I feel this. My family spent most of my high school years travelling around in our motor home, and we determined that campfire smoke would inevitably follow the person most sensitive to it. If my grandmother was with us, it would aim for her; if she went inside, it would aim for me; if I went inside, it would follow my mother.

the harmonia kids essentially think of smoke as another sibling, but they can't consciously acknowledge it because ghetsis put so much emphasis on pokemon being too irreconcilably different from humans to live alongside them and they formed their conscious opinions on smoke during that time
