someone that don’t exist for 500 years. I feel like I’ve seen this situation before but… if you feel so bad for her and treat her like glass, that is not consideration at all! You are just having fun while avoid to facing her!” -> Trey “that kind of hurts…” -> Cater “ahaha-…” -> Ace “teach the princess properly! Most important thing about the groom isn’t the look.” -> Eliza “then… how am I supposed to pick the prince beside the look?” -> Ace “I told you, don’t think ‘prince’ as a must. The perfect spouse should be…”
Ace “The person you want to cry and laugh together, the person you want to be together no matter the hard time … someone like that. Don’t make me say something so embarrassing!”
Ace “no one around teaches her something as simple as that? even though you have been with her for 500 years… you basically did nothing for her!” -> Riddle, Rook, and Epel finally showed up. -> Deuce “dorm leader, you are here to save us right! Thank you so…” -> Riddle “Cater! What time is it!?” -> Cater “eh? Emm… the clock said it’s 23:35.” -> Riddle “there’s no time… we have to defeat the ghosts now!” -> Cater “what? What was that?” -> the ghosts are hesitating -> Rook “there’s still time to change now, you don’t want your most important madame angel to become a bad ghost that killed someone right?” -> Eliza “bad ghost? …is he talking about me? I didn’t want to become a bad ghost… I just…!” -> Chubby (one of the ghost) “there’s no need to listen. Princess. You did nothing wrong.” -> Eliza “Chubby…” -> Epel “do you still not understand your own mistakes!?” -> Chubby “mistakes, whatever, I don’t mind. I just want to make the princess happy no matter what. That is my regret… and my wish!” -> Chubby started gained more power -> Rook “this is bad, everyone, get to somewhere safe!” -> Vil “didn’t I told you that we can’t move.” -> Rook “ah that’s right, then… Epel! MC! Roll everyone away like a log!” -> Epel “understood!” -> rolling time -> fighting time
Chubby is defeated, and everyone is planning to put the ring of extinction on Eliza -> Ace “now, what’s your last word? You can say farewell to your beloved Idia…” ->
the princess runs to Chubby -> Eliza “Chubby… to think you would protect me from bad guys, and become injured like this…” -> Ace “bad guys? …is she talking about us!?” -> Chubby “princess, there’s no need to be sad. It’s my happiness to see your smile…” -> Chubby starts to disappear -> Eliza “no… no, please don’t go! I was able to chase my dreams because of your kind encouragement. I need you! Ah… that’s right. I finally understand it now. My real prince is… Chubby, you!” -> Chubby “Princess… Eliza. Me too, I’ve always adored you ever since I was alive.” -> Eliza “Chubby… I love you.” -> she gives him a kiss -> all of his injures are healed -> Eliza “it’s definitely the power of love!” -> Ace “eh…? What…? What is this? Am I the only one that’s not following this at all?” -> Riddle “no matter how you look we are the bad guy now…” -> Eliza apologized to Idia and announced she’s going to marry her real true love, Chubby -> Idia “why do I feel like I’m dumped even though I was never even confessed!?” -> everyone can move now -> Riddle and Cater runs back to dorm to make tea -> Ace “well, isn’t this great. We don’t need to force you to the other world.” -> Eliza “Yes, after this we are going to our honeymoon.” -> Ortho “it will finally be peaceful in here.” -> Idia “ah—this is too much. Honestly too much, I think I’m going to have ghostphobia.” -> Eliza “next year we will be back with a cute baby, I can’t wait!” -> everyone “don’t come back again--------!!!!”
The ghosts all disappeared
Crowley: today really was a tough day. But at least, the trouble is solve…
Rook: wait a second, headmaster.
Rook: isn’t here something else that is much more fitting for this story?
Crowley: that is true, ahem…
Crowley: the two lived happily ever after.
Honestly though this event is real fun, nice fan service in the middle with the proposal, and the interaction of everyone who got slapped and Idia is just way too funny. The little twist is also fun with princess and Chubby... honestly is his name actually chubby? I couldn’t believe it at first but that’s the only word I could think of that sounds like チャビー
Tbh I tried to change around Rook’s poem so it works in English but then I realized that I would have to start sentences with letters like v,e,u so small brain me decided to just translate it literally instead

The June Review
Dramas & Films I watched in June
The Romance of Tiger and Rose (2020) [9.5 out of 10]
I finally watched this so I could stop avoiding spoilers and tbh it did not disappoint. I finished this in about 2 days and I honestly don’t know what to do with myself now. I might have to start calling Lu Si the comedy queen because of the one heck of the performance she put on. I also loved the chemistry between the leads and by ep 10, it was so obvious the male lead was so in love with her, my heart just burst for them. The couple also reminded me of Donghua & Fengjiu in some instances bc Han Shuo is whipped for his woman just like Donghua is. Anyway... I might have to go rewatch this bc I feel empty inside now.
My Dear Lady (2020) [6.5 out of 10]
I watched this curiously because of the summary but it seems most of the plot happened towards the end of the drama and by the end it felt rushed. I also got bored often watching most of this but the acting was still good.
Kore Wa Keihi de Ochimasen! (2019) [8.5 out of 10]
I do truly enjoy watching some jdramas bc they’re just 10 episodes with no exaggerated or lengthy plot line and this was exactly it. It also had the subtle romance plot which doesn’t take the majority of the 10 eps which I quite enjoyed. And pretty much each ep came with a different story which I also loved with odd exception of the romance plot and the two last episodes.
Kleun Cheewit (2017) [7.5 out of 10]
This isn’t my first lakorn and it certainly won’t be my last either. The chemistry between the two leads were amazing. I’m not sure what else to say... felt like they dragged out some parts and some things were a little so-so but good drama.
Mystic Pop Up Bar (2020) [9.0 out of 10]
This is probably one of the best dramas I’ve watched this year, at first I wasn’t planning on watching it but I decided to give it a try and little did I know, I was going to be hooked two episodes in. I did mostly watch it for the back story (with the young actors) and I hope when they’re older they might consider doing another drama together. But I’m a sucker for tragedy & angst which I also try to avoid most of the time going into dramas (this is a very odd combo). The plot was great. A great drama, and I notice this also applies to books, when the audience guesses and already knows of the plot twists before they are revealed. It’s quite satisfying when all the pieces fall into place and that is exactly what happened. Mystic Pop Up Bar also kept it light-hearted bc you needed the humour after watching some of the angsty scenes, phew.
Someday or One Day (2019) [8.5 out of 10]
I guess you could say this is a murder mystery for most of the episodes. The twist and turns are quite unexpected and I quite enjoyed watching. Greg Hsu could have my heart any day of the week. (this list is getting longer and longer with each passing day)
Want More 19 (2018) [7.0 out of 10]
A short web drama. I mean... the main reason I was here was for Day6′s OST ‘Chocolate’ It’s a great song. Also an amazing band. Again, it’s just a breather in between long-winded dramas.
The Legend of White Snake (2019) [7.0 out of 10]
I know I said below another drama review that I had changed my ways and don’t skip through things now. Well... I skipped through this one mainly because I got fed up and bored, this consistently lasted through a whole chunk of eps. So I kind of skipped to the end... I didn’t miss much if I’m being honest and I wasn’t a fan of the ending.
Tokyo Tarareba Musume (2017) [8.5 out of 10]
I went through a phase of watching dramas but regretted not paying enough attention to them the first time I watched them, either by skipping through the episode or just missing out episodes in general. Now that I’ve changed my ways and want to fully appreciate dramas, no matter how good or bad, I decided to rewatch this. There’s nothing better than watching Sakaguchi Kentaro be an angsty af man. Anyway, I enjoyed this very much. Jdramas have a lovely charm about them by not being too long and don’t drag out the storyline either.
Good Casting (2020) [8.0 out of 10]
A better title for this show would be Chan Mi and her sidekicks... I wasn’t really a big fan of her character. She was literally everywhere & I think that’s where the plot falls... maybe I would have liked it more if we actually had a chance at seeing more of the other main characters. I think I was trying so hard to find a reason to like it but there wasn’t much to like about it. The premise of it sounded so appealing but again, it was just another drama that fell short.
When My Love Blooms (2020) [7.5 out of 10]
Let’s be real here... I was watching this for Park Jinyoung & Jeon So Nee, I don’t know about you all. Honestly... I felt like Jinyoung & Jeon So Nee’s storyline would have worked well in a standalone drama. That would be quite interesting to see. Anyway, great chemistry between those two as well. I can’t say much for the present day storyline, easiest way to put it, I didn’t like it. But I suppose it’s what I get for a melodrama with the added extra drama tag. (Note to self, stop watching melodramas)
My Woofy Poofy Love (2018) [8.0 out of 10]
It’s quite refreshing to watch short web dramas like this in between heavy dramas. You are angst free while watching fluffy web dramas. This was pure sweetness and very uplifting to watch, especially because I’ve been watching some heavy dramas recently.
Where Your Eyes Linger (2020) [10 out of 10] (BL)
I’ve never given out a 10 before, they’re rare, extremely rare. Perfect actors, perfect length of episodes, perfect storyline. I loved it. I loved the way it reeled you in the first couple of episodes, with the fluff and the humour, then it eased you in and gave you a taste of the angst to come before completely ripping your heart out. And they gave us a kiss! A KISS! It was one of the softest kisses ever. PLEASE GIVE US SEASON 2... Ahem. At the moment, it is one of the best dramas I have seen this year. (I’m going to have to compile a list at the end of year of the best dramas, aren’t I? There’s bound to be more than one, Mystic Pop Up Bar is heading for a Best Drama crown this year too) Anyway. Go watch it, it’s worth it.
The King: Eternal Monarch (2020) [7.5 out of 10]
Okay, if you follow me, you’ll know I was watching this for Woo Do Hwan and also Kim Kyung Name (you might have not known that one) and the queen Kim Go Eun. I mean it’s definitely not the best drama I’ve seen all year, it’s only June, there’s plenty of time for another drama to come out and impress everyone. But with this one... there was nothing really keeping me there except those three. My interest did peak around the middle episodes but died down quickly after. I wasn’t in love with Kim Go Eun/Lee Min Ho pairing but that’s just me, certain episodes they clicked with me and others they didn’t. I wanted more out of that final ep but I don’t at the same time. I wanted to see more of everyone’s life instead of the brief snippets we got, not to be biased but I wanted more to see more of Jo Yeong. I guess you take what you can get... we were teased with so much, the excellent cast, the hype for it and having a well known writer behind it but having watched it, it was a big let down, for me at least.
Born Again (2020) [7.0 out of 10]
For an overall mystery/crime/fantasy/melodrama drama (If we can call it that) it wasn’t that bad... if we exclude the horror of the romance plot. The writer glorified what Jang Ki Yong’s characters did and that was not okay, he clearly needed help. Main Female lead ended up with the wrong guy. Lee Soo Hyuk deserves better. The stylist and him need a raise for his outfits during the later episodes when his past self takes over his current body because hot damn he was pulling that off better than any other character I’ve seen in a suit.
My Holo Love (2020) [8.0 out of 10]
I loved the beginning of the drama but my interest died down after the plot was revealed (an evil man wanting the AI)... but I did however love the last scene of the series, that was a nice way to end it.
Novoland: The Castle In the Sky (2016) [7.5 out of 10]
I just struggled to get into the storyline, I’m not sure whether to go back and watch the “happy ending” (ep 29) because I was fine with how they ended things.
Maybe, Maybe Not (2019) [8.0 out of 10]
This a web drama, sweet and short ^.^
Long Time No See (2017) (BL) [8.5 out of 10]
This is just a short little drama, I loved the chemistry between the leads and it was very action packed for the few episodes it had.
Snow Flower (2019) [Movie] [7.0 out of 10]
There is just something about Japanese movies... and sometimes dramas. It’s hard to explain, where they can be the most melancholic and beautifully filmed thing. It’s the odd feeling I get when I’m drinking coffee and it’s raining outside and I’m just overwhelmed and feeling nostalgic. Have you ever watched a film where you thought it was good, not extremely good, just good and not really have any qualms with it. This was the movie. Setting itself to be a sad movie with it’s summary surrounding terminal illness, but it’s hardly reflected upon. It focuses more on the romantic side of things which I didn’t mind. If you’ve got 2 hours to kill then it might be worth the watch.
Secretly, Greatly (2013) [Movie] [8.0 out of 10]
Worth a watch. It’s a good spy action movie with the comedy elements added into it as well.

FC5 GFH Tag!
@sharky-broshaw and @shellibisshe were lovely enough to tag me to see what my Dep would say as a formal FC5 Gun For Hire, and after spending most of the day thinking this over instead of writing, I think I’ve mostly nailed her down! ;)
Deputy Hana Vao
With Fangs for Hire
Boomer: “Whoa there, buddy! Aren’t you a sweetheart? God, I...I really wish Rae-Rae were here to say hi to you too, and see how good of a boy you’re being.”
Peaches: “I’m a cat person. I’m not a hundred percent sure it extends to being a big cat person, but I’m willing to try.” / *in a ridiculous voice while sneaking through the brush* “Who’s an adorable murder machine, yes, you are!”
Cheeseburger: “Whoever decided it’d be entirely possible and plausible for me to spend my free time hanging out with a bear, I’d like to give the biggest high-five to, because this? This is really fucking awesome.” / “I’ve always wondered if I’d have the chance to meet a local celebrity, and now I’ve met two! What are the odds of that?”
With other Guns for Hire
Sharky
*after inviting him* “Oh, now it’s a party.”
“So, apparently karaoke night at the Spread Eagle used to be a thing. You’ve been holding out on me! *both start trading stories about signature songs they used to pick, until they both settle on one and start singing along to it* *some of it’s good, most of it isn’t*
*after a fight* “That was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Do it again.” / “Hey, Shark? How about you dial it back a little next time? It kind of got a little too close for comfort there.”
“You know what they say about any big bads, right?” *along with Sharky* “If it bleeds, we can kill it! *laughs* God, you’re the best.”
Grace
“Hey, Grace? I know you mentioned last time that I really need to work on the whole sneaking, and being quiet, and-” “Not throwing a block of C4 at every problem you see?” “...Shit. I knew I might’ve forgotten something. Let me get back to you on that.”
“Grace? If I offered you twenty dollars to shoot [a hat off of a scarecrow, a can off of a fence, the helmet off of a Peggie, etc]. Would you do it?” *Grace asks if she’s that willing to go broke* “Maybe. I still think that would be pretty cool to see.”
Hurk
*calls Hana Ms. V* “Hurk! I thought we agreed not to go with that one!” *he throws out a slew of nicknames each one more absurd than the last* “...Um, okay. Maybe that one’s not so bad after all.”
“Hey, I have to ask. What’s with the chimps?”
*calls Hana Depu-Vee and pretends to relay a top-secret message* Hurk, hon. We’re face to face. I’m looking right at you. We don’t need codenames right now.
Adelaide
“I...that’s definitely a description I never thought I’d ever hear. Or visualize.”
“Okay, so I’m only going to say this once, but...” *speaks at a mile a minute* “Fuck John, Marry Faith, and Kill Jacob, and there’s nothing left for Joseph, so just fuck him in general. Done and done.”
Nick
“I swear to God, if you ever ask me to fly Carmina again I’m going to crash her. Not on purpose, I’m just that damn bad at it, so please. I beg of you, don’t.”
“How’s Kim doing? If you two need anything at all, don’t hesitate to give me a call.”
Jess
“Jesus, you’re a hell of a shot. Shooting an apple off of someone’s head would probably be nothing, huh?” *Jess asks if she’s volunteering* “It’s not that you aren’t a badass, because you totally are, but you know how some ideas look fun at first pass, but are probably a disaster in the making? That? That would be one of them.”
In Combat
Seeing an enemy: “You got eyes on them?”
Sneaking:*snaps a twig* “Shit! ...Um, shit. Sorry.”
Killing an enemy: "Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!” / *if you score the hit* “Holy shit, that was a shot!”
Reviving: “It’s okay, I’ve got you. I’ve got you.” / “Hold on! Can’t have you dying on me now.”
Hurt: “Ow, motherfucker!” / “Jesus, walk it off. Just walk it off.” / *flamethrower, or Sharky* Shit! Nearly singed my hair...
Downed: “Really, really pissed that they made me bleed my own blood here.” / “Keep moving! Don’t worry about me! *pained sound* “Fuck!”
Driving
If asked to drive: “You sure? Well, buckle up and hold on tight. I promise I’ll try and be gentle.” / “God, this is really making me miss my bike.”
Reckless driving: “Jesus, now I know how Grace feels.” / “And here I thought you’d leave the stunt driving to old Clutch. I’m game if you are.”
Changing radio stations: *starts singing along if Barracuda’s playing* / *’if Oh John’ starts playing* “...Fucking asshole.” *sings an off-key, ‘bold and brave’ before making a sound of disgust*
Idle
“Hey, hon. How’re you holding up? Better than me, I hope, because I could really go for a cigarette. Might have to bum one off of Sharky the next time I see him.”
“You know, I’m not from around here. I’m from Detroit. Moved around a lot when I was young, so I don’t remember it well to begin with, but my mom took a lot of photos of it. Kept them all in a photo album for me to look at when I was older, and always told me we’d head back there someday to check them out again ourselves. ....Well, I’m about 95 percent certain that when the cult burned my apartment down, it might’ve taken that album with it. Pictures of those places. Of her. All of it up in smoke, just like that. So, here’s hoping there’ll be a Detroit left after all of this, depending on whether or not Joseph’s talking shit, or actually right. Because I’d really like to have a second chance to see all of that. And have a chance to honor her too.”
“I’m a city girl, so the silence out here is...it’s a little overwhelming. But I’d gladly take it over the sound of gunfire. This place is beautiful, and the kind of peaceful you don't really appreciate until it’s gone.”
Hard to believe I wouldn’t have ended up here at all if the Sheriff hadn’t taken a chance on me. He’ll say differently, but there’s a reason why Staci called me-calls me Rook, and why Joey always took the time to answer every single silly question I had. I didn’t have a whole lot of experience before heading here, and...they made it all worth the risk on my end too. Made me feel welcome when anyone else would’ve just shown me the door, and I’ll do damn near anything to get them back.
Location-Specific:
By any body of water: *voice pitched higher than normal* “Hey, you’re not-that’s looking pretty deep. Think I’ll um, hang close to the shore just in case.” *wanders around it, but never enters it*
At the Spread Eagle: *hanging close to either Mary May by the bar* *Mary May jokes about Hana spending more time talking to her than drinking* “Hey, I’m sparing you both the bad dancing and the bad flirting! Trust me, you don’t want to see either.” / *if by the jukebox in the back, can be found swaying to whatever’s playing*
After liberating the Radio Towers: “I really need to talk to Wheaty about getting Queen on the radio here, because we’re suffering from a real lack of that. Tell me you wouldn’t be ready and willing to kick all kinds of ass after listening to them for a bit.” / *near a Wolf Beacon while it’s blaring* “Jesus, Jacob really took a page out of every horror movie here, didn’t he? Note to self, stay far, far away from these at night.”
In the Henbane: “You want to trust your eyes. You also want to trust your ears, and every last bit of sense you’ve got, but here? You can't. And that honestly scares the shit out of me.” / “You see Faith too, don’t you? Right at the corner of your vision before you blink and she’s gone? Word of advice? Don’t approach her or talk to her. You’ll like what she has to say at first, but...not so much the wolverine taking a piece out of you afterwards.”
At Seed Ranch by the Boat Launch: *if present when Sharky drops the dingus line, she starts giggling until she snorts*
In Holland Valley: “Can you do me a favor? If you ever decide to do a little redecorating - like, say, make modifications to a giant, white three-letter sign up in the mountains - take me with you. Because pissing John off’s really what keeps me going, and lighting that ‘Yes’ sign up would be a thing of beauty.” / *later when John calls post-destruction she mouths, ‘Oh shit’ while 100% making this face:

I'd like to suggest Majin Buu for the character asks. He's a strange dude who stuck around longer then expected, so I'd imagine you have some mixed feelings on the character. I'd say any version of Buu applies, but thats up to you.
Give me a character and I will answer:
Why I like them: Those who know me, know that I am all about that post-Frieza era of DBZ. That’s why I want Hit to kill him again, because it did wonders for Z, and maybe it could improve Super II or whatever they end up calling it. I’ve already discussed why I love Cell, but for me, the Buu Saga was not much of a step down. I came out of the Cell Games wanting more, really craving an epilogue to show how everyone was getting along after Cell’s defeat. And the Buu Saga gave me exactly that.
The common criticism leveled against Buu is that he isn’t much on personality. He doesn’t have the charisma of a Frieza or Buu, but I think that works in his favor, since it gives the good guys more time to work out all their issues. A big part of the arc was about Goku and Vegeta getting on the same page, and it’s tough to make that happen when the bad guy has his own monologue. I think thats why you don’t see much of them together on Namek, or during the Androids crisis.
I’ve seen Team Four Star compare Super Buu’s absorption forms to sort of a carbon copy of Perfect Cell. I’m not sure I agree, but 1) I’m not sure that’s a bad thing, even if it’s true, and 2) If you don’t like Buuhan, don’t worry, because he doesn’t stay that way for very long. Majin Buu has lots of variety, is my point. No one’s going to love all of his different forms and appearances, but you’re probably going to find a few that appeal to you. I had trouble picking a header image for this, because it feels like it does a disservice to the character. He’s so many different things. He can be cute and cuddly, or vicious and terrifying, or sassy and rude.
I also like what he represents to the series as a whole. When he was first introduced, Buu was presented as this instant “game over” for the universe. If Babidi reawakens him, that’s it, we all lose. No one can stop him. But then he breaks out anyway, and the good guys still manage to rally. He proves too powerful to defeat, but Goku comes up with a plan, and the Supreme Kai comes up with a plan, and the Old Kai comes up with a plan, and finally Vegeta comes up with a plan, and all of them are premised on the idea that maybe we’re not so doomed after all. Maybe the Z-Fighters are strong enough to pull this off. And they do pull it off, and somehow turn Buu good in the process. There’s a very hopeful message in that.
Why I don’t: Not gonna lie, I find it somewhat uncomfy that Fat Buu survives the conflict and just... stays that way. I’m not talking about his appearance, mind you, I mean he still seems like the same guy who gouged out Dabura’s eyes, who creeped on that one lady, and seemed unable to stop eating.
Let me put it like this: When I first watched the episodes where Mr. Satan befriends Buu, I wasn’t entirely surprised, but what worried me was that he cooked food for Buu, and then he’d immediately demand another meal. The implication, for me anyway, was that maybe Buu couldn’t be reformed, and he would be compelled by an endless hunger to destroy everything in his sight, regardless of how he might have felt about it.
In hindsight, I think the “can’t-stop-eating” bit was just intended to set up the emergence of Evil Buu. Once he got that out of his system, he was fine, but it still bugged me, and even Vegeta was concerned about Buu making another Kid Buu someday. Because no one really understood what Buu was or how he worked, so who’s to say that he could truly shake off the ways of evil? Also, Fat Buu owes his existence to absorbing two of the ancient Supreme Kais, so it bothered me that they got everyone else de-absorbed but not them.
But, I can’t say that bothers me too much, since the final episodes of DBZ show that he lived peacefully with Mr. Satan for at least a decade. Even so, I wasn’t surprised to see Dragon Ball GT merge him with Uub. I think the urge to write him out of the story was pretty strong. Notice how Dragon Ball Super has Majin Buu, but they hardly ever use him. It makes you wonder.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): You know, I think I might go with the one where the Supreme Kai explains Buu’s backstory to the Old Kai. Pretty sure that one ends with Kid Buu blowing up the world, so it’s got a lot going for it.
Favorite season/movie: The Fusion Saga is kind of my go-to answer for the best of Buu, but after I rewatched everything last year, I think the Kid Buu Saga make be the better arc. It’s tough to decide.
Favorite line: When Goku and Vegeta power up on the Supreme Kai Planet to draw Buu’s attention, he senses their ki and grins, saying “Dum-dums!” like he’s so excited that they’re gonna try and fight him again. That’s in the dub, anyway, but I always liked that this was Kid Buu’s pet name for those two idiots.
Favorite outfit: I don’t think I have a preference, but it might have been nice to see more of this version:
OTP: I guess that female Buu he made so he could have children? Honestly, the less I have to think about Buu being romantic the better I like it.
Brotp: Gotta be Mr. Satan.
Head Canon: The Xenoverse games and Dragon Ball Online introduced this whole notion of Buu starting his own race of Majins on Earth. I’ve been trying to figure out how to work with that in my fanfic, and the main thing that sticks out in my mind is that Buu is the progenitor of that entire population, and I’m pretty sure he’d still be alive at any given time, so it intrigues me that a Majin OC I might come up with could just stroll on over to Buu’s house and say hello. But I’m not really sure what they’d talk about.
Unpopular opinion: Killing him off was one of the few smart moves GT made, and providing a means for the absorbed Supreme Kai’s to escape was one of the few smart moves Toyotaro made.
A wish: If they do another Tournament of Power, Buu should actually be in it. He can absorb Frieza and that way they can get around the cap on team members.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: If they do another big fight, for the love of crap, don’t just have him nap through it. I just realized he probably slept through the Broly movie too. Lazy bastard.
5 words to best describe them: That’s the tubby custard machine.
My nickname for them: “You r--” whoa ho-hoooo. Just kidding.

voicemail [ ao3 / ff.net ]
you have [5] new messages.
Wednesday, 6:19 p.m.
“Kurapika, hi! It’s Gon! I guess you’re not next to your phone right now, but that’s okay. I just wanted to tell you I kind of…dropped my phone in the lake, so I’m using Aunt Mito’s to call you! I didn’t want you to get worried if you tried my old number and didn’t get an answer. Oh hey, Killua’s here—hey, Ki—wagh—!”
[vague scuffling and cursing]
“Kurapika, hey. It’s Killua. Gon didn’t drop his phone in the lake. He threw it. Like an idiot.”
“Killua, let go of me!”
“He said the bugs we were using weren’t big enough to lure out the really awesome fish, so he used his phone as bait. Like an idiot.”
[more scuffling, a pained grunt, then Gon, breathless]
“It’s shaped like a beetle!”
“Yeah, dummy, but what kind of beetle just sinks to the bottom of the lake?”
[…]
“A heavy one.”
“Anyway, you have to call back at this number to explain to Gon why cell phones aren’t bait.”
[brief pause as Gon silently wrestles the phone back from Killua]
“And you have to tell Killua that he can’t get mad at me just because he was using my phone to play Fortnite.”
[Killua, quietly sobbing]
“I lost everything!”

Kurapika. It’s Leorio. You’re probably not getting these, but…I’ll try again. Last time, your inbox was full. So you must at least be emptying it. Would you check your texts from Cheadle? She’s getting, um. I guess…impatient is as good a word as any. And I know you don’t have to deal with the fallout of that, but I would really appreciate it.
[…]
Anyway. I…hope you’re listening to this. I guess I won’t know if you don’t. That’s…it’s probably better that way.

Hello, it’s Senritsu. I wanted to check in on you this morning. You didn’t seem quite yourself yesterday. Don’t worry. I don’t believe anyone else noticed. It’s only because I know how your heart sounds when…well.
[soft laughter]
Maybe that’s something you don’t really want to hear.
[…]
You have friends, still, Kurapika. Please do not forget that.

Kurapika! What the hell? September first, right?! I’ve been making excuses to Killua and Gon, but there’s only so much I can bullshit!
[…]
Damn, I could practically hear you contradicting me. See, this is why you need to get your ass over here, because if I start hearing you in my head, that means I’m gonna start sounding like you, and that would be…that would just be hell.
[…]
God, I hope this is the right number.
Second saved message.
Hey. I just wanted to make sure you got back okay to…wherever it is you’re working. Y’know, you could stand to release a little more information about shit like that. Are you a mob boss now? A contract killer? A really fancy babysitter? All three?! Hell if I know!
[muttered] Why did I call?
Oh. Right. I like your friend…Senritsu? She seems very nice, and she’s taken a liking to you for—god, who even knows what reason. But…you should stick around her. And she at least doesn’t seem the type to get into contract killing, so maybe I can write that one off.
[…]
Okay. I already know you’re not gonna call me back, but could you send a text? Oh! I got an idea. Send “A” if you’re alive, and…I guess “D” if you’re not, haha.
[…]
Shit, what a bad joke. Well, at least you probably deleted this message without listening. And if you did, then that’s what you get for letting me leave voicemails instead of just…y’know, picking up. You should do that, by the way. Just in case. N-not for me! But if Gon or Killua calls, you…you should answer, if you can. Okay?
[…]
Um. Sorry, this got…kinda long. Bye.
Third saved message.
Kurapika! I got in! I just got the letter—right now, actually. Holy shit.
[papers faintly rustling]
I…got in. It’s—it’s a really good school. Really expensive too, but...anyway. I’ll worry about that later. Damn, I really got in. I didn’t think...fuck, I was so nervous during the tests and the interviews. You know I don’t even really get nervous like that, haha. I think I ralphed after the last interview. Yeah, I...definitely did. Really hope none of the panelists used that restroom.
[…]
Okay. That’s it. I just thought I’d, uh, let you know. Whatever. You don’t need to congratulate me or anything, I just...wanted to tell you first.
[…]
[muttered] Stupid…
Fourth saved message.
Eyyy…Kuruhp-[hic]-ah…
[there are voices and music in the background, and the creak of a door opening, followed by a loud, irritated exclamation]
Oh fuck! Sorrysorrysorry!
[door slamming]
Shit…just…wanted to find somewhere quiet. I guess they did too. Haha. Oh, I dunno if you heard all that, but I walked in on some people just going to town on each other. I’m at this party. Uh…Zepile told me to come out and celebrate getting accepted into med school but I don’t think this is…really my scene. Kind of over the whole rager part of my life, right?
[…]
Oh yeah, but I did get um…totally shit-faced, haha. I just think…you’d be giving me the nastiest look right about now, and probably thinking, “This guy’s gonna be a doctor someday. He’s gonna handle scalpels.” And then you’d storm out! I’ve been kinda…doing this thing where I try to figure out what you’d be saying if you were here, and I think I’m getting [hic]…pretty good at it.
[…]
Don’t really have any point of reference, though. Because you’re not here.
[…]
Obviously.
[very, very long silence, broken by heavy, staggering breaths]
You ever kissed anyone, Kurapika?
[…]
That’s a stupid question. You’ve probably kissed a lot of people. Who wouldn’t want to kiss you? You’ve got this mouth, and it’s just…it was like kissing was invented because of your mouth. …That make sense?
And I’ve always thought that—uh—kissing is mostly just the introduction. The…appetizer, haha. I’ve just been way more interested in what’s next. But, y’know…Kurapika…I really wouldn’t be thinking that if I got to kiss you. I wouldn’t be thinking about what’s next. I think I’d just be…just be losing my mind that I got to touch you at all, and…and that you weren’t disappearing.
[…]
I’d just…keep kissing you, I think. And that would be it. And…and that would be perfect.
[Leorio chuckles. He starts humming. After about twenty seconds, the humming slips into snores.]

Kurapika, if you’re listening to your messages, Gon is in the hospital.
[…]
It looks bad.
[…]
I hope whatever you’re doing is fucking important.
Sixth saved message.
Okay, do you know how pissed you sound in your voicemail greeting? “You have reached Kurapika. Please leave a message if the nature of your call is urgent.” Who talks like that?
[…]
Damn…I guess I thought that since you actually called me back last time you might start picking up. Clearly that was delusional. Haha. Anyway. You ever see the footage of the election speeches? Killua told me it went viral, but I figured you’ve been too busy to stay on top of all that. You better be sleeping sometimes, though. Or else.
[…]
Well, I guess that was all I got. I need to call Cheadle now…she said it was important, and I really don’t feel like getting barked at all afternoon. Bye!
Seventh saved message.
I’ve called fourteen times in the last half hour, and I will keep it up until you answer, dipshit. Leorio out.
Eighth saved message.
[silence, broken by soft hiccuping]
Kurapika…I miss you. I really miss you. I think about you…too much, and I can’t stop. I know I can’t stop, because I’ve tried to stop and I—I’m thinking about…how your neck would smell. Weird shit like that. Your ears, I…I think about those too, how they look so soft, like fucking…flower petals. You’re the prettiest goddamn person in the world, and I don’t know what to do with that, because you’re also the…the fucking most infuriating bastard I’ve ever met.
[Leorio’s voice is low and wet, he’s crying]
I-I don’t know what you want me to do, except leave you alone, but I can’t do that either, you know I can’t do that…
[quiet rustling, like someone turning over in bed]
You’re not gonna listen to this. You probably just delete all these as soon as you see them. You’re probably like, “God, him again.”
[chuckles, sniffling]
That’s fine. I guess it would make it um, awkward, if you see me again and you’re just, “Yo, what was all that about my neck and ears, pervert?” And then I’d have to explain that I’m in love with you, and…well. I guess that really wouldn’t make it better. Listen, I’m…shit, I’m drunk as hell, haha. Don’t worry…about any of this. Okay? If you’re listening. You’re not, though. You won’t.
That’s good.
[long pause, broken by quiet, irregular breathing]
Goodnight, Kurapika.
End of saved messages.

AU-gust Day 7- Childhood Friends
Taking a bit of a break from Guilty Gear, so today have a Blazblue fic! I know this probably makes no sense in canon for multiple reasons but that’s what an AU is for! So have some tiny Bang and tiny Amane being tiny dorks.
Bang was a very easy person to read. More often than not, one didn’t even have to really try. If he didn’t outright state his opinions or feelings on something, his overexaggerated body language gave him away. The same applied to his interests. Whenever he found something new and exciting, it would be all he talked about.
Tenjo had caught him staring on their way back from training. A traveling caravan was passing through Wadatsumi. She had approved them days ago. As long as they didn’t cause trouble and weren’t too disruptive, she let them come through and take a few days to rest and restock. Her apprentice appeared utterly enraptured at the sight, like he’d never seen anything like it before.
“What are you looking at, Bang?” Was it anything in particular? “Do you like their horses?”
“Sparkly!”
“Sparkly?” A significant number of the travelers did seem to be wearing very eye-catching ensembles, flowy skirts and gem-studded accessories. Tenjo herself did wear some rather extravagant clothing, but she preferred keeping the colors simple. Meanwhile, they dressed in every color of the rainbow and then some. She watched Bang grab at the air towards the procession as it passed them. “Do you like all the colors?”
“Uh-huh! Sparkly!”
She supposed that they could watch for a minute or two. They weren’t in any rush. It was nice to see something happy in her beautiful Wadatsumi, with all the political strife that had been cropping up lately, it was starting to feel like everything was doom and gloom. They could all use something to take their minds off of things, even if it was temporary.
“Ten-jo-sa-ma!” Bang chirped, pointing at something else. “What’s that!”
A man in a beautiful, elaborate outfit was pinning something to the local notice board. A thick stack of papers were taking up his other arm, so it wasn’t much of a surprise to see him rush off immediately to start chatting with a pair of passers-by and offer them another.
“Hmm? I don’t know. Let’s go take a look.” When the road was clear, the two of them crossed the street to get a better look. There were a few notices already put up, but the newest one stuck out like a sore thumb with its bright colors.
‘One Night Only!’ It announced, in elaborate writing. ‘Witness the beauty and grace of the Mikoto Dance Troupe! Be charmed by the stunning visual performance and melodies! Show begins at 8pm in Block 4. Free admission, donations encouraged!’
“A dancing show?” How odd. Those didn’t often come to Wadatsumi. She noticed her charge staring at the paper with bright eyes, bouncing up and down.
Had he ever seen something like this? He was a Wadatsumi native, it was unlikely a troupe had come through, and it didn’t seem probable his parents would take someone so young to another Hierarchical City for something like that. It had to be something new and interesting for him, no wonder he was so excited.
“Would you like to go to the show, Bang?” She asked. “You’ve already finished your training today, so we can go as a special treat, if you’d like.”
“We can??”
Tenjo chuckled. “Is that a yes, then?”
“YEAH!!”
++++++
“Woah…”
It seemed the festivities had attracted quite a lot of Wadatsumi’s inhabitants. She had already seen peasant farmers, politicians, and everything in between lined up to take a peek. A small crowd had already clustered around the entrance, and she could see people inside the performance area frantically carrying out more chairs to set up for their incoming audience.
“Are you alright, Bang?” She gave his hand a light squeeze. Tenjo knew he didn’t do well in crowds. In hindsight, she probably should have expected it, but all she could do now was give him as much patience as possible.
“Mmhm.” He nodded, with his face buried in his scarf to block out all the smells.
“Don’t worry, I promise it will be less crowded once we get inside.”
At least the man at the counter knew how to work fast. It didn’t take long for them to move up to the front. “Hello, ma’am! Two guests?”
“Yes.” Tenjo nodded. “Just a moment, Bang. Let me reach my pocket.” She let go of his hand, took a moment to be sure he wouldn’t immediately be swallowed up by the crowd, and dug into her robes in search of coin. Imperator or not, she could support small artists trying to make a living.
The man looked utterly dumbfounded at the pile of money she offered up. “Wow, th-thank you very much, ma’am! We appreciate your kindness!”
Had people not been donating? She hoped she hadn’t been the only person to do so. “Of course! Happy to help. May we head inside?”
“Absolutely!” He beckoned them to the gate. “Enjoy the show!”
“Thank you for being patient with me. Now we can- huh? Bang?”
When she looked down, he was nowhere to be seen. “Bang?!”
Her eyes tore around, trying to find the smallest hint of trailing red fabric. He may have been a burgeoning combatant and capable of fending for himself, she nonetheless felt anxiety pooling in her stomach.
“Ten-jo-sa-ma Ten-jo-sa-ma Ten-jo-”
Bang tried to peek out of the top of his scarf while still keeping it mushed over his nose. It had been too loud and smelly for him. Tenjo-sama had said that when he got overwhelmed, he should find a quiet place to sit until he felt better. There were a lot of tents over near the big wagons, and those seemed like a good place to hide. If he had a meltdown, then they would have to go home for the night, and he really wanted to see the pretty dancers!
One of the less-big tents across the lawn was already half-open, how lucky! He ducked inside and huddled in the corner.
“Ten-jo-sa-ma Ten-jo-sa-ma-” He mumbled to himself, rocking back and forth on his toes. It was way less crowded in the tent, and most of the bad smells had been replaced by a nice perfume. And thankfully, nobody interrupted his stimming until he started to feel a little bit more in control of himself.
“Hmm hmm, la da da~”
Bang’s ears perked up. Had someone been singing the whole time, and he had only just noticed it?
He stood back up and turned towards the sound. Part of the tent was closed off by another curtain, with light spilling out from behind. Curiously, he approached to peek out from behind.
“La-la-la-la, da-da-dum~”
A boy about his age was twirling around, clutching bright pink ribbons in his tiny fists. His dancing wasn’t as smooth or fancy as the other dancers, but it was probably the same reason he wasn’t as good at fighting as Tenjo-sama or Ka-gu-ra-nii. Kids weren’t usually the best at things, adults had lots more time to practice, so they were really good!
“La-la- oh!” On his next turn, Bang watched him trip and fall on the hem of his skirt. “Owie…”
It must have been a bad fall, because his eyes started pinching and tearing up. Or maybe he was sad he had messed up the dance? He did that sometimes when he messed up a parry or fell off the climbing wall, even when it didn’t hurt.
Well, Tenjo-sama said people got better at things when you encouraged them! Maybe that was just what this one needed to help cheer him up.
So he started to clap. “That was really good! Until the part where you tripped, but I do that all the time too!”
“-eek!” The boy shrieked, jumping back and dropping his ribbons. Why had he done that?
“That was really good!” He said again, in case he hadn’t heard. “You’re really good!”
That seemed to calm him down a little. “I thought you were Tsukiyomi-san.” He said, picking up his ribbons again. “She always yells at me for fooling around before the show.”
“Are you gonna dance up on the big stage?”
“Yeah-huh!” He replied, with a glint of eagerness in his eyes. “I just do small parts now, but when I get big they’re gonna let me do all the important dances!” The boy puffed out his chest, making the pale pink scarf he wore fluff around his head like a halo. “My name is Nishiki Amane. I’m gonna be super famous someday, so you’d better remember it!”
“A-ma-ne Nishi-ki-kun. A-ma-ne-kun.” He liked the way it rolled off his tongue. “A-ma-ne-kun.”
“Amane! That’s me! I’m gonna be so great, people will clap and cheer and throw flowers at me whenever I dance!”
“Mmm.” Bang tilted his head. “My scarf is cooler than yours.”
“What?!” Amane shouted back. “No it isn’t! Mine’s the cooler one! It’s pink! And it looks really pretty when I dance!”
“Nuh-uh!” Replied Bang, with a growing smirk. “Mine is red, and red is the best.”
“Oh yeah?” Just as quickly, Amane was grinning back. “Well if it’s so cool, then give it to me!”
The ninja took off to run around the room. “No way! It’s mine!”
“Not for long!” The other boy started chasing him in circles.
“It’s mine!”
“Gimme!”
“No!”
“Give- oof!”
The dizziness very quickly made them crash into one another and fall in a heap. The two boys sat back up, looked at one another, and burst into giggles.
“That was fun!” Bang crowed.
“I feel dizzy.” Amane began undoing the loops of his scarf. “Wanna try mine? Let’s swap!”
“Okay!”
Amane had to help him tie the knots right so the scarf went around his shoulders, and Bang helped him loop the thick red fabric around so it would fall down his back and flap behind him when he ran.
“Sparkly!” He did a little twirl, watching how the pink material practically hovered over him. “Amane-kun looks like a superhero!”
“You think so?” It looked weird with his fancy dress, but Amane looked perfectly pleased with his new accessory, twirling a little before pulling it back off and handing it over. “It’s a little too heavy to dance in, though.”
Bang hadn’t considered that. “Maybe that’s why I can’t dance good. You’re really good, can you show me how to dance?”
Amane untied the pink scarf off him and put it back on himself. “Tsukiyomi-san says 'dancers can’t be truly great unless they look their best.' So maybe if I do your makeup, you’ll be better at it!”
On the other side of the tent, there was a pretty wooden vanity with a mirror and bottles of all different things lined up on it. Amane climbed onto the chair and began rooting around. “I only get to wear lipstick during big shows, so that’s probably the best!”
He found a tube of something and popped it open. Bang watched in confused intrigue as Amane rubbed it on his own lips. Wherever he put it, they turned a bright shade of pink.
“This color’s my favorite!” Pursing his lips and turning his head back and forth let Amane look at his reflection in different ways.
“Ok ok!” Bang raised his arms toward him. “Do me now!”
“Hold on! Gotta test it and see if it’s dry first!”
“How do you do that?”
Instead of responding, Amane bent down to kiss him on the mouth. Bang felt something sticky rub off on his lips, making him reel back and swat at his face.
“Guess it wasn’t dry…” The dancer sighed unhappily. “What’s wrong?”
“Sticky! Your mouth is sticky! Boys aren’t supposed to kiss!”
“Why not?”
“Hmm…” Bang thought for a moment. He couldn’t think of a good answer. He kissed Amane back on the forehead. Then he didn’t have to worry about being sticky, though he did leave a little smear of pink on his face.
Amane beamed. “See? Boys can kiss other boys! Some of the bigger kids do it all the time.”
How interesting. Amane-kun seemed to know a lot of things. Bang liked learning from him!
“Amane?” Said a strange voice. “The show starts in fifteen minutes, are you-”
A woman bustled into the tent, tying her hair back. She seemed interested in Bang as soon as she saw him. “Ah! Are you little Bang?”
He tilted his head. “No.”
She paused, looking at him with confusion. “Oh. I’m looking for a boy your age, with a red scarf sort of like yours, have you seen him? His name is Bang.”
“Mmhm.” He nodded. “I’m Bang.”
That only confused her further. “But you just told me it wasn’t your name?”
“My name is just ‘Bang.’”
The woman smiled, though it really didn’t look like a smile. “Ah. Alright, smarty-pants, your chaperone is looking for you.”
He wasn’t sure what that meant. Amane was nice enough to explain. “Like, the person you came with. Did you come with your mom?”
“I came with Ten-jo-sa-ma.” He’d nearly forgotten about her! He had been so distracted by playing with Amane-kun. Hopefully she wouldn’t be mad.
At that very moment, Tenjo followed the woman into the tent. “Bang! I was so worried, are you alright?”
“Ten-jo-sa-ma!” He shouted, burying himself in her skirt. “It was too smelly, so I found a quiet place like you told me to!”
“That’s...yes, that’s very good of you, Bang.” She gave him a pat on the back. “But next time, please let me know before you do that, alright? I don’t want to lose track of you in such a crowded place.”
He nodded. “O-k! Look at my friend A-ma-ne-kun!”
“Oh?” Tenjo looked at the other boy. “I’m so happy to see you making friends, Bang! But the show is about to start soon, why don’t we let them get ready and find a place to sit?”
“She’s right!” The other woman started ushering Amane towards another tent. “You still have to change!”
“Bye-bye A-ma-ne-kun!” Bang waved as they departed.
Tenjo gave her apprentice a small smile as they headed towards. “Did you have fun playing?”
“Mmhm! A-ma-ne-kun is a real good dancer! He’s gonna dance up on the stage!”
“We’ll have to keep an eye out for him then, won’t we?” It was wonderful that he was making friends his own age. She noticed he didn’t have much interest in the concept. As much as she wanted him to explore and do as he pleased without being too smothered, it was a tad worrisome that he only seemed interested in talking to her or Kagura.
She felt Bang slipping from her grip. Oh no, this wasn’t going to happen again. “Bang, don’t run away!”
But he didn’t. Instead, she watched him calmly walk over to a bush of lilies and crouch. He carefully plucked a few flowers off their stems and bunched them together in his free hand.
“Bang? What are you doing? The show is about to start soon!”
After plucking a few more, he stood back up and followed. “Mmhm. O-k Ten-jo-sa-ma.”
“What are the flowers for?”
“They’re for A-ma-ne-kun! So I can throw em at him when he dances!”
Throwing them? That was a bit odd. Then again, Bang was a bit of an odd child. But as long as he was enjoying himself and wasn't causing any harm, she supposed it wasn’t a big deal.

Little do you know (I’ll love you till the sun dies)
Soooo... I just had this thing happening last night (I’m at lack of sleep, so all mistakes are mine). I just had to write something, and I’m surprised I could finish it in just one sit. I missed the feeling of acomplishment! It feels great.
I hope you enjoy this and please, if you happen to have prompt, send it to me so I can go back in shape :)
Pairing: Mitchsen
Summary: "I'll love you like you've never felt the pain, I'll wait
I promise, you don't have to be afraid, I'll wait"
Wordcount: 1895
Read on Ao3
Seriously, how could she be the one person Aubrey fucking Posen set eyes on? Being honest, she doubted someone as perfect as the blonde could mold to her messy attitude, for lack of a better word. But she’d expected more from her. She’s earned it for leading the Belas to win the ICCAs championship, didn’t she?
Beca was never one to brag about her abilities and she would never ask for people to worship the floor she walked on. But she’s been expecting for her co-captain to show up at the airport. Or at least for a text wishing her good luck.
“I guess this is it,” a very teary Chloe interrupted her thoughts.
“Don’t do this,” Beca tried to keep her voice even. She hated when Chloe cried, and even more when it was her fault. “You know we’ll keep in contact.”
“That’s until you get all egocentric once you get famous that you’ll forget about us, simple mortals.” The pout on Chloe’s face was doing wonders to Beca, really.
“I’m better than that, Red. I will never forget about you, nor the Bellas.” Beca wrapped her arms around the redhead’s waist before she even could think about it. Something that surprised them both.
In all honesty, by the last few weeks, she’s starting doubting her decision of leaving Barden after the year was over. Not that she’ll ever admit it, but she has found a family in this group of misfits singers. She’s connected with them by now and she knew this was a hard decision to make. But when she got someone presenting her the opportunity in a silver plate, she was no idiot and knew that this kind of train wasn’t easy to catch up. So she agreed. She agreed to pursue her dream without looking back. It was what she’s always wanted, right? To make music and become a producer someday?
“Just promise you’ll get time for me when I go visit?” Chloe searched her eyes for confirmation.
“You know I’ll always have time for you,” she couldn’t resist tucking a strand of red hair behind Chloe’s ear. Something she’s got used to. “I’ll even let you snuggle up-” she was cut off by Chloe’s eager arms around her waist. “If, you behave.”
“I promise I’ll be in my best behavior.” Beca knew it was a lie, but she opted to just kiss her forehead instead. She was never the one to initiate contact, but Chloe’s turned from this insufferable ball of sunshine with no sense of “personal space” to Beca’s precious thing bit by bit and she knew she’d miss the heck out of the redhead. So she just stood there, taking in the scent of Chloe’s shampoo just to have something she could remember, just to feel closer to her.
That is until the speakers called for Beca’s flight to board the plane that’d change her life completely.
Aubrey had tried to get her feet moving, she really did. But it seemed like her body was growing roots right there. Just feet apart from the brunette.
All she wanted was to be there, to hold Beca in her arms for the last time in hopes that she’d stay with her. All she wanted was to just breathe her, one last time. Yet, she was unable to walk the few steps to the living room in where her Bellas had thrown a farewell party for Beca before she left.
She knew she couldn’t bear the feeling of Beca walking out from her. After all the bumps they had since the beginning of the years, all Aubrey wanted was to grasp Beca in her arms and never let her go. But some unknown feeling kept her hidden in her room. Her lungs seemed to lack oxygen every time she tried to go meet them. So she just stayed there, like the coward she was.
The feeling of being left alone was just too much for Aubrey to handle. Beca has settled camp in her heart and just refused to give up. Even if Beca was oblivious of the fact - and without even trying - she’s turned Aubrey’s world upside down. And that was something terrifying for her. She was so fucking obsessed with being in control of thing that she had literally shut down her emotions.
Aubrey was just incapable of understanding her own emotions, so it was easier to just push them away. It was oh, so fucking easier to just avoid them and continue her day on autopilot. It was painful to see, really. But it was all she could do to keep her shit together.
Yet, the envelope in her hands could change everything. And if she’s got accepted, she sure as hell should pick up her game and just woman up. She wasn’t a kid anymore, she was a fucking grown-up lady and she should act the age.
********
All Beca wanted was to come back home, change into comfortable pajamas and chill out for the weekend. Who knew being an adult could be sofucking stressful? Certainly not her. She almost wanted to be a kid again. Almost. Having economic independence was something pretty cool, actually. She wouldn’t lie.
But what she found when she reached her floor was something she’s never even dreamed of. Not since a few days ago, anyway. She just gave up on the possibility.
So when she saw Aubrey sitting at her door playing with her phone, her heart literally stopped beating. For a whole 10 seconds, she stopped breathing altogether. Just like that. And it was thanks to her burning lungs that she somehow re-learned the activity all over again.
She had to pinch herself to accept this was real. Aubrey fucking Posen was at her door, without a warning, waiting for her. She was here, of all places.
Her legs moved in a way aking to Bambi when he just started walking. The shock was so strong yet, that she felt like walking on shaking grounds. All her senses telling her to just run before the blonde could disappear into thin air, but her body just walked cautiously as if she was offering herself to her predator while doubting her decision all the way.
Thousands of words wanted to escape her mouth at the same time yet, she just went with a timid “Hi.”
Aubrey froze at the words and looked up, incredulity in her eyes. As if she hadn’t traveled all the way to New York to her place.
“Beca, hi.” The blonde eagerly got up to just stand there burning holes into Beca’s skull.
“I can’t believe you’re here. Why are you here?” Beca’s confusion was written all over her face. She just knew it.
“I just… I was hoping we could talk?” Aubrey tried softly and it somehow soothed Beca’s soul. Whatever the blonde had to say, the fact that she's come to her, was enough to fasten up her heartbeat.
“Uh, sure. Come on in,” she offered when she held the door open to the blonde. “You’d like something to drink?”
“I’m… coffee is good.” Aubrey corrected herself and Beca was glad she had something to busy herself with before facing her. God knows her whole body was shaking at a molecular level thanks to the presence of Aubrey in her apartment. It wasn’t something she was used to.
“Thank you,” Aubrey accepted the steaming mug smiling something so shy that got Beca all mushed over the floor. “I’m sorry I came up unexpectedly.”
“‘S okay,” Beca couldn’t help but inspect the blonde’s features all over again. It was as if she was discovering her for the first time all over again.
“Ugh, I hate this, so I’ll be direct, okay?” Aubrey paused waiting for a reply and Beca was so eager to nod her agreement that she felt her brains jumping all over the place. “I was a coward. That’s why…” Aubrey breathed deeply before puffin out. “That’s why I didn’t want to face you. I knew you were leaving and I just… I couldn’t be good with it. I didn’t want you to leave us. To leave me,” Aubrey found interest in her coffee after she’s spoken the words. And Beca was just a fucking puzzle to even care.
All she really wanted was to dissect the confession she just got placing the parts in order to just understand. She wanted to understand the blonde’s actions so bad.
“Why?” she found herself asking after a few -way too long - seconds of silence.
“Because.” Was all Aubrey seemed able to offer. “I wasn’t ready to face my emotions. God, I’m not even ready now . But like… I just had to act up on it before it was too late,” she confessed with pain tinted in the words. “I hope I’m not late?” She finally looked up at her and Beca could see the uncertainty in them. The same uncertainty she’s been feeling lately.
“Why now?” Beca didn’t want to be rude, really, she didn’t. But the words just escaped her mouth before she could shut them. Something that just seemed to leave the door open for more. “It’s been 5 months, Aubrey. Why now, after you’ve ignored my messages?”
The long silence was just too suffocating. Beca wasn’t sure if the dizziness was because she just stopped breathing or she was about to just get sick, but she sure as hell wanted the air to reach her lungs.
“I told you. I wasn’t ready-”
“Bullshit,” Beca cut her, she knew it was pure bullshit. “We’ve been close before I left, and I don’t remember fighting. So pardon me if I don’t believe you.” Beca paused for a much-needed breath after her words came rushing. “I find it hard for you to just ignore the friendly messages I’ve sent. I was trying to keep you in my life, dude!”
“I CAN’T SEE YOU AS MY FRIEND!” Aubrey got up and started pacing between the couch and the coffee table. “I can’t see you as my friend, Beca.” Aubrey’s hand started to play with her hair. Something the blonde did whenever she was… a mess.
“I can’t have you as my friend because I love you, Beca. I fell for you and I’m shitless scared about it because what if-”
Beca didn’t know what possessed her to do such stupid thing, but one second she was watching Aubrey pace in front of her and the next she was kissing her .
She was kissing Aubrey as if her life depended on it. She was kissing her as if all her world ended in that furious yet sweetest kiss. And Aubrey was kissing her back as if Beca was the oxygen she has lost long ago. She was kissing her back as if it was just the rightest thing to do.
“Beca,” Aubrey tried to talk after breaking apart for much-needed air.
“Shh. Let me have this moment,” Beca shushed resting her forehead on Aubrey’s before she searched her lips one last time. She knew they had a lot to talk, but that should have to wait.
All she wanted right now, was to enjoy the moment and just let themselves go. God knows she’s dreamed about kissing the blonde countless times… but this? Sweet baby Jesus, this couldn’t even compare with her dreams. This was so much better.

Little Robin prompt! She’s experimenting with magic and accidentally sends herself to an alternate past timeline in the Wish Realm, just after Gothel cursed Nook’s heart. She hears Little Alice calling for help and climbs up. It’d be cute to see them meet as kids. They find a way for Alice to escape the tower. You can decide how it ends. Little Robin takes her back to Storybrooke. Or, if you don't want Little Alice around for the rest of the series, send her off to Wonderland on her own for now.
Thanks for the amazing prompt!
Little Robin’s Adventures, Chapter 4: Little Robin vs. Magic Part 2
Little Robin woke to the sounds of screaming from above. Peeking her eyes open, she took in her surroundings, she had never seen such a beautiful place before. The trees towered above, providing much-needed protection from the harsh sun, the ground was wet and mossy, and the singing voices of birds and insects filled the air…until the screaming started again.
“Papa! Papa! Please come back to me, Papa!” An English twine flew around her, engulfing her in memories of her friend Alice, who up until a few moments ago had been holding her, protecting her, until her magic pushed her away. Looking around Little Robin tried to find the source of the crying, hoping that maybe she knew a way for her to get back home, it was almost her bedtime after all and she knew that her Mother was already a little bit upset with her.
“Hello? Is anyone there?” Little Robin called out as she finally picked herself off the ground.
“Hello?” The voice shouted back, she sounded close, but Little Robin couldn’t see anyone nearby.
“Where are you?” The brunette called out, as she stood on her tiptoes thinking that it would give her a better few. It worked, for a few seconds until she lost her balance and fell backward, only being held up by some sort of brick tower.
“I’m up here!” The voice called out, prompting Robin to move away from the tower and look up. Sitting at the edge of a small window, was a girl around about her age, with beautiful blonde hair.
“Hey! I’m Robin!” She shouted while waving her hand excitedly forgetting for a second that she had magic. Within the second wave of her hand, the brunette was quickly engulfed in a cloud of green smoke. As it disappeared, Robin came face to face with the girl from the window, only Robin now seemed to be inside the tower and within arms reach of the girl.
“Magic…stay away from me!” The blonde girl screamed as she scampered away, jumping over her bed and quickly tucking herself underneath it.
“Hey…I’m not gonna hurt you.” Little Robin explained as she got down on her hands and knees to look at the blonde shaking under the bed.
“Promise?” The blonde cried.
“I cross my heart.” Robin reached her hand out for the blonde. Nervously, the blonde girl took Robin’s hand and allowed her to help her out from under the bed and back up to her feet.
“Magic is scary…the witch used magic to keep my Papa away from me.” Little Alice explained as she led Robin over to the small table surrounded by tattered cuddly toys.
“I won’t use my magic, I don’t really know much about it…only how to pull pranks on Big Robin!” Little Robin bragged, as she pulled a chair out for the blonde, whose name she still did not know.
“Big Robin? So that makes you Little Robin?” Alice asked as she leaned forward to listen closely to the brunette.
“I guess so, but you can just call me Robin.” The brunette winked at the blonde, something she had seen Robin do to Alice many of times and she seemed to like it.
“I’m Alice…” The blonde extended her hand out to the gobsmacked brunette.
“Alice? Alice Jones?” Robin asked excitedly.
“How did you know?” The blonde asked in confusion, completely intrigued by her new brunette friend.
“It’s a long story.” Robin giggled as she sat back in her seat, ready to fill Alice in on what had been happening since Pretty Alice and Big Robin came to town.
“Tea?” Little Alice smiled brightly, as she poured a cup for herself and Robin.
***
“How could I let this happen!” Robin paced outside of the small walk-in closet, as Alice hunted for something suitable to wear. Zelena had run off to find Regina so that they could do a locator spell, Robin had insisted immediately that she and Alice would track her down and get her home safely, knowing that if Zelena went after Little Robin, magic or not some bad things would happen to some not so bad people.
“It’s not your fault love, she’s young, too young for magic and she lost control.” Alice peeked her head out to smile at the brunette.
“What if something horrible happens to her…to me! She only a kid!” Robin shouted, tears now forming in her eyes, as much as she claimed the small brunette annoyed her with her clinging to Alice and all the mischief she seemed to get into, Robin loved the little brunette like a sister.
“Regina will cast the locator spell, then we will go and get her…I promise, that nothing bad is going to happen to Little Robin.” Alice stepped out of the closet dressed in the same red skirt, white blouse and brown corset that she had worn the day she met Robin. “Now, calm yourself down and get dressed!” Alice clapped her hands together, snapping Robin’s eyes away from how sexy the blonde looked in that outfit.
“Fine…” Robin mumbled as she quickly undressed, before pulling her old hunting gear on. “I hope Little Robin hasn’t gotten herself into too much trouble…I mean, it’s only been an hour.” Robin commented as she was pulled her boot on, wincing as her socked foot came into contact with something wet, cold and sticky.
“What is…Oh.” Alice covered her face with her hand as she tried not to laugh at her love.
“I’m gonna ki…” Robin paused, breathing deeply to calm herself down. “Is it bad that this kind of makes me miss her even more?” Robin’s facial expressions softened as a stray tear released itself from the prison that was Robin’s eyes.
“Aww love…” Alice hugged the brunette tightly, as she rubbed soothing shapes on her cloak covered back. “You do care.”
***
“So, you think that I’m the younger version of your Alice from Storybrooke?” Little Alice asked as she sipped on her tea, enjoying that fact that she has actual company for her tea parties, as opposed to just her and her stuffed animals.
“Yep! She’s my best friend…oh and Big Robin, she’s the older version of me!” Little spoke excitedly, as she munched on another one of Alice’s cupcakes.
“How curious…what is she…me…like?” Little Alice reached over to pour more tea into the brunette’s cup, before grabbing Mr. Rabbit from his usual seat, to cuddle with.
“She’s amazing! We are always playing, having tea parties, baking cookies! And she’s pretty too…just like you.” Little Robin blushed, as she saw Little Alice duck her head into Mr. Rabbit’s fur.
“Thank you…you’re pretty too,” Alice mumbled, as the small clock struck 7 pm.
“Aww shucks…Oh, I’ve got to get home, Mom is going to kill me!” Little Robin jumped, starling the smaller girl ever so slightly.
“Careful…” Little Alice warned, as she quickly reached to grab the shaking teacups.
“Oops, Sorry.” Robin smiled apologetically, as she shrugged her shoulders sadly.
“It’s okay…it’s just that my Papa got me this…before.” Little Alice’s eyes filled with fresh tears, it had only been a couple of weeks since her Papa’s heart had been poisoned and she truly missed him dearly.
“I get it…I never knew my Dad, he died when I was a baby…he left me this amazing bow, but I don’t get to have it till I’m older, like Robin! She says she’ll teach me one day, but Alice keeps shouting at her…I miss Alice.” Little Robin felt herself grow small, not in size, but in confidence. She was worried about the Alice she had left behind, she didn’t mean to hurt her and she was so sure that Big Robin would be mad at her because of it.
“Big Robin sounds fun…” Little Alice commented, “If she’s anything like you that is.”
“Ha, I’m nothing like her…she always so moody and she hates it when I’m around most of the time…” Little Robin huffed as she started to grow tired, it was around about this time when she would curl up on the sofa with her Mom and watch cartoons, plus the added strain of using magic all day had really taken its toll on her.
“I’m sure that’s not true…I can’t imagine having someone like you around and not enjoying every second of it.” Alice blushed as she wrapped her arm around the brunette’s shoulders.
“She’s probably happy that I’m gone…I only ever get in her and Alice’s way.” Tear’s began to run down the small child’s face.
“I don’t know this other Robin, but if she doesn’t want to have you around then she is missing out! I haven’t had this much fun stuck in her in…I don’t even know how long!” Little Alice quickly wrapped her other arm around the brunette, pulling her in closer as Little Robin sobbed.
“T-thanks Alice…I’m glad I got to make a friend like you…again.” The small brunette, wiped away the tears as she mumbled into Alice’s shoulder.
“I’m glad I got to make a friend that isn’t a stuffed animal…or a hat.” The blonde blushed as they pulled away, arms still loosely draped around each other.
“I wish that you weren’t stuck in this place…”
“I wish that you didn’t have to go…can you come back and see me again?” Little Alice begged as she smiled a toothy grin.
“I’m not sure if my Mom will let me near magic again…but I promise that we will meet again.” Robin smiled as she thought of the stories Big Alice had told her about all her and Robin’s adventures in the enchanted forest. “One day, you’re going to be spying on your Papa, you’ll hear a twig break behind you and come face to face with the best archer in all the realms.” Little Robin winked proudly, content in leaving the girl, knowing that someday soon they would be together again.
“I’d like that…” Alice blushed. “Goodbye Little Robin.” Little Alice gently leaned forward, placing a friendly kiss on the small brunette’s cheek. Suddenly, a wave of magic took over them, sending flashes of bright colors around the tower. Unsure of what was going to happen, the two girls hugged each other close, eyes shut and trembling…

Honest Q&A: Round 5! Table
Glad to see you all here. Let’s jump right in then. It’s been a while and our reader’s will surely be itching to learn more about Eorzea’s adventurous types.
If you were ruler of your own country what would be the first law you would introduce?
Lloire: “Tch. I would introduce a law that changed our system of government to one more akin to Ishgard’s House of Commons system so that whatever fools put me in charge stood a better chance.”
K’risa: “Um, doesn’t the fact that you wanna do that make you a good choice for a ruler? Anyways, I would introduce laws that were in place to severely punish anyone found tempered or assisting with tempering.”
Beta: “No, no, miss Mau. He’s right. A leader’s gotta be willing to be willing to NOT be sacrificial. The General has to know when –they- have to withdraw from the field, and Lloire just wouldn’t ever be able to do that. For me though, I’d put strict regulations on Magitek use to coincide with the increased production.”
Chadrick: “The feck? Tha three o’ ye can actually think o’ this shyte? Nay lads, Ah’m nay rulin’ anyone. Ah suppose me first an’ only law would be t’ abolish tha government so each man was free.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is banning slaves or people who are being worked ;like slaves for little gil.”
Benedict: “I consider myself a man of the gods. It would be improper for me to rule over others. My beliefs would unfairly cloud my judgment.”
Chance: “A merc country? Heh, a king who fights his own battles. Would be a sight, yea?”
Felix: “Only fools rule. A ruler is always a puppet. A puppet to those with coin, to the popular opinion, to blackmail, or any number of other things. Why rule when you can manipulate from the shadows? I’d never get suckered into being any country’s ruler.”
What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)?
Lloire: “A week. …People I cared about were trapped within the void. I spent a week fighting to free them and only finally slept when Soren drugged me.”
K’risa: “A week? How are you not dead? No. I don’t wanna know. Longest I went was still less than a day. What? Girl needs her rest!”
Beta: “Um, well… crankshafts… I think it was three days? I was building something important.”
Chadrick: “T’was bout twenty-four ‘ours. Was travelin’ through some rough territory. Could nay afford t’ sleep, so, we pushed through.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is sleeping every day. It is only way to stay strong, yes?”
Benedict: “I am in agreement with Master Taqalid. Proper rest is important for the body and mind.”
Chance: “Three days. Dravonians had us pinned down.”
Felix: “I didn’t count, but I recall it was several weeks. I had an experiment that required my undivided attention and well, with the right potions you can forgo sleep. Albeit at a slight degradation of your capacities.”
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Lloire: “A book to read.”
K’risa: “My blankets! What, it’s all your fault. Talking about not sleeping made me sleepy!”
Beta: “Coffee!”
Chadrick: “Seein’ a beautiful lass smile. Nary a soul should e’er do without.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa has been without, yes? So, there is nothing he is needing so much he cannot be without.”
Benedict: “Prayer. I only bring it up as a non-necessity because so many others live without it. I could not.”
Chance: “A knife. You should always have a knife.”
Felix: “I think I will agree with dark and broody over there. Constantly learn. You should read every day.”
Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest?
Lloire: “Smell, strange as might seem. I guess I honed it over the years learning to cook. Taste is important and all, but you smell the food well before you ever taste it… and the smell lingers long after the food is gone.”
K’risa: “I unno, hearing I guess?”
Beta: “Sight for sure. Picking things apart and remembering exactly what I saw and where a screw or bolt was… Yea, definitely sight.”
Chadrick: “O’ now, this is an easy one. Touch. Easy. ‘ands down.”
Aasifa: “Friend Chadrick, Aasifa worries you are meaning hands down skirts with way you are saying this. For Aasifa, it is hearing like friend K’risa. He is training whole childhood to be hearing intruders.”
Benedict: “I would have to say taste. Mine is overly strong, so I prefer more ‘bland’ flavors.”
Chance: “Smell for me too. Different uses though.”
Felix: “My sixth. Next question.”
Which of the five senses would you give up if you had to lose one?
Lloire: “Given previous… injuries, sight. I’ve already started training to be without it. I’d miss it for sure, but I would miss the others more.”
K’risa: “Really? You’d go blind before not being able to cook? You’re a strange one. For me, it’d be smell.”
Beta: “I’m kinda with miss K’risa Lloire. It’s crazy to go blind instead of not being able to smell. You’d get yourself ki--…. Oh… Nevermind, it all makes sense.”
Chadrick: “Well, Ah mean… Ah’d lose me sight before me sense o’ touch… but alas, Ah must agree with tha others… Smell can go first.”
Aasifa: “Hmm, Aasifa is thinking touch. If he is not feeling, there is no pain, he is greater fighter, yes?”
Benedict: “I’m not certain that would be wise Master Taqalid. Pain is a warning so we know how far to push ourselves. I am with the others. Perhaps a lost sense of smell might even out my sense of taste.”
Chance: “Sound I guess. Wouldn’t have to hear as much whining from people at least.”
Felix: “An interesting question… though I have to agree with the majority. Smell is the least useful sense in the lives we live.”
How would your friends describe you?
Lloire: “Depends on the friend I imagine. Soren’d tell you I’m a stubborn ass who always thinks he’s right. Siben’d tell you I try to hard and am quick to temper. Most everyone would likely agree that I’m injury prone I suppose.”
K’risa: “Um, I guess they’d say I was a hard worker.”
Beta: “Injury prone? That’s how you describe it? It’s not like you slipped and fell on a knife yanno. Um, most’a my friends would probably say I’m a workaholic and I’m bad at multitasking and should eat more.”
Chadrick: “Well, shyte. Ah’m nay sure. A few’d probably say Ah was a cocky bloke.”
Aasifa: “Friends have said before, describing Aasifa is difficult thing. But most are saying he like like the wind.”
Benedict: “I would hope they’d describe me as warm and caring. Protective.”
Chance: “And big Benny. As for me, ain’t too many I call friend and fewer still I’d give a fuck what they said.”
Felix: “As the guy you call when shits gone to hell and you need a way out.”
What did you want to be when you were small?
Lloire: “An archmage. Someone like Louisoix or Shatotto.”
K’risa: “I wanted what every girl in our tribe wanted. To be a huntress.”
Beta: “You just… I swear, you don’t own a mirror do you? Ugh. I wanted to be the world’s best engineer. Well, okay, want to be…”
Chadrick: “Ah was goin’ t’ say lad… ye are still a wee one. As fer me, Ah’ve always dreamed o’ bein’ a ‘ero. E’er since Ah too was a wee lad.”
Aasifa: “Free, yes?”
Benedict: “When I was young, I simply wished to please the family that took me in.”
Chance: “A merc. It was all I’d known.”
Felix: “Alchemy has been an interest of mine since I first heard of it.”
What's the craziest thing you’ve done in the name of love?
Lloire: “Pretty sure I have to say ‘Stab myself in the chest’ or Beta will call me out on it.”
K’risa: “Yea, he will. How did you—I’d rather not know. I uh, left my tribe and everyone I knew.”
Beta: “Yea, next time you go falling for a girl, maybe just roses and chocolates, ‘kay? For me, it was raid a castrum and take over all their reapers.”
Chadrick: “Ah di’nay know tha’ Ah’d call it fer love… but tha craziest thing Ah did fer romance was date wha’ amounted t’ a princess. Di’nay hiss K’risa… she ne’er did a thing t’ ye.””
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not understanding question. Everything done for love is crazy, yes? Otherwise… is not love?”
Benedict: “I fear I am going to have to abstain from answering. I have not been in love and as such have not done anything foolish.”
Chance: “Tried to play at hero.”
Felix: “Hmm… pretty much everything I did from the age nineteen to twenty-three.”
Do you collect anything? If so, what?
Lloire: “Books.”
K’risa: “I don’t think it counts that I collect fabrics, considering that’s my job.”
Beta: “Mostly Garlean scrap. Wha? It’s not ‘technically’ my job. Also, Lloire, I’m pretty sure you collect scars.”
Chadrick: “Ah’ve a giant collection o’ tha things Ah kept from each o’ me missions. Aislyn an’ Ah make it a point t’ keep one thing from each job.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not one for ‘things’, yes? You cannot take with you. No matter what some people might think.”
Benedict: “Yes, I have a collection of different totems, rosaries, wards, from various beliefs. I enjoy learning about other people’s beliefs.”
Chance: “…no. The fuck am I gonna do with all that extra weight?”
Felix: “Like Scars, I have a collection of tomes as well as a collection of rare metals and gems.”
Who was your first crush?
Lloire: “A woman named Stanzie. ”
K’risa: “A pretty boy hero who doesn’t know how to sit still.”
Beta: “Um, I guess Ikara? I mean, I didn’t really get the whole dating thing before I met her.”
Chadrick: “There was this lass named Cathleen when Ah was growin’ up. Me da dealt with ‘ers kind o’ regularly. Otherwise, Ah’d ‘ave t’ say Sinomen.”
Aasifa: “Bliss. Let us speak on something new, yes?”
Benedict: “Again, I will need to bow… what is that mister Tamisier? Oh, well.. I suppose… very well. There was a young Elezen girl when I was much much younger… but that was highly inappropriate. Her name? Oh… It’s been so many years. Killie… Kyliean… I fear I do not recall anymore.”
Chance: “Right… sure you don’t Benny. There was a fellow merc when I was starting out. Becca. That’s all ya need to know.”
Felix: “I suppose my betrothed when I was young would have been my first crush. Her name was Alison.”
Do you or your family have a “motto” – spoken or unspoken?
Lloire: “No. Not really. Maybe if I start one someday I’ll come up with one.”
K’risa: “Oh, like I’d forget what I hear time and time again. ‘One struggle, one people, one destiny.’”
Beta: “Noooope.”
Chadrick: “Ah’ll go with me ma’s. ‘Fortune favours tha bold.’”
Aasifa: “If Aasifa is having one… he is not knowing it, yes?”
Benedict: “As with miss Mau, I could not forget it if I tried. ‘Honour is the reward of virtue.’”
Chance: “No.”
Felix: “Hahaha. Yea, no.”
What do you do to keep fit?
Lloire: “Every morning is a fairly standard routine. Pushups, crunches, squats, a run… plus all the training and fighting.”
K’risa: “Keep fit? Do you all have to try to stay fit?”
Beta: “I guess all my time at the forge keeps me pretty fit. I mean, hammering stuff all day and working on magitek… it can be hard work.”
Chadrick: “Blitzball’s a pretty full body workout ye know. Outside o’ tha’… Ah find Ah di’nay need much else, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa and Lloire are similar here. Aasifa wakes and does morning exercises. It is ingrained in him since time first remembered.”
Benedict: “I am not so sure I am as fit as say Master Peace or Master Taqalid.”
Chance: “Work. Don’t need anything else.”
Felix: “Aya started me on a training regimen some many many years ago. I’ve stuck with it since.”
If you could live somewhere else from where you live now, where would it be?
Lloire: “Yanxia. It’s beautiful there.”
K’risa: “I’ve heard there is a land to the south that sounds amazing.”
Beta: “Idyllshire for sure. I wish I could now!”
Chadrick: “E’erywhere. Ah cannay imagine settlin’ down t’ any one spot.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is with friend Chadrick. The winds blow everywhere. So does Aasifa”
Benedict: “I… have not given that thought. There is still much of the world for me to see to rightly say. Lady Sayo has spoken much of the east and I’ve heard the Steepe is beautiful.”
Chance: “Where I live doesn’t matter. Where doesn’t make it home.”
Felix: “Hah. And packs like to keep on the move, right wolfboy? Dravania if I had to pick.”
If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
Lloire: “Danger of death, high voltage.”
K’risa: “Shocking.” *snickers* “Um Cat crossing? I don’t know. I’m not all that dangerous.”
Beta: “I unno, something like Warning, explosion hazards I guess?”
Chadrick: “Caution, ‘ot. Tha rest o’ ye are too damned serious.”
Aasifa: “Umm… This is strange question… Aasifa’s would say, warning… anger Aasifa and he will cut of your head. Is good warning, yes?”
Benedict: “I… I think that may be a bit on the nose Master Taqalid. I suppose mine would say Contents under pressure.”
Chance: “Wolf advisory in effect.”
Felix: “Seek shelter.”
How do you sleep? With clothes, fitfully or peacefully, lots of pillows?
Lloire: “Odd question… I have night clothes… a single pillow, and I imagine a bit more fitfully than many others.”
K’risa: “You poor thing. I um, have a nightgown. That’s all I’m telling!”
Beta: “Rarely and usually where I fall.”
Chadrick: “Godsdamn lad… Yer too young fer all o’ tha’. Get yer rest. Lots o’ pillows and quite peacefully.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa has bed made of cushions. He sleeps well. You should try it. Very comfortable.”
Benedict: “I spend most nights in inn rooms. They are comfortable enough.”
Chance: “Bedrolls more often than not. I sleep fine.”
Felix: “You don’t want to know… trust me. Suffice it to say… in velvet.”
Real quick, before you all leave. It was recently Valentione’s Day here is Eorzea. How did you feel about that holiday?
Lloire: “Tch… None of your business. My Shield Sister loves it though.”
K’risa: “I love it! I sold all kinds of cute lingerie!”
Beta: “Ikara and I always go out and enjoy the festivities. So I like it.”
Chadrick: “It’s a celebration o’ love, aye? Wha’s nay t’ like unless you’re tha’ gloomy type. Nay dating fer ye eh Lloire? Cut inta tha broodin’ time?”
Aasifa: “This festival was fun time! Aasifa and companion Rahya scared many moogles and then got chairs for our efforts, yes?”
Benedict: “I’m afraid I did not participate, though the decorations and festivities made Sunny quite happy.”
Chance: “…Yea, Lloire… I still owe you an asswhooping for that. She’s still laughing at me… ass.”
Felix: “The pink hurts my eyes… Heh, pinkeye. Hmm… maybe next year I’ll… huh? Oh, we’re done. Great.”
As always, thank you all for answering our readers’ questions. I think next round we’ll have another theme. Until then!

Kami Skill Vol. 1 Ch. 4 - Dungeon Guild and the First Dungeon
The guild receptionist --Anna talks with a smile.
"Basically, it's good to have a job that matches your skills. You can change jobs as your level goes up, and if you want to form a party, you can adapt to the people around you, but in the end, you're only one person♪"
Anna takes out a sign that says "Please wait a moment" and stands up. We were beckoned to a table in the back. It seems that this was done in consideration of not being heard by those around us.
"There are people who take 15-year-old adventurer rookies for sitting ducks, so be careful!"
"Yes, yes..."
"Wow, scary..."
"Well, in the beginning, we're always acting together and don't go too far to the edge of the dungeon. Be careful. But even so, Rana-kun, isn't your level so high?"
"Yes! I've been training in swordplay with one of our regular adventurers!"
"That's not the way you raise it... Well, it's fine. Instead, your skill is..."
"Yes. It's a skill I've never heard of..."
"【Breathing】. I don't recognize it either, but these kinds of things are not uncommon. Don't worry about it♪ Maybe it's a skill that allows you to breathe underwater?"
"Oh, I get it…!"
I am impressed.
"And you know, not everything is written in the status column. It's often written in a pretty vague way."
"Is that so?"
"Will you two party together?"
"Um,"
"Yes! I'll form one! I want to make a party with Ra-kun!"
Pierina insists while making a goofy face.
I guess it's because last night I said we shouldn't have a party after all.
"You don't want to have a party? Why?"
"Well there's a bit of a backstory, and my goal is to dive to the lowest level in a year. That would require me to be quite reckless, and it could be dangerous....... I can't involve Pierina in this, too."
"No, you can't abandon me now!"
"Yes Yes ♪ Stop Stop ♪ Rana-kun, I really hope you don't want to answer this, but why one year?"
I was a bit hesitant,
"To tell you the truth-"
And I tell her about my sister's condition.
"The [Witch of the North]........ I see......... Come to think of it, I received a request like that..."
"I heard about that too! So I wanted to help! But Ra-kun!"
"Yes, yes ♪ Rana-kun is worried about Pierina-chan. Isn't it hard for you to do this by yourself? I mean, I don't think it's possible. To get to the lowest level that no one has ever gotten to, in less than a year, by yourself."
But when I tried to argue with her,
"But you're not alone. You have a partner you can count on, so maybe you can do it♪"
"But……"
"And Pierina-chan, if he leaves, you'll still come along, won't you?"
"Yes, Ra-kun! I'll stick with you forever! Because it's going to be super!"
"Don't.... No, yeah, okay. Let's form a party, Pierina."
"………………"
Pierina's face instantly lit up.
"Yeah!"
"I'm smiling♪ I hope it doesn't turn out badly for you two♪"
Anna said, still smiling and making me uneasy. Scary.
"Well, let's get back on track and choose your job class. Here you go."
She showed me a sheet. It shows various job titles and descriptions.
――――――――――――――――――
・You can choose from the following 6 basic job titles.
☆ Martial Artist...Able to move quickly to win in a single move and, as their level increases, is able to use ki to strike a powerful blow.
☆ Warrior...The core of the party who can equip heavy weapons and protective gear. Good at both attacking and defending.
☆ Mage...They can defeat enemies from afar with powerful attack magic. If you get too close, they'll have to resort to x
☆ Monk...Able to heal wounds. They are not good at offensive magic, but they can use light weapons.
☆ Thief...Although they have low fighting ability, they can learn many skills necessary for exploring dungeons.
☆ Clown (male)/Dancer (female)...Fun to have around. They make the party more lively.
※You can change jobs at Lv20. It is also possible to transfer to an upgraded job.
※We recommend a party of up to four people. This is due to the characteristics of transfer crystals.
・When your job level goes up, you will learn skills. It could be magic or swordsmanship.
・Example) At Warrior level 5, you will learn the skill [Swordsmanship Lv5].
・Example) At Mage level 1, you will learn the skill [Fire Light].
――――――――――――――――――
I ask.
"What is this upgraded job?"
"Literally, it's a job that ranks above the standard jobs♪ For warriors, there's [Berserker], or [Holy Knight]. For mages, there's [Archmage], and so on. It's very difficult to earn one♪"
"You need to be at least level 20, right?"
"In addition to that, there are all kinds of tests. It's very difficult."
"Oh, really?"
"Most adventurers settle down around level 15, so there aren't many of them. Rana-kun, you should definitely try to go for it too!"
"Yes!"
An upgraded job, huh? I'd like to get one someday... or rather, you probably can't reach the lowest level until you're that accomplished, I'm sure.
I selected [Thief] as my job. It's because it seems to be useful in many ways, and if you don't have a Thief, you can't explore dungeons. The [starting equipment] was a dagger, two knives and chest armor. The guild provided me with them.
My status that I got from the guild was like this.
Name: Rana Prata Human: Lv25 Thief: Lv1 HP: 40 MP: 0 Attack: 30 Defense: 25 Agility: 50 Abilities: Lockpicking Lv1, Detect Lv1, Tracking Lv1 Skill: 【Breathing】 You can breathe in and out.
The number written next to 'human' is the [plain level]. This is the plain level Anna was talking about earlier. People who don't have an adventurer's job class are marked with their combat ability level next to their race.
I was surprised to see that my level had reached 25. Normally, until about the age of 20, your age equals your plain level, which means I'm 10 levels above the average.
It was worth it to learn the sword from a strong adventurer. I'll have to thank him next time.
Below that is the job title and its level.
If you choose an adventurer's job class, your status will increase far more than a colorless plane.
By the way, plain is not "no job" but instead "colorless". I've heard it means that you are not colored by a guild job. My father is also plain, but he's an innkeeper, so he's not unemployed.
But that's not the point.
"Pierina, you're a [mage] ♪ Of course this is the best way to make use of your skills ♪"
"Yes!"
This is Pierina's status. She has already learned one skill. It's probably because she chose the job of a mage. I'm jealous of her skills as they seem strong.
Name: Pierina La Mode Human: Lv14 Mage: Lv1 HP: 14 MP: 20 Attack: 14 Defense: 14 Agility: 14 Abilities:Fire Light: Consumed MP: 2 Skill: 【The Blessing of the Witch】 You can easily learn magic. Magic effects increase.
And so it goes.
About two hours after we arrived at the guild's reception desk.
We were standing at the entrance of the dungeon wearing the 【Initial Equipment】 that we were provided with.
"Alright, let's go, Pierina!"
"Oh!"
It was my first dungeon.
I've always wanted to be an adventurer since I was a kid.
--Just wait and see, Mary. I'll wake you up, I promise.
Pierina and I nodded to each other and we took the first step.
"Let's start with the first level today."
"Yes!"
When I suggested this, Pierina raised her hand.
She said there are a total of 100 layers in the dungeon. No one has ever reached the bottom, but that's just what the queen says.
Fortunately, the guild will provide you with a map until the fifth level. There are lights here and there on the path up to that point, so there's little chance of getting lost.
The first level is wide and there are many adventurers coming and going. It's no surprise that this is the starting point.
Most people were walking on the same route. Is it a stairway to the second layer, or a teleport point?
Our goal for today is to go around the first layer, so we're outside the flow of people.
The girl at the reception desk - Anna said, "The first three days are the easiest to die on ♪ If you don't want to turn Pierina-chan into goblin x, please be careful ♪". Scary.
Pierina didn't really understand the meaning.
Well, she's that kind of person.
Pierina is humming cheerfully.
"You're having fun, Pierina"
"Yeah! I'm finally on an adventure with Ra-kun!"
"Hah, you also wanted to be an adventurer?"
"It's not so much about the adventure. It's about being with Ra-kun"
"Mary would be surprised to hear that."
"Oh I'm sorry, it's for Mary's sake.... We shouldn't be having fun, should we?"
Pierina winces.
This isn't right. Let me set the record straight.
"No, don't worry about it. If you're too tense, you won't be able to do well. In fact, you'll be more effective if you enjoy yourself."
"Is that right? But we need to help Mary as soon as possible..."
"This isn't like you, Pierina. This is a rescue mission, okay? Those who help are calm and collected. And be quick. If you push yourself too hard, it won't work."
"If Big Brother Ra, says so..."
Yes, I can't be hit by this soul-burning frustration that is killing me. I have to endure this heart-rending pain. I'll never dare to forget Mary even if it was necessary to save her.
"-- Diego says it too."
"Diego, the swordsman?"
"Yeah. He's an adventurer who sometimes stays at our inn. He's my teacher."
"Right," said Pierina.
"Let's have fun!"
"Let's do our best!"
"Oh!"
And at the same time Pierina raised her staff, something fell from above.
A light blue wobbly object - no, a monster.
It's a slime.

Cardcaptor Sakura Drama CD #1: “Sakura and Her Mother's Organ” Translation
A couple weeks back @meimi-haneoka posted a link to the first of the CCS drama CDs on Discord, so I thought I’d give translating it a shot. It’s about 48 minutes long so finding the time to actually sit down and do it took a while, but here it is. Glad I made it before Mothers’ Day. :)
The story takes place sometime during Season 1 (shortly after Syaoran has arrived in Japan) and has to do with a dream Sakura has about her mother playing the organ for her.
You can listen to the drama CD here on Nico Nico Douga if you have an account or here if you don’t. Please note that I didn’t translate the opening song.
☆★Translation Note Reminder★☆

<An organ can be heard playing> Sakura: <Dreaming> The sound of an organ…? I wonder who’s playing it. This is the sound of the organ in dad’s room. The only people who can play the organ in our family are Onii-chan and… mom. This has got to be mom! Mom is playing it. <Alarm clock goes off> Sakura: Ahhh. Kero: Morning!! Sakura: Ah man, I was having such a good dream… Kero: Oh? What kind of dream? Sakura: I could hear an organ playing a very gentle song… Kero: Hm… so it seems like it didn’t have anything to do with the Clow Cards, huh? Sakura: I don’t think so. It wasn’t a scary dream at all. It made me feel warm and fuzzy and happy. Kero: It might’ve been a nice feeling, but it’s raining today… Sakura: Huh? <Sakura goes to check> Sakura: Hoeee!? But we were supposed to go swimming for P.E. today! Kero: That’s too bad too. Since it’s raining, doesn’t that mean you won’t be able to roller blade to school? <Sakura getting anxious> Kero: And since you won’t be able to roller blade to school, doesn’t that mean it’s pretty late for you right now?
[Note; he says “doesn’t this mean it’s ‘danger time’ for you?”]
<Sakura getting really anxious> Sakura: I’m LAAATE!!! Kero: What a promising development…
<Opening jingle for the episode>
Sakura: Good morning! Fujitaka: Good morning, Sakura-san. Sakura: Good morning, dad! Touya: Did you oversleep again, monster? Sakura: I’m not a monster! Touya: You oversleep every single day. You just can’t wake up, can you? Sakura: It’s not like I’m doing it on purpose. Touya: I guess it’s a behavior after all… Sakura: A behavior? Touya: Sleeping is Monster Sakura behavior. Sakura: What did you say!? Fujitaka: It’s raining today, so wouldn’t it be better for you two to leave early? Sakura: Yeah. <Sakura eating quickly> Sakura: <to Touya> You say such mean things (starting) from early in the morning. Touya: I haven’t said anything mean. It’s just a fact that you’re a monster. Sakura: I’m not a monster! <Fujitaka gives Sakura a notebook> Fujitaka: Sakura-san, here. Sakura: Thank you! Touya: What’s that notebook? Sakura: It’s a parent-teacher contact notebook. Fujitaka: The teachers write announcements to the parents and the parents can write back with comments to the teachers. Touya: Oh yeah. I had one of those when I was in elementary school. Sakura: Hey, hey! What was it like when you were in elementary school? Touya: Huh? Sakura: Was it completely different from now? Or was it the same? Fujitaka: What’s gotten into you so suddenly? Sakura: It’s just that, onii-chan knows everything about me since I was little, but I don’t know anything about when he was little. Touya: That goes without saying, doesn’t it? You’re younger than me. Sakura: But somehow it feels unfair. Fujitaka: He was a kind and well behaved boy. Sakura: What!? Really!? Touya: Stop saying nothing but dumb things. Aren’t you gunna be late if you don’t hurry up and eat? Sakura: Ah! That’s right! Fujitaka: You were a good older brother, weren’t you? Touya: I don’t remember.
<Sakura and Touya leave for school> Fujitaka: Take care! Sakura & Touya: We’re off! Sakura: I don’t like the rain. Touya: If it doesn’t rain, we’d have to deal with a water shortage, right? Sakura: I know that, but I really don’t like it when it rains on days when I’m looking forward to outings or P.E. class. Touya: Mom likes the rain though. Sakura: Mom does? Touya: She said she likes it because it’s as if the sky is singing. <Sakura listens> Sakura: It’s true… But I’m surprised! Touya: Huh? Sakura: Because you brought up mom all of the sudden. I happened to have a dream about her today. Touya: A dream about mom? Sakura: Yeah. It wasn’t like I saw her face or anything, but I could hear the sound. Touya: The sound of her voice? Sakura: No, I don’t remember her voice. Um, it was the sound of the organ. I think it was the organ in dad’s room. I could hear a really lovely song, but the only person who can play the organ in our family is you, right? But the sound felt a bit different from when you play. It was gentle and lovely and in my dream I thought “Ah! That’s mom playing!” Um, it was this song… <Sakura hums the song> Sakura: But I woke up in the middle of it and couldn’t listen to the end. I want to hear it again properly… Onii-chan? What's wrong? Touya: It’s nothing… Ah, Yuki. Sakura: Eh!? Where? Where? Yukito: Morning! Sakura: Good morning. Yukito: Good morning, Sakura-chan. It’s been raining since this morning, hasn’t it? Touya: G’morning. Yukito: Ah… Touya… Touya: Huh? Yukito: Nah, I’ll tell you later. Touya: Okay. Yukito: Sakura-chan, it’s a shame that it’s raining today. Sakura: Why’s that? Yukito: Don’t you have P.E. today? You said before that you have P.E. Wednesday. Sakura: Yukito-san… Yukito: You always look forward to P.E. because you like it… Sakura: Ah, but but – I like Japanese class too. Our Japanese teacher Midori-sensei is so nice… Yukito: Oh, you have Japanese class today too? Do your best! Sakura: I will! <Sound of everyone walking- time passes> Sakura: Ah… we’re already at school. Touya: Study hard! Yukito: See you later! Sakura: Yu-ki-to-saaan! <School bell rings> Sakura: Hoeee!! I’m really gunna be late!
<Scene switches back to Touya and Yukito> Touya: What were you gunna say back there? Yukito: Hm? …Is there something you’re worried about? Touya: Why? Yukito: I just got that feeling when I met up with you just now. Touya: What’s that about? Yukito: I was right. Touya: It’s not exactly a worry. Yukito: Can you tell me about it? Touya: Yeah… Yukito: Is it about Sakura-chan? Touya: Tch, like I said, what’s that all about? Yukito: Because you worry about Sakura-chan the most. <Touya is silent> Yukito: Looks like I was right again. Touya: Hmph. Yukito: Did something happen to Sakura-chan? Touya: She said she had a dream about our mom. Yukito: What kind of dream? Touya: A dream about mom playing the organ. She doesn't remember anything about mom other than photos of her. Yukito: Did your mother play the organ a lot? Touya: Yeah. She would play it to help Sakura fall asleep. She liked music. Yukito: Sakura was similar to your mother in that way too. Touya: Mom was the one who taught me how to play music. The organ, the violin, everything. She said that when Sakura got older she'd teach her a different instrument and would often laugh about us playing an ensemble together someday. Yukito: What about your father? Touya: Dad's good at sports, but he's not great with music. Yukito: Really? That's unexpected. Touya: Sakura said she wants to hear the organ song she heard in her dream again. Yukito: Touya, did you not learn that song from your mother? Touya: She passed on before I could. Yukito: I see. Touya: That song, huh...
<Scene changes to Sakura's class> Sakura: Good morning! Classmates: Good morning. Sakura: I just barely made it! Rika: It must've been so hard because of the rain! Sakura: Rika-chan, your house is the farthest away, so wasn't it harder for you than me? Rika: Nope, I left a little early today so I was fine. Chiharu: It was so hot yesterday, wasn't it? So I opened my window a bit, but then the rain (came) this morning... Sakura: If I remember right, you had stuffed animals by your window in your room, didn't you? Chiharu: Yeah, I did... Rika: Were they okay? Chiharu: Yeah, they just got a little bit wet. Naoko: My mother had a hard time getting to work and was troubled about it. Sakura: Your mother's work is far away, isn't it? Naoko: She takes the train, so she said it was going to be crowded. Yamazaki: The teacher will be here soon, so get back to your seats. Students: Okay! Naoko: Yamazaki-kun is doing a good job. Chiharu: That's because he's a class representative, even though he tells lies... Tomoyo: Good morning. Sakura: Tomoyo-chan, good morning! Tomoyo: Good morning, Sakura-chan. Sakura: It's really unusual for you to be cutting it close (for class). Tomoyo: I was up a little late last night. Sakura: What were you doing? Tomoyo: I was making a costume for a Clow Card capture. Sakura: Hoeee... Tomoyo: I've got to work hard so that you can look cuter and cuter! Sakura: Auhh.... Ah, Li-kun! Good morning. Syaoran: Good morning. Sakura: Were you a little late this morning too? Syaoran: This is the first time it's rained this hard since I came to Japan, so Wei said I had to wear a raincoat... My raincoat was at the bottom of my dresser, so it took an hour to look for it. Sakura: Who did you said told you to wear it? Syaoran: Nevermind. Sakura: H-hoe... Tomoyo: <To Sakura> Li-kun is your rival for finding the Clow Cards, so that can't be helped. Sakura: Y-yeah... Tomoyo: He's your rival in love too, wasn't he? Sakura: T-Tomoyo-chan...
<Scene changes to class> Ms. Midori: Now about the homework I passed out last week during Japanese class - the essay on "Living with an Animal" - you all did very well! Students: <All respond happily> Ms. Midori: Yamazaki-kun's essay "Long Ago Animals All Used to Walk on Two Legs" was very interesting! Yamazaki-kun, your essays are always so imaginative. Chiharu: Yamazaki-kun's essays aren't imaginative, they're (full of) lies. Yamazaki: <Laughs> Ms. Midori: Yanagisawa-san, your essays are always so well written. I always look forward to reading them. Rika: That's great, Naoko-chan! Naoko: Yeah! I'm happy. Ms. Midori: And also, Kinomoto-san. Sakura: Y-yes! Ms. Midori: Your story was also good. A story about if a stuffed animal with wings could speak. It sounds like you'd like to live with an orange stuffed animal who can talk. Sakura: Y-yes... Ms. Midori: It was such a lovely essay saying it would be nice if the stuffed animal could speak Osaka Dialect. It was written creatively, but you used such detail that it's almost as if you really live with this stuffed animal. Sakura: <Nervous laughing> Tomoyo: Did you write about Kero-chan? Sakura: Yeah. Syaoran: It wasn't creativity, but because you actually have a talking stuffed animal close to you. Ms. Midori: It wasn't just this class, but the essays from the other classes were also written very well. So all of the teachers discussed this, and we've decided to hold a Tomoeda Elementary School Essay Contest. Students: <Surprised> Ms. Midori: The winner will recite their winning essay for us at a recital.
[Lit: presentation].
Students: <Excited> Ms. Midori: The teachers will do their best reading your essays, so please do your best writing them too. Students: Okay! Ms. Midori: Now then, the theme of the essay contest is... <Writes on the blackboard> ...(Your) families. Students: <React excitedly> Sakura: Families, huh...
<Scene changes to Sakura and Tomoyo walking home from school> Sakura: Families, huh... Tomoyo-chan, who will you write about? Tomoyo: Hm... I suppose my mother, after all. I could write about our maids too, but they're a bit different from family. How about you? Sakura: I can't write about Kero-chan again... It would be nice to write about Dad or onii-chan, but... Tomoyo: But? Sakura: I want to write about mom. <Time passes as they walk home> Tomoyo: Ah! You had a dream about your mother? Sakura: Yes, but it wasn't like I saw her in the dream. Because it was a dream about her playing the organ. But it's strange! My mom died when I was 3-years-old. There's no way I should remember how she played the organ. Tomoyo: No, I'm sure that was Ms. Nadeshiko.
[Lit: She calls her Nadeshiko-obasama]
Sakura: Huh? Tomoyo: My mother used to say it. Ms. Nadeshiko really loved music and could play any instrument very well. Sakura: But... there's no way I should remember... Tomoyo: You can use magic, Sakura-chan. It's not unusual that you have a memory from when you were 3-years-old. Sakura: I wonder if that's true... <After walking for a bit> Tomoyo-chan, you go this way, right? See you tomorrow! Tomoyo: Yes, see you tomorrow! <They start to part ways but she calls out to Sakura> ...Sakura-chan! Sakura: What is it? Tomoyo: I think it's best to write the essay the way you want to. You could ask your father & brother about the things you don't know. Sakura: Yeah, that's true. Then I'll write about mom after all! Tomoyo: Yes! Please let me read it too. Sakura: Sure!
<Commercial break music>
<Sakura returns home> Sakura: I'm home! Fujitaka: Welcome home. Sakura: It's dad! <Runs to see Fujitaka> ...I'm home! Fujitaka: Welcome back. It was raining so you must've had a hard time. Sakura: Dad! Fujitaka: ...Yes? Sakura: Can you tell me about mom? Fujitaka: What? <Fujitaka gives Sakura tea> Fujitaka: Have some tea. Sakura: Thank you. I'm sorry for surprising you. Fujitaka: It's alright. You were so (enthusiastic), so I just wondered what had happened. So you'll write about Nadeshiko-san for the upcoming essay contest.
[Lit: You were so frantic...]
Sakura: Yeah! I love you too, Dad. And onii-chan is mean, but it's not like I hate him. There's a lot I want to write about, but if someone meets you or onii-chan they'll understand what you're like, right? But that's impossible in mom's case... And (our teacher said) the winner of the contest will get to recite their essay in front of everyone's parents! If I do that, then a lot of people will understand how wonderful mom was! Fujitaka: That's right. Sakura: I'll do my best! So dad, please tell me a lot about mom! Fujitaka: Okay. Sakura: Okay then let's get started. I have my mechanical pencil and my notebook... Fujitaka: Then let's eat snacks in the living room while we do this. Oh, I have those cookies I told you about earlier too. Sakura: Yay! <Scene changes to living room> Sakura: Wow, so the very first place you met mom was at school. Fujitaka: Yes. Nadeshiko-san was a student at the first school I was posted at. Sakura: Hoeee! So then the first place you must've met was the classroom? Fujitaka: No, it was underneath a tree. Sakura: Hoe?? Fujitaka: An angel fell from the sky on top of me.
<Flashback to when Nadeshiko is trying to return a baby bird to it's nest> Sonomi: No, Nadeshiko! It's dangerous! Come down right now! Nadeshiko: I'm fine, Sonomi-chan! Just a little bit more... Sonomi: A little bit more!? Climbing a tree that high isn't possible with your reflexes! I'll do it! Nadeshiko: It's fine! Just a little more... A little bit more... Reached it! There's your nest. Don't fall down again. It's dangerous. <Nadeshiko slips and falls> Ahhh!! Sonomi: Nadeshiko!! <Nadeshiko lands on Fujitaka> Nadeshiko: <thinking> Huh? It doesn't hurt. There was something beneath me? <Realizes it's Fujitaka> Ah!! Fujitaka: Are you okay? Nadeshiko: I'm sorry! I fell on top of you, didn't I? Fujitaka: It's okay. It was nothing. What about you? Are you okay? Nadeshiko: Yes. Fujitaka: I thought an angel fell out of the sky. <Flashback ends>
Sakura: An angel, huh... Mom was really beautiful like an angel, wasn't she? Fujitaka: She was kind, beautiful, and a wonderful person. Sakura: Hey, hey! When you got married, who said it first? Fujitaka: You mean who proposed? Sakura: Yeah. Fujitaka: M- no... I think it was Nadeshiko-san. Sakura: Really?
<Flashback to proposal; Nadeshiko and Fujitaka are under the tree where they met> Nadeshiko: This is the place I first met you, Kinomoto-sensei. I fell out of this tree on top of you. Fujitaka: That's right. Nadeshiko: What did you want to talk about? Fujitaka: I don't have any relatives and I'm just starting out as a teacher and may cause nothing but trouble for you. And I can't see mysterious things like you can... but I always want to be with you. Nadeshiko: Sensei... Fujitaka: I can't promise that I will make you happy, but will you- Nadeshiko: It's okay. Fujitaka: Huh? Nadeshiko: Saying that you want to make me happy is strange. Happiness is being together. Fujitaka: Nadeshiko-san... Nadeshiko: If we're together, we will definitely be happy. So let's get married. <Flashback ends>
Sakura: Wahh!! So mom proposed to you! Fujitaka: The truth is, I was supposed to say it... Sakura: But just looking at her photos, she seems like such a day-dreamy person. Fujitaka: She was a day-dreamy and mild-mannered person. And really terrible at remembering people's faces. She was always troubled in her modeling work because she'd forget the faces of people she'd just met. Sakura: Hoeee... Fujitaka: But she said there were a few people she was able to remember just by meeting them once. Sakura: Who, who!? Fujitaka: Her mother, her father, her grandfather who loved her very much, Sonomi-san, me, Touya, and you of course. Sakura: Me too?? Fujitaka: Yes. She looked so happy when both Touya and you were born. Of course, I was happy too. Sakura: <Giggling> When did mom start doing her modeling job? Fujitaka: It seems the first time was when she was about 6-years-old. She said she was begged to appear in a television commercial for the children's clothing company of an acquaintance and did it. Sakura: Wahh! I would love to see that! Have you seen it? Fujitaka: As expected, I haven't seen that either. It looks like it's not around even at her parent's home anymore. After that she was somehow or other asked to appear on TV and in magazines by her grandfather and father's acquaintances' company up to elementary school. It seems like she quit around when she entered middle school.
[Note; could be "companies" too possibly]
Sakura: I wonder why... Fujitaka: She was a gentle person, so I think she might've disliked a job like modeling where there are lots of intense changes. Sakura: Hmm... But she did modeling again, didn't she? Fujitaka: That's because Nadeshiko-san had a dream. Sakura: A dream?
<Flashback to Nadeshiko and Fujitaka having a conversation> Fujitaka: Is it really okay? If you overdo it again, you'll- Nadeshiko: I'm not overdoing it. I'm happy that there's a job that I can do. Fujitaka: But, Nadeshiko-san, you said you didn't care for modeling work, right? Nadeshiko: Yes. But I have a dream. Fujitaka: A dream? Nadeshiko: A home with me, you, and our children. Even if it's small, that's fine. A house with a triangular roof in a town filled with lots greenery and with many blossoming flowers. That's my dream. So I have to do everything I can. Fujitaka: Nadeshiko-san... Nadeshiko: I hope we have children soon. They'll definitely be a boy and a girl.
[Lit: I want to have children soon]
Fujitaka: Is that your usual mysterious sixth sense? Nadeshiko: <Laughs> If we have a boy, he will be Touya-kun. If we have a girl, I will definitely name her Sakura. Sakura-chan. <Flashback ends>
Fujitaka: And then you were really born, Sakura-san. Sakura: So mom knew that she was going to have a boy and a girl. Fujitaka: It seems that Nadeshiko-san had a sixth sense. She could see things that I couldn't and had amazing perception. I think those things may have been passed down to Touya-kun.
[Lit: ...had a mysterious power]
Sakura: Onii-chan is that way too, right? Fujitaka: It was hard for him when he was young. He didn't realize that what he could see was different from what other people could see. He would say things like "Who is that half-transparent old woman sitting over there?" or "Why is everyone walking through that woman standing in the cafe?" Sakura: H-hoeeee... Fujitaka: Ah, I'm sorry! You're not good with these kind of stories, are you? I couldn't see anything at all, so I wasn't sure how to respond to him. So, Nadeshiko-san would say... Sakura: What would she say? Fujitaka: She'd say "If the strange things you can see aren't scary, then you can definitely become friends with them. It's great that you can make more friends than other people."
[Lit: It’s great that you have more choices for friends than other people do.]
Sakura: She was really a wonderful mother. Fujitaka: Yes. Nadeshiko-san isn't here now, but I'm sure we can meet her again. I don't really understand reincarnation, but if I'm ever reborn and meet her again, I will marry her. Sakura: If I'm ever reborn, I want to be yours and mom's daughter. Fujitaka: Of course! I'd want to be yours and Touya-kun's father too. Sakura: <Laughs> Touya: I'm home! Fujitaka: Welcome home! Sakura: Welcome home! Touya: What have you been doing in the living room? Sakura: I've been listening to stories about mom. Touya: Wha? Sakura: We're having an essay contest at school. The theme is our families. Touya: And so... (yours is about) mom? Sakura: Yeah! Dad told me a lot of stories. Fujitaka: Does it look like you'll be able to write (about her)? Sakura: Yeah! Ah... Fujitaka: What's wrong? Sakura: Nothing. I had a dream about mom this morning. Mom was playing the organ. It was a beautiful, really gentle song. But I woke up in the middle of it. I was just thinking if I could hear the rest of that song, I'd be able to write an even better essay. That the organ mom played for me is the best in the world. Touya: Sakura... Sakura: The organ I heard in my dream couldn't have been mom though. There's no way I could've remembered that. Thanks, dad! We should start getting dinner ready soon, right? Fujitaka: Ah, you're right. It's already this late. We'll have dinner ready soon, okay, Touya-kun? Touya: Okay. Sakura: I'll go get changed. Ah, and I'll help out because you told me a lot of stories, okay? Fujitaka: Thank you. Let's see. Today we have to cut potatoes, and then... Touya: Mom's organ, huh. Mom...
<Scene changes to Sakura & Kero talking> Kero: Hmm... it's an essay where you write about your family, then huh? Sakura: Midori-sensei praised me for the one I wrote before in Japanese class today too. Kero: Ahh that's great! It was that one you wrote before that she praised? The "Living with an Animal" one? Sakura: Yeah! That's the one. Kero: So what did you write about in the end? I was focused on chowing down on modanyaki at that time...
[Lit: I was frantically eating modanyaki...; This is modanyaki]
Sakura: Eh!? Um, well... that's... You want to know? Kero: Yeah! Sakura: Y-you won't get mad? Kero: Why would I get mad? Sakura: Just promise you won't get mad? Kero: I'm always gentle, so there's no way I'd get mad! Sakura: I wrote about... y-you. Kero: ABOUT ME!?! AHHH!! {*I told you I'm not a pet!!*} Sakura: Wahhh you said you wouldn't get angry!! Kero: MAN!!! JEEZ!!! Ahhh whatever! I'll forgive you this time. Sakura: Really? Kero: But in exchange! The next time you're in charge of dinner, you're making modanyaki!! Sakura: Ehh!? But onii-chan will (tease) me again saying "Is that all you can make?"
[Lit: ...will say to me again]
Kero: What's wrong with modanyaki!? I'd be fine with eating that everyday! Sakura: Okay, I get it. (I'll make) modanyaki. Kero: Yay, yay, modanyaki~! So then, if you're having a contest, that means there will be an award or something, right? Sakura: Yeah. Kero: If there's an award, that means there'll be some kind of prize? Sakura: M-maybe... Kero: I wonder if there will be sweets in the prize! Something sweet or something tasty~! Sakura: Sweets?? That's... It's a -school- prize, so it'd be more like a notebook or a pencil case or something... Kero: Do your best, Sakura!! You'll bring back that prize for me!! Yeah!!! <Singing> Sweets, sweets, delicious sweets!! Sakura: Kero-chan... Kero: <Still singing> Really, really tasty sweets!! Sakura: Are you listening...? Kero: <Still singing> Delicious sweets that are mine, mine~! Wa-hoo!!
<Scene changes to Touya and Fujitaka> Touya: Could I use your room for a little bit dad? Fujitaka: That's fine, of course, but are you looking for something? Touya: No, it's not that.. Fujitaka: It's alright. The books I was reading yesterday are still (all over the place) though.
[Lit: The books I was reading yesterday are still as they were though]
Touya: Thanks. And... could I ask to be left alone?
[Lit: Sorry (for the trouble)]
Fujitaka: That's fine. Ah, dinner will be soon though! Touya: The lights... it's better if I don't turn them on, I guess. Mom's organ is just the same as it always was. <Starts practicing> Mom. Mom, you're here, aren't you? Nadeshiko: You noticed me after all. Touya: You look so young. Nadeshiko: Really? Touya: You look about the same age as me. Nadeshiko: So about how I was when I met Fujitaka-san. Touya: What are those wings on your back? Nadeshiko: It's a secret. Touya: You were in the living room a minute ago, weren't you? Nadeshiko: Because Sakura-chan was troubled. Touya: Did you show her that dream she had about you today? Nadeshiko: No, Sakura-chan remembered that (on her own). (She remembered the song) that I played (on) this organ when she was small. The organ that Fujitaka-san gave me on my birthday.
[Lit: ...Sakura-chan remembered that for me]
Touya: Sakura wanted to hear that song from her dream through to the end. She said she woke up in the middle of it. Nadeshiko: <Laughs> She gets that oversleeping (habit) from me. Touya: She said (the sound) was a little different from when I play. Nadeshiko: That song... I hadn't taught it to you yet. Touya: Could you let her hear that song one more time? Even if it's in a dream. Nadeshiko: For her essay, right? Touya: Yeah. Nadeshiko: But, hearing it while awake would be better than hearing it in a dream, wouldn't it? Touya: Yeah, that's true, but that's impossible given the circumstances. Nadeshiko: It's not impossible. There's someone who can play it well right here. Touya: Wait, you don't mean... Nadeshiko: I'll teach you.
<Scene changes to Sakura and Fujitaka> Sakura: Are these blue plates okay, dad? Fujitaka: Yes, please. <They can hear the organ from upstairs> Sakura: Huh? I can hear something... Fujitaka: The organ, I think? Sakura: It is... That's onii-chan, isn't it? Fujitaka: Yeah. He said he wanted to use my room for a bit. Sakura: I'll go check (on him). Fujitaka: Wait! Sakura: Hoe? Fujitaka: Touya-kun told me that he wanted to be left alone. Sakura: Hoe?
<Scene changes to Touya and Nadeshiko> Nadeshiko: You're having trouble moving your fingers?
[Lit: Your fingers can't move?]
Touya: It's been too long since I've done this. Nadeshiko: If you can play like this even though a lot of time has passed since you quit, you'll be fine. Ah right there. You need to hit that note a little more precisely. Touya: M-my finger cramped. Nadeshiko: <Laughs> You used to say that a lot when you were little too. Touya: I'm not really a skillful person. Nadeshiko: That's not true. You were good at all of the instruments I taught you. The reason you stopped is because it would make Sakura-chan cry. Touya: She's completely forgotten about it now, but when she was small whenever I'd play something she'd say that it sounded exactly the same as you. At first she would be happy, but then afterwards she'd say "Where is mom?" and cry. Even though she'd only heard them when she was 2 or 3-years-old, Sakura remembered (the sound) of the organ, the violin, everything... (She remembered) what songs you would play and how you would play them. Nadeshiko: That's because Sakura-chan inheirited some of my abilities. Touya-kun... Touya: Hm? Nadeshiko: Thank you for protecting Sakura-chan. Touya: I haven't done anything... Nadeshiko: You don't have to be shy about it. I know very well that you've always protected Sakura-chan. That's because I'm your mother.
<Scene changes to Sakura and Fujitaka> Sakura: Onii-chan is late... Dinner will get cold... Fujitaka: Yeah. Why don't you eat first? Sakura: No, I'm waiting... <Touya stops playing> Ah, it stopped! Touya: Sakura! Sakura: Hey, it's dinner time! Touya: It's fine, just come here for a minute! Sakura: But dinner's waiting! Fujitaka: Go see him. I'm sure he has (a reason for calling you). Sakura: <Annoyed> Man, onii-chan... <Sakura goes to Fujitaka's room> Sakura: Onii-chan, dinner was ready a while ago. Touya: Take a seat over there. Sakura: Wha? What about dinner? Touya: Just do it. Sakura: Jeez... <Sits down> Touya: I'm only going to do this once. Sakura: Do what? <Touya plays the song Nadeshiko taught him from Sakura's dream> Sakura: This is... the song from my dream? <Continues listening to Touya playing> It's the same as my dream. <Continues listening> It's the same as the one mom was playing. <Continues listening> Mom... <Touya finishes the song> Fujitaka: <Claps> Sakura: Ah! Fujitaka: It's been quite a while since you've played the organ. Touya: This is (the song) you wanted to hear, right? Sakura: Yeah! But I feel like it's somehow different from how I remember your playing. It's almost as if... Fujitaka: ...Nadeshiko-san was playing. Sakura: Yeah! Touya: <Chuckles> Sorry to keep you waiting, dad. Let's go eat. Fujitaka: I'll reheat the side dishes. Sakura: It was really the same as mom playing in my dream. <Sound of Nadeshiko's spirit in the room> H-hoe? Did someone touch my cheek just now? It was a very kind (touch)... Fujitaka: <From downstairs> Let's have dinner! Sakura: O-okay! Nadeshiko: Do your best on your essay.
<Scene changes to the essay winner's recitation> Yamazaki: I think there are questions that arise for everyone here. The biggest question is why has the topic of "Keseran Paseran" come up when the (contest) theme is families? Here I must explain one other theory about "Keseran Paseran"...
[Note; Facepalming forever at Yamazaki... These little things are "Keseran Paseran" - according to folklore, they're mysterious little creatures that appear as dandelion-like fluff balls.]
Sakura: <Nervously> It's almost time! Chiharu: It's okay! The weather has been nice since this morning. You like sunny days, right Sakura-chan? Yamazaki: <Reciting in the background> ...Since long ago "Keseran Paseran" have been thought of as fairies that live in castles... Sakura: That's true, but... Rika: It's okay! You're good at reading books, Sakura-chan. Sakura: B-but... Yamazaki: <Reciting in the background> ...But are you aware that there is also a theory that they're creatures from outer space?... Naoko: Your essay won the highest award, Sakura-chan! If you calm down and (just) read, you will be fine. Yamazaki: <Reciting in the background> ...has been said, but to people in the know it's an outrageously pardonable theory... Sakura: It's that calming down part that I can't do... Hoeee!! Yamazaki-kun is finishing up already! Students: Shhh... Yamazaki: <Reciting in the background> ...It seems as though many people think that "Keseran Paseran" can't move, but that's not true. I saw it with my own eyes! A "Keseran Paseran" sprinting at a speed of over 50 kilometers! Tomoyo: It was really such a wonderful essay. Everyone here will surely understand how much you love your mother and what a wonderful person Ms. Nadeshiko was. Sakura: T-thank you, Tomoyo-chan. Syaoran: Yamazaki's finished. Sakura: O-o-okay! Syaoran: What's wrong? Do you have stage fright? Sakura: Hoeee... Tomoyo: Just relax... Sakura: <Whimpering>
<Scene changes to in the crowd> Yukito: Sakura-chan's up next, right? Touya: Yeah. Yukito: Winning the top prize is amazing... Touya: Don't you think it's just a fluke? Yukito: <Chuckling> Saying such mean things again... By the way, what's with the bandage on your finger? Touya: Huh? My finger got cramped from playing the organ for the first time in a while. <Scene changes to Fujitaka trying to get a seat> Fujitaka: <To people around him> Excuse me, could you please let me pass through? Sonomi: <To people around her> Excuse me, could you please let me pass through? Fujitaka: Sonomi-kun. Sonomi: Ahh, Kinomoto-sensei! Fujitaka: Why? Sonomi: I heard from Tomoyo that Sakura-chan wrote her essay about Nadeshiko. Fujitaka: Ah, I see. Thank you. Sonomi: I don't see any reason you should thank m- Teacher: Lastly, the top winner of the contest, Kinomoto Sakura-san. Audience: <Claps> <Scene changes to Touya and Yukito> Yukito: It's Sakura-chan! Touya: Her right arm and right leg are moving in sync...
[Note; She's walking nervously/awkwardly like in the manga]
<Scene changes back to Fujitaka and Sonomi> Sonomi: Sakura-chan!! Fujitaka: Do your best, Sakura-san. <Sakura begins reading her essay> Sakura: "My Mother's Organ" by Kinomoto Sakura, Grade 4, Class 2. My mother's name is Nadeshiko-san. She's a very beautiful and kind mother. When she was young, she worked as a model. It was the kind of job where she'd wear many different kinds of outfits on television and in magazines. I've never seen my mother on television, but there are lots of magazine clippings in our house showing my mother wearing a variety of outfits. There are tons of photos my father took as well. It seems that my mother wasn't very good at cooking, but my father is good at it, so that's alright...
