What's crazy and really shows off how impeccably awful this show managed to be is how DIFFERENT Anakin feels between the Kenobi show and the Ahsoka show, despite the fact that he's being played by the same actor probably within a year of each other if that.
And it's so clearly not the fault of the performer, Hayden Christensen is doing the absolute MOST to give an authentic and familiar performance of Anakin in the Ahsoka show and on a STRICTLY acting standpoint, I think he succeeds. People have pointed out that the Anakin that Hayden is playing in the flashbacks, despite being in the TCW costumes, does not at all feel like TCW Anakin. There's nothing suave or charming about him. When he tries to joke and Ahsoka pushes back against it, he immediately gets defensive, which is perhaps one of the most in-characters thing about the entire performance. And obviously his performance as Sith Anakin is pure perfection.
But it's not just the performance that creates a character. It's the way other people discuss the character, it's the way that character impacts the world around them, it's what we as the audience are allowed to see of them.
In the Obi-Wan show, Anakin at his best is still a whiny little asshole. In the flashback scene, he's arrogant, he's overconfident, he's a little bit of a bully, he's stubborn, and he's a sore loser. It's left a little ambiguous as to whether this scene was a true flashback or something Else, but the dialogue of the scene and who is currently "winning" the match clearly are intended to parallel what's going on in the actual plot between Obi-Wan and Anakin. Which means you can just as easily interpret this as saying that the whiny little asshole you remember from the prequels is still the person behind that mask. Yes, he's got a vocoder changing his voice into something more menacing, his expressions hidden behind an emotionless mask, but that whiny teenager is still calling the shots here. That's precisely what motivates him. Even if it's intended as a more legitimate flashback, that's supposed to be Anakin at his BEST and he's... whiny. He's arrogant. You can say he can grow out of it at this point and that's clearly what Obi-Wan believes in the moment, but the best he's got is... still this.
And he never grew out of it, he never left that arrogance and entitlement behind. He decided to let it define him instead. He might've had promise if he'd chosen to outgrow his more negative traits, but he didn't. He just stayed forever in the mindset of that annoying little 19 year old asshole.
And at his worst, Anakin's a literal unhinged MONSTER. He's casually walking by and murdering innocents just to get Obi-Wan's attention, he's stabbing Reva just because he can, he's ripping open ships, he's burning Obi-Wan alive out of vengeance. His face when that mask comes off has a manic GLEE as he talks about having "killed" himself just to try to manipulate Obi-Wan and the way he screams Obi-Wan's name at the end is so intensely disturbing. So many people saw that moment as Anakin having this moment of mindfulness, but I didn't see or hear a single sane moment in the entire scene. The whole thing is off-kilter and it feels pretty intentionally off-kilter, both in the writing and the acting and directing. Anakin's made his choice. This is it.
In the Kenobi show, Anakin might've once had promise. But he also had immense potential for monstrous evil, that was ALSO there as well. And whatever promise used to be there is now squandered in favor of the arrogance and cruelty and entitlement, which means that it's not worth Obi-Wan's time and effort and energy continuing to wonder what if about it. Because, quite honestly, it doesn't MATTER. Obi-Wan isn't fighting for Anakin anymore by the end. He's not fighting to destroy Anakin, but he's not fighting to save him, either. And the whole point of his relationships with Luke and Leia is that he has to learn to care about them for who THEY are rather than because he cared about their biological parents. He has to see them for who they've become and allow them to grow without worrying about how much like Anakin or Padme they might end up being. They're not Anakin and Padme, they're Luke and Leia, and his relationship with them is ultimately better for letting go of seeing them as anything other than who they actually are.
The people who were in charge of the Kenobi show clearly understood that in order for Obi-Wan to stand on his own as a main character of his own story, they needed to clearly differentiate him from Anakin and FREE him from Anakin. Yes, Obi-Wan is built to be Anakin's narrative foil and has been since day 1. Yes, Obi-Wan's story is very tied up in Anakin's. But this was OBI-WAN'S story and just for this one moment, they could let Obi-Wan be more than just someone who revolves around Anakin. He's his own person who makes his own connections and relationships that have nothing to do with Anakin and he only truly starts to feel like himself again when he walks away from Anakin and leaves him behind and accepts that Anakin has chosen to be someone that Obi-Wan cannot change. No one writing the Kenobi show wanted Obi-Wan to be more IMPORTANT to the narrative than Anakin, but they were able to allow Anakin to take a back seat so that Obi-Wan could actually grow and develop into his own character.
The same cannot be said for the Ahsoka show.
In the Ahsoka show, Anakin is portrayed IMMENSELY positively. At his best, Anakin is a wise powerful sage watching over someone he cares about and pushing her to be better. At his worst, he's... pushing her a little? They MENTION he's intense, and we see visions of him as a Sith, sure, but if that was Anakin at all, then it leaves you with the impression that he only pushed Ahsoka because he cared about her and she needed it and he was ultimately right to do so anyway. Was it tough? I guess, but nothing that would ultimately truly hurt her at all. Anakin's worst sins aren't touched on at all. Anakin is constantly remembered as someone who was GOOD without really acknowledging that while he might've been good at times, he wasn't always. Even when Ahsoka remembers him as a good master, he was still someone who believed in fascism and had massacred an entire village down to the last child. That person Ahsoka remembers was still a bad person and this show desperately wants you to forget that any of that is true about him.
And via proxies like Sabine and Ahsoka herself, this show DEFENDS Anakin's choices across the board. It's not even just that he was a good master, but that he ultimately did the RIGHT THING by choosing Padme over the galaxy because he did it out of "love," turning the genocide of the Jedi into something that was caused by their OWN failures instead of Anakin's failures.
There's zero recognition that Anakin was, ultimately, a failure. He was a failure as a Jedi, a failure as a master, a failure as a husband and a father, and a failure just as a generally good person. Anakin was a bad person who did bad things. Maybe he wasn't always, maybe he had his moments, fine, but overall? What's the legacy he leaves? What are people going to truly remember him for most? Despite his choice to save Luke in his last moments, his impact upon the galaxy is still a net negative.
And Ahsoka can have good memories of him and still recognize that Anakin's impact upon the galaxy was a bad one. She can choose to focus on the good memories she has without pretending like he was in actuality a good master who did nothing wrong. It's not like those two things can't co-exist and that is, in essence, exactly what Obi-Wan has to do. It's why he can say honestly and genuinely tell Leia at the end of the show that her father was "passionate, fearless, and forthright" even though just a day or so ago he'd accepted that Anakin himself had chosen to be an evil person now. He can remember Anakin as the friend he'd cared for AND recognize that the person Anakin is now is not that person anymore. Anakin NOW is evil, Anakin NOW doesn't deserve Obi-Wan's time or focus or grief, Anakin NOW needs to just be let go of. They aren't two separate people, obviously, but people do grow and change, and Obi-Wan once loved Anakin, but the boy Obi-Wan loved is gone because Anakin has chosen not to be that kind of person anymore. He's not kind, he's not compassionate, he's not merciful, or thoughtful or any of the good qualities he used to have. The Kenobi show forces both Obi-Wan and the audience to recognize that no matter how good someone might once have been, it's important to recognize when they're not acting like that person anymore and it's better to let them go and walk away.
And the reason Ahsoka can't do that is because the writers can't. The people in charge of writing Anakin in this show see him so differently than the people who wrote Kenobi. The the writers of the Ahsoka show, Anakin is "the greatest of all of the Jedi," not even just for raw power reasons, but because he understood what love was all about and felt it so deeply. So instead of that love twisting him and being in so many ways his greatest flaw, it turned into his greatest strength, something the Jedi just didn't understand. They're coming at Anakin from a WILDLY opposite direction here and so the way he gets depicted and spoken about comes across so unnervingly different.
You CAN see it as Ahsoka just... viewing Anakin differently. Obi-Wan knew Anakin as a child and was a Jedi Master before the betrayal, so he is more capable of viewing Anakin as the whole of what he was and letting him go. Whereas Ahsoka was a lot younger, she barely got any training before the betrayal, so her perspective on him is intensely skewed by this. She can't truly conceive of Anakin as both the good master she remembers AND the nightmare monster she knows he became, so she just... picks one. She chooses to see him as a good master and that's it. Nothing else he ever did matters. She never has to think about the genocide, the murders, the enslavement, the betrayals. He was a good master, and that's the end of the story. This is the best way she can learn to cope with this particular trauma is to just... ignore it and decide it didn't happen and so her version of Anakin is the ONLY version of Anakin.
But the narrative itself sort-of presents this as the honest truth of Anakin rather than just Ahsoka's perspective on the matter. It's not that Ahsoka just can't cope any other way, it's that this is, legitimately, who Anakin was. Anakin WAS a good master and the fact that he abandoned Ahsoka to die and tried to kill her and genocided her people and desecrated her home apparently doesn't change that at all. Because he did all of it for love. And the fact that Anakin was the "greatest of all the Jedi" because of this means that Ahsoka gets exalted even more so because of that.
But Obi-Wan doesn't need that. He doesn't need to be exalted as better than everyone else, he doesn't need to be made important by manipulating the narrative. He already IS important and the people writing his story know that. He's not important because he's better than Anakin, he's important just because he is. He's baked into this story and can't be removed from it without completely undoing it and telling a totally new story. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka are, in some ways, total opposites. Obi-Wan is a massively important character to the narrative who's never been the main character of his own story before the Kenobi show, while Ahsoka spent a long time as the main character of her story but has never and will never be that important to the narrative. She can be added to it and give some extra dimension to it, but she can be pretty easily removed from it, too.
And their relationships to Anakin in their respective shows seem to reflect the way the writers feel about those facts and their understanding of the characters themselves.

Hello angel face 🌷
I fell so head over heels in love with your writing ^-^
I was wondering if I could request a headcanon on dating Isaac from My life with the walter boys?
Sending you lots of love ♡
~ 🧸
dating isaac garcia headcanons
a/n: omg not you making me blush 🤭❤️ thank you so much ❤️❤️ and ofc! I really enjoyed writing this since Isaac is so asfjlskjk 😍 I hope you enjoy!
words: 1.4k
summary: what it would be like to date isaac garcia
• as we all know, Isaac is a total ladies man and he has girls all over town crushing on him
• but he's not searching for anything serious with any of them
• if he were to really get into a relationship, his girlfriend would have to stand out
• he wouldn't want to date someone who blindly falls for him without really knowing him
• he wants that slow-burn enemies to lovers typa shit 😌
• me personally I think Isaac would go for an outsider girl who's kinda mysterious
• also probably someone who has a good sense of style and an interest in fashion
• he wants a girl who doesn't just simply agree with everything he says or does, he wants her to call him out on his bullshit, scold him if he's being an asshole etc!
• bc even tho he loves all the attention he gets from girls and he loves when they swoon over him, that stuff can get boring real quick and he just wants someone to be real with him!
• when you first meet, you don't think much of Isaac
• you are of the opinion that he's arrogant af and extremely entitled
• he's the popular guy and you're just chilling with your small friend group, away from all the high school drama
• it's only when you're paired as lab partners in chemistry and have to sit next to each other that you're forced to talk more (forced proximity y'all 😌😌)
• you bicker for a few weeks, exchanging snarky comments
you: "you really have no idea what the periodic table is? fucking stupid ass himbo"
Isaac: "oh so you're saying I'm good looking? can't even insult me properly huh?"
you: "oh stfu"
• it's only until both of you burst out laughing at some stupid video the teacher showed you in class
• and both of you are looking at each other like ????
• "I didn't know you had a good sense of humor too?"
• then both of you find yourself more often than not laughing at the same things
• you start making jokes to each other in classes, still bickering with each other but the bickering turning more into play fighting??
• also now you don't despise having to work together as lab partners anymore
• sometimes you also purposely sit next to each other in different classes just because it's more fun together
• yet both of you would never admit that
• lots of people from school are surprised about your new acquaintance with Isaac bc what is this popular guy doing with this outsider girl?
• but Isaac doesn't care about what other people think bc you're actually really chill and fun to be around
• one day, Isaac decides he's sick of conversing with his admirers and finds that your bickering with him is far more interesting and also more intellectually stimulating (yes 😂) than just having a bunch of girls stare at him with heart eyes swooning over him and just nodding at everything he's saying
• so at lunch he goes over to your friend group's table (actually just you and your two friend's table 😌) and asks if he can sit with you
• your two friends are like : 🤨🤨🤨him?
• but you're like: nah nah guys he's cool
• so you guys are just chilling together for lunch and he realizes what he's been missing out on!!
• he actually gets along with you and your friends so well bc y'all are also fashion mfs like him and not football ppl like his other friends lmao (tho he mostly hangs out with his cousins)
• after lunch he asks you if you want to hang out after school sometime and chill just the two of you, which surprises you but ofc you say yes
• on your first hangout you go to get matcha 🍵 and talk about art (I could imagine that also being one of Isaac's interests) and fashion, also like your fav brands and stuff and how both of you want to model/design/study fashion etc. in your future
• you also deep talk about his dad a lil and how Isaac mostly grew up at the Walter's house bc his dad is in the army
• your hangouts get more frequent and soon you realize it's more than friendship for both of you and that you actually are like in love with each other
• both of you used to always chat during class and laugh together which you still do but now it's just with a little bit of tension and awkwardness bc you're now crushing on each other
"hahaha...yeah that was um... really funny😅haha"
• and somehow Isaac can't flirt with you like he does with other girls bc with the other girls it was never genuine, he didn't really care about them but with you it's like...
• he really likes you and he doesn't wanna f it up
• I think he would get a lil more touchy tho as he realizes he likes u
• for example: you're out at the cinema watching an indie movie together and he puts an arm around you
• you're like: you've never done that before 🤨🤨🤨
• but then you have to hide your blush bc omg!! 😳 he just put his arm around you
• I feel like Isaac is a scaredy cat so he tells you he loves you over text 😭
• he doesn't even tell you he likes you first, bro just goes all out with the L word
• you've just woken up, it's like 6am on a Sunday and you see a text from Isaac from like an hour ago 💀💀
• "I think I'm in love with you lmao"
• and you immediately call him bc wtf???
• you ask him: "is this one of your jokes?" bc ain't no way are you gonna confess too only to be told it's a prank
• "no, no... it's true"
• "and you decided to tell me this over text?? literally wtf Isaac"
• then you're silent for a while and just say "I can't believe I'm about to say this on the phone but...I feel the same"
• then you meet up that same day and the second you meet you're literally laughing saying: "literally wtf Isaac"
• "sorry I, uh.. didn't know how else to say it..", he says awkwardly, looking away bc he's blushingg
• "well, it's fine because.. I love you too"
• Isaac literally perks up even though you've already said you feel the same, it's different hearing you say it in front of him
• then you guys have your first kiss which is literally life changing for Isaac because so far he's only ever kissed girls like for fun and not because he's fallen for them
• so this is a very new experience for Isaac
• you show up as a couple at school the next day and walk the hallways holding hands 🫱🏻🫲🏼
• everybody is confused and asks Isaac: "really? her?"
• he answers: "yeah, why? she's cool af?? and I'm literally in love with her??!!"
• so let's talk about your relationship
• you both match fits often and are basically the most stylish couple at school
• you also go thrifting together!
• you guys have a very strong emotional bond and talk about anything and everything literally
• you're his rock and his best friend, he tells you everything
• and by that I mean literally everything
• he also tells you about every prank he plans / has done and he also tells you about the putting bleach in Jackie's shampoo bottle prank
• which you immediately scold him for bc why is he putting that poor girl through this when she's literally still adjusting to the new life in the Walter's house after having to leave her home because her parents died?
• at school you go to Jackie to apologize for Isaac's behavior and offer to help with her hair, which she gladly accepts
• this leads to you and Jackie becoming best friends and to her joining your little friend group with your 2 friends
• (you guys are a better influence on her than Skylar and Grace)
• you also get invited to Walter family events, for example Will's wedding or Thanksgiving
• you can be a bit shy so you always cling to Isaac and Jackie whenever you're there
• But Katherine makes you warm up quickly with her good-hearted nature and you find yourself feeling comfortable in the Walter's home pretty soon
• you get along with Lee pretty well and you just fit in perfectly with the whole bunch
• your parents also love him bc he's literally your prince charming 💕

Quirk Apprehension Test Arc
I think I am gonna go hardass Aizawa route, but one who treats his students equally. He'll still be an asshole, but I think I'm gonna set him up to get called out.
His introduction doesn't change much. He's still in his sleeping bag and still does the QAT instead of orientation. But he has the 1A do two separate tests; one to test their quirk usage and the other to test their physical ability. And he doesn't threaten to expel them (that was never a stipulation of the test), this is just a way for him to find out what needs to be worked on.
Izuku does well on the physical tests, but struggles a lot with the quirk tests. The ball scene still happens, but Aizawa a) doesn't threaten to expel Izuku and b) tears into Bakugou about using his quirk irresponsibly and against his classmates.
Class Ranking for Physical Test (the Quirk Test ranking stays the same):
Eijiro Kirishima
Mashirao Ojiro
Mezo Shoji
Rikido Sato
Tenya Iida
Mina Ashido
Shoto Todoroki
Katsuki Bakugou
Fumikage Tokoyami
Izuku Midoriya
Momo Yaoyorozu
Koji Koda
Tsuyu Asui
Denki Kaminari
Hanta Sero
Ochako Uraraka
Minoru Mineta
Toru Hagakure
Yuga Aoyama
Kyoka Jirou
So, the reason I had Aizawa do a physical test too is because I find it so weird how quirk oriented he is in canon. Someone who literally erases quirks and isn't given any physical advantage from his should be aware that a) heroes should be proficient without relying on a quirk and b) a strong quirk isn't needed to be an efficient hero. He should also have a distaste for people who are reckless with their quirks (which he does have for Izuku but not Bakugou?? Weird). This is where him being inconsistent really comes into play.
(It's like Horikoshi goes out of his way to have canon reinforce quirkism, it's weird)
Don't get me wrong, he's still an asshole. He still thinks Izuku was being lazy with his quirk and he still thinks that Izuku is also to blame for him and Bakugou's awful relationship. But he's way harder on Bakugou than in canon and disciplines him more. Like I said, he's going to get called out for his judgmental behavior and arrogance.
To add to this, Iida and Uraraka seeing Bakugou about to attack Izuku is the start to both of them really disliking him. Iida already didn't like him because of his feet on the desk (based Iida, I can't stand people who do this), but Uraraka, who grew up poor, can't stand his entitled and privileged attitude. She tries to see the good in everyone, but Bakugou makes it hard. She hates that he looks down on others and thinks he's better than everyone else. She would love to knock him down a few pegs.
(foreshadowing)
#mha rewrite#bnha critical#mha critical#anti aizawa shota#anti bakugou katsuki#quirk apprehension test#don't @ me for that mina placement#she's possibly the most agile in the class and she DANCES#i also tried to factor in how characters like shoto momo and bakugou rely on their quirk#which is why they're a lot lower than in the qat#kirishima's on top bc come on he literally has workout equipment in his room i don't think calling him the most physically fit is a stretc#i also firmly believe that jiro is physically the weakest in the class

I love the loss the writers gave Miguel! I'm gleeful about it.
Robby got a clean win against Miguel, coming back from 2-0. It was such a great upset, in sports terms. imo This win does prove that Robby is the better fighter between the two of them.
Miguel stakes his claim as an All-Valley Champion based on a dirty win against Robby. Miguel actually had to worsen Robby's injured arm between rounds in order to get that win because Robby had tied the match 2-2 with that injury.
Miguel assaulted Robby and forced him into the fight at school, in which Robby had to defend himself from a psycho who tackled him, choked him, tripped him from behind a pillar, kicked him into a balcony railing on purpose, taunted him about his loved ones not wanting him, and was going to break his arm for no reason at all, just because Robby was trying to save his own girlfriend who Miguel had kissed while she was drunk and so Miguel's girlfriend had gone on the warpath. Sure, Miguel "won"... a bully's win.
Miguel "won" the apartment fight that was straight up child abuse on Robby by Johnny. Freaking heartless pos Johnny stood over Robby, and he had to posture and accept that fight once Miguel, his bully who was proudly trained by Johnny, said that he wanted to fight. Then, the asshole bully gaslighted him after "winning" the fight, which the bully won because Robby had stopped fighting back. Miguel claimed that he didn't learn karate to hurt people. Then, what the freaking hell did Miguel just do? He just purposely used his karate to hurt Robby like he has wanted to since s1, before he would even consider being Robby's "friend". He also gaslit Robby about Robby's fight response at the end of his assault on Robby at school. ugh...
These were not clean wins!
If this match for captaincy is the capstone to the rivalry, which I don't think it is, I'm still all for it. Miguel, the narcissistic bully, deserved this hard loss. People can deny it all they want but, compared to the other kids, Miguel does have narcissistic traits. He's entitled, self-serving, lacks remorse, lacks empathy, lacks self-awareness, doesn't take accountability, frames himself as the "good guy", gaslights, is proud to achieve grandeur at others' expense, etc. I was so proud of Robby for calling out that Miguel framed him as the "bad guy" in his college essay. Miguel also later tried to manipulate Robby into believing that Miguel deserves to win captaincy. Kudos to Robby for regaining some of his strength and basically saying, "Fuck you, Miguel!" You go, kiddo! You deserve the world, way more than this crazy kid does.
Man, this win was so good! Robby got the clean win in the only fair fight between him and Miguel. And Robby deserved it! ❤️

I finished Harley Quinn, and I've got to rant about Kite Man for a second
(Harley Quinn spoilers and very very long and bitter hatred under the cut)
it fucking boggles my mind that Poison Ivy would go out with this rich, incompetent, ignorant, heteronormative, entitled, arrogant, borderline, if not outright, misogynistic trust fund child who is a massive cunt, and seemingly the antithesis of everything that she stands for
most of the time she seems to find his clumsy and ignorant conduct to be endearing, which is actually understandable, but beyond that and a positive review of the sex (I think I can't remember) it kind of seemed like she wasn't fully invested in their relationship
this isn't even a "she's out of his league" thing either, he is just genuinely a terrible terrible person, and I think many people give him far more credit than he deserves
putting aside his goofy kite motif, his naive demeanour, and his clumsy antics he just has a dull shitty personality
when they first met, Kite Man spent an entire evening making unwelcome advances on Ivy despite her clear and succinct rejections of every effort he made, stole from her, and then he took Ivy asking him for an emergency ride back to her apartment to literally save the lives of children that HE poisoned for no reason as not only validation of his relentless advances, but the beginning of what he believed to be a "date" in his deluded rotting brain
upon arriving at her apartment, unprompted, he disrobed and waited for her in her bedroom to have sex, and when Ivy asked him why, his response was along the lines of 'that's usually what happens after a great date when you go back to the girl's place'
Ivy was understandably upset by this, so what happened? what changed? in what mad world is this given any amount of consideration to even be tolerable, let alone acceptable behaviour?
"I'll do all the heavy lifting so you don't have to break a nail." fuck this twat he sucks, and this is only episode 2, the first fucking episode that he is in
"I'll protect us babe!" dude fuck right off she is literally the most powerful person in the room
"If my girlfriend sees me hanging out with you hot young coeds she is going to be green with envy." people still call women attending uni "coeds" that's fucking insane, someone just put me out of my fucking misery
HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HER FUCKING NAME! "Poison Gertrude Ivy" 0/3 fucker not even remotely close, and he doesn't learn her name until after the third fucking time he asks her to marry him
so what if it's played as a joke, it's still true
what am I missing here? why is this guy getting a pass, not just from Ivy, but from the fandom at large? why is there such widespread admiration of this asshole?
I tried watching the Kite Man spinoff show to figure out what people see in him, but it honestly just made him look even worse if that's possible, and while the entire show has not yet been released, it is set after the conclusion of Kite Man and Ivy's relationship so it's not even that relevant
if anyone from the Harley Quinn show deserves a spinoff it isn't this cunt
this shitty excuse of a human being maps out their entire future without consulting Ivy, self admittedly stalked her, constantly does things that she explicitly asks him not to do (admittedly Harley is also guilty of this), mansplains simple bullshit to her constantly, and takes not even the slightest bit of interest in anything remotely associated with Poison Ivy, he doesn't even really seem to know that much about her
on paper I can't see why the hell she even seems to like him at all seeing as she repeatedly rebuffed his initial unwelcome attempts to hit on her, was embarrassed to be seen in public with him, did not tell anybody she was dating him, constantly comments on how fucking stupid he is, rejected him every time he tried to take the next step in their relationship, and before they got together the nicest thing she had ever said to him was along the lines of, 'you're almost tolerable when you are completely silent' and yet in practice Ivy seems to be very loving and affectionate towards him, she even attributes her recent bout of happiness to him
yet Kite Man himself admits that he had to repeat every step of their relationship over and over and over again because she constantly rejected him at every turn
and she was the only one putting any effort into their relationship, always doing things to make him more comfortable or happy and in return occasionally getting a ride and that's it, he just breaks down and starts crying when anything doesn't go his way
Poison Ivy deserves so much better than this cunt who weaselled his way into her life, not the other way around
I saw something from a showrunner about how this iteration of Poison Ivy has self esteem issues that may have lead her to date someone who isn't worthy of her just because he was nice to her, but I don't see how he was nice to her
he's usually polite, sure, but he is super misogynistic, he asks her to drop her name to get things that he wants, he is super arrogant and full of himself, and he seems to objectify her every time he tries to give her a compliment
and that hardly explains why so many fans are all for this terrible relationship, normally supporting unhealthy relationships in media because you want to see them improve and evolve is fun, but this guy does not change, he doesn't even think that he needs to change
and I think most of the show's fans are for Harlivy, which is a relationship that isn't super healthy but is compelling and improving and is fun to root for, but why do I see so many people saying that the writers should have kept going with Kite Man and Ivy?
I don't think it's outright homophobia, or at least the majority isn't homophobia, but I just don't get it
now did Kite Man deserve to be cheated on? I don't think so, that's just a pretty shitty thing to do to someone, but why the fuck was he even here in the first place?
I guess the heart wants what the heart wants or she didn't think she deserved better or whatever, but fuck why does anyone tolerate this asshole? is incompetence really that charming?
maybe I just don't get it because I'm aroace, but regardless of what you think of the relationship or the character, Kite Man is undoubtably a shit person and a complete asshole, that doesn't make him a bad character, just a bad person, and I wish more people that liked him as a character would recognise that, it's fine to like characters that are bad people, but don't outright deny it
just my final thoughts, I would love to take this opportunity to assure all 0 readers that have made it this far that I am not genuinely upset and do not take issue with people that like a fictional character that I don't like ok thanks bye

Round 2
Propaganda why Dr. Gregory House is insufferable:
"Choses to make the people around him and himself miserable.
Makes patients take treatments or tests without their knowledge, and does the same to his employees
Doesn't believe in asexuality
Gave a deaf patient a hearing implant without their consent
Started to call a woman a "he" once he realized she was intersexual
Always makes sexual remarks to his female boss
Lowkey racist
Didn't want to give his condolences to his best friend after his girlfriend died accompanying a drunk House to his... house
More stuff I can't remember right now but I hate hate hate hate him"
"The whole point of the show is that this guy sucks as a person, knows it, is proud of it, and works to keep it that way. But he’s extremely competent. There is a reason fans call this show “Malpractice Hospital” and it’s this guy. Literally."
"Transphobic, intersexist, aphobic, etc. And I'm not entirely sure how to explain this but, while he is racist/homophobic/sexist, it's in a Liberal kind of way? Like I have a feeling the writers dont want you to think he's actually racist or homophobic because That's Bad, "he just makes those kinds of comments because he's edgy!!!" or whatever excuse people come up with. For a show that hates religion, they show more respect towards christianity than they do the "Trannies" or Asexuals they make fun of. Don't even get me started on his interpersonal skills."
"Self-centered, sometimes misogynistic, low-key racist sometimes, gives his patience treatment without their concent or knowledge, started to called a woman "he" after realizing she was intersex, doesn't believe in asexuality, crashed a car into his ex's house."
"the "he needs mouse bites to live" gif kinda sums it up. He's like Sherlock Holmes if he worked as doctor and prescribed nonsensical solutions to illnesses that always work. He also doesn't explain himself and bitches to his coworkers instead. Also an asshole in general."
Propaganda why Rachel Berry is insufferable:
"Literally the annoying theatre girl stereotype cranked up to the MAX. She's got that "takes everything too seriously, stick up her ass" thing that soooo many theatre kids have bit she's not just annoying she's a terrible person. She felt so threatened by a girl who wanted to join Glee being better than her that she sent her to a CRACK HOUSE for "auditions." She's like lowkey homophonic, transphobic, and racist too. "
"omg she acts so entitled and always gets what she wants even if others get put down and she NEVER PAYS FOR IT"
"Watched two episodes of glee. Two were enough. Everyone else was a bastard in at least a somewhat entertaining way but she singlehandedly ruined everything. If she went to my high school I'd probably bully her too and then she'd whine and throw a karen fit about how I'm literally just better than her. At least I don't need autotune lol."
"She constantly does weird and villainous stuff such as; sent someone to a crackhouse, accused a teacher of molestation coz she didn’t get a part in a musical, dropped out of glee club when she didn’t get a part, a black character (mercedes) asked if glee club could sing more songs by black artists and rachel said « it’s glee club, not krunk club », tried to hook up with a gay man who she also knew her best friend liked, cheated on finn with his best friend, also her bangs post s3 are a crime.
Despite all this she always acts like she’s hard done by and the victim, barely ever apologises or takes accountability for hurting people, and is treated like a sympathetic main character by the show. Not only is she insufferable, she’s a malicious manipulator glorified by the narrative"

I was delighted to learn that there was a crazy-girl Black Swan movie from before BLACK SWAN, and disappointed that it's exactly as mysogynistic, just in a much dumber way. We're all familiar with the John Hughes model of romance, in which girls who reject you just want you to be increasingly persistent and controlling--but there's a sort of kid brother to this framework, that says that when women reject you it's actually because they're literally fucking insane, and they need your help with that. In the movie ETOILE aka BALLET, Jennifer Connelly aka the most beautiful woman in the universe plays a ballerina whose psychotic obsession with Swan Lake interferes with her non-relationship with some little dweeb who decides he's entitled to her. The guy looks and kind of acts like the wormy new wave guy Chuck in RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (fig. 1), but in ROTLD that used car salesman suit is a joke so I don't know what the makers of ETOILE think I'm supposed to feel when I look at this asshole (fig. 2). Something positive, apparently. It's funny, in my life I live firmly in the Ugly Girl camp and I have all the usual neuroses about it, but certain situations unlock this protectiveness about beautiful women--case in point, watching this jerk kiss Jennifer Connelly. I mean if he were like Bud Cort or someone with that Funny Valentine quality, who is warm and charming, then it would be fine, but with this low-end cretin it's really like...sir, please back away from Jennifer Connelly. This is not for you.
In this movie Jennifer Connelly is frankly way too good for this guy, and if this were real life, it would make perfect sense that she's polite to him and then gives him the brush-off when he pushes his luck; but of course, in the fantasy world of this movie, the reason she rejects him is that she's fucking possessed or something and she's just waiting for him to rescue her from her feminine irrationality. This is extra funny because the script itself directly references the myth of Apollo and Daphne which is like the original version of this: Daphne just wants to be left alone, but Apollo assumes his advances are desirable no matter what she has to say about it; to get away from him she transforms into a tree, and he's so sad about it that he desecrates her corpse weaves a wreath from her leaves. This is really the ultimate reflection of a man refusing to believe that a particular hot chick really, genuinely doesn't want him, but ETOILE isn't capable of figuring out that subtext, so the guy just forces himself on Jennifer Connelly until she isn't "crazy" anymore. Bonus points for the scene where he repeatedly screams at her to stop dancing, because there's really no bigger threat to romance than a woman's career and personal interests.
I wish I could think of more examples of this trope, I know they're out there, and I did just see another one called FEMME FATALE where Lisa Zane marries Colin Firth and then "mysteriously" leaves him, so he has to go on this whole odyssey to retrieve her. This is a particularly funny example because Firth is mopey and boring and untalented and a bad listener and out of shape and a drag, and Zane is this turbulent sexpot who is making it really obvious that she's not satisfied with him right up to the point that she "strangely" vanishes. Spoilers ahead I guess but the first thing Firth finds out is that she was in some psychotic art film by a militant lesbian who she used to date...and still the spurned husband thinks, nah, it CAN'T be that I'm boring and sappy and self-centered and I ignore her needs, and it ALSO CAN'T be that maybe she secretly prefers girls or is, at the very least, way more sexually exotic than I am. There has to be some OTHER reason I got dumped, something that involves me pursuing this uninterested woman to the ends of the earth and forcing her to admit that she loves only me, forever. And the movie totally agrees with him: There's no moment where Colin Firth realizes that he misread all the evidence, or even that she's EVIL or just not who he thought she was or whatever. Instead what he finds out is that she's literally insane! She's a paranoid schizophrenic whose only valid choices of companion are her dad or, you guessed it, Colin Firth. When I saw this I thought wow, this movie has gone impossibly far out of its way to explain that when a woman rejects you, it's not because you're a dullard and a jerk, it's because she's dangerously crazy. Only an actual lunatic would turn down a catch like YOU.
Anyway I know I was just talking about not being pointlessly mean about movies in public, but all bets are off if the movie manages to say something this insulting. I am now done talking about this and I will leave you with this hilarious thumbnail from a YouTube clip of FEMME FATALE, which pretty well sums up the whole movie.

I've had this idea for a while and finally wanna share it 😈 (unedited)
So imagine Reader is tough and a little rude and a bit mean. She's pretty and cool and hangs out with the other populars. There aren't too many people she hangs out with or talks to. She definitely keeps that cool and mysterious air about her. Sometimes she takes part in the teasing, but for the most part she watches then says something about spending her time doing better things.
And she just so happens to be dating the school's number one asshole, Kyler Park.
They're seen around school with his arm slung around her. He's all brute force trying to impress her and pushing people around, but she's ill impressed by his methods and it gets old after a while. She doesn't think he's all that funny but he thinks he's hilarious, so she ends up rolling her eyes at him more often than not. He gets offended, they argue, she ends up walking away because he's unreasonable and entitled. He'll end up coming to her later and apologizing, but he never really means it and she knows it because he never knows what he's apologizing for. She never says she forgives him but they continue on as business as usual, at least until they have another fight.
One day Kyler is messing with Eli, shoving him around and calling him names. Reader is off to the side, waiting for him and his friends to finish being a bother. However, one of them ends up pushing Eli into her and making them fall. She groans and scoffs, Eli falling on top of her. Her boyfriend and his loser friends laugh and it makes her angry.
She shoves Eli off of her and she gets up to yell at Kyler. He's rolling his eyes and brushing her off, that is until she breaks up with him very very loudly.
"Aww c'mon, you don't mean that."
"Oh I mean it," she tells him.
He tries to tell her she's sorry, but she's not having it this time. She shoves him away from her when he tries to pull her into himself as a part of his apology. She stomps off in a huff.
"You'll come back to me, baby!" Kyler calls after her.
"Fuck off!" She yells back.
A few days later, she's hanging out in the library. All of a sudden, Eli comes up to her and interrupts her whilst she reads. She looks up, waits a moment for him to say something, then looks away when he doesn't. He stands there for a minute, second guessing himself, when she huffs and slams her book shut.
"Either say something or walk away."
He freaks out a little bit and blurts out, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to break you and Kyler up!"
The librarian just so happens to be passing by and shushes him, which makes him blush and bow his head in embarrassment.
Reader scoffs. "You didn't do such a thing."
He looks up at her, guilt ridden and puzzled. "But Kyler said-"
"Kyler's an idiot. The only person that ended our relationship was him," she tells Eli, the. Opens her book again. She rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "It should have ended a while ago if I'm being honest."
He's quiet for a moment, then sits across from her. He leans in and whispers because he's scared to be kicked out of the librarian if he's too loud again. "So why- why didn't you?"
She doesn't look up at him. "We accept the relationships we think we deserve or something like that..."
Eli stares at her, a little confused. Reader has always come off as the kind of girl that has always known what she wanted and when she wants it. A no bullshit kind of girl. So why settle for Kyler?
"Why?"
She glares at him. "I don't see a line of suitors waiting to get with me, do you?"
He shakes his head as if it were a real question.
"I'm not the first girl he charmed into being in a relationship with him, Hell, I hate admitting I fell for it. But it didn't take long for him to rear his ugly head," she tells him, hoping it will make him go away. It isn't as if she has any real friends she would tell all of this to anyway either, Yasmine and Moon pretty chummy with Kyler since they liked to make him do a lot of their heavy lifting - mostly Yasmine. "I don't really know why I stayed with him as long as I did... it's not like he was all that good at kissing or sex."
At the mention of sex, Eli's cheeks bloom bright red and he tries to hide it by dropping his head and retreating into his sweater. However, his interest is piqued and he's listening to her rant about her lousey sex life; about how Kyler is a selfish partner and never cared if she got off of not; about how he doesn't know how to use his dick.
"Anyone else could do better," she says and rolls her eyes. She looks at Eli and laughs. "Bet you could."
He looks up at her. "What- what's that's supposed to mean?"
She stares at him. "You don't exactly come off as the kind of guy that gets around."
His heart wants to crawl out of his throat, but he swallowed it back down. "I-I don't- I mean I, uh, I-"
She chuckles and leans over her book. "Relax, I'm just messing with you... You don't seem like the kind of guy that needs to sleep with everything that has a pulse. That's a compliment by the way."
He doesn't know whether to smile or hide. He blushes instead and casts his eyes down, unsure of what to say. The words kind of fall out. "Yeah, I guess... I mean, if I were lucky enough to get a girlfriend that doesn't pitty me... I wouldn't want anyone else..."
"That's all Kyler wanted," she says, sighing. She sits back with her arms crossed. "Sex and sex with other girls. Threesomes with chicks skinnier than me, always said they would be pretty good... like I was so awful that..."
She doesn't finish her sentence and shakes her head, as if to shoo the thoughts away.
"It's whatever," she huffs. She doesn't want to talk about how Kyler actually made her feel. It was never good. If anything, he made her feel inferior to other girls, but she acted like she was never bothered by such things. If she acted confident, than she wouldn't feel bad about herself. The line between fake confidence and real confidence was blurred and hard to find. The insecurity Kyler made her feel wasn't welcome anymore and wouldn't come back so long as he stayed away from her. And his jaw might stay intact too. "Did you have a point in coming over here other than stupidly apologizing for Kyler's idiocy?"
"Uh, well-" he stutters, staring at her wide eyed.
She smirks at him and stands up, walking over to his side of the table. Coming up behind him, she grabbed the back of his chair and leaned down to be level with him. Her breath caresses his neck and he freezes up, then shudders as her lips lightly drag along his ear.
"Or did you have some ulterior motive?" she whispers.
He looks at her, barely breathing. He feels his heart hammering in his chest and his face is on fire. He doesn't understand what she's doing or why, but he knows better than to question it. He's seen the way she makes guys bigger than him cry and he's been lucky enough to have never faced her wrath.
He's consumed by the sweet smell of her breath and how close she is to him. Then, suddenly, she's moving away and coming around to lean on the table's edge right beside him.
"You're not too bad on the eyes, ya know," she tells him.
He shakes his head, not believing her. "That's a lie..."
"Why? Because you have a scar? Who cares?"
"A lot of people do..."
"I think it's sexy."
His head whips up and he stares at her. She's fucking with him, right? Just saying that to get a reaction out of him. Why else would she say such a thing?
He lightly shakes his eyes and looks away from her, then bows his head.
"Don't believe me?" He doesn't answer her and she chuckles, shaking her head.
She takes a quick look around and sees no one else is around. They're in the back of the library, which is hardly inhabited by other students. She liked it because it was actually quiet and no one thought much to bother her back there.
Once she sees the coast is clear, she moves closer to Eli and throws a leg over him. She pushes him against the chair and seats herself on his lap, smirking as he looks up at her in pure shock. He tenses under her weight, stiff as a board as his arms hang by his sides. She rubs his shoulders, quietly teasing him for being tense while also hoping to actually make him relax.
"Wha-what are you doing?" he asks hurriedly.
She leans into him and whispers, "Showing you I'm no liar."
Then she kisses him, most prominently on his scar. He's too shocked to kiss back, but she pushes forward by bringing his upper lip into her mouth and sucking on it harshly. He moans in response and his hands finally lift up and come to rest on her waist. He pulls her closer as he kisses her back and makes her drop her full weight onto him, whereas she had been holding most of it off of him before. The kiss deepens from there and it's almost as if they aren't in the school library.
They make out for what feels like forever, at least to Eli. When Reader pulls away, he feels like he's been dropped back into reality after a thousand years have passed in a lightning strike of a second. Instead, it's only been a few minutes, a handful at most. She rubs her thumb over his scar as she stares at him, neither saying a word. Then she licks her lips and smiles at him, something mischievous and playful, but not mean.
"Let's get out of here," she says, standing up suddenly and grabbing her things. Her bag hangs off her shoulder and her book is gripps tight in her hand at her side. But he doesn't move, left staring at her, and she notices. "What? You've never skipped school before?"
He shook his head and she smirked, grabbing his wrist and pulling him to stand.
"Well, there's a first time for everything," she hums and starts leading him away.
They sneak out of the building and head for her car, but as they do they're greeted by a rowdy group from a few yards away. Kyler and his gang are standing not too far from them, watching as they walk into the parking lot. There's palpable shock in their systems as they watch the pair, but then Kyler cups his hands around his mouth to shout.
"Found a downgrade, did you, Reader?" he yells at her.
She lifts her arm and flips him off whilst still holding her book. Then she counters, "No, I just found a guy who looks better than you, is way smarter than you, and knows how to treat a girl! Unlike someone I know who has a dick the size of a shrimp!"
Hos friends all start laughing and asking Kyler if that's true, to which he obviously denies, but doesn't have anything to say back to Reader. Before he can think of something, she's throwing her stuff into her car and Eli is scrambling to get in too. When she climbs in, she puts a hand on his thigh and smirks.
"Don't worry about those numbskulls," she tells him, gently rubbing his thigh. "They've got nothing on us."
He nods slowly, more assured when she drives them out of there and Kyler is nothing more than a dot in her rear view mirrors. Though he has one question for her.
"Where are we going?"
She licks her lips. "My place."

I don't know that much about superboy so forgive me if this is a silly question but what's the deal with Magdalene Visaggio?
not a silly question, dw!! if you haven't read many kon comics it probably doesn't look particularly noteworthy but OOF. OOF.
the tl;dr of it: despite being paid to write him once, she also hasn't read kon comics and it really, really, really shows. i'm talking geoff johns levels of flagrant disregard for the existing character - maybe even worse than geoff? which i say only because i know geoff did read sb94 even if he didn't act like it. but that's off topic; this isn't a geoff hatepost. this is a magdalene hate post.
under a cut for length, lets goooo!
so we start out with her canonizing supermartian. already off on the wrong foot - that's a ship out of yja the tv show which is a completely separate continuity from main comics and a completely different kon than main continuity kon. despite supposedly knowing that, she still shoves them into a relationship in main continuity, despite them never having actually interacted on page in main continuity.
she then goes on to characterize kon as angry and entitled and uncaring, and also in high school again. not only does she directly contradict all of his preboot existing characterization (which is important because kon-el never got reset during flashpoint - he was in another universe and thus dodged that bullet. current kon-el is canonically the same kon-el as pre-flashpoint/postcrisis kon-el.), but also she directly contradicts both young justice (2019) and superboy: man of tomorrow, which are in current continuity, leading one to really wonder if she has read a single comic kon appeared in at all. it's also worth noting that the asshole with anger issues characterization is, once again, much truer to the young justice animated tv show than any comic kon.
also worth noting is that the infamous red hair dye streak? well, uh...
yeah..............
on her twitter, she once said something about kon-el not being a good name because it's "still a name someone else gave him", called him "the jason todd of the superfamily", and insisted that the meaning of a trans narrative is "burning down your life and reevaluating your place within it":
kon-el is a name gifted to him to signify his acceptance into his family (superboy (1994) #59) and he was so overjoyed to receive it that he cried. overall, the superfam are very supportive and loving, and introducing strife just to make him run off and live with jinny hex instead of them just because she thinks one can't transition and retain previous relationships is... not it, lol.
her pitch also contained some outrageously egregious christianity bullshit, like villains named "saint", "shepherd", and "savior", as well as direct comparisons between clark and jesus christ. this is... sorry i really just have to say this is Fucking Cringe. i guess the more polite way to put it would be "incredible gauche" (considering the jewish origins of the superfam) but i just can't call it anything else. This Fucking Sucks Dude. i won't even get into the weirdness about genetic bullshit she leans into by introducing kon's "brother" who's also part luthor, part superman, but "luthor-dominant" (lol?) (do you know how genes work even a little bit).
she has quoted the one panel from reign of the supermen where kon says "don't ever call me superboy" a few times, claiming it's the first thing he ever said and no one listened. to me this essentially reads as her going "i've read one of his appearances and i would like to throw out the like 200 issues of character development he had since then in favor of making him my own self-insert to explore MY transition and religious trauma".
basically she doesn't seem to know how to write a story that's not about herself. as a trans person with a positive relationship with my given name (because as a first-gen kid of two diasporic immigrants, it provides an important tie to my family's cultures, to me) and with trans friends who involved their parents in picking new names and so on and so forth, i honestly find it very reductive and white to insist there's only one trans narrative and only one good way for trans characters to be named. i also find her putting her own christian religious trauma into a superfam story off-putting and . well. fucking cringe. i understand and respect that that is her story, but it sure ain't universal and i won't be able to respect her as a writer until it becomes clear she gets that.
#answers#noon-shadows#i feel like i'm still forgetting something i wanted to mention which is ridiculous bc this is already so long#but oh well maybe if i remember i'll come back to add it!#kon

for someone who "loves and cares about Jensen" you sure seem to be pretty resolved to believe he is a shitty person.
a douchebag who lies about loving his spouse, a deadbeat father who doesn't give a shit about leaving his kids with an abusive woman, as long as he gets to be far away from her and keep his reputation intact.
a fucking asshole who would leave his fiance at the altar instead of talking about it like a freaking adult before things go too far.
i just don't get it! how can you stan a man that you think is a liar and a backstabber?
you think so low of him, despite of all the testimonies of people who actually know him, who agree that he's a humble guy with both feet on earth, a sweet and kind man who genuinely cares about other people.
but you rather believe he's a piece of garbage who doesn't care about his own children.
just admit you don't really like him and move on.
God, anon, you’re like a dog with a bone. Yeah, I got your asks—twice. You realize you are not entitled to my answer, right? No more than you are entitled to the anonymity of the asks (which I graciously allowed on for now).
But very well. Let’s talk, shall we? I really hope you’re ready for the answers. Because you won’t like them, I guarantee it.
First, I have never said he’s a “shitty person”. You did though! Way to infer the worst from what I written.
I never called him a “douchebag”. You did. I never called him a “deadbeat”. You did. Let’s get that clear right now. You are the one calling him this. Not me.
Yes, he is in fact lying about the stories with his wife. I do think he did care about Danneel at one point, but that affection vanished real fast when her true character came out. He’s staying with her for the kids; I imagine if he divorced her, people would call him a shitty person for ruining a marriage, etc. He wouldn’t be able to win with you all. Not one bit.
He isn’t leaving the kids alone with her though. There’s the housekeeper, gardener, more than likely one or two nannies (because Danneel has never parented alone, ever!). They’re safe as any child can be with that many adults. (And if they’re decent people, if Danneel actually harmed them, NDA or no NDA, they had better speak up!)
I never said he should’ve left Danneel at the alter with no explanation. The hell? Way to infer the worse without any reading comprehension. I did say he had cold feet and thought about not going through with it until his groomsman and his father talked him into it. (In the case of his father, essentially forced him to go through with it.)
I don’t think he’s a liar. I do believe he backstabbed Jared in regards to The Winchesters and am very disappointed in him over it. But that isn’t going to end my support for him.
As for his lying… I actually understand it. I don’t agree with it, but I do understand it. He believes that having a “wholesome family man image” is good for him in Hollywood. Some would agree—were he actually consistent and legitimate with it. He doesn’t even need to do a ton of outings with Danneel; just grab the kids and go to a local theme park. The local family park, for that matter. Hire a photographer to do candids, not posed pictures. Tell genuine stories at conventions, as the gaping holes in them are large enough to drive a semi through it.
As for having to constantly lie about Danneel… do you honestly think his stans would be okay with him calling a “bitch” and “awful wife”? I mean… really? No matter what, he’d be in a no-win situation there.
I don’t think low of him. You inferred that, once again. Instead of making it about Danneel—which every single damned post of mine has been about—you are making it about me and how you perceived/interpreted my writing to be.
In regards to the situation of his children, he’s actually in a rock and a hard place. If you think it’s that easy for a victim of abuse to divorce their abuser when children are involved, you are ridiculously ignorant and need to educate yourself. The worst time in an abuse situation is when the victim tries to leave—the risk of death jumps to 70%. If children are involved, murder-suicides can happen.
So sit the fuck down, quit misinterpreting what I’m saying, and stop thinking you are in any shape or form entitled to my answers.

for this ask game
hello!! I would love to hear the director's comment on If You Need To Be Mean, it's honestly one of the best snowjanus fanfic I've read to this day, and I would adore to hear your thoughts abt it bc honestly it lives in my mind rent free
AWWW thank you so much for the ask! I'm so happy you liked that fic because I was quite proud of how it turned out.
I really wanted to show how a lack of love from others can influence a person to read any sort of attention as love. Especially from the perspective of someone who was bullied in childhood and seen as undesirable because of their origin and also having an unstable home life. I think that can really lead to some unhealthy relationship dynamics.
In the flashback scene, I wanted to explore how Coriolanus was actually kind to Sejanus, even though he didn't understand why he was being helpful, while still being a haughty, entitled asshole. (ex. being shocked Sejanus didn't know who he was).
In the following scene, Sejanus is in a very dangerous mental state and is trying to latch on to anything he can in order to find a reason to stay alive when, in his eyes, he was better off dead. That person was Coriolanus Snow, and now Sejanus is doubly in debt to Coriolanus for saving his life.
Then, I have two juxtaposed scenes of Sejanus being incredibly happy and hopeful while being with Coriolanus and one of him at the hanging of Arlo Chance, where the realization that he is still an oppressor (despite his best efforts) sinks in and he becomes disillusioned to the happiness he felt on the train.
So then he's once again in limbo, trying to find a way to help while simultaneously knowing that he cannot truly aid those in the districts as a peacekeeper. And then there's Coriolanus, trying to keep him from doing anything "stupid" by manipulating him and making him feel like he mattered. Because for someone who'd been constantly rejected and made to feel lesser than, being used is better than being alone.
The shower scene is Sejanus's POV of my other fic Control and Its Many Forms, in which we see that Coriolanus doesn't love Sejanus (he doesn't like him at all) but he can't help his attraction. And therefore he goes through some Machiavellian mental gymnastics to convince himself that what they were doing was okay.
Then, after Billy Taupe and Mayfair die, we see Sejanus lose hope and touch with reality (ex. "He couldn’t move, he liked it like this. He didn’t want to move or think or do anything ever again.") He can't help D12, deep down he knows that Coriolanus doesn't love him/he's being used, and he's just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for him to get caught)
Then, we have his execution, where, despite displaying suicidal behaviors/thoughts previously, he is still terrified to die because he's only 18. And the last thing he calls for is his mother, the one person who loved him, because he was only 18 years old.

Ok I just need to blab about Dreaming of death and how the dehumanization is on full desplay ON BOTH SIDES because it's like a whole thing
Because I mean in prison, to Quackity, Dream still is a monster, still a threat something that needs to aton for it's crimes by being tortured(which does nothing to make a better tomorrow, all it does it hurt Dream and give Quackity catharsis) Dream doesn't have space to be a person to Quackity
And on the flip side to Dream, Quackity has hurt him too much, has hurt his loved ones too much for him to have the space of being person, to Dream, Quackity essentially becomes the same thing Dream is to Quackity, someone who must pay for all he's done to him and the people he loves
And it's always that they must pay in blood, I think they're almost static in each other's minds, the idea that the other could change isn't even a possibility (which I mean fair enough they have both done so much stuff that it's hard to think of them as fluid people)
And the thing is, yeah neither of them really change! They keep hurting each other! After Quackity is tortured by Dream, sure he doesn't go back to earth, but when Dream comes back to the smp to pick up his little sibling that Quackity oh so kindly(/s) dumped into the smp and ends up staying because Cryptid is having emotions™ about all of this and the idea of being confined to a house with only Wren a Dream makes them scared as fuck, you know that whole thing, when Quackity learns Dream is back in the smp, well, he tries to hire Punz to hunt him down which ya know... Uh he got scammed big time.
But my point is, his viewpoint on Dream, and how hostile, and how much he wants him dead, never change
And it's the same for Dream
Because you know, revenge is a cycle and nobody on this fucking smp knows how to call it quits besides the people who are literally from other worlds
It is actually a major facet of Cryptid's character though, the fact that they try to humanize everyone, they hate punitive justice so much, including when it's on people who they don't like, but you know they almost shoot themself in the foot about it because they just try to have civil conversations about it, because if they try and punish the people who are enacting revenge or punitive justice than they're just a fucking hypocrite!
And Quackity and Dream do not care! They explain this shit a lot, they even make some amount of sense sometimes, they try to make them see how revenge is literally them just dooming themselves to cycle because revenge never stops unless someone breaks the cycle. Neither Q or Dream wants to change though, they want to feel better about the past actions committed to them or their loved ones, and they can't be convinced that torturing each other just keeps them in that headspace and never allows them to move on
Cryptid also notably has a burning hatred for the term 'monster', because to them everyone is just people, yes people hurt each other, but all these words... they have no proper definition, when does a man become a monster? When is something considered evil? Morality is such a subjective and relative thing to them. This does not mean they don't have morals by the way, they have morals, they just know others have different morals and they aren't going to assert themselves as right because what are they, an entitled asshole? Maybe they don't know, but they try not be.
Which extra means their explanations of the cycle of revenge are...... weird plainly put. They try to present it in a practical way, in a way of "well if you're nicer it will directly benefit you," but they also inevitablely add on something along the lines of: "at least some of the time, I mean sometimes people just act like dicks to make themselves feel better, but like you get my point right? I didn't spend 3 hours trying to explain this for you to just throw literally all of it away in favor of perpetuating an unhealthy cycle that I have explained is unhealthy and why? Oh you are going to do that? So I just wasted 3 hours of my life? Great. Just idk give it some thought."
Anyway sorry for rambling about Cryptid's morality so much, morality is just something I find interesting and the triangle of opinions Cryptid, Dream, and Quackity form is real interesting
(as always: Dreaming of Death is an au of the fic Penpal by @calamari-minecraft-corner, and the au technically starts after chapter 31)

Oh! What about 88 “if you hate me so much, why are you letting me do this?” The angst, the misunderstandings, the sit down talk, the fluff
Prompt: 88.If you hate me so much, why are you letting me do this?
Ship: ShigaDabi
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Obsession, Possessiveness, Fear Play, somewhat Dubious Consent, Handjobs, Semi-Public Sex, Yandere Shigaraki
Called Shigaraki gross when they first met each other. That was clearly not a strong enough word for him. Clearly should have found something more severe because the boss is not just kind of gross, his nails biting bloody tracks into his neck and always wearing real severed human hands on his body, but also unhinged. Knew he was obsessive from the very first meeting because Shigaraki was laser-focused on destroying All Might. And okay, yeah, judging him for that may be a pot calling the kettle black kind of situation given his own goals, but he also isn't broadcasting his revenge plot to everyone. He also very quickly gets the impression that Shigaraki has never been told 'no'. All For One clearly wants Shigaraki to feel entitled, will let him take whatever he wants and give him as much support and as many chances as he needs, so long as Shigaraki takes whatever he's after with his own quirk-deadly hands.
Dabi doesn't know what to do with the fact that Shigaraki has decided that he wants him. Didn't even notice that's what was happening at first because he was more focused on making sure that he would be able to get what he needed out of this arrangement so long as he can avoid being stabbed or otherwise mutilated by the more unhinged of his new allies, their overt psychosis more notable than Shigaraki's growing obsession with him.
///
First sign should have probably been, "Dabi, you'll be squad leader for the job."
Blinked because he had been only half paying attention once he heard that they were going after his brother's class. Again. "Okay."
"You'll be working with me on planning the mission." And Shigaraki moved on then. Dabi did too. Wasn't exactly looking forward to spending more time one-on-one with the boss, but at least he would be in charge of this job. Would be able to skew things so hopefully he wouldn't have a run-in with his brother.
///
Second sign should have definitely been Shigaraki pulling him out of conversation any time he got in one with Muscular. Hadn't really noticed that one either because he doesn't like Muscular and one hundred percent of the time when he was talking to that guy he would rather not be. Especially since Muscular had definitely overheard him talking to Magne about sucking dick and had decided that Dabi would be great stress relief if he could figure out the right combination of words to get him on his knees. Which Muscular isn't ever going to do because the asshole is vile and Dabi is absolutely positive he'd have some homophobic slurs to level at him once he's finished.
But he does notice when every time Muscular is trying to chat him up their boss pulls him away for some reason or another. Happens four times before he says something.
"Dabi, I have the new schedule," Shigaraki says rather than anything else when he interrupts this time. Dabi finishes his drink and sets the glass back on the bar, Muscular looking incensed but not saying anything.
"Duty calls." He gives a lazy wave and follows their boss from the bar and up into his room. Waits until the door is closed behind him and Shigaraki is going to retrieve the file from his desk before he says, "Did I look like a deer in headlights or do you just like cockblocking Muscular?"
Shigaraki stills. Has the hand over his face and at this angle he can't see his eyes either. Makes it really hard to tell what he might be thinking. Doesn't answer him immediately.
Dabi shrugs. "Whatever, thanks for the save, Duster." Kind of hates that he is genuinely grateful for the interruptions. "Seems like the type to be a douchebag after getting rejected, at least this way I don't have to and risk losing one of our brawlers before the job."
"You wouldn't sleep with him?" A thin thread of curiosity in Shigaraki's tone as he grabs the file and turns back to face him.
Dabi snorts. "Fuck no. Guy's a prick."
Doesn't expect to find Shigaraki's eyes so intensely focused on him. Always knew that the boss had an intense stare, but he hasn't had it settled so completely on him like this since that first meeting and even then it was softened by the fact that there were other people around. He does his best to look uninterested and reaches to take the file, but when his fingers close around it, Shigaraki doesn't let go. Stuck in limbo for a few seconds trying to figure out what to say when the other man finally speaks.
"Good, he's not worthy of your time."
And the words settle strangely in him. Not sure what to say at that. Not sure what to do with that intense look. Feels a little out of his depths. "...Right." Shigaraki finally lets go of the file and Dabi takes it. Waits, but his boss doesn't say anything else. "See you later." Is planning on taking the file back to his room to read through it himself. Duster doesn't stop him, but his gaze never wavers and his skin is prickling with his nerves when he has to turn his back to the other man to leave. Still feels like he's being watched even when he's back in the privacy of his own room.
But by the next day he's shaken the weirdness of that encounter. Shouldn't have let himself do that.
///
Third sign wasn't so much a sign as it was a blatant declaration of crazy and Dabi should have really, really run for the hills.
"We need someone else doing crowd control." He tells Shigaraki. He's sitting at the desk, Duster on his bed, map of the training camp laid out across the duvet. Is planning on keeping people as separated as possible and fucking up visibility by lighting most of the forest on fire, but some of these kids are fireproof and some definitely have quirks that will help to put out the fires. Needs someone to help him keep them from grouping up like they did during the USJ attack.
"You sound like you have something in mind."
"I know a guy." Not quite asking for permission, doesn't want to lower himself to that, but he does kind of need to get approval before he invites Simon here.
"What does he do?"
"Paralysis quirk. He says 'stop' and anyone who can hear his voice does. Can also selectively release people by instructing them to go."
Shigaraki makes a considering sound in the back of his throat. Can't see his expression behind the mask but his eyes are intense again. "Fine."
And that's that. He gives Simon a call and makes the offer for the job. The other villain agrees, will be by the bar to get an official introduction in the next few days.
Simon will be a good person to have on the job. Will be able to get any brats that are still running around despite the flames, should even be able to lock down the Pros. Is already wondering if they can get some portable speakers to carry around so that he can increase his range. But he's also thinking about getting the other man into his bed. Hasn't gotten laid since he joined up with the League and he's getting a little desperate. Not to mention that Simon's quirk can be fun in the bedroom too. Not sure why he likes being helpless in bed, but it's definitely fun and he can always set the other man on fire if he does something to his paralyzed body that he doesn't like, though that hasn't ever been something he's had to worry about with Simon yet.
Three days come and go and on the fourth the navy blue haired villain shows up. Thin as a rail, a few inches taller than him, new neck tat, nose with a bump from being broken and reset poorly, and a narrow mean face. Probably wouldn't surprise any of the others they'd met at a body modification parlor. But Simon is a pleasant enough guy, introduces himself to the rest of the League, gives a demonstration of his abilities when Shigaraki asks, and when the boss is satisfied, he's officially signed on for the job. They catch him up to speed and when the meeting is over Dabi breaks off with him.
Simon is also apparently eager to have someone who wants his quirk in bed, so they bail on drinks with other League members and head up to his room. It's a decent fuck, always is, the helplessness of the paralysis does something for him, but it always feels like there's a little something missing. Still, he's not complaining. Really, really not complaining because Simon knows him well enough to know not to be clingy afterwards. Releases his quirk as they catch their breath and once they have he stands and dresses before heading to the door as Dabi digs out his pack of cigs.
Things are fine for all of two days after that. And then the League is drinking, their base is a bar, and Simon clocks Muscular trying to get into his space again and he isn't as subtle as Duster is. Comes over and reaches around Dabi to take his glass for himself and finishes the drink before twisting to kiss him. And they're not an item but he would much, much rather Muscular think they are than have him keep this shit up. Simon knows that too, tells him with that kiss that he's happy to just hook up until this job is done and run interference.
Muscular sneers at the pair of them and leaves not long after that. Toga, Magne, and Twice head out too, not sure what they're going to get up to, but he's guessing that it will be interesting. And that's really the floodgates for the others splitting. Shigaraki must be thinking about the job again or something because he's scratching bloody lines in his neck and not paying much attention to anything, so Spinner leaves as he's promptly ignored. Compress is responsible so he goes too as it starts to get closer to being early instead of late anymore. Simon starts to stand too, but Dabi catches him with a finger in his belt loops and pulls him close for another kiss. Doesn't take more coaxing than that to get him to follow him upstairs.
Are kind of struggling to actually make it to his bedroom because they're a little preoccupied trying to devour each other on the way there. Is pressed up against the wall, his fingers tangled in the other man's hair, gasping against his mouth as his thigh presses up between his legs and gets pressure on his steadily hardening cock, when Simon suddenly goes rigid. Dabi also freezes, eyes opening. Sees four fingers wrapped around the back of the other man's neck. Neither of them have a chance to say anything before the fifth finger drops. Dabi yelps, ice drenching his veins as Simon's skin goes gray, cracks racing along his body. Shigaraki holds on until his whole form is gray and cracked and then he squeezes. The added pressure shatters his body, sending a cascade of dust onto the floor of the hallway. Leaves him staring at the space Simon just was, staring now into Shigaraki's furious blood red eyes.
Doesn't even have a chance to say anything before that deadly hand is on him now. His temperature spikes sharply as four fingers press into his cheeks and under his jaw, middle finger raised for the moment, pressing tight enough that his staples hurt. His heart pounds, doesn't know if he could burn the other man before he could drop his finger.
"What the fuck are you doing, Shigaraki?" It's kind of a miracle that his voice doesn't shake. Fuck. Knew the boss was a moody bitch but he's never lashed out at any of them before, always careful not to hurt them if for some reason they stray into his space.
"Not worth your time, Dabi." Gets a little hotter and the finger drops half an inch in warning. Dabi tries to cap the heat desperately as Shigaraki moves in even closer, until their bodies are almost touching, like how Simon was touching him half a minute ago before Duster killed him. "No one else is, you know that now, don't you?"
Pretty sure that he's going to straight up die if he disagrees. "Whatever Shig, but he was useful."
"I'll find someone else for the job, Dabi. You don't need to worry about that. I'll make sure you have everything you need." His thumb shifts to rub over his lower lip, lingering on the texture of the split that runs through it and down his chin. His eyes are so intense on him that Dabi's kind of afraid that his skin is going to catch from the look alone. Swallows hard as he drags his thumb along that seam so slowly, eyes following the movement, strokes over the staples in his chin, and then finally pulls his hand away. Finally takes a step back. Dabi still doesn't think he starts breathing again until after his boss turns and heads down the hall to his own room.
Takes him a minute to manage to push away from the wall. Frowns at the pile of dust that used to be his... friend? Acquaintance. Wonders if he should be more upset that he called him here and got him killed. Wonders if he should feel even worse that he just goes and gets the vacuum out of the hall closet and cleans his remains up and unceremoniously empties him in the dumpster out back. Doesn't need the others to know exactly what happened. If any of them start to get antsy about Shigaraki losing his temper with them as soon as Kurogiri isn't around to deescalate things, then he thinks a few of them will bail. Bad enough that they're going to have to plan around Simon's absence and he was only involved for a few days. The plan falls apart if Compress or Twice leave.
Not so much a red flag as it is a neon fucking sign that Shigaraki is way more unhinged than he initially thought, but Dabi slaps on some blinders. Needs the League's resources to get to Endeavor. He just won't hook up with anyone at base anymore then. Whatever. Not a big deal.
///
Things are fine for another week after that. Duster doesn't do anything that off-putting again and Dabi doesn't grapple with how little he cares about how strange his new boss is when they're elbow deep in the planning stages. Definitely does feel like a deliberate thing that the person Shigaraki replaces Simon with is a fucking middle schooler. Made sure not to add anyone to their party who he might be interested in sleeping with. Whatever. Mustard will be able to get the job done and that's all that really matters to him. He moves on.
But he had been looking forward to having a regular hook-up while working with Simon and he's horny enough after a week to decide to go find a different one. Just a nice distraction for the night hopefully. Is planning on just going out and hitting his old haunts until he finds someone. It's reasonably late when he starts to make his way down the hall to the stairs. Is not expecting for Shigaraki's door to open as he passes it.
Not wearing his mask, his expression visible, frowning at him, his nails already biting at his throat. "Where are you going?"
"Out," he drawls lazily, thinks he can be nonchalant because there's a good meter between them.
Duster's eyes narrow, "Where?"
"Just out. Getting a drink."
"We have a bar downstairs."
"And some air." His skin is starting to prickle a little with heat. Shigaraki hasn't moved but he's feeling... threatened. Duster never grills the others when they come and go. The others get around just fine too when they're away from base, Magne has a long line of heartbroken lovers who would take her back in an instant, Toga is always shopping around for new paramours, not sure why he's garnered such scrutiny from Shigaraki but he is very, very interested in removing it.
Shigaraki takes a step out of his room and Dabi instinctively takes a step back, which, fuck. Puts him going in the wrong direction. "You wouldn't be leaving," takes another step, Dabi forces himself to stay still this time. "Because you're looking to give your attention," moves right up to him, barely six inches apart. "To someone unworthy of it, would you, Dabi?"
His mouth is dry, doesn't know if he's ever heard that low threatening tone from Shigaraki before. His hands are still at his sides, but this close, it wouldn't take much to have five fingers on him. "Why does that matter to you, Shigaraki? I get to decide who's worthy of my time, not you."
Duster's head cocks ever so slightly to the side. "No." What the fuck? Goes on before he can respond to that little declaration. "You don't need to leave anyway," reaches for him then and Dabi lights up his hand. Shigaraki stops, looking at the flame. Does not look nearly worried enough, but the hand that had been reaching to hook around his waist pauses. "I told you that I would make sure you have everything you need."
"What I need, is for you to stop being a creep, Shigaraki." He keeps the flames dancing along his palm and forearm as he steps around the other man, making sure to stay out of his reach. "You may be my boss, but you don't own me." Is definitely going for that drink and also absolutely getting the fuck out of here for a few days. until Shigaraki figures out what the fuck boundaries are.
Is really not expecting the other man to completely ignore his burning hand, his smoking skin, and close in on him anyway. has a split second where he really thinks he's going to have to burn the other man to stop him from killing him. But when Shig reaches for him, he can see his middle finger is already pulled farther back than the others, knows that if he kills Duster that AFO will have him hunted to the ends of the earth--
Lets Shigaraki get his hands on him again. one knotting in his shirt and yanking him forward and the other curling around his throat. Dabi's sure that the other man feels his pulse jump sharply against his palm as he feels four nails biting into his skin. "I want to own you. I want you to be mine." Duster takes a step forward, pushing Dabi back up against the wall, and then he keeps moving, until they're so close that he can feel how much cooler the other man's body is compared to his own and he can feel his breath against his lips. Not wearing his mask, can see how intense, and hungry, and sincere his expression is. "No one else is worthy of having your submission and I'll give you all of the attention you want, Dabi. Just have to behave."
"What the fuck are you talking about, Shigaraki?" There's a choked edge of fear in him now. Wants to get his hand from around his throat.
"You don't need to leave to find someone to take care of you tonight, firefly. Never have to go looking for that again. Never going to have any hand on you like this but mine again."
Sends a shiver down Dabi's spine as Duster leans in, mouth hovering a hair's breadth from his own. "The crush is cute and all, boss, but what if I'm not interested?" Sees Shigaraki's eyes narrow slightly. Sure no one has ever told him 'no' before. Wonders if he's about to die. Keeps running his mouth because he's kind of hoping he figures out a way of extracting himself from this situation before it gets anymore out of hand. "Can barely tolerate you. Tried to kill you a few weeks ago."
"That's okay, I know you won't do that again, Dabi." Eyes settling on his lips, head tilting slightly as he starts to close that tiny space. Dabi presses his hands against Shigaraki's chest, heating his palms in warning, hot enough that the fabric of his shirt starts to smoke slightly.
"Wanna bet?"
"No gamble. If you really didn't know this is what's best for you, you would have already stopped me by now." Hates how sure Shigaraki sounds. "I'll prove it." And the hand around his waist lets go, four fingers against the wall. Dabi's breath hitches as the one around his throat tightens for a second before that one moves to settle on the wall by his head too. Still caged in, but not in as immediate danger as before. Shigaraki presses a little closer, until his hands pressed against the other man's chest are the only barrier between them. "See?"
Doesn't have a chance to retort before Duster is finished waiting, Closes the tiny space between their lips. Kisses him hard, possessive, the texture of his scar and the strange cracks across his skin a distracting sensation. Pulls his focus for a second from the sharp tangled pulse of something that sparks through his veins and makes heat rush through him. Notably doesn't light Shigaraki on fire, which he should really, really be doing.
Breaks the kiss, twisting his face away as Duster tries to follow him, can't retreat far with the wall at his back. Shigaraki's mouth finds his jaw instead. "Don't want you." His voice thin and thready.
Voice as low as his, but far more certain, "Stop me then." Should. Should light him on fire. Should push him away. Not even touching him. Could do it. Could make him stop.
His breath catches in the back of his throat when Shigaraki's mouth drags over his neck, teeth nipping at his skin and tongue following to soothe each little ache. His fingers knot into Shigaraki's shirt. "Don't want to be owned."
"Yes you do, as long as it's me." Needs to bail now. Shigaraki is way more insane than he thought the other man was. Absolutely should not be giving his delusion anything that might be taken as encouragement or he is gonna end up chained up somewhere or dead so that the creep can 'own' him completely.
"Hate you." He gasps, his body going even hotter as Duster presses a thigh between his, rocks it against his crotch and his dick is definitely starting to pay attention to what's happening.
"If you hate me so much, why are you letting me do this?" Tries to kiss him again but Dabi shifts his mouth away again. Shig flicks his tongue over the staples closest to his lips instead. "Can hate me all you want, firefly. Can tell yourself, tell me, how much you don't want it. Can pretend that you're not mine in front of the others." Pulls back, just a little, just enough so that Dabi is having to meet certain, smoldering red eyes. "You're still going to be mine anyway."
"No." Doesn't sound even a fraction as sure as Duster.
"Yes you are. And you know how I know that?" Leans in so that their noses are brushing. "Because you didn't even flinch when I put my hands back on you."
His whole body turns into a tight line as he realizes that yeah, Shigaraki moved. Hand curled back around his hip, the other curled around the back of his neck. Realizes abruptly what was missing from his encounters with Simon. That the helplessness wasn't enough because he always knew he could get out. Because he knew when things went further than he wanted, he could make it stop with a few flashes of his quirk. Knows that he won't ever be able to escape Shigaraki if he's so bound and determined to have him. That he can't even pull away here without risking his life. Realizes that he was missing a heady, intoxicating pulse of fear before.
Closes the scant space between his and Shigaraki's lips, crashes their mouths together again rough enough to reopen the seam of his lip, gasping as the deadly hands on him tighten their grip and Shigaraki meets his reckless desperation with his own. Moans into his mouth as he presses in hard, hand on his hip sliding around to his lower back so that he can pull Dabi in tighter, has his legs spread wide for his thigh and pressing it firmly against his hardening cock. Bad idea, shouldn't be encouraging this. Feels so fucking good when Duster licks his way into his mouth and swallows that desperate sound though.
His skin goes even hotter when the hand around his neck shifts, tangling in his hair and yanking him back to expose the line of his throat. Shigaraki doesn't waste time, mouth back on his neck, teeth following, bites much harder than before, hard enough that his skin is aching and stinging in the distinct way that he knows means bruises, means that he's bleeding too. Should push him away. Tangles his hands in the back of Duster's shirt instead, keeping him close as he rocks against the solid weight of his thigh.
"That's it baby, going to make you feel good."
"Yeah, fucking money where your mouth is, creep." He tries to snap, can't really manage it though when he's so fucking breathless. Four-fingered grip moving over his body, pushing under his shirt to drag over his seams, the other moving to rub his cock through his pants. Fuck. Could kill him in a split second, saw how fast he killed Simon. The pulse of fear in him at the thought has his cock twitching and a little whine catching in the back of his throat as he pulls at the other man's shirt more desperately. Gets his mouth back on his own. Good thing too because he moans way too loudly when Duster pulls his belt loose and starts to make quick work of the clasp of his pants. Fingers pressing in, curling around his cock and stroking readily, his skin cool and dry as it moves over him, still good enough to have him whimpering, trying to hide his face against his shoulder, muffle the sounds coming out of him. They're in the middle of the hall, anyone could walk by, hell, he has no idea how many of the others might already be in their rooms for the night. Absolutely does not want to get caught with Duster's hand down his pants.
"Don't do that, Dabi," his voice so low and hot in his ear as he strokes him torturously slowly, his other hand crawling up his shirt and twisting at his nipple, pulling at the barbell and making his nerves all sing with the riot of pleasure and fear going through him. "So beautiful, baby. Want to hear all of your pretty sounds."
"Duster,"
"Want you to use my name," Strokes a little harder, tugging at his piercings just hard enough to get him letting out a thin gasp again.
"Tomura," Fuck. Should not have given in to that demand so easily. Is going to get himself in a world of trouble if he keeps this up. Is already in more than he ever really expected to get from Shigaraki. Feels like his thoughts are all going to scatter apart when Duster gathers the pre dripping along his length, gets his hand wet with it and starts to stroke him faster. He keens weakly, "Move, room, please?" Really, really doesn't want to get caught. Really should be telling the other man to back off.
"No, not yet baby, want to see you cum right here." Dabi whines again, face flushing, starting to squirm. Doesn't know if he's trying to get away from the deadly hands or if he's trying to get them moving faster. If he needs this to happen faster so that he can get away from Duster or if he just wants to try and pull away because as he does-- the hands tighten on him, sees his middle fingers drop slightly. Fear pulses sharply through him and has him moaning, hips fucking into Shig's fist before he can stop himself. Sees Shigaraki's eyes go molten as he does. "That's it, Dabi, so pretty, so well-behaved, letting me make you feel good. Not going to let anyone else ever touch you like this again. Going to be mine."
"D-doesn't feel that good, creep. You-- ah!" Tightens his grip, twists on the upstroke, feels so good that he's seeing stars, head thumping back against the wall. Shigaraki's mouth immediately finds his neck again, worrying at the bruise he's already left. "You don't own me."
"Not yet." Doesn't like how easily Shigaraki agrees with him as he licks up the blood that's dribbled over his chin from his split lip. definitely some kind of string attached to that agreement. Can't focus on finding it when his temperature is creeping higher and higher, his arousal pulsing beneath his skin and making him breathless. Getting so close. Fuck, hasn't gone racing to his completion like this in so long, usually has more patience, but the tang of fear, fear of getting maimed, fear of getting caught, fear of whatever is going to happen if he feeds into Duster's obsession, is heightening the pleasure. Making him feel a little high, floaty. Tangles a hand in Shigaraki's hair and doesn't really have a chance to make sense of the delighted, satisfied look in those blood red eyes before he's tugging a little. Duster meets his mouth again just as hungrily.
His thighs are shaking, muscles all going more and more tense, making him whine and whimper into the kiss, kind of glad about how hard Shigaraki is pinning him to the wall because if he wasn't, he doesn't know if he would still be standing at this point. Is going to fall apart. Shig must be able to tell he's getting close, can definitely feel how wet he is as he gets closer, can feel the desperate little twitches of his hips as he fucks messily into his fist. Pulls away to watch him and Dabi flushes, doesn't know why he suddenly wants to hide so badly. Tries to shift again, but Shigaraki catches his chin, holds him hard enough to strain his staples and force him still.
"Want you to look at me, baby."
"You're so fucking gross, creep." Doesn't make that intense look waver, doesn't seem to sour it either for the other man. Tugs at his piercings again and Dabi can't smother the moan that it draws out of him, his balls tightening and his skin going so hot that he's starting to trickle smoke from his seams. Close.
"Want you to say my name, Dabi."
"Not gonna happen." His hand goes faster, brings his pleasure higher, can't stop all the soft sounds that are slipping from his bleeding lips, can't escape that consuming look from the other man. Has never felt so drowned in his pleasure before. Feels his orgasm racing towards him and he tries to bite his tongue, tries not to give in. Knows he shouldn't, knows it's a bad idea, knows that he is absolutely completely and utterly fucked when his orgasm crashes through him and he can't stop himself from gasping, "Tomura," as he spills all over the other's hand and inside of his pants.
Duster's mouth seals over his again then, doesn't seem to be bothered with the fact that Dabi is gasping and panting for breath and can't really focus, can't really kiss back with any kind of coordination. takes him a second to realize that Shigaraki is breathing out little praises between the biting kisses, "That's it, so beautiful, such a good boy,"
Is still a little dazed when he twists his face away from him like he had at the beginning. "Still not yours."
"I know, sweetheart." Mouth against his jaw again, voice low and drenched with his own satisfaction. "But you will be soon. Just have to come to my room and let me keep making you feel good, Dabi."
"Can't make me fuck you, Duster." Could try, really would burn him alive, damn the consequences.
"I know that, firefly. Don't need to force you. You're going to come with me because you want to. Because you know that no one else is worthy of your attention. Because you want to be mine." Can't help the little shiver as he murmurs the words against the shell of his ear. Doesn't know when his hand went from in his hair to around his neck, but he should really, really be trying to extract himself from this situation. Should absolutely not be tightening his hold, twisting so that their noses brush and they're sharing breaths as he murmurs,
"I hate you."
"Can keep saying that as long as you want, Dabi. Will only make it better when you admit the truth." Resolves then and there that he never will. Can be more stubborn than Shigaraki knows.
More reckless than he ever thought he was when he presses in for another kiss, this one much slower but no less hot. "Okay, better impress me, Duster, or I'll go looking somewhere else."
Sees his eyes spark, probably says something extremely fucked about his head that his whole body goes a little hotter when he realizes that Shigaraki will kill anyone who ever touches him again. "Come on, firefly, going to show you. Take care of you. Going to love being mine."
Doesn't know if he will. Knows that this is absolutely more than he bargained for when he joined up with the League. Really, really should be putting a stop to this. Never done what he's supposed to before. Lets Duster corral him back toward his room, hands wandering again and pressing kisses to his skin. Shigaraki is absolutely unhinged.
Good thing he kind of likes them crazy.
Thanks for the submission!

The Glitch
Heh. I rendered it for ya, Tumblr.
I've been told (repeatedly) this isn't a problem. I should know that when you say "white" you don't mean me... unless I get a little uppity (my dad, who is much browner than me, used to call me that) about being more than one thing, then I'm definitely white. Shut up. This isn't about you.
I know. It's never about me. It's never about anyone like me. I should just put myself wherever you wanted me to be, and if I guess wrong, you'll tell me. My unearned privileges are on a yo-yo string. Depends how I dress, how I code switch, who I'm near.
I understand that people who look a certain way will get treated a certain way, and then they'll act a certain way, and when they get treated white, the way they act is super irritating. OK, fam. I get it. But I see you acting that way too. I'm in the room, you don't see me, and you say some shit, which you assume is OK because everyone looks like you. And if they're not like you, you're confident you can say whatever you want because it'd be rude for them to mention it. Like Karen-the-feminist explaining that this is not the time or the place to mention that Take Your Daughter to Work Day doesn't do much for immigrant field workers.
Every time you offer me a binary choice, you're expecting me to erase half of myself without comment. If I sit down, I'm white today. If I stay standing, I'm "brown," which is... Jesus. If you thought "Black" made a monolith out of a shit-ton of identities, see what putting me in the same box with Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Guatemalans, Persians and both kinds of Indian gets you. We share a few marginalized traits but we do not all get along or need the same things.
I can't eject the white or the brown from my body on command, I can only fake it for ya to be nice. And you don't notice me doing that and think you're entitled.
I have a good dose of the autism, which I'm also expected to hide on command, so I can't help but bring media into this. You know this asshole?
He's mixed-race Creole. (And, ah, Vivzie, I'm enjoying the show, but I have... I have some notes.) I am positive this thin-skinned, narcissistic, serial-killing creep used to pass both ways, like me. I am positive he heard smiling people of both races say some real stupid shit about him and his family, to his face, and that's why he's like that. (I'm also pretty sure nobody writing for him has a clue.) But people sure do respect the serial killer and give him space. It gets better results than, "Hey, the collection of privileges you're calling 'whiteness' is a spectrum and you and I are both on it." And people react like I'm being just as much of a jackass anyway, if not more of one, although I am not literally murdering anyone about my grievance.
I am not saying I'm going to kill and eat you, my fellow activists, I'm just saying - in a gentle, loving, and metred tone - I understand.
The level of violence I inflict upon you will remain a polite reminder that I am in the room and I will not be erasing myself to conform to your language today. That seems to be difficult enough for y'all to deal with. Just, do be aware, I am still being civil. I am using my words. This is what civility looks like. Uncivil looks like drop-kicking you into a bucket of remoulade. OK? Please adjust your outrage accordingly.
(Though I have elected to share these aspects of myself with you, Tumblr void, please be aware this is only a small part of who I am, and not an invitation to define me. If you wanna talk about you, that's cool. If you wanna be friends, I will tell you how I want to be treated as we go along. I will not perform my identity in a public forum in order to justify my - polite and not-at-all murdery - request that you maybe try not to be dicks about assigning people whiteness, or brownness, or any identity that you think ought to behave a certain way.)
#mixed race#ok sometimes i get tired of being invisible#then i write paragraphs#“you forgot i exist” can't possibly be this offensive#and yet...#*pointedly eying tasty french sauces*

Unpopular Opinion(?)
but I think it's a total green flag for Jin/OG li to want to be a gentleman to Sienna. Yeah at first it kinda sucks to hear about their interactions, but Jin/OG li has honestly been pretty mature about the situation. Like saying how he doesn't want to do too much while you're both coupled up with other people (like you did when you first coupled up). I see this as character development, because before he definitely would've just kissed/did bits or whatever, but now the feelings are deeper and more real and he doesn't want to mess it up. Yeah he's not perfect, but I think it'd be boring and unrealistic if his entire character revolved around just MC and completely blocking out other options. Like if you played S2 on a Gary route....yeah....LMFAOOOO
Anyways, he still defends and backs up MC at literally every given opportunity, he's just not being an absolute asshole about it in front of Sienna (like Liam probably would've tbh). He's also reassured the MC of his feelings pretty consistently, and the communication is their which is great. I honestly just think it's Sienna's delulu antics that are making people question his intentions. I'm just saying...the season is called tempting fate. Fusebox probably wants to make you question your MC's connection with Jin/OG li for the story/drama. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith for funsies 😋✌️
If Jin/OG li were to treat Sienna like absolute crap (like how Liam is treating Bea, or Emel/Oakley, Sophie/Jack, Jin/Luna) then that would turn me off of him so bad, because who's to say he wouldn't do that to MC or other women? He respects women period, and I think that's respectable and a straight up green flag.
Just to reiterate, this is my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and how they feel about it. I just wanted to give my two cents. 🤷♀️
(Also idk if it's unpopular on here, but it definitely is on the Reddit LMFAOOO)
