I'm reading The Murderbot Diaries (Network Effect, so, spoiler alert), and man, Murderbot's relationship with ART makes me insane. It's like, you're an insufferable asshole. You're my best friend. Saying that word makes me retch. You're the only person in the universe who could possibly understand what it's like to be me. I can't possibly understand what it's like to be you. I must look like an ant to you. I've put my unconscious body in your hands and let you alter it. We both love our humans to the point of destruction. You've killed people to protect me and my friends. You only did it because you were between two jobs and bored. We watch TV shows together. I saw you have an emotional breakdown about a historical drama. You could kill me in a hundred different ways. I've brutally murdered several people to avenge you. as a queer person specifically an unlabeled queer person, dream trying to defend him profiting off the ambiguity of his sexuality so he can further manipulate his fans enrages me. him not knowing what queer meant when tubbo brought it up, him still trying to dodge and avoid the question with "well i'm a MAN who's been in a relationship with only women my entire life and its hard to define yada yada" and just instead of like idk. researching more about it?? asking more about it?? he just says oh yeah i'm queer.

like GIRL. you literally just acted like you didn't know what even being queer fucking MEANT. he sounded genuinely confused when tubbo asked him if he was or wasn't queer specifically and then minutes later he's confirming it.

i don't know how to articulate it but it just kinda pisses me off. also not knowing that dnf.gay links directly to your friend's merch store? donating 10 percent, only 10 percent, of the proceeds to charity of your pride merch? then backtracking and syaing "oh no we donated way mroe" but never specifying a number + you conveniently never specified it until now?

combine this with how he defended himself with saying the r slur thing, its just. so insanely manipulative. what we can't attack you because you're queer and neurodivergent?? what next suddenly you're a minor and you've been raised in a cardboard box all alone and your bones break every night and your heart attacks put you to sleep??? shut the fuck up man

Honestly with the workload these kids be getting, what they are studying in school and just generally how they are treated. You really forget these kids are like 6 years old.

Anya is the only one that consistently acts her age and so she sometimes comes off as immature which is insane when you think about it they are all literally 6. This also works cause we can assume she is a year or 2 younger than the rest of her grade, still, even then it’s insane.

Which is why when the other kids actually start to show their age usually in situations of great emotion, the bus hijacking for one. Or even when the kids think one of them is going to have to leave because his family is now poor and they all rally around this kid they never even really spoke to, or when they literally think that some macaroons will make them smarter and help them pass the test. Or when they simply want to play outside.

it’s so jarring and you’re left being like oh right they're six, this isn’t normal. Six-year-olds shouldn't be put under this kind of pressure.

It's another neat little insight into just what kind of society these kids are living in. And a little bit of irony that Loid who wants to create a society where little kids don't have to cry anymore is on a mission that requires the infiltration of a school where little kids can't even be ones.

Very easy to rate music albums, it’s just how many songs out of the total did you like, basic fraction. Any band fluffing the album with songs they aren’t invested in are gonna drag down the score. I think it’ll force more people to recognize that a lot of very good bands are pressured into scraping together 12 songs before they can release when realistically they’re only satisfied with 5 of em.
