complaining again! i don't think some people understand that it's fine and can be very fun to twist mythological figures around for the purposes of modern fiction. no one is getting upset over disney's hercules or anything. but it becomes misinformation when you try to pretend that the twisted version that modern fiction presents has mythological basis.

I see people complain sometimes about special interests fading for a while when another starts to take over the mind, but to me it's a beautiful experience. Sometimes new things get added, sometimes things that have become corrupted have to be taken away, but you can curate it for yourself and then even the ones that fade can come back again. It's like a carousel. I might not see something I love for a while because my focus is elsewhere but it always comes round and round and I get to remember all the reasons I loved it in the first place. What a way of perceiving and experiencing joy.
