There’s a sister/brother named Katherine and Caleb from the Tales from the Crypt movie the Bordello of Blood where the plot is that the sister tries to find her missing brother (who is in an vampire run “whorehouse” of sorts), there’s some other brothers and sisters from that campy show but I can’t remember that much…

"Bordello of Blood" - wow that's a hilarious title.

I could see a story like that having a lot of potential.

After her troublemaking brother, Caleb (Corey Feldman), goes missing, Katherine Verdoux (Erika Eleniak) seeks the services of sarcastic private investigator Rafe Guttman (Dennis Miller) to track the errant youth down. Rafe eventually determines that Caleb is in the thrall of Lilith (Angie Everhart), a powerful vampire who operates a seedy brothel. When Rafe and Katherine set out to rescue Caleb, they must contend with the lethal Lilith and her evil minions.

So have a hc/arc idea for your caleb lives au:So while Caleb is very open-minded, he still grew up in a very repressive society. So when his son comes out and starts to date, Micah, it genuinely disgusts Caleb to a point where he starts getting into fights with Robyn about how it's wrong and how he should be dating a nice girl like Vivian. Then he straight threats to kick Robyn out and cut him off from the family if he doesn't break up with Micah and start dating Vivian. So as to not disappoint his father,Robyn starts fake dating Vivian to secretly meet up with Micah. Eventually, Caleb finds out, and he almost hits Robyn. It's only thanks to Katherine he didn't. Robyn moves out, and Katherine rightfully calls out Caleb on his bs. Caleb tries to justify his actions by saying it's wrong and that people like don't deserve to live. But then Kat turns that around by saying that he thought the same thing about witches, but he came to love and even marry one,so how is this any different. Caleb, stunned by her logic, realized how badly he screwed up. He goes over to Robyn and apologizes. He promises to try and understand Robyn and his sexuality better. He eventually approves of Micah and even later realizes he is bi, too.

Sorry this is so long. The idea was stewing in my head all day. I know this isn't how Caleb is characterized in your au,but I remember an ask where you explained he would struggle with his son being gay so I thought it would be a good idea to explore it in a long term arc if and when you do the Caleb lives au. Again, sorry this was so long, but let me know what you think

I've noted in another ask before that even if Caleb was taught anything outside of heteronormativity is wrong and sinful, at a point where Robyn or any of the potential Calyn kids were to say they are queer and enter relationships Caleb would already be living in the demon realm for a decade.

Robyn and Micah start dating at 16. That's almost 2 decades Caleb would've already spent on the Isles. In my iteration he's pretty much assimilated in the Boiling Isles culture at that point. While saying you're supportive or don't mind queer relationships in theory and then actually doing it are two different things, it by far doesn't mean Caleb and Robyn would fall out this drastically.

Caleb may give off a hurtful reaction at first (by not really reacting to the news of Robyn and Micah being a couple and needing some time alone, leaving Robyn with only his mother's joy and support, for example) but he wouldn't tell Robyn that his sexuality is wrong and go as far as throwing him out or allowing Robyn to be as upset as to leave the house permanently. Not only would Caleb not allow it to come that far but Evelyn would too. She would intervene way quicker and let Caleb know his (non-)reaction hurt Robyn and that her husband better get his shit together here.

When I said Caleb struggles a bit with Robyn's (and his own) bisexuality I didn't mean he is straight up (still) homophobic. It was more meant that he simply needs some time.

The father: Evander Lucian Scarrow was born on 2980.05.17. An average height black man with green eyes, a bit curly brown hair, speaks Italian, works as a blacksmith.

︎ The mother: Leia Katniss Scarrow was born on 2978.11.01. Under average height white woman with blue eyes, light brown hair, speaks Portuguese, sits at home with kid.

︎ Little brother: Caleb Scarrow was born on 3009.01.23. An average height white boy with green eyes, curly light brown hair, speaks Italian.

The father was quite pleasant and cheerful person, working hard to provide good income for the family. The mother was a bit cold, but took good care if children, was visit book club and church.

At the age of 5 Gabriel was sent to the school organized by church. At the same very time Caleb was born.

Family was known as good one, the father from hardworking family of blacksmiths, while the mother from an intelligent family of traders.

In the night of 3012.07.04 fire started in the village also known as a "Great Fire", which took over more than sixths villages and almost destroyed southwestern plains.

︎ When Gabriel woke up, the house was already burning. He and his brother were sleeping on the second floor, while parents were on the first. He rushed to his brother room, trying to save him. When boys reached down the first floor throw fire, last thing Gabriel saw is his father's burnt body.

In the morning he woke up, seeing firefighters around and doctors. When he asked, where his brother was, they said they found him alone.

︎ Few days after the whole family of Scarrow was officially declared dead, even though they didn't manage to find mother's or brother's bodies.

Gabriel was sent to mother's sister house. His Aunt Elizabeth Meyer with her Husband Travis Meyer.

︎ Gabriel wasn't welcomed in the house, since mother's family never approved her marriage with a black man. He was staying in the small room on the first floor of the mansion with a daughter of one of the maids, who's name was Amethyst Haber.

︎ The uncle changes his documents, giving him last name "Upton", so no one would associate him with Scarrow family.

Gabriel was going to the new church school, since mother's family was very religious. For four years he was barely acknowledge by his aunt or uncle, but got pretty close to Amethyst and her mother Cindy.

︎ In the fourth of October 3016 he was caught fighting with a boy in a school backyard. Aunt and uncle sent him to the orphanage few days after.

︎ From 3016 to 3017 he changed about three orphanage, until he got into Upperhills' orphanage, where quickly enough Langells took him in.

︎ Managed to change his documents fully, changes the sex to male, name to Gabriel Matthew and last name back to Scarrow.

︎ Langells family already had plenty of adopted kids.

︎ The father: Xanth Langell was born on 3075.09.26. An average height white man with brown eyes, staring blonde hair, speaks German and works as a trader.

︎ The father was more of a stoic man, taking care of the family by providing the income and teaching them important aspects of life such as self defense and ect.

︎ The mother was more of a hearty person, but didn't have enough time to always take care of the children.

︎ Scott was a bit of a careless guy, always getting into fights and being in a bad company. He did take care of his siblings from time to time, but usually it was only watching them not to kill themselves.

Sam was a bit clingy, a bit clumsy, but very caring. She always took the cooking part of the house chores and read for youngers a "Goodnight" book.

︎ Chris was trying to simulate Scott's behavior, but was too much of a scary cat, so he always ended up hiding behind Sam or Scott. Usually played alone in the backyard with mother's plants.

︎ Ash and Ashley were a chaotic duo, who listened only to Sofia, Sam and Gabriel. If someone was pranked in the village, it's probably their fault, but it was almost impossible for anyone to prove it.

︎ When Gabriel got in the family, parents offered him a chance to go to school or the church, but he declined, saying he would prefer to study at home and only passing exams in school. He also declined the church offer, since his church was nowhere around this area.

︎ Because Scott was a careless person, Gabriel basically took the role of "big brother", applying to o job to help the parents, taking care of his siblings, helping them with school and preventing most of the fights Scott tried to get into.

owl house empires au masterpost - this will be edited and updated with new ideas!

hello! i am currently in progress of writing an empires owl house au fic, and i am currently in the planning stage! ive decided to show this off to the hellsite because why not

spoilers to the owl house under the cut so dont read this if u havent finished

the plot will be similar to the main series, with some tweaks and extra adventures to add something to it and not just make it a nameswap fic

shelby - luz - 15, lives with her gran (camila noceda character)

katherine - amity - 15 and in the plant track at hexside,

gem - eda - the deer lady

sausage - basically just king but he can speak spanish because gem has some spanish books from the human realm

jimmy - willow - healing track, younger but more mature brother to lizzie, romantic interest is scott

lizzie - gus - oracle (and later potions) track, jimmy's older yet less mature sister, tries scamming people occasionally

mattholomule - joel - construction, rivals with jimmy, tries to help with new hexside during the collector's reign, but joey shuts him down.

emperor xornoth - belos - formerly a full human, now half demonic with the palisman curse, who was transported to the boiling isles with his older twin brother, scott. scott found love in a witch in the isles and xornoth murdered scott after finding out

the golden guard, scott - a grimwalker of the original older twin of xornoth, about the age of 16

fwhip - lilith - the older twin brother to gem, cursed her when they were children so he could enter the emperors coven. is the head of the emperors coven. attains half of gem's curse at the end of arc 1, where he becomes a

i have another post in which i am asking for some help on the cast, but if any of yall have ideas, i will gladly take suggestions for chapters in this series! hopefully i can fully flesh out the story, otherwise i might just do one shots, but nonetheless i hope you enjoyed the idea!

edit: new idea from @litteralflower17: gonna have the original xornoth and scott go by cohnal and alinar when they originally come to the boiling isles (like how philip went by belos and named caleb's clones hunter) so the original brothers would be cohnal major (sounds silly but whatever) and alinar major
