I'm struggling to LIKE Callie. I think the fandom needs to chill on "you can't like Calzona if you don't like Callie." I enjoy Calzona fan fiction, I rewatch Grey's just for them and I follow artists like you. I liked Callie when I first watched Grey's 5 years ago. I really, really did. But as the years went on and I've REALLY thought about the two of them, I'm struggling to maintain the love for Callie. Let's normalize not really liking one half of the ship but still enjoying the ship as a whole.
Thoughts?
hm i kind of disagree. i don’t think you have to love both of them, and i think it’s totally fair to be critical of characters. but i also think, and maybe this is more important for writers, you have to like them both, not necessarily equally. again, i think it’s great to be more critical of characters, esp when they’re very protected by the fandom, but i’ve noticed a trend in this fandom to openly dislike either arizona or callie. and that sort of confuses me, bc how can you love a ship when you openly dislike one character? that’s just my perspective and i’m not here to dictate how anyone goes about anything. i’ve just seen a lot of negativity about each and i’ve received a fair number of comments either praising or bashing me for being harsh on one or the other. it’s really not something i’ve ever encountered in other fandoms tbh.
i would say with callie in particular, i’ve certainly had moments where she isn’t the most likable. but personally, i actually think understanding callie as a far from perfect character has made me like her more. like she’s a very interesting blend of insecurity and confidence. figuring out callie’s negative traits makes her much more well rounded than her typical fandom portrayal and that’s made her more enjoyable for me.
but again, i think fandom is all about how you want to go about it and if that works for you, more power to you!

A promise of someday
Author: lilyme (aka. redslilstories aka. me ;)) Summary: They had learned new things, explored, and she could say for herself that she had rediscovered some things that she had loved and missed about herself. But now with a vision cleared from the fog of years of disagreements, fighting and pain, she had also gained some new perspective about what else she loved and missed. Pairing: Callie/Arizona Rating: PG Disclaimer: I do not own the characters in this story, nor do I own any rights to the television show “Grey’s Anatomy”. They were created by Shonda Rhimes and belong to her and the ABC network. No copyright infringement intended! All mistakes are mine.
A/N: Yet another story for Christmas! Enjoy!
It could have been awkward.
But they had decided not to let it.
And why should they?
In recent months they were getting along far better than in the years before.
And so the decision had been easily made.
Arizona had managed to get the days around Christmas off and thus had not sent Sofia to New York by herself, but had accompanied her to spend the holidays in the winter-y Big Apple as well.
Of course the little girl was over the moon about it. And even Callie was excited to have her over for a few days.
The brunette had to admit that New York could be a pretty lonely place. Especially since Sofia was staying with Arizona for the year, and also because her and Penny had not worked out the they she had hoped. At some point they had recognized that they were at different places in their lives and had decided to split up and remain friends instead.
But despite the fact that the end of her most recent relationship still saddened her, she was determined to not think about that for now…or the fact that she often found herself missing her life in Seattle. Because the most important factor… factors of her life were with her for Christmas. And there couldn’t be a better feeling.
The three of them had decorated the tree together – topped with a Christmas star Sofia had made in school and which luckily had survived the flight from Seattle to New York. And of course they had baked some cookies, visited the tree at Rockefeller Center – where Callie had enjoyed a good falling on her butt in the skating rink, much to Sofia and Arizona’s amusement - before heading home to enjoy a delicious home-cooked Christmas Eve meal.
Now it was the morning after, the big day, and most of the presents were unpacked.
Sofia had given her mothers handcrafted paperweights. Which were stones with molten crayon colors decorating them – Arizona’s more colorful and flowery, Callie’s with a more abstract pattern in fairly darker, not to say badass, tones. Also some bookmarks made out of felt and embroidered with notes saying ‘I love my Mom’. Additionally each had been given a little jar of carefully hand-picked pralines.
She in her turn had received a Barbie, equipped with astronaut gear, an ‘Operation’ game and a kids’ anatomy book, because right now she really wanted to be a doctor like her parents. But maybe she would switch back to wanting to be an astronaut when she grew up.
The biggest surprise, however, had been a photo camera the two women had picked out for her via various Skype sessions.
It was easy to handle and also fairly robust should it happen to experience a fall. And it could store up to a thousand pictures.
The first of which were already being made as Sofia walked around the apartment excitedly, capturing everything she could, her favorite being the view of early morning Central Park they had from up here.
Her parents let her be for the time being, they themselves not entirely done with exchanging gifts.
“So, I know you said I shouldn’t buy you anything, but you know that’s not an option for me,” Callie laughed as she retrieved a medium-sized box from its hiding spot in a drawer of her living room dresser and handed it to the blonde. Albeit being a last minute gift, it was no less thoughtful.
The blonde one accepted gift with a cheeky, “I know you wouldn’t be able to resist,” and opened the proffered item. She soon discovered that it contained a frilly Christmas sweater – in red, of course. Callie had always loved Arizona in red. And Arizona loved frilly, silly sweaters. The brunette remembered her having several of them she used to wear around the house and to the occasional informal party. And she loved this special holiday – well, in most years, anyway.
Accompanying the sweater was a box of Hershey’s kisses, because the blonde sweet tooth also had a fondness for those.
“Awww, thank you!” Arizona grinned, holding the sweater to her chest to get an idea how it’d look on her. “I have a feeling I will be wearing this for the remainder of our stay”.
“You better, “ Callie returned challengingly as her heart warmed at the joy she saw in the blue eyes. That’d be eight more days. It would be a difficult task and she doubted the blonde would really follow through with her announcement. But that was less relevant.
To her it was more important that Arizona completed her Christmas in a way she thought would be lost forever.
She still remembered their first Christmas together. She had worked the night shift on December 24th, which, with so many emergencies coming in had dragged into nearly a double shift to last until early afternoon. Putting a stop to their very mundane plans of Callie coming home on the 25th to wake Arizona and see what their respective Santa Baby had put under the tree for them before the blonde had to be at work at 9 am.
She had informed the blonde of this in an disappointed voice message. Stunned beyond belief when sometime in the early morning hours, just when she had retreated to an on-call room to get a couple of hours of rest, a blonde, dimpled figure with Christmas hat had snuck into said room to lay down beside her. Nothing much had happened, except for soft exchanges of ‘Merry Christmas’ and 'I love you’ before they had managed to catch a little sleep snuggled together before each getting back to work.
In that year they had exchanged their presents on the evening of Christmas Day. But it had been no less special than all the holidays that had followed. And definitely one she wouldn’t forget. Because it was spent with the love she would never forget.
“Uh, I hope Sofia hasn’t told you anything,” Arizona worried and Callie, being consumed by her thoughts, only now realized she had disappeared into the girl’s room and now quickly emerged with something held behind her back. “It’s nothing special. But I hope you like it,” she nodded as she sat down on the couch next to Callie again.
“You shouldn’t have…,” this one remarked with an amused pout, which was immediately countered by a look that clearly spoke, 'You neither’, and opened the box to reveal a beautiful little ensemble of woolen scarf, gloves and a bobble hat. Each item black with dark red trim.
Callie actually used to hate hats of any kind, insisting that her head simply wasn’t made for them. But moving to New York had taught her differently. That it was better to have your head and ears covered than to freeze yourself to death. Well, at least that was how Arizona had perceived some pictures she had from Sofia and Callie’s first winter in the Big Apple. And Callie - against all odds – could even wear a bobble and still look hardcore.
And overall… “I thought you’d look…”
’ Beautiful’, 'cute, 'amazing’.
… all of these fit Callie, Arizona wagered. But instead she said, “I thought it’d suit you”.
The brunette looked at her, and there was a hint of a smile, albeit sad, to be seen on the full lips. Arizona knew Callie had an idea of what she had intended to say. Even without actually producing her thoughts, the other woman could could still read her. Just like she could her. And so she could not miss Callie’s expression or what it might mean.
Was Callie having regrets about what had happened? About how they had ended? About moving across the country to be with a love that sadly hadn’t lasted? Was she struggling with the turn her life had taken?
She shouldn’t.
Arizona knew she had needed time to heal.
They both had needed that time.
And despite all the falls they both had had since then, it had done them good.
They had learned new things, explored, and Arizona could say for herself that she had rediscovered some things that she had loved and missed about herself. And she was certain Callie had similar experiences.
But now with a vision cleared from the fog of years of disagreements, fighting and pain, Arizona had also gained some new perspective about what else she loved and missed.
And it was Callie.
She could never not want Callie in her life. As more than Sofia’s mother and amazing friend.
She hoped someday it could happen.
“It’s good to keep you warm in frosty New York”.
Maybe not today or in the coming months.
“And, well, Seattle can get pretty cold too, if…”
'If you decide to come back someday’, Arizona thought and gave Callie an encouraging smile. She would be ready when Callie was. Welcoming her with open arms and an open heart.
She was not surprised when the brunette, “Thank you,” engulfed her in a grateful embrace that was about so much more than just the gift.
It was a promise of someday.
And each knew this time they’d be better.

I have a question for fic writers out there. I’ve read more fan fiction then actual books by this point and I’m just slightly confused by why some fic writers insist on not only mentioning it once but multiple times that there could be triggers in their fic. Like I get it I read the description I understand that it could be triggering but like I don’t need you to repete it 20 times. It actually can be quite annoying. Honestly most of the time that’s more triggering then anything that’s in the actual story.

I just wanna say a quick shout out to all the outstanding fanfic writers who write same sex couples, and therefore are referencing two different people using the same pronouns, and still have clear, flawless stories that flow well and you can tell which character is doing which action. Like it’s not something you always think about but that shit is hard! So just thank you

Hi! I hope you are well and healthy.
I am so sorry to cause any inconvenience, i am reaching out to ask you to ask your friend, author fluffycalzona, which wrote amazing fics of calzona, i had stumbled across her fics a few months ago (very late to the party, i know). And I would like to ask if the dropbox link of their deleted fics are still available? Because last i checked, the link’s broken.
Again, i apologize if i disturb you or being annoying. But maybe you’d have a clue as to where should I download their deleted fics? Because i’ve been dealing with pretty hard stuffs during pandemic, and calzona stories are one of those things that keep me sane.
Thank you! Thank you in advance for your attention and help. Stay healthy xx
I wonder if people who write these asks ever stop for a minute to think about how they might make me feel. Yes, Fluffycalzona and I were friends. No, we are not anymore. I don't have any way to reach her (or donteatblue, for that matter) anymore. I am not them. They are not me. I understand that their stories were very popular. I enjoyed them as well. But I also, even more so, enjoyed them as people. And that is gone now. And every time you or someone else sends an ask like this, I'm reminded that it's gone now.
Here are the answers to all of the dozens of questions I've been asked over the years:
1. No, I cannot and will not give you a copy of Calzona DC, USS Calzona, Once Upon a Calzona, or any other story written in full or in part by fluffycalzona. She deleted them for a reason and anyone who shares a copy with you is going against her explicit wish not to have them distributed anymore.
2. I'll never update The Seventh Wife, because it's not my fic. I know only a tiny bit more about it than you do.
3. No, I can't pass on a message to either fluffycalzona or donteatblue asking/begging/offering to pay them to come back.
4. No, I'm not still friends with either of them. They chose otherwise.
Also, this may surprise you to know, but I write my own fan fiction. But no one ever asks me about those.

rules: answer and tag 9 people you’d like to get to know better/catch up with
3 ships: god there’s so many that i could include in this but i’ll stick with the ships that sent me spiralling the most.
1) foxxay (misty x cordellia, ahs): i was quite honestly obsessed with them when i first watched coven and i think was the first ship i really invested in with reading fanction. misty disappearing at the end of coven literally killed me so when they brought her back for apocalypse and let them reunite i was SOBBING. they should have been together and you can’t tell me they weren’t in live when they look at each other like THAT.
Tumblr media
2) jemily (jj x emily, criminal minds): god i rewatched this series over lockdown and was reminded of just how much i adored them and how whipped i am for them. it’s the fact that aj and paget were of aware how many people shipped them and would just do little touches and hand holding to make us happy <33 i would still die for them and i’ll forever be heartbroken that they never made emily a lesbian.
Tumblr media
3) calzona (arizona x callie, greys anatomy): GOD I WANT TO SCREAM FROM THE ROOF TOPS ABOUT THESE TWO. this was the first proper wlw pairing i ever saw and along with ahs was the first bisexual & lesbian representation i ever saw on tv. i’ve lost count of how much fan fiction i’ve read and how many edits i watched. i’m still mad they never got their happy ending but god i love them and i’m literally so thankful for that ship.
Tumblr media
last song: everybody talks by neon trees <3 i was making an edit this morning that used this song; makes me ridiculously happy lmao
last movie: room (2015) with brie larson. i watched this for the first time since i saw it in the cinema and GOD i adore it. i cried so much which is why i hardly ever watch it but it’s a bloody incredible movie and if you can watch it (it’s on netflix) you really should. AND READ THE BOOK!!!! the most incredible story.
Tumblr media
last book: the price of salt/carol by patricia highsmith (1953). i FINALLY got around to reading this after wanting too forever. i find it hard to fall in love with books and finish them but i had no problem with this. it’s so beautiful and has so much more detail than the movie. therese’s train of thought, more detail about abby and her relationship with carol and so many SOFT MOMENTS from therese and carols road trip (foot wars under the table <33). i’m having to stop myself from reading this again because i literally just finished it last week but god i love it!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
currently watching: right this second?? i’m watching some old waterloo road episodes from season 3 for rachel mason (aka the best teacher waterloo road has ever had) <33 but generally? i’m struggling at the moment to sit through just one thing so i’m currently switching between the x files, dirty john and the walking dead (a rewatch because it’s basically halloween now)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
currently craving: honestly i haven’t stopped talking about autumn recently so i’ve been non stop craving a pumpkin spiced latte (very white girl of me i know) and mince pies 😌
well that was far longer than i intended it to be. i don’t have anyone to tag just do it if you want, it’s fun <33

sorry to just message you but are u still active in the calzona fandom/know any vanity fans who are? I really think someone needs to do something about the calzona story that has been taken by someone who didn’t write it and which is being reposted in ao3 but don’t even know where to start contacting the actual author.
Hey anon,
I am not active in the Calzona fandom and haven’t been for quite some time.
I assume you are referring to this fic, so I looked into things a bit further. The original story is written by a user called gauzepaws. They are no longer accessible on any platform, as far as I can tell, and all of their fanfiction work was removed from various hosting sites before 2015.
I am so proud to inform you that this creator went onto becoming a published author and their work is available for purchase on Amazon. This particular story is here (and there are a bunch more books, too!). Their moniker now is H.P. Munro.
I have personally commented on the reposted fic in question with this message:
So you are aware, this original story is no longer simply fanfiction that you are plagiarizing. Gauzepaws removed all of their fanfiction work from various hosting sites before 2015 as they were beginning the journey of becoming a published novelist. A quick google search of the username will bring you to a livejournal post of someone looking for specific fic and gauzepaws themself pointedly asking them not to seek out the work on any of the archived hosting lists.
Gauzepaws now writes under the moniker H.P. Munro and four books from this series - including this one - are available for purchase on Amazon. Stars Collide was a Finalist in 2015 for GCLS Traditional Contemporary Romance. Supporting lesbian fiction authors should be a cornerstone of any wlw writing community and I implore everyone who’s enjoyed the concept of this story to access the content from the original source.
Reposting this work, even with the very minor credit to gauzepaws in your disclaimer, isn’t a flattering act like you may think. As a writer yourself, I’m sure you’re aware of the hours upon hours of time that go into creating any piece, never mind the months on end of commitment and discipline. But above all that, you’re now infringing on copyright laws.
I’d recommend removing this work from the site and keeping future rewrites of fics you’ve enjoyed from past fandoms to yourself.
There are creators in this Vanity fandom, too, who have removed their work from hosting sites so that they may publish in the future. Missing a writer’s words is one thing, but infringing on their rights as the creator of that content so that you may continue to enjoy their work for free isn’t cool.
Hopefully a bit of light shined on this will help to remedy the situation in the best possible way. Thank you for messaging me about it.
Edit: I mistakenly said that the other novels available are from this series. I was incorrect. This book is a standalone, there are two from the Grace Falls series, and one historical romance novel on their author page on Amazon.

@laok, it’s not a devastating story like Bone Deep or anything like that. it’s just heavy bc it deals w SA. but imo it’s a beautiful story and the relationship between Calzona is the realest, deepest and just most beautiful thing i have read in fan fiction. I’m tearing up at how soft and loving our ladies are wow i love them so much.
This life and the next is the most beautiful super au Calzona fic, whereas Little Earthquakes is the most beautiful semi au fic. I would really really strongly urge you to read it and I hope that kind anon drops a link. I might just cry at that
Ok ok you’ve sold it to me, I’ll stick it on my list and let you know once I read it!!

Santa's Helper
Author: lilyme (aka. redslilstories aka. me ;)) Summary: The earth was so big that Santa could not possibly visit every child himself. Even if he really, really wanted to. And so he had his helpers. And an extra special helper would come visit two no less special girls this Christmas. Characters: Callie, Arizona, Sofia Rating: PG Disclaimer: I do not own the characters in this story, nor do I own any rights to the television show “Grey’s Anatomy”. They were created by Shonda Rhimes and belong to her and the ABC network. No copyright infringement intended! All mistakes are mine.
A/N: Merry Christmas!
“Are you excited yet?” Arizona, still dressed in her pajamas – for this time of year one with snowflakes on them – asked her seven year-old, as they walked down the hall of their house together.
“Yes,” Sofia, in her turn wearing her favorite reindeer pajama, answered a little reluctantly, and her mother’s ears easily picked up on it.
She could understand it.
It was Christmas, the most festive time of year, and the time to be happy and celebrate with your loved ones.
Yet… somehow this holiday did not feel whole this year.
While the little girl really loved spending Christmas with Arizona and all her Seattle friends - baking cookies, decorating the house, buying presents and even enjoying a snowball fight in the little snow that had already fallen - there were moments when she became sad. Because one person she really wanted to be with right now wasn’t here today. Her Mama Callie.
Yes, the little girl was sadly used to not having both her parents together for the holidays. Had celebrated separately with each for years. And had managed to enjoy every Christmas, regardless of missing one half of her family.
But this year… it felt wrong. Because it really didn’t have to be this way.
“I know it’s not how you imagined it, sweetie,” Mami Arizona empathized with her, rubbing the little brunette’s shoulder affectionately, as they descended the stairs. “But just wait and see what Santa will bring this year. I bet it’s just what you wanted,” she nodded encouragingly.
At the mention of Santa, Sofia’s face took on a less sad look, “The real one from North Pole?” she smiled conspiratorially. Because she knew something about Santa. Had figured it out years ago, but only last year had dared to let her mother in on this secret.
Santa … was actually several people it seemed. And not only that. They all were people she knew.
When she was five, she had spotted Uncle Alex’ watch on Santa’s wrist. For the second year in a row. And last year a slightly askew beard had given away the jolly man as Andrew.
Approaching her mother to talk about her suspicions, Arizona had confirmed a with wistful smile that it wasn’t the real Santa that had come to visit her in the last years. Which considering how many people were on this earth was actually impossible, the blonde had explained. The mysterious man would have to be every at once.
And she had then let Sofia in on the secret on why all the Santas that had visited her so far did indeed look so familiar.
Because Santa was a very busy man and the earth was so big, he could not possibly visit every child personally. Even if he really, really wanted to.
So, every year he went on the lookout for people to help him around the holidays. Help distribute the gifts and send his love to the kids.
They were his helpers. He had a whole army of them. The traditional Santa suit was not a must, however. A Santa hat, reindeer antlers or simply a festive outfit were okay as well.
But not any person could be his helper.
It had to be someone special. Someone he trusted very much and knew had a good heart and who genuinely cared about the person who would receive presents from them. A sibling, a friend, a parent…
Being chosen as a helper was an honor, really. And Sofia hoped that when she grew up, she would be chosen as a helper too.
“Well, no,” Arizona grinned along as she crouched down to be on eye-level with Sofia, happy to see her daughter more upbeat again. Eventually Sofia would figure out the entire truth, but this was still better than outright telling her that Santa did not exist. It was better because it put a smile on her face. And Arizona hoped that wouldn’t change for the remainder of the holidays. She was actually positive it wouldn’t. “I bet he’s sorry he couldn’t make it. But I’m sure he sent you his extra special helper this year,” she gleamed.
“Extra special?” Sofia’s eyes grew wide with excitement.
“Really extra special!” the blonde agreed and kissed her cheek, before getting up again. “Do we wanna let them in?” she wondered, as they turned towards the front door of the house. “Santa’s helper must be getting cold outside. And they’re probably dying to give you all your presents”.
When nothing stirred outside, she raised her voice and repeated, “I said, they must be dying to give you your presents!”
And moments later, the door opened to let in a figure in Santa gear - from the fuzzy hat to the red suit to the heavy black boots, with a jute sack hoisted on the back, which surely held several the eagerly awaited goods.
The only thing missing… was the white beard.
And so it was not just the “Ho, ho, ho!” in an all to familiar voice that gave the true identity of this year’s helper away easily.
“Mama!?” Sofia shouted incredulously and ran towards the laughing woman, who had barely enough time to put the rather heavy bag of gifts to the ground before the little brunette engulfed her in a tight hug. Unbelievably tight for such a tiny person. “You’re here! And you’re one of Santa’s helpers!” she whispered in awe.
“Hi, sweetie,” the brunette nodded with a grin at the girl’s remark. She knew all about the tale Arizona had cooked up and loved every bit of it. “Of course I am here!” she added and leaned down to kiss her daughter. Do you really think I’d miss the chance to spend Christmas with my girl?“
She almost would have missed it with work tying her down in New York. Which was the reason why they had decided that Sofia should stay in Seattle for Christmas this year, even though she had been scheduled to be in The Big Apple for this holiday – as was the case for school years she spent in Seattle and vice versa.
They had figured what good would it be for the girl to hardly see her mother while this one was stuck at the hospital most of the time. And so they had changed their plans.
Which had had Sofia understandably distressed and Callie glad for some recent developments in their lives. Because this would be the last Christmas spent thousands of miles apart.
Or it would have been, if it hadn’t been for her boss at New York City Hospital. He had surprisingly told her three days ago that there were capacities to give her the time between Christmas and New Year off after all.
She had been over the moon, and had even handled the hectic search for a last minute plane ticket to Seattle in stride. The joy outweighing the stress of this venture by far. And the overnight flight on Christmas Eve had given her enough time to rest and plan her surprise visit with Arizona happily digging up the Santa suit she still had from Alex’ and Andrew’s stints.
It was way too big on Callie, but she did not care one bit. What was more important for her was being with Sofia for the holidays and spending much missed time with her.
And aside from spending time with her mine me, there was also another really special girl whom she longed to see right now. One she had deep down missed all the time they had been apart. And now was so happy to call hers again.
The girl in question walked up to them and joined in on the embrace. “Hey, you,” she chuckled and kissed Callie on the unobstructed lips. “What happened to your beard?” she wondered in amusement, since when she had helped the brunette dress after her early morning arrival mere hours ago this one had still been part of the outfit.
Putting the costume on itself had been rather difficult. With several weeks of not having seen her in person, she had hardly managed to keep her hands on their actual task. Cuddling and kissing Callie, caressing and teasing her oh-so-soft skin… it had all been so irresistible.
But eventually they had managed to get Callie ready for the event.
“Too itchy,” this one confessed. “Plus, Sofia would have figured me out anyway,” she grinned. “And don’t pretend that you don’t like me better without it”.
“Agreed,” Arizona laughed and nuzzled her nose against Callie’s smooth cheek.
“Can we open the presents now?” Sofia asked after giving their parents a considerate amount of time to themselves. Sneakily she had extricated herself from the group hug and was on her way to drag the bag into the living room.
Truth be told, whatever gifts were hidden in the sack for her, they were almost unimportant. Well, really almost.
For her what counted was having both her mothers for Christmas.
And looking forward to all of them restarting their new, old family life in Seattle come next year.
END

My message to Jessica Capshaw/Arizona Robbins
I haven’t posted any long messages yet for Jessica/Arizona after the news popped and it has been days. I’m very busy with my finals that I couldn’t even stay on twitter for more than five minutes, so now that I have free time, I decided to wrote this message before I strangle my self again with my film, articles and research and other school works I have to finish before this semester ends.
I can still remember the very first time I saw Jessica Capshaw on my phone, it feels like it was yesterday. I remember being intrigue with this blonde, dimpled, blue eyed person that I had to google her. Shout out to Wikipedia, I realized she played a Lesbian Pediatric Surgeon in the hit TV Series Greys Anatomy. And out of curiosity, I watched Greys Anatomy season 5 episode 11, the first episode her character, Arizona Robbins walked in the Hallway of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital wearing this big smile on her face as well as her iconic heelys. And from that moment I know that I will admire her endlessly. When Calzona became a couple, I fell deeper in love with Arizona the same as Callie Torres. As the characters’ relationship blossom, my attachment to them became deep-rooted, the same way to Jessica and Sara.
I love Arizona Robbins so much, sometimes I forget that she’s just a fictional character. This bad ass healer of tiny humans won’t exist without you Jessica, and I can’t see anyone who can portray her but you. So Thank you very much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You changed my life by turning this character into life. You and your awesome portrayal of Arizona Robbins helps me, inspires me to be a better version of myself, to look at life with optimism, to treat people with kindness and respect, to work my butt off to achieve my dreams, to not be afraid to be who I really am, and to be a good man in a storm.
Despite this event, I'm still glad that I got a chance to witness Arizona Robbins' story, to see her walked in SGMW’s hallway lookin all glowy and shiny, how she fell in love, how she built her own family, how she became a great wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, and especially how she became a great surgeon, how she saves babies and children!
It hurts my heart to see you leave. But, you did great Jessica, you did it. You created a history, you changed people’s lives and perspective by telling Arizona’s story and you did it with ease, true commitment, justice, fierceness, braveness, and grace. I love you from the bottom of my heart, and forever will remember the character and the impact you made in the lives of million people around the globe especially the LGBTQ community, the People with disability, and the people who suffers from mental disorder. I hope that someday I could meet you, hug you and thank you personally. I may not see Arizona on my screen but she will stay forever in my heart and my memory along with the lessons I’ve learned from her .
Again, thank you, I love you. I will forever be your fan and continue to support you until the next chapter of your life.

You don't need to think hard to see Calzona together just believe after there sex scene in 11x05 they are still happy together none of these extra seasons ever happened its the best feeling if your a Calzona fan it shouldn't be hard to see any fictions you may read always replace their names with Callie and Arizona it will get easy.
It doesn’t matter though. I want CANON happily ever after. It’s what we deserve

Some fans hated Ariliza, rejoiced when MD& SS were not guesting in eps, fans who booed JCap @ Paley Fest & her excitement w/ new sl & scene partner. Relationships r life blood of GA, friend family romance, w/out them no good story for character u love. TPTB took away those stories, Arizona then had lot of nothing & now Capshaw is gone too. Something would have been a lot better than nothing
Yes, unfortunately characters can be considered expendable by TPTB if they don’t have anyone tethering them to the show. I know a lot of Calzona shippers wanted Arizona to be single because you don’t have to have a relationship to be happy. Which is true. But in the fictional world of television drama, relationships are pretty important. They affect a character’s screen time, their relevance, etc. I agree that Arizona didn’t need to be in a relationship to be happy, but unfortunately without one, the writers/show runners decided that she was expendable. There is so much story left to be told, but with no one (romantic or otherwise) tying her to the show, they found it easy to let her go.
