Ok I guess this week has been all about going through a bunch of short stuff (and finishing one old thing I was almost done with), so you get to drink from the firehose.
The old thing was Bayonetta 2, which for some reason I took a break from for like 2-3 years. The first game had a bunch of good ideas in it but felt like it wasn't quite finished to me, but this one improved on all that and polished everything better, and it was a lot of fun. I'm not great at it, especially not after trying to jump back in in the middle after not playing for multiple years, but I was managing ok by the end at least. It's just non-stop nonsense that's constantly escalating and getting more ridiculous, and somehow they manage to pull that off. I kind of almost wish they leaned even more into the camp aspects of it sometimes, because the moments where Bayonetta comes across as "what if a cis woman was a gay man?" are always fun, and I'm always a sucker for female characters who are kind of snarky/bitchy/sarcastic.
Subsurface Circular was pretty good too. I knew the name Mike Bithell in the opening credits sounded familiar but was not prepared for it to directly reference Thomas Was Alone (the original thing he became known for and another great game) at one point in the story. "You are a robot detective solving robot crimes by talking to other robots on the subway" is a great premise, and it went in some reasonably interesting directions I wasn't expecting by the end. Some of the characters are kind of fun too.
I gave up on Can Androids Survive really quickly, like a few minutes in, which is a shame after how amazing Can Androids Pray was. I actually have a feeling it's probably fine or even good, but I didn't love the default controls, and when I tried to remap them the game softlocked. I'll probably give it another shot at some point when it goes on sale on itch.io or Steam, but the Switch version isn't happening.
Florence was pretty cute and good though. It's another one of those things that manages to tell a story and develop its characters with almost zero text or dialogue, and it does it well. I don't really have a ton to say about it beyond that it's a good use of a couple bucks and less than an hour of your time. Oh, and that I appreciate the stuff they managed to pull off entirely through very simple gameplay, like showing characters getting closer and more comfortable with each other just through how you put together speech bubbles for implied conversations. Very simple but very effective.
And then finally there's Death Becomes You, which I have mixed feelings on. I guess I'd call it a yuri murder mystery VN with much more emphasis on the murder mystery than the yuri. There are definitely some good ideas in it, and I like that it's not afraid to focus on toxic or even abusive relationships and recovering from them, and the world it takes place in is more interesting than I expected. That said, the writing isn't really my style overall. Some of it works pretty well sometimes, but I had a bit of a rough time getting into it at first because of how unlikable the characters and their interactions came across at first, and not in a way that made me want to know more. I did warm up to them somewhat, but like a review on Steam put it I was more intellectually interested in what the story was doing and not so much emotionally invested in the characters or what was going on. Also most of the endings feel really abrupt and like they needed slightly more to them to feel like they were really earned. I'm still curious what they'll do in the future though because there's definitely potential for something interesting there.

The Sightstealer Saga: Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been a regular day at Sparks; everybody was going about their chores as usual, with no way to guess the turn the day was about to take...
Boop, one of our cleansweeper mechanoids, was suddenly attacked by a terrifying figure that appeared as if from nowhere!! Fortunately, Boop recalled the many tales of Stabby the Roomba that it had heard and managed to "sweep the floor"—if you'll excuse the pun—with its sightstealer foe before limping back to the safety of our main walled-in area to be repaired.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boop's heroic victory was seen as a declaration of war to all sightstealers nearby, but despite their knack for turning invisible, they were not very good at sneaking up on us and screamed hideous war cries so everybody knew they were coming.
Hopefully, we don't acquire an unexpected newborn from this sightstealer attack. We love Ivy to bits, but one adopted child is enough; thank you very much. Hear that, Randy? No new colonists!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*sigh* I suppose that's what I get for tempting fate...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alistair was quick, but not quiiite quick enough to avoid a few claw-slashes on his arm. It's tricky for him to fight while running and also carrying a fifteen-year-old boy with the most impeccably groomed facial hair I've ever seen on anybody under thirty-five.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the end, though, Alistair and Ludwig made it inside safely, and everybody ignored Ludwig in favour of welding Alistair back together first. Still, it doesn't sound like the ordeal is over yet. We've sealed the gates and holed up for a sightstealer siege. Stay tuned for The Sightstealer Saga Part Two!!

Original Resident Evil 2 concept art of Leon having a bad time.
While the Resident Evil 2 Survival Guide is full of absolute nonsense, it also contains some cool behind the scenes stuff, including some concept art.
I will try to post more of the art at a later date, but for now, please enjoy our boy having the worst first day ever.

Pretty sure this last one isn't Leon, but it was funny so here it is.

god, maybe: here’s a 33k character count completed oneshot philsho/narusho fic where isaka stabbed a regression type of memory on shotaro to try and develop time travel powers and shotaro managed to prevent a lot of tragedies in this new timeline but in actuality he has to deal with letting go of both the chief’s and philip’s deaths so that the memory doesn’t finalize and isaka can’t use it for nefarious purposes to bring back the Museum but of course shotaro CAN’T help it bc it’s in his nature to not let go of a future where nobody gets hurt
me: ……what’s the twist

77. Ballad of the Walking Machines — CG5, JT Music
All the sins remain with the pain inside They reskinned my face, but the paint won't dry If you're alive right now, survive right now That's all you can do
Ohhh I'm so glad I finally get to draw to Ballad of the Walking Machines!! This one has been rattling around in my head since last year's wrapped drawings, but I was never able to put any of my thoughts onto paper!
On Bdubs' playlist, this song has always stuck to me as a representation of the other side of all of the horrors Etho's undergone over the course of Season 8, set during Destruction as Bdubs waits outside of the lab for what's supposed to be a relative simple diagnostic appointment, so he was told. As Bdubs, completely unaware than anything was even wrong with Etho until the start of the season, waits with baited breath to hear if his friend is okay, he's remind of their rough beginnings and how far he's come, both as a person and as Etho's friend. The tension that had come from a place of fear now comes from a desperate hope that Etho will be okay, and Ballad of the Walking Machines really well represents the juxtaposition between Bdubs' original fears of androids and his fear and hope in the present day that his dear friend will be okay.

Some more dick-related brain rot…😘
We take the self serve dick bar and use monsters for the monster hotel. We are going to have that full “continental breakfast.” So we have a forest entity cumming maple syrup, a Minotaur cumming milk/creme, a yeti who cums slushies, a slime who cums various jams depending on whatever fruit we feed it, and any more monsters who we can utilize ☺️
When you were talking about your rats, it made me think of some rat-hybrid monster where reader can steer him via. his dick, like a reverse Ratatouille scenario 🐀
Having a robot/android partner, I could use his dick as a literal joy stick when playing video games. Also, if I have to charge robot/android, do you think his dick acts like a giant extension cord I could just plug into the outlet in the wall? Also does that mean he technically “eats” with his dick? I assume when traveling with him internationally, I gotta get a lot of compatible adapters so he can get plugged in successfully🕹️
A Hydra monster would be kinda funny to have sex with, cause maybe if you cut its “head” down south, two more will grow back 🤔
I think that’s all for now. Tell your man that he is very much appreciated, and it’s nice he’s in this club of debauchery 😉

This amount of thirst and depravity is exactly what the monster guests would come up with just to have Reader employee touch them. 😭 Content: gender neutral reader, rancid NSFW!!! (more white sauce I’m afraid), monster smut
Tumblr media
The latest fad your centaur manager has been into is food cooked with bodily fluids. This has had several implications, all of them regrettably involving you.
While the idea has been gripping at his mind like a great plague, he can't possibly ask you to just...let go over his breakfast toast. He can already see how exhausted you return after being used by the starved guests. They stuff you just enough for you to wonder if you'll survive it, then make sure to clean up their mess, politely aiding your speedy recovery, almost as if they weren't the cause of destruction to begin with. The manager has heard it one too many times that your nether regions are numb from all the monstrous tongues and appendages.
Maybe a change of scenery will help.
"Kitchen staff? I thought I'm supposed to clean the rooms", you inquire, somewhat confused by the sudden proposal.
"It's not quite...kitchen duties, per se. We need someone to help with the hotel's breakfast. We have a new experimental menu, though not enough...hands."
You should've expected it. How bad could it possibly be, you told yourself, pouring some orange juice for the seated guests? You had your first suspicions from the big, flashy sign now propped outside the room: service provided by our esteemed and loved human employee. You didn't need to ponder much on its meaning. Once inside, your task became painfully clear. You were to milk the guests for the required ingredients.
Having their way with you is a treat in itself, but seeing you struggle with your small, human hands, trying to figure them out? Priceless. Well, for them, anyways. Despite your protests, you have left your morning shifts with a ridiculous number of tips. Maybe it's the way you look up through your lashes as you explain: "Of course I know your weak spot. You're one of my- our regulars." Or maybe it's the way you tease your favorites, wondering out loud, with a grin, if you should have some of the generous release for your own lunch later.
Your hard work has not gone unnoticed. The centaur head manager recently made the sheepish suggestion of having you at the receiving end of this new service, trying his best to sound convincing, and hiding the fact it’s been his most ardent wish for the past couple of weeks. Maybe he will get his breakfast topping, after all.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Justice League Various x Reader) After centuries of surviving in a world without another human in sight, you return and find the heroes you once admired to be the only interesting things around, besides beating the shit out of monsters, of course.
Implied sexual content ahead, minors DNI.
You would describe yourself to be the pinnacle of mediocrity, your life consisting of drowning in course readings and dealing with people’s bullshit in your customer service job. You existed. You may not have been wholly content, but you got by.
And, sure you, like millions of other desolate young adults, had fantasies of escapism, being strong, being someone special. But you ultimately knew your place. You were no hero; no alien or chosen human that could answer to a greater calling. You were just you, average in every way. So unlike the heroes and villains that occupy your world. You’ll never make an impact that’ll even come close to the likes of them.
The only thing you can hope to do is try to make your parent’s suffering of starting a life here worth it. That all the money and work invested in you would have some sort of pay off. Even if it means you had to traverse a path you’re still uncertain about.
You knew your limits, and maybe that rigid acceptance is what led to your own self destruction.
You find yourself in a desolate world void of humans but occupied with beasts unlike anything you have ever seen before, with sharpened talons and razored blades for teeth. No matter how much you cry and scream you do not wake up. The only communication you get comes in the form of ‘tabs’ that resemble something out of a video game. It’s gives you quests to adhere, reminders to keep things interesting, notifications you’re being watched by deities that watch your struggle like a show to tune into. Every moment, no matter how humiliating, is spectated.
You want nothing more to return to the life you had, answer the messages you never got the chance to respond to, try the things you never got to even attempt. You curse your inaction, your own spoiled thoughts from a lifetime ago, your parents for even giving birth to you if this is the reality you have to face.
Your survival hangs on a thread at first, you only being able to run away from the larger beasts. Eventually your tears dry, you fight back against the ones smaller than you. These Outergods sponsor you with a game like currency. You level up. You acquire gear better than a makeshift bone shiv. You consume. You sleep. And you do it all over again for the next couple centuries in this world. You do not age, but you grow taller, strengthened by the creatures you slaughter. Eventually, you don’t need a blade to slay them anymore. Then the beasts try to avoid you. You still kill them. They’re never ending. The least they can do is give you something to do in their infinity.
You stop feeling fear, sadness, indignation, and even hatred. You exist. You somewhat remember the life and name you had before. You don’t really feel one way about it or the other. Your family, obligations, and old identity are all null and void to you now.
Clearly your spectators grow bored as they send you back to the world you once called yours. Apparently barely a year has passed since you were taken, even if you might be the oldest human to walk Earth now.
For the first time in a long time, you’re struck with uncertainty. A world that isn’t stuck in time, one loud with the presence of people, and yet you feel no relief or sanctity in the safety of your old home. No, you’re struck with how just like in that beast world, you’re still horrifically, agonizingly bored.
Until you notice a hoard of androids terrorize the street. You can feel the blood thrumming in your veins, and you realize with renewed vigour that it wasn’t bloodshed that you had yearned for, but the thrill of battle, not knowing if you’ll live, and putting everything you had left on the line after abandoning the softness that once defined your modern life.
And so you fought. You were barely grazed with a laser, but you could appreciate the adrenaline rushing through your body, the uncertainty of a new adversary. You paid little mind to the screaming civilians trying to evacuate the streets, all you cared about was tearing about these metal beings before they could even try to do the same to you.
You’re broken from the euphoria of battle when you feel a whoosh of air behind you, and a dozen androids deactivate before you.
“Hey there, don’t think Ive ever seen you around,” what appeared to be living electrical energy clad in crimson spoke to you, in a tone you could almost recognize as friendly. “Not that I mind the help! I’m always happy to meet—!”
You can feel your pupils dilate as every inch of your body screams that this man is dangerous. Powerful. Different from the fodder you faced before.
“—so, what do you go by?”
Summoning your broad sword, you swiftly slam it into the ground below, watching the man get tossed back by its force as the concrete crumbles beneath him.
You toss your sword to where he lands, but he quickly recovers and disappears before reappearing before you.
“Woah, what are you—“ you interrupt him by throwing a punch but he dodges again, “Can we talk about this sudden aggression—!?”
Tiring of his evasion, you recall your sword and prepare to strike the ground again before pausing as a sudden rush of memories strikes you.
“Ah,” you hum, before stretching out your hand, halting the approaching speedster that stares at you confused. “You’re that one hero…Bolt, or whatever. Speed guy.”
Yes, a hero. Not a warrior. Not a survivor. And certainly not a killer. You feel the apathy rush back as you stare at him. No, you wouldn’t get a real fight out of him. He’d sooner try to subdue you. Non-lethally. Honestly, he was way too nice.
“Flash? I mean, I’m the Flash, hero of the city you’re in!” The speedster fumbles for a second, starting at you in puzzlement.
“Yeah, let’s just call it here.” You sigh before walking away. You definitely forgot heroes were a thing for a second. And takeout.
You’re stopped in your tracks when Flash blocks your path.
“Woah there, you can’t just leave!” He protests.
“Why not?”
“You took down like hundreds of androids, attacked me, and-and you haven’t even introduced yourself!”
“Hmm, I think I forgot my name,” you reply, bring a hand up to your chin in mock contemplation.
“What-?”
“Do you want to have sex with me or something?” You ask. “Because you’re being a bit clingy, man.”
The hero states at you with his mouth agape, and you can see the red flush growing around his cowl.
“I get it, it’s pretty easy for arousal to mix with thrill in battle. I won’t say I’m not attracted to you, but I’ve got things to do, people to fight, and I doubt I can get what I need from you,” you explain nonchalantly. “But hey, keep your head up, man. There’s some charm in being the fastest man alive. I’d test it under different circumstances, really.”
You back away as Flash remains still as a statue, exposed skin now matching his suit as he blankly watched you leave.
“What just happened…?”
Tumblr media
Honestly you don't have anything against heroes. You pity them, really. They remind you of your own inexperience once upon a time, fighting against the inevitable. But you can't deny that there are some with years beyond even yours, continuing to fight in their crusade.
Some more interesting than others.
Hawkgirl, who you recall to have been a member of the Justice Society of America, was someone that made you look like a babe in comparison to the lifetimes held in that strong body. Good fighter too. You're almost disappointed your battle was interrupted by another invasion and she apparently found you to be an ally rather than an opponent after that. You just wanted to see if those aliens were worth a damn.
Wonder Woman also stood out for the same reason, encountering her when you arrived at Themyscira for a duel with their strongest. And boy did she deliver. But sadly you could see that she adopted a non-lethal style, fighting only till first blood rather than to the death.
At least their bathhouse was luxurious even if it was communal. Diana said that it was for bonding. You think she was totally checking you out.
You could say that you were becoming increasingly familiar with the growing Justice League, encountering its members every so often.
You didn't pick a fight, aware it would be more trouble than it was worth. You doubt you'd be too satisfied either.
So when you find yourself encountering the Bat in Gotham after subduing Clayface, you're not surprised.
You're also not surprised when he recites your name and missing status.
He drones on about the circumstances of your disappearance, your return as a much stronger (and hotter) individual, and your dubious intentions.
You throw you sword at him, and he ducks out of the way, throwing you a glare just as sharp as your blade.
You explain that he's not a great speaker, and he should invest in some interpersonal communication courses. And that's coming from you. You then add you'll leave after you try the recently opened batburger.
He gives you a ride in his Batmobile.
Tumblr media
Superman was a bit of an irritating figure. A boy scout, despite his godlike abilities. Staring at him, you wonder how much kinetic force it would take to burst the blood vessels beneath that impenetrable skin.
"We would really like for you to visit the Watchtower! We understand if you may not want to commit to being a full time member, so if we could call on you—!"
He pauses when you outstretch your hand and stare at him with a raised eyebrow. He places his hand in yours, almost as if it was instinct, blushing when you brush your thumb across his skin.
You hum in thought before departing.
"Uh, wait! Was that a yes!?"
Tumblr media
You're pretty sure you're about to bed Green Lantern. You had come to Coast City, curious to see if any disasters would occur to alleviate your boredom, but had instead ran into a man with swoopy hair and an nice aviator jacket in a bar. He was pleasant. He seemed charmed by your Superman/Lex Luthor conspiracy theories. And he talked about flying with a passion unfamiliar to you.
So when you ended up at his place, back against his door as he kissed and nipped at your neck, you pulled him back by his brown hair to look at you.
"I'm a virgin, by the way."
He stares at you incredulously with a touch of concern. "Are you sure this is how you want your first time to go? We don't have to do this."
You doubt you'll get a fight out of him. He'd probably just trap you in a construct, but there are other ways for you to get physical.
...and you needed the experience for the next time an Amazonian propositions you.
"I like you well enough. And I've waited a long time to actually do something like this," you reply, still playing with his hair.
"You really want to do this with an older guy?"
You laugh, "I'm definitely the older one here."
His lip twitches as he shoots you an amused look, "And I'm Batman."
"Do you really want to talk about him before we-?”
The lantern silences you with another hot kiss that you grin into.
Yes, this Justice League certainly made things interesting, even if some of them were obnoxious do-gooders.

Hal: So, what's your name?
Returnee, with jumbled memories: Demonic Blade of Slaughter
Hal:
Returnee: Do you want to have sex?
Tumblr media
Returnee: So, yeah, I was trapped in a monster world for presumably centuries with these outer world gods being the only other sentient beings and they only made contact via stream chat donations. And the only thing that even elicits any emotional or physiological response in me is violence.
Batman, internally dying:
Returnee: Don't worry, I don't fight street tiers like you.
Tumblr media
Diana: It's been a while since l've last had such an invigorating bout, I would love to spend more time testing how far we can push each other to... our limits.
Returnee, who spent the last centuries off Earth as a virgin: I hear the glory of battle calling, must be off, let's fight again soon!
Tumblr media
Outergods: Okay, so the human has definitely cleared this world, so how about we return this bloody thirsty heathen back to their original world and see what entertainment we find in the chaos—!
Outergods: Okay, so they're just having sex with all these superpowered individuals. And is that—-Oh my god, is that Constantine!?
Outergods: Yeah, no, this is hot, I'm donating 10k coins for that.
Clearing out my drafts! I really love the whole system in ORV and I found the returnee concept so interesting. Masterlist

This, to me, is the most impactful ending in the game. Spoilers, obviously.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You get this ending by getting Kara captured, winning the Revolution (and I do mean REVOLUTION, not demonstration) with Markus and freeing the androids at the CyberLife Tower with Connor.
And this is almost perfect, as an ending. Yes, technically the demonstration with high public opinion and Kara at the Canadian Border and Connor as a deviant is considered the best ending, and it does make it possible to have Josh alive at the end, but there's some issues with it.
Disregarding how the pacifist ending is unrealistic because public opinion without activism (and even often with activism) doesn't work in real life and demonstrably hasn't worked in-game, either, up until now; a lot of deviants still die. There's like what twenty left at the end? In the revolution ending it looks like more to me although I could be wrong.
Tumblr media
Then there's also this: in the pacifist ending, Markus, for a lack of violence, can't shut down the camps. I'm pretty sure - and correct me if I'm wrong - that you cannot free Kara and Alice (and Luther and Jerry and literally the hundreds of other innocent people) by succeeding with the demonstration. So while Markus has set up camp in front of the concentration camps, innocent androids such as Alice are getting destroyed within the camp. And you can't save them. More androids die in the camp by choosing to demonstrate when there is a genocide being enacted on the androids.
Kara's storyline is somewhat about the simple people. It's about the heart. The people just trying to survive, that just want to live and be free. The people that, for whatever reasons, whether they don't have the means to do so or they have something they can't afford to lose, can't fight back. North says "If you're not willing to fight for your freedom, then maybe you don't deserve it." (as a comeback to Josh being an infuriating pacifist) and while I get the frustration, I don't agree. Everyone deserves freedom. The people who can't or won't fight included. The Kara Captured part shows that those people cannot be saved through naive hope but only through concrete means of action.
If I critically think about Markus' situation when choosing Revolution or Demonstration, demonstration is not a viable option.
In this playthrough, I played the best route possible for Markus (in regards to public opinion), which means: Markus didn't push Leo (I mostly wanted the graveyard scene in Night of the Soul). Markus steals the truck of spare parts by distracting the guards with the barrels. Markus doesn't kill anyone in Stratford Tower (and neither does North). Markus sends a strong pacifist message during Capitol Park and doesn't kill the cops. At this point, public opinion is high. Now comes Freedom March. Law enforcement doesn't care that public opinion is high. Markus chooses to stand his ground and sacrifice himself to once again send a pacifist message and really get his point across. Public opinion is really supportive.
Law enforcement doesn't care.
Even with high public opinion, no one does anything to stop androids getting rounded up in the streets, shot in the back running away, or shot in the head even though they're kneeling on the ground in surrender. Androids are being stuffed into concentration camps, which the public understands as being just that indicated by the journalists' questions, yet no one does anything. There's no human protests, no one attempting to contact the androids to help them, no resistance against the camps, nothing!! Nothing! All there is are a couple people on TV who go like "Damn those androids really looked like people who just want to be free and the cops just shot them in the back! :( this is so America."
Public opinion hasn't done anything for the androids and still isn't! There IS NO HUMAN ACTIVISM at all!
Not knowing that, since this is a video game, a demonstration leads to the "Best ending", how can you expect Markus to choose demonstration? When protesting hasn't done a thing before, how could you just stand by and say "please don't!" while your people, innocent people are being slaughtered? From my personal view, the only valid choice here is to try and save as many lives as possible through violent revolution.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously, it's desperate, and as Markus says when he succeeds at the battle, "This isn't a victory. It's the beginning of a war." I acknowledge that! Even though in this ending, there is no war, and negotiations begin (because Connor popped up with an army), there's no way to know that going into things. But public opinion is supportive! And in fact, it stays supportive even with the decrease of choosing Revolution! So that gives time to get public opinion to carry over into activism. Violence at this point buys the androids more time, more future, than standing by and marching yourself right to the doors of the concentration camps with no proper way of defending yourself.
And I'm open to discussion on this, I'm interested in hearing other people's viewpoints! Because right now, 150h into the game, I don't see a sensible alternative in the situation of "our people are being killed in concentration camps".
Tumblr media
All of these people on screen would be dead had Markus chosen to demonstrate.

» 🪙 Yandere Connor — RK800 » 🪙 (part 2)
➜ (part 1), (part 3) ➜ cw(s): kidnapping, self-harm mentioned (reader), starvation (reader), suicidal ideations (reader), force feeding, & manipulation ➜ tags: @bimboghostface, @savas-q1, & @aceofheartsssss
You have screamed your voice raw in hopes that some unknown savior will take pity. You have cried your tear ducts dry until your eyes swell and become bloodshot. You have cut into your skin with whatever you can find for just a modicum of control. More times than you can count, you have done these things. Each time the consequences increase, but the probability of escaping does not.
Each new place he—it, that thing you dared call your friend and perhaps even your crush, has hid you in has become progressively more dilapidated. Plush armchairs and soft carpets once softened the torture of your solitude; now splintering wooden floors and asbestos-filled walls are left in their wake. Places so damaged you question why Connor chooses them. It should go against his programming, or whatever's left of it.
But why should you care?
He deviated and showed you once again how dangerous unchecked androids are. Now small groups of rebellious preprogrammed code run amok, causing havoc—at least from what little you've been able to gather. Connor isn't keen on informing you of the goings-on of the outside world. He prefers to reassure you, which does little good (because fuck him).
A familiar shuffling behind the door alerts you. Your head snaps up like a startled deer, staring at the door like a predator will come through. He's drenched in blood when he comes in, red blood. His beanie has been lost. His multitude of jackets have tears and bullet holes. But he looks okay for the most part. The word must really hate you.
"I have news that will please you," he murmurs in that babying tone you have snapped at him to stop using.
He approaches you, kneeling down, a bag stuffed into one of his pockets.
"We'll be at a compound soon—one where my kind are able to live freely. And you have been granted access too. It has all of the necessities and even a bit of luxury."
He takes out the bag, unfazed by his own appearance but noting that it's disturbing you. He pulls out a packet of crackers and some applesauce. No. No, no, no, no.
"Connor, please, let me go," you beg with the panic rising in your voice.
You quickly shake your head as tears prick your dry eyes. You fruitlessly kick at him and yank at the chains holding you down to this place. You can feel the bile rising in your throat and the arduous aches in your muscles struggling to keep it held down, struggling to keep you awake.
Other things arise. The regret of being too weak to fend him off. The sorrow in being denied the right to take your own life.
A plastic spoon is inserted into your mouth with the apple mush oozing off it. You try to spit it out, but he wipes your face and more forcefully inserts the next spoonful into you.
"Nutrition is necessary for human survival, to thrive, yet you deprive yourself of it. Convincing me to let you leave would be much easier if you stopped proving that you are unable to care for yourself."
"I just want to go," the soul-crushing defeat evident in your voice.
Without missing a heartbeat of yours, he responds, "You can't. I-I need you here."
He shoves not just one cracker, but three, into your mouth. You almost choke, but he makes sure you are unable to. Maybe it would just be better if you choked on them. Or your vomit. Or even the shitty plastic spoon he keeps forcing into your mouth.
"You're being selfish," you finally manage to get the words out.
"You're being selfish. I have sacrificed the entirety of my being for you. And still you try to harm yourself. Do you hate me that much?"
He retracts the food from you. He stares unceasingly at you. His LED switching from red to colorless, one of the only parts of him that he has kept since his deviancy.
"Do I hate you?" you incredulously, rhetorically question. "Yes! I hate you! Is that what you want to hear? A confession of how much I loathe you for fucking up what little good was in my life?"
The tears well up and escape down your face, getting wiped off by Connor's attentive hands. You can't stop the shaking or the meltdown his presence has placed upon you.
"I hate you. I-I hate you. I h-hate y-you!"
The last syllable is barely out of your mouth when hands come up to cup your face, squishing your cheeks. Still having a meltdown, your teary eyes are just barely able to make out the abnormal pinkish hue on his LED. A color you've never encountered, even with him being deviant these last months—years, whatever.
"I understand," nearly inaudible, "and I suppose I always have. Your human nature causes you to think irrationally. You aren't able to see the 'bigger picture,' as humans call it. You have suffered at my hands. That I apologize for."
The acknowledgment of his transgressions breaks you down further. You can't quiet the wails escaping you, snot dribbling from your nostrils. Your body rocks itself back and forth in a pitiful attempt at comfort. You can't stop. It won't stop. He won't stop.
It validates him. He continues his tirade, sure that it will have the intended pacifying effect.
"I should be more attentive. But I'm so busy making sure that neither of us is caught by the authorities."
Excuses.
"When we get to the compound, all of that will change. You will have a higher standard of care. Me at your side. Your brain will stop merely surviving."
Promises.
"Then your love for me can bloom."
Resolution. His mission completed with you as his lover.
You quiet. He mistakes, or quite possibly dissmisses, your transition from an unfiltered meltdown to a horrified shutdown as an opportunity to cradle you. And for the first time since your kidnapping, you embrace him back—not out of some sweet, loving bond, but out of need. The need for someone else's closeness, touch—affection, even if it's all wrong. The desperation seeps out of you in droves and into your actions. Your mind and body want to claw at his synthetic skin, tear him apart, and thrive off the warmth of his parts.
...
If he can have a mission beyond his own makers, then you can have one beyond your captor's.

Hmnnnnn Naga reader x Merman!Shark!Vincent...
Naga reader in general with all of them...
Can I get their reaction to their darling actually being a Naga?
Naga reader and Merman Vincent would be so cute! Like they could exchange stuff they found under the water and on the shores!
CW: Suggestive stuff in Esteban and Jacce parts
・*:.。..。.:*・*:.。..。.:*・
Vincent is a mad scientist that lives in a world filled with people with superpowers, so a snake-human hybrid wouldn’t be something scary to him. On the contrary, he would be ecstatic and would ask you a thousand questions. Also, if you are ok with it, he would love to run some harmless test on you. He is doing this for evil and scientific reasons, totally not personal ones.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Martin would be surprised, but not that much. He lives in a post-apocalyptic world and he had to survive through the apocalypse. So it would be plausible for new species to emerge from the catastrophe. Not to mention that he would convince himself that you were lucky he found you first, that he’s the only one that can take care of you and protect you from other humans.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Atlas would be the unfazed king that he is. A human snake? Never heard of it, but since you’re in front of him he might have well had that information in his system. But just imagine if Naga reader and Atlas meet at the dump! Like you were searching for cool stuff in the piles of trash, because this is where you made your home, and found this android still fully active. I’m sure they would bond over the fact that they are both not humans.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Esteban would be PANICKING. His world is pretty much like ours, so for him this situation is purely unnatural. After overcoming his fear he would obviously ask you some questions like “Where are you from?”, “Are there any other creatures like you?”, etc. Since he is a rich guy, he might fancy the idea of keeping you for himself, you’re unique after all! He could build you the biggest terrarium for you to spend your time in. And don’t think your monster appearance will keep him from being horny for you. Esteban is a slut and he will imagine the most toe curling possibilities your body allows.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Jacce would have the same initial reaction as Esteban and he would be as horny as him. The only difference is that this guy was raised on unrestricted internet access. So Jacce knows about Naga anatomy from spicy art and fanfiction au. He may or may not also fantasize about becoming your human pet.

Meet "Riven," a product of a cybernetic experiment that blurred the line between humanity and machine. He wasn't born like this—he was rebuilt. Once a decorated soldier, Riven’s body was salvaged after a catastrophic battlefield incident, his remaining flesh fused with bleeding-edge tech. The world calls him an unstoppable weapon; to him, he's a man chasing the shreds of his own soul. Android x Scientist! Reader
━━━━━━━━ ✴ ━━━━━━━━
Riven wasn’t rebuilt just to survive. You had a singular mission in mind—a near-impossible goal that required a being more machine than man.. 🔧When you first rebuilt Riven, he was a shell—his voice was monotone, his eyes hollow. He followed your instructions like a machine, rarely speaking unless prompted. There were no pleasantries, no “thank yous,” only blunt, mechanical efficiency.
"Where do you need me? Give the order."
You weren’t sure if he resented you for saving him or if he was simply beyond caring.
🔧The first time you saw Riven react with emotion was over something small. Maybe you handed him a repaired piece of gear without saying anything, and he muttered under his breath:
"This fits better. Guess you’re learning." It was so unexpected, you almost dropped your tools. He had just teased you. Slowly but surely, his wit started creeping through the cracks.
🔧Riven watches you work constantly. At first, it’s unnerving—those cold, calculating eyes fixed on your every movement. But you realize it’s not mistrust; he’s studying you, learning how you work, because he doesn’t understand why you’d care so much about him.
"You don’t need to fix me perfectly every time, Doc. I’m built to break."
"I don’t leave work unfinished, Riven. Sit still."
🔧One night, while fine-tuning his neural systems, you stumbled on a corrupted memory file. For a split second, his guard dropped—you heard snippets of his past, his voice raw and human. He didn’t lash out or shut down; instead, he stared ahead and said quietly:
"....Don’t look at me like that, you can’t fix this part of me."
You didn’t push him, but that night, you left a blanket over his chair when you finished your work. He noticed.
🔧Riven isn’t good with words when it comes to care, but his actions speak volumes. If you’ve been up too long working, he’ll stand behind you and lean down to mutter:
"Go to sleep, Doc. This thing will still be here when you wake up." And if you protest, you’ll find your tools taken out of your hands as he shuts the lab lights off himself.
🔧Riven takes your safety personally. If you’re ever in danger—whether from mercenaries, drones, or even a collapsing building—his instinct is to shield you first and fight second. He does it silently, but there’s an edge of urgency in his voice:
"You don’t get to die, Doc. Not after all this."
🔧When he returns damaged—gashes through metal plating, his synthetic skin frayed—you scold him like a concerned parent.
"You think you’re invincible, don’t you? Sit down, Riven." He doesn’t argue. He just stares at you with that unreadable expression and lets you work, the tension in his shoulders easing as your hands mend him.
Sometimes he mutters under his breath when you’re too focused: "Your hands don’t shake anymore. You’ve gotten good at this."
🔧Riven can be sarcastic, sometimes even darkly humorous. He throws comments your way that only someone who trusts you would dare say.
"So what’s the verdict today, Doc? Am I still pretty, or did you make me uglier?"
"You’ve always been pretty, Riven. Just sit still before I lose my grip."
🔧You’ve learned to give it back to him. He actually smirks when you push back because it reminds him he’s not just a weapon to you.
"Riven, I swear if you tear that neural wire again—"
"Relax, Doc. I’ll give you something to fix tomorrow. Wouldn’t want you to get bored."
🔧Some nights, when you’re both too exhausted to pretend otherwise, you sit in the dim light of the lab. Riven leans back against a wall or your workbench, his voice softer than usual.
"Do you ever wonder what’s next, after all this?"
"After defeating the [enemy]? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll open a coffee shop."
"…I don’t drink coffee, Doc."
"Then you’re not invited." Moments like these remind him he’s still allowed to dream, even if he doesn’t believe he’ll live long enough to see it.
🔧One day, you started playing music while working, and to your shock, Riven quietly remarked:
"I remember this song." He didn’t elaborate, but from then on, music became a constant in your lab. It’s your way of reminding him there’s still beauty in the world.
🔧If you’re ever injured, Riven loses his composure. He doesn’t rage or panic—he focuses, taking you somewhere safe and patching you up with an efficiency that mirrors your own care for him. He doesn’t yell, but his voice is strained.
"You’re the one who’s supposed to keep me in one piece, not the other way around." He's a worrywart.
🔧When faced with an impossible situation—when enemy’s forces close in and the odds are bleak—you and Riven have a way of grounding each other.
"You don’t have to stay with me for this, Riven."
"And leave you to screw it all up? Not happening, Doc. We’re finishing this together."
🔧Riven may be a weapon, but to you, he’s so much more. You remind him of his humanity, even when he feels like there’s nothing left. In return, he’s your shield—the one constant in your dangerous life.
He calls you “Doc” or “the genius.” On rare, quiet occasions, he says your name.
You see him not as a machine, but as a man trying to piece himself back together—much like you’ve rebuilt his body.
At the heart of it all, you’re each other’s anchor. Riven fights because you gave him purpose. You fight because he gave you someone worth believing in.
🔧Riven would never admit it out loud, but you are the first person who’s ever seen him as something other than a weapon. And for that, he’ll burn the entire world down if it means keeping you safe.
"You fixed me once, Doc. But you’re the only reason I haven’t fallen apart again." In this fallen world, you made him- your anchor.
