I like her. I can bear it. And I'm someone who's fucking exhausted of her job because I don't like it and it's just not for me. I'm someone who is afraid that her dreams might just stay as that. I'm someone who keeps reaching for something, just something, I honestly don't know what that thing is. I'm simply like most humans are, have dreams, have a job, tired, feeling lonely, wishing to undo something that already happened. Whether I'm rich or poor, popular or not, I'd like to think that I'm just simply a human and that I cannot be greater than humans. Just tryna survive this game of life.

who are you when you are not watching tv or movies? when you aren't playing video games or reading a book or fanfiction or listening to music or whatever other kind of media that you engage with? who are you when your mind isn't in another world or story, when you are forced to sit with yourself and the only experience you have is your own sensorial life? can you define yourself outside of what you consume? who is that person? do you like them? can you bear it? can you bear it?

I don't write fanfic, but if I did I would write a fanfic for Beauty and the Beast where anyone who enters the castle automatically becomes an enchanted object under the rules of the curse. Including Belle.

Throw out the falling in love part, at least at first. I want a version of Beauty and the Beast where the beast learns to start valuing his servants and Belle for more than their mere utility to him. I want him to start realizing that underneath each of their jobs, all of his orders they obey without (much) question, each of them is actually a person with thoughts and feelings like him. Probably Belle is helpful with this, but not in the saccharine way she is in all the mid-movie stories Disney comes out with. I need her to yell at him and call him a conceited little bitch boy or something.

I want the castle to wake up one day and one of the enchanted objects, with no explanation, is now back to being a person again. Probably it's Mrs. Potts, let's be real, but all her children are still teacups so it's not...great? Everyone is trying to figure out what she did to break the spell, but they don't realize the one whose heart is changing is the beast. All the enchanted objects become obsessed with figuring out the solution, trying a bunch of cockamamie and vaguely superstitious things to become free of the curse as well. This makes the castle much less formal and even speeds up the process of the beast realizing they are more than mere objects in his castle. Lumiere becomes a person before Cogsworth does and lords it over him for a whole day. All of the teacups change back into children at once and take to climbing on top of the beast like he's an enormous teddy bear jungle gym.

It takes a long time for Belle to wake up changed back to her original form. After all, the beast kind of knew all of these other people before, when they were his servants in his youth. But for all he cares, Belle has been a pepper mill since birth. Still, the beast is learning how to listen to people and see their inherent value, and when you give her some respect, Belle has a lot to say.

And in the end, the beast thought he was learning to love other people and respect their humanity as much as he selfishly loved himself, but as he comes to cherish the people who now surround him, he realizes he has never truly loved himself. He cannot become a man until he reckons with the shortcomings of the boy he once was, and how they hurt everyone around him. He cannot become a man until he is willing to see the beast that he truly was all along, and to love not just his humanity but even that beast. It is only when he recognizes that he will be a beast forever - full of failings and sin and mistakes - that he can wake up a man again.

…Headcanon that the next time Kaveh gets in trouble in desert (where he is on a research trip with Alhaitham) and is lost/separated from his companion, the three desert foxes come to his help out of nowhere and lead him back to Alhaitham.

When they are back and Alhaitham listens to Kaveh telling him about how the foxes helped him, one of the aforementioned foxes intensely stares Alhaitham dead in the eyes. Alhaitham stares back at it, and after a few moments barely noticeably nods.

For the sake of his (exhausted after a whole day in the desert) sanity Kaveh asks no questions. Alhaitham acts like nothing happened. The foxes return to the desert the next day when they depart.

A silent “We entrust the good human to you. Please, take care of him,” remains a small secret between the desert and the scribe (as well as a request he will gladly see to).

I think this comic strip really tells the state of the wishes of Rosas.

Btw the Stars sometimes HAVE to not tell the other stars about certain things in order to protect them from the dangers of the human realm, even if those said stars don't really understand why.

Oh, and none of them told star boy what happened a century ago where a star helped hurt thousands of people. Either because they are to prideful to admit a star did something wrong or because they don't want to bring attention to it so that other stars don't become afraid when it comes to guiding the user's.

I think I am getting there in terms of how the magic system works, but I do know how the wishes play into the magic system! Which is pretty nice tbh 😭

And yes im leaning into the: Star Boy = monster territory. I just think that concept is intresting itself since it can literally be interpreted in so many ways <3

ive been replaying kh1 (going thru the whole series on steam since i never got the chance to play all the games) and i was struck by something a bit odd. i have been dyinggg to talk about it

it's about kairi and her past.

i don't think she's a replica or construct necessarily

but in kh2 there's a parallel drawn between her and sally in halloween town; and the same i think could be true in kh1.

sally is a Frankenstein monster/doll made by the doctor. the entire plot of Halloween town centers around the need for the dr to make a "heart" which requires memories from Sally (the scene of her picking the forget me nots looks a lot like kairi holding a flower for aqua too)

sora takes interest in the project to restore a heart to the heartless too because of his desire to restore Kairi's heart.

i havent really come up with a coherent thought about what this means.

but given that we know kairi was experimented on in a way that involved her heart, it just seems suspicious that this parallel was made twice to her and a doll that was stitched together and animated by a mad scientist.

shes also compared to chirithy in kh3, which from my understanding were created by MoM for keyblade weilders; and to Pooh, who is a toy/story book character that came to life

given too that Kairi already has a weird thing going on with her heart, it just seems possible that theres something..more to it that i have yet to piece together. and its driving me crazy

NO, WAIT… ANON YOU’RE COOKING. Idk what it all means either, but those parallels are so good and so true. Cause there definitely is something artificial about Kairi’s heart, even if just partially. It was experimented on, like you said, and it looks completely different than the organic hearts we see, and I suspect that’s why we’ve never seen Kairi’s heart station. Because it’s (at least partially) artificial. It would look totally different than all the other heart stations and would probably give away what’s going on.

I have been thinking about what oomf said about Asha x Starboy and it's dead on, i already knew y'all hate Asha but when it comes to Asha being ship with Starboy it just feels so misogynistic and racist cause...

Asha is the "real villain" until she is with a conventionally attractive glow-in-the-dark white boy...

i am so tired of seeing this screenshot about wish's ending reposted everywhere and used to make fun of the movie:

and this is coming from someone who didn't even like the movie very much, but this is misrepresenting what happened. yes, there is a thing where asha wears a cloak resembling that of the fairy godmother and at the end star makes her a magic wand and the kids say she's like a fairy godmother, king magnifico does get trapped in a mirror, etc, and the movie was absolutely filled with easter eggs and references to previous movies--yep, when i saw the movie i did in fact take these scenes as just easter eggs! after all, think about this logically, if all currently existing movies in the disney animated canon were meant to take place in the same universe, and asha canonically grows up to be cinderella's fairy godmother, then...

how can you explain such a drastic difference in appearance? how can you justify asha, a brown-skinned afro-hispanic girl with a face full of freckles and long brown hair, and this old white woman being the same person? you can't, because they're not!!!! if i recall correctly asha doesn't even wear that cloak at the end when they're calling her a fairy godmother, she just wears it during one scene when she's a fugitive and has to sneak around. also...

the creators of the movie have directly confirmed that they were not trying to set up a disney multiverse and that it's not meant to be taken that seriously. rapunzel and eugene's cameo in frozen also wasn't meant to be taken anywhere near as seriously as everyone took it. neither were any previous cameos like belle in hunchback of notre dame or aurora in oliver and company (and if aurora being in oliver and company was canon, she'd be over 600 years old!). and, back to wish specifically, the little easter egg earlier in the movie where magnifico sees a wish bubble from someone who wants the perfect nanny to take care of their kids and says he's "poppin' that one" also doesn't mean the banks family from mary poppins canonically lives in rosas. the scene at the end where a boy named peter who wears all green and dreams of creating a flying machine goes to work with a girl in a blue nightgown whose wish is to fly doesn't mean peter pan and wendy actually somehow lived together in rosas and knew each other before the movie peter pan ever happened. it is literally impossible for all of these movies to take place in the same time period and universe, so it's a good thing that they, uh, don't, and were never intended to. please, if you don't like the movie, that's perfectly fine, but don't say disney is trying to create some convoluted multiverse and "MCU-ify" their movies when that just literally isn't true.

Geneuary prompt Mermaid / Magical

People I can not tell you how happy I am with how this one turned out >w<

I'll be honest... I forget today was prompt day XD I didn't find out until I saw @golden--doodler post (beutiful drawing by the way)

And talking about golden doodler thanks her for this one cause I was actually not gonna post anything for mermaid XD for real I decided to let 2 prompt out for different reasons and this was one of them.

I didn't know what I wanted to draw on this one, magical was too general for my brain and mermaid was the one that caught my attention the most. But didn't know what I wanted to do with it.

But then golden made me think in the Little Mermaid, and Gene and Rudy been Little Mermaid fans, and they bonding over the Little Mermaid, and this practically drew by itself... and I had to add a jelous Louise, cause I have to.

Gene is always stealing his mans, first Bob and now Rudy XD (Spaghetti Western and Meatballs reference) (of of my fav episodes)

So yeah.

Did I color it this way cause I had short time? Actually no, which made me very proud.

I really envisioned like this, since I made that Jimmy Jr x Zeke piece (you youngsters say Jimmy Jr/Zeke) I wanted to do something similar... if you dont know about what drawing am I talking about thats alright is a little old 😅

But yeah, really like this one, could be my actual fav, if I do say so myself (see I do one nice thing and it goes straight to my head 🙄)

Oh and the text is in spanish cause this is from my childhood memories and as a child if I heard the smallest word in english I would burst into tears... I was englishfobic as a child. The irony.
