"Hi, teddy!"
It rings in his ears like church bells. Then Eddie sees you and you're drenched in golden sunlight even though it's afternoon and the school halls provide no source of natural light. So maybe you're just beautiful. A vision in go-go boots.
Totally not his type, though.
"Hey," Eddie sighs, exhuasted from the hour and a half English lecture he just suffered. Not to mention, he was already exhuasted from the fact that he barely slept the night before. Which was maybe, possibly, perhaps caused by his overthinking about that nice shade of lipstick you always wear.
"How was Lit?"
"Shit."
You giggle, "that rhymed!" His heart skips a beat.
You're side by side down the halls—you always walk to lunch together—and, like clockwork, you tease him about trying to hold your hand when his ringed fingers brush your wrist. Of course, he would. In a heartbeat, he'd have his fingers clasped with yours like that's what they are molded for. But people would stare, and that's more of a hassle than he’d prefer.
Don't get him wrong, he doesn't actually give a shit about people staring at him, he just doesn't want to give anyone anymore reasons to stare at you. In disgust. Or loathing. With whatever judgements they'd make. Names they'd call you. He's been through the ringer, he'd never drag you along with him.
You're chattering about the state of your new, pink jellies when Eddie catches someone throwing you an off glance. He tries not to think too much of it, and he's not like jealous or anything, but every snicker and whisper sets him off. You're bubbly and kind and it's not fair people look at you different when you're with him.
"You ever notice how people look at us?"
You tilt your head at him as you round the corner of the cafeteria doors.
"You mean like how Dustin makes funny faces when I compliment your hair?"
"No, I mean like that," he huffs, pointing right at the judgemental stares of Melissa and Nicole, who promptly turn away with a gasp. He shakes his head. "And I like when you compliment my hair."
"Well, I like your hair." You smile at him as he pulls out a chair for you. You're the first ones to the table.
"Thank you, bug." Eddie ducks into his own seat, tapping his heavy fingers against the tabletop. "Off topic. I'm saying, you never notice people look at us... funny?"
The metal clasps of your limited edition Disco Fever lunchbox clack against the side as you unfold the lid. Your face contorts, considering the scenarios you've devised in your head if anyone was ever rude to Eddie in front of you. Let's just say your self-defense knowledge would come in handy.
"I guess I notice sometimes, but I just don't care. I like you lots more than I like them," you say, shrugging it off, "And I know how to fight."
His heart swells, face rosy, ears hot as an oven. Of course, you'd say that. You always know what to say.
Too bad you're not his type.
Dustin plops down in the seat across from you, nearly gagging at the way Eddie ogles at you.
"Would you get a fuckin' room already—!"
"Language," you both holler.
"Jinx!" you chirp. "You owe me a soda."
"I'll get you a soda, bug," Eddie hums. Dustin considers stocking his backpack with those little bags they give you on airplanes just in case.
...
"Weird Science or The Woman in Red?"
You're perched on the floor of his living room, wearing silk shorts and a cami. You weigh both tapes in your manicured hands like it'll tell you anything about the quality of the films inside.
"Somethin' to say about Kelly LeBrock, bug?"
"Steve suggested them! And he gave me a discount, so I couldn't just say no," you say with such a dazzling smile on your face, he thinks you're the nicest girl he's ever met. Or, at least, the nicest he's ever seen, no contest.
Just, not his type.
"Go figure," he says, "Weird Science."
"'Cause of the mutant bikers?" You beam up at him where he sits on the couch.
"'Cause of the mutant bikers."
It makes you giggle, which makes him smile like an idiot.
Then Hellfire pours onto Eddie's front porch bearing gifts of humongous chip bags and a six pack of cheap beer. He jumps a little at the doorbell, and you spring up to open the floodgates for the rowdy group of boys. They greet you excitedly and spread themselves across the rest of the couch, an armchair, and the floor.
Dustin tosses you a bag of pop rocks, and you blow a kiss in thanks, promising to bring him by the arcade next week. Eddie feels so far from you, even though your shoulders are pressed between his knees. But he can't see you or talk to you, your attention is divided, and he can't help but feel a little needy. You smack Dustin's hand when he reaches for a beer, and he whines about Mike sneaking one.
"What movie did the love birds choose?" Gareth asks. Eddie takes out a baggie of weed.
"Weird Science!" you coo, slotting the tape into the VCR. Gareth celebrates, sloshing his beer can against the coffee table as the rest of the boys high five and howl. You roll your eyes affectionately.
You laugh, smacking Jeff on the arm. “Oh, you’re all horny perverts.”
Gareth salutes, “At your service!” Which earns him a playful flick upside the head. The opening credits roll, and you stand triumphantly.
“I have to pee, but you guys can let it roll while I’m gone!” you chirp, skipping off down the hall of the mobile home.
As soon as you’re out of ear shot, Dustin whips around to scowl at Eddie who exhales a slow puff from the neon pink bong you gifted him last year. He passes it to Gareth and crosses his arms over his chest.
“I can’t tell what’s worse,” Dustin huffs, “The fact that you’re so oblivious or the fact that she is, too.”
Eddie squints. “What?”
Dustin deadpans.
“Dude, even I can tell you two like each other,” Mike chimes in, “Will thought you were dating from two thousand miles away. Over the phone.”
“You guys are fucking high. We are not dating,” Eddie says.
Mike shrugs. “You should be.”
“Okay, twerp, I’m not taking romantic advice from someone in a long distance relationship.”
“He’s right,” Dustin barks.
“That means you, too, twerp. Besides. Not my type.” Eddie sighs and slumps into the cushions, reaching his arms above his head.
“Yeah, right,” Lucas says, “If she’s not your type, then who is?”
“I don’t know, but she’s not.”
Gareth rolls his eyes. “Sounds like a lame excuse for your cowardice.” Eddie’s jaw drops, and he grabs for his bong.
“You did not just say that to me.”
“I meant it.”
You bumble back into the room, and the conversation screeches to a halt, Gareth whipping back towards the screen with Eddie’s eyes still burning holes in the back of his head.
“What did I miss?”
“Nothing,” they grumble.
Eddie smiles when you plop down next to him on the creaky couch. He can’t focus on the movie with the stray glances he’s catching from the younger boys and the soft looks you offer every so often. Maybe he is gutless. Because when he thinks about you, he’s floored. Then—knee jerk—he has to justify his racing heart with the fact that he could never be into you. But he is. You’re beautiful and funny and sweet to him. You are his type.
Not halfway into the film, Dustin whines, “I’m bored. Can we play a game? Like spin the bottle or kiss marry kill or something?”
“First of all,” Eddie says, “there’s only one chick here, we’re not playing spin the bottle. Second, are you five years old?”
You scoff and pat Eddie on the thigh. “Hey! I’m with Dustin. Truth or dare?”
“Works for me,” Jeff interjects. Eddie glares at him, grabbing his bong from the table. “Truth or dare, Eddie.”
He exhales a puff of smoke, shaking his head.
“Truth”—The boys’ heads turn, wicked smiles on their faces like predators eyeing him up—“Fuck, dare.”
Jeff cocks a brow.
“I don’t like this game,” Eddie says.
“Do you have a crush on anyone?”
“I said dare.”
Jeff grins. “I dare you to tell me if you have a crush on anyone.”
Dustin, Lucas, and Mike chuckle.
“Fuck you all. Yeah, fine, I do. Next,” Eddie grumbles.
“It’s your turn, teddy,” you coo.
“Right. Dustin, truth or dare.”
“Easy. Truth,” he says.
“Is it fun being a little shit?”
You shove his side. “Eddie!”
“Why, yes. Yes, it is.”
“Great,” Eddie huffs.
“Awesome.” Dustin glares at him.
The game continues just like that, a vicious cycle of sarcasm and glares. It’s a little more lighthearted when Lucas asks you if you have a special skill. Without responding, you ask for a deck of cards and stand in front of the screen.
“You boys like magic?”
A few nod, the rest too stunned to speak as you show them a card, the queen of diamonds, and shuffle the deck a few times. You pull a card from the deck, and the boys lean in, anticipating the red queen. You spin the card, and they groan when you reveal the eight of clubs.
“That’s not our card, bug,” Eddie says. He expects you to be disappointed, but you grin and set the deck on the table.
“I know.” Their eyes widen when you reach into the top of your shorts, a card pinched between your fingers. The queen of diamonds. “This is.”
You toss the card, and the boys grab for it. Eddie gulps and shifts in his seat, couch squealing beneath him. Lucas pelts the hard-won card at Eddie, and you curtsy before heading back to your seat.
Just as the game gets a little tired, Dustin shoots his hand into the air. “My turn!”
“Okay, but this is the last one—”
Dustin shouts your name.
“Yes?”
“Truth or dare?”
You pretend to contemplate before chirping, “Dare!”
Eddie leans his head back, lulling to the side to watch you smile at Dustin. You catch Eddie staring and stick your tongue out at him. He winks.
“I dare you… to kiss the person on your right.”
“Geez, how long did it take you to come up with that one,” Eddie mumbles. But you look to your right, and Eddie looks kind of uninterested, glazed over and staring at the ceiling.
“That doesn’t seem very consensual,” you say, brows knitted just as Eddie lifts his head. Dustin glares expectantly at Eddie who slowly sits up and turns his head, smirking at you.
“You can kiss me, bug. So long as you promise not to bite.”
Eddie’s relieved when you giggle and set your hand on his knee.
“If you say so!” You lean closer, and he blushes at the new proximity. Despite his nerves, he just can’t look away, eyes locked with yours. You huff when it feels like he’s staring straight into your soul. But you’re smiling so sweetly, even with all the rascals chanting ‘do it!’.
You shift your weight and hold onto his shoulder as he slips his arm around your waist so you don’t teeter off the couch. He nods, tip of his nose just brushing yours. You press your lips to his quickly, and he can sense your nerves when you pull away and look down.
Everyone cheers.
You look into his eyes again, and your face relaxes, the heat not so unbearable when you see his smile. You duck to kiss him again, his arm tighter on your waist. He tries not to smile, but you hum softly and, suddenly, he’s a puddle in your fingers.
You pull away when someone whistles, your ears rushing with blood as you drop your feet to the floor and look away, face burning.
Eddie clears his throat. “Alright, you pervs got what you wanted. Can we finish this damn movie already?”
“It’s kinda late,” you hum, “I don’t wanna be driving too close to the witching hour.”
“Wait, what?” Gareth says, watching you stand and shuffle into your slippers by the door.
“Sorry, guys. Just… superstititous.” They wouldn’t have believe you if you hadn’t said it with a genuine smile on your face. Eddie hops up from his seat and follows you.
“I’ll walk you out, bug.”
“Ooh,” Dustin teases. Jeff slaps a hand over his mouth, and Dustin mumbles an expletive against it.
Your little, red coupe is sidled right up next to his van. He always keeps the spot closer to the door open for you. His hands are tucked into the pockets of his jacket, your arms crossed over your chest to keep out the cold. He winces.
“You sure you don’t wanna stay? I can take the floor,” Eddie says, shucking his jacket and wrapping it over your shoulders. You smile.
“Such a gentleman.”
He rolls his eyes.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, teddy,” you whisper, craning your neck to kiss his cheek. Your heart-shaped keychain jangles against the car door as you slot the silver key into the lock. When you get the door open and glance at him, he’s stone faced where he leans against the back window.
“Wait,” he huffs.
“Yeah?”
Eddie can feel himself flailing, hands shaky at his sides when you look at him. He can’t tell if it’s because of the cold or his nerves or how worried you look or the fact that this could be his only chance. Don’t be a coward. He expects you to get tired of it. Eventually, you’ll have to let go, but right now, you stand there and wait for him. Oh.
“Sorry, bug. I’m pretty high right now.”
“I don’t mind.” You shrug when he rubs the back of his neck and chuckles softly. “You okay?”
He shakes his head. “You’re so sweet. And you’re so nice to me. God, you’re so pretty.”
“Thank you, Eddie,” you coo, standing close enough to feel the warmth radiate from his chest. He nods slowly, glancing down at your lips.
“Yeah.”
You thumb over the leftover slip of paper in the pocket of his jacket. And you smile, remembering when you passed him that note in chem last thursday.
Eddie sucks in a breath, sighing, “You make me so nervous.” You blink hard, and he’s seering hot under the warm light filtering through the trailer windows. “And you’re so fascinating.”
“Fascinating?!”
“Yeah,” he whispers.
“That’s a new one. ‘S that a good thing?” you say, head tilted watching him push his fingers through his hair.
“Yeah, it’s a good thing. Fascinating is good. To me.” You swear his eyes twinkle a little when he looks at you.
“Well,” you nod, “Thank you.”
“Yeah.” And he can’t stop himself from taking selfish glimpses at your mouth. He feels so stupid for how long he denied his genuine attraction to you. His crush on you. You’d laugh if you knew what went on in his head. “I liked kissing you.”
You take a deep breath, and he steels himself for rejection. He thinks, why should you want anything to do with him after he’s acted so indifferent towards you all this time.
“I liked kissing you, too, teddy.” Holy fuck.
He grins. “You’re my type.” At first, you think he’s joking, but even a blind man could tell Eddie was dead serious. “Textbook description of it, bug. You’re my type.”
You look into his eyes again, trying to gauge if he’s fucking with you. He has to know that you’ve liked him for years. He has to. It’s not like the boys have been subtle about it.
“I… am flattered,” you coo, “Where’s all this coming from?”
“Just. From me. You know? It’s always been there. Had a crush on you forever, just had to tell you now.”
You nod, biting back a grin and shuffling a little closer. He’s absolutely buzzing when you curl your fingers into his bicep.
“Can I kiss you?” His head is spinning when you nod and press up against him. He’s sure you can feel his heart pounding. Especially when you press your delicate palm right to it. His hand fits gently against your hip.
Now, it’s his turn to kiss you. His lips are so soft against yours, tender like he’s nervous you’ll shatter. You giggle and reach for the back of his neck, your mouths falling open against each other in a fit of excitement and heat. He tugs you closer when your tongue slips into his mouth; he doesn’t mean to, but he feels himself smile and spread his hand across your lower back.
Eddie pulls away, eyes flicking wildly across your face just before he pecks your mouth again.
“Bug?”
You nod, eyes refusing to open as he kisses your cheek.
“Be my girlfriend?”
“Yes, teddy, I will!”
You tug him down by the collar to kiss him ferocious, his cheeks instinctively hot with your baby pink fingernails gentle on his neck. You can hear the cheers and high-fives from inside the house, exclamations of ‘finally!’ and ‘i knew it’.
Then Dustin hollers, “Fuck yeah!”
And you both shout, “Language!” just before falling into each other in a fit of giggles.

Flufftober, October 6th
Mikaelson little sister reader x Elijah Mikaelson x Klaus Mikaelson
Warnings: mention of blood
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You're sitting in Elijah's lap, playing with two Chelsea dolls you got some years ago, while he's on the phone with someone. It's quiet except for the sound of your big brother's voice every now and then.
It's all peaceful until Kol comes crashing into the room and sits on the ground in front of you. You tilt your head and hand him one of the dolls. "Play!" You tell him.
Kol nods and plays with you, making a horrible high-pitched voice for the doll which makes you laugh, but Elijah cringes and hopes he stops soon.
It's been ten minutes, "What the bloody hell is that horrible sound?" Klaus walks in, he clearly just got back from wherever he was. Most likely Cami, but he never discloses that information, knowing you've openly shown your dislike for her.
"Our brother's wonderful voice for a doll" Elijah sighs, putting his phone down.
"Hey! My voice is amazing!" Kol exclaims, hearing the insult and sarcasticness in Elijah's answer. "Yeah!" You cross your arms like Kol is.
"See! Y/n knows what she's talking about" Kol says as Klaus picks you up out of Elijah's lap and places you on his hip. You wrap your tiny arms around his neck and relax your head against his shoulder.
"Y/n is also two, I think you need a better defense" Klaus raises an eyebrow. "Technically she's over a thousand like all of us... I'll shut up" Kol says, seeing the looks he's getting from the big brothers.
Kol, having both dolls in his hand, places them down on the coffee table before leaving the room. He plans to go into town and create some havoc that all of his siblings (besides from you) will have a fuss about, but it'll be fun.
Later in the week, there's a party being thrown in the abboiter. It's all vampires and humans for them to feed on. Some to kill and some to compel away.
"Well, this seems to be quite the turn out" Rebekah walks over to you and Klaus, who's carrying you tightly in his arms. "Indeed it is, sister" Klaus smirks.
"Look at you all dressed up" Rebekah coos, running a hand through your hair. "I did all by my'elf" you say excitedly. You're wearing a long sleeve dark purple dress that flows out under the bodice, and matching purple glittery jelly shoes that are put on the wrong feet. But Rebekah didn't want to tell you that and make you feel bad or make you upset at yourself. You also have a couple bead bracelets on your wrists and a heart necklace that Elijah gave you that you never take off. Your daylight ring is on your right pointer finger as well.
"Well good job, beautiful girl" Rebekah kisses your forehead before noticing Cami making her way over, and leaves to go back into the crowd.
"Hey Klaus," Cami smiles. "Camille, You look beautiful" Klaus kisses her. "Mmm, thank you" she says.
You make a disgusted facial expression before facing back the other way and laying your head back on your big brother's chest. You wonder how thus girl seems to be everywhere and why she always comes up to you and your big brother. Why don't they just make her go away like other woman they have before. You don't know what happens to them, but you assume it's fine.
Your siblings make sure you're kept out of all the killing and death during your existence.
As they keep talking, you try to ignore them to the best of your abilities. How much longer, you keep thinking. You try looking for Elijah, so your other big brothers can take you away from them, but no luck. You can't seem to find him anywhere from where you're placed on Klaus' hip.
As soon as you hear her chuckle at something Klaus said, your 2 year old self gets fed up. So, you take off one of your bracelets and throw it as hard as you can at Cami's face.
Now you may be biologically two, but you're still an original vampire, and with that comes a lot of strength. The bracelet made a great slash in her pale cheek, now blood running down her face.
Klaus quickly vamps into his room with Cami and you still in his hold. He sets you down on his bed as he bites into his wrist and offers it to Cami.
As she drinks blood from his wrist, Elijah comes into the room, noticing Klaus vamping out of the courtyard with the both of you.
"What happened?" Elijah asks. You stay quiet, as you sit crisscross apple sauce on the bed, happy that Elijah's here, and even though Cami is now healed, you did something for her to stop talking. You really don't like her.
"Um, I'm fine, though I think it's time for me to go" She sighs, glancing at you before walking out of the room to go back to her apartment.
"What happened was someone decided to get a bit violent" Klaus informs him, facing you. Elijah follows his gaze, landing on your face. You have a slight smile on your face. Yay! you made Cami leave.
"Why did you hurt Camille, y/n?" Elijah walks over and crouches in front of you so you're face to face.
"Bad Cami! Don' li'e her" answer front forwardly. Elijah raises his eyebrows. It's known you're not a fan of the woman, but you've never actually said it out loud up until now.
Klaus chuckles. Elijah turns his line of sight to him, "What do you have to snicker about?"
"Oh, just the thought of y/n is slowly turning into a mini version of me" Klaus smiles and holds a thumbs up at you. You have a big grin on your face. "Niklaus, do not encourage this behavior" Elijah sighs. It's going to be a long life if this is going to keep happening regularly.
A new rule is set in place to make sure that you're never in the same room with Cami with less than one of your siblings. And that one day they can hopefully get you to like Cami and not loathe her.
Syd and Carmy communication 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know how I wrote endlessly about the table scene. Well, its the same thing with this scene in 3x09.
I recall some critiques about the table scene. It was that we couldn't see Carmy and Sydney's faces clearly. However, the camera work was meticulous, with a very smooth close-up shot as we got closer to Sydney and Camy without realizing it. Perfection!
But for this scene when Carmy and Syd have a chance to talk- they take on showing Carmy and Sydney closely. So we the audience could pay attention. In episode 3 of season 3, Marcus mentions unspoken communication during his mother's eulogy. The camera pointedly shows Carmy and Syd, and throughout the season, we see them subtly noticing each other. Sydney notices that Carmy writes in the margin, and Carmy notices that Sydney has a Coca-Cola every shift. Carmy also notices that Sydney is tired. There are cues that they see each other but are not saying what needs to be said.
But I love the scene from 3x09 because it portrays unspoken communication and shows how frustrating it can be. Carmy has been contemplating what he wants to say for some time. He avoids eye contact as he gathers his thoughts, with a hint of sadness present.
We're anticipating a real talk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He slows down, and Syd is holding on, just like us, as he grows silent. The close ups! Sydney furrowing her brows and confused as ever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Carmy was so fucking depressing this season.
Anyway he looks like what he wants to say is so heavy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He settles on "I don't want it to be so hard to keep up with me", instead of revealing his thoughts with Sydney. Ugh!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most hurtful part of this interaction is seeing Sydney looking so open and hopeful, expecting to have a conversation about their relationship. It's as if all the issues of the past month and the job offer from Chef Shapiro would disappear if Carmy just talks to her and they work on their relationship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Carmy becomes quiet, withdraws, and looks up at Sydney. He gives a tiny nod as if telling her, "That's all I can do for now. You understand, right? Let's save it for later." It's like he's asking for understanding. (Sidebar: I'm not saying I'm agreeing or feeling for him, but that's what it seems like for now.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's why Syd says, "Got it. Great," because they do pay attention to each other. There's an unspoken connection, and although we didn't see it much this season, it was there.
When she looks down, she feels Carmy still staring.
Tumblr media
Can't believe I'm feeling for this man! He just looks so sad that he can't talk about all that he wants to tell her right now. Then he looks away and withdraws completely.
But I'm also really frustrated for Sydney! Say what you need to say, Carmy. To be fair, she pushes her own talk to Carmy for later. This scene was so frustrating, but I loved the acting and cinematography - the close shots that make us pay attention to their expressions. But it's a different close-up from the ones with Claire. This is subtle and is more about focusing on Sydney and Carmy.
Tumblr media
She gives it one more try before she leaves she turns to him- still hoping- still waiting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But they settle for saying goodnight, and Carmy mentally disappears and gets fixated on his work.
Carmy misses his chance, and he's running out of time with Sydney.
I hope it's not too late.
Hi, Mer! It's Cami again to you Halloween event hehe
4. abandoned hospital + truth or dare + my man Kid
Gn or fem reader, sfw or nsfw, whichever you think is best *wink, wink*
Thanks so much, ily ♡
Girrrl, I'm so happy you sent something else in for the event!! I hope you like what I came up with for your man 🤭
Many of your adventures alongside your captain led you down paths that weren’t for the faint of heart. Full of thorned paths, each twist and turn left new marks on your body and soul, branding you as his. You had a fire in you that was hard to extinguish, which was what made it that much more enticing to push your limits.
CW: NSFW, MDNI, gn!reader, reader is a pirate, some cursing, bondage (strapped down), fingering
Just a game (Kid)
“Isn’t there anywhere else this map could be instead of in this shithole?”
You stared at the fiery redhead in front of you huffing and puffing that this legendary treasure was becoming more trouble than it was worth. “You’re the one who suggested checking this place out.” Despite your cool tone, there was no mistaking the bite that came with it.
“I know that!” He snarled.
“Besides, we’ve already checked the rest of the area where the townsfolk said it could be. If it’s going to be anywhere, then it should show up here.”
“Well, something tells me that they were just trying to get rid of us. Let’s pay them a visit on our way out if this damn thing isn’t here.”
You nodded in agreement from your own annoyance at being so sidetracked. The burly man stomped down the barren halls. Each step seared into the cement floors as he looked for a reason to set that town ablaze. While you followed behind him, being sure to thoroughly check each room after he grazed past, you maintained a little bit of a distance.
Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and a wicked grin spread on his face. “Oi! Looks like I found a place to blow off some steam.” He turned towards you before you had a chance to see what the fuss was about. “Truth or dare?”
The question, albeit random, was not unlike Kid. Such a daredevil only allowed those similar to him in his inner circle. “Dare.” The answer flowed past and kissed his ear.
He straightened his stance but kept his eyes lowered, peering down at you from his full height. “Get on that table.”
A chill ran down your spine. Approaching the room he was standing in front of, dingy walls with a stained mattress in the center greeted you. The straps had been worn down from overuse and were dangling between the metal bars.
“A throne fit for royalty.” His breath was hot against your ear. He nudged you forward, not wanting to waste time getting to the fun part. As you laid down, he promptly revoked your mobility. A wince appeared on your face as the discomfort pressed deep into your flesh.
“Okay,” you panted softly. “Truth or dare.”
His eyes darkened with mischief. “Dare.”
“Take off my pants.”
A shaky smile spread across his face. Without hesitation, he tugged your bottoms down to your ankles. Seeing that wild and feral need swirling in his eyes had your own darkness prickling at your cheeks.
“Truth,” you answered his question with a teasing smirk.
At first he scoffed at you. A seemingly boring answer to derail your fun that then led to a saucy question. “How long have you been wanting this?”
Your smirk fell slightly for a moment before turning into a full grin that could put the devil himself to shame. “Since seeing your wanted poster. What luck I had when you recruited me.”
Those words rattled his self-restraint. A low growl of satisfaction trailed past your ear as he leaned down. “Play nice and I’ll give you what you’ve been waiting for.” He gripped your arms, tightly pinning you roughly against the mattress. The look in his eyes told you not to tease him anymore.
“Let me touch you.”
You nodded eagerly. When he began running his hand up your bare thigh, the response he got from you softened his predatory look. It shifted into one in slight awe of the beauty strapped underneath him. Such alluring sounds made his eyes roll back, when reaching your sweet spot left you squirming for him. Firmly placing his other hand at the top, his grip shook the metal frame; the pent-up lust was desperate to be set free.
Moving his fingers in and out, deeper and faster had you writhing and begging for him in no time. “Fuck you look good like that, all strung out on just my fingers.” His cocky smirk was twitching at the corner, each fiber of his restraint being consumed the longer you gasped and arched your body for him.
“Make me cum.” Your euphoric soaked voice let the command echo in his ears. That wild look returned to his eyes as he pumped his fingers roughly into you with a newfound passion. He kept his gaze on you. The way your legs trembled and voice grew hoarse was sending shockwaves of pleasure coursing through his body.
“Oh, I’ll make you cum alright. Make you forget your name from just my fingers.” Each word dripped with a dangerous fervor. His groans rumbled in his chest the closer you got to the sweet edge of ecstasy. Begs of “Don’t stop!” gave him a high of his own.
As you gasped and tore at the dirty mattress, your body convulsed as he violently shoved you off of the cliff which kept you from seeing heaven. The lingering rush of pure bliss had your wrecked body spasming on his hand.
“You were nearly good enough to make me forget all about that town. What a shit day they’re about to have.” His booming laugh surrounded you, while you were still floating down from cloud nine. When he removed the straps, he expected you to follow right behind him. “Consider this next part foreplay to the main event!”
Both Chris and Dani had been at the mall for the past two hours shopping, eating junk food, and just walking around. At the moment they were shopping again and Dani was trying on a dress but she had been taking sometime.
"Dani you goo in there?" Chris knock's on the dressing room door.
"No, I'm struggling and I'm about to scream." She huffs popping her neck tilting her head side to side as she looks at herself in the mirror.
"How hard is it to put on a dress?" He laughs so she opens the door giving him a look, "Do you need my assistances?" He asks with a smile.
"Get your ass in here." She growls so he laughs joining her.
"How can I help you?"
She turns around so her back will face him, "I've been trying for 10 minutes to pull this damn zipper up. I have bent my arm at every angle to try to get the damn zipper, but it's no use."
"Why didn't you ask for help earlier?" He takes the zipper pulling it all the way up for her then hooks the little hook as well for her.
"I was determined but I failed." She turns back around to face him, "Obviously, and thank you." She looks at herself in the mirror, "What do you think?"
"Huh..." He studies the dress it was a short Rhinestone Ruched Chain Cami Dress, "I would prefer it in red."
Dani tosses her head back giggling, "I meant does it look cute? In a few weeks the company is having a party and I need a dress."
"Yeah, but I still would choose the red one."
"Well, the theme color is silver so I can't pick the red one." She lets him know, "Also I'm not getting the dress to wear for you so why would I pick the red one?" She tries not to smile but fails.
Chris crosses his arms, "Huh, have fun unzipping the dress alone." He reaches for the door so she stops him.
"No, no, no, I'm sorry."
"I don't know, that's not good enough." He shakes his head at her.
"Come on, Chris..." She huffs.
"Say I'm the best looking guy you know." He taps the tip of her nose.
"Chris Sturniolo, you're the best looking guy I know." She smiles then turns her back to face him, "Now please?"
Chris laughs unzipping it for her, "And yes it's cute for the party. You look great in it." He leaves her to go look for the red version of the dress to buy for her but he wasn't gonna let her know yet.
After a bit more shopping the two decided to go eat as they stood outside it was getting chill with the sun going down. Silently removing his own jacket, Chris wraps it around her shoulders, "You're shriving like a chihuahua." He laughs at her.
"What about you?"
"I'm used to super cold weather so don't worry about me." He stepped behind her so the natural heat coming from his body could push towards her.
"Who knew you could be a gentleman?"
"Please, Dani. I'm a mama's boy of course I'm a gentleman." He wraps his arms over her shoulders, fully pressing his chest to her back rocking them side to side as they wait in line to get in and eat.
"Oh, look who it is?" They both turn their heads to see Hallie with her new boyfriend, who was a step up from Tanner.
"Oh great..." Dani leans her head back on Chris.
"Thought all of you guys were just friends?"
"We are." Chris tells her, "There's nothing wrong with friendly cuddles as we wait in line." He adds.
"Oh so her and Matt are the ones with a thing then?"
"No, no one has a thing with anyone." Chris lets go of Dani to take her hand into his, "Let's just get take out so Matt and Nick can eat too." He leads them off.
They stop by to pick up pizza to take home for everyone to eat and by the time they got home, Nick went off on the two for never checking in while they were out all day.
"Oh hush and get a slice of pizza." Dani puts the box on the table as Chris puts their bags in each room.
"Did you guys have fun?" Matt asks getting his plate.
"Yeah, until we saw Hallie at a restaurant we were gonna eat at. I was cold so Chris gave me his jacket and wrapped his arms around me to give me warmth because to him I was shaking like a chihuahua. So when she saw us she went on about me having a thing with you two." Dani gets a drink out of the fridge.
"You don't have a thing with either of us."
"Exactly, but not to her." Dani's eyes start to water.
That shit really bugged her and earlier Dani was all big talk. All the stuff people say online does get to her but tries not to show it. It was all just a tough act because as soon as she was alone she would cry abut it.
Matt walks up behind her leaning down to rest his head on her shoulder as he wraps his arms around her, "It's okay to let it all out. No one here is going to judge you." He words make her start to cry so she turns around to hide her face into his chest so he rubs her back as he holds her close to him.
As Chris walks into the kitchen he was confused as he sees Matt comforting Dani. When Nick comes back down from getting his phone he sees the two ass well. Nick doesn't wait a second walking over to join the hug to comfort her as well. Both look over at Chris so he joins as well.
"See we're all here for you." Matt tells her.
In the middle of the night, Dani laid in bed tossing and turning thinking about all the shit online and how she feels and how she feels stupid crying in front of the three.
Looking over at the time it was 2:33am and the odds of Matt being awake was a 50/50 chance but she was gonna take it.
At Matt's door she lightly knocks on it before peaking in to see Matt on his phone looking over at the door, "What's wrong?" He sits up getting worried since it was super late.
"Nothing." She steps into his room shutting the door behind her, "I know it way late but I wanted to thank you." She stands there awkwardly.
"For earlier? You don't need to thank me."
"I might not need to but I want to. So, umm, thank you. I'm gonna go now. Night." She turns to open the door but he jumps out of bed to stop her.
"Why did you want to thank me?" He grabs her wrist stopping her from opening the door.
"Oh, I'm just not used to what you did and said. That's why I wanted to thank you." She explains as she lets go of her wrist. "Night." She leaves his room going back to hers.
As she gets in her bed turning off her lamp and getting comfortable, Matt enters her room sitting in the other side of the bed turning on the other lamp, "What do you mean you're not used to what I did and said?"
Dani sits up looking at him sighing, "Exactly what I said, I'm not used to it."
"What? Colby's never done that? Told you it's okay to cry and let it all out about what you go through?" He asks shocked.
Dani looks down at her hands, "No," She glances over at him, "Because I never show it affects me and he believes that."
Matt was speechless, "I haven't even known you for a whole month yet and I could tell it does. How does your own brother not see it?"
Dani stays quiet so Matt just looks at her waiting for a response but she never gives one, "I'm really tired, Matt." She lays down hoping he would just leave her room.
Except he doesn't do that. He turns off the lamp getting in bed next to her pulling her back into his chest to comfort her causing her to cry.
You’ve joined to the Hunting Dogs one month ago, finished your first mission succesfully with Jouno and Tecchou that’s why the team thought, this must be celebrated with a party.
You was in your apartment at the HQ, getting ready for the night while listened your favourite music. It was a hot summer day so you picked a short black skirt with a black cami top as your outfit. You choose a black leather choker for accessory. Luckily the dresscode is not the hunting dog uniform this time. While putting on your eyeliner and dark red lipstick fantasied about what will wear the others.
You haven’t seen them in casual clothes except Tecchou. You had to bring up to his apartment a letter from Fukuchi at late night, he opened the door wearing only a grey boxer, probably you woke him up. Your cheeks turned red when you stared his muscles and abs instead of his eyes. He didn’t notice your reaction because he was sleepy.
You checked yourself in the mirror last time, sprayed yourself with parfume and headed to the office what was the party’s spot.
You walked next to the building where your office was, you already heard the loud music from inside. You opened the door and what you saw. Fukuchi singed into his bottle of beer:
- I’ve been searching for a man, all across Japan, just to find, to find my samurai! – while pointing with his other hand toward Tecchou who danced with his sword.
In the corner at the table Jouno with his head down covering his ears, said:
- Finally Y/n! Do something with these two! They are giving me headache!
- What’s wrong Jouno? – Fukuchi laughed.
- The loud music pain in my ass, I don’t need your false voice too! Anyway Y/n has arrived she is the reason why we are here. – Jouno answered with his head on the table.
Tecchou threw away his sword, opened his arms and hugged you tightly. He wears a dark grey shorts decorated with a lance on it, and a black singlet so you can see his well muscled arms. And feel them around you... On the top of his head was a lighting party glasses. You hugged him back.
- Wow Tecchou how much did you drink already?
- aonly one glass of whiskeycola with BBQ sauce. – Jouno answered to my question instead of Tecchou who looked devestating to him. You thought he should be drink more to acting like this.
- What do you want to drink Y/n? – Fukuchi asked you and turned lower the music.
- I would whsikeycola too but without BBQ thank you...
Your boss poured it for you while the rest of hunting dogs has arrived. Teruko wears a small glittered dark pink dress and Tachihara? He almost lost in his elegant suit, he’s a kid.
- I told, you will come to the party 10 years younger than you really – Teruko laughed on him.
- Don’t mess with me Teruko! I will be drunk very quickly with this body!
You chuckled on his situation. You was happy they gathered because of you, and of course they like to have fun too. Except Jouno who still sitting in the corner of the office. To be honest, you liked him from the beginning. He is smart and mysterious, you heard from the others he likes or just liked to torture people. Quiet, calm and serious, but it’s funny to see him arguing with Tecchou. He is blind, but sometimes he is better in fight thanks to his hightened senses what stimulated your mind. You walked toward to him.
- Can I sit down? – you asked. He wears an elegant peach xolored shirt and a dark brown pants.
- Of course you can. Besides I want to congratulation to you, for your first succed mission. – he kindly smiled to you.
- Thank you. What do you drink Jouno? – you asked and wanted to clink with him for the celebration.
- Coffee. My senses dulling under the effects of alcohol. Incidintally I handle with the booze well, just difficult to sense anything around me then. – he explained.
- Oh, I see. So you won’t clink with me? – you looked at him dissapointed – Just a glass of something? – Teruko appeared on his side with a bottle of whiskey and a glass, started to pour the alcohol in it.
- I hope this meets your needs Sir – she said and gave to him the glass of whsikey.
- What do you want? – the white haired man asked her suspiciously – You never act like this.
- I just never saw you drink. I’m curious how will it affect you. Maybe will you dance? – her eyes are sparkled as if it were her greatest desire.
- I won’t dance. I lose my sense of space because of the loud music...
- Then, we will dance instead of you! Come Y/n!
You felt bad about him. He doesn’t look like who likes to dance or being drunk. Just imagined yourself in his place. Your heartbeat changed, he could feel it.
- Don’t worry about me. I’m having a great time, go dance with the others, I won’t leave. – how he said his last word clinked his glass to yours. – Cheers darling!
And he drank what was in your glass like you did.
You went to the others, drank more and more. Danced together with the adult Tachihara after Teruko changed his real age back. You felt yourself a little fuzzy, knew your place, just was a little bit feisty. You had a long slim fitting dance with Tecchou who was behind you caresses your hips and gave soft kisses to your neck. You played with his locks. Jouno noticed your little play and walked toward to you.
- I think I’m going home. This was a great party but enough for me. Good night! – he said without emotions and went to the door. You separated from Tecchou and went after him.
- Wait Jouno! I wanted to go too, wait for me please, just say goodbye to everyone.
- I’ll wait outside. Hurry.
You went back to Tecchou, gave a kiss on to his cheek. He was kinda cute, didn’t wanted to do anything what you don’t want, just flirted like you with him. You said goodnight to everyone and left them, they turned up the music louder and continued to dance.
Jouno waited for you at the side of the building.
- You didn’t look like who want to leave.
- But I am. This was enough for me too. I doesn’t want to be too drunk before I do something stupid. Anyway, if you are the reason of the party, and can't pay attention for everyone that’s not fun. So, would you like to come home with me?
He was suprised what you said, couldn’t find the words, just nodded.
You entered in your apartment, took off your shoes and walked into your kitchen.
- Do you want to drink something? – you asked.
- Water please. – he said. You opened your fridge and took of a bottle of water and a sake. You him the water.
- One shot of sake? – you asked.
- I’m in.
You poured sake for the two of you. Jouno raised his glass to you.
- Thank you for the invitation. It’s very kind from you. – he drank a little bit of his booze – I’d bet Tecchou will stand here tonight. Or you in his bed. – you chuckled on this.
- No no no. I don’t want anything from Tecchou. I mean, I like him so much, he’s very cute and kind. His body is wow, his hair... I enjoyed his approach but...
- But? – Jouno cut you off, drank his sake down to the last drop and moved closer to you . – You like him, so what’s the problem?
He felt your fastened heartbeat. You was confused, couldn’t find the words, didn’t know the right answer. But you knew.
- I just don’t want him like that. – you answered a little bit more tetchier. He stepped more closer, you were within reach neither from each other now.
- Then who do you want like „that”? – another step forward you.
- No one. – you asked quickly.
- This is a despicable lie you’re telling dear. – he smiled devilishly, placed one of his hand under your chin, made you look at him. You flinched of his touch and nearness.
- You can’t lie to me do you know? When we were on that mission, I took you cover, you acted like now. You was flustered because of my touch... When I took of my cape and spread it on you because you were cold. You checked my build. – he chuckled – I offered to take off my top and give it to you, ensure that you warm up faster. I felt how your heartbeat changed. You were embarrassed by the thought of my half naked body. And tonight’s special production from you and Tecchou? Just wanted to make me jealous. You don’t want anything from him... but from me?  I’m standing here in your apartment not him, this isn’t an accident. Tell me if I’m wrong dear.
His smile is cocky, your lips are inches from his. You can’t say a single word. You are blusted. Your face is full red now, lost in your thoughts. Impossible to hide your feels before him. He didn’t hesitate to catch your lips. His mouth is soft, you can taste the sake on it. He played with yours then entered in. Wasn’t rough, but passionate how his tounge explored your mouth. He breaking off the kiss.
- This is what you wanted right? – he asked, you could feel his breath on your skin.
Your answer was to jumped on him, wrapped your legs around his waist. He held you under your tiny skirt, felt his big hands on your butt. You were in each others mouth, he carried you to your couch, lied you down. He crawled onto you, smoothed your hair away from your face, softly bit your cheek and whispered in your ear:
- You are already wet aren’t you? I smell it, may I taste it?
He turned you more and more, didn’t want to believe, Jouno Saigiku leaned over you. He placed small kisses to your skin while climbing down to your wet spot. One of his hand wandered up to squizze your breast, massaged it. You let out a quiet moan. He rolled up your skirt, kissed your skin around your pantie. Put his nose into your clothed pussy, smelled in it’s fragrance. He licked the fabric and then, like a predator who tasted the blood, with a sudden movement ripped off your pantie. He kissed in your juicy pussy rough, panted into it. He licked it from above to below. Jouno eated you out like no one ever. You runned your fingers through his white locks while moaned his name quietly, what he heard perfectly.
- You are so tasty. – whispered into your burning core.
Then he started to circling around your clit with the tip of his tongue.
- Ahh Jouno! – you moaned his name throwing back your head down from the couch.
- Cum in my mouth dear.
He spread your pussylips and sucked your clit softly, then rougher and rougher. You grabbed his hair, pushed his face more into it, screamed his name while your thighs acted on their own, squizzed his head. You came in his mouth, how he ordered.
- Good girl, how obdient. – he leaned up close to your face and gave you a passionate kiss. You could taste yourself, his face soaked from your juice - Now please tell me, where can I find your bedroom? – he placed your hand to his crotch – you have another mission here.
- First door after the kitchen... – you said shakily.
Jouno picked you up easily, carried you to your bedroom and lied you down to the soft bed. You sat up, so he could take off your top and unbrace your bra with one hand, then stopped on your neck, tightened a bit. Gave you a long kiss but now you can’t order to you. You started to unbutton his shirt and unzip his pants. He chuckled in your mouth on your movements, got up on his knees and took of his shirt and pants. You finally could see his muscles, abs and his erection under his boxer.
- Do you like the view? – he asked.
- So much... – while you answered his question crawled onto him, making him lay down to his back.
Now you are on him. Placed small kisses from his neck, through his collarbone, chest and abs until you reached down to his hard member. He flinched slightly at all your kisses, his skin is sensitive too. You pulled down his boxer to free his aching  cock. It is long and thin, with few vessel. You saw the precum bubbling out from his it. First licked his balls, went up through his lenght, then tasted his fluid. He let out a sigh and brushed your hair with his fingers. You took off your skirt, crawled over him and positioned yourself above his dick. Grabbed it gently and placed to your entrance, sat down slowly to his lenght. You moaned, waited for this feeling since you met this man above you.
- You are so tight baby, feels so good to my cock.
You slowly moved up and down on his hard member, he reached your boobs, massaged them and played with your nipples. You moaned, loved the touch of his hands. Bounced harder on him, placed your hands to his chest and abs, tried to find the balance. Your right hand moved up to his neck squizzed it while moaned his name. Suddenly he grabbed your throat tightly and pushed back into the bad, changed the roles.
- You... can’t... do that. – whispered in your ears.
A teardrop rolled down on your face, he licked it down and smiled devilishly to you.
- Are you crying already? I didn’t even touch you... You won’t able to walk tomorrow...
- Hahaha – you laughed – I like pain silly boy. I enjoy it better thank you think – smirked and licked his lower lip.
- Really? Do you know that my hobby is torturing people? I think we’re gonna get along.
He didn’t hesitate, pushed his cock balls deep in your wet pussy. You screamed but smiled at the same time. He still choked you when your hands came behind his back and hugged him tightly. Your sweaty bodies sticked together, you felt his muscular chest on your tits. He pumped deep in you then suddenly stopped. Jouno placed his hand on your tummy and pressed it down. He wanted to feel his hard cock from outside of you. You touched it yourself, he is so long, it bulging out from your lower tummy. You smiled to each other like two sick pervert and he continued moving faster and faster. He hit your G-spot, you fel another orgasm coming and clawed through his bare back make him to slow down. All of sudden he slapped your face.
- You fucking whore! To hurt me is not allowed to you! Turn around for me!
You was suprised cause the slap but you loved this sadistic side of Jouno. Made you more horny. You kneeled with your ass before him, pushed his cock deep in your pussy and moved faster than before. Pressed down your head into the pillows, with his other hand slapped your butt. You could hardly breath but smiled, enjoyed the situation.
- Jouno, Jouno, ahh fuck me harder, yes, I wanna cum, you are so deep!
You are out of your mind, Jouno suprised, he could able to know many things about you but not everything. You were already lying under him,  he moaned a little bit louder, you finally heard his voice like this. He pushed yourself so deep as he can, trembled of his orgasm and laid on you. You felt his full weight on you, waited a little while he catching his breath and moved next to him. You felt his sperm leaking out from your pussy. He lied to his back, pulls you onto his chest, gave a kiss to your head.
- I’ll kill Tecchou if he touches you again.
- So, did I make you jealous? – you chuckled.
- Maybe...
Talking about random crossovers has inspired me, so now we have this
Update: A second part!
What my gift is telling me
[Antonio, spoken]
Cami, what is going on? Mirabel is doing your job?
....And.... (Stares at a giant carnivorous plant)... What is this?
[Camilo]
These plants can't stop at all
(a palm grows up, breaking the road)
no, not the tiny bits
They grow around out of control
(tries to cut a vine)
and damaging the kids
(Camilo's leg gets tied by accident, we see one of the townkids burned by a nettle)
It's up to me to stop them,
'cause plainly you can see
It's got to be my destiny,
and its what my gift is telling me
[Isabela]
I'm in love with spreading rumors,
(leans her head, listening)
but the others have concerns
For I just spoke about some secret
(leans and gossiping about something)
Which made them all so strained
(people are rumbling displeased)
But it's still my destiny
And it's what my gift is telling me
[Dolores]
I don't care much for pickin' temple
and moving churches' such a hassle
(Drops a house while carrying it)
No matter what I do,
I cannot
Force these animals to move
(Argues with the donkey about how lazy they are)
I've got so many chores to do
(runs from one corner to another)
it's tiring being me
But it has to be my destiny,
As it's what my gift is telling me
[Luisa]
Lookie here at what I made,
(shows an embodiment on her skirt, knocks down the table)
I think that it's just a knot
I know it doesn't look like well-done
(the threads are untying)
It's some kind of a blot
Could y'all give me a hand here
and help me fix this mess?
(waves her arm to show the balls of thread all over the floor)
My destiny is not pretty,
but it's what my lack of a gift is telling me
[Mirabel]
I need to make them happy
(Turns into one of the kids and laughs awkwardly)
Shapeshifting with a grace
(hits her head, when uses a taller form)
But no matter what I try,
(people move, completely ignoring her)
it seems a bit of a disgrace
I have to entertain them,
(plays accordion)
it's there for all to see
It's got to be
[Mirabel and Camilo]
It's got to be
[Dolores]
It's got to be
[Luisa]
My destiny
[Mirabel]
My destiny
[Mirabel, Camilo, and Isabela]
And it's what my gift
[Dolores and Luisa]
It's what my (lack of a) gift
[All]
Yes, it's what our
Magic is telling me!
*Check the 'shadow's heart' tag if you haven't read chapter 1
[Chapter 9: Commitment]
Shadow rolled the long sleeves of his teal-green shirt up to his elbows as he left the bathroom, bright red eyes landing on the beautiful lady facing the window of their hotel room.
She primped curved locks and studied her makeup in the reflection, her figure poised in a navy-blue calf-length cami dress and black heels. And when he approached closely enough to catch her eye, Rouge turned around, immediately looking the hedgehog up and down.
"Mm, you look incredible," she said, eyes glimmering under cyan-painted lids. She stepped towards him and her gloved fingers slipped around the silver silk of his necktie, adjusting it and curling red lips into a sly smile. "Can't wait to tear this off you later."
She winked at him and the Ultimate Lifeform chuckled at her flirting, slipping his hand onto her lower back to escort her out. They visited the city again for a fine-dining experience, being seated in a room where roses and peonies bloomed in ornamented arrangements hanging on the dark walls.
Shadow stared at his date while she ordered wine for them to share, memorizing her elegant beauty before they were given menus to look over. He saw all the effort that went into her appearance – the attention to detail in making sure her lips shimmered just the right amount, that her dress fit her perfectly, that she hadn't a hair out of place.
Though wearing a tie was a good start, he held the belief that he couldn't compete with just how good she looked all the time. Glancing at the bat over his menu, Shadow was eager to make her his fiancée. It was killing him to wait.
When the waiter returned with their wine, Rouge seemed to perk up a little more excitedly than she already was. Charming as always, she commented, "Now it's officially a fancy dinner. And what great timing you have, coming back right when we've made up our minds."
The vested jaguar smiled humbly, opening the bottle for them. "Thank you. You're ready to order, then?"
"Yes," she said, turning her attention back to the list. "I'd like the red snapper with the side salad."
Shadow added, "And I'll have the lamb stew."
"Very good." He looked between the both of them. "Would you like any other drinks with that?"
"I think we're fine, right?" Rouge asked her boyfriend with a graceful hand gesture.
"Yes, the wine is enough."
The waiter nodded and smiled again. "I'll be back with your meals, then. Let me know if you need anything."
"Thank you, sweetie," the woman said casually, and grabbed the wine bottle to fill their glasses halfway while she spoke. "Shadow, you are just the most darling guy to take me out like this, you know that? And not just to dinner, I mean this whole trip."
A deeper, more sincere smile spread on her face and she seemed to blush a little, resting the bottle on the table and staring a bit coyly at her cup. "I always wanted a man who cared this much."
The speedster was softened by her words and the genuine emotion in her expression. He smiled back and lifted his cup to her. "Then it's a good thing I found you. I can't imagine experiencing this if I hadn't."
She lifted her glass, as well, and clinked it against his before they took a swig. Over the course of their dinner, Shadow found himself more and more entranced by her, letting Rouge lead the conversation and getting lost in her eyes while she told stories.
He didn't understand what he'd heard from some unsatisfied couples – that the love fades, or that the passion disappears after the honeymoon phase. He hadn't felt that way at any point and couldn't imagine it happening now.
They were certainly content in their relationship, comfortable and happy with the direction their lives had taken. But complacence wasn't something he experienced, and now, sharing a table with Rouge and listening to her tales, he had the inkling that he was falling even more deeply in love with her.
The way her face lit up when she gesticulated to enhance her retelling of a memory; the sparkle her eyes gained when she stared at him for long enough; the confidence he felt being loved and desired by someone like her; it was everything he wanted and more.
He knew there would be a right moment for the talk, but not during dinner. Their meal together would be a romantic one, the second half of which was Shadow's turn to tell stories.
Those of the interesting and funny variety were few with him, but he had some instances of shenanigans to reminisce about, harkening back to his time working at the coffee shop.
Rouge listened, as he had, and when they were sufficiently filled with food and wine, the couple left to walk the streets once again. It was dark out, the sidewalks illuminated by streetlights and the businesses that remained open.
"Do you have room for dessert?" asked the hedgehog, spotting an ice cream parlor down the road.
"Hmm, I think so! A milkshake would be nice."
So, they went inside, patronizing the establishment right before they closed, and walking out with the treats of their choice. Rouge had a vanilla milkshake with little bits of strawberries mixed in, while her lover had a big scoop of black cherry ice cream on a waffle cone.
They walked a little longer, enjoying the crisp night air and the faintly busy sounds of the city at a less crowded hour, not talking much but enjoying each other's company all the same. Then, looking around at the area ahead, the bat's eyes trailed up one of the decently tall buildings and she got an idea.
She pointed up to it while looking over at the quiet lifeform. "Hey, babe, you wanna gaze out over the city?"
Shadow followed the direction of her pointing finger, then nodded. "Sure. It must be pretty colorful in a place like this."
"That's exactly what I was thinking! Come on."
She hopped off the ground to hover in the air, dropping her arm down so Shadow could grab on. His free hand gripped her wrist, and hers grabbed his, then the winged woman lifted her beau off the ground to fly them both up to the rooftop of the nearby building.
And when she was able to see above it, the brightness of the city was apparent. It really was colorful, the night lightened by glowing hues of rainbow colors from the different attractions beckoning people to occupy their business.
"Wow," Rouge uttered in awe, her eyes twinkling. "It's like a hundred gemstones glittering in the dark!"
Shadow didn't care as much for the lights as she did, but the colors were still nice to look at, and he cared more that his partner found it pretty. They landed on the flattened slate and approached one side of the raised barrier that lined the roof.
Leaning their elbows on it, the couple went back to enjoying their ice cream while staring at the different attractions, some of whose signs they could still read clearly – namely, the casinos and nightclubs.
As the seconds passed by, Shadow felt the pertinent moment getting closer, his gut instinct telling him that this tranquil, secluded place would be the best spot to have that important conversation. So, he savored the moments before that, sharing glances with his lover until the ice cream was gone.
And when he looked down at the empty wafer cone in his hand, he felt he'd lost his appetite, and knew it was time. He placed the cone on the raised stone and then hoisted himself up, gaining Rouge's attention as he sat on the edge of the structure.
"Oh, we're sitting now?" she said teasingly, then set aside her cup and positioned herself beside him.
"Yeah, we've been on our feet enough these last few days, I think." He smiled at her and the bat wrapped her arm around his, then gave him a peck on the cheek before resting her head on his shoulder.
In truth, the Ultimate Lifeform had no worry for their feet, or how much they'd been walking; they both had more than enough endurance to handle traveling on foot, and Rouge even hovered every now and then.
Really, he felt his thinking skills were a little better when he was sitting on the edge of a rooftop, his legs dangling over the side. It was something he'd done often at his old apartment, sitting on the roof and just thinking for an hour before bed.
He hadn't done that since moving in with Rouge, so replicating it now activated those memories and the thought-stirring nature of the night air surrounding the city.
Except this time, he wasn't alone. He had a woman by his side, a beautiful one; one he loved so much that the introspection of it was daunting. Because the last time he'd cared about a girl, he'd gotten hurt.
Although it was different with Rouge, the fear of loss was very much still present, and he was still reminded of the painful ache he'd felt before he met her.
With romantic feelings now thrown into the mix, how much would it hurt to lose her, too? He thought he'd done away with those frets, but they kept coming back.
It irritated him to know his concerns still had some sort of power over him. But he had to stop letting those troubles resurface. He knew it would psyche him out of getting things done if he didn't take control.
And Shadow the Hedgehog was rarely a quitter, determined to overcome the lingering worries from his past now that he had a duty to someone again. He'd done well for two years – he wasn't going to be beaten now.
"Rouge... love..." he started, his gentle voice soaking into the night. It came out weaker than he wanted, so he swallowed to push back the unease still threatening him.
Rouge's head shifted a little, but didn't leave him. He could guess she was now looking at him. "Yeah?"
He pulled in a breath and let it out softly. "I have a secret to tell you... and before I do, I'm sorry I haven't said it sooner."
Now the weight of her head did leave his shoulder, and his gaze caught her cautious expression when her posture straightened. Their arms were still enwrapped, so he rested his other hand on hers and looked earnestly into teal eyes. Her worried demeanor dared to strike more hesitance into the hedgehog's heart, but he forced himself to speak again.
"I've told you about how I came to exist. You know that I'm an artificial being; that as organic as I feel, I was created with certain features and abilities that change how I live."
The bat nodded, her voice coming out a bit somberly. "Right, things like godly strength and chaos power. What about it?"
"Well... I also told you that... my body won't deteriorate like a normal Mobian's as I get older."
"Shadow, what are you talking about?" Her gaze scanned over his figure. "Is something wrong?"
His mouth tightened into a tense line and he squeezed her hand. 'Just say it...'
"Rouge," he said firmly, "I understated my lifespan... greatly. I won't ever get old... I was created to be immortal."
Shadow expected her to gasp, but it seemed like she'd stopped breathing instead – he could no longer hear her quietly anxious exhales in the still air, only his own. Her eyes never left him, and slowly, her lips parted.
"You're immortal...?" she nearly whispered.
The fear he saw in her eyes made the lifeform want to reassure her that everything would be okay. But he knew the thoughts going through her mind were all the valid reasons he'd imagined for her to worry over.
It was written on her shock-stricken face that questions about their future were forming as he'd predicted they would. He hadn't planned exactly what to say next. Instead, in that moment, he caught the urge to pull her into a hug, doing so with a shaky breath and embracing her tightly.
"I'm sorry. I should've been honest from the start. But I couldn't..."
Rouge didn't hesitate to hug him back, the pair sitting in silence for a minute. She was picking through the thoughts that whirled in her head, trying to focus on the ones that really mattered. And he gave her as much time as she needed, afraid to speak again first for fear of falling apart.
"So... you'll outlive me, right?"
Shadow didn't want to say yes; didn't even want to nod. His arms squeezed her tighter and his face nestled into her hair. Another minute passed, then the bat started to pull back from his grasp.
"Baby," she spoke tenderly, meeting his eyes again once they were face-to-face. His looked sad, but still a little hopeful. "I still love you... is that what you were worried about?"
An uneasy swallow fell down the dark man's throat. "Well, I was worried that... you would be afraid. Too afraid to..."
His eyes dropped from hers as he trailed off, holding her gloved hands and running his thumbs over each one. He recognized that it was to calm himself more than anything.
Though not immediately brushing aside the news, Rouge didn't seem as panicky as he expected anyone would be. She didn't say anything for a few tense beats, and when he looked back up, her expression was surprisingly firm.
"There's very little in this world that scares me, Shadow." Her eyes twinkled with unwavering certainty. "If anyone can handle an immortal partner... it's me."
The woman's maroon-colored lips curled and she raised a hand to cup his cheek, making Shadow smile in return. His eyes closed and he slowly leaned his forehead to rest against hers, then asked with less hesitation, "Don't you have questions? You can't really be this calm, can you?"
A sweet chuckle permeated the air between them. "We make our own destiny, sweetheart. You and me... we adapt when things get tricky."
His head pulled back so he could look her in the eyes as she continued, "And we learn to navigate unclear paths. So that's what we'll do. The questions can come later."
"It's possible I'll live forever... that's not daunting to you?"
She then broke eye contact to gaze over the city, taking in a thoughtful breath and letting it out in a deep sigh. Her shoulders raised gingerly in a brief shrug before she answered, "Maybe a little... if I think about it alone."
Teal eyes met him again, and her smile remained. "But I'm not alone! I'm with you, and... you're on my side." She grabbed one of his hands with both of hers and pulled it close, squeezing lovingly. "So, if you thought that would send me running, you were wrong! I'm not going anywhere."
Shadow's confidence was whole again at Rouge's words. She was true to her determined spirit, not giving up on him – just as he'd been told. He inched closer. "Neither am I. As long as we're breathing, I'll be here."
She glanced at his lips, leaning in slowly. "Even if we can't spend eternity together... we'll make the most of the time we have."
They kissed, their devotion blessing the night air where they sat. The secluded rooftop over the glitzy vacation city would be marked in their memories as the place where they reaffirmed their commitment even in the face of an existential quandary.
But it wasn't the place where Shadow would make her his fiancée. The ring, he knew, had to shine as brightly as his love for the enchanting bat when the moment came. So, with the passionate seal of loyal lips, the evening ended there.
Before it got too dark, they headed back to the hotel to sleep off the outing. Their figures rested peacefully entwined throughout the night, and when it was morning, the hedgehog woke his lover with a room-service breakfast.
"Mm, best vacation ever," said Rouge through a bite of scone. "Seriously, I wish we could do stuff like this every day!"
"Hah, well... I can always make you breakfast in bed, you know," her man offered, pouring a cup of coffee.
"Knock yourself out, handsome," she bantered with a wink. "But I mean... we're just so busy at home! Imagine if we could both just be served every day?"
"Hm, it might be glamorous for a time... but it also might make us lazy."
Rouge sighed, "Maybe so," then her face lit up with an idea. "Hey, let's go to the beach after this! It's just about the best time to sunbathe."
A smile crept across Shadow's muzzle as he thought about the little black box sitting in his bag. "Sounds perfect."
Chapter Quote: “You couldn’t stop thinking about apologizing or kissing me?"
On Wednesday, I awoke when my alarm went off. Did I sleep through his alarms today? I must have been out of it. I was hot and sweaty. I felt like I had been dreaming but couldn’t recall what it was about. I groggily headed toward the shower. I stood under the hot shower stream longer than I probably should have before I started to wash my hair. I was moving slowly through my entire routine. I felt like I had a mild hangover and was not looking forward to the workday.
As I was digging through my clothes, I realized all the undergarments that I had left were a little too sexy in nature and not the most comfortable. I silently cursed myself for letting Lauren help me pack, even though me doing it alone most likely would have resulted in a panic attack. I sighed to myself, settling on a lacy white set that was the least offensive, then I got dressed. Today it was black fitted high waisted palazzo pants that zipped up the back, a matching blazer, and light pink sleeveless blouse with a lace trimmed white Cami underneath. I pulled my straightened hair back into my usual low bun. I actually felt cute today. The pants hugged me in all the right places and gave me a little confidence boost that helped improve my mood. I was barely ready on time and had to hurry downstairs to meet Joe. As usual, he met me with coffee and scone in hand. I was thankful for it this morning.
I was surprised to not find Megan waiting for me when I arrived. I momentarily wondered if I would have any issues entering the building, but once I reached the security checkpoint, they told me to go through without checking my bag or requiring that I go through the metal detector. All I could do was shake my head as I walked toward the elevator.
When the elevator doors opened to the correct floor, Megan was standing there, looking very impatient. I smiled at her as I exited the elevator and asked if everything was ok.
“Yes, I’m sorry I wasn’t there to meet you this morning. I was just on my way down. I was having some trouble getting the printer moved to the secondary conference room for you.”
“Oh, don’t worry about that. I don’t expect you to meet me every morning. I think I can find my way now.” I gave her a reassuring smile, hoping it might help her relax some.
“So today should be fun. I am going to start running data checks. There is a possibility I may need a second set of eyes or hands.”
“Sounds good. I’m really excited about this part. I am curious to see how all this works. I think it’s fascinating.”
“Well, I think you may be the first to ever say that. Most people want no part of it.”
Megan led me to the secondary conference room that required ID scan entry. It was a large space that housed an executive style table that took up most of the room, but it was all slightly smaller than the first one we met in. I started getting set up and laid some of my paperwork out across the table. There was a method to my madness that did unfortunately involve killing some trees. I am a very visual person, so a lot of the time it helps me to lay things out instead of switching between multiple windows on a small laptop screen.
My first step was to start running some of the unaltered data download spreadsheets through a program that compared data from multiple servers and also checked for data irregularities and notable patterns. It could be a slow and tedious process depending on the size of the data load and looking at the past six years’ worth of information was a lot.
About two and a half hours in, while processing the financial data, something caught my attention. During each payment period, there was always one account outlier in the losses column. The same account never had consecutive losses within that range. I suddenly felt a rush of adrenaline, convinced this could be something.
I pulled up the profit and loss statement report pdfs that I had reviewed earlier in the week. It hadn’t been completely obvious to me at that point because of the way they were presented. I hit print. Once they were finished printing, I called for Megan to bring some tape and to come assist me. I had her sort them out by year. Then I asked her to hang them on the wall alphabetically by account name then in the order of the month and date. I also had her highlight the outliers on each report. She initially looked at me like I was crazy but didn’t question it. She did as I asked. I alternated between helping her and setting more data to run through my software. By the time we were finished, almost all four walls were completely covered in these reports. I stood back, staring at them. Trying to figure out how to piece it all together.
I grabbed a pen and started writing large visible numbers on the reports in the order that the outliers occurred. There was one full cycle of the spike in losses for each account. No repeats. I stepped back again, staring at it with a half grin on my face while shaking my head.
“Megan, would you mind letting Mr. Carrington know that I will not be available for lunch today please. I think I’ve just found something that needs my attention.”
Megan looked at me, wide-eyed. She nodded before walking out of the room. She returned several minutes later, eager to help. We both went through numbering each cycle for the outliers. It was the same every time. One full cycle through the accounts with no repeats before it started over. However, each cycle had a different order.
I sat down in a rolling chair, turning in circles to look around the room. What now? There had to be more. I leaned my head back as I rubbed my hands down my face, trying to think. Megan excused herself to go grab our lunch delivery. I figured this might be a good time to take a bathroom break. When I rounded the corner walking to the bathroom, I passed Jay Brooks. He gave me a polite hello but didn’t stop to chat. His demeanor seemed off. I had a suspicious feeling about him.
When I got back from the bathroom, Megan had returned with our lunch. As soon as I walked toward her, she leaned into me while looking around slightly paranoid. She started speaking quietly.
“So, it may be nothing, but when I was coming back, I saw Mr. Brooks attempting to swipe into this room. He never uses this room for anything.”
“That is interesting indeed. Let’s get back to work.”
We both ate while we stared at the walls. There was something about the changes in the numbers.
“I think I have an idea,” I said rather loudly as I dropped my food down on the table, causing Megan to jump. I grabbed my laptop and made a copy of the financial data spreadsheet. I quickly removed all the losses marked as outliers and moved those over to another excel tab. I went through and got the average losses for each year. Then, I went to the other tab and deducted those corresponding year’s average from each of the outliers. What I was left with literally had me bursting out in laughter.
“What a fucking idiot.”
“What is it?”
“When I account for the average losses across all accounts for that year and minor fluctuations, then subtract them from these outliers, I get basically the same difference for each account. These first two years, it’s a one-point five percent spike. It went up to two percent for a few years and it’s now holding steady at two-point five percent each time one spikes. It’s statistically impossible for that to be happening naturally for that many accounts.”
I wasn’t sure if Megan followed any of that. It was a lot to process. She just stared at me, wide-eyed before speaking.
“So, what you're saying is, someone is skimming a specific percentage from one account at a time on a rotation? Which would cause a spike in the losses, right?”
“You got it. He got greedy and started raising that percentage which made it even more obvious this last little bit. I can’t believe the accountant didn’t catch this.”
“I don’t think the accountant checked all the accounts because there are so many. He randomly picked them and asked for that specific data.”
“You have got to be kidding me.”
Megan gave me a serious look as she shook her head. That would most likely be why it wasn’t caught.
Now I had proof that malicious activity was happening, I just had to figure out how. I quickly looked back through all the audit trails relating to Mr. Brook’s accounts. There was nothing there. Everything looked legitimate.
“Can you ask the head of the IT department if he is available to see me, please?”
“Of course,” Megan said as she went to make the call.
Several minutes later, I knocked on Sam’s door. He called out for me to come in. I inquired about who has access to the mainframe and about security for that room. Sam said there were currently no cameras pointing directly at the entry door to that room, but there were some on adjoining hallways.
I realized there are also bathrooms on the same hallway as that space, so it would be hard to say definitively that someone was going into the mainframe room based on the camera footage.
I then had Sam pull up a list of IP addresses that had accessed specific data files on the mainframe, he noted that it was only the mainframe workstation listed to run scheduled automated jobs, most being done late in the evening.
“Sam, who has access to the mainframe workstation?”
“Technically, all the Senior level staff. Their ID card will get them in the room, and they have the admin credentials.”
“Seriously? Why?” I didn’t even give him a chance to answer before continuing.
“You know what, never mind. It doesn’t matter at this point. Can you get me room access information for the last six months and the automated job schedules by tomorrow please?
“Of course, I can. Anything else?”
“No, that’s it for now. Thank you.”
I left Sam’s office and walked back to the secondary conference room. I found Mr. Carrington and Megan there. Mr. Carrington’s face showed confusion as he looked around the room. I started to walk him through today’s discoveries, his confusion turned to aww. He said that he was impressed with my unconventional methods. Laughing as he looked around the room.
“I don’t want to leave this up overnight in case someone gets in here,” he stated.
“Of course. I had planned to take pictures and shred everything before I leave.”
“I’ll let you get to it then. Megan, please help her dispose of this after she’s done.”
Megan gave a slight nod as I moved to pull out my high-definition professional camera from my bag. I methodically started taking pictures of small sections of the walls. As I would finish with one section, Megan would pull them down and shred them. We finished just as it was time to call it quits for the day. She and I were both feeling worn out as the adrenaline started to wear off, but we were still excited by what we had accomplished. We said our goodbyes, then I headed downstairs to meet Joe.
It was close to six when Joe pulled up in front of the hotel. I felt giddy from today’s discoveries and anxious to see Dieter. Joe parked the car and opened my door, giving me his usual spiel. I quickly made my way inside and grabbed the back corner booth in the restaurant. I took off my blazer as I sat down because I was feeling hot suddenly. Bartender Tim made his way over and asked what I would be having. I asked for some mozzarella sticks and opted for a fruity mixed drink rather than wine and water. I had a good day, so I was feeling something a little extra. I pulled out my laptop to work on my report and looked through a few more datasets while I waited.
About forty-five minutes later, Dieter came in through the front entrance. I didn’t even have to see him to know. I could literally feel him. I looked up as he was walking into the restaurant. Our eyes focused on each other. The biggest smile spread across his face as he approached the booth. He was wearing dark colored jeans and a fitted white t-shirt, both of which were hugging him in ways that should be illegal. His hair was messy, hanging down over his forehead and he was wearing the black rimmed glasses. He was also still sporting just a hint of facial hair. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to control myself. The glasses were taking it over the top. He looked like he had had a good day. Hopefully that meant he got the news he had been waiting for.
He slid into the booth, still smiling with the sweetest look on his face. His energy was infectious. He turned to face me, took a deep breath, and said, “I got the part!”
I did a little clap, and I stomped my feet simultaneously. I was excited for him. I leaned toward him and gave him a side hug and a small rub on his back as I said congratulations. Yeah, I was shamelessly flirting with this guy again. Clearly, I was already feeling the effects from my mixed drink.
He put in his order with bartender Tim. He too ordered a mixed drink and another round of mozzarella sticks. He asked how my day had gone and I shared the new developments. Excited that I was finally on to something. He was full of questions and wanted to know every little detail as to how I had figured things out. He finished his drink off quickly as he listened.
“I think you literally just blew my mind. You’re too fucking smart.” he said with a laugh and shook his head in disbelief as he leaned back against the booth.
“Not really, the computer does most of the work for me. The rest is just recognizing patterns and reasoning.” I said, taking another sip of my drink.
“However, please feel free to continue to stroke my ego. I won’t argue too much.”
His eyes met mine and he continued to chuckle at my response. There was a look in his eyes that was unreadable. We sat staring at each other for a moment. His eyes briefly dropped down to my mouth as I bit my bottom lip, then down to his drink. He adjusted in his seat. Then, rubbed his left thumb across his bottom lip and down the side of his face before resting it on his right shoulder, giving it a small squeeze as he exhaled. I continued to look at him a moment longer. He looked slightly flushed. The energy between us had shifted. It was electric. At that moment, I knew tonight was going to be interesting and I was one hundred percent on board with it. I basically gave up any sense of control I was holding on to. It was one of my few “fuck it” moments that I was probably going to regret, and again, I didn’t event care.
I interrupted the silence, “We should get a shot to celebrate. We both had success today.”
He laughed at my enthusiasm and agreed. I slid out of the booth and asked him what he wanted. He opted for a shot of whisky. I walked up to the bar to get Tim’s attention and asked for two shots of whisky. As I waited, I could see Dieter’s reflection in the mirror behind the bar. He definitely looked me up and down, then quickly looked away. The pants I wore today were a good choice I thought to myself as bartender Tim passed me the shots.
I sat back down with the drinks; we clinked the glasses together before downing them. We continued chatting for a while about anything and everything. Movies, books, music, all the typical topics. Playfully arguing with each other when we disagreed on something. Both of us sneaking in brief touches here and there. I had shifted to face him in the booth, with my leg bent up on the seat. He kept touching my thigh when he would laugh about something I said. Even giving a gentle squeeze occasionally. It was taking my mind to places it shouldn’t be. I could feel the tension between us building.
Around ten o’clock, my phone buzzed on the table. It was Lauren. One short message asking how tonight went. I didn’t answer. She was going to be pissed at me. I looked at the time.
“Oh, it's nearly ten o’clock. Geez, that was fast. I guess they’ll be closing soon.”
I sat my phone back on the table. Feeling disappointed. Dieter looked a little disappointed too.
“Time flies when you're having fun I guess,” he said as he finished off his latest drink. I finished off mine too. We settled our bill, then we both stood, making sure we had all our things. I grabbed a mozzarella stick and stuck it in my mouth as I walked in front of him toward the exit. He started laughing at me and shaking his head. I wasn’t completely drunk, but I still had a good buzz going at this point. Completely at ease and enjoying myself. I hadn’t really been like this in years. It was kind of nice to let loose if I was being honest.
We both got on the elevator. Being in such close quarters had my nerve endings on fire while the smell of his cologne wafted around me. My head felt foggy. It took us a minute to realize that neither of us had hit the number for our floor. We looked at each other and started laughing as he reached over to hit the number 9. He backed into the corner next to me, our arms touching. The elevator jerked as it started its ascent, causing me to stumble on my unsteady feet and fall against him. The length of our bodies touching as he caught me from falling. We both froze momentarily. I looked up at him to give my apologies, but no words left my mouth. My eyes dropped to his lips. He leaned in halfway and stopped with a questioning look on his face. I closed the distance between us and kissed him. I reached up and put my hands on the back of his neck, giving his hair a little tug as we both deepened the kiss. His hands tightened around my waist, pulling me in closer.
We broke apart when the elevator dinged, and the doors opened. Staring at each other, wide-eyed. I think we were both in shock over what just happened. I gave him a shy smile and walked past him down the hallway toward my suite. My fingers over my lips the whole way. The heat from his lips, still present. I could feel him following closely behind me. I caught his reflection in the glass of a picture frame at the end of the hall as we approached our suites. He had his hands in his pockets and was watching me with a hint of a smile on his face.
We reached his door first. I took a deep breath before I turned around to tell him good night. He was looking at me intently. His eyes were unreadable. He opened his mouth like he was about to say something but stopped. He reached up to push a stray piece of hair out of my face that had fallen loose at some point and then smiled.
“I should be free tomorrow evening if you want to hang out again…I know it’s your last day here, so feel free to tell me no, if you have other plans.”
I smiled, “No, no other plans. I’ll be right here. In the hotel, I mean.”
My eyes shifted down, realizing my brain was failing me as he kept looking at me. All I could think about doing was dragging him into my room. I shook my head to clear it and smiled, telling him good night and that I would see him the following day. Reaching out to squeeze his hand as I said it. Then I turned and walked to my door without looking back. It was a second before I heard his key card in the lock. I caught a glimpse of his back as he entered his suite.
I walked into my suite, setting my things down on the couch. I stood in place for a minute. Staring at nothing as I tried to process what happened. I decided to get ready for bed and try to decompress. I pulled my blouse and shoes off, then walked into the bathroom and started brushing my teeth. I took my hair down. It fell in soft dark waves around my shoulders. I stared at myself in the mirror, noticing that my pupils were dilated. I laughed at myself. This was absurd. I could not believe how I had acted this evening. It was a sobering moment and I felt like I was past whatever had come over me by that point. I just needed to be away from him to gather my thoughts.
As I was digging through my suitcase for some pajamas, I heard a light knock on the door. I stood there for a moment, confused. It didn’t sound like it was the main door. Another knock. It was at the door adjoining mine and Dieter’s suites. My stomach did a flip once I realized it.
I walked into the bedroom and opened my side. Dieter was standing there, with his arm propped on the door frame above his head. He was wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt. Skin showing just below the hem of his shirt from where his arm was raised. My eyes lingered there before meeting his. I was certain that he noticed. He took his arm down and rubbed his thumb down the side of his lips as he hesitated to speak, eyeing me. I leaned on the opposite side of the door frame waiting for him to say something.
“I’m sorry, I-I.. shouldn’t have bothered you. I…just wanted to apologize for earlier. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and…”
“You couldn’t’ stop thinking about apologizing or kissing me?”
He stopped, realizing what he had said. He was trying to read my face, looking for the correct answer. I wasn’t giving him anything to go by. I wanted to know what he was really thinking.
He hesitated, “I couldn’t stop thinking about kissing you. I have been all week.”
He braced for my response. His eyebrows knitted together with a determined, but worried look. His chocolate eyes searched my face. That was all I needed to hear. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him to me. Our lips crashed together. He took a few steps toward me as I put my back flat against the wall. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me up against him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, running a hand through his hair and again tugging it gently. He groaned into my mouth, and I could feel his excitement pressing against me. Any control that I thought I regained over myself was gone.
I lowered my hands to the hem of his shirt, tugging to pull it off. He stopped kissing me to pull it over his head. My eyes took him in. His torso was toned but not overly muscular. His shoulders were broader than I realized and his arms well defined. He pulled me back to him. His hands were in my hair, then he reached down to pull my Cami off. He briefly stopped, “Is this ok?” he whispered before continuing. I let out a breathy yes, reminding myself to thank Lauren later for throwing in the sexy bra and panty sets even though I cursed her for it earlier in the day. He wrapped his arms around my waist as he kissed down my neck, lifting me off the floor slightly to walk toward the bed. After he placed me back on the ground, I reached down to palm him through his shorts, and he groaned into my mouth again. He reached for the front of my pants, not finding what he was looking for. He pulled away for a minute, looking down.
“How the hell do you get these things off?”
I started laughing as I turned around tugging at the zipper. He grabbed my hips, clearly admiring the view for a moment before trying to help me undo the zipper. In my haste to pull it down, I got it caught on the fabric. We both started laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation.
“Fuck it. Rip them.” I said through my exasperated laughs.
“This might as well be a damn chastity belt,” he said through his laughter as he gave a good tug, pulling me backward slightly.
The zipper finally popped loose. He sighed in relief as he pulled my back against his chest. Pulling my hair out of the way to kiss down my neck. I grinded my backside into him as he went to stick his hand down the front of my pants. Again, he paused asking if it was ok before continuing. I managed to squeak out another yes. He continued, rubbing my sensitive area, and feeling the wetness that was forming. My entire body was electrified. Honestly, I hadn’t felt this aroused or alive in years. Clearly, I had been missing out.
He pulled his hand out and slid my pants and panties down my legs. Then he moved to undo my bra, sliding it down my arms slowly. I turned around and reached for his shorts, but hesitated. I felt like I was in foreign territory. I hadn’t been with anyone but my ex-husband in so long. I started to doubt myself and I was unsure of how to do this. Damn my intrusive thoughts.
He caught my eyes with his, sensing my hesitation.
“We can stop if…”
“No, I just haven’t done this in a while. I feel a little out of practice.” I gave a half smile and a one shoulder shrug.
He reached for my face, kissing me gently.
“I think you are doing perfectly fine. Just don’t think about that.”
As his chocolate brown eyes stared into mine, I felt my confidence return and pulled his shorts down. He didn’t have anything underneath. I glanced down. He was definitely excited and above average in size, I assumed anyway. I didn’t have a lot to compare to. He pulled me back to him and started kissing me again. Geez, he was such a good kisser. I was never one for making out in the past, but the way his tongue moved with mine was igniting a blaze in me. I couldn’t get enough of him. I reached down and started stroking him. He sucked in air through his teeth, leaning his head back at the feeling.
I paused and his eyes snapped to mine. Concern etched his face.
“Do you have a condom? I’m… I’m not on anything…”
He paused before answering me, like he was trying to decide how to answer.
“I-I had a vasectomy…but I haven’t been with anyone in a very long time.”
He looked apprehensive while he waited for my response. Honestly, I was a little shocked. It wasn’t the response I was expecting. I would have to pack that away to process later.
“Oh...ok then. Me too. I mean, I haven’t been with anyone in a long time either.” I said, shaking my head up and down.
I could see the relief on his face. We gave each other awkward smiles and I started kissing him again. I was determined to be in the moment and not in my head worrying about every little detail.
Dieter backed me up to the bed. When it hit the back of my legs, I sat down and started to crawl backwards. He followed, hovering over me and kissing as we went. Once I settled, he was everywhere. Kissing, sucking, and touching every inch of me. He started working his way down and paused as he felt me tense.
“You don’t have to do that,” I said as I grasped onto his hand. He looked at me with questioning eyes.
“It’s just…that’s never really done anything for me.”
“Then clearly someone didn’t know what they were doing. Relax and let me have a go at it.”
He gave me a mischievous grin and started sucking on the inside of my thigh. I gave him a small smile and nodded for him to continue.
As soon as he put his mouth on me, a loud moan escaped my lips. Maybe he was right. It didn’t take long for me to reach my peak. It was easily the most intense orgasm I had ever experienced. A high that I had never reached.
Dieter crawled back up to hover over me, looking pleased with himself.
“Ok, you were right. Someone didn’t know what they were doing.”
He laughed at my declaration as I started to kiss him again. I could taste myself on him. We grinded against each other. After a moment, he reached down to line himself up at my entrance. He paused looking at me for permission. I resumed kissing him and bucked my hips up for him to continue. He went slow at first, giving me the chance to adjust to his size.
Once we got into a rhythm, we were fueled by pure need. Our bodies saying what our words failed to. We couldn’t get enough of each other. Our hands and lips were everywhere, sucking and caressing. My entire body felt like it was burning with want. It had never been like this for me before. I gave myself over completely. I could feel that familiar burn building again as I climaxed for a second time that evening. Dieter nipped my jawline and kissed down my neck as I arched my back through it. Once I started to come down, he grabbed my leg, just behind my knee and raised it to change the angle. I could feel the burn building again as my muscles started to contract around him for the third time.
“I’m about to…” he trailed off through his heavy breathing. He placed his forehead against mine and I wrapped my legs tightly around his waist while we both tensed from our releases.
He sat there unmoving for several minutes. We both attempted to get our breathing under control in between the deep sensual kisses we shared. We were both covered in sweat and trembling from the exertion. He rubbed his nose against mine and gave me one last peck on the lips before he rolled off to lay beside me. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his chest.
“That was…unexpected,” he said once his breathing had calmed down.
“It was. I’m not complaining.”
Dieter laughed while he twirled my hair in his fingers.
“I think I need something to drink,” I said as I laid there, unmoving. He moved to get up, agreeing that he did too. I told him I had water in the fridge. I shamelessly admired his backside as he walked out of the room.
He came back quickly, turning all the lights off as he went. He handed me a bottle of water then pulled the blanket back and climbed in covering us both up. We both downed a significant amount of water before setting the bottles on the nightstands. He scooted down in the bed onto his left side and pulled me over to him. My back to his chest. He wrapped his right arm around me with his left bent back under his head and nuzzled his face into my hair. I laced my fingers into his right hand, pulling his arm tighter around me while our legs tangled together.
For the first time in a long time, I felt content. I felt safe and unjudged. I decided I would let myself enjoy the moment and worry about consequences later. I just wanted to be happy and without worry for once. Even if it was only for one night.
I noticed his breathing shifted to slow, steady breaths. He had fallen asleep. I further relaxed into the warmth of his embrace, letting sleep take me too.
At some point in the middle of the night, I felt his foot slide down my leg, then he hugged me a little tighter. I wasn’t sure if he was awake or not. He didn’t seem to be. At least not all of him. I stretched my stiff muscles, pushing my backside into him as I did so, feeling the hardness press into me. I did a little wiggle and he groaned into my ear, burying his head into the crook of my neck. His fingers tightened in mine. He was definitely awake now.
I turned my head toward him, our lips meeting. It was slow and sensual. His hand made its way down to my core where he started working his magic with his fingers. I was panting and reached my peak quickly. He slid his hand down to my thigh, repositioning my leg. Then he propped himself up on his left arm to position himself and enter me from behind. He laid back down, wrapping both arms around me, then began moving, very slowly. We both groaned at the feeling. This position was a new experience for me. The angle hitting pleasure spots I didn’t know existed.
His right hand alternated between roaming my body and grasping my hip to pull me back to him.  My head was laying in the crook of his left arm, his left hand bent up, tangling in my hair while I turned to kiss him. I threaded my right hand through his hair, grasping it tightly causing a deep groan from him. He would switch between fast and slow thrust to prolong the experience. When he felt my body begin to tense, he picked up the pace and we both reached our high together, letting out pants and moans as we rode it out.
We melted into each other as our breathing slowed. He continued to place random kisses down my neck and nuzzled back into my hair.
“Why are you so fucking amazing.”
It was a statement. Not a question. I laughed at him.
“Can we just stay here, like this, and forget the rest of the world exists?” He said with his face buried in my neck. I chuckled.
“I wouldn’t be opposed to that.”
I started lightly rubbing his right arm, which was still wrapped around me. Within minutes he was asleep again. For a minute, I dared to wonder what it would be like to wake up with him every morning. To be in a relationship with him. He was so attentive and caring. The opposite of what I had before. Is that something I was even capable of right now? Emotionally I was kind of a mess. Not to mention the psychological effects of what I had been through. I quickly dismissed that train of thought. I was getting ahead of myself. As far as I was concerned, this was just a fling. I’d most likely never see him again after this week anyway. I eventually dozed off into a deep sleep.
A/N: More spice coming in the next chapter. 😉
[ Hello my dear followers and or fans, I present to you a Katsuki Bakugou headcanon request. The lovely @ladycoleigh and I technically devised this plot together, but I hope you enjoy it. This is super long, I apologize. Don't say I don't feed you well. Happy Pride! ]
Tumblr media
[ Headcanons Summary: Male!Reader is a Shiketsu High School intern at Best Jeanist's office and upon meeting Katsuki things don't go so well between the two of you. As time passes, Katsuki finds himself drawn to you and you to him which causes some internal questions to rise regarding sexuality. Happy Pride y'all! ]
It was easy to recognize him from the Provisional Licensing Exam and the Sports Festival. He was an angry but powerful hero student who focused on one thing. Victory. When he didn't get it, or something didn't work his way he got a little...explosive.
"Talk to him," Best Jeanist ordered, pushing you past his agency's doors, and ignoring your panicking. Katsuki was pissed about something, and it was your job to fix it. But how were you supposed to do that? "A-are you sure about this?" Best Jeanist nodded, believing that Katsuki would relate more to a male his own age.
The first thing he said to you when confronted was, "Get away from me or I'll blast your damn face off!" You trembled, trying to break the ice. "Um, your hair looks gorgeous! Uh, you look h-handsome! B-Best Jeanist does a great job," you murmured. "Eh?" Katsuki immediately stood up and towered over you. "What the hell do you mean handsome!?" he screamed before unleashing his quirk.
"I'm sorry!" you bowed in front of Best Jeanist's desk with smoke still seeping from your ripped and tattered clothes. Your skin and hair were also burned. "Maybe he doesn't like being complimented by another man?" you suggested, glancing away. "Hm...I see," Best Jeanist replied, standing up with his hands behind his back. "Keep trying," he ordered. It would take a lot of effort to break Katsuki's stubborn nature.
To help or make things more difficult, Best Jeanist assigned Katsuki and you to patrol together. During said patrol Katsuki didn't say a word to you and wandered off alone, leaving you to your own devices. You wanted to tell Best Jeanist you refused to work with him anymore, but a small part of you felt drawn to him. You didn't know what the reason was yet.
"You acted reckless!" you screamed after Katsuki apprehended a villain. "Yeah!? And who the hell do you think you are?!" he said with a snarl. You swallowed hard when he loomed over you and stared at him longer than you should have before answering. "I'm Y/n from Shiketsu High School, I s-saw you at the Provisional Licensing Exam but, uh, we didn't talk to each other," he rolled his eyes. "Yeah, there's a reason for that!" he snapped in reply.
"I just don't get it!" You groaned and leaned over the table with your hands tangled in your hair. "Like don't get what?" Camie replied. She was one of your closest friends. "He's such a jerk but I...I think I might be attracted to him?" Camie's eyes lit up. "O.M.G. You have the hots for a guy!? Who is he?" she asked, as open or absent-minded as usual. But you weren't ready to tell her more.
"Uh, K-Kacchan, are you okay? You seem distracted an-" Izuku stumbled back when Katsuki glared at him. "I'm fine, dumbass! Leave me the hell alone!" he screamed, before turning back to his desk and trying to concentrate, but damned thoughts of you kept invading his mind.
Was it strange to think another boy was handsome? Because Katsuki was! From his striking red eyes to that wild hair and those beautiful teeth that made you melt whenever he smirked. You groaned before slamming your head against the table. Best Jeanist was walking by and noticed your strange behavior. "Hm..." He had his suspicions but couldn't confirm anything now.
"I don't think I've ever had a crush before! But..." Camie shook her head and placed her hands on your shoulders. "Like that's why we're here at the mall! Just tell me who you think is hot and like who is not!" she explained, and while you were reluctant you followed through. "So that's another guy you find totes attractive and-" she paused when you sniffled. "Huh, what's wrong?" she asked, and you shook your head internally denying your homosexuality.
"I'd like to ask what is going on between you and Y/n," Katsuki stiffened his posture in response to the question, his jaw also clenched, and his hands curled into fists. "Just what the hell is that supposed to mean?" he demanded. "Nothing is going on between us damn it!" Despite his words, Best Jeanist picked up on the slight flush across Katsuki's cheeks. "Hm, I understand. Carry on with your routine," he replied, shooing him away.
"What!?" Camie screamed, snatching your phone out of your hand to get a better look at the pictures of Katsuki you had taken, as creepy as that sounded. But you couldn't help but take pictures of him. There was something so...amazing about him. "That's the angry guy from the licensing exam! I mean he's totes hot if you like him!" she commented. "I..." you sighed. "I think I do like him...I still don't know what's wrong with me, but I don't think he likes me back and-" You paused when Camie laid a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
"What the hell is your problem!?" Katsuki growled, pinning you against the wall with his hand around your throat. You had no idea what you did, but he was clearly angry about something and taking it out on you. Still, being this close to the one you liked made your heart race. "W-what are you talking about?" you replied with misty eyes, feeling his grip loosen and that look of anger fade momentarily.
After pulling Katsuki's hand from your throat and dragging him back to his office, Best Jeanist said, "I am trying to run a clean and proper organization, Bakugou. Whatever personal bias you have against Y/n won't be tolerated and-" Katsuki frowned, and Best Jeanist noticed an expression he had never seen before glistening in the boy's eye. "It's not biased I..." Katsuki growled. "Damn it, I don't know, I like them or something, okay!" Best Jeanist frowned. "And this is how you show you have feelings for another?" he questioned, angering Katsuki even more.
"You totally have to make a move!" she demanded, and your cheeks flushed. "W-what!? How am I supposed to do that? I can't do that at the agency. Best Jeanist would kill me and-"she waved her hands around. "Okay, okay," she said, tapping her chin. "Like maybe we can think of something else," she suggested.
Tumblr media
As you nervously fidget with your hands, you heard a knock at the door. You took a deep breath, steeling yourself for what's about to happen. You walk over to the door and open it, revealing your boyfriend, Jay. You pleaded with him to dress just a tad less like he came straight out of a wattpad bad-boy story, and you clicked your tongue while cuffing his flannel sleeves and straightening out the chain. You loved your parents, god, no question about it, but they were very…More on the traditional side. They were never cruel to others, but sometimes they just didn’t understand, and you didn’t want them to make any unintentionally rude comments just because they saw a guy wear earrings.
You met Jay after he frantically DM-ed you on Instagram for answers for a homework assignment to be submitted that night, and instead of being a cheat, you told him you would help him with it. You became his tutor, then his friend, then his girlfriend. You made sure he didn’t jeopardize his future and he made sure you lived a little.
"Hey," he greeted, smirking, although you could tell he was just as nervous as you were.
"Hey," you reply, trying to hide your nerves. “No swearing, don’t talk about…We’ve been over this before, just don’t get us killed--And don’t talk about that one time you snuck me out, or when you-”
“Lovie, I’m not that dumb. Relax, we’ll be okay.” He squeezed your shoulders, looking you over. Cute. A cardigan, baggy jeans, the necklace he got for you with a cami underneath, it took all his power not to drag you into the bathroom and kiss you all over your face.
“y/n? The food is ready, darling!” Your mom called, as you took a deep breath, dragging him to the dining room.
“Jay, we’ve heard a lot about you, thank you for taking care of our daughter,” your dad greeted warmly, firmly patting his shoulders. Your mom was scrutinizing every detail, and you rushed him to sit down before she noticed the chain hanging off his jeans’ belt loops.
“y/n told us you don’t have any food allergies or what not, but just in case I made vegan lettuce wraps! Oh, and smoothies of course, but let us know if you want anything else to drink,” your mom offered, setting down the meal. Jay squeezed your hand under the table, feeling you tense up.
“Awe, thanks Mrs. l/n! The food looks great--Oh, do you need any help getting that all from the kitchen?”
“We couldn’t possibly ask a guest to do that!” Your mom waved, dismissively, Jay getting up anyways.
“Good thing you’re not asking, right?” You gave a sudden side-eye, unsure how your parents would take to sarcasm, but to your surprise, your mom chuckled and allowed him to help lay out the rest of the food. Your mom turned on her favorite family-friendly radio, before dinner started.
“Jay, my daughter tells us she tutors you?”
“Oh, yeah, she does.”
“She helps your performance in school?”
“She got me to an honors diploma in less than a month,” he said half-jokingly, your dad smiling and nodding approvingly. It felt like you were watching some otome game, with the meter showing how much your parents liked Jay, and it was fluctuating with each passing second. “You raised her really well.” A few moments passed, before the silence was broken again--
“So, you wear earrings?” Your mom asked, as you glanced at him.
“Yes, she actually got me this pair for my birthday.” Your mom looked at you, but to your surprise, she nodded and smiled in approval.
“They look lovely on you! You know, kids these days, they manage to pull off so many different accessories and clothing, very progressive!” He blushed, as you fought the urge to poke his cheek and tease him, instead just giggling and nudging him.
“You know, back in my day,” your father started, “I actually wore earrings myself.”
“I can’t say you wore them as well as Jay does,” your mom joked, your dad chuckling.
“That reminds me, y/n told us you can skateboard?” Jay affirmed this, your dad laughing. “I used to be really good at skating as well! Oh, y/n will never admit this but I was quite the troublemaker when I was younger, skating after curfew, stealing gum from convenience stores, just boy things, hm?”
“Well hopefully I follow your path and grow up to be a gentleman.” You always forget how charming he is, even just in typical situations. His charisma was good at talking you two out of trouble, but you never thought it would come in handy for something like this. You stared at him while he talked, hands moving, head bobbing, a few polite smiles and some genuine ones. You were surprised at how comfortable the atmosphere was.
“You know, thank you so much for taking care of y/n. She’s a handful I’m sure, I worry we spoiled her too much growing up,” your mom teased.
“She’s sweet until she sees something she wants,” Jay indulged in their humor, your mom laughing as if he was the funniest man she ever met. “No, no really! One time I took her to get gelato, and I told her she couldn’t share with mine and she was whiny the whole way home, it was cute,” he beamed, squishing your cheek as you felt blood rush to your face. “Oh! This one time we went to the mall and she refused to leave until she got a toy from the claw machine.”
“y/n, was that the bear doll you brought home?” You nodded at your father’s question, him snorting. “You should hear her! ‘Oh Jay got me this, Jay got me that,’ as if we didn’t get her allowance! It’s so…Are your parents okay with you spending so much? There’s a whole corner of gifts from you!”
Jay waved a dismissive hand, smiling. “It’s my own money.”
“He saves well!” You interrupted. “He’s good with money.”
“Unlike you?” Your dad joked. “How is she in school?”
“An absolute troublemaker, so noisy…” Jay shook his head in fake disapproval. Your mom and dad laughed, continuing their barrage of questions on how your behavior is, if he makes good choices himself, family life, school life, friends, if you’re making good choices or not. He tried not to die inside when they asked about marriage or moving in, how college was gonna go for the two of you, he didn’t want to think too much about a future when what mattered was you, with him, in the moment.
“It’s getting late, but…” Your mom stood, retrieving something from the counter, a small black gift box that was wrapped in purple ribbon. “y/n tells us you like that sort of alternative fashion, and since you’ve been so kind to our daughter, we wanted to get you something.” You didn’t expect this, as usually when you mentioned a possible romantic partner they panicked and held such a high level of distrust you could’ve never made it work--but this night went too well, even them getting him a gift. Inside was a bracelet, black beads with a single diamond charm in the center.
What the fuck.
“Your birthday is April right?” Jay nodded, still taken aback. “We hope you like it.”
“Thank you so much, I can’t take this from-”
“Good thing you’re not taking it! It’s a gift from us, you’re not taking anything,” your mom stood, dad and you following as you began the preliminary goodbyes. “You make our daughter happy, we cannot thank you enough for that.”
“Come by for dinner again! I want to tell you stories from my day,” your dad nodded, giving him a handshake while your mom squeezed Jay in a hug. You couldn’t help it, sniffling and crying a bit at the scene. “Sweetheart, why are you crying?”
“You guys like him so much,” you sniffled.
“Are you jealous?” Jay teased, excusing himself and wrapping his arm around you. You were the cutest thing in the world, every time your parents thanked him for taking care of you he fought the urge to tell them how he would literally do anything for you, anything to make you smile and keep you safe. From the small things like making sure you wore your seatbelt, walking you home, or always being on speed dial, to the things he didn’t tell you; deciding not to drink anymore because you got worried, getting into a fight with the guy who was talking badly about you, getting rid of shady relationships…Seeing you cry was heart-breaking, but he couldn’t help but laughing at how cute you were. “I told you I’d never make you cry, y/n.”
“I just didn’t think you’d like him so much!” You explained, as he wiped your cheek. “I just really wanted you guys to like him, and you do, and I’m just really happy,” you laughed at yourself, your dad patting your head as your parents and Jay chuckled. Jesus fucking christ he would die for you, and although he wanted to make you cry in different ways, this was pretty adorable too.
“Oh…What are we going to do with you?” Your mom offered him a pitying smile. “Feel free to go home, it’s getting late. He pulled you closer, kissing the top of your head and wiping your face again.
“Love you,” he mouthed, before turning back to your parents. “Thank you for having me and being so kind, you both raised a great daughter and I’ll do my best for her.” They exchanged goodbyes, as you finally calmed down a little from your happy sobs.
“No, but really, why’d you guys like him so much?”
“Well, do you like him?” you nodded. “And he makes good choices?”
“Most of the time.”
“And he makes you happy?” You nodded again. “That’s all we could ask from someone. We want you to be happy, darling, now go get ready for bed, we love you.”
----
Two am, parents left for a business trip and would be back tomorrow night, and although you mostly cooled off from dinner you couldn’t help but giggle and kick your legs at seeing him in such a domestic, typical boyfriend-y setting. You heard three knocks on your window, as you rushed to open it, Jay practically scrambling in.
“Did they like me? Did I do good?” he asked immediately, shaking you by the shoulders.
“Where’d all that confidence go?” You teased, sitting on your bed as he paced around your room.
“What if they thought I was annoying or too loud or too talkative or--” You grabbed him by the wrist, pulling him down for a kiss.
“They would’ve called the cops on you then. You’re cute when you’re nervous though.”
“You literally cried tonight, don’t you dare tease me,” He pouted, kicking his shoes off and dragging you to cuddle in bed. “I’m just happy, you made it seem like they’d drive a stake up my ass.”
“You’re just lucky to be so likable,” you poked his cheek. He was pretty, features illuminated by your night-light, the smell of cologne lingering on his clothes.
“Where are your parents anyways?” He asked, stroking your hair.
“Business trip, they’ll be back tomorrow night.” Upon hearing this, he began dragging a finger down your spine, and without even looking you knew he was smirking. “You’re a liar, you know?”
“Why’s that?”
“You told me you’d never make me cry, but--” He grabbed your face to kiss you, free hand running over your sides, and you felt him smile into the kiss before parting to press his forehead against your’s.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle tonight.”
Please don't take my work, I will find you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
After two magical days in Hawaii, it was time for you and Bradley to return back home. As much as you wanted to stay longer, you really missed everyone. Especially Leia. You woke up around 7 AM to see that Bradley was gone again. You stretched and got out of bed. You made your way downstairs and he was out on the balcony in his underwear. You watched as he brought a glass to his lips and drank from it. He was looking at the city below him. He was taking in the sounds of the ocean, the view, and the way it all smelt. You walked out quietly to the balcony and wrapped your arms around his waist. You placed a soft kiss on his back and laid on him.
Bradley looked over his shoulder at you and chuckled. He placed his free hand over your arms and leaned back slightly into you. “Good morning, my beautiful girl.”
You let go of him slightly and he turned around to you. You kept your hold on him and rested your chin on his chest. You were looking up at him. He fixed your bedhead and placed a kiss on your forehead. You looked over at his glass. There was stuff floating all around his drink. You looked at it weirdly and he took another sip of it.
“Bradley, what are you drinking?” You giggled.
He swallowed his drink and burped. “Sorry, sweetheart. Naturally carbonated.” He blew away his burp and shooed it away from you. “But this is kombucha, babe. So good for your gut.” He took another sip. “You want to try it? You’ll feel so much healthier.” He laughed. He handed you the glass and you examined it.
“Why does it look like that? What is floating in it?” You made weird faces at the glass.
Bradley laughed, “Those, baby girl, are live probiotics swimming around in there.” He tapped on the glass.
“So you mean to tell me that I’ll be drinking some sea monkey contraption?” You looked at him shocked.
He laughed loudly, “Sweetheart. NO! Just try it!” He brought the cup to your lips.
You inhaled and started to cough, “It smells sour! Oh my gosh, Bradley!” You pulled away from it.
“Baby, just a little sip. It tastes a lot different than it smells. I promise.” He smiled at you and brought the cup to your lips again.
You sighed and closed your eyes. You took a sip of it and gave the cup back to Bradley. You looked up at him and smiled, “Okay it wasn’t bad at all. It actually tasted like pineapples.” you burped. “Oh my gosh, I am so sorry.”
Bradley woofed your burp to his nose, “Ahhhh. Nothing better to start my morning, sweetheart.” He started to laugh. He placed the drink down on a table. “So I was thinking, we could take another little stroll around before we head back home.” He interlocked his fingers with yours.
You brought his hand up to your lips and kissed it, “I love the sound of that.”
He smirked at you, “We don’t have a set time to go home, we can do whatever we want. I am the pilot flying us home, you know.” He kissed your lips. “Let’s get ready and head out, baby girl.”
He brought you back into the hotel room and the both of you got ready together. You sat on the bed in your towel. You looked around and smiled at Bradley, “I don’t have anything to wear today.”
He laughed and shook his head, “You’re wrong, baby.” He went to the closet and pulled out a white cami jumpsuit. It was covered with red birds of paradise. It was so cute. He held it against him, “This is for me.” He winked at you and laughed. He brought it over to you and handed you the jumpsuit on the hanger. “Put it on!”
You stood up and removed your towel. You put on a bra and underwear before you slipped into the jumpsuit. It fit you perfectly. It was so soft. You did a little twirl for Bradley. He put his hand over his mouth as he checked you out. His eyes were wide as he looked at you. You laughed and grabbed his hands, “Thank you, Bradley. I love it. I loved all my outfits. You picked right.”
He kissed you on our cheek, “Wait for it. It gets better.” he ran over to the closet and furrowed his brows, and made an o with his mouth. He pulled out a matching shirt and presented it to you with an angelic hum coming from his mouth. “Matching, again!”
He put it on and buttoned it up leaving the top two undone. He posed for you, he put his hands on his hips and did a superman pose. You started to laugh because he was just in his boxer briefs and the shirt. “Sooo hot.” You bit your lip and giggled.
He pulled you to him and kissed your cheek, “Okay let's get a move on, sweetheart. We have a whole lot to do with no time!” He started to laugh as he smacked your butt the whole way to the bathroom.
After you both finished completely getting ready, Bradley brought you down to the beach by your hotel. He brought you over to the shore line and took your sandals off of your feet. He took his sandals off and held both pairs as you two walked along the water. The tide was slightly hitting your feet and the water felt warm. The sand was cold and crunchy under your feet. You and Bradley were hand in hand enjoying the sun. He swung your guys's hand back and forth as you walked. He brought you to a closed loading dock. There were a bunch of people on there jumping off and diving. There were also people there taking pictures. He brought you to the edge of it and you two were alone. It was quiet, all you could here was the waves crashing and breaking in the distance.
Bradley held you in front of him and wrapped his arms around you. You closed your eyes and leaned into his chest. You took slow breaths feeling more and more relaxed with each release. You melted into Bradley’s arms and hummed. He held you close and brought his head down next to yours. He leaned his cheek into yours and you could feel his mustache tickling you. You turned to look at him. He moved his head and looked you in your eyes. His cheeks were rosy because it was warm out he was smiling with his eyes. He looked so happy. He started to rub your side.
“It would be a shame you if suddenly fell into the ocean right now, sweetheart.” He jolted forward slightly making you yelp. He kept his embrace tight and pulled you back as you almost fell in. He started to laugh so hard he threw his head back. “I wouldn’t do that to you, baby.”
You looked at him and shook your head. “You’re going down with me, Mr. Bradshaw. I go, you go. We are a team now.” you giggled and brought you hand to his cheek.
He brought his cheek to yours again and you pulled him to your lips to kiss his cheek.
“You are absolutely right, baby. You and me forever.” He pulled away from you and pulled out his phone. “You wanna dance, sweetheart? I think we should get our practice in for our wedding day.” He smiled up at you as he scrolled through songs.
“I think I am that only one who needs practice. I have two left feet, Bradley. You dance so much, you’re so good at it.” You raised your brow at Bradley and rested your hand on your hip.
He looked up at you and shook his head, “You dance perfect, baby. But, if you would like to get better… you have a great teacher in front of you.” He chuckled, “Y’know I taught Payback how to for when he got married. THAT was HARD.”
You cocked your head back and looked at him with furrow brows, “You taught, Payback?”
He nodded, “I did. Private lessons, babe. He was embarrassed so after everyone would fall asleep at the barracks or on the ship, wherever we were at the time, he would come over to my room and I would teach him. He was very good at dancing with his pillow. He swept Emily ( @minstens ❤️) off of her feet. When we first started he had hands for feet, I swear. But come his wedding night, looked like he had taken lessons all his life.” He chuckled and shook his head. He finally picked a song, You Had Me From Hello by Kenny Chesney.
He put both of your sandals down and placed his phone on top of them. He grabbed your hands and placed them around his neck and pulled you in by your hips. He slowly started to sway to the song, “Just follow my lead, sweetheart. Feel the song.” He kissed your forehead and held you close. “Just the basics. You’ll be a pro in no time.”
You laid on his chest and laughed. You slapped the back of his neck slightly. You closed your eyes and felt the music. You did what felt natural to you. Bradley rubbed his hands up and down your back slowly as you danced. He laid his head on top of yours.
And you were in my future as far as I could see and I don’t know how it happened, but it happened still.
“You know baby, I used to listen to this song all the time when I was away and all I could do was think of you. You were always on my mind. You never left it and you never will. I am so in love with you, sweetheart. My heart belongs to you. It always has.”
You could feel the vibrations in his chest from his voice. His heart beat started to get fast as he spoke, but then it slowed down as he held onto you tighter. You were his home. You made him whole.
The moment that I looked into your eyes, you won me. It was over from the start. You completely stole my heart.
He brought his hand up to your cheek and pulled back slightly. You placed one of your hands on his. He looked into your eyes and smiled. He lightly scratched at your cheek and started to sing softly to you, “Something in your voice caused me to turn my head. You had me from ‘Hello’. You had me from ‘Hello’. Girl I’ve loved you from ‘Hello’.” You started to tear up and he kissed you softly. “I’ve loved you since the day we met, y/n. You were made for me.”
He pulled you in and hugged you. Your eyes started to tear up more. You felt a warm tear fall down your cheek onto your chest. You inhaled deeply and took in his scent. He always knew the right things to say and he always knew how to make sure you felt loved. In this moment, you felt so weak in your knees. You were in heaven whenever you were with Bradley.
He rubbed your back and tickled you slightly, “Hey, sweet girl, no more tears.” He pulled back and squished your cheeks together. He kissed your squished lips over and over again rubbing his mustache against you. You started to giggle. “There is my favorite... most favorite sound in the world.” He kissed the tip of your nose. He picked up yours and his sandals and his phone. He grabbed your hand. “Come on, baby! We have so much to do! I have one more surprise for you, beautiful.” He started to run off the deck. You laughed and trailed close behind you.
“Bradley!” You giggled and wiped your tears. “Wait!”
He looked back at you and pulled your arm so you were right next to him. He wrapped his arm around your waist, “Keep up, butter cup! We’re gonna be late!” He laughed as his strides started to get bigger. He held you close to him as he ran. You were both laughing as you ran. Everyone was looking at you two like you were crazy, but little did they know. You were just having the time of your life with the man of your dreams.
You both arrived at another boat dock. There was a big private white boat waiting for you and Bradley. He shook hands with the owner of the boat and they helped you board. The owner held your hand and Bradley picked you up and placed you in the entrance of it. You walked into the boat as Bradley got help from the owner to get up. It was so pretty. You looked down and saw that the floor was purely glass. You could see the ocean beneath you. Your eyes went wide. You could see into the ocean. You could see all the fish swimming beneath you. It was such a cool sight.
Bradley brought you over to the seats and sat with you. “You are going to love this, baby. Mav and my dad took me on one of these kinds of boat rides when I was little.”
The boat started to drive off into the water. You and Bradley looked down at the glass as the boat went. You could see all the fish in the ocean. It was crystal clear. The driver brought you over various live tropical reefs. They were so beautiful. The colors were so vibrant, it almost seemed like they were fake. You saw so many turtles and you squealed when you saw a starfish chillin on a rock. You even got to go and see a shipwreck. The boat from the shipwreck was huge. you could see that it had been there for a while. The outside of it was covered in debris, seaweed, and a bunch of barnacles. The tour boat went over it slowly so you could see every detail of the boat. you would still see all of its features clearly. There were fish coming in and out of the boat.
You looked over at Bradley and smiled, “Thank you for taking me here. I am having so much fun.” You put your hand on his cheek and pulled him in for a kiss.
“I am glad you like the boat tour! I’m really happy you’re okay being on a boat. I was afraid you might get sick.”
You laughed, “Oh please, Bradley! Who would I be if I couldn’t be on a boat and I am marrying a man in the Navy.” You raised your brows at him.
He put his hand over his eyes and wiped it down to his mouth. “Sweetheart, you would be dead weight.”
You laughed together, “But I am not just talking about this boat ride, Bradley. I’m thanking you for flying me to Hawaii.” You looked at him with so much love in your eyes.
He grabbed your hand and squeezed it, “I will fly you anywhere you want to go, babe. You deserve this.” He kissed your cheek.
The boat started to make its way back to the dock. Bradley leaned back against railing of the boat and put his arm up. You snuggled into his chest and he put his arm around you. He looked out at the ocean as you made your way back. You looked up and admired him. His curls were blowing around in the wind, his eyes slightly squinted from the sunlight, his mustache getting flattened against his upper lip as the wind hit him, his green eyes were glistening from the reflection off of the ocean, and his nose was slightly flaring every time he would breathe in. You leaned in and kissed his chin. He looked down at you and placed his hand on top of your head. He pushed your head back and kissed your forehead. You both continued to look out at the ocean as you made your way back to the dock.
After the boat docked, Bradley carried you out of the boat and back to the sand. He peppered your face in kisses as he held you. It was as if you were a weightless feather in his arms. He set you down on the warm sand. The two of you walked over back to the hotel. He bent down and dusted the sand from your feet and placed your sandals back on. You two walked around the hotel for a while. He brought you into a store to get some snacks and a luggage. On the way back to the hotel, you both ate your snacks.
When you arrived back in the hotel room, Bradley started to pack yours and his belongings into the luggage. After he finished packing he put the bag near the door. He brought you out to the balcony one more time. You stood in front of him and he had his chest firmly against the back of your head. He reached forward and placed his hands on the railing. You were wedged between his body and the rails.
“One last look until our wedding day, Mrs. y/n Bradshaw.” He tucked your hair behind your ear and kissed your cheek. “Come on, baby. Our little girl is waiting for us at home.”
You turned to him and he took your hand. He grabbed the luggage and you looked back one more time before the door closed behind you. When you got downstairs the car was waiting for you. Bradley helped you into the car and you both headed back to the airport. Upon arrival, you went through the whole check and made your way to the tarmac. The plane was right where Bradley left it. A worker drove you both over in a taxiing car. There were tarmac attendants working on the plane and doing checks.
When you got to the plane, one of the workers saluted Bradley and gave him the keys. The worker then opened the door for you and Bradley to enter. You went and sat in the co-pilot seat. You put your headset on and buckled yourself in. Bradley did his outside and inside checks. He came into the cockpit and kissed your cheek. You looked up at him and he gave you a thumbs up. You smiled and gave him one back. He sat in the pilot’s chair and put his headset on. He buckled himself in and started up the plane. He communicated with the grounds crew and the tower.
“Carole Bradshaw ready for taxi.” The grounds crew closed and locked the entry door.
“C. Bradshaw requesting permission to taxi.”
The tower cleared Bradley to taxi. Bradley threw a thumbs up to the ground crew and saluted them. The crew member threw a thumbs up and signaled Bradley where to taxi. He pulled up to the end of the taxiway and called to the tower again.
“C. Bradshaw requesting permission to enter the runway.”
Tower had him stand by as one of the commercial airlines was about to take off. He held it at the runway entrance. After the commercial plane took off, they cleared him to enter the runway. He started to flip switches and push some buttons as he made his way to the runway.
“C. Bradshaw ready at the runway heading northeast.”
They cleared him to take off. He sent a quick text to Mav that you both would be heading back and will be making your way in, in about 4 hours. He turned his phone off and put it away. He reached over and grabbed your hand. You looked over and he squeezed it and brought your knuckles to his lips. He gave your hand a kiss and he winked at you. You smiled and nodded. He punched in the coordinates and readied up the plane. He readied up each engine, you could hear them kicking on and the plane stirred. He flipped a couple of more switches and pushed the thruster levers all the way forward. He kissed his fingers and tapped the airplane's dash. He held firmly onto the yoke and the plane took off. Before you knew it you were back in the air. You looked at the islands as they started to get smaller and smaller.
Bradley cleared the tower to where he was heading. Once you were at the appropriate altitude, you took your headset off and laid back in your chair. Bradley took his off and flipped on the speaker. He put the plane on autopilot and looked over at you.
“Sweetheart, come here.” He put his hands out to you. “I miss you, come and sit with me.”
You chuckled and took off your seat belt. You made your way over to Bradley and sat on his lap. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his chest. “Better, Brad?”
He kissed your arm and nuzzled his face into your size. “So much better.” He muffled into your side. It tickled and you started to laugh. He started to kiss your shoulder as he massaged your thigh. “I don’t know about you, y/n, but I miss our little girl.”
You looked down at him and he was making some sad puppy dog eyes at you. You mirrored his face and cupped his cheeks in your hands, “I miss her too, Bradley. 4 hours and she will be in our arms.” You smiled at him and peppered kisses on his mustache. He tried pulling back as he laughed but you held his head firmly in place as you continued to kiss him.
“Baby, don’t do that to me or you’ll be slamming your head onto the autopilot again.” He started to laugh hard.
You looked at him annoyingly and slapped him in the chest. He started to cough. “That’s not funny, Bradshaw!” You annoyingly laughed, “Ha. Ha. Ha.” You narrowed your eyes at him.
“Sweetheart, you can make it even by hitting the other side of your forehead.” He started to laugh again.
You squinted your eyes and pursed your lips, “Or I can slam your head onto the autopilot and we can be twins.”
He stopped laughing and his jaw dropped, “That actually doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” He smiled at you devilishly.
You got up off of his lap and crossed your arms, “We aren’t having sex in the air again.” You smiled at him mockingly and returned to your seat.
He placed his hand over his heart and clenched it, “That really hurts my heart, baby.” He made a crying face.
You rolled your eyes and laid back in your seat. “I am going to take a nap, Lieutenant.” You exhaled deeply and got comfortable in your seat. You could hear Bradley’s seat unbuckle. You felt his lips and mustache on your forehead.
“Okay fine. Sweet dreams, baby.” He pushed your hair back and returned back to his seat.
You dozed off into a deep sleep. You woke up to Bradley putting a blanket on you. You were drooling a bit and you wiped it as you sat up. You inhaled sharply and looked at Bradley. He smiled at you and squatted by your side. He started to pet your hair back away from your face.
He was being so gentle and his voice was hushed, “I am so sorry, baby. I didn't mean to startle you. I just didn’t want you to be cold.” He laid his arm on the armrest and rested his chin on his arm. He looked at you in a daze as he kept petting your hair. “Go back to sleep, my pretty baby. You’ve had an eventful week this week.” He got up and kissed your lips.
He returned back to his seat and you looked over at him with a weak smile and almost shut your eyes. He pointed at you closed his eyes, laid on his hands, and gave you a thumbs up. You nodded slowly. Your eyes were getting heavier and heavier. He blew you a kiss before your eyes were closed shut.

Pretend.
Daisy Jones x (implied) fem!reader
Slight* Graham Dunne x reader
Warnings: reader experiences impulsive hetero sexuality, profanities (duh), implied sex, and daisy kinda being an ass.
A/N: I don't know why I wrote this and I hate it. it doesn't really make sense but I think I'm going to write a oc story with daisy jones and I might add it in there.
As I slowly got out of his bed I tried not to disturb his sleeping form.
        As I stood there above his bed looking at him, it made my heart ache as I realized I do not feel the same way for him as he does for me and as I probably should feel for him.
      Graham Dunne. There was nothing physical or mentally wrong with Graham Dunne, he was a sweet guy and oh lord he was a good kisser. But it was me and as I stood there in his bedroom thinking that I realized it was true and not like the other times I used that excuse to get out of stupid situations with douchebag guys, but it was actually true. I just wasn't good enough for a guy as sweet and charming as Graham Dunne.
       I know girls who would give up their tits for a guy like Graham Dunne.
      But I wasn't that girl.
      I wasn't kind enough like Camila
      I wasn't smart enough like Karen
      And I wasn't pretty enough like….
                      Daisy….
Oh Daisy, Daisy was gorgeous everything about her. I loved it, I loved it all.
But I didn't take it as love I took as jealousy.
I thought it was jealousy.
I thought It was just jealousy.
Jealousy of how Daisy Jones could capture the attention of any guy in the room, and I thought I just wanted that attention from those guys. But I didn't. I wanted to be those guys.
As I got dressed and picked up my stuff Graham started to stir awake.
        "Oh, morning?" It said more as a question, in that attractive morning voice.        "Leaving already?"
"Oh yeah, I have to get to work, you know?
"Oh but I thought you didn't have to be there until like 11:00?"
"Yeah, but I just wanna get a head start, like take a shower and get some breakfast."
"Oh well you can do all of that here."
"Graham I gotta go."
"Y/N please for me?"
"Uhh okay fine I'll stay whatever."
"Thank youuu." He said while pulling me into his bare body.
"GRAHAM STOP!"
"Okay come on pretty lady."
When we walked over to the kitchen where the rest of the band and Camila were sitting at the dining room table.
"Oh good morning Y/N!" Camila said with that sweet sultry voice. "I didn't know you were gonna join us this morning."
"Yeah me either, Graham convinced me" as i finished my sentence I saw a familiar fire colored haired girl passed me by.
"Hey Y/N." Daisy. Why was Daisy here? She doesn't leave here.
"Oh hi daisy didn't think you would ever be here."
"Oh yes, because of the party last night Daisy ended up staying here last night." Cami said being as nice as she always is.
"And I see you did too Y/N…" why'd she say it like that? Why'd Daisy have to say it like that?
"Um yeah… they did." Graham said in the most sassiest, sarcastic tone I've heard come from that mouth of his.
"Okay calm down." Daisy said, jumping on the counter. Billy turned his head to give her a look to tell to get down. The fire head girl obliged but not without the quick of an eye roll. "It was just a question, mini Dunne." Her beautiful ocean colored ones met mine for what felt like a century. I looked into them to maybe find some sort of security, but all I saw was a sort of darkness, covered by dilated pupils, low eyelids, and dark eye bags. I knew something was wrong. I didn't need her appearance to tell me that. All I needed was to see her at Billy and Camila's house and I immediately knew something was off.
Sure, we were all at Billy and Camila's house because the party that took place last night and with all of us being to fucked up to get back to our respected "homes" or whatever you would call a bunch of 20-somethings trying to keep a roof over our heads.
She moved away from the kitchen to where I was standing in the hallway talking to Graham. She pushed past me bumping my shoulder as a snarky remark that nobody would ever not expect Daisy Jones not to do.
But instead of just bumping my shoulder and leaving it be she grabbed my shoulder and brought me into some room in the house but I was way to focus on her to notice anything expect her dragging me into that room and pressing me against that wall.
      "Really a Dunne? A DUNNE?! You're dating a Dunne?"
      "It's not like Daisy. He's not like daisy."
      "Really Y/N? He's Dunne. He's related to THE Billy Dunne." The way she emphasized his name made me sick to my stomach. "He has to be at least a little bit like him."
       "No." I didn't know what to say, so all I said was no
      "Really Y/N?! Are you really naive-"
      "Daisy-"
      "HE DOESNT CARE!"
      "Daisy stop."
      "NOBODY IS EVER GOING TO CARE!"
      "You're high."
      "NOBODY IS EVER GOING TO LOVE YOU. YOU SAY YOU WANT LOVE BUT YOU HANG AROUND ALL THIS GOD DAMN ASSHOLES WHO REALLY COULDNT CARE LESS IF YOU LIVED OR DIED. AND GUESS WHAT THEY WILL NEVER. TRULY. LOVE YOU!"
It all happend in a blink of an eye.
One minute she was yelling at me telling me that nobody is ever going to love me.
And the next she's holding her red swollen face from me slapping her out of angry and fear.
And then the minute after that she's plunging her body towards mine trying to connect our lips together.
It was sweet and warm, and some how awfully familiar. Like something we've done many times before. Like something that's happend so many times in a past life.
The kiss felt like soul mates trying to find there way back to each other.
Daisy pulled away resting her head on my chest.
          "Daisy?"
          "I'm sorry."
          "Daisy-"
          "Y/N, please let me finish." I stared at her right in those ocean colored orbs of hers.
          "I care about you okay? I love you. I need you."
          "Daisy-"
          "Watching you be with all this dumb, DUMB men as me sick to my mother fucking stomach"
         "Daisy." I said irritated.
If anyone knew Daisy Jones they would know the only way to get daisy jones to shut up is to physical stop her and sometimes that doesn't even work.
         I grabbed Daisy's face and pressed her lips against mine.
Daisy was an amazing kisser, even though I just found out I have always assumed.
I pulled apart still holding her face in my hands.
"I love you Daisy Jones."
She didn't need to say anything, her sweet, sweet smile was enough.
I quickly pulled my hands off her face as I heard the door creak open. It was Graham.
"Is everything alright? We heard screaming." He said pointing to the kitchen where everybody else was pretending to mind their own business.
"Yeah I'm alright, sorry. Give me a second, okay?" I said, giving him a peck on the cheek.
As he left the room I turned back to Daisy and whispered in her ear: "I love you Daisy, but you need help."
As I walked out the room, Daisy grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"You can't keep pretending Y/N."
"What?" I said pretending that I didn't slightly know what she was referring to.
"You can't keep pretending that you like him." She said, referring to Graham. "Or men in general."

†•°•══════ஓ๑「𓆙」๑ஓ══════•°•†
Camilla never got jealous. She always told herself (and others) that, and usually she's entirely truthful about that fact about herself, in particular.
While Camilla was never the most honest among her peers, when it came to how she expressed herself — especially around people she considered ‘friends’ — she's an open book.
Unfortunately for the students of Royal Sword Academy, it seemed most of the student body had to walk around with a blindfold over their eyes; Camilla Marigold’s in a sour mood and that never ended well.
It was during lunchtime when Camilla spotted Mitch. The girl was quite enamored with the young man, and it wasn't hard to see why.
Mitch was… Well, Mitch was a lot of things, and one of those things was that he happened to be Cami's type.
Tall — taller than she was —, spoke his mind, pushed himself to his limits, intelligent (to some degree), and had an attractive face.
… Okay, maybe the details were pretty vague about why Camilla was attracted to him other than his looks, but trust that she liked him for more than that!!
Anyway! To transition into a more important topic, Camilla leaned against her table, grumbling to herself with narrowed eyes.
Neige had taken it upon himself to give Mitch some company, babbling about boring kinds of topics like… Whatever it is bland prince charmings like Neige talked about.
Ugh, Camilla hissed beneath her breath, the scales beneath her uniform beginning to itch. That little brat just doesn't know when to shut up, huh?...
“Are you watching Mitch again?”
Camilla released a large hiss, her hair on the brink of turning into her gossip-loving serpents. Upon seeing that it was just Davis — “blander than his color palette” — Novellion, Camilla just rolled her eyes, turning her attention back to Mitch and Neige.
“None of your business,” she retorted. Then she processed what Davis said before. “Also- What do you mean, again?”
“I thought it was obvious.” Davis was a lot of things, but at least he and his pompous ass knew what boundaries were and didn't try making himself comfortable on Camilla's table. “You like him.”
She hissed again. “I do not!”
“You do.”
“Do not.”
“Do too.”
“Do not!”
“I'm not having this conversation with you,” Davis exhaled, exasperation evident in the way he carried himself.
Probably because of that jousting incident last week, Camilla elicited a series of pitiful yet disgusted sounds at Davis' injured arm hanging from its cast.
That wasn't important, however. A different story for a different day. Whatever Davidson Novellion had going on in his life wasn't any of her business.
“Just-” Whatever words tried to get out of Camilla, she preferred not getting in trouble for offending a prince. “Just leave. Seriously, just leave.”
Davis gave her a knowing look, then shrugged his shoulders, letting them relax once he walked away from Camilla's isolated lunch table.
Not before telling her one last thing, though.
“If you think you were being subtle about your jealousy, Marigold, do keep in mind that you were never good at being subtle.”
•𓆙°─────────°𓆙•
Camilla wasn't the jealous type!
Whatever nonsense Davis was spouting, that's all it was. Nonsense. Camilla wasn't petty enough to stoop down to that level!
To prove any accusers wrong, she decided to try and be nice for once! Approaching Neige and Mitch with her best attempt at a polite smile.
A half-assed attempt to convince Mitch she wasn't someone to be wary of, but an attempt nonetheless.
“Leblanche!” Camilla ran up to Neige with a hearty grin, nearing the urge to gag at the way she ran like a befreckled lovestruck schoolgirl.
Neige turned to face her, that sickeningly sweet smile of his never seeming to fade. “Ah, Mari! It's so good to see you again!”
“Yes, quite!...” Camilla clasped her hands together, her smile painfully close to twitching away. She looked to Mitch, trying to gauge a reaction out of his impassively handsome face and getting next to none.
She harrumphed, pushing past Neige to stand before Mitch, face to face.
Mitch’s eyebrow raised in suspicion. “What is it that you want, Camilla?”
“Aha,” she smiled, cocking her head to one side and feigning coyness with him. “I'm not sure I get what you mean, Reiss.”
“Your presence isn’t welcoming.”
“I'd beg to differ, but I suppose we all have our opinions.”
“Your smile. It's-”
Her grin widened, and eyelashes batted at him. “Dazzling?”
Mitch straightened his stance. “Half-assed.” There remained his no-nonsense, emotionless expression.
Oh, how I wish to kiss you, Camilla thought whilst looking into his eyes. And strangle you all the same.
“So!” Neige just had to chime in, didn't he? “Mari, did you need something?”
“Yes, actually!” Camilla grit her teeth, her attitude becoming notably less sly and more forcefully cheerful.
“I've been meaning to spend some time with Mitch.”
Her gaze wanted to meet Mitch's, her smile having turned genuine with a simple turn of her head towards him. “If he would care to join me.”
“Oh! I'm sure Mitchy wouldn't-”
“That won't be necessary.”
Ah. It seems Neige was delighted by the prospect that needn't involve him, yet Mitch? Not so much.
“Oho? Why is that?” With her patience wearing thin, Camilla's attention remained solely on Mitch. Whatever Neige had to say could wait to be processed later.
Mitch sure wasn't persuaded. Then again, he never was when it came to Camilla's venom-laced tongue. “I'm sure you know exactly why.”
“I don't quite follow,” one step forward.
Another step forward. “I believe that to be false.”
“Is that so?” Camilla's smile faltered. Just the slightest bit closer, and Mitch could note the detail of scales on her neck. Perhaps even feel her breath against his chin.
“I'd prefer keeping things brief,” Mitch began escorting Neige far, far away from her. “But after what had gone down during VDC, I don't feel inclined to leave Neige to his own devices.”
“Apologies, but I must decline your offer.”
That didn't feel, nor sound, like an apology.
Camilla watched, with an inferno of aggravation lighting up in her eyes, as Mitch and Neige’s silhouettes slowly became colored shapes in the distance.
Her unique magic activated all on its own, mostly due in part to the way her emotions were affecting her current state of mind.
Her golden blonde locks lifted, the feeling all but unnerving when they melded together and became the serpents she both loved and despised.
“Oh, my darlings,” she whispered, practically hissed. A poor try at recovering her bearings. “You won't believe the gall of that man…”
No one dared draw near Camilla, especially not with her serpents around. Eye contact became something to avoid, and any greetings from friends were all but brief — no matter her efforts, Camilla couldn't help but tempt fear into the hearts of her peers.
She grit her teeth as she entered the comfort of her bedchambers. One of her many ways of relaxing was to hold one of her rifles.
Not shooting it, not loading it with ammunition, not even toying around with it… All she had to do was just hold it. And she felt content.
But a plethora of thoughts came to mind. Many of them unwanted, particularly in the topic of impassive little Mitch; A man who wasn't quite so little.
Camilla laid down on her bed, wrapping a blanket around and curling up pathetically — repeating the same words in her head like it was some mantra.
I am not a jealous girl.
•𓆙°─────────°𓆙•
She wasn't jealous!!
Camilla was a lot of things: Hypocritical, cunning, a bit too persistent for comfort, but not jealous!
With a need to blow off steam after that encounter with Neige and Mr. “I must decline your offer”, Camilla went to the beach that stood near RSA’s campus building.
With her pistols in hand, she swung and spun them around between her fingers — taking deep and heavy breaths to allow a sense of calm to wash over her.
That was when she began firing shots.
There wasn't much land or transportation near Sage Island. It was one of the reasons why Camilla was being so careless about where she was shooting.
However, when the sounds of footsteps over the sand drew near, Camilla pointed one of her guns at whoever dared approach her.
Mitch stopped in his tracks, an unsurprising face of neutrality as Camilla pointed her gun at him; A lack of fear at the possibility she'd get pissed off just from looking at him and pull the trigger.
“What are you doing here?” Camilla forced the words to come out.
“I could ask you the same thing,” said Mitch, “Isn't it unsafe for you to be firing those shots so carelessly?”
His tone was so matter-of-fact it made her want to hurl. “There's nothing and no one nearby. What am I gonna shoot? The seagulls?”
“You could if you were sufficiently motivated enough.”
“Don't test my patience, Mitch.”
“And,” Mitch continued, lowering her gun and taking another step towards her, “I don't remember us being on a first-name basis.”
“I don't remember you having the privilege of interrupting me while I was blowing off steam, but I'm not making any remarks, am I?”
“It sounds like you are.”
Camilla scoffed, putting one pistol into the holster to give Mitch a dismissive wave of her hand.
Mitch had a lot of opinions about Camilla Marigold — some good, many of them bad. But one of her key figures of interest was…
Well, she was pretty. Not even someone like Mitch could deny something like that. Especially not when her golden hair seemed to glow under the light of the sunset.
Whatever blabber Camilla was saying, Mitch couldn't hear it. He didn't feel the need to. Not with the way she stood there so horribly prettily with her shining hair blowing in the wind.
It was an oddly specific, yet significantly romantic setting. The kind of scenario Mitch refused to bring up in whatever conversation he was having with her.
“... You said you were blowing off steam?”
Her ramblings fell short at his words, and they both stared at each other for longer than what seemed necessary.
She coughed, avoiding his attentive gaze. “Yeah… Why, you got a problem with that?”
Mitch huffed. “I don't.” He then looked down at the ground, at the soft sand beneath them, before looking up once more.
“... May I?” He reached out to gently touch her face, tucking her blonde hair behind her ear.
Camilla felt heat rise from her neck up to the tip of her head. “W-What are you doing??” She nearly stumbled as she stepped back.
“Apologies,” Mitch said briefly, “but I asked you a question?”
“Well sorry, Mr. Personal Space, but I didn't quite follow.”
Silence soon fell upon them yet again, lasting far longer than it did before. So unnerving even with the contrived peacefulness of it all.
Camilla pouted. Both her pistols were in their respective holsters, her arms folded over her chest. “Well?”
Mitch’s eyes flickered their attention between her, her eyes, and the pistols safely tucked into their holsters.
He said nothing for a long while, doing nothing but gaze at her with that attentive, almost lost look in his eyes.
He gestured to one of her pistols. And when she — very cautiously — handed one of them to him, he aimed at the far distance.
“... Would you allow me the honor of joining you?”

46 - Looking out for Others
Tumblr media
Part 47
Family is More than Blood
@secretdreamlandmentality
Opening the front door of the mansion I handed the driver some money, shutting the door after he handed me my bag of Buffalo Wild Wings food. Plopping the bag on the kitchen table I took out my container going to town on some boneless wings until I heard Klaus vamp downstairs finding me. “If you wanted food you could have just told me and I would have hired a chef.”
“I appreciate the thought but I’ve been craving buffalo chicken for the past few days. I couldn’t wait any longer.” I shrugged my shoulders, tearing out a bite of chicken.
He clicked his tongue standing at the edge of the table. “Well if you want more anytime just use my card.”
“Yeah about that…I already did.” Reaching into my pocket I held the card between my thumb and index finger, tossing it towards him he caught it quickly in his palm.
Klaus slipped it back in his back pocket. “You’re lucky I like you.”
I sent him a smile thinking about what he just said. I knew he cared about me that much was obvious. Yet there were still small moments lately where I questioned why he was with me. “Nik, why are you still with me?”
“Raelyn..” Klaus sent me a grumble under his breath.
I lowered my gaze while talking. “I know you despise the question but things are changing with me recently. I keep puking almost every morning. My stomach has been getting bigger and I am craving some weird things. I’m just worried again.”
“You don’t have to worry about how I feel about you. I’ve told you how much I love you, Rae.” He rounds the table sitting down across from me in one of the chairs.
Turning my head in his direction I finished off one of my wings, moving my attention away from the others. “I love you too, Nik. It’s difficult to ignore the reality that you might want someone else down the road.”
“I’ve been around a thousand years, Raelyn. Nobody else in the world will compare to you. In fact my offer still stands if you wish to have me turn you now.” Klaus reached across the table grasping my hand in his.
Squeezing his hand in mine I grinned back. “Awe Nik. When I’m ready you’ll now.”
“Until that day comes I’ll have to show you how much you mean to me the only way I know how.” Klaus rose to his feet tugging me up to stand with him. Our eyes focused on the other before he snatched a hold of my thighs when I jumped up and wrapped them around his waist.
Wrapping my arms around his neck I giggled nuzzling my nose against his. “I like where this is going, Nik.”
“You won’t be disappointed over what comes next.” He smirked, vamping me upstairs with my back hitting the mattress. He tore my clothes in half and I did the same with what he had on knowing full well we wouldn't leave the mansion until he had made love to me in…every room.
Sitting on the edge of the bed with my knees hugging against my chest I dialed the first number I could think of. “Cami, I need your help.”
“What do you need, Rae?” She asked and I could hear loud music and multiple heartbeats in the background meaning she was working at the bar currently.
I ran a hand through my hair eyeing where the dagger was on the floor before Lizzie took it. She and Klaus had gone off to see what she was talking about in regards to Andrea and some guys at Mystic High leaving me on my own like earlier. “I need you to destroy something for me when I find out where they have hidden it.”
“What are you wanting to hide?” The former human asked me.
“The hunting dagger that contains my magic after I put it away.”
She was rather confused now. “How am I supposed to destroy something like that?”
“I don’t know..use your dark objects or something. Ask Vincent or Davina maybe they’ll know. I just need it to be gone for good since all it has brought me nothing but heartache.” I nearly shouted into the phone.
Cami turned the phone on video call. “Raelyn, can I say something? Your magic isn’t something to fear. It’s a part of who you are as a person.”
“Klaus has said the same thing. I just can’t take the risk anymore, especially since it may have just cost me my relationship with my brother forever.” I explained to her.
She nodded in agreement even though she didn’t know what happened. “I’ll ask around. I just hope you think about it before I come to get it from you. I’ll talk to you later.” She hung up the call and I was left with my thoughts wondering how the conversation with Andrea went down with my husband and niece.
Andrea’s pov
Nothing was really interesting to me at the Salvatore school classes so I decided to snoop around the human high school. According to Ethan there were fun things about it but Landon said he hated it because he was bullied. Walking across the football field I saw that it was gym class and I recognized my cousin Missy’s boyfriend. “Gotta go easy on that arm. Oh that’s right I need to. Unless you need a band-aid for that cut, qb none.”
“Oh knock it off, Dennis.” Ethan stopped doing some push ups glaring at the tan skinned boy. “We can’t all go 12 seasons without taking a snap like you.”
Dennis passed his push ups too, getting to his feet. “It’s only been 3. “
“Who am I to question your math?” Ethan began walking away while I made my way to the end of the bleachers to call his attention to me.
Dennis had other plans apparently. “Yeah bail. Like you bailed on the team. I guess that troubled rich girlfriend must be damn good in bed since you’re always running off with her.”
“What did you say about her?” Ethan halted in his tracks and I gasped clutching my hands to my sides about what he just said.
Dennis got up in face with a jockey smirk crossing his face. “I was thinking lately about seeing if she was interested in somebody better. Cause I know I could show your girl a fun night.”
“You asshole!” Ethan growls running towards him and tackling him to the turf getting into a fist fight with the jock.
Leaning my back against the wall I just watched from the sidelines watching the two boys fight. The gym coach attempted to stop it but they weren’t backing down. “I can’t somebody would say that about Missy. Ethan!” I hollered his name seeing that Dennis was behind him when he had gotten to his feet where he was tackled to the dirt.
“You’re girl won’t think you’re so great once she knows you lost to the next QB.” Dennis said, holding Ethan down with his elbow pressing down into his spine.
Ethan grumbled about not being strong enough to push him off. “Shut up, Dennis. Missy would never be with someone like you.”
“And how do you know that former QB?” He teased him.
Raising my hand I muttered a spell freezing everything around them before I walked up to Dennis throwing him onto his back away from my cousin’s boyfriend. “Immobilus….mitte.”
“Bitch! What the hell did you just do!” Dennis scooted away from me when I stood above him with a glare.
Crossing my arms over my chest I huffed at the simple human boy. “Threw you on your ass for talking bad about my cousin, that's what happened.”
“Andrea, I’m okay. He’s a jerk so let’s just go.” Ethan forced himself to his feet touching my forearm.
Shaking my head no I saw Dennis coming to charge at me but I just laughed in my head holding a hand over his chest. “You are such an idiot. Invidia.”
“Ah!” Dennis grabbed his head in agony.
Someone called my name causing me to turn my head in the opposite direction and Ethan followed the same action seeing my Uncle Klaus and Lizzie coming over our direction rather quickly. “Andrea!”
“What are you two doing here?” I spat in an annoyed tone.
Lizzie sent me a half glare. “I needed to make sure you weren’t being dumb enough to fall for one of these jock assholes. Not you Ethan obviously.”
“Uh thanks Lizzie.” Ethan replied simply.
She nodded with Uncle Klaus eyeing the boy who was laying on the ground in pain since I hadn’t lowered my hand stopping the spell. “Andrea, I think you’ve tortured the boy enough.”
“Even if he was saying that he thinks your daughter might be a slut if she’s sleeping with Ethan.” I pointed out knowing that Ethan and Missy had never slept with each other but it would get him on my side.
Uncle Klaus didn’t waste time yanking the boy up by his sweatshirt and vamped him into the nearest wall. “You think that you are worthy of my daughter, you have another thing coming. If you say another thing about her I will rip your heart from your chest!” He held him by the throat and his hybrid face was in view.
Lizzie warned him seeing that the coach and the others were frozen. “You need to make him forget before he comes asking questions.”
“Alright I’ve got it handled, Elizabeth. You will forget anything strange you’ve seen today but remember my warning very clearly.” Klaus released him coming back to the three of us, leaving us in a quick flash. “Get back to the school without causing more trouble.”
Lizzie watched Ethan looking at me. “Thanks for saving me back there. Nobody should talk about Missy like that.”
“Yeah she’s one of the sweetest people I know. I’m just happy to see she’s dating a good guy like you.” I grinned at the human with Lizzie turning back towards the parking lot and heading back to the Salvatore School.
