i've determined i will probs never play minecraft again bc the sheer amount of content, while amazing, also is overwhelming to the highest degree but gameplay videos are highly enjoyable. also since finding creativerse it just hits better and terraria is like my happy (moddable) medium.
#plus since they introduced columns npcs block rotation AND painting i have been OBSESSED#like don't get me wrong Minecraft is a lot of fun but there's just SO MUCH#Terraria can be a bit overwhelming at times too especially bc i like it modded but even then i feel like there's less to it#maybe just a bit more emphasis on mob farming#ngl the devs hope to bring mods to creativerse but idk how plausible that is but is2g if they make it a reality i'll lose my shit#it's basically all that i feel is missing#the style/textures are wonderful and the variety of blocks/decor you can craft is unreal#plus being able to tame 99% of mobs is just???? chef's kiss#don't get me started on how they have wiring instead of redstone which means you don't need an acre to set up machines and TELEPORTERS#also similarly to Terraria you can transfer resources from one world to another??? you just have to unlock and craft the chest#there's also the fact that once you get the right npcs almost everything is renewable without having to terraform#one of them even multiplies the drops you get from tamed creatures#i would like to see more customization for the base character model but dressing my character like a witchy green chicken has been hilarious#in short all of them are amazing but creativerse just appeals to me most#oh! going back to the modding thing if they did introduce it i think with the right people the game could become a 3d terraria#which is a DREAM to me#though Terraria was on a whole other level with the bosses/random events#like the mechanical bosses stressed me the fuck out and wof when i was beginning#i don't think i even ever made it to plantera on my last long run roflmao or any of them tbh#blood moon and goblin invasion was always fun and good for money#hadn't quite figured out the stairs situation though so npcs could traverse up AND down but it's fine#Falling Apart And Coming Together

Headcanons!
1: xB loves dinosaurs.
2: Scar had to be told that pet rocks weren't their own species of magical animal and were literally just rocks with googly eyes on them. This was after Joel got him one as a joke birthday present
3: The reason Tango's eyes are red is because he used to be scared of people finding out he was a vexling. So he put in red contacts to stop people seeing they were changing colour. He also started messing with redstone because it stained his hands and face red so no one would see the blue streaks.
4: Welsknight is Hermitcraft's official bs detector. He's spent long enough with the Helsmits to know when someone is lying or deceiving him.
5: Watchers are so used to summoning or using magic to do stuff that most are very very confused by redstone. Particularly redstone farms because why would you spend hours on this moving thing when you can just cheat and summon infinite melons? Grian, Pearl and Keralis (yes Keralis is a Watcher in my headcanon) all shared this mindset when they first joined Hermitcraft
6: Beef can speak villager. No really, he can.
7: Whenever it snows, the hermits all gather. At any point in their fun of building snow castles and snowmen and having fun, someone can get onto the highest visible place, yell 'WAR!' and it turns into an everyone vs everyone snowball war where the last person to surrender gets hot chocolate first.
8: Jevin can use the sun to light fires through himself like a magnifying glass. The first time he did this intentionally, he lit Hypno's hair on fire.
9: Jevin isn't allowed to use this ability anymore
10: Doc knits everyone socks and gloves for Christmas, especially the hermits who have hooves or feet that don't fit normal socks
11: Tango gets cold easily so whenever it's winter you'll see a fluffy blob of Tango shuffling around in the noodles poking them
12: Mumbo always has a spoon on him. Just in case.
13: Joe is the only non-vexling who's ever been allowed into the Vexling only bar (The Summoner). Just because the other vexlings think he's cool.
14: Zedaph is basically a god to the Helsmits. Whenever Xisuma wants something from them he promises that Zed can come over to visit and they immediately accept
15: False gifted Gem a magical wooden sword she can use in any worlds which doesn't have any effect except giving the death message [Player got washed up]
16: Skizz and Impulse have Dad-joke competitions. Grian's won every single one
17: Cub once held a funeral for a rabbit he watched die. Only after the entire 7 hour ceremony was over did he admit that he killed the rabbit himself because it jumped onto his redstone one too many times.
18: Cleo gifted Etho a guess-the-build Etho for Christmas. Etho loved the little guy so much he found/made/bribed hermits into giving him any and all other creations of this little guy. He now has so many he ran out of space in his own base and now hides them around Bdubs's for fun
19: Ren gets zoomies sometimes.
20: Keralis can speak 20 different languages. Only thing is, no one taught him any of them he just could always speak them.

Minecraft hardcore tips that are not “git gud”
Aka these won’t save you from everything but it’ll prevent a lot of deaths. You do not have to be an excellent pve’er to survive in hardcore it just helps a lot
The first priority is food, followed by a bed. The more mobs you can prevent from spawning, the better. Your base is now the first place you manage to make a house in before night falls - plains are good for this but don’t go looking for one until day.
TAKE YOUR BED/A BED WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE BASE FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. Skipping night usually means nothing can spawn as long as you sleep immediately.
Next is torches. You can use logs to make charcoal, and charcoal can be used to make them. Torch spam your entire area, so that you can’t see any unlit areas from your base. This will prevent spawns nearby, which gives you an almost forcefeild against mobs - if you’re a couple chunks (16x16 blocks) from the nearest mob it won’t pathfind to you. And the fewer mobs spawn, the less chance of a hoard.
Don’t set up near rivers or oceans unless you’re good with a shield. Tridents can kill you in enchanted netherite in about 6 hits.
If you are not good with a shield, that’s fine. Prioritize armour. You can find diamonds when stripmining still - they’re at bedrock level. Keep your tunnels lit. If you want netherite it’s frankly safest if you have fire resistance, but you can get by with food and a set of blast and fire prot armour. Don’t make it from diamonds unless you’re farming villager trades.
A water bucket is extremely helpful, and so is just. Placing water under yourself. Effective shield against mobs touching you. Likewise, endermen will not teleport into water - if you need time to regen health, place water or jump into a pond or lake.
Redstone and making farms for items is EXTREMELY helpful. Tutorials are pretty easy to find for just about everything you could want to farm, too. Some are more labor intensive than others.
Feel free to reblog with the things you do too :] Minecraft doesn’t have to be a git gud game.

OKAY SO what with the TWO new Hermits implied by the updated banner I will say that, though the Skizz truthers have me convinced, I now have room to do my own crazy red string monologue and throw my hat in for my choice

1) Mythical J. Sausage (the J is silent) is a multitalented S-tier builder that absolutely deserves to be shoulder to shoulder with the Hermits. The man does buildings, interiors, terraforming, custom trees, and he does them SO WELL.
2) The production values!!! Beautiful replay mod sequences with shifting camera perspectives, shaders, music that sets the tone for each segment that's different from series to series. He already has more than a million followers on YouTube and for good reason!!
3) He has been SO consistent lately. He started a hardcore world about three months ago (about the time you might expect the Hermits to finalize their s10 choices maybe...???) and already has 15 episodes and hasn't gotten involved in any other big content. (He did just start playing a little of the BCG server but from what I understand that's super casual /copium copium copium).
4) That hardcore world is conveniently about to reach a good "pause" point. He started his world on a cherry blossom biome island that he's filled with a medieval village and starter farms, he's said it's almost full and what's left is the castle. I'm guessing the new season will start the first week of February, so if Sausage puts out a video this week building out that Castle and finishing that island it will be MIGHTY CONVENIENT TIMING.
5) This man can GRIND. His Hardcore world hasn't even been going half a year and he's built... So much??? Magnificent! And when he was on the Hermitcraft server he did the Razorcrest for scar AND the player head baby yoda/stormtrooper merch AND the noteblock themesong AND still built in the xmas village and other "diamond of peace" and so many other shenanigans. Did the man even sleep? He can grind with the best of them.
6) He can do redstone, too! Maybe not unique designs, I honestly don't know, but he builds farms for build materials no problem.
7) The DRAMA this man loves his improv and his backstory and trauma lore! For every series he does! Can you imagine if he gets to interact with Ren for an extended period of time, what that would do to them, to us?? Give Martyn a run for his money!!
8) Which brings me to my next point, which is that Sausage is already One of The Gang, because he's been in series with so many of the Hermits already! Empires and the crossover, obviously, but also Pirates with Cleo and Origins with Scar, and he's even done MCC! Joel is the only other player with the same depth of different series but there are other people truthing him already.
9) The EPIC BROMANCE with Pearl. My god the devotion of this man to his sunflower goddess bestie. I would try to do ot justice but y'all have seen floweroflaurelins work, you already know.
10) He's already a PG streamer but with HILARIOUSLY PG-13 tendencies. Imagine him and Cleo cracking each other up at an HHH stream, *grips your shoulders* IMAGINE IT.
11) Sausage comes with his own mascot in the form of interdimensional dog extraordinaire Bubbles, but he's also just an animal lover on general. Mans drinks his "I love Jellie" juice and had her in his world even before the sad news of her loss.
12) Diversity win! No one should be hired just for their gender, race, sexuality etc etc unless it's truly necessary to the job, but we were all happy when more women got added to the server in s8 and I know a lot of people would be happy to see some ethnic diversity added, too.
... That bulletin board had a lot more pins in it than I thought it did but anyway MYTHICALSAUSAGE TRUTHERS/ALL OTHER TRUTHERS RISE UP SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! we'll only get to wildly speculate for a few weeks so we might as well make it everyone else's problem ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!!

I just watched both parkour civilization movies and I have so many thoughts about block game
Parkour civilization was restructured so that everyone begins at the bottom layer and makes their way to the top. The other main changes are that the route to the top is neither impossible nor barricaded by design. Failing a jump isn’t an instant ticket to perma death. There’s a universal safety net for so players can keep trying.
But providing actual ways for the lower levels to advance, does not change the fact THAT THERE WAS A LOWER LEVEL WITH UNACCEPTABLE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE FIRST PLACE WHAT OTHER CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE BOTTOM??? Are the noobs still kept on the verge of starvation?? Is food now free or do you still jump to eat?? Who farms food now that the pros don’t have to work?? Blocks are free for masters what about noobs & pros? And even if anyone at the base layer can make open attempts at the climb, are they provided the practice arenas of the higher levels??
Evbo’s ‘equal opportunity advancement’ solution also doesn’t address the other glaring problem of why parkour civilization was inherently flawed. Some people just suck at parkour! It’s simply not for them and their talents lie in other directions. But being a promising singer, builder, fighter, redstone engineer, or writer doesn’t matter because parkour is the ONLY valuable skill. You don’t like to jump but there’s only one route up. You could be at the bottom forever because your passion is worthless in Parkour Civilization.
Evbo fails to dismantle anything besides the most obvious, corrupt flaws of the system because at the end of the day, he still successfully climbed said system! (With some cheating & help to bypass the locks ofc). So his idea of fairness is having everyone else climb too. But providing people access to his way up doesn’t change the fact they have only 1 way to climb. And that they have to climb in the first place.
See, the other thing that haunts me is the implanted memories. Evbo KNOWS there’s a lifestyle outside of parkour 24/7. Evbo remembers endless land, buildings, crafting, and mining. Resources gatekept by parkour once used to be open to obtain by anyone. Sure, the memories are fake but the dream didn’t have to be. He was champion then god. Evbo knows about the endless ground but didn’t consider making that idea a reality even with endless power at his fingertips. Because he’s so entrenched in this society.
His dream was seeing endless skies and once he got there, he failed to share it with anyone else.
The sky used to be free.
TLDR Shonen protag works within in system they’re given and when system shows its flaws of corruption the narrative solution is to power up, beat up the big villains, and become the most op kid on the block instead of actually addressing societal flaws that accommodates and creates said villains
In this fanfic I will-
#I lied there’s no fanfic and there never will be#just like there’s no santa easter bunny & queen of england#I’m having a normal one out here girliepops#send help#I unironically enjoyed parkour civilization but I found the soft river bed and a shovel to start digging#This silly block game ain’t that deep but hyperfixation wants to make a lake out of it#I’m in my mcyt relapse era#Block world has me in a chokehold again send tweet#minecraft#mcyt#parkour civilization#pkciv#evbo#Anyways excellent series I was enthralled the whole time like a baby with cocomelon#Yes I understand it’s allegory & silly block game but also#this is how I personally engage in content I am unfortunately compelled by

so I have been avidly following the lovely dbhc au that @shepscapades has made and I have made a little drabble fanfic of Doc and Xisuma because I feel very normal about them :)
setting: hermitcraft season 10, while Doc is in skyblock jail
word count: 1361
-
Doc is grumbling to himself, ramming his fist into the newly-sprouted tree with not an insignificant amount of prejudice, when he hears the distinct whistling of fireworks crescendoing towards him.
“Have you come to watch me punch wood like an imbecile?” Doc snarks, expecting to hear Scar’s fumbling denials, or Cleo’s cackling assent.
“That wasn’t the plan, no.” The quietly amused voice is far from his first prediction. An oversight on his part, really.
[Vocal Recognition: Xisumavoid.]
“Xisuma!” Doc’s next punch misses the trunk of the cherry blossom tree, glancing off the side and chipping off the bark instead. He blinks away the vocal recognition pop-up, glancing behind him just to check it really is him and not Tango with a goat horn. “Hey, man!”
“Hey! You’ve been busy.” Xisuma’s boots scuff against the cobblestone as he inspects the progress of his miserable sky island. A shulker box thunks onto the stone, freeing his hands up to brush against the cherry wood planks.
“Hardly anything else to do besides work.” Doc throws the words over his shoulder as he continues to gather his cherry wood, not one to leave a project half-done.
His visitor is content to hum and haw at whatever he finds as Doc works away. It has only been a few days, but the one-sided commentary is surprisingly comforting. After all, no touching the ground means no redstone, which also means no time in the lab. The thought has Doc speaking up, slipping between Xisuma’s quips.
“It’s not been too busy, yeah?” Doc clambers onto the tree as he plucks off the highest branches. He pauses to flick open a calendar overlay, skimming the dates. “Nobody’s scheduled for maintenance checks until next month.”
“It’s been alright.” The fuzzy wolf-shaped wool mask pops into view as Xisuma emerges from Doc’s pink abode. “Been a bit too quiet, even. It’s weird not having you around.”
Doc snorts to hide the way his thirium pump hiccups at the words. Logically, he knows the sound is far too soft for Xisuma to hear. Having emotions, Doc has found, is hardly ever logical.
“So you came over ‘cause you missed me?” The words are out before Doc can even try to edit the response. It instills in him the same kind of floundering exasperation he feels when trying to recall a comms message already seen by everyone.
“Well.” When Xisuma ducks his head, one ear of the knitted wolf flops to the side. “I mean. I suppose so.”
[Emotion Identified: Shyness.]
“But I did come with an agenda!” Xisuma reaches for the shulker behind him, pulling out a mobile scanner from the lab.
“You’re right about having no maintenance checks on the schedule,” Xisuma says, waving around the scanner. “With you out here roughing it out, though, I figured I should check on you.”
“Ah.” Doc chuckles, ignores his cooling vents spinning faster. “I see.”
“Well, don’t keep me waiting! You look about done with your tree.”
“I am, I think.” Doc squints through the already-thinning leaves, nodding when he finds no branches left. “Alright, one moment.”
Dismantling the remains of the trunk takes only a few seconds. Doc gathers the wood and plonks them into the chest in his shabby house, with Xisuma trailing behind.
With two people inside, it only reminds Doc how small the shelter is. Turning around after closing his chest puts him directly in Xisuma’s space.
“So, uh.” Doc shifts back, as much as he can. He ends up plopping down on the edge of his bed, which, well. “Go ahead, then.”
A check-up does not require much space, really. Doc has done maintenance with the hermits in caves, in redstone farms, in underwater bases and nether bases. This is just the first time Doc himself has been examined outside of the yawning expanse of their labs. The change in routine leaves him uncertain, like recalibrating on angled terrain.
The ease that Xisuma slips into the motions does well to settle Doc’s stress, however mild. The mobile scanner takes a while to gather results, so Doc answers Xisuma’s laundry list of questions. The list of questions is one curated by both Doc and Xisuma. Most of it is data, which Doc rattles off easily from the numbers that he pulls up in the corner of his vision.
The mobile scanner beeps cheerfully just as they reach the end of the lengthy questionnaire.
“Clean bill of health.” Xisuma shows Doc the display, which focuses less on internal processes and more on external damage or abnormalities. “Although, your average temperature is a bit lower than your usual.”
Doc shrugs. “It’s the altitude, man. Going from spending significant amounts of my time in the deserts and swamps to this is quite the change. Not to mention the wind chill.”
As if to prove his point, a gust hits the shelter hard enough to make the planks rattle and creak. With no door, the icy breeze rushes in quickly. He tucks his metal arm into his lab coat with a sigh, the exposed components always prone to freezing the fastest.
“It’s not that bad,” Doc states flippantly, knowing without looking that Xisuma is taking in his every move. “I’m working most of the time, which keeps me warm. Plus I have my lava pool to sit beside when I need to warm up.”
“If you say so.” Xisuma shifts, leaning against his crafting bench. “The moment you start to experience temperature glitches, though, call this off. The rest will understand.”
“I know, I know.” This is all in good fun, when it comes down to it. He plays along for his own amusement. “I’ll be fine, Xisuma. I know how to take care of myself.”
“That you do.” Xisuma nods, then, with an “ah” of realisation, pulls his wolf mask off his helmet.
“Here!” It only takes a step for Xisuma to be back in Doc’s space, pulling the wool over Doc’s head before he can react.
“Uhm.” The mask is large enough that it goes over his horns easily, fitting loosely around his face. He has to lift and adjust it slightly to get his eyes back through the openings. “What?”
“To keep you warm!” Xisuma draws back again, settling against the crafting bench and tapping his heel against its side. “I mean, even over my helmet, it sure retains the heat. I know it doesn’t quite help with your metal arm, but it’ll at least warm up your horns and face.”
Doc does feel warmer, in fact. Though that is not necessarily correlated with the wool mask itself, and more the action of gifting it to him.
“But it’s your mask,” Doc replies, a flimsy rebuttal. “For your Woolves of Wool Street.”
“I have spares,” Xisuma chimes, eyes squinting happily through his helmet. “I’m sure the others won’t mind if you’re wearing it. Take it as a souvenir, of sorts.”
“Right.” Doc reaches a hand up to the wool. The material is soft, slightly worn from use. It smells a bit like Xisuma’s armour, the polish that he uses to clean it at the end of the day. “Thanks.”
“No problem, Doc.”
Xisuma’s communicator chimes. A quick look has Xisuma turning back to Doc with an apologetic sigh. “Sorry, I’ve got to go. I’ll come back soon, though, if you don’t mind?”
“Come back anytime,” Doc replies. He tries to reel it towards comedy with a gesture to his surroundings, his meager belongings. “You won’t be interrupting anything.”
The dry quip draws out a laugh from Xisuma, even as he gathers his shulker and activates his elytra.
“See you, Doc!” Xisuma waves from the edge of the cobblestone, then nosedives away, a rocket propelling him rapidly out of sight.
Doc takes a moment to watch the clouds, then laughs at himself. Did he not poke fun at Tango last season, when he stared longingly at the portal Jimmy left the server with? Now look at him.
He draws a hand up to the wolf mask, rubbing the soft knitting between his fingers, and decides that Tango absolutely cannot see him wearing this.
He can keep it on for now, though.

my favourite bits from some hermits' first ever hermitcraft videos:
Joe: [very poor mic quality] "howdy y'all! Joe Hills here, recording as I always do in Nashville, Tennessee, and I seem to have found myself on the hermitcraft server, despite it being private and whitelisted, a testament to my ingenuity and the foolishness of others" GenB: "...Hypno, we've been hoodwinked"
Cleo: "oh there's a FUCK ton of horses over there... well, Joe's offline and I'm too shy to speak to everyone"
Etho: immediately just crawls into redstone and farms and gets distracted by bits of string doing block updates that he wants to figure out
Cub: "Land ho, Hypno!" a whole video of hermit chaos and running about with cub being pretty quiet only for him to unmute, run around calling everyone's builds beautiful and then add mineshafts to the Mesa before Mojang did
Impulse: mumbo, X, and tango doing their giggly impulse summoning ritual for redstone purposes
Xisuma: 48 seconds into the video, the active hermits (Hypno included) are plotting to hunt him down and kill him because they think he's afk
Doc: episode title: humble beginnings, episode opening: two and a half minutes of dramatic music as doc gives a third person camera tour of the server with the back of his head firmly in the centre of the shot
False: poor, quiet, wet cat just wants a job in some xisuma and mumbo led roleplay
Mumbo (this is the first hermitcraft episode I ever watched, btw): he's building a plaza and he needs the hermits to validate his fountain idea because what if he builds a fountain and the hermits don't like it? building is hard, btw
Gem and Pearl: in the pit, go. Get in the pit. Ok, now we can start
Keralis: "yo, yo, it's keralis", "no, I won't be doing a tutorial for this house because it's a pain in the ass to make", "me and survival is really shitty, it's not my cup of tea at all"
#good to reblog#hermitcraft#joe hills#zombiecleo#ethoslab#cubfan135#impulsesv#xisumavoid#docm77#falsesymmetry#mumbo jumbo#geminitay#pearlescentmoon#keralis#first episodes are fun#i love how shy a lot of the hermits start before they get confident enough to cause trouble#joe caused trouble from the off and that's why he's the wildcard

saw @athina-blaine's ask abt a labru gamer AU so let me present my split second dunmeshi minecraft server thoughts
• thistle: created the server. Refuses to budge on the rules he put in place on day one, except for like 2 notable exceptions. Barely plays but always memorable when he does, builds the weirdest shit and then logs off for months at a time
• delgal: notable exception #1, he asked thistle to make it normal survival mode instead of hardcore bc it was too high stress. used to play very frequently until he got a new PC and moved on to other games. thistle has forbidden the other players from destroying the castle he made
• senshi: has taken it upon himself to do all of the farming and cooking in the game, has figured out the best ways to make the most efficient farms, is wildly talented w redstone but only in terms of making it easier to grow crops and breed friendly mobs. eagerly awaits new food recipes with each update
• laios: has made it his personal goal to capture each of the hostile mobs and keep it in his base as a personal monster showcase. Goes on hour-long mining excursions to fortify his base because the blazes and ghasts keep destroying their enclosures. Wants to find an ender portal but just to get shulker boxes, determined to figure out how to defeat the ender dragon without killing it
• falin: notable exception #2, she asked thistle to turn on keep inventory because she kept exploring and getting too lost but she didn't want to die and lose all of her stuff. has heard stories about the limits of the world borders and the farlands and is determined to find them. Good at avoiding hostile mobs but not at keeping herself alive so she tends to die from starvation or falls, senshi's most frequent visitor when she stocks up for her next excursion
• chilchuck: started playing to understand the game better when his daughters got into it, now it's developed into a guilty pleasure. The one who supplies the rest of the gang with materials as needed, loves the grind of collecting a billion stacks of cobblestone and dirt. Goes to the end w laios just to collect endstone, same w the nether. Also responsible for keeping the chests meticulously organized, he gives everyone hell if they mess up his system
• marcille: not usually one for survival games but got hooked when falin showed her the redstone systems and potion making. Has made a machine for everything she possibly could, is currently figuring out a fast travel system in the nether so falin can go further than she normally can in the overworld. Relies on chilchuck to fund all of her projects bc she's deathly afraid of mining and getting blown up by creepers. Goes to the end w laios to see if she can expand on the teleportation mechanics of ender pearls (is very disappointed when she can't)
• kabru: joined at laios's request, secretly hated minecraft and preferred the sims but still plays because he found out that you can make your own collection of villagers to trade with and consequently became obsessed. Didn't know about the pillagers and almost rage quit when they killed his villagers and destroyed his progress while laios just tried to catch the ravager to add to his monster zoo. Now recruits laios whenever pillagers show up bc he doesn't want to deal with the raids
• izutsumi: banned for griefing when she lured a creeper into a wing of delgal's castle where she'd put a bunch of tnt
#chattering#dunmeshi#dungeon meshi#delicious in dungeon#laios touden#falin touden#thistle dungeon meshi#delgal#senshi of izganda#marcille donato#izustumi#kabru of utaya#sorry for the tag i just had a brain blast upon seeing that post LMAO#feel free to add more btw the post was too long for my brain so i stopped after izutsumi

Piggybacking off @applepixls hermitcraft economy post, what’s up with Pearl and Keralis’ surprisingly lucrative flowers and dyes shop?
Flowers and dyes are ideal for shops. They’re used a lot in building and material gathering, but are generally too tedious to make a proper farm for. For example, black dye commonly comes from squids, which are annoying to kill in bulk. Unlike Joel’s glow ink where he’s pretty much the only one using glow ink in enough bulk to buy — aside from Impulse and other redstoners who can make their own farms. Also, there’s a wide variety of product, to match the assortment of constant demand. False needs dye for her concrete shop, as do some of the glass collective. All builders love spore blossoms and most hermits haven’t bothered playing around with sniffers to have easy access to their flowers. Every hermit has at least one need from the flower and dyes shop.
Importantly, the shop has unique infrastructure only Pearl can take advantage of. Dye-duction is the stand out, being on the higher end of minigames, both in replayability but also quality like Oli’s custom soundtrack. Speaking of, Pearl’s drawn several other neighbors to her side of the shopping district. Along with Gem who was already there, Impulse and False directly themed off Pearl’s building — even including mini-games — for plant shops cohesion and Pearl’s own friendly relationships (soup group!) The greatest location benefit of all is Pearl building the secondary shopping district portal directly nextdoor. All these qualities bring in customers and keep the shop fresh in their minds.
The flower shop dodges many of the permit system downsides too. As applepixl described: its very difficult to build let alone stock so many shops singlehandedly. But the flower shop is a joint venture with Keralis and they very much split the work. She handles the operation and publicity/events (ex: Doc’s llama tour, eventual Peardle tournament,) while he supplies the wide array of products. Even being in opposite work hours helps: there’s always someone to catch if the store needs restocking. (Their efficiency is very similar to the Post Office — down to Pearl as the public-facing operative.) The flowers and dyes shop has steady demand, amplified by intentional infrastructure and management, which is sustained through a joint venture. If only they could split and use the well-earned profits!
#also of course the most important element of success: really funny bits and a good setting to sit around chatting onstream#idk if the profits are extraordinary or if the diamonds gem exposed just look like a lot because theyve been collected the whole season#hermitblr#trafficblr#pearlescentmoon#keralis#hermitcraft#analysis#i hope they never split the profits i hope they build a statue out of diamond blocks

i've determined i will probs never play minecraft again bc the sheer amount of content, while amazing, also is overwhelming to the highest degree but gameplay videos are highly enjoyable. also since finding creativerse it just hits better and terraria is like my happy (moddable) medium.

Docs vacation to Quesadilla Island!
So I watched Docm77 last Hermitcraft season 9 episode today and RAN to make this.
More so on the topic!
He needed to take a break and get his creative juices flowing? What's a better break (nightmare) than to come enjoy the island for a short while!
I've been spinning around the idea of Qsmp and Hermitcraft crossover since the start of Qsmp. There's so many ideas in my brain about this topic even though it'll never actually happen! I'm so sorry, but some things are bound to get out of my daydreams and materialize into doodles!
I think Doc would LOVE the eggs! Not to mention all the cute creatures they'd show him! He'd get attached instantly, they're too adorable!
I could only fit 3 here without making it too busy, but I wanna expand on what I could see the interactions being. Massive ramblings, often grammatically incorrect ahead:
Sunny - now we all know she's a material princess, they'd love Docs bedtime stories about the diamond pillar wars and his incredible contraptions made of diamond in the Perimeter and all the riches he had. Now Tubbo not only has Pierre to watch out for, but Doc also, cause Sunny would beg him to make stuff out of diamonds to show off!
Empanada - she'd clock in instantly that Doc is a German and would try speaking to him in German every moment she got. Now she has both her mom Niki and Doc to talk in her language to! It's not much of an expansion, but she appreciates it a lot! They'd have many delightful conversations and Doc is always happy to have her build little things together. They learn from each other!
Ramon - besides finally having another redstone genius with an entire Hivemind on the server, Ramon would be interested in how Doc works - both in a cyborg way and in the way he creates mind-blowing, game breaking contraptions. If they're not destroying the server together for fun, they're not making the most of their time! Jk, but it do be nice when both of them get to hang out and show each other what they discovered that's scuffed on the server.
Some eggs that aren't drawn:
Chayanne - finally! Another farmer came around! Chayanne would show off his impressive potato farm and cooking skills to Doc, who will always be amazed at the kids dedication! Doc can finally have his tomato farm in a Minecraft world now, since the mods allow it! It is too free for everyone to use
Tallulah - If she would show Doc the incredible builds she made and her and her papas place, he would be moved to tears! Everything is made with such love and incredible amounts of effort and thought! From her farm of all possible plants, to her garden and to El Cielo De Las Tortugas. Such incredible places to visit and appreciate! And Tallulahs amazing way of storytelling would only serve to amplify those feelings
Dapper - now besides trying cage trap Doc 1000x times, Dapper would definitely show off everything he got once he discovers that Doc is deeply amused and surprised by all the non vanilla things! They would invite Doc to their base to show everything and I mean EVERYTHING there is for show. It's definitely too much, but Doc is very impressed by her and would praise how much work she puts in! Dapper do be the definition of GRIND!
Leo - Leo and her dads made so many incredible builds, Doc would be amazed at how much they did in such a short time! Besides that Leo herself is an incredibly, theatrically even, good at body language and expression! He'd die of cuteness and laughter like all of us already do!
Pomme - we all know that Pomme has so many talents! From being a little musician, to an incredible warrior, to a thought out builder and a spectacularly emotional writer. There's a lot Doc will have to slowly discover about Pomme! And each time the scale and depths of things will get more and more impressive, because the share amounts of time and effort she puts into her creations, passions and loved ones is massive!
Pepito - this kid! Pepito is such an incredible character to be around! Pepito is so dedicated to whatever Pepito does, especially if it's with friends! Whenever Pepito has fun, it always radiates outwards in many different ways! You can't really help yourself but get charged up with energy when you're around. And Doc does just that!
Richarlyson- Richas is a lot in the best ways possible! But we all know he's very much a jokester, he wouldn't miss a beat trying to mess with the goat! And once he finds out what kinds of retaliations Docs is capable of? OH IT'S WAR (for fun, cause that's what it's all about!)
I'm sorry if this is chaotic at some parts or lacking in others, I have to write this all in one go before my battery dies. I haven't been able to watch many streams so I'm sorry if Im not up to date with the characters, but that is what I remember them as! Any corrections or lore updates are always welcome! I want to learn more, especially now that I can't watch!
Anyhow, now that I look back on that drawing why do I feel like I've done something terrible.... I've seen those designs before......
OH NO

I’m in LOVE with your Hels to pay au!! Thank you so much for writing it!!
Has anyone ever asked Tango about his cuffs? Has anyone offered/tried to help him get them off? I imagine it would either be a funny montage of increasingly wild attempts OR just absolutely heartbreaking.

(sooo funny story, i saved the first ask in january bc i wanted to write smth for it… but then the second one came in before i got around to it… then the third… so uh. yeah. here ya go.)
~*~
“i like your cuffs, by the way.”
tango freezes, and even though xisuma has only just met the guy, he can immediately tell something’s off.
hermitcraft’s newest member is far from ordinary; a blaze hybrid with sharp teeth and blackened claws, red eyes that dart around nervously and squint at the sun, like it’s too bright. he didn’t even seem to know what a golden carrot was, when xisuma gave one to him.
the shackles around his wrists are just the frosting on the cake. xisuma had assumed it was part of his, er… unconventional style. but tango’s reaction- and the small links of broken chain still dangling from the cuffs- make xisuma wonder.
“what… uh, what do you mean?” tango asks, his tone forcibly light. oh, he’s anxious- ears flat, shoulders hunched likes he’s expecting an attack.
xisuma shrugs. “your cuffs, they’re just really metal,” he says casually. “it’s a cool look, is all.”
“oh.” tango blinks. the relief is evident in his expression, but he only relaxes slightly. “oh, right! thanks.”
while xisuma hasn’t been the admin of hermitcraft for very long, he’s been around long enough to tell when a player is running from something. but that’s none of his business. that’s why they come here, isn’t it?
“anyway,” xisuma says, “that’s about the end of the tour.” he lifts a hand to put on tango’s shoulder, then thinks better of it, folding his arms instead. “you just lemme know if you need anythin’, alright? anythin’ at all.”
“right, yeah.” tango smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “thanks, i’ll- i’ll keep that in mind, yeah.”
~*~
“jeeze, you ever take those cuffs off?”
tango freezes, and even though impulse is still relatively new here on hermitcraft, he can immediately tell he’s crossed a line.
it’s only been a couple weeks since a random portal abruptly appeared in front of impulse, taking him to a world called hermitcraft. according to his fellow hermits, that amounted to an invitation from the universe- which is how they all join.
he’s spent most of his time working on a quadruple witch hut farm with some of the other redstoners, and tango’s been a bit of a puzzle. he’ll be standoffish or even outright defensive at times, but then seem inexplicably drawn towards impulse, asking strange and not-so-subtle probing questions. of course, whenever impulse tries to address this, tango brushes him off.
“oh, these old things?” tango says after a moment, his brief panic quickly swept under the rug as he flaunts his cuffs. “why, do you- am i not pulling them off? too much?”
“no, no, they’re cool!” impulse assures him. “it’s just, don’t they get in the way when you’re doing delicate redstone work? seems like a bother, that’s all.”
tango huffs a laugh, but he’s also eyeing the nearest exit. “nah, man, th- it’s part of my look! my uh, my brand, as some might say. can’t go without ‘em, you know how it is…”
that’s not the reason. impulse can tell. but whatever the real reason is, it’s not his place to push tango to talk about it. they’re still getting to know each other, so if it’s anything more than a simple fashion choice, impulse is sure he’ll find out sooner or later.
“ooh, okay, gotcha.” impulse nods sagely. “branding, very important. well, if you ever change your mind, i’d be happy to take them off your hands- uh, literally and figuratively, i guess,” he chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. “cuffs are pretty ‘in’ for demons, you know.”
tango laughs too, though he’s already turning away, back to his work. “right, yeah, i- i’ll keep that in mind.”
~*~
“can you actually not take these cuffs off?”
tango freezes, and even without the spike of panic through their soulbond, jimmy can immediately tell he’s said something wrong.
it’s been about a month since the double lifers voted to end the death game. one month since jimmy and tango made their relationship official. and as amazing and wonderful as it’s been living on the ranch, jimmy’s starting to get the sense there are a few things he doesn’t know about tango.
he hadn’t meant anything by the question- just genuine curiosity. they were kissing, tango’s hands cupping jimmy’s face, and when he’d reached up to cover tango’s hands with his own he’d felt the cool metal of the cuffs, and the question just blurted out from his mind. gosh, he really does ruin everything.
tango recovers quickly. “whaaat, you don’t like ‘em?” he grins, casually stretching his arms above his head so the cuffs jangle around his wrists.
jimmy hesitates. the panic he felt through their bond has faded, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still there “well, sure, it’s just- y’know, i realized i’ve never seen you take ‘em off.”
tango blinks. “you- what, don’t you think if i wanted to take them off, i would’ve?” he laughs, putting his hands on his hips. “i mean, it’s not- we have metal-cutting technology, you know.”
oh, duh. jimmy feels silly. tango is far from helpless- if those cuffs hadn’t been a conscious decision, he surely would’ve figured out how to take them off by now. or, jeeze, he could’ve asked anyone on his server full of technical geniuses to help out.
“right, right, of course,” he says sheepishly. “sorry, i wasn’t- i do like how they look, i- i was just wonderin’. but uh, you know, if you ever did wanna take ‘em off… i mean, i’d still like you plenty without them,” he jokes.
“you’re good, you’re good,” tango hums, draping his arms around jimmy’s shoulders. “i’ll keep that in mind.”
~*~
tango sits alone in his room, claws curled around the cuff of his other hand.
it’s just simple iron. it wouldn’t be hard. all he has to do is reach for his inner fire, concentrate, and let the metal soften in his grasp. even if he heats it too much- so that molten iron drips over his skin like water- he’s a bit more fire resistant than the average player, he’d be fine. it’d only take a couple seconds for each one, and then he’d be free of them. forever.
it’s been nearly ten years, for hel’s sake. he’s lost count of how many times he’s been in this exact situation before, wanting and willing so much but being unable to bring the flames to his fingertips. if he even thinks about it, it’s suddenly like he’s back in the farm, icy wither rose numbing his veins, a haunting voice ringing in his ears.
‘just the cuffs on his wrists there, and he stays put like the good creature he is.’
tango wants to be good. he’s been trying so hard to be good. but what if he can’t trust himself? what if the only thing stopping him from reverting back to his old ways is the illusion of control maintained by these shackles?
who is he without them? would he be someone that his friends still cared about? would jimmy?
he’s too afraid to find out.
tango lets go of the cuff, the familiar weight of metal dropping back onto his wrist. he can try again another time. so long as he has his fire, he still has the option. he’ll do it someday.
so for now, the thought retreats to its little shadowed corner in the back of his mind, safe for another day.

Looped Sun 10
Loop #339
Grian: Skyblock huh? Well, that shouldn't be too bad. Get a cobblestone generator, wood and food and you're set.
Scar: Skyblock? I have already done this before! This is going to be Easy!
It wasn't, not even a little bit.
Scott: Skyblock, good luck killing me I can flu-
Scott proceeded to fall to his death before realizing it was a null loop.
Pearl: Skyblock! Oh this is going to be fun! I have a perfect idea. Now, to get some cobblestone.
Mumbo: Wait... Skyblock. No other islands ... No redstone? Oh pants, I can't even do builds this is horrible.
Loop #342
Grian: This is really weird you know?
Hermit Grian: You tell me, hopefully our youtuber self doesn't create another us.
Grian: I mean, there are the uh guess the builds?
Hermit Grian: Don't even joke about it.
Grian: Alright alright.
Hermit Grian: How do you do it?
Grian: Uh?
Hermit Grian: The life series. The first time I looped in Third Life I had to get black out drunk.
Grian: You had to WHAT?
Hermit Grian: It was so awful... But you're Life Series Grian, you dealt with it in baseline! How?
Grian: Well... I guess It's just was a game. In baseline the life series was a game and while it did leave an impact it wasn't like that. A lot of variants have the life series as a death game or an emotion farm for The Watchers but our baseline was just...lighthearted. Guess your first Third Life wasn't like that?
Hermit Grian: It wasn't, I think I looped into a serious deathgame loop.
Grian: Yeah... Those...those are really bad sometimes, especially when the loop starts in Third Life after Scar is already dead.
Hermit Grian: Has that happened!? I have looped in Third Life hundreds of times but that never happened before.
Grian: Two or three times. Two or three times too much if you ask me.
Hermit Grian: That...wow.
Grian: Soo... wanna have a building competition? See which Grian is best?
Hermit Grian: Oh, you're on.
Loop #346
Tommy: Grian! Wait, fuck, Hermit Grian?
Grian: Life Grian, sorry.
Tommy: Fucking damnit.
Grian: Met other Grian a few loops ago, he explained these kinds of loops a bit. You escaped from exile?
Tommy: Yeah, sometimes when I do I end up here in Hermitcraft and sometimes the hermit loopers are awake.
Grian: Well, I might not be the Life series looper but Hermitcraft is still part of my baseline, so if I can do anything just tell me.
Tommy: Hmm... well I had an idea for a prank.
Grian: I'm all ears.
Tommy: All eyes too.
Grian: Wha- oh right, Watcher loop.
Tommy: I got that part big man.
Loop #348
Another Watcher loop? That was what, 3rd loop in a row? Grian was confused but at least this was a neutral watchers variant so not too bad... But he felt something was different-
Scott: Hello!
Grian: Scott!?! What? Where are you!? How can I hear you.
Scott: Ahaha, not telling.
Grian: I can't ... What? I can't see you using the eyes!?
Scott: Nope!
Grian: How? The only being immunes in this loop are listeners and spea- wait.
Scott: You got it. It's a speaker me variant.
Grian: ... Is that a thing?
Scott: Yep, I have to say one of my favourites variants.
Grian: Why?
Scott: Listen, I like the order and lawful loops a lot, was made an order god like almost as soon as I started looping...but this? I get to have way more fun.
Grian: Uh huh.
Loop #351
Pearl: Wow, this is what? Fifth watcher loop in a row?
Grian: Sixth.
Pearl: Are they loops trying to tell you something?
Grian: I don't know? Are they??
Pearl: I have no clue mate.
Loop #352
Pearl: Another one?
Grian: Yep.
Pearl: ... What's wrong?
Grian: It's this loop's Keralis.
Pearl: Uh? What's wrong with this Keralis?
Grian: He's wrong.
Pearl: Uh?
Grian: I can sense it as a watcher, but I can't tell what he is.
Pearl: Aren't this loop's watchers really powerful?
Grian: That's the problem, I think he's around the level of the dread gods, It's offsetting.
Pearl: You are still a god, titan and watcher multiple times over. You are way more powerful then him.
Grian: ... Still. It's creepy.
Loop #360
Grian: Fast, into that elevator!
Scott: We aren't going to fit-
Grian: Fast!
Scar barreled into the elevator first, then Mumbo followed by Pearl and Scott and finally Grian. Grian pressed the first butt as fast as he could and the door closed.
Grian: We did it-
Then everything started going wrong when the elevator started shuddering for a while followed by all 1000 floors buttons glowing.
Mumbo: What?
Scar: Did we break something?
Pearl: Did Scar break something?
Scar: Hey!
Grian: No, Scar didn't break anything... I think... But I think I know what happened.
Scott: I think I know too. An elevator loop?
Grian: Yep.
Scott: Ok, fuck, at least we are getting it over with relatively early?
Pearl: What are you two talking about?
Grian: It's a loop stuck in elevator, 1000 floors to see, happens to all loopers eventually.
•Floor 6
Mumbo: I-is that space?
Pearl: Yeah mate, beautiful right?
Mumbo: Yeah! But how are being forced out by the pressure difference? Or freezing?
Grian: Loop magic probably.
Scar: Oh! Good. Don't want to get sucked by space now do we?
Grian: Scar!
Scott: AH! OH, Scar, never change.
Scar: What? What's wrong with sucking?
Scott: AHHHH You're killing me Scar!
•Floor 34
Scott: I'm noticing most of these floors are empty?
Grian: Yeah, not all floors are weird I think.
Pearl: Well, we are going to just skip this one then.
•Floor 56
Grian: Oh look, biblically accurate garden of eden.
Pearl: Do you think we can reach for the fruit of knowledge from here.
Scott: Isn't the whole point of the whole thing not to eat the fruit of knowledge.
Pearl: I hate ehen you are right.
Grian: Well, technically, God told Adam and Eve specifically not to eat the fruit. Not us.
Scott: Oh look we are going to the next floor. Too bad, we aren't getting smitten this time around. So sad.
•Floor 69
Scott: Oh? Oh! OH!
Grian: Just go to the next floor, please.
•Floor 87
Scar: Ohhhh! Look at all these pictures! I'm going to grab one or two.
Scott: They are nice, I'll take one as well.
•Floor 99
Mumbo: Ok... This is starting to be a bit boring now. How much left G?
Grian: We are still less then a tenth in.
Scott: Ugh.
Mumbo: Why? Is it so slow!?
•Floor 123
Scott: A church?
Grian: It's the winners church , saw it once in a loop. Every winner of the life series has a window.
Scott: Oh I can see mine! I look good like that~
Scar: Why is mine holding an eclipse? I tought my sign was the Earth.
Grian: It is, like 90% of the time, but sometimes it something different and Martyn is the Earth. Me, Scott and Pearl are the only ones whose symbol remains mostly the same in all loops.
•Floor 147
Old Lady: Oh dears, stuck in a magic elevator? Here, have some fruit to eat.
Mumbo: O-oh Thank you madam... H-Here, take a diamond.
Old Lady: Oh wow, that is one big diamond... I can't just take this for a bit of fruit...hmmm...here, one of my tarot decks you may have it.
Mumbo: Thank you ... It looks like we are going now, goodbye.
•Floor 148
Grian: Mumbo, you do know that carot decks has images of the life series players as major arcanas.
Mumbo: Wait what?
Grian: And you got this from a totally normal old lady?
Mumbo: She looked normal at least?
Grian: Of course she did.
•Floor 173
Mumbo: Ok, ok, pick a random card.
Grian: ... Sun. Of course.
Mumbo: Weird, that shouldn't...that's unlikely.
Pearl: Unless the cards are actually magic.
Mumbo: Ok, ok there's no way. See, I picked a devil, why would it be a devil
•Floor 192
Grian: Is that-?
Scott: -Christian hell?
Mumbo: I... I'm going to keep these cards I think.
Scar: Let's close before-
Pearl: Wait mate, I see someone in the flames.
Scott: It's Charlie Slimecicle and... Ranboo? Wait is this Genloss-
Pearl: Hey mate! Want to come alpng?
Ranboo: Who are you-
Pearl grabbed Ranboo just in time for the door to close behind him leaving behind a shocked Charlie.
Pearl: Oops.
•Floor 212
Ranboo: Timeloops? You guys are crazy!
Grian: Weren't you just in literal hell?
Ranboo: ... I...
•Floor 244
Seller: And here we have a cloak made of pure chaos.
Buyer #1: 5 diamonds!
Buyer #2: 10 diamonds.
Buyer #3: 15 diamonds?
Pearl: I'll take it for 100 diamonds.
Seller: 100 diamonds? Going once. Going twice. And we have a buyer! Here is your cloak miss.
Pearl: Here are the diamonds.
Buyer: Wow, that's the second time this has happened.
•Floor 253
Grian: Why did you buy that cloak?
Pearl: Listen, what part of red cloak of pure chaos isn't cool to you? Plus, I get to be extra scary whenever I loop as 5AM Pearl again.
Ranboo: What are you people talking about!??
•Floor 269
Grian: Hello there!
Hermit Grian: Oh, Life! Elevator loop?
Grian: ...Yeah.
Hermit Grian: I feel that, say do ping me next time we are in the same loop. I have something to tell you.
Grian: Oh yeah. Sure!
Hermit Grian: See you then!
•Floor 291
Scott: Back to christian hell we go. Ranboo?
Ranboo: W-wait, is this my stop then?
Pearl: Yeah, I think so. Say, take some potions and golden apples. They might be useful.
Ranboo: A-alright? B-bye?
Pearl: Bye!
•Floor 327
Scar: Jellie pandas!
Grian: Don't you dare let one of them in the elevator.
Scar: But-
Grian: No.
Scar: Can I at least pet it.
Grian: Sure.
•Floor 388
Grumbot: Cogito Ergo Sum, I think therefore I am-
Grian: Oh, Grumbot...
Grumbot: You!
Grian: I'm sorry this is what happened... really am.
Grumbot: YOU-
But he never got to speak as the elevator closed It's doors.
•Floor 416
Scott: Aeoulus!
Aeoulus: Scott! My favorite looper! Was being me fun!
Scott: Oh it was great until someone started being grumpy.
Aeoulus: Oh yeah, I totally understand the feeling. I got to be you once.
Scott: Oh really? You'll have to tell me about it next time!
Aeoulus: Byeee!
After that she floated away while humming her song.
•Floor 419
Grian: How do you know the wind god?
Scott: We met a few loops before I looped as her by looping as Odysseus.
Grian: Huh. Alright then.
•Floor 467
Grian: Are the doors stuck?
Scott: Well, this is weird.
Mumbo: I could uh...try and see if anything is wrong?
Pearl: I don't think this works by redstone-
Scar: Oh we are going up! I wanted to see!
Grian: Maybe It's best we don't.
•Floor 500.
Pearl: C'mon guys, we are halfway there! We can do this.
•Floor 532
Martyn: My king, is that a magic elevator ?
Ren: My prayers to the gods have worked! They sent us help to destroy the rebels!
Grian: Yeah no way
Ren: What- Wait, Grian!?! Why did the gods send you!?
Grian: Excuse you, I sent myself.
Martyn: Are you a god!?!!
Grian: I mean I guess.
And then the doors closed.
•Floor 589
Grian: Another empty corridor-
Suddenly a man runs into the elevator.
Man: Oh I'm so sorry, I'm in a bit of a hurry?
Grian: Were do you need to go?
Man: Uh. Floor uh... 603?
Pearl: Oh that will take a bit.
Man: U-uh?
Scar: Someone, not me, pressed all the floor buttons.
Man: Oh no. I'll be late!
•Floor 598
Man: Ah!?! Is that a d-dragon?
Grian: No just a really realistic picture.
Man: O-oh of course.
•Floor 603
Man: Oh finally.
And the man runs into the corridor.
Grian: That was weird.
Scott: That was like, just a regular guy.
•Floor 652
Grian: Hey Timmy!
E2 Jimmy: Grian!?! How have you done this!??
Grian: Missed me?
E2 Jimmy: How!?
Grian: No time to explain! Bye!
•Floor 666
Mumbo: This is... Just the void.
Scott: It's not, stay away from the entrance.
Pearl: What's wrong.
Scott: Just...stay away from the doors.
Grian: Yes. Don't go near the void.
Scar: What's out there?
Grian: ... What do you think?
•Floor 702
Scott was working on the perfect curse, finally he could make the other pay-
Scott: Hey Witch me!
Witchcraft Scott: Who?
Scott: Sup It's me. You. Have you forgotten something?
Witchcraft Scott: Forgotten-
Wait, this impostor was right! He couldn't believe he forgot such a basic ingredient. He would need to get more hair to do this.
Scott: Hey, I got you. Take some of this.
•Floor 742
Scar: Hey!
...
No one.
Scar: Oh c'mon.
Grian: You'll get it next time don't worry.
•Floor 783
Scar: Magic hands man! Magic hands man!
Scott: Scar you're a vex. And a demigod. And who knows what.
Scar: I know!
Scott: Then why are you scared?
Scar: Who said I was scared?
•Floor 824
Mumbo: Wait are those the backrooms?
Grian: You know about them?
Mumbo: Of course I know about them! I didn't think the loops were connected to it though.
Scott: They are...and aren't. It's complicated. There isn't really a backrooms loop but lots of fused loops with them.
Mumbo: That's...weird.
•Floor 868
Grian: I think I might fall asleep now, these last I don't know how many floors have been corridors.
Scott: Not even colorful ones. Would it kill people to use a bit of yellow, cyan or pink?
•Floor 910
Grian: Hey you Rem.
Scar: Grian what are you doing?
Grian: This is the one evil Ren I told you about!
Mumbo: The one who experimented on people?
Grian: Yeah! Well I'm going to do something insane.
Pearl: Oh?
Grian: Yeah, you! Guess what?
Scar: ...?
Grian: FUCK YOU!
Ren: Grian!?! How dare I'll get my army-
Grian: And tell them that *I* swore at you? Especially after magically appearing in the sky inside a magic elevator? Come on, call for them, I want to see. They'll never believe you.
It didn't even take that much dread god magic to make that Ren cower.
•Floor 911
Scar: You- uh what?
Grian: It's a one time thing.
Scott: That was ...holy shit.
Pearl: I didn't you could do that mate.
•Floor 934
Mumbo: Nope, nope, nope, nothing to see here.
Scar: Wait I want to see-oh Is that you... and Grian? Uh... I'll just uh. Sit back?
Mumbo: T-that's not us, that's just a variant!
....
Scott: Doesn't have to be... I didn't expect Grian to be the top-
Grian: I will feed you to my mushrooms with no regrets.
•Floor 967
...
Grian: I hate elevator music now.
Scar: Now you know how I feel in the permit office.
Grian: It truly is the worst torture.
Scar: It is!
Grian: It what makes me want to use it even more, cower in fear.
•Floor 1000
Grian: Ok, get out get out before we are accidentally called back down!
It didn't take being told fir everyone to run out.
Loop #361
Grian: We did it! We are out!
Scott: Thank all the gods and admins.
Scar: Oh earth, sweet earth.
Mumbo: You said loopers go trough this once. Only once right?
Grian: Yeah.
Mumbo: GOOD.

Can I see more of your builds on your server? Especially exteriors it’s so inspiring for me
╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa of course gkjfkdgj i hope this won't be too long but i'd love to show off my little area
i built real close to spawn because i made farms that i wanted to be accessible to everyone... and i wanted to be there in case new people enter the server :D
my house/storage. it's too small. i need to make a bigger storage system asap. at one point some folks built a big blender on top of the tower gfjdgkjfg also yes that is a tiny jimmy behind the house we'll get back to him soon
bamboo farm!!! it's terribly inefficient but it looks pretty!!!!!!!!!! all the barrels around the farm are filled with bamboo and anyone can take however much they want :D we do a little communism
honey farm!!! the redstone breaks constantly but it's ok it works too well anyway. i love watching the bees. i wish people would take more honeycomb i have too much of it
juice bar!!! yeah that's the blender that was originally on my house i repurposed it!!! also made this whole build simply because i managed to put a custom model into the game gkfjkg
spawn nether portal!!! not much to say about it i'm just happy i was allowed to decorate it because i had a VISION(tm)
couple of bots and my tiny lava farm :D first bot just walks around. the second guards my house. the third spreads ehhh pollen or something. the fourth makes music :D i care them very much
moss farm!!!!!!!!! i tried to make it sorta look like a lab? it's hard to make round shapes in the block game but i keep trying every time hehe
my magnum opus?????? i love this windmill. it has no function other than bubble elevator into the mines. i just think it's pretty
robot factory!!! also no function!!! just lore(?)!!!!! i like the colours so very much...
my smelter setup :D it's meant to be used by everyone but it's a little bit tucked away gfkjdgk i hope people can find it
and last but not least: some guys. just some little dudes. vibing (jimmy was initially made for me as a little gift so i gave him his rancher...)
that's my area :D this was fun actually i think maybe i can do a server tour eventually to show off everyone else's cool builds too :O !!!!!!!

let me cook. picture me this.
we're about 12-14 months into hermitcraft season X and people's seasons are starting to wind down. finishing touches on megabuilds, games are being played and episodes are mostly spent with the hermits just screwing around for fun, (snails, gigacorp, cleos story for their base, etc. are all wrapping up)
however, one thing that has been prevalent throughout the entire season, so much more so than seasons' past, was the fact it seemed it was always raining. not just little in-game showers that lasted maybe 20 minutes no, i'm talking rain that would last hours, days even! and this has been very notable with multiple hermits addressing it in their videos and not being able to get around filming during the times when the sun was out, because it never lasted too long.
anyways, this doesn't matter that much, and many hermits learn to enjoy the rain! gem's trident shop ends up selling out quick as people realize riptide 3 tridents are much more efficient for elytra travel compared to rockets, and with the right shader packs many are able to make their videos more atmospheric and ✨aesthetic✨. so overall, the rain isn't a huge issue, just a minor inconvenience.
until the river starts flooding.
it's inconspicuous at first. very few hermits have builds that are right at sea-level so even fewer even notice any huge change. plus, the water only rose by one block so who cares. days pass by, then a couple weeks, no change, no worries. then it rises again. again, only by a block, but now the waves are starting to lap at the foundation of some houses, shorelines and property-lines becoming closer to being one and the same. now, while not too fussed, some hermits are starting to become slightly paranoid about the water.
the next water rise comes quickly, mere days after the last. still one block but now the hermits are taking quick notice. the race to high ground is swift, many building new bases on nearby mountains, other more dedicated hermits moving their entire bases up onto stilts to avoid their beautiful builds being drowned by the ever-expanding ocean deep. and the water keeps rising.
redstone farms are destroyed, the shopping district has become a capitalistic lost city of atlantis, grian and gem are unsurprisingly thriving in their new aquatic environment. the only safe dry areas are the nether and the end, because how would you flood the void.
we've reached the near end of the season, the sea expanding out for thousands of miles, as far as the eye can see, with the tops of mountains having become islands, sanctuaries from the deep unknown blue of the ocean. grian, gem, impulse, skizz, scar, joel and mumbo all sit on what used to be magic mountain, now just a few blocks above sea-level, looking out across the endless ocean skyline through the near eternal rainstorm.
"grian," mumbo begins. "yes?" grian sighs, tired and weather-beaten from the endless downpour.
"is the ocean big?"
#hermitcraft#glowsticcc rambles#someone else pointed out the frequency of rain being mentioned and my brain just rolled with it#hermitcraft season 10#hermitcraft season 10 theories#anyways i like the idea of the ocean just slowly taking over the server#season 8 had the moon#season 9 has whatever multiverse shenanigans were going on all the time#now season 10 can have the ocean :D#its just really cool to me i love the ocean and i LOVE ocean-based horror#anyways if i am in anyway slightly right about this you all owe me $20#or a smack in the face by a dodgeball
